The Self-Balancing Two-wheeler (Segway) Human Transporter is a personal transport device that uses a built-in computer to remain upright. The aim of this project is to mimic the design of the Self-Balancing Two-wheeler (Segway) and build a low-cost Segway. The first stage of this project is to design the mechanical structure of the transport device. According to different power and functional requirements, different mechanical and electronic components have been chosen for the implementation. The rider shifting weight and a manual turning mechanism on the handlebar are used to control the speed and direction of the Self-Balancing Two-wheeler (Segway). Gyroscope and variable resistor are used to monitor user’s physical motion. The Segway is an intelligent vehicle which uses gyroscopic sensors to detect the motion of rider, so that he can accelerate, brake or steer the vehicle. The conventional Segway available in the market are very costly as they are not available locally. Hence the need to design and fabricate a cost-efficient Segway which could be affordable and the same time be reliable to withstand a rider up to 70-80kgs. In this project an attempt has been made to design and fabricate a Segway with minimum resources.
Balancing a Segway robot using LQR controller based on genetic and bacteria f...TELKOMNIKA JOURNAL
A two-wheeled single seat Segway robot is a special kind of wheeled mobile robot, using it as a human transporter system needs applying a robust control system to overcome its inherent unstable problem. The mathematical model of the system dynamics is derived and then state space formulation for the system is presented to enable design state feedback controller scheme. In this research, an optimal control system based on linear quadratic regulator (LQR) technique is proposed to stabilize the mobile robot. The LQR controller is designed to control the position and yaw rotation of the two-wheeled vehicle. The proposed balancing robot system is validated by simulating the LQR using Matlab software. Two tuning methods, genetic algorithm (GA) and bacteria foraging optimization algorithm (BFOA) are used to obtain optimal values for controller parameters. A comparison between the performance of both controllers GA-LQR and BFO-LQR is achieved based on the standard control criteria which includes rise time, maximum overshoot, settling time and control input of the system. Simulation results suggest that the BFOA-LQR controller can be adopted to balance the Segway robot with minimal overshoot and oscillation frequency.

This paper presents a PFC (Power Factor Correction) Cuk converter fed BLDC (Brushless DC) motor drive and the speed of BLDC motor is controlled using fuzzy logic implementation. The PFC converters are employed to enhance the power quality. The Brushless DC motor speed is under the control of DC-bus voltage of VSI-Voltage Source Inverter in which switching of low frequency is used. This helps in the electronic commutation of BLDC motors thus decreasing the switching losses in VSI. A DBR (Diode Bridge Rectifier) next to the PFC Cuk converter controls the voltage at DC link maintaining unity power factor. The characteristics of Cuk converter in four dissimilar modes of operation are studied such as continuous and discontinuous conduction modes (CCM and DCM) respectively. The entire system is simulated using Matlab/Simulink software and the simulation results are reported to verify the performance investigation of the proposed system.

Analysis of Variable MLI Based BLDC Motor Drive with PFC for Reduced Torque R...IJERA Editor
This paper presents a power factor corrected (PFC) bridgeless (BL) buck–boost converter-fed brushless direct
current (BLDC) motor drive as a cost-effective solution for low-power applications. An approach of speed
control of the BLDC motor by controlling the dc link voltage of the voltage source inverter (VSI) is used with a
single voltage sensor. This facilitates the operation of VSI at fundamental frequency switching by using the
electronic commutation of the BLDC motor which offers reduced switching losses. A BL configuration of the
buck–boost converter is proposed which offers the elimination of the diode bridge rectifier, thus reducing the
conduction losses associated with it. A PFC BL buck–boost converter is designed to operate in discontinuous
inductor current mode (DICM) to provide an inherent PFC at ac mains. The performance of the proposed drive
is evaluated over a wide range of speed control and varying supply voltages (universal ac mains at 90–265 V)
with improved power quality at ac mains. The obtained power quality indices are within the acceptable limits of
international power quality standards such as the IEC 61000-3-2. The performance of the proposed drive is
simulated in MATLAB/Simulink environment, and the obtained results are validated experimentally on a
developed prototype of the drive.

Brushless DC motor is a synchronous machine that makes use of electronic commutation instead of mechanical commutator. Brushless DC motors makes use of inverter encompassing static switches for its operation. A simple bridge converter when used for BLDC drive as front end converter makes input source power factor to get reduced which is unacceptable in the power system. To avoid the distortions in the source voltage and source currents, Buck converter which was used as power factor correction (PFC) converter in this paper to improve the power factor. Presence of power electronic converters deteriorates system power factor effecting overall system performance. This paper presents buck converter for power factor correction in brushless DC motor drive system. Buck converter is operated with current control strategy rather to conventional voltage follower control. Simulation model was obtained using MATLAB/SIMULINK software and the brushless DC motor performance characteristics were shown for conditions with different DC link voltages and step variation in DC link voltage. Total harmonic distortion in source current was also presented.

Power Factor Correction in Two Leg Inverter Fed BLDC Drive Using Cuk Dc-Dc Co...IJPEDS-IAES
Earlier for variable speed application conventional motors were used, but
these motors have poor characteristics. These drawbacks were overcome by
brushless Dc motor drive. Now days in most of the applications such as
industrial, domestic, aerospace, defense, medical and traction etc, brushless
DC motor (BLDCM) is popular for its high efficiency, high torque to weight
ratio, small size, and high reliability, ease of control and low maintenance
etc. BLDC motor is a electronic commutator driven drive i.e. it uses a threephase
voltage source inverter for its operation, electronic devices means there
is a problem of poor power quality, more torque ripple and speed
fluctuations. This paper deals with the CUK converter two leg inverter fed
BLDCM drive in closed loop operation. The proposed control strategy on
CUK converter two leg inverter fed BLDCM drive with split DC source is
modeled and implemented using MATLAB/Simulink. The proposed method
improves the efficiency of the drive system with Power factor correction
feature in wide range of the speed control, less torque ripple and smooth
speed control.
The voltage source inverters (VSI) are ever required section in the AC motor drive and power system interface. The electrical drive segment, the VSI based drives are unavoidable and they are closely operated with induction motor, permanent magnate synchronous motor and BLDC motor. These drives are normally needed high torque-power characters. Hence, the input DC-link side voltage is increased with help of increasing input AC in the rectifier input. However, this causes the power quality disturbance in the AC main and DC-link. In order to go for a increasing the AC voltage, the rectifier out is connected with DC to DC boost converter and they are increasing the DC voltage to meet out the drive DC-link voltage demand. With this aim, the paper proposes the idea to connect high step non-isolated high gain coupled DC to DC converter with three phase VSI for drives applications. The proposed converter has an ability to increase the voltage five times and the counter winding arrangement ratio of the converter is help for the further increase of gain. Inn this interface the front end DC to DC converters inductors are charged by making the short circuit with inverter switching. The converter voltage gain is controlled by shoot through of the VSI switch (converter gain directly proportional to inverter shoot through). The proposed converter has a higher degree of freedom in their values of winding and output voltage. Hence, the DC-link voltage of the inverter can be extended in any level. The operation principle and modes of the proposed DC to DC Source tied VSI is analyzed and simulated using MATLAB-Simulink software simulation. The laboratory based small scale power circuit is developed with help of control algorithm. The entire implementation is done through PIC microcontroller platform. The deign Investigation, system simulation and experimentation confirming the proposed DC to DC converter tied VSI drive system.

An Alternative to Hard Drives in the Coming Future:DNA-BASED DATA STORAGEvivatechijri
Demand for data storage is growing exponentially, but the capacity of existing storage media is not keeping up, there emerges a requirement for a storage medium with high capacity, high storage density, and possibility to face up to extreme environmental conditions. According to a research in 2018, every minute Google conducted 3.88 million searches, other people posted 49,000 photos on Instagram, sent 159,362,760 e-mails, tweeted 473,000 times and watched 4.33 million videos on YouTube. In 2020 it estimated a creation of 1.7 megabytes of knowledge per second per person globally, which translates to about 418 zettabytes during a single year. The magnetic or optical data-storage systems that currently hold this volume of 0s and 1s typically cannot last for quite a century. Running data centres takes vast amounts of energy. In short, we are close to have a substantial data-storage problem which will only become more severe over time. Deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) are often potentially used for these purposes because it isn't much different from the traditional method utilized in a computer. DNA’s information density is notable, 215 petabytes or 215 million gigabytes of data can be stored in just one gram of DNA. First we can encode all data at a molecular level and then store it in a medium that will last for a while and not become out-dated just like floppy disks. Due to the improved techniques for reading and writing DNA, a rapid increase is observed in the amount of possible data storage in DNA.
The usage of chatbots has increased tremendously since past few years. A conversational interface is an interface that the user can interact with by means of a conversation. The conversation can occur by speech but also by text input. When a chatty interface uses text, it is also described as a chatbot or a conversational medium. During this study, the user experience factors of these so called chatbots were investigated. The prime objective is “to spot the state of the art in chatbot usability and applied human-computer interaction methodologies, to research the way to assess chatbots usability". Two sorts of chatbots are formulated, one with and one without personalisation factors. the planning of this research may be a two-by-two factorial design. The independent variables are the two chatbots (unpersonalised versus personalised) and thus the speci?c task or goal the user are ready to do with the chatbot within the ?nancial ?eld (a simple versus a posh task). The results are that there was no noteworthy interaction effect between personalisation and task on the user experience of chatbots. A signi?cant di?erence was found between the two tasks with regard to the user experience of chatbots, however this variation wasn't because of personalisation.

Cross Platform Development Using Fluttervivatechijri
Today the development of cross-platform mobile application has under the state of compromise. The developers are not willing to choose an alternative of either building the similar app many times for many operating systems or to accept a lowest common denominator and optimal solution that will going to trade the native speed, accuracy for portability. The Flutter is an open-source SDK for creating high-performance, high fidelity mobile apps for the development of iOS and Android. Few significant features of flutter are - Just-in-time compilation (JIT), Ahead- of-time compilation (AOT compilation) into a native (system-dependent) machine code so that the resulting binary file can execute natively. The Flutter’s hot reload functionality helps us to understand quickly and easily experiment, build UIs, add features, and fix bugs. Hot reload works by injecting updated source code files into the running Dart Virtual Machine (VM). With the help of Flutter, we believe that we would be having a solution that gives us the best of both worlds: hardware accelerated graphics and UI, powered by native ARM code, targeting both popular mobile operating systems.

Recommender System (RS) has emerged as a significant research interest that aims to assist users to seek out items online by providing suggestions that closely match their interests. Recommender system, an information filtering technology employed in many items is presented in internet sites as per the interest of users, and is implemented in applications like movies, music, venue, books, research articles, tourism and social media normally. Recommender systems research is usually supported comparisons of predictive accuracy: the higher the evaluation scores, the higher the recommender. One amongst the leading approaches was the utilization of advice systems to proactively recommend scholarly papers to individual researchers. In today's world, time has more value and therefore the researchers haven't any much time to spend on trying to find the proper articles in line with their research domain. Recommender Systems are designed to suggest users the things that best fit the user needs and preferences. Recommender systems typically produce an inventory of recommendations in one among two ways -through collaborative or content-based filtering. Additionally, both the general public and also the non-public used descriptive metadata are used. The scope of the advice is therefore limited to variety of documents which are either publicly available or which are granted copyright permits. Recommendation systems (RS) support users and developers of varied computer and software systems to beat information overload, perform information discovery tasks and approximate computation, among others.

Social media platform and Our right to privacyvivatechijri
The advancement of Information Technology has hastened the ability to disseminate information across the globe. In particular, the recent trends in ‘Social Networking’ have led to a spark in personally sensitive information being published on the World Wide Web. While such socially active websites are creative tools for expressing one’s personality it also entails serious privacy concerns. Thus, Social Networking websites could be termed a double edged sword. It is important for the law to keep abreast of these developments in technology. The purpose of this paper is to demonstrate the limits of extending existing laws to battle privacy intrusions in the Internet especially in the context of social networking. It is suggested that privacy specific legislation is the most appropriate means of protecting online privacy. In doing so it is important to maintain a balance between the competing right of expression, the failure of which may hinder the reaping of benefits offered by Internet technology

A Study of Tokenization of Real Estate Using Blockchain Technologyvivatechijri
Real estate is by far one of the most trusted investments that people have preferred, being a lucrative investment it provides a steady source of income in the form of lease and rents. Although there are numerous advantages, one of the key downsides of real estate investments is lack of liquidity. Thus, even though global real estate investments amount to about twice the size of investments in stock markets, the number of investors in the real estate market is significantly lower. Block chain technology has real potential in addressing the issues of liquidity and transparency, opening the market to even retail investors. Owing to the functionality and flexibility of creating Security Tokens, which are backed by real-world assets, real estate can be made liquid with the help of Special Purpose Vehicles. Tokens of ERC 777 standard, which represent fractional ownership of the real estate can be purchased by an investor and these tokens can also be listed on secondary exchanges. The robustness of Smart Contracts can enable the efficient transfer of tokens and seamless distribution of earnings amongst the investors. This work describes Ethereum blockchainbased solutions to make the existing Real Estate investment system much more efficient.

CFD Simulation of By-pass Flow in a HRSG module by R&R Consult.pptxR&R Consult
CFD analysis is incredibly effective at solving mysteries and improving the performance of complex systems!
Here's a great example: At a large natural gas-fired power plant, where they use waste heat to generate steam and energy, they were puzzled that their boiler wasn't producing as much steam as expected.
R&R and Tetra Engineering Group Inc. were asked to solve the issue with reduced steam production.
An inspection had shown that a significant amount of hot flue gas was bypassing the boiler tubes, where the heat was supposed to be transferred.
R&R Consult conducted a CFD analysis, which revealed that 6.3% of the flue gas was bypassing the boiler tubes without transferring heat. The analysis also showed that the flue gas was instead being directed along the sides of the boiler and between the modules that were supposed to capture the heat. This was the cause of the reduced performance.
Based on our results, Tetra Engineering installed covering plates to reduce the bypass flow. This improved the boiler's performance and increased electricity production.
It is always satisfying when we can help solve complex challenges like this. Do your systems also need a check-up or optimization? Give us a call!

Cosmetic shop management system project report.pdfKamal Acharya
Buying new cosmetic products is difficult. It can even be scary for those who have sensitive skin and are prone to skin trouble. The information needed to alleviate this problem is on the back of each product, but it's thought to interpret those ingredient lists unless you have a background in chemistry.
Instead of buying and hoping for the best, we can use data science to help us predict which products may be good fits for us. It includes various function programs to do the above mentioned tasks.
Data file handling has been effectively used in the program.
The automated cosmetic shop management system should deal with the automation of general workflow and administration process of the shop. The main processes of the system focus on customer's request where the system is able to search the most appropriate products and deliver it to the customers. It should help the employees to quickly identify the list of cosmetic product that have reached the minimum quantity and also keep a track of expired date for each cosmetic product. It should help the employees to find the rack number in which the product is placed. It is also Faster and more efficient way.

I. INTRODUCTION
This paper is giving the information to improve the Power Factor of PMBLDC Motor. Mainly in
ventilating systems to achieve the below, which is difficult in conventional system. Achieve the steady and
smooth speed control to maintain the constant Room temperature. Minimize the Harmonics in power system due
to the continuous switching millions of ventilating system and main higher efficiency. The ventilating system is
energy conserving application which normally uses single phase induction motors for driving of compressor and
fans. The efficiency is between 70-80%. The PMBLDC motor have high efficiency for the compressor
application. In the actual system permanent magnet brushless DC motor is replacing single phase induction motor
used in air conditioners for driving compressor and fan for its low power utilization. BLDC motor is connected to
the Single-phase AC supply through Diode Bridge Rectifiers (DBR) and Smoothing Filters of DC link Capacitor.
In this process having various power quality (PQ) disturbances such as poor power factor (PF), increased total
harmonic distortion (THD) harmonics which reduces the power quality and causes unwanted electromagnetic
interference. High torque ripple is one of drawbacks of BLDC motor.

analysis of digital controllers for brushless DC motor drives." IEEE/ASME transactions on mechatronics
19, no. 1 (2020): 213-224.
This paper presents design and digital implementation of a fuzzy controller for achieving improved
performance of Brushless dc (BLDC) servomotor drive. The performance of fuzzy and PID controller-based
BLDC servomotor drives is investigated under different operating conditions such as change in reference speed,
parameter variations, load disturbance, etc. BLDC servomotors are used in aerospace, instrumentation systems,
space vehicles, electric vehicles, robotics, and industrial control applications. In such applications, conventional
controllers like P, PI, and PID are being used with the BLDC servomotor drive control systems to achieve
satisfactory transient and steady state responses. However, the major problem associated with the conventional
PID controller is that the tuned gain parameters obtained for such BLDC servomotor drive control systems do not
yield better transient and steady-state responses under different operating conditions such as parameter variations,
load disturbances, etc. In this paper, design and implementation of fuzzy controller is presented and its
performance is compared with PID controller to show its apability to track the error and usefulness of fuzzy
controller in control applications.

air- conditioners." IEEE transactions on industry applications 48, no. 2 (2019): 832-838.
This paper deals with a CUK dc-dc converter as a single-stage power-factor-correction converter for a
permanent-magnet (PM) brushless dc motor (PMBLDCM) fed through a diode bridge rectifier from a single-
phase ac mains. A three- phase voltage-source inverter is used as an electronic COMMUTATOR to operate the
PMBLDCM driving an air- conditioner compressor. The speed of the compressor is controlled to achieve
optimum air-conditioning using a concept of the voltage control at dc link proportional to the desired speed of the
PMBLDCM. The stator currents of the PMBLDCM during step change in the reference speed are controlled
within the specified limits by an addition of a rate limiter in the reference dc link voltage. The proposed
PMBLDCM drive (PMBLDCMD) is designed and modeled, and its performance is evaluated in MATLAB-
SIMULINK environment. Simulated results are presented to demonstrate an improved power quality at ac mains
of the PMBLDCMD system in a wide range of speed and input ac voltage. Test results of a developed controller
are also presented to validate the design and model of the drive.

Power Electronics 30, no. 2 (2019): 871-887
This paper deals with a power factor correction (PFC)-based CUK converter-fed brushless dc motor
(BLDC) drive as a cost-effective solution for low-power applications. The speed of the BLDC motor is controlled
by varying the dc-bus voltage of a voltage source inverter (VSI) which uses a low frequency switching of VSI
(electronic commutation of the BLDC motor) for low switching losses. A diode bridge rectifier followed by a
CUK converter working in a discontinuous conduction mode (DCM) is used for control of dc-link voltage with
unity power factor at ac mains. Performance of the PFC CUK converter is evaluated under four different
operating conditions of discontinuous and continuous conduction modes (CCM) and a comparison is made to
select a best suited mode of operation. The performance of the proposed system is simulated in a
MATLAB/SIMULINK environment and a hardware prototype of the proposed drive is developed to validate its
performance over a wide range of speed with unity power factor at ac mains.

III. METHODOLOGY
The following is the design methodology for the project Induction motor protection using PLC.
Block Diagram
The block diagram set-up is shown. The experimental set-up consists of four components. MOSFET power
inverter, BLDC Motor, RF Transmitter and Receiver units. The hall sensors are used to generate three signals
according to the rotor positions. Here the Single-Phase AC source is used as an input. Further it will be passed to
the controlled rectifier where it will be converted AC supply to DC supply. The filter is provided is used to
remove the harmonics in the rectified DC source. Then it will be passed through the single phase to three phase
inverters. It converted uncontrolled DC to pulsated or controlled DC.
The controlled DC current is used to run the BLDC motor. The rotor position is sense by the Hall Effect
sensor and this signal is amplified. The set speed is transmitted by the RF transmitter and at the receiving end, the
receiver receives this analog value on a single data line and transmitted this data to the decoder. It will convert
the single bit data to the eight-bit data. After this data gives to the microcontroller further processing. Here the
controller compares the reference set speed and the actual speed and it varies according to it and determines the
error speed and generates the control signal which sends them to the MOSFET inverter circuits. These signals are
applied to the windings which is used to operate the switching operation in the power inverter. Then the speed of
the BLDC motor is controlled by using the microcontroller.

V. CONCLUSION
The power factor correction is successfully executed by using the Landsman Converter. Due to
improve the power factor this circuit not only provides better power quality, but also the converter removes the
ripple form the smooth DC output. The PID controller increases application range of the motor by increasing the
reliability. The motor is used in areas such as aerospace, aircraft and mining applications. The NFLC is used to
control the motor speed and the Landsman Converter is used for the power factor improvement. Due to this the
Landsman Converter is found to provide better power quality. The Analysis has been done for Continuous
conduction in the Landsman Converter as both are not capable of self. A sample model is implemented in
laboratory and detailed experimental studies are carried out. It is observed that the experimental results are
consistent with the simulation results.
AC and motor operated on the 24V maximum in the BLDC motor. The voltage control is implemented
for the simulation. And we calculate the power factor from active power and apparent power. In Hardware we
use the input as 24V AC and 12V for motor operation is utilized. The voltage control will be implemented. The
power factor is depending upon the input voltage and Current.
