Socrates and His Views of Justice In Plato s The Republic, there are several accounts of justice that
are presented throughout the dialogue, especially in Book I. One of these accounts is presented by
Socrates, in which he believes that justice is not harming anyone under any circumstances. Socrates
first presents this argument when he questions if it is just to treat anyone badly (335b). Polemarchus,
based on his account of justice in which justice is treating friends well and harming enemies (332d)
believes that it is okay to hurt people (335b). Socrates then brings up examples of what happens when
a horse, dog, and person are treated poorly (335b c). In all these cases, Socrates points out that it
worsens them. Afterwards, when taking into account that justice is a human excellence, (335c)
Socrates says that members of the human race who are treated badly must necessarily become more
unjust. Therefore, based on that reasoning, Socrates presents a fundamentally valid argument. In
theory, Socrates s claim that it is not just to treat anyone badly under any circumstances is sound
because not one person or creature deserves bad treatment, no matter the past unjust actions or

World War I was a major conflict fought in Europe and around the world between 1914 until 1918. In
the end, the countries were striving to recover from World War 1 and were in need of a treaty to
prevent any future war from occurring. The countries came to an agreement and decided to create the

portrayed differently compared to male cases, females show their masculinity in different ways.

Twenty four mother infant dyads completed all aspects of the study. Of those 24, 18 were Caucasian,
22 were married, eight of them had an annual family income of $50,000 to $74,999, and seven had an
annual family income of over $100,000. Also 16 of the participating mothers had a graduate degree.
Not only is the sample size very small, but the demographics of the mothers is greatly
disproportionate. With the majority of mothers being caucasian, educated, middle class, married
women, the sample size does not accurately represent the majority of the population who lives in
relative poverty and cannot afford to seek help. About half of the mothers had a history of depression
and were taking or had just started taking antidepressant medication when they first enrolled.
Considering the size of the sample, all the mothers should have been either prescription drug users, or
not, but not both. Prescription drug treatment for any depression significantly changes perceptions of
mood, skewing the results, and there is not enough women in the study to make a concise prognosis.
To assess the mothers postpartum psychiatric difficulties the Postpartum Depression Screening Scale

My Problem with Procrastination
Upon further review, it appears that what I thought was a problem is more of an issue. As well as I
needed to add a problem to my previous essay, so I would like to list a problem I have with
procrastination. I seem to be dealing with increased instances where I have waited to the last minute to
complete homework or a work project. Investigating my problem of procrastination, I will consider
the pros and cons of not getting my schoolwork completed, in a timely manner. The pros outweigh the
cons by a long shot. It is never a good idea to waste time and then rush through just to complete an

Congress on Environment and Development in Rio de Janeiro in 1992, a number of development
projects addressing the theme of biodiversity has considerably increased. Many of these projects have
