CRM Trends: From Multi Channels to Cross ChannelsEinat Shimoni
The document discusses trends in customer relationship management (CRM) from 2009. It notes that CRM is shifting from transactions to interactions and customer experience management. As customers use multiple channels to engage with companies, there is a need for organizations to adopt a holistic multi-channel CRM strategy rather than managing channels separately. However, many companies are not analyzing customer interactions across channels or taking a unified view of the customer experience. Social media is also transforming customers into more vocal participants in conversations about brands and products. The key is for companies to maximize the customer experience through a collaborative, cross-channel approach.

"Lean IT practices, from theory to application" by Mike OrzenOperae Partners
The document discusses applying lean principles to IT. It begins by explaining that value in IT comes from information, not functionality alone. It then describes how IT work can be visualized through multiple interconnected value streams. The document advocates understanding real work, streamlining communication, simplifying processes, and using hypothesis-driven problem solving. It provides an example of applying these principles to processing client records. Finally, it discusses challenges of continuous process improvement in IT and offers examples of areas where lean has been applied successfully.
The document discusses trends in enterprise applications such as CRM, ERP, BPM and analytics. It covers the shift to more integrated solutions delivered via software as a service (SaaS) and composite applications. It also summarizes trends in CRM, including the growth of customer experience management and analytics, and increasing adoption of SaaS CRM solutions globally and in Israel.
Managing the Data Center with JBoss SOA-PColloquium
The document discusses how data centers and computing will change in the future. It predicts that data centers will become more distributed, dynamic, and able to instantly deploy services anywhere. The network will continue to be a bottleneck for distributed computing. Standards are needed for cloud and grid computing but no single standard is likely to dominate. The JBoss SOA platform can help manage infrastructure and coordinate deployments between the infrastructure and platform layers.

- Most investment prospects for Birmingham currently come from North America, Europe and Asia.
- In 2011/12, some of Marketing Birmingham's most successful projects that created jobs were in the automotive, digital/creative, and financial services sectors.
- Marketing Birmingham provides research and intelligence services free of charge to help attract business and investment to Birmingham.
Let's face it, not all of us made it past first grade finger-painting when it comes to visually appealing architecture models. In practical terms, creating models that lend themselves to multiples audiences is challenge that sometimes requires more artistic flare than hard technology facts. It is not a one-size-fits-all proposition, and demonstrating architecture value to various customers, partners, executives and implementation teams is a critical skill. Unfortunately, architecture tools often compound the problem by generating artifacts that resemble a cross between ancient Greek and Egyptian hieroglyphics.
The session will step through visually engaging architecture diagrams useful in linking and communicating business objectives to expected outcomes during the different TOGAF ADM phases.

How information systems are built or acquired puts information, which is what they should be about, in a secondary place. Our language adapted accordingly, and we no longer talk about information systems but applications. Applications evolved in a way to break data into diverse fragments, tightly coupled with applications and expensive to integrate. The result is technical debt, which is re-paid by taking even bigger "loans", resulting in an ever-increasing technical debt. Software engineering and procurement practices work in sync with market forces to maintain this trend. This talk demonstrates how natural this situation is. The question is: can something be done to reverse the trend?
Freshworks Rethinks NoSQL for Rapid Scaling & Cost-EfficiencyScyllaDB

Digital Banking in the Cloud: How Citizens Bank Unlocked Their MainframePrecisely
Inconsistent user experience and siloed data, high costs, and changing customer expectations – Citizens Bank was experiencing these challenges while it was attempting to deliver a superior digital banking experience for its clients. Its core banking applications run on the mainframe and Citizens was using legacy utilities to get the critical mainframe data to feed customer-facing channels, like call centers, web, and mobile. Ultimately, this led to higher operating costs (MIPS), delayed response times, and longer time to market.
Ever-changing customer expectations demand more modern digital experiences, and the bank needed to find a solution that could provide real-time data to its customer channels with low latency and operating costs. Join this session to learn how Citizens is leveraging Precisely to replicate mainframe data to its customer channels and deliver on their “modern digital bank” experiences.

zkStudyClub - LatticeFold: A Lattice-based Folding Scheme and its Application...Alex Pruden
Folding is a recent technique for building efficient recursive SNARKs. Several elegant folding protocols have been proposed, such as Nova, Supernova, Hypernova, Protostar, and others. However, all of them rely on an additively homomorphic commitment scheme based on discrete log, and are therefore not post-quantum secure. In this work we present LatticeFold, the first lattice-based folding protocol based on the Module SIS problem. This folding protocol naturally leads to an efficient recursive lattice-based SNARK and an efficient PCD scheme. LatticeFold supports folding low-degree relations, such as R1CS, as well as high-degree relations, such as CCS. The key challenge is to construct a secure folding protocol that works with the Ajtai commitment scheme. The difficulty, is ensuring that extracted witnesses are low norm through many rounds of folding. We present a novel technique using the sumcheck protocol to ensure that extracted witnesses are always low norm no matter how many rounds of folding are used. Our evaluation of the final proof system suggests that it is as performant as Hypernova, while providing post-quantum security.

Chris Jones, Director of Product Management at BrainChip , presents the “Temporal Event Neural Networks: A More Efficient Alternative to the Transformer” tutorial at the May 2024 Embedded Vision Summit.
The expansion of AI services necessitates enhanced computational capabilities on edge devices. Temporal Event Neural Networks (TENNs), developed by BrainChip, represent a novel and highly efficient state-space network. TENNs demonstrate exceptional proficiency in handling multi-dimensional streaming data, facilitating advancements in object detection, action recognition, speech enhancement and language model/sequence generation. Through the utilization of polynomial-based continuous convolutions, TENNs streamline models, expedite training processes and significantly diminish memory requirements, achieving notable reductions of up to 50x in parameters and 5,000x in energy consumption compared to prevailing methodologies like transformers.
Integration with BrainChip’s Akida neuromorphic hardware IP further enhances TENNs’ capabilities, enabling the realization of highly capable, portable and passively cooled edge devices. This presentation delves into the technical innovations underlying TENNs, presents real-world benchmarks, and elucidates how this cutting-edge approach is positioned to revolutionize edge AI across diverse applications.
