Intergalactic Background Checks
Why we will never accept Intergalactic Background Checks
It never fails, whenever there is a serious crisis involving guns, the Socialist Left wastes no time in
trotting out their favourite hobby horse of Background Checks Intergalactic and otherwise.
So why do they obsess over this issue that won t solve the problem anyway? Why is this so important
to them and a danger to our civil rights? This will be an examination of the underlying elements of this
issue and why gun owners will never accept government control over their private property.
The debate over the 1st and 2nd amendments and the rest of the Constitution is really about who
maintains the constraints on the government. If the people hold these controls, the government ...

The best they can offer is the much abused commerce clause and even that falls short given that refers
to commerce between the states, not between neighbours and friends.
This is a very important, but rarely discussed issue that goes to the central tenets of liberty.
Our civil rights are based upon the control of private property. In fact one could argue that it s not
even private property if it s under government edict. While some would like to cite the adage that
possession is nine tenths of the law the reality is that ownership is vested in the entity that controls an
item s storage, use and transference. If the government controls those parameters it is the true owner
of that property with the people being it s temporary possessors.
There are those desirous of control who want people to think that firearms as somehow different than
other items of property, simply because those items are a constraint over governmental power. While
lorries and other motorised vehicles can be deadly, they don t serve as a constraint on tyranny so they
are no concern of the Left. The plain fact is that firearms aren t any different than other types of
property. As it is with the government, the slippery slope will see them try to control other types of
property if it can get people to accept it with firearms.

Essay on Merloni Business Analysis
GENERAL OVERVIEW
Merloni Company was created in 1930 by Aristide Merloni. After the Second World War Merloni
started to expand their range of products, and in the 60s and 70s Merloni was already the biggest
producer of high quality domestic appliances, operating in both, Italy and Europe.
At some point in the 70s, the company became Merloni Group formed by four subsidiaries. Merloni
Progetti for industrial projects; Merloni Igienico Sanitari for bath and heating products; Merloni Casa
for built in kitchen and bath furniture; and Merloni Electtrodomestici for domestic appliances. The
latter is the subsidiary with the biggest percentage of consolidated sales.

This phenomenon is called batching orders and it is one of the causes of the Bullwhip effect.
Another problem identified was that, sales and storage responsibilities were not clearly split. In fact, it
was up to the warehouse manager to deal with the customer once a sale had been made. Thus, instead
of managing the warehouse, they were occupied with client complaints.
In spite of all this model disadvantages, it has some advantages as well. On one hand, the existence of
inventories allows an easier response to fluctuations in demand. Thus, when for some reason, there is
no replenishment the demand is still satisfied. On the other hand, comparing to the Transit Point, this
system has lower transportation costs (Exhibit 6).
COSTS AND BENEFITS OF THE TRANSIT POINT SYSTEM
The transit point system came with the necessity of creating an alternative mean of serving the Milano
customers, while the warehouse was occupied with the Built in appliance exposition. This system was
also an opportunity to check the feasibility of a system with no need of holding inventory.
The guide lines of this approach were very simple. It established that the regional warehouses should
be eliminated in order to reduce inventory to zero. However, that place would be used like an
exchanged spot , which means that the trucks were filled up in the central warehouse and unloaded to
small local trucks that would deliver the

International Student Club Personal Statement Examples
I am interested in applying to be the Vice President of the International Student Club because I want to
become proactive about the role I play in creating a wholesome community for international students
on this campus. Given the shifts occurring on campus with respect to international students in terms of
ISC not being very active this academic year, lapse in communication with exchange students in a
structured manner, and the dissolving of International House and consolidation in South Hall, it has
become difficult for international students to find their footing in the campus and assimilate into
LeTourneau. As a cabinet member of ISC I want to actively enable building this community anew. The
lack of a physical space for international students will play a huge role; in that vacuum, I believe that
intentional organization and synergy of all international student led initiatives like ISC, SINC, Mosaic,
Graduate student cohorts and PA s should work together to generate a community which enables
incoming students and current students to connect ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

different institutions and bureaucracy, I feel that I am in a strong place to host events that not only

Operation Overlord
To this day, the world s largest invasion occurred on June 6, 1944. Operation Overlord, also known as
D day, needed to go well for the Allies because Germany had the French coast under their own power.
The United Kingdom preferred the idea of going to a weaker part of Germany s territory such as Italy.
America thought of a better plan; invade directly where Germany was, France. The three big leaders
of the Allies (Franklin Roosevelt, Winston Churchill, Joseph Stalin), came to an agreement to invade
France directly. They thought that an invasion at France would split the German Army in two parts.
The planning for D day took more than two years. As General Dwight D. Eisenhower said, This
operation is not being planned with any alternatives. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The German leaders had made the most mistakes during the invasion of Normandy. When Germany
was aware that the Allies were invading, the German commanders were absent from their post of duty.
One had taken off the weekend to celebrate his wife s birthday. Adolf Hitler was also asleep when the
invasion started. The German commanders were given the order not to wake him no matter what the
reason was. None of the commanders knew what to do, and did not want to make decisions without
consulting Hitler first. Germany had lost a lot of time waiting for Hitler to wake up. When he finally
woke up and was made aware of what was going on, he thought it was just a diversionary attack. He
told his commanders to be ready for the real one soon. If a country is fighting in a war, they should
have their troops ready at a minutes notice. Germany diverted some of the troops to a different area
because they thought that they were going to invade somewhere else. They assumed that this place
would be closer to England. A place near England was considered because Germany knew that the
Allies would have to transport a large quantity of weapons and troops for the invasion. The Allies
would have to transport the weapons and troops in a small amount of time. The Allies had chosen
Normandy for a reason that will be explained later. These were some of the basic mistakes that

Affluenza Synthesis
A new has entered the American vocabulary: affluenza. Affluenza is defined as the unsustainable
addiction to economic growth. Many scholars, writers, and comedians have made America s affluenza
mentality as a warning to the American people, as well as the bud of jokes. Based on human nature,
and strive for a more advanced life; Americans are truly people who need more growth. Affluenza is a
characteristic that humans have been exemplifying for centuries. Aristotle, an ancient Greek scholar,
states, He is happy who lives in accordance... and is sufficiently equipped with external goods (Source
A). People have always wanted more, which will make their lives happier. Human nature is never
satisfied, people will always strive for the next better thing. Americans do have a mentality related to
affluenza, not because they are greedy, but because human nature is ready for best entity. People are
always trying to have a more advanced life. John Stuart Mill, an eighteenth century British
philosopher, believed that people need better items to achieve happiness. A being of higher faculties
requires more to make him happy... (Source ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Lewis Lapham, author of Money and Class in America: Notes and Observations on Our Civil
Religion, believes Americans are extremely interested in economics than any other group of people. I
think it is fair to say that the current ardor of the American faith in money easily surpasses the degrees
of intensity achieved by other societies in other times and places (Source F). But, Americans are over
obsessed with consumption. People from other nations and times were also interested in economic
growth. Andrew Carnegie, writer of Wealth, states that other societies were comparable to American
society. Little difference between us and (Indians) (Source G). Americans are not over consumed with

Solutions to Communication Problems
Introduction
Organizations and institutions are bound to suffer from severe communication problems from time to
time. It is widely accepted that communication constitutes the lifeblood of any organization and,
therefore, any organization that experiences a breakdown in communication is not likely to live very
long since numerous problems will arise that will ultimately cripple the organization and cause it to
die (Carpentier 64). Therefore, according to Alper, Dean, and Kenneth, it is important that no effort be
spared in resolving organizational conflicts and communication problems as soon as possible (636).
Through proper communication skills, solutions can be found. This ... Show more content on

Therefore, it is important to listen to understand, repeat information for clarification, respect others
and accept that what other persons are saying are true of themselves, and establish a point of
consensus (Martin 353). Persuasion has also been cited as a solution to communication problems.
Conrad defines persuasion as a symbolic process in which the communicator attempts to sway the
audience to change their behaviors or attitudes concerning an issue by communicating a message in an
environment of free choice (107). Conrad further notes that persuasion entails building a connection
with individuals, establishing exactly what they want or need, and finding ways of delivering the said
needs. In this manner, people become persuaded that they have the opportunity to get what is
important to them. Another solution to communication problems frequently cited in literature is the
use of mediators, ombudspersons, arbitrators, or other conflict resolution specialists (Katz, and Linda
394). Rosenberg and Riane suggest that if the problem cannot be settled, then it is important that
conflict resolution specialists be involved (109). They further note that when in the course of
communication, the other part refuses to heed counsel or listen, direct confrontation may worsen the
situation and, therefore, it is important to involve someone with a knowledge of the situation to act

Persuasive Speech About Dental Implants
Dental Implants
Implants (300 Words)
Dental implants are a confusing topic for many people. Whether it is simply not knowing what dental
implants are, or not understanding the process of dental implants, there is much that can be learned.
Did you know that nearly 3 million people have dental implants, and that that number continues to
grow by half a million more, each year? More than 35 million Americans have no teeth whatsoever,
and over 115 million people in the United States are missing at least one teeth. In fact, by age 50, the
average American has lost an average of 12 teeth! What does this all this mean? That there are literally
hundred of millions of Americans, who could benefit from dental implants.
What Are Dental Implants? (300 Words)
Put simply, dental implants are a titanium post, that is surgically inserted into the appropriate problem
area. It is inserted into the jawbone, and allows a dentist to mount replacement teeth, or even a bridge,
into the area. An easy way to think of dental implants, is like a root, that is directly inserted beneath
the gum line. Unlike dentures, dental implants won t come loose. Another positive aspect of dental
implants, is that they do not need to be anchored to other teeth. Some dental procedures, like bridges,
do include the process of being anchored to other teeth.
How Do Dental Implants Work? (300 Words)
Dental implants are a fairly straightforward process, and we will explain that process below, but do
not hesitate to reach out for a free consultation with a doctor at our practice. Our doctors love what
they do, and are happy to answer any and all questions which you may have, about the process of

Endosteal Implants (300 Words)
There are two types of implants which the ADA (American Dental Association) deems to be safe. The
first of these, are endosteal implants. Endosteal implants are directly inserted into the jawbone,
making them one of the most direct types of implants. From here, a second surgery connects a post to
the implant. Lastly, an artificial tooth (or multiple teeth)

can t hardly remember her. And I bet you don t remember your mama much either. So we re almost

him a family member. The quote makes the image of her and Winn Dixie s lives very lonely and sad.
This makes me think she has no one to talk to and that her father is just there. Why doesn t she count
her father as family? The image makes it look like her father is not emotionally connected to her and
she need more love in her life. The reason why I can connect and relate to the book is because I only
have a mother. I grew up in a single parent household. My father pasted away when I was Twelve
years old. I didn t even know my father that well even in those Twelve years. I can relate with Opal
not being able to recall anything about a parent. My mother doesn t talk about my father so it is hard
to know things and to know what and how she is thinking. Opal can relate to this because her father
doesn t talk much about her mother either. Whenever my mother does say something I will keep it in
my memories forever because it s the only things I have to hold on to about my father. Opal did the
same thing when her father told her ten things about her mother. Opal and I

Risk And Significance Of Fund Management Fees
Two funds were chosen in order to determine the performance of each investment by observing the
risk and significance of fund management fees. In order to achieve the highest level of accuracy
possible, the two funds were chosen in the same sector of the market and of equal size and investment
strategy. One fund chosen was an open ended actively managed mutual fund, and the other a close
ended passively managed exchange traded fund.
The mutual fund selected was Rydex Consumer Products C (RYCPX). According to the Morningstar

This assumption is held true in regards to RYCPX and XLP. XLP had three year HPR of 0.73 and a
five year HPR of 1.01 compared to RYCPX s returns of 0.64 and 0.82. The difference is largely due to
the tax efficiency factor etf s have compared to mutual funds. Both funds are subject to the same
capital gains and dividend income tax treatment, however etf s are structured in a way that it realizes a
much smaller amount of capital gains. Exchange traded funds do not participate in the daily selling of
securities that mutual funds do. As a result, etf s incur a small or no capital gains yield which leads to
a little or no capital gains tax.
The standard deviation and Sharpe ratio are used to assess the risk each investment holds relative to
the returns it expects to yield. RYCPX generated a standard deviation of 0.13 for a three year period
and a standard deviation of .11 for a five year period. It also expected annual returns to be .19 for a
three year period and .16 for a five year period. Therefore, future funds can be expected to annually
gain between .06 and .32 for a three year period and .05 and .27 for a five year period. XLP generated
a standard deviation of .08 for a three year period and .1 for a five year period. It also expected annual
returns to be .21 for a three year period and .16 for a five year period.

Blown Glass
What is abstract blown glass art? This seems like such a simple question, but it really is not simple to
answer. Blown glass basically means that the glass was crafted into a specific form by a glassblower.
Abstract art is said to have come from many different movements, including expressionism. This type
of art can come in many different forms, including computer generation art, painting, sculpting, and
glass blowing. Abstract art basically means that the end result does not have a face, so it is somewhat
unrecognizable.
Abstract blown glass is typically derived from scientific glassblowing. Usually, scientific glassblowers
will make lab items, such as beakers and tubes, but sometimes, you will find a rare scientific

The Great Ideas Of Thomas Hobbes Leviathan, And Adam...
hile there are many big ideas in Thomas Hobbes Leviathan, and Adam Smith s The Wealth of Nations,
the most important ideas deal with human nature and social order. In this paper, I will argue Hobbes
lack of optimism, and Smith s lack of pessimism in their theories of human nature, and will also
discuss how our idea of social order changes once these aspects are taken into consideration. Hobbes
theory of human nature begins with him stating that all men are created equal. With all men being
created equal, this means that everyone is equally capable of killing each other, because while, there
may be found one man sometimes manifestly stronger in body, the weaker may be compensated for by
his quicker mind. This equality of ability produces equality of hope for the attaining of our goals, and
that when two or more men desire the same thing which they cannot both enjoy, they become enemies
and attempt to destroy each other. Hobbes called this time when men oppose each other war, and said
that there were three basic causes for war: competition, distrust, and glory. Hobbes also maintains the
belief that in this state of nature, humans have a natural tendency to obtain as much power as they can,
and that the only way they will ever be satisfied with their power is by acquiring more power, going so
far as to harm or kill others in order attain what they desire. Thus, the state of nature is a war of every
man against every man, where humans live in perpetual fear

Manufacturing Processes Research Report
Introduction
In 2011 the US federal government spent approximately 6 billion dollars on research and development
in the field of Engineering (National Science Foundation, 2013). Through these technical revolutions
we are entering into an age of advanced manufacturing, where down times and complete turnaround
times have been shorted exponentially. One advancement, Hydro forming, has changed the way many
products are produced and manufactured in the past 3 decades. It is a die forming operation, used
primarily for creating complex parts without the expensive cost of tooling, and die making. Tubular

Advantages/ Disadvantages of Tubular Hydroforming
The advantages of hydroforming highly out way other forms of manufacturing processes across the
board. One of the largest factors that puts hydroforming ahead of the other manufacturing processes is
sheer cost of tooling.
Due to the fact that you only need the negative mold tool of the product that you are making, your cost
drops significantly. Furthermore unlike conventional tooling processes because the manufacturing
requires no cutting or further machining after the part have been made. You can reduce the amount of
machinery that you need to correct any imperfections.
Also when hydroforming products you are able to deliver an equal amount pressure over the surface
that is required giving a uniform thickness to the part you are making. That reduces costs of material
as well as the ability to guarantee that the part you are making is to the desired thickness, keeping
waste down and rejected parts down to a minimum.
When creating a bike frame, it helps the strength to make all the structural areas with the most surface
area possible. As well, materials need to be reduced to cut down cost, which is mitigated when hydro
forming because it is a highly calculated operation where the materials are specifically chosen to
maximize the potential. Hydroforming uses the same material and can also do high detail items within
the product

My Environmental Ethic By Theodore Roosevelt

living on earth. People in the world today don t really take into effect the way they hurt the
environment. People don t care where they throw their garbage or burn chemicals that are unhealthy,

and consumption, which is that there is too many people don t have enough food to survive plus, the
more people there are the more they destroy forests and swamps to grow more food. From destroying
the ecosystem which ultimately hurts the earth. Climate change is another big factor that destroys the

Analysis Of Elizabeth Browning s Sonnets
Elizabeth Browning s Sonnets from the Portuguese was published during the Victorian Era, which was
an intense time where poetry was governed by male poets and writers. Women were to remain silent in
poetry, pursue their education, and be controlled by the desires of their father or other male
authoritative figure. The sonnets, at this time, were a form often used for poetry where the men would
address a maiden as an object and subject of love. Elizabeth s sonnets was a representation of her
response to the society s tradition, which brought about a challenge to modern concepts of gender
equality. They not only relate a courtship between a man and a woman, but also a transformation of a
woman to a poet. This shows the proto feminist side of the speaker, but she does not solely focus on
this matter throughout the sonnet, instead she focuses solely on the equality that men and women
achieve through love. In Sonnets from the Portuguese, the speaker frees herself from being both the
object and subject of love and poetic thought by addressing a man as an object and controlling her
own voice and desires to obtain equality. During the Victorian Era, women were controlled by their
father or other authoritative figure and what he desired. Addressing the Sonnets from the Portuguese,
the speaker reflects on her past life, stating, The sweet, sad years, the melancholy years, / Those of my
own life (7 8). This is a reference to the speaker s difficult early life, which was caused from

his reason and passion. Laertes receives news regarding his father, Polonius s murder and assumes that
King Claudius is responsible. Laertes s speculation causes him to threaten Claudius, Only I ll be
revenged most thoroughly for my father (4.5.128 134). In contrast to Laertes s judgment, Prince
Hamlet is revealed to have killed Polonius out of the belief that Polonius was Claudius. Through the
progression of this plot, Laertes is shown as an individual who acts on passion and disregards reason
to investigate the truth of Polonius s murder. To contrast, Fortinbras is communicated as an individual
who veils his passion with the voice of reason. After King Hamlet killed Prince Fortinbras s father,

protesters marched on the streets to commemorate the first death anniversary of Michael Brown. The
demonstrators are protesting the fatal shooting of unarmed black men by white police officers,
according to The Globe and Mail. The state of emergency, which was declared by St. Louis County
Executive Steve Stenger, gave county Police Chief Jon Belmar authority over police activities in the
Ferguson area, The Denver Post reports. Police arrested 57 individuals for breaking through the
barricades put up in front of a St. Louis federal court. On Tuesday night, 22 protesters ... Show more

shooting incident. Authorities believe six individuals participated in the drive by shooting, including
18 year old Tyrone Harris. However, Harris father denied the accusations against his son. He said the
younger Harris was just running for his life when gunfire pierced the protests. Hershel Myers Jr., a 46

Ferguson police officer Darren Wilson shot unarmed black teenager Brown. Based on a probe by the

Subsequent police shootings of unarmed black locals in New York, Baltimore, Cincinnati, and Los

The Importance Of Hunger In Night By Elie Wiesel
Hunger can cause the human body to make conclusions that they would not have on a full stomach. In
Night by Elie Wiesel, he proves the point numerous times. Elie among others loses sight of his ethics
due to human nature, needing food. During the Holocaust, the prisoners in concentration camps would
risk their lives for an extra crust of bread or ration of soup. The captives of the Holocaust had to
acclimate to their surroundings and do anything they could for food. The need for energy can cause a
human to make ignorant decisions, thus allowing for a loss of their personal values. Scientifically, you
should not make long term decisions while hungry. Students at the University of Gothenburg in
Sweden studied if it is smart to make a decision when you are ravenous. A hormone that is made in the
gastrointestinal tract, called ghrelin enhanced their study. Ghrelin is released when your body is
searching for food as energy. When you are no longer hungry, the manufacturing of ghrelin halts.
Ghrelin is also associated with drug and alcohol intake. The researchers at the University of
Gothenburg examined rats. Yes, rats are not humans, but they can display human like behaviors. When
an extra amount of ghrelin was inserted into the rat, they would go against their regular impulses to
gain a quick amount of sugar instead of waiting a little bit longer for a larger, more substantial prize. A
very much known phrase is you should never go food shopping while you are hungry. We all have

The Importance Of The Star Spangled Banner
Title
The ground is not constant in every part of the world. Grass, sand, dirt, rocks, and everything in
between is always changing underneath our feet. The sky is always shifting when new shapes and
colors pass above our heads as we carry out our lives. It is baffling to think that people surrounded in a
world of change believe it is possible to stick to one way of living. The belief in following a tradition
can come from multiple ideals. The United States has an abundance of these traditions, and sometimes
it is hard to notice when you are within one. The Star Spangled Banner is a prime example of a long
standing tradition in the United States, where it is usually played before national sporting events.
Americans believe that the national anthem represents the greatness of America, and some believe that
it honors our fallen soldiers and military. It is traditional to stand with our hands on our hearts, facing
the flag while the anthem plays. The recent phenomenon of NFL players kneeling at the national
anthem is a call to attention for the victims affected by racial inequality and police brutality within our
country. Interestingly, NFL players weren t required to be on the field during the anthem until 2009.
Regardless, this show of taking a knee seems to many as a menace to their tradition. Some people
were thoroughly opposed to these protests, including our own country s leader. The president of the
United States calling these gestures a total disrespect of our

The Most Important Importance Of Plants In Our Society
The importance of plants is often overlooked by the general public. They don t realize when they eat,
wear, or build something that none of it would be possible without plants. Complex life itself only
exists thanks to the evolution of plants. Throughout this essay, I hope to highlight some of the most
important aspects of plants including their ecological roles, historical roles, source of food, medicinal
uses, spices, erosion control, soil contribution, and many others. The list of plant importance could go
on and on forever, but these seem to play the most pertinent role in our society. Plants provide many
products that benefit other organisms and their environments. Perhaps one of the most important roles
of the plant is photosynthesis. Photosynthesis is the process by which light energy is converted into a
usable form. Of this energy obtained by the plant, ten percent is passed on through each level of the
trophic chain, and the rest is given off as heat. This theory is known as the 10% Law. The process of
photosynthesis also consumes carbon dioxide, and releases oxygen as a byproduct. This is arguably
one of the most important functions of plants, because oxygen is such a vital ingredient to life on
Earth. With their oxygen producing capabilities, plants have been coined as, The Lungs of the Earth .
Another benefit that plants provide to their ecosystems that has only been discovered since an increase
in human pollution is their detoxification potential. Many plants

Narrative Essay On Missions Trip
Over the summer I went to Nashville, Tennessee for a missions trip with my youth group. During the
trip, I experienced many awkward and embarrassing situations that I wish I didn t have to live
through. Even though there were powerful worship services, memories made, and friendships formed,
the week was pretty hectic. There were three particular incidents that really stick out when I think of
Missions Trip 2016. These incidents include an atrocious crew and crew leader, a flirtatious man, and
a scary church where we stayed. The first incident happened upon being assigned to an awful crew.
The crew leader, Pete, was the worst of them all. He was immature and a total stick in the mud. For
example, he never showed up to help us on the nights our crew had to clean up after dinner or when ...

between air conditioning and charging our electronics! In Tennessee, air conditioning is the obvious
choice. All the youth groups were separated into different rooms, when usually each youth group has

During the process of envisioning and designing a film, the director, production designer, and art
director (in collaboration with the cinematographer) are concerned with several major spatial and
temporal elements. These design elements punctuate and underscore the movement of figures within
the frame, including the following: setting, lighting, costuming, makeup, and hairstyles. Choose a

All the interiors done on stage were taken from the locations and researched in the neighborhoods
with the help of the residents which also gave the film the authenticity of being in the hood . She
became sort of an urban anthropologist, because everything the viewer sees is as it really is. The
colors and textures used, change throughout the scene, but everything they used was taken directly
from the neighborhood that you find yourself in throughout the clip.
Cinematographers and art directors play a very important and creative role in film production. They
work closely with the director and give a film its unique visual look and identity. The art director,
David Lazan and cinematographer, Mauro Fiore, shot the film almost entirely in sequence, following
the clock from the crack of dawn to a very dark night of reckoning. Compressing intense action and
emotion into a brief time frame became one of their key challenges. They had to make sure the film
felt like it was one single day unfolding which became the single biggest challenge during the
production.
Explain how the artists utilize lighting in the scene. How does the lighting affect our emotional
understanding of certain characters? What sort of mood does the lighting evoke? How does lighting
impact the overall story the filmmaker is attempting to tell? Describe the setting, including the time
period, location, and culture in which the film takes place.

Letter From Birmingham Jail
In Letter from Birmingham Jail, Martin Luther King, Jr. refutes the condemnatory claims made by
eight white Alabama clergymen. By appealing to ethos, logos, and pathos King argues that he is not an
outsider and that the experience of African Americans in segregated Birmingham warrants well
intentioned demonstration and civil disobedience. In doing so, he calls attention to the clergymen s
hypocrisy and firmly garners their respect and understanding. Martin Luther King gains the clergymen
s trust and belief by establishing his moral character through ethos. King first accomplishes this by
employing a tone of respect. He addresses the clergymen in the beginning paragraph as men of
genuine good will whose criticisms are sincerely set forth (6 7). This makes the clergymen feel that
their integrity and their concerns are heavily valued. When King later denounces their beliefs and
actions, they are more likely to accept it as King s effort to achieve understanding between the two
groups rather than an attack on their personal characteristics. A reverent tone is further built with King
s choice to refer to the clergymen as sirs (121), my Christian and Jewish brothers (175), and other
honorifics throughout the letter. Even as his frustration escalates, using these titles compel the white
clergymen to continue reading the arguments, believing the writer because the writer believes in their
morality. Another major ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

The Types Of Parliamentary Democracies
The two types of Parliamentary democracies are direct democracy, also known as consociational or
consensus democracy, and representative democracy, otherwise called majoritarian democracy
(Dickovick 118 120). A consensus democracy is founded on the principle that the citizens govern
directly and that power is distributed between the executive and legislative branches to prevent and
limit one branch from gaining too much power. An example of a consensus democracy is Switzerland,
as it promotes consensus of the people, and it exhibits the factors necessary for a direct democracy.
Alternatively, a majoritarian democracy is based on the principle of majority rules, and that power is
concentrated and centralized. The United Kingdom is an example of a majoritarian democracy
because it follows the majority rule principle and possesses all the qualities of a representative
democracy. While consensus democracy and majoritarian democracies are both forms of democracy,
the contrasting approaches to democratic rule they engage in foremost pertaining to the ideas of
distribution of political power, causes the two types of democracy to be diametrically opposite. A
consociational or consensus democracy is commonly used in heterogeneous or plural societies, as a
majority rule democracy would be unpredictable and hazardous in such a society. consensus
democracy has its virtues in the front end of democracy. It emphasizes the belief of the consensus of

The Structure Of Polypyrrole
The structure of polypyrrole consists of long conjugated polymer backbone as shown in Fig. 1.2b. The
polymer has resonance structures that resemble aromatic or quinoid forms. In this neutral state the
polymer is not conducting and it conducts only when it is oxidised. Polypyrrole is an insulator but its
oxidized derivatives are good conductors. The Conductivity ranges from 2 to 100 S/cm. The charge
associated with the oxidised state is typically delocalised over several units and can form a radical
cation (polaron) or a dication (bipolaron).

When the polymer is doped partially, islands of conducting material are developed, which are oxidized
sites on the polymer chain. A small percentage of the sites form a network, yielding a small , finite DC
conductivity. Hopping of charge carriers between favourable sites accounts for AC conductivity. Thus
the conductivity is a combination of frequency dependent AC conductivity and DC conductivity. At
higher level of doping, an increase in the network density through the polymer chain results in
elimination of number of isolated sites which give rise to AC conductivity. So at the limit of very high
doping the number of isolated sites is less and the DC conductivity dominates the total conductivity.

La Manche Power And Colonialism
La Malinche, Power and Colonialism
The Mexican Mother, known as Malinche was a creator. Through her words, she created a new land
free from the Aztecs and human sacrifice. Malinche s ability to translate the native languages of
Mexico to the Spanish invaders gave Malinche the power to stop the much unnecessary bloodshed.
Malinche was a slave, she had no power other than her ability to translate for the Spaniards.Yet, her
name still holds controversy in the Mexican community. La Malinche is acclaimed to be the harlot of
Conquistador Hernan Cortez, her name is a curse among her people. Malinche is blamed for the
suffering of the natives and is believed to be a complacent whore.
The history of Malinche was obscured by fiction and then sold to the Native population of Mexico.
The Spanish wanted the natives to believe that Malinche was the antagonist so they could deflect the
blame from themselves. This increased tensions in the native communities and helped the Spanish
achieve greater success during the colonization of Mexico. It is Ironic that the Mexican people curse
Malinche because they are feeding into the very propaganda that belittles their original native
ancestry. The Spanish believed that the natives were stupid, their traditions were savage and held no
place in their new world. The Spanish planted these seeds of guilt in regards to Malinche, attempting
to falsify history through literature and culture. Instead of embracing Malinches contributions, her
children, the Mexicans curse her name and defy their native origins. The Spanish then achieve the
satisfaction of taking all the credibility for her actions against the Aztecs. By feeding the natives false
information about their Mother, the Spanish are able to control the perception of the uneducated.
These fictions are apparent in the articles that we have read. The seeds of hatred that the Spanish have
sown, appear in the form of prejudice, racism, and sexism.
. By comparing the native mother to a harlot, the Spaniards successfully planted the seeds of shame
into every Mexican. The very same seeds Octavio Paz claims to have been planted by La Malinche
herself. These historical fallacies have been embedded into Spanish literature to promote the

Nuclear Weapon Production Of Nuclear Weapons Essay
Nuclear Weapon Production Apocalypse

Nuclear Weapon Production Apocalypse
If the production of nuclear weaponry is not diminished, it will cause the end of everything. With the
production of nuclear weapons increasing, it will only be a matter of time until a nuclear war breaks
out. When a nuclear weapon is used, it has three killing modes. The first would be the impact, when
the bomb first hits. The second would be the shockwave that extends outward a good deal. Thirdly, the
radiation effect would kill several more after that.
How does a nuclear weapon work you might ask? Well there are two ways a nuclear weapon can
work. One is nuclear fission and the other is nuclear fusion. In nuclear fission, the nucleus of an atom
is split in two by a neutron. To do this, isotopes will need to be present such as uranium (uranium 235,
uranium 233) or plutonium (plutonium 239) (Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament). An isotope is the
same element but with different numbers. Nuclear fusion is kind of how the sun works. According to
Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament, two small atoms are fused together to create one large atoms.
This typically requires hydrogen or hydrogen isotopes (deuterium, tritium), to form a larger one
(helium isotopes) (Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament).

Analysis Of Christopher Columbus And Charles Lindbergh
Throughout the school year of 2015 2016 at the Founders Academy, I have wrote numerous essays,
with generally positive results. Several of the essays exceeded expectations, while others reached
expectations to a modest extent, but all of the essays were supported by the writing skills that I had
learned that year, regardless of my strengths or weaknesses with these skills. These techniques vary
extensively, from comparing and contrasting ideas in a text to editing and revising essays for quality
results, which is proven in my writing portfolio.
The first skill of note centers around the proofreading of essays, where an essay receives revisions,
from the reconstruction of paragraphs to the replacement of disinteresting words with intriguing, more
complicated vocabulary. My proof of mastery in this skill is in my essay on Christopher Columbus
and Charles Lindbergh, in addition to my reflection on a project that I had worked on in my
technology class, where I placed complex vocabulary into the essays with my portfolio draft. My
strengths in the skill were that I paid close attention to detail, and added in excessively complex words
to entice the reader. My major flaw, however, is that the process of replacing words is time consuming,
which gives me less time to focus on other issues in my essays, which were often longer than they
needed to be. Fortunately, the constant expansion of essays doubles as a skill, especially when adding
further information to short essays.

Death Of A Salesman And The American Dream
The United States in the mid twentieth century was a time of change. In the 1960 s the civil rights and
women s rights were in their embryonic stages. All of these ideas coming together created the illusion
of The American Dream. Back then; the American dream was equated with freedom and material
prosperity, two concepts that ring true today. The definition of the American dream changes as society
in the United States changes, and the connotation and reality of the American Dream is disheartening.
Two literary compositions give a realistic outlook on what the American Dream really is. In Death of a
Salesman and The American Dream, Arthur Miller and Edward Albee masterfully relay the true nature
and ideologies of The American Dream. In theory, the American Dream is the idea that every person
residing in the United States of America should live a richer and fuller life, regardless of the class one
is born in. It is not a dream about cars, high wages, and a picket fence. The idea, for it to work, is
supposed to be that every man and woman in this beautiful country has the ability to gain the highest
class in their ability regardless of their previous background. The ability to achieve such high success
is based on academic success and hard work. In current times, it seems the American Dream has
become a pursuit of material objects. Citizens of the United States work countless hours to be able to
afford bigger cars, better homes, and the newest technologies. On the surface,

have evolved over millions of years. In this jigsaw framework, the loss of any one individual species
has a significant impact on the remaining species and the ecosystem, thereby affecting its biodiversity.
Per Merriam Webster s Dictionary, biodiversity is the whole collection of living organisms, consisting
of different species of plants and animals, that cohabitate in an ecosystem. This term collectively
describes approximately all 8.7 million unique species, including every class of bacteria, virus, plant,
fungi, and animal, that coexist on earth. As such, biodiversity and the conservation of biodiversity is
extremely important to the human population and the health of all ecosystems. For instance,
biodiversity provides food and materials needed to strengthen our economy. The selling of various
plants and animals for consumption, entertainment/ recreation, and building purposes keeps countless
restaurants and supermarkets in business today. Also, through the study of a vast array of plants and
herbs, scientists have discovered cures to disease and have lengthened the average human lifespan. By
doing so, society has increased its research efforts in medical herbs and in studying genomic
sequences of various endangered species in hopes to uncover new treatments and even piece together
mysteries of the past, for instance, using molasses encased mosquitos to examine the spread

A Interview With My Older Sister And Her Husband, Jodie...
Background
For this interview I spoke with my older sister and her husband, Jodie and Shaun Duke. Jodie is thirty
five and Shaun is thirty eight years old. They met while helping with a youth pioneer trek. They have
been married for almost fourteen years and have four children. The model of their marriage is
egalitarian. Both work fulltime and help with raising children and taking care of the home. I chose to
talk with them because I selfishly wanted an excuse to go to lunch with them.
Challenges
Before marriage some of the red flags that Jodie and Shaun said to look for are being too dependent on
a relationship. Each person really needs to be confident in who they are before they enter the
relationship. Another red flag would be domineering personalities. It may appear that they always
want to save you, but in always stepping in, it starts to belittle the other person s confidence in their
own abilities. When asked what some of the challenges were when they first got married, they
mentioned one thing that was very difficult for them was that they did not start out in their own place.
For the first year of their marriage they lived in the basement of Jodie s parents. They felt a lot of their
transition in their marriage didn t occur until they moved out. Another challenge they talked about was
that before you are married you think that you know a person so well, but through marriage you find
that there were a lot of things you didn t know. Things about a

This paper will examine the problem of Immigration and Immigration Law. I will first discuss what
Immigration Law is and how it works, then I will define the number one problem of immigration laws,
illegal immigration and why it s so important to follow procedures. It will also address the
consequences after violating the laws. Next the paper discusses three policy solutions to the problems
of illegal immigration: Legalization of Immigrants, Strengthen Border Security, and Immigration
Amnesty. The paper will first explain each policy solution. Then it will analyze the pros and cons, and
potential strengths and weakness of each solution. Last this paper will offer some personal
observations on the problem of immigration.
Three government policy solutions to the problem of illegal immigration include the Legalization of
Illegal Immigrants, the Secure Fence Act of 2006, and Amnesty. If these three government policies
were truly implemented it will help to solve and cut back in illegal immigration activity in the United
States.
Section II
Immigration law refers to the rules established by the federal government for determining who is
allowed to enter the country, and for how long. It also governs the naturalization process for those who
desire to become United States citizens. Finally, when foreign nationals enter without permission,

  • 2. Intergalactic Background Checks Why we will never accept Intergalactic Background Checks It never fails, whenever there is a serious crisis involving guns, the Socialist Left wastes no time in trotting out their favourite hobby horse of Background Checks Intergalactic and otherwise. So why do they obsess over this issue that won t solve the problem anyway? Why is this so important to them and a danger to our civil rights? This will be an examination of the underlying elements of this issue and why gun owners will never accept government control over their private property. The debate over the 1st and 2nd amendments and the rest of the Constitution is really about who maintains the constraints on the government. If the people hold these controls, the government ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The best they can offer is the much abused commerce clause and even that falls short given that refers to commerce between the states, not between neighbours and friends. This is a very important, but rarely discussed issue that goes to the central tenets of liberty. Our civil rights are based upon the control of private property. In fact one could argue that it s not even private property if it s under government edict. While some would like to cite the adage that possession is nine tenths of the law the reality is that ownership is vested in the entity that controls an item s storage, use and transference. If the government controls those parameters it is the true owner of that property with the people being it s temporary possessors. There are those desirous of control who want people to think that firearms as somehow different than other items of property, simply because those items are a constraint over governmental power. While lorries and other motorised vehicles can be deadly, they don t serve as a constraint on tyranny so they are no concern of the Left. The plain fact is that firearms aren t any different than other types of property. This phenomenon is called batching orders and it is one of the causes of the Bullwhip effect. Another problem identified was that, sales and storage responsibilities were not clearly split. In fact, it was up to the warehouse manager to deal with the customer once a sale had been made. Thus, instead of managing the warehouse, they were occupied with client complaints. In spite of all this model disadvantages, it has some advantages as well. On one hand, the existence of inventories allows an easier response to fluctuations in demand. Thus, when for some reason, there is no replenishment the demand is still satisfied. On the other hand, comparing to the Transit Point, this system has lower transportation costs (Exhibit 6). COSTS AND BENEFITS OF THE TRANSIT POINT SYSTEM The transit point system came with the necessity of creating an alternative mean of serving the Milano customers, while the warehouse was occupied with the Built in appliance exposition. This system was also an opportunity to check the feasibility of a system with no need of holding inventory. The guide lines of this approach were very simple. It established that the regional warehouses should be eliminated in order to reduce inventory to zero. Operation Overlord, also known as D day, needed to go well for the Allies because Germany had the French coast under their own power. The United Kingdom preferred the idea of going to a weaker part of Germany s territory such as Italy. America thought of a better plan; invade directly where Germany was, France. The three big leaders of the Allies (Franklin Roosevelt, Winston Churchill, Joseph Stalin), came to an agreement to invade France directly. Persuasion has also been cited as a solution to communication problems. Conrad defines persuasion as a symbolic process in which the communicator attempts to sway the audience to change their behaviors or attitudes concerning an issue by communicating a message in an environment of free choice (107). Conrad further notes that persuasion entails building a connection with individuals, establishing exactly what they want or need, and finding ways of delivering the said needs. In this manner, people become persuaded that they have the opportunity to get what is important to them. Another solution to communication problems frequently cited in literature is the use of mediators, ombudspersons, arbitrators, or other conflict resolution specialists (Katz, and Linda 394). Rosenberg and Riane suggest that if the problem cannot be settled, then it is important that conflict resolution specialists be involved (109). • 12. The Great Ideas Of Thomas Hobbes Leviathan, And Adam... hile there are many big ideas in Thomas Hobbes Leviathan, and Adam Smith s The Wealth of Nations, the most important ideas deal with human nature and social order. In this paper, I will argue Hobbes lack of optimism, and Smith s lack of pessimism in their theories of human nature, and will also discuss how our idea of social order changes once these aspects are taken into consideration. Hobbes theory of human nature begins with him stating that all men are created equal. With all men being created equal, this means that everyone is equally capable of killing each other, because while, there may be found one man sometimes manifestly stronger in body, the weaker may be compensated for by his quicker mind. This equality of ability produces equality of hope for the attaining of our goals, and that when two or more men desire the same thing which they cannot both enjoy, they become enemies and attempt to destroy each other. Hobbes called this time when men oppose each other war, and said that there were three basic causes for war: competition, distrust, and glory. Hobbes also maintains the belief that in this state of nature, humans have a natural tendency to obtain as much power as they can, and that the only way they will ever be satisfied with their power is by acquiring more power, going so far as to harm or kill others in order attain what they desire. Thus, the state of nature is a war of every man against every man, where humans live in perpetual fear ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Advantages/ Disadvantages of Tubular Hydroforming The advantages of hydroforming highly out way other forms of manufacturing processes across the board. One of the largest factors that puts hydroforming ahead of the other manufacturing processes is sheer cost of tooling. Due to the fact that you only need the negative mold tool of the product that you are making, your cost drops significantly. Furthermore unlike conventional tooling processes because the manufacturing requires no cutting or further machining after the part have been made. You can reduce the amount of machinery that you need to correct any imperfections. Also when hydroforming products you are able to deliver an equal amount pressure over the surface that is required giving a uniform thickness to the part you are making. That reduces costs of material as well as the ability to guarantee that the part you are making is to the desired thickness, keeping waste down and rejected parts down to a minimum. When creating a bike frame, it helps the strength to make all the structural areas with the most surface area possible. As well, materials need to be reduced to cut down cost, which is mitigated when hydro forming because it is a highly calculated operation where the materials are specifically chosen to maximize the potential. • 15. Analysis Of Elizabeth Browning s Sonnets Elizabeth Browning s Sonnets from the Portuguese was published during the Victorian Era, which was an intense time where poetry was governed by male poets and writers. Women were to remain silent in poetry, pursue their education, and be controlled by the desires of their father or other male authoritative figure. The sonnets, at this time, were a form often used for poetry where the men would address a maiden as an object and subject of love. Elizabeth s sonnets was a representation of her response to the society s tradition, which brought about a challenge to modern concepts of gender equality. They not only relate a courtship between a man and a woman, but also a transformation of a woman to a poet. This shows the proto feminist side of the speaker, but she does not solely focus on this matter throughout the sonnet, instead she focuses solely on the equality that men and women achieve through love. In Sonnets from the Portuguese, the speaker frees herself from being both the object and subject of love and poetic thought by addressing a man as an object and controlling her own voice and desires to obtain equality. During the Victorian Era, women were controlled by their father or other authoritative figure and what he desired. In Night by Elie Wiesel, he proves the point numerous times. Elie among others loses sight of his ethics due to human nature, needing food. During the Holocaust, the prisoners in concentration camps would risk their lives for an extra crust of bread or ration of soup. The captives of the Holocaust had to acclimate to their surroundings and do anything they could for food. The need for energy can cause a human to make ignorant decisions, thus allowing for a loss of their personal values. Scientifically, you should not make long term decisions while hungry. Students at the University of Gothenburg in Sweden studied if it is smart to make a decision when you are ravenous. Grass, sand, dirt, rocks, and everything in between is always changing underneath our feet. The sky is always shifting when new shapes and colors pass above our heads as we carry out our lives. It is baffling to think that people surrounded in a world of change believe it is possible to stick to one way of living. The belief in following a tradition can come from multiple ideals. The United States has an abundance of these traditions, and sometimes it is hard to notice when you are within one. The Star Spangled Banner is a prime example of a long standing tradition in the United States, where it is usually played before national sporting events. Americans believe that the national anthem represents the greatness of America, and some believe that it honors our fallen soldiers and military. It is traditional to stand with our hands on our hearts, facing the flag while the anthem plays. The recent phenomenon of NFL players kneeling at the national anthem is a call to attention for the victims affected by racial inequality and police brutality within our country. Interestingly, NFL players weren t required to be on the field during the anthem until 2009. Regardless, this show of taking a knee seems to many as a menace to their tradition. • 23. The Most Important Importance Of Plants In Our Society The importance of plants is often overlooked by the general public. They don t realize when they eat, wear, or build something that none of it would be possible without plants. Complex life itself only exists thanks to the evolution of plants. Throughout this essay, I hope to highlight some of the most important aspects of plants including their ecological roles, historical roles, source of food, medicinal uses, spices, erosion control, soil contribution, and many others. The list of plant importance could go on and on forever, but these seem to play the most pertinent role in our society. Plants provide many products that benefit other organisms and their environments. Perhaps one of the most important roles of the plant is photosynthesis. Photosynthesis is the process by which light energy is converted into a usable form. Of this energy obtained by the plant, ten percent is passed on through each level of the trophic chain, and the rest is given off as heat. This theory is known as the 10% Law. The process of photosynthesis also consumes carbon dioxide, and releases oxygen as a byproduct. This is arguably one of the most important functions of plants, because oxygen is such a vital ingredient to life on Earth. With their oxygen producing capabilities, plants have been coined as, The Lungs of the Earth . Another benefit that plants provide to their ecosystems that has only been discovered since an increase in human pollution is their detoxification potential. Many plants ... During the trip, I experienced many awkward and embarrassing situations that I wish I didn t have to live through. Even though there were powerful worship services, memories made, and friendships formed, the week was pretty hectic. There were three particular incidents that really stick out when I think of Missions Trip 2016. These incidents include an atrocious crew and crew leader, a flirtatious man, and a scary church where we stayed. The first incident happened upon being assigned to an awful crew. I m already an anxious mess, so when I had to take the kids into his classroom the rest of the week it was extremely nerve wracking. The last incident was when we got to the place we were staying. The church where we were housed was so old, the missions trip leaders had to have us choose between air conditioning and charging our electronics! In Tennessee, air conditioning is the obvious choice. All the youth groups were separated into different rooms, when usually each youth group has their own rooms. I didn t enjoy that. By appealing to ethos, logos, and pathos King argues that he is not an outsider and that the experience of African Americans in segregated Birmingham warrants well intentioned demonstration and civil disobedience. In doing so, he calls attention to the clergymen s hypocrisy and firmly garners their respect and understanding. Martin Luther King gains the clergymen s trust and belief by establishing his moral character through ethos. King first accomplishes this by employing a tone of respect. He addresses the clergymen in the beginning paragraph as men of genuine good will whose criticisms are sincerely set forth (6 7). This makes the clergymen feel that their integrity and their concerns are heavily valued. When King later denounces their beliefs and actions, they are more likely to accept it as King s effort to achieve understanding between the two groups rather than an attack on their personal characteristics. A reverent tone is further built with King s choice to refer to the clergymen as sirs (121), my Christian and Jewish brothers (175), and other honorifics throughout the letter. The Types Of Parliamentary Democracies The two types of Parliamentary democracies are direct democracy, also known as consociational or consensus democracy, and representative democracy, otherwise called majoritarian democracy (Dickovick 118 120). Alternatively, a majoritarian democracy is based on the principle of majority rules, and that power is concentrated and centralized. These techniques vary extensively, from comparing and contrasting ideas in a text to editing and revising essays for quality results, which is proven in my writing portfolio. The first skill of note centers around the proofreading of essays, where an essay receives revisions, from the reconstruction of paragraphs to the replacement of disinteresting words with intriguing, more complicated vocabulary. My proof of mastery in this skill is in my essay on Christopher Columbus and Charles Lindbergh, in addition to my reflection on a project that I had worked on in my technology class, where I placed complex vocabulary into the essays with my portfolio draft.
