The Origin Of Modern Human Behavior
The origin of modern human behavior is a subject in anthropology that accumulates much debate.
Cognition is the dominant factor in such behavior, therefore raises the question, when did this
separation of intelligent or modern thought from the primitive come to daily behavior for our genus?
There are two such answers that hold experts in the field captive in debate: the rapid imagination
revolution in the European centrailized Upper Paleolithic, and the steadiness of cognitive growth
provided first in Africa during the Middle Paleolithic. Although each argument provides supportive
evidence for their perspective claims, the more naturally convincing shows this creative revolution
taking place much earlier than the Upper Paleolithic. This explanations human cognition developing
with no brisk advantageous revolutionary response, and instead by gradual means. This
metamorphosis follows the pattern of biological human evolution. My argument combats the
imagination revolution claim to the origins of creativity using specific artifacts dated earlier than those
of European restrictions. Furthermore, it is the lack of excavation in Africa and the conditions of the
terrain itself that pose problematic preservation of artifacts, unlike in Europe, to exonerate this
innovative exclusivity. These pieces of evidence in Africa exemplify a higher process of thinking,
commonly those showing deliberate means of bead and rock art used for both personal functions of
expression. If art

Driving Under The Influence Of Alcohol And Driving
According to the CDC, driving under the influence of alcohol causes one death every 51 minutes in
the United States. While the driving public may not know this exact statistic, they are aware of the
general effects that this legal drug has on driving. However, many are completely in the dark about
other drugs that also impair one s ability to drive. These are prescription and over the counter (OTC)
drugs. These drugs also slow down reaction times, impair judgement, and cause drowsiness. Some
people mistakenly believe that only alcohol and illegal recreational drugs affect driving. Others are
willfully negligent about driving under the influence of prescription and OTC drugs.

Essay on Courtly Love and Rondeau Form
Courtly Love and Rondeau Form
Both Adieu m amour, adieu ma joye by Dufay and Le souvenir de vous me tue by Morton are the
songs of the courtly love and, they are composed in the rondeau form. From one point of view, the
form of the music, rondeau, may be too specific in terms of the melody order to express the poem of
the courtly love which is about a man s feelings of distant love. However, in these two specific songs,
Dufay and Morton used their clever criativities to let the repetition of the melodies and the poem fit
naturally to the overall flow of the songs.
According to Michael Freeman in The World of Courtly Love, the style of music of the courtly love
was developped by the troubadours who were musicians as well as ... Show more content on

The first set of the poem goes with the melody A, the second set goes with the melody B, the third set
goes with the melody a (*since this poem is different from the first set of the poem, even though the
melody is the same, it needs to be indicated with small a .) Then, the poem from the first set returns
with the melody A again. The fifth set of the poem comes in with the melody a (*) then, the sixth set
of the poem comes in with the melody b (**since this poem is different from the second set of the
poem, even though the melody is the same, it needs to be indicated with small b .) Finally, the same
sets of poem and the melodies from the first and the second combinations return at the end. Then, the
form of rondeau, A B a A a b A B, is completed.
However, why did Morton, in the case of Le souvenir de vous me tue, need to have this specific
combinations of the verses of the poem and the melody? Every section of the poem only contains two
lines and, there are more notes in the melody than the numbers of the syllable in the poem. So, if he
wants, it may be possible to exchange the melody A for melody B in any part of the song. In case of
the Adieu m amour, adieu ma joye, the difference in number of lines of poem would specifies the
combinations of the poem and the melody in its basic level. However, it is not the only reason to

Cannibalism Is Not Illegal ( Eveleth )
The Other, Other, White Meat
We had to eat these dead bodies, and that was it , this is what Andes plane crash survivor, Roberto
Canessa, had to say on his experience with cannibalism. Cannibalism is the consumption of a member
of the same species. Consuming human flesh is not against the law in the United States, therefore
cannibalism is not illegal (Eveleth). In the eyes of the law, murdering someone to eat is wrong, but the
act of eating a human is not. To Americans the simple thought of eating another human is sickening.
To most that is true, but to others consuming human flesh is a way of life. Some cultures practice
cannibalism for their own spiritual beliefs and others have to eat human flesh to survive. Human flesh
has proteins most want when eating meat. The act of eating human meat has gotten a bad reputation
over the years, looking back in history, people thousands of years ago have different views.
Cannibalism is a way to survive, with the proteins necessary to do so, and a way for cultures to
express their beliefs. Cannibalism is a taboo topic most people do not know enough about. People eat
people for a variety of reasons, the most well known being killers getting a thrill from eating their
victims. Although not everyone who is a cannibal gets a high from eating humans, Americans still see
it as evil. Jeffrey Dahmer is the most well known example of this, a man who gets a sexual desire
from killing and eating his victims. Everyone across America knew of

Homelessness Is A Basic Need And All Human Beings Essay
Shelter is a basic need and all human beings are entitled to it. Though some may have shelter, they not
find a home. Homelessness has become rampant throughout the US population. Each day more and
more people are reported not to have this basic need, sleeping in the streets and wandering all day
long. This has become a major area of concern for the government, social services providers and
social policy makers. The government through the US Department of Housing and Urban
Development has put in enormous efforts to combat the annual rise in homelessness but the situation
has not significantly been curbed. Last year, for instance, there were 92, 593 homeless people who
were reported to be chronically homeless. Although this is a 16 percent drop from 2010 statistics, the
current figure is enormous enough to give sleepless nights to policy makers and the federal
government. (US Department of Housing and Urban Development). This brings to question what the
real odds bedeviling access to proper shelter are. While there is interplay of numerous factors, key
among them is the rise in poverty levels. As the poverty index rises, so does the inability to afford
basic shelter units.
Many of the US state governments (majorly New York) have placed rent controls so as to make
housing affordable to its citizens. Landlords rent their housing units to tenants at government
controlled prices. This is done by the introduction on price ceilings and price floors. Tenants are
therefore enabled

Mixtape
They were into you, so they made you a tape is the simple description of, and rationale for, a mixtape
according to Cassette From My Ex, a website devoted to these audio artifacts. Mixtapes (distinct from
dance mixes) were carefully edited compilations of obscure and familiar songs arranged to express the
maker s interests and tell an aural story, often designed for a particular and/or intimate listener. Göran
Hugo Olsson s mixtape documentary is a chronological, musically structured collage tracing the arc of
the Black Power movement from its inception during the civil rights era through its dissolution as
drugs began to erode black communities in the Seventies, created with rarely seen footage culled from

emancipation struggle, inviting audiences of diverse generations to reconsider the global influence of

Periodic Trends Lab
In this lab, students compared the periodic trends of the elements in comparison to the atomic number.
A periodic trend is the tendency of certain properties of the elements to increase or decrease as one
progresses along a row or column of the periodic table. The periodic table is arranged in such a way
that these trends are easy to compare, which is the purpose of this lab. One trend, for example, is
between the electronegativity and the atomic number on an element, another being the density. When
comparing the trends, notice that electronegativity decreases when going down the groups, or
columns, of the period table, whereas the density increases. The reason for the increase in the density,
which is the relationship between the mass ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The noble gases are the gaseous elements helium, neon, argon, krypton, xenon, and radon, in group 18
of the periodic table. Additionally, they are considered the most unreactive of the elements, due to the
fact that the valence electrons are all full , thus making the group the most stable, as well. When it
comes to the periodic trends, the noble gases have the some of the lowest densities because they are
gaseous elements, meaning they state of matter consisting of particles that have neither a definite
volume nor definite shape. The lack of electronegativity of the noble gasses is based off of their group,
which already has a full outer shell, meaning they do not attract any electrons. In final analysis, the
electronegativity and density periodic trends trends are fairly consistent. Electronegativity decreases
when going down groups, while density increases. However, the outliers of these trends are the noble
gases, because of their stable, unreactive properties. In addition to helping students learn about
periodic trends, it also demonstrated to students how these trends were of great use for previous
scientists when they worked together to discover new elements that were missing on the periodic

one of the key themes of the writings of Dr. ambedkar was the attainment of social justice and

Characteristics Of Shaping The Colonies
Shaping the Colonies
Within a span of 300 years, Europe found itself bombarded by domestic disputes and expansionist
curiosity. From the initial expedition by Christopher Columbus in 1492 having sparked European
interests in the Americas, a beacon of freedom sparked the minds of iconoclasts who sought the new
land during a period of time marked by religious tyranny, ongoing wars, and the greed for resources.
Colonial America from the sixteenth to seventeenth centuries was shaped by the hunger for freedom
from the English monarchy in terms of worship and self government.
In 1492, Columbus sailed the ocean blue... Indians! Indians! Columbus cried; His heart was filled with
joyful pride. But India the land was not... The primary school song celebrates the Spanish explorer but
detracts from the motive behind the joyful pride. The fifteenth century was the beginning of the Age of
Exploration for the Portuguese, who dominated international trade by the sixteenth century. The allure
of South African gold, slaves, and ivory and the rich spices and gold of India tempted the Spanish, the
English, the French, and the Dutch to compete in the race for global riches. Christopher Columbus
responded to the opportunity after Ferdinand II of Aragon and Isabella of Castile exiled 200,000 Jews
and defeated the last of Muslim forces in Granada to restore Christianity in Spain during the Spanish
Inquisition. With the Spanish monarchy re establishing control over the nation, which was the

Sustainable Development
Q. Sustainable Development?
Ans:. Sustainable development refers to a mode of human development in which resource use aims to
meet human needs while preserving the environment so that these needs can be met not only in the
present, but also for generations to come. The term sustainable development was used by the
Brundtland Commission which coined what has become the most often quoted definition of
sustainable development: development that meets the needs of the present without compromising the
ability of future generations to meet their own needs. Sustainable development ties together concern
for the carrying capacity of natural systems with the social challenges faced by humanity. As ... Show

An environmentally ideal plant that is shut down due to bankruptcy is obviously less sustainable than
one that is maintainable by the community, even if it is somewhat less effective from an
environmental standpoint. However, this view depends on whether one determines that it is the
development (the plant) which needs to be sustainable, or whether it is the human nature ecology (the
environmental conditions) in which the plant exists which should be sustainable. It follows, then, that
an operational but heavily polluting plant may be judged as actually less sustainable than having no
plant at all.
DOMAINS
I. Economics: The domain of economics is fundamental to considerations of sustainable development,
however there has been considerable criticism of the tendency to use the three domain model of the
triple bottom line: economics, environment and social. This approach is challenged to the extent that it
treats the economy as the master domain, or as a domain that exists outside of the social; it treats the
environment as a world of natural metrics; and it treats the social as a miscellaneous collection of
extra things that do not fit into the economic or environmental domains (see the section on Economic
sustainability below). In the alternative Circles of Sustainability approach, the economic

Jewish Atonement
Religion is the main driving force for many people and a source of hope for countless others.
Christianity is based on the Hebrews and Judaism. Without these religions the single largest religion
would not have come to fruition so it is important to know how these religions set the foundation and
how Christianity took its first steps and leaps from there.
The Hebrews were the first people to practice a monotheistic religion. But even being the first religion
to attempt to practice monotheism, many of its early followers had multiple gods. Religious figures
warned the people of the repercussions of worshiping more than one god under the Hebrew tradition.

Christianity being a universal religion meant that anyone could join it regardless of skin, sex, location,

relaxed which spread messages faster of Christianity. Civic religion, or the religion of a city, began to
decline and people began to convert. Greek and Latin speaking made communication extremely easy
for people to spread a message even on other parts of the world. Jesus of Nazareth was a real human
being instead of some intangible deity that was only depicted through statues and pictures, people
could actually stand face to face with the son of God and touch him which was impossible with
polytheistic religions of the time. Parables were stories meant to convict someone but also depicted
relatable situations and included a hero that was an ordinary person while the villain was someone
who is usually the hero. A large reason as to why Christianity became popular in a relatively short
time is because it appealed to the poor by convicting the rich and the powerful and empowering the

Why did moral reform movements gather strength in the...
In the mid to late 1800s, a great moral reform movement swept the nation of America. Men, Women,

This rejection of traditionally held values in regard to women, led to the very next Ism, Feminism.
Feminism was a Utopians dream because it advocated greatly expanded roles for women. By the time
of the precedent setting New York State court case Mercein v. People in 1842, women had gained
many other rights. In Mercein vs. People a woman was awarded custody of children for the first time
in history. Up till this point women had gained property rights within marriage in several Ohio and
Mississippi Valley states, and the trend was spreading, fast, and divorce became slightly more
prevalent, with the legal grounds increased. With the growth of the Industrial Revolution, women were
given work opportunities, and with a rising demand for teachers more and more women were
becoming educated in institutions. Nursing jobs also became popular. In1849, Elizabeth Blackwell
received her M.D. degree from the Medical Institution of Geneva, N.Y., becoming the first woman in
the U.S. with a medical degree. All these causes lead women, inevitably, towards feminism, a socio
religious and socio political philosophy born at the end of the Age of Jackson. Feminism was affecting
moral reform, and was right there at the heart. These women activists pushed and shoved till they got
their way. The final force was the Declaration of Sentiments at Seneca Falls, New York on 1848.

It s not the fact that we did not know what to say, but I think it was the fear of the unknown, the fear
that something was different then what we had known our whole lives. That s why I think the
European governors treated the indigenous people the way they did due to the unknown. What is
foreign to us is one of the scariest things that is out there, especially something we think that might
over power us. This does not give them the right to think the way that they did, that the indigenous
people were beast like and deserved to be enslaved. The one scene in the movie made my heart ache
when Cabeza stated, A herring can be taught to sing. Yes, the indigenous people had a different way of
life. They hunted for their own food shown in the scene where they were trying to get Rodrigo to kill
the pig, they built their own houses, and yes, they wore different clothing. These are all things that
come from being a part of a different culture it does not make anyone less human. We need to take a
lesson from the movie and stand up and realize that people are people no matter how different. This
leads the movie to another good point that social injustice still happens in everyday life. We need to be
accepting of all individuals and help break down these social injustices by getting to know one another

Characteristics Of Greek Revival Architecture

in the United States around 1820.It is an outstanding example of a style that gained esteem by

Rampart District of Las Angeles during the 1960s (unitedgangs, 2017). The exact location of the
gangs origination is debated however, most academic sources accepts this general area. The people
who made up the gang were mostly second generation Hispanic immigrants (unitedganga, 2017). This
gang was originally part of the Clanton 14 but some members wanted to separate in order to form their
own gang calling themselves the Clanton 18th Street. In addition, they also wanted to give new
immigrants the opportunity to join. Separating into their own gang allowed for exponential growth of
its members and even more so once they became more established ... Show more content on

In addition, many leaders of 18th Street Gang also report to the Mexican Mafia (InSightCrime, 2017).
Authorities allege that these gangs together run drugs from Central America to the United States.
Furthermore, they also have allegedly linked up with some of Mexico s most notorious drug
trafficking networks (InSightCrime, 2017). The 18th Street Gang is like most gangs and has semi
autonomous cells, called cliques. There is a hierarchy within these cliques but it is unlike the military
with a top to bottom chain of command that spreads across to all members through North and Central
America. The gang is more decentralized and horizontal in structure. On the street, there are
Shotcallers, their Lieutenants, and the foot soldiers beneath them. Each clique generally function
independently however they will combine groups when fighting rival gangs or law enforcement. It is
unknown who is at the top of their organization.
Even today the 18th Street Gang is considered the largest gang in Los Angeles, California. It is
estimated that there are thousands of members in Los Angeles County alone and approximately 200
separate individual autonomous gangs which operate under the same label in other counties
throughout southern California. It is considered one of the most violent gangs in the United

Jean Piaget s Stages Of Cognitive Development
Piaget s Stages of Cognitive Development
The Stages Through his research, Jean Piaget was able to determine that there are four stages of
cognitive development in humans. The stages include the sensorimotor stage, the pre operational
stage, the concreate operational stage, and the formal operational stage. He determined that all people
go through the stages, but they all go through the stages at their own pace. Some people may never
reach the final stages. The sensorimotor stage begins at birth and ends around two years old, when the
child has acquired language. At the beginning of this stage, children do not see a difference between
themselves and things around them. Children in this stage repeat activities repeatedly to see what will
happen and see a cause and effect. This behavior may be seen when a child repeatedly knocks their
sippy cup off their highchair. They will do this after they realize that it makes the cup disappear and
then the parent gives the child attention and makes the cup reappear.
The main milestone in the sensorimotor stage is object permanence. That means that the child knows
that something is still there even if they cannot see it. Children in this stage are also capable of
creating mental representations of objects, or schema. The preoperational stage begins at around two
years old and ends around seven years old. During this stage, children can think symbolically. They
have the ability to see relationships between words, numbers, signs, and

Film, Spirited Away, By Miyazaki Hayao
In Miyazaki Hayao s animated film, Spirited Away, Miyazaki presents a young girl Chihiro who visits
an abandoned amusement park, only to become trapped in a fantasy world where spirits reside.
Although most of these creatures are very unique and quite unlike the others, most of them have one
thing in common: their body features are very disproportional compared to the size of their bodies.
This strange similarity depicted by Miyazaki invokes strong feelings of fear and appreciation in
particular for the viewer. While many characters have ominous, creepy appearances similar to that of a
ghost, they still have large eyes, blob shaped bodies, and they make little to no noise. These three
characteristics emphasize the helplessness the cuteness of these creatures. The ominous appearance of
the characters does however quickly begin to clash more obviously with their cute defining factors. In
one early particular scene, Chihiro encounters a radish spirit: a large, round creature whose body
shape resembles a radish. At first, the creature is threatening to the viewer, as it is large compared to
most characters and its appearance is foreign and bizarre. But even though the spirit appears scary,
Chihiro sticks around it briefly, and the viewer is prompted to further observes its figure. At that point,
the the rotundness of the spirit radish s figure becomes more apparent, and the viewer is lead to see
him as not just threatening anymore, but also cute. But things that are cute are

How Did Jim Crow Laws Affect The Youth Of Today
We never thought about being teenagers. We only thought about surviving. This is what it felt like to
be a teenager in 1939, compared to the teenagers of today. Back then, many adolescents were affected
by the Great Depression and World War II, especially African Americans. Racial tensions were high,
jobs were unavailable, and teenagers had to leave their homes. Today, teens say whatever is on their
mind, have hardly any respect for those superior to them, worry about smartphones, and wondering
what to wear tomorrow. Compared to the past, many African Americans of today would never know
how terrible it was to be living in America in 1939. For African American in 1939, segregation was
still running high, especially in the South. With the Great Depression coming nearly to end, World
War 2 beginning, and the Jim Crow Laws still in full effect, times were even harder than they were
before. Blacks attempted to get employment to help their families, but the odds were against them
since unemployment for blacks were twice as high as other races. African American juveniles who had

of a company or even as president. They have the same rights as other races to voice their opinions,

because of the color of their skin. It would be wrong to say that racial tensions are gone forever, but

A Link Between Cervical Cancer And Hpv
Introduction Did you know there is more of a link between cervical cancer and HPV than smoking and
lung cancer? Cervical cancer is currently the fourth most common cancer in women and the second
leading cause of death from cancer in women. Along with those statistics, human papillomavirus is the
most common sexually transmitted viral disease amongst men and women worldwide. The prevalence
of women having a strain of HPV that ultimately leads to or increases the chance of cervical cancer is
highly relatable. What is pathophysiology, signs, symptoms, prevention, and treatments of this
ailment? You might ask will be covered in the next few pages of this paper.

Human papilloma virus will cause almost all cases of cervical cancer, and therefore is the highest risk
factor. There are many factors that will determine if HPV will lead to cervical cancer, HPV directly

This is where the virus will proliferate into more differentiated cells to spawn offspring virus. The
virus replication is what causes the skin characteristics of a wart. With the help of a pap smear, we are
able to investigate if cervical epithelial cells are healthy and normal or determine which point in
dysplasia they are at in transforming to cancerous cells. The HPV virus does not need a host to
survive, and can survive in low and high temperatures. The different stages of the squamous
intraepithelial lesion can include low grade, high grade risk types of HPV, at this point HPV can
spontaneously go away on its own and shows no signs of concern to the patient. If a biopsy is done
and is showing dysplasia the physician can then rate the Cervical intraepithelial neoplasm is common

Bus Stop By William Inge
The visual that a play presents is a dominating factor in the quest to invite an audience member into a
world of which they feel a part. In a play such as Bus Stop by William Inge, this is especially
important because Grace s Diner plays a primary role in the storytelling. Inge s use of the iconic
American diner to tell his story is ingenious. Simply setting eyes on the set inevitably evokes pleasant
feelings of familiarity and comfort in the minds of most audience members. A diner is a place where
people gather; a place where individuals from different backgrounds share a similar experience. Inge
crafted his characters meticulously in order to create contrast, conflict, and chemistry that would drive
the plot through the forced ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

chairs would not match. There would be two or three different types of chairs dispersed among the 3
tables.
Two badly shaded light bulbs would hang from the ceiling, creating the illusion that they are the only
light source, however if this were actually the case, the lighting would prove insufficient for the
audience to see the action on stage without straining their eyes. Therefore, most of the light would be
generated from the lighting system in the theatre. It is imperative that the contrast between the diner
and the harsh weather outside be evident from the start. This can be accomplished by presenting the
windows piled with snow on the outside, almost to the top of the windows, as if a snow plow had
pushed the snow up against them. The tops of the windows would appear to be covered in frost. This
visual would provide a realistic and budget friendly means of establishing the weather, because it
would not be necessary to find technology to create an ongoing blizzard outside. Wind sounds with
controllable velocity would contribute heavily to this. The warm colored lighting in the diner, as well

The City of Red Deer will be upgrading their existing content management system, TerminalFour
SiteManager, from version 7.4 to version 8. Version 8 is substantially different from version 7; it will
require a newer operating system and a newer version of SQL server among other resources.
Microsoft Server 2012 and Microsoft SQL Server 2012 have been selected as the operating system
and relational database management system for the upgrade, respectively. To support and maintain the
existing environment the new version will be deployed on a development server independent of the
existing architecture. The external website, www.reddeer.ca, and the internal site, thebridge.reddeer.ca,

The City of Red Deer has a moderately complex website architecture that will need to be thoroughly
investigated and tested to ensure it is still functioning properly with version 8 of SiteManager. The
City of Red Deer makes use of VB.NET applications and generally uses a Code only template in the
content management system to make use of the VB.NET user controls (.ascx). The city also has
additional components that fall outside of the CMS/user control, the most prominent being the
www.reddeerevents.ca domain that will need to be tested for integration with the new version of
TerminalFour SiteManager v8.
Once the new server and website architecture are exposed the new features in v8 of SiteManager will
need to be explored. V8 was heavily re designed with responsiveness in mind which will need to be
evaluated and documented; v8 has also added extensive ability to measure engage users as well as a
multitude of other enhancement and new features. Up and Running with v8

method for keeping certain medical issues. Could it truly be this advantageous? You will soon observe
that the medical advantages represent themselves and that these arrangements were gotten from the
discoveries of our precursors. They realized that spirulina was something bravo, yet they simply didn t
understand how broad these discoveries would wind up being. The historical backdrop of spirulina, as
we probably am aware it today, goes back to the fourteenth century with the Aztecs. Other ethnic
gatherings living in Africa or encompassing districts likewise found that these particular green growth

protein, yet they perceived that it was fulfilling and satisfying and, accordingly, got to be distinctly
one of the principle staples in their eating routine. All through history from this time forward, spirulina
began to pick up force in the way that it could give fuel and support to specific societies. It was the

So is GJ436b worth the journey to maybe become a second or alternative human home? With current
technology, resources, and knowledge the answer is maybe. It is said that the surface may have rock
and ice but with current technology it is difficult to tell. However, on May 16, 2007 scientists
calculated that GJ436b s diameter is 3.95 +/ 0.35 Earths diameter. These measurements allowed the
scientists to deduce that the planet could sustain exotic ice based on size, mass and location relative to
its star. In describing the location of GJ436b, it orbits its star at a distance of roughly 0.02887 (+/
0.00095) AU. That amounts to less than a tenth of the distance between the Sun and Mercury in our

A red dwarf star is considered to be a great spot for life because of its potential for long term
habitability. For earth, the habitable zone it resides in lasts only about 7 to 10 billion years. Compare
that to a red dwarf, where a habitable zone can last for for a span almost five times greater than that
for earth. Thus making a red dwarf a good candidate for life to grow, develop and become advanced.
Another point to consider is that many planets orbiting M dwarf, red dwarf stars are highly likely to
have large amounts of water which suggests the idea that there could be many habitable planets
surrounding a red dwarf star. However, red dwarf stars have a few big problems. Due to the low
luminosity of a red dwarf, planets have to be relatively close for it to be in the known habitable zone.
And by being so close, planets face hostile conditions. One condition is the barrage of stellar wind,
which could strip a planets atmosphere. Another is that the planet could be tidally locked, so only one
side would face the star. Lastly, is that red dwarf stars are emit extreme EUV and X ray

Victorian Era Tea
During the Victorian Era tea became very popular. In fact, it became so widely liked that ale was
displaced as the most favorite of all beverages and tea reigned supreme. During the time of Queen
Victoria, there was a lady in waiting, Anne, the duchess of Bedford. The meals in England consisted of
a huge breakfast, slightly lesser lunch and dinner. After lunch, the duchess would ask her maids to get
her some tea and little cakes to go with it. She drank it in solitude at first, but later, she began inviting
her friends and other ladies to join her. The drinking of tea led to the birth of a thing beyond a habit or
addiction. It became a culture. Tea rooms popped up all over the place, private teas and teas in hotels
were in demand. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Four Perfect Mate Traits
The four perfect mate traits
Everyone has their own idea of what the perfect mate is. Those who are ready to take relationships
seriously, think long and hard about the characteristics someone possesses before they make
commitments to them. Some may be looking for a spouse that will always make them laugh, or
someone who s a good listener. While both of those can be good traits to have, I look at finding a
spouse on a much deeper level. Here are the top four traits that are most important to me. Although I
am an open minded person and respectful of all views, my perfect mate will have to have the same
religious views as me. This is important to me, because I do take Christianity seriously, and I want to
be able to share that with my future ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
When people first start dating, they have the spark , and always work extra hard to impress the other.
A lot of times, after they ve been together for years, they get comfortable and just stop trying to do
better, for their spouse but also for themselves. I want my mate and I to constantly grow together and
do our very best to be the best we can be. Lastly, as cheesy as it may sound, I want him to be my hero.
Yes, I said it, my hero. All of my life, I ve been very independent and never the kind to ask for help. I
want my mate to know me for the stubborn, hard headed woman that I am, and swoop in and lend a
hand whenever I need it without even being asked. He doesn t have to be superman, he doesn t have to
make lots of money, but I want him to care so much, that he will stop at nothing to bring me
happiness. The perfect mate for me isn t made up of superficial qualities. I m just looking for qualities
from the heart. As I said, marriage is teamwork, so I will bring him as much happiness as he brings
me. I firmly believe that our Christian values that we ll share will be the most important part of our
relationship together. When we both actively seek God, and make Him the center of our relationship,
we will succeed

  • 2. The Origin Of Modern Human Behavior The origin of modern human behavior is a subject in anthropology that accumulates much debate. Cognition is the dominant factor in such behavior, therefore raises the question, when did this separation of intelligent or modern thought from the primitive come to daily behavior for our genus? There are two such answers that hold experts in the field captive in debate: the rapid imagination revolution in the European centrailized Upper Paleolithic, and the steadiness of cognitive growth provided first in Africa during the Middle Paleolithic. Although each argument provides supportive evidence for their perspective claims, the more naturally convincing shows this creative revolution taking place much earlier than the Upper Paleolithic. This explanations human cognition developing with no brisk advantageous revolutionary response, and instead by gradual means. This metamorphosis follows the pattern of biological human evolution. My argument combats the imagination revolution claim to the origins of creativity using specific artifacts dated earlier than those of European restrictions. Furthermore, it is the lack of excavation in Africa and the conditions of the terrain itself that pose problematic preservation of artifacts, unlike in Europe, to exonerate this innovative exclusivity. These pieces of evidence in Africa exemplify a higher process of thinking, commonly those showing deliberate means of bead and rock art used for both personal functions of expression. If art ... While the driving public may not know this exact statistic, they are aware of the general effects that this legal drug has on driving. However, many are completely in the dark about other drugs that also impair one s ability to drive. These are prescription and over the counter (OTC) drugs. These drugs also slow down reaction times, impair judgement, and cause drowsiness. Some people mistakenly believe that only alcohol and illegal recreational drugs affect driving. • 5. Essay on Courtly Love and Rondeau Form Courtly Love and Rondeau Form Both Adieu m amour, adieu ma joye by Dufay and Le souvenir de vous me tue by Morton are the songs of the courtly love and, they are composed in the rondeau form. From one point of view, the form of the music, rondeau, may be too specific in terms of the melody order to express the poem of the courtly love which is about a man s feelings of distant love. However, in these two specific songs, Dufay and Morton used their clever criativities to let the repetition of the melodies and the poem fit naturally to the overall flow of the songs. According to Michael Freeman in The World of Courtly Love, the style of music of the courtly love was developped by the troubadours who were musicians as well as ... Then, the poem from the first set returns with the melody A again. The fifth set of the poem comes in with the melody a (*) then, the sixth set of the poem comes in with the melody b (**since this poem is different from the second set of the poem, even though the melody is the same, it needs to be indicated with small b .) Finally, the same sets of poem and the melodies from the first and the second combinations return at the end. Then, the form of rondeau, A B a A a b A B, is completed. However, why did Morton, in the case of Le souvenir de vous me tue, need to have this specific combinations of the verses of the poem and the melody? Every section of the poem only contains two lines and, there are more notes in the melody than the numbers of the syllable in the poem. So, if he wants, it may be possible to exchange the melody A for melody B in any part of the song. In case of the Adieu m amour, adieu ma joye, the difference in number of lines of poem would specifies the combinations of the poem and the melody in its basic level. • 8. Cannibalism Is Not Illegal ( Eveleth ) The Other, Other, White Meat We had to eat these dead bodies, and that was it , this is what Andes plane crash survivor, Roberto Canessa, had to say on his experience with cannibalism. Cannibalism is the consumption of a member of the same species. Consuming human flesh is not against the law in the United States, therefore cannibalism is not illegal (Eveleth). In the eyes of the law, murdering someone to eat is wrong, but the act of eating a human is not. To Americans the simple thought of eating another human is sickening. To most that is true, but to others consuming human flesh is a way of life. Some cultures practice cannibalism for their own spiritual beliefs and others have to eat human flesh to survive. Human flesh has proteins most want when eating meat. The act of eating human meat has gotten a bad reputation over the years, looking back in history, people thousands of years ago have different views. Cannibalism is a way to survive, with the proteins necessary to do so, and a way for cultures to express their beliefs. Cannibalism is a taboo topic most people do not know enough about. People eat people for a variety of reasons, the most well known being killers getting a thrill from eating their victims. Although not everyone who is a cannibal gets a high from eating humans, Americans still see it as evil. Jeffrey Dahmer is the most well known example of this, a man who gets a sexual desire from killing and eating his victims. Everyone across America knew of ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 9. Homelessness Is A Basic Need And All Human Beings Essay Shelter is a basic need and all human beings are entitled to it. Though some may have shelter, they not find a home. Homelessness has become rampant throughout the US population. Each day more and more people are reported not to have this basic need, sleeping in the streets and wandering all day long. This has become a major area of concern for the government, social services providers and social policy makers. The government through the US Department of Housing and Urban Development has put in enormous efforts to combat the annual rise in homelessness but the situation has not significantly been curbed. Last year, for instance, there were 92, 593 homeless people who were reported to be chronically homeless. Although this is a 16 percent drop from 2010 statistics, the current figure is enormous enough to give sleepless nights to policy makers and the federal government. (US Department of Housing and Urban Development). This brings to question what the real odds bedeviling access to proper shelter are. While there is interplay of numerous factors, key among them is the rise in poverty levels. As the poverty index rises, so does the inability to afford basic shelter units. Many of the US state governments (majorly New York) have placed rent controls so as to make housing affordable to its citizens. Landlords rent their housing units to tenants at government controlled prices. This is done by the introduction on price ceilings and price floors. Tenants are therefore enabled ... Mixtapes (distinct from dance mixes) were carefully edited compilations of obscure and familiar songs arranged to express the maker s interests and tell an aural story, often designed for a particular and/or intimate listener. • 11. Periodic Trends Lab In this lab, students compared the periodic trends of the elements in comparison to the atomic number. A periodic trend is the tendency of certain properties of the elements to increase or decrease as one progresses along a row or column of the periodic table. The periodic table is arranged in such a way that these trends are easy to compare, which is the purpose of this lab. One trend, for example, is between the electronegativity and the atomic number on an element, another being the density. When comparing the trends, notice that electronegativity decreases when going down the groups, or columns, of the period table, whereas the density increases. The reason for the increase in the density, which is the relationship between the mass ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The noble gases are the gaseous elements helium, neon, argon, krypton, xenon, and radon, in group 18 of the periodic table. Additionally, they are considered the most unreactive of the elements, due to the fact that the valence electrons are all full , thus making the group the most stable, as well. When it comes to the periodic trends, the noble gases have the some of the lowest densities because they are gaseous elements, meaning they state of matter consisting of particles that have neither a definite volume nor definite shape. • 15. Sustainable Development Q. Sustainable Development? Ans:. Sustainable development refers to a mode of human development in which resource use aims to meet human needs while preserving the environment so that these needs can be met not only in the present, but also for generations to come. The term sustainable development was used by the Brundtland Commission which coined what has become the most often quoted definition of sustainable development: development that meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs. An environmentally ideal plant that is shut down due to bankruptcy is obviously less sustainable than one that is maintainable by the community, even if it is somewhat less effective from an environmental standpoint. However, this view depends on whether one determines that it is the development (the plant) which needs to be sustainable, or whether it is the human nature ecology (the environmental conditions) in which the plant exists which should be sustainable. It follows, then, that an operational but heavily polluting plant may be judged as actually less sustainable than having no plant at all. DOMAINS I. Economics: The domain of economics is fundamental to considerations of sustainable development, however there has been considerable criticism of the tendency to use the three domain model of the triple bottom line: economics, environment and social. This approach is challenged to the extent that it treats the economy as the master domain, or as a domain that exists outside of the social; it treats the environment as a world of natural metrics; and it treats the social as a miscellaneous collection of extra things that do not fit into the economic or environmental domains (see the section on Economic sustainability below). Jean Piaget s Stages Of Cognitive Development Piaget s Stages of Cognitive Development The Stages Through his research, Jean Piaget was able to determine that there are four stages of cognitive development in humans. The stages include the sensorimotor stage, the pre operational stage, the concreate operational stage, and the formal operational stage. He determined that all people go through the stages, but they all go through the stages at their own pace. Some people may never reach the final stages. The sensorimotor stage begins at birth and ends around two years old, when the child has acquired language. At the beginning of this stage, children do not see a difference between themselves and things around them. Children in this stage repeat activities repeatedly to see what will happen and see a cause and effect. This behavior may be seen when a child repeatedly knocks their sippy cup off their highchair. They will do this after they realize that it makes the cup disappear and then the parent gives the child attention and makes the cup reappear. The main milestone in the sensorimotor stage is object permanence. That means that the child knows that something is still there even if they cannot see it. Children in this stage are also capable of creating mental representations of objects, or schema. The preoperational stage begins at around two years old and ends around seven years old. • 33. Gj436b Research Paper So is GJ436b worth the journey to maybe become a second or alternative human home? With current technology, resources, and knowledge the answer is maybe. It is said that the surface may have rock and ice but with current technology it is difficult to tell. However, on May 16, 2007 scientists calculated that GJ436b s diameter is 3.95 +/ 0.35 Earths diameter. These measurements allowed the scientists to deduce that the planet could sustain exotic ice based on size, mass and location relative to its star. In describing the location of GJ436b, it orbits its star at a distance of roughly 0.02887 (+/ 0.00095) AU. That amounts to less than a tenth of the distance between the Sun and Mercury in our solar system. This means that the surface temperature is very hot with scientific ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... A red dwarf star is considered to be a great spot for life because of its potential for long term habitability. For earth, the habitable zone it resides in lasts only about 7 to 10 billion years. Compare that to a red dwarf, where a habitable zone can last for for a span almost five times greater than that for earth. Thus making a red dwarf a good candidate for life to grow, develop and become advanced. Another point to consider is that many planets orbiting M dwarf, red dwarf stars are highly likely to have large amounts of water which suggests the idea that there could be many habitable planets surrounding a red dwarf star. However, red dwarf stars have a few big problems. Due to the low luminosity of a red dwarf, planets have to be relatively close for it to be in the known habitable zone. And by being so close, planets face hostile conditions. One condition is the barrage of stellar wind, which could strip a planets atmosphere. Another is that the planet could be tidally locked, so only one side would face the star. Lastly, is that red dwarf stars are emit extreme EUV and X ray ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 38. Four Perfect Mate Traits The four perfect mate traits Everyone has their own idea of what the perfect mate is. Those who are ready to take relationships seriously, think long and hard about the characteristics someone possesses before they make commitments to them. Some may be looking for a spouse that will always make them laugh, or someone who s a good listener. While both of those can be good traits to have, I look at finding a spouse on a much deeper level. Here are the top four traits that are most important to me. Although I am an open minded person and respectful of all views, my perfect mate will have to have the same religious views as me. This is important to me, because I do take Christianity seriously, and I want to be able to share that with my future ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... When people first start dating, they have the spark , and always work extra hard to impress the other. A lot of times, after they ve been together for years, they get comfortable and just stop trying to do better, for their spouse but also for themselves. I want my mate and I to constantly grow together and do our very best to be the best we can be. Lastly, as cheesy as it may sound, I want him to be my hero. Yes, I said it, my hero. All of my life, I ve been very independent and never the kind to ask for help. I want my mate to know me for the stubborn, hard headed woman that I am, and swoop in and lend a hand whenever I need it without even being asked. He doesn t have to be superman, he doesn t have to make lots of money, but I want him to care so much, that he will stop at nothing to bring me happiness. The perfect mate for me isn t made up of superficial qualities. I m just looking for qualities from the heart. As I said, marriage is teamwork, so I will bring him as much happiness as he brings me. I firmly believe that our Christian values that we ll share will be the most important part of our relationship together. When we both actively seek God, and make Him the center of our relationship, we will succeed ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
