The 2008 Mumbai attacks were a series of coordinated shootings and bombings carried out by Islamist terrorists, killing 164 people and wounding over 300. The attackers, trained in Pakistan, targeted multiple sites including the Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus and the Taj Mahal Palace, using advanced planning and weaponry. Ajmal Kasab was the only attacker captured alive, confessing to the support of the Pakistani ISI and aiming to replicate previous terrorist incidents.
