Advantages And Disadvantages Of Materials
2.2 Advantages and disadvantages these materials
There are several advantages and disadvantages of the materials that have been discussed above.
Natural fibers normally are renewable resource so that their cost is relatively low as compared with
other synthetic fibers. With the consideration of environmental consciousness, natural fibers are
biodegradable so as they can alleviate the problem of massive solid wastes produced and relief
the pressure of landfills if they are used for replacing other non degradable materials for product
development. Besides, according to their inherent properties, natural fibers are flexible for
processing due to their less susceptible to machine tool damage and health hazards during the
manufacturing and etc. Moreover, natural fibers possess many advantages characteristics such as
desirable fiber aspect ratio, low density and relatively high tensile and flexural moduli [11].
These are attractive to us because they are low density, biodegradable, recyclable, carbon dioxide
neutral, non abrasive, low cost and widely available products, although they also have some
properties that restrict their application in aircraft, said Airbus Research Technology (R T) senior
vice president, Axel Krein [11].... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Furthermore, flax fiber modulus is comparable to that of glass but has a lower density, this means
that flax fibers actually have a higher specific stiffness than glass fibers. The excellent mechanical
properties of flax, combined with the added functionalities they bring, make them a very attractive
potential material for fiber reinforced composites. Their remarkable advantages compared with
those conventional inorganic man made fillers enhance their commercial and research

Major Factors that Led to the Enactment of Clinical...
I.MAJOR FACTORS THAT LED TO THE ENACTMENT OF CLINICAL ESTABLISHEMNT
ACT
As a fact the for profit private sector accounts for a considerable proportion of health care in India
i.e50% of inpatient care and 60 70% of outpatient care, but till the enactment of the Act received
relatively less attention from the policy makers. Thus the private sector health care delivery system
in India has remained largely fragmented and hysterical, and there is a clear evidence of grave
quality of care deficiencies in many practices. Difficulties range from inadequate and inappropriate
treatments, excessive use of higher technologies, and wasting of scarce resources, to serious
problems of malpractice and negligence. Current policies and processes for health care were pitiful
or not responsive to ensure health care services of acceptable quality and prevent negligence.
There was a need to establish bodies and systems to monitor clinical and non clinical efficiency of
the services offered in the public and private facilities. In India concerns about how to improve
health care quality have been frequently raised by the general public and a wide variety of
stakeholders, including government, professional associations, private providers and agencies
financing health care. There also have been attempts to establish systems and process that would
ensure quality of care by the health providers.
The best mechanism for curbing the malpractices is legislation or imposition of legal restrictions or

Fear Dentist Essay
Fear is natural but what isn t natural is that people are afraid from improving their health due to
unreliable reasons that are created from their imagination.
People have always been afraid from dentists, and that fear is growing larger every year. The fear
driven by a number of factors that may relate to the person and their association of dentists with
pain, or the fear of the sound of the machines caused by fears originating from childhood
memories and other experiences in life. The fears of past hearings related to the dentists and their
actions may be a reason for fear in the patients. The details of the study below aim at developing

These have created fears in people and led to difficulties on gaining confidence to obtain dental
care. Moreover, the human mind is much related to stimuli and responses based on the causes of
the stimuli. Relating these to the experiment of Pavlov on the dogs and constant stimuli
occasioned by the sound of a bell that indicated a time for food, one discovers the relationship of
the thought of a visit to the dentist to the effect or the pain of it. (Coon, p.261). The conditioning
of the mind to fear as a result of a visit to the dentist would result into a fear. Smell of the hospital
accompanied by the sound of the machines used during the operation yield into fears for a number
of patients. The common smell of drugs in the hospital causes fears in many people that make
them fear the whole procedure. A sound produced by two equipments or machines used raise fear
levels in some people.
In dealing with these fears, there is need to coordinate the causes with a professional approach to
handling them based on those identified in each patient. These are part of the professional
obligations of the dentists (Ozar Sokol, p.15). Cause of fear differs from one patient to another, as
well as the solution to it. These majorly deal with the alleviation of the fear. The fear normally
grows further if the patient uses a dentist they may not

Epistemology of Conspiracy Theories: Section 1
TSCADS: Above the Conspiracy Theory Label
There exists a hierarchy of knowing in societies, with elites who know more than the common
people. Some argue that social cohesion and order depends on the maintenance of noble lies. This
prompts the question of whether democratic forms of government can coexist with secrecy, or
whether there is a fundamental confliction. The secrecy demanded by the government seems to
have led to the prospering of conspiracy theories and state crimes against democracy (SCAD). This
essay investigates the definitions of a conspiracy theory compared to a SCAD through legal scholars
such as Cass Robert Sunstein and Lance deHaven Smith, and coins ... Show more content on

New Hampshire Visit
My mother held the reason for the family s New Hampshire visit, two tickets to a race at New
Hampshire Motor Speedway. While my parents attended the race in the sweltering heat, my sister,
Catlyn, and I had the entire day to ourselves. We didn t have much of a plan besides spending the
day without our parents. Catlyn and I agreed to explore the area around Hampton, starting near our
hotel. We found a pamphlet for a group of outlet stores. Upon further inspection of the pamphlet,
we realized that outlets were in Maine. This fact had confused us. To our knowledge New
Hampshire and Maine seemed too far for a day s drive. When we found directions on our phones we

We still had plenty of time in the day to get to Kittery, so Catlyn and I set off for Maine. As our
parents didn t have the pleasure of knowing that we decided to drive to Maine, we thoughtfully
sent them a picture of the Welcome to Maine sign, leaving them to question why we left the state.
We arrived at Kittery sometime near noon. After walking around in the summer heat, we stopped
at a Bose factory store. The moment we walked into the store we fell under a trance to try on
every single pair of headphones. Ooh, noise cancelling, my sister said with a sarcastic tone. We
compared pairs of headphones and enjoyed the cool air conditioning. We had to pick up every
pair and check, possibly double check, the cushions and the way the headphones felt when we
wore them. The time spent in the Bose store was well needed as the air conditioning was
perfectly set to cool us during the warm day. After our folly in the store we decided to check the
rest of the outlet stores to possibly find more nonsensical things to mess around with. We stopped
into a store called Brookstone after. This store is known for its odd gadgets and assortment of
massage chairs. This store didn t interest us as much because everything interesting was not out on

What Are Superstitions
Are Superstitions our negative heritage? By: Shailja Parashar What are superstitions? In Wikipedia
superstition is defined as Superstition is the belief in supernatural causality that one event causes
another without any natural process linking the two events such as astrology, religion, omens,
witchcraft, prophecies, etc., that contradicts natural science. It is a belief which is not based on
scientific knowledge; it is driven by mysteries and magical stories. The word superstition itself
means blind faith or belief in something influenced by one s behavior in some magical or mysteries
way. Also, in Hindi language superstition is called as Andh vishwash , which means blind faith;
moreover in Gujarati language it means Andhlo Vishwash which also means following the custom
or the tradition blindly without any scientific proof. So, it is quite complex to understand
superstition in the scientific context. Scientists have done various researches and studied about the
psychology behind the belief but sometimes, it is unbelievable how few practices are drawn and
continued till now as opposition to superstition was never questioned in the contexts where gods
and deities existed. Superstitions are not only those which are passed to us from our ancestors but

Design issues As like any other building the design of the Empire State building is prone to bad
design. A bad design could pose a major risk as any miscalculation or oversight would mean that
its structure may not be able to handle the stress and enormous loads. Design may show low
probability but will have very high impact if the building comes crashing down. The Empire
State Building was the first commercial construction project to employ the technique of fast track
construction, a commonplace approach today but very new in the early 20th Century. This
technique consists of starting the construction process before the designs are fully completed in
order to reduce delays and inflation costs. In this case, it was imperative to use the fast track
construction method to win the race for the tallest building (2). Force majeure By definition,
force majeure is a superior force , also known as cas fortuit (French) or casus fortuitus (Latin)
chance occurrence, unavoidable accident (11). Force majeure may be repeated heavy hail, or an
earthquake, or a hurricane. The building is intended to stand for some years should be able to meet
these challenges. A flexible structure may avoid destruction in an earthquake, while a more solid
building with good masonry would be destroyed. Earthquakes can also result in foundation
problems when moist filled land liquefies (13). The Empire State

Family business are businesses that are created from their founding fathers of that era, if may

in the economy of Malaysia; the reason is that more than half of the Gross Domestic Product of
Malaysia is from the family businesses that are conducted in Malaysia. For example The Genting
group and The Berjaya group are two of the most famous family businesses that are conducted in
Malaysia. The following are the issues and challenges that are faced by family businesses in
Malaysia.

The fourth challenge and issue that affects the family businesses in Malaysia is leadership
which is basically the compass for the direction of the family business. It is very hard for family
business to have good leadership because it involves leading, involving, and also motivating the
people in the family business so that they share the same goal. So, if the leader of the family
business is strong, then the chance of the business to succeed will surely be very high. The first
thing is that the good leader must have the stamina and the passion to lead. Besides that, the
leader must have a wide knowledge of the economy and also the industry itself so that he or she
can direct a most beneficial way for the family business to approach and also giving a sense of
common purpose. Lastly, the leader must have power to control the people in the family business
and tell them what is the plan and what they need to do.
The last challenge and issue that affects the family businesses in Malaysia is fair compensation
which also includes fair treatment to the people involved in the family business. The reason why
this is a common issue in family business is because that the family members always tend to treat
their own family member better and they also make bias decision most of the time. The most
common problem is the payment and the salary of the people in family business. People who are
the family member often

What Is the Real Cost of Employee Turnover
What Is the Real Cost Of Employee Turnover
The employee turnover rate and the retention of skilled employees is a major problem businesses
face. Conservative estimates put the cost of replacing a lost employee at 25 percent of the annual
compensation amount. For the typical full time employee who earns $38,481 and receives $50,025
in total compensation, the total cost of turnover would amount to $12,506 per employee. This
being the case employee turnover is a major cost and can significantly influence the bottom line so
it should be avoided if possible. (Bliss)
Employee turnover is a critical cost driver for American business. The cost of recruiting and filling
vacancies, lost productivity from vacant jobs, and the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Turnover also creates opportunities for advancement. Companies in no growth situations need
turnover to open slots for high performers who are ready to advance. (Javitch) Perhaps the most
positive effect of turnover concerns the nature of human capital itself. Turnover allows companies
to re tool and replenish their workforces, and to prevent stagnation. New ideas, new capabilities,
new experience from the outside are generally required if an organization hopes to remain
competitive.
In closing I will say, you need to look at all the factors before forming an opinion of what the cost
of employee turnover is in each situation. If the employee would be better off in another
company or if your company would be better, off without the employee you are facing a positive
situation and the financial impact may be a small sacrifice. However, if the employee is a true
asset to your company it may be worth your time to try to sway him or her to rethink their decision
to leave.
The true cost of employee turnover can only be determined by weighing all the facts and looking
at how it impacts your organization. You need to look at all the factors, monetary as well as
organizationally to determine if the outcome was negative or positive.

Professor Ryan Sharp Abstract
In this paper I will discuss the typical profiling of sex offenders and how one cannot simply
point them out in a crowd. I will discuss why sex offenders do not stand out from normal people.
I will discuss a little bit of why these people do the things they do and what kind of cure there is
for these crimes, if any. It is important to know why we cannot assume one is bad news, such as a
sex offender and to find out for sure. The true meaning of you cannot judge a book by its cover
will be revealed in this paper with many examples.
Society and policy makers have long struggled with finding effective ways to protect the public
from sex offenders. A sex offender is a person who has been convicted of certain sex offense crimes.
Examples of sex offenses include:
Sexual conduct with a minor
Sexual assault
Sexual assault of spouse
Molestation of a child
Continuous sexual abuse of a child
Infamous crimes against nature
Lewd and lascivious acts
Indecent exposure/Public sexual indecenct
Taking a child for the purpose of prostitution
Sexual exploitation of a minor
Incest
Kidnapping
Aggravated assault
Murder
Unlawful imprisonment
Burglary (when the offense includes evidence of sexual motivation) (FindLaw, n.d.)

Skills And Ethics Of Human Services Course
In my CEPD 3200: Skills and Ethics in Human Services course, I had to complete three hours of
service learning in a facility of my choice. For my Service Learning Project, I volunteered at
Southern Hills Christian Church, a local church that my family attends. Southern Hills
Christian Church has a church service for children in Kindergarten 3rd grade called All Stars ,
which is where I completed my service learning hours. I chose to complete my hours at the
church in the children s department because I have an interest in wanting to work with children
as a career. Also, I am an active volunteer at my church, so I did not need to go through any
background checks, paperwork, etc. The following is what I did while completing my service
learning hours, what I learned, and how I can apply this into the real world. The All Stars
children service at Southern Hills Christian Church runs for three different services on Sunday
mornings, and one service on Wednesday nights. I attended two separate Sunday morning
services and one Wednesday night service. The two Sunday morning services that I attended
were each on a different Sunday. Before each service begins, there is a game rom that the
children who attend service can play in while they are waiting for service to commence, as some
come early before the service starts. Since I came early, I used this time to interact with the
children, such as asking how their day was going, playing games with the children, etc. As a

The Seven Wonders Of The City Of Ephesus
City of Ephesus
The city was colonized in the eleventh century B.C. by the Athenians. In subsequent generations it
was conquered by the Persians, the Macedonians, and the Romans. Destroyed by fire in 356
B.C., it was immediately rebuilt because of the pride of its inhabitants and the importance of its
strategic location. Located on the banks of the Cayster, it was both the chief port and capital of
the province of Asia. In New Testament time it was famous as a political, commercial, and
religious center. It boasted a twenty five thousand seat theatre, a race course, and the temple of
Diana, known as one of the seven wonders of the ancient world.
Both the city and its province attracted a large number of the diaspora Jews (Acts 2:9; 6:9;
19:8.10) who were very zealous and prejudiced about racial and religiously differences. These
were Jews who caused the Jerusalem Jew to riot against Paul in the temple (Acts 21:27 32).

The Impact Of The Opium War
The Opium War was a war between the United Kingdom and Imperial China. Smoking opium for
the stimulating impacts is not noted in China until the eighteenth century, but rather likely started at
some point before. The Chinese Imperial Government in the mid eighteenth century turned out to
be progressively concerned with the spreading dependence on opium and its crippling impact. The
Imperial Government disallowed the offer of opium blended with tobacco and banned opium
smoking houses (1729). The Government classed offering opium for smoking was classed with

Prior to the Opium wars China had begun to build up a urban business economy, however once the
wars started, China was presented rashly to western commercial enterprises. China couldn t contend

Firework Cremains
After choosing cremation, you ll have some specific questions about how it will be carried out.
One that you ll eventually come to is what to do with the ashes afterward.
Those of you who are more traditional may think that s a no brainer. You may choose one of the
more conventional ways, such as burial or keeping them in a vase type urn, which are two of the
most chosen methods.
Then there are those of you who are more unconventional and would like to do something that s a

and some you might even find a little creepy.

Life And Death By Woody Allen
Have you ever thought about what you will see after death? In Christianity, people believe in
going to heaven or hell after death. In Buddhism, people believe in transmigration, which allows
our souls go to another body without our memory. I do not believe in any religion, so I have no
idea where we will go after death. However, no matter where will we go, I bet most people will
regret something in their lives before they die. For example, we did not treasure the time with
friends and family, try to finish some unachievable task or pursue our dream. In Death Knocks ,
Woody Allendistributes a different perspective on life and death, which makes me think deeply
about life and death. The main character, Nat, is living as an old dress manufacturer in Brooklyn.
One day, Death comes to find him and tell him Nat is dead. Nat does not believe that until he
sees Death is almost break his neck climbing in the bedroom window. Unlike Death in a movie
or religion, Allen gives us a new perspective on Death s outlook. Death might look exactly same
as us and we can talk, argue or negotiate with the Death, such as Nat requested Nat: Give me
some time. Another day (Allen, P.1282). I have never thought about what Death looks like since
I am a teenager and Death seems so far away from us. But when I am getting older, I will start to
realize that Death is popping up in my life. Some strangers in my life disappear. Although I do not
want to admit it, everyone will dead and that is the cycle

Similarities Between Populist And Progressive Movements
Populist and Progressive Reform in American History Throughout American history, reform was
common among people of a particular, race, gender, or class used to accomplish change. The
emergence of the populist and progressive movements were a response to the changing climate in
American society due to rapid industrialization, an ethnically diverse personality of a young nation,
and birth of American imperialism. Disgruntled American farmers that wished to advance their
economic position initiated the Populist movement. Progressives pushed to improve urban labor
conditions, dismantle trusts and monopolies, conserve of environment, and to install an active
government. Populism and Progressivism had many similarities and differences, which... Show

Discontented farmers, despite their passion, lacked the numbers to make a national impact. They
accomplished many of their goals, though most were not recognized as populist achievements.
Ultimately, class played a primary role in the apparent failure of the populists in comparison to the
success of the progressives. Despite the brevity of its existence, the Populist movement exercised a
profound influence on subsequent U.S. political life. Almost all the Populist demands, which at one
time were widely viewed as radical and contradictory to America s free enterprise system, were
eventually enacted into law. The Progressive Movement was an outgrowth of previous reform eras,
including the ideas first presented by the Populists. While many Progressives were originally anti
Populists, they eventually came to believe that the large corporations and other monopolies that
they were trying to reform were similar to the farmer s revolts against the railroads and commercial
practices and regulations of the government. As a continuation of populist ideology, the progressive
movement accomplished a great feat with the passing of the Interstate Commerce Act and the
Sherman Antitrust Act. The Interstate Commerce Act of 1887 created the Interstate Commerce
Commission, the first true federal regulatory agency, to control the issues of railroad abuse and
discrimination. Railroad companies were required to have and publish reasonable

Why Is Vegetarianism Wrong
Vegetarianism: Because Killing Plants is OK How could a seven year old possibly make a
difference? How could a seven year old possibly make a decision for herself? How could a seven
year old survive without enough protein? These were a few of many ignorant questions that
bombarded the ears of my proud parents. Throughout my young life, I always had a deep
appreciation and passion for living creatures. So much so, that ants, crawling along the sidewalk
would captivate my attention; snakes, slithering through the sludgy, green creek water would
fascinate me. Due to my intense love of animals, the thought of harming them deeply saddened
me. At the young age of seven years old, I became a self proclaimed tree hugger, peace lover and
no meateater whom by the way, did receive enough protein. As a young child, I became a
vegetarian due to one single, overwhelming reason: animals and I are the same. We breathe the
same air, we walk among the same ground, we have complex and very real feelings and we have
families. I realized this whilst spending an afternoon in my favorite creek spot in my hometown. I

being a vegetarian is much more than what I eat, or rather, don t eat. It is what I believe in. I
believe that animals are similar to humans in such a tremendous way, that harming an animal is
equivalent to the harm of a human. This belief, engraved in my core, leads my way as a religion

The Idea Of Class Struggle In Hamlet By William Shakespeare
Throughout history, class division has always been a big issue. Many works today, display
social inequality; however to realize it, one has to look through the right lens. Literary critical
lenses help to see a work from a different angle which leads to a better analysis of the
composition. There are many different lenses and aspects in literature, and one of them is the
Marxist Theory. Also known as the Conflict Theory, this idea claims that class struggle is a big
divider in society. Although originally associated with culture and civilizations, this concept also
applies to literature. In his play Hamlet, William Shakespeare clearly demonstrates the idea of class
struggles; looking at this composition through the lens of the Marxist Theory, one uncovers that the
powerful ones suppress and manipulates the others in an attempt to display their superiority. The
Marxist Theory is the idea of the German philosopher, Karl Marx. Society is basically divided into
three different classes: the Aristocracy, the Bourgeoisie, and the Proletariat. The Aristocracy is the
royalties, they have control over everything and everyone; they will do anything to keep their rank
and power. The Bourgeois have control over the economy and the workers. They set the trends and
sometimes manipulate beliefs and laws for their benefits. These people are extremely wealthy and
aspire to become even more affluent; which leaves very little for the Proletariat. At the very bottom
of the hierarchy is the

The History And Culture Of English Literature
The history and culture of English literature are profound in the literary writings from the
beginning of the Periods of Old English, Middle English, Elizabethan, Romantic, and the
Modern. All of these periods are named purposely by intellectual, political movements, historical
events, and artistic styles that are evident in the literary writings during their respective
timeframes. As an example, it is during the Old English Period (Anglo Saxon) where the
English language is born. The epic poem Beowulf is for certain the most influential literary
work of this period and possess national epic status in England. The poem Beowulf draws on
Christianity to change the pre conversion myth by elucidating the many things that cannot be
explained by science or the laws of nature, including things characteristic of or relating to ghosts,
gods, or things beyond nature, turning into a lesson on faith. Adversely, it is the Middle English
period where the influence of Norman language (drawn from the French Romance language),
culture and literature take shape. This period starts with the Norman invasion in 1066, where we
learn of a woman in the federal aristocracy, marriage viewed as a political act and the
introduction of courtly love. It is mysticism and magic that plays a role in the analysis of ideas
and stories of the Catholic belief during the Middle English Period which is evident in the literary
works of Beowulf and Sir Gawain and the Green Knight. A historically

Beetroot Juice Supplementation Experiment
The goal of this experiment was to determine whether or not beetroot juice supplementation could
impact performance of elite track athletes. It has already been shown that nitrate supplementation
can increase whole body exercise economy by increasing steady state VO2, however, this effect
had been relatively diminished when the treatment was administered to elite level athletes. This is
because elite trained athletes have higher plasma NO2 levels than ordinary individuals, therefore
the difference between their natural level and their peak tolerance for NO2 is a lesser range,
resulting is less room for supplementation. Finally, trained athletes have higher capillary densities,
which may decrease the reliance on the production of NO from NO3 during exercise, as well as

The Irreverence Of Impressionism In Modern Art

Columbus And Colonialism
During the period of 1760 s to early 1900, due to the Europeans flourishing and growing

cultures reflected intellectual changes, there is a noticeable shift of characteristics, and complex of
superiority towards other races. The majority of historical interpretations of Columbus for
centuries has been an ideal role model and hero for bringing education to Spain, spreading religion,

major shift has occurred as historians like Zinn and others have understood his actions to be

A Reflection On Public Service
As students of Masters of Public Service degrees, it is imperative to develop a holistic and deep
understanding of what public service means. Our class discussions have shown us the ambiguity of
striking a balance between opposing forces: between intention and outcome, aid and empowerment,
intrinsic and extrinsic affirmation, and self interest and altruism. How do we balance these
perspectives, when each has its benefits and pitfalls to the success of any project? In determining
my own definitionof public service, my hope is to elucidate factors that optimize each of these
perspectives. In doing so, we can come closer to defining public service in a way that is both
operationally useful and ethically guiding. Considering course documents and class discussions, I
have defined the phrase as follows:
The public is a marginalized body unable or unexpected to monetarily repay servants for
provided goods. Service is an act that results in improved quality of life as reported by receiving
individuals. Therefore public service is defined by (1) actions resulting (2) in goods that improve
quality of life (3) as reported by marginalized recipients (4) who are unable or unexpected to
monetarily repay the servant.
By fragmenting the definition into four parts, I can address the issues of intention versus outcome,
aid versus empowerment, intrinsic versus extrinsic affirmation, and self interest versus altruism in
public service. Applying the Formula of Universal Law

Irrationality In King Lear
What defines madness? Is it a state of being that is derived from deterioration of the brain, or
perhaps, extremely foolish behavior that creates mayhem and chaos? I presume it is a
collaboration of the two, for without sane cognitively the basis for irrationality would not be
present, such is the case of King Lear. A man riddled with madness inside and out, yet through his
state of frenzy and turmoil, Lear unveils unexpected guidance, validity, and enlightenment. It seems
impossible for two opposing ideas to have subsequent logical soundness, but it is the goal for this
essay to clearly defend the paradox that exist between madness and truth. According to two different
articles, first by Jude Arnold s article, How do we judge King Lear, and second by Alexander
Truskinovsky, Literary Psychiatric Observation and Diagnosis Through the Ages: King Lear
Revisited, both authors find cause and reasoning for this underlining connection. King Lear,
illustrates a paradox of how madness illuminates the truth by demonstrating how an insane character
can find clarity in the misery of his misfortunes through his actions. Therefore, the author mirrors
this reasoning by demonstrating the consequences of Lear s lunacy and foolish behavior, as an eye
opener for elucidating the truth to him. Lear s deeds provide key insight into the subsequent
misfortunes that introduce the paradox created by Shakespeare. Tell me, my daughters...Which of

a difference between mass murderers and serial killers or are they the same. How do they choose
their victims and what are some of their characteristics? These questions and many more are
reasons why I was eager to write my paper on mass murderers and serial killers. However, the most
interesting and sought after questions are the ones that have... Show more content on

Most serial killers are white males between the ages of 25 and 35 years old with an intelligence
level of average or higher. They also tend to be married with children and have a career (Serial
1). They also seem to have a childhood past of being physically and sexually abused and are
from broken homes. As children, they often wet the bed, were infatuated with masturbation,
were cruel to animals, and liked playing with fire. Because of their childhood, they often
develop a psychopathic nature and do not know how to feel sympathy or be in a relationship
(Scott 2). Because of their insecurity, a compulsive need to feel like they are in authority
becomes a vital part of their well being, even at the cost of others lives. As Americans look back
at the past one hundred years, we stand in awe while looking at the drastic increase in crime.
However, at the same time we have a hunger for knowledge of these crimes as we search for and
interesting theory. People want to know every detail of the most brutal crimes, and moreover, how
they were committed. Angie cannon insists that this is because people want to believe that it
cannot happen to themselves. We want to know how these unspeakable acts were committed, to
convince ourselves that we are immune from the same wretched fait (Cannon 1). Lee Ross also
states a similar theory, which indicates that Every suicide is unconsciously a suicide and

China s Currency Manipulation And World Trade
China s Currency Manipulation and World Trade
Part 1 As consumers, we all live in a society where our needs and wants are the drive for our
consumption of certain goods and services. At this point elements of supply and demand are
factored into the equation: in order to supply some goods and services that are being demanded
countries rely on importing and exporting. To obtain these goods and services some form of
compensation/ incentive is needed. Conducting trade by means of barter is not very practical in
most circumstances and today s society. So we use money. Different countries use different forms
of money: the Dollar in the United States of America, the Euro in Europe, the Pound in The United
Kingdom and in China the Renminbi .What happens when countries who want to trade with each
other use different forms of money, when their units of monetary exchange are not the same?
Common sense would tell the buyer to exchange their currency to match that of the sellers, and so
they do so.
In 2013, America imported over 440,433.5 million dollars worth of goods from China but only
exported 122,016.3 million dollars. (U.S. Census Bureau Foreign Trade) If America and other
countries trade so frequently with China and rely so heavily on Chinese manufacturing, production,
and innovation, then the aspect of currency manipulation within China and its potential negative
effects on world trade is a very significant topic of importance and reason to research the subject.

The Sexual Function Of Laboratory Animals
Abstract
Castration in males may be the result of disease or injury. It is expected that after a castration
procedure, the males will lose sexual function. In this experiment there were seventeen male rats
randomly distributed into three groups; sham group (N = 5), castrated and oil group (N = 4) and
castrated and testosterone group (N = 7). The control group received a sham operation and bi daily
injections of oil to show that it was not a surgical procedure or bi daily injections that caused the
lowered production of testosterone. As expected sexual function was able to be restored in the
castrated males by giving bi daily supplementation of testosterone hormone at the same rate that
testicles would normally produce this hormone. The castrated males that did not receive the
testosterone injections but had received the bi daily injections of oil, did not have successful
restoration of their sexual function. Studying sexual function in laboratory animals is important to
be able to develop ways to supplement hormones in humans and to restore sexual function in those
who have suffered an injury or disease that resulted in a castration procedure. Introduction
Sexual function is dependent on the testosterone levels produced by the interstitial cells of the
testicle. The role of testosterone deficiency in sexual function can be directly linked to diseases of
reproductive organs, injury, certain medications and aging factors. Males and females face this
problem more

  • 2. Advantages And Disadvantages Of Materials 2.2 Advantages and disadvantages these materials There are several advantages and disadvantages of the materials that have been discussed above. Natural fibers normally are renewable resource so that their cost is relatively low as compared with other synthetic fibers. With the consideration of environmental consciousness, natural fibers are biodegradable so as they can alleviate the problem of massive solid wastes produced and relief the pressure of landfills if they are used for replacing other non degradable materials for product development. Besides, according to their inherent properties, natural fibers are flexible for processing due to their less susceptible to machine tool damage and health hazards during the manufacturing and etc. Moreover, natural fibers possess many advantages characteristics such as desirable fiber aspect ratio, low density and relatively high tensile and flexural moduli [11]. These are attractive to us because they are low density, biodegradable, recyclable, carbon dioxide neutral, non abrasive, low cost and widely available products, although they also have some properties that restrict their application in aircraft, said Airbus Research Technology (R T) senior vice president, Axel Krein [11].... I.MAJOR FACTORS THAT LED TO THE ENACTMENT OF CLINICAL ESTABLISHEMNT ACT As a fact the for profit private sector accounts for a considerable proportion of health care in India i.e50% of inpatient care and 60 70% of outpatient care, but till the enactment of the Act received relatively less attention from the policy makers. Thus the private sector health care delivery system in India has remained largely fragmented and hysterical, and there is a clear evidence of grave quality of care deficiencies in many practices. Difficulties range from inadequate and inappropriate treatments, excessive use of higher technologies, and wasting of scarce resources, to serious problems of malpractice and negligence. Current policies and processes for health care were pitiful or not responsive to ensure health care services of acceptable quality and prevent negligence. There was a need to establish bodies and systems to monitor clinical and non clinical efficiency of the services offered in the public and private facilities. In India concerns about how to improve health care quality have been frequently raised by the general public and a wide variety of stakeholders, including government, professional associations, private providers and agencies financing health care. There also have been attempts to establish systems and process that would ensure quality of care by the health providers. The best mechanism for curbing the malpractices is legislation or imposition of legal restrictions or ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

These have created fears in people and led to difficulties on gaining confidence to obtain dental care. Moreover, the human mind is much related to stimuli and responses based on the causes of the stimuli. Relating these to the experiment of Pavlov on the dogs and constant stimuli occasioned by the sound of a bell that indicated a time for food, one discovers the relationship of the thought of a visit to the dentist to the effect or the pain of it. Nat does not believe that until he sees Death is almost break his neck climbing in the bedroom window. Unlike Death in a movie or religion, Allen gives us a new perspective on Death s outlook. Death might look exactly same as us and we can talk, argue or negotiate with the Death, such as Nat requested Nat: Give me some time. Another day (Allen, P.1282). I have never thought about what Death looks like since I am a teenager and Death seems so far away from us. But when I am getting older, I will start to realize that Death is popping up in my life. • 26. Similarities Between Populist And Progressive Movements Populist and Progressive Reform in American History Throughout American history, reform was common among people of a particular, race, gender, or class used to accomplish change. The emergence of the populist and progressive movements were a response to the changing climate in American society due to rapid industrialization, an ethnically diverse personality of a young nation, and birth of American imperialism. Disgruntled American farmers that wished to advance their economic position initiated the Populist movement. Discontented farmers, despite their passion, lacked the numbers to make a national impact. They accomplished many of their goals, though most were not recognized as populist achievements. Ultimately, class played a primary role in the apparent failure of the populists in comparison to the success of the progressives. Despite the brevity of its existence, the Populist movement exercised a profound influence on subsequent U.S. political life. Almost all the Populist demands, which at one time were widely viewed as radical and contradictory to America s free enterprise system, were eventually enacted into law. The Progressive Movement was an outgrowth of previous reform eras, including the ideas first presented by the Populists. While many Progressives were originally anti Populists, they eventually came to believe that the large corporations and other monopolies that they were trying to reform were similar to the farmer s revolts against the railroads and commercial practices and regulations of the government. As a continuation of populist ideology, the progressive movement accomplished a great feat with the passing of the Interstate Commerce Act and the Sherman Antitrust Act. The Interstate Commerce Act of 1887 created the Interstate Commerce Commission, the first true federal regulatory agency, to control the issues of railroad abuse and discrimination. • 27. Why Is Vegetarianism Wrong Vegetarianism: Because Killing Plants is OK How could a seven year old possibly make a difference? How could a seven year old possibly make a decision for herself? How could a seven year old survive without enough protein? These were a few of many ignorant questions that bombarded the ears of my proud parents. Throughout my young life, I always had a deep appreciation and passion for living creatures. So much so, that ants, crawling along the sidewalk would captivate my attention; snakes, slithering through the sludgy, green creek water would fascinate me. Due to my intense love of animals, the thought of harming them deeply saddened me. At the young age of seven years old, I became a self proclaimed tree hugger, peace lover and no meateater whom by the way, did receive enough protein. As a young child, I became a vegetarian due to one single, overwhelming reason: animals and I are the same. We breathe the same air, we walk among the same ground, we have complex and very real feelings and we have families. • 28. The Idea Of Class Struggle In Hamlet By William Shakespeare Throughout history, class division has always been a big issue. Many works today, display social inequality; however to realize it, one has to look through the right lens. Literary critical lenses help to see a work from a different angle which leads to a better analysis of the composition. There are many different lenses and aspects in literature, and one of them is the Marxist Theory. Also known as the Conflict Theory, this idea claims that class struggle is a big divider in society. Although originally associated with culture and civilizations, this concept also applies to literature. In his play Hamlet, William Shakespeare clearly demonstrates the idea of class struggles; looking at this composition through the lens of the Marxist Theory, one uncovers that the powerful ones suppress and manipulates the others in an attempt to display their superiority. The Marxist Theory is the idea of the German philosopher, Karl Marx. Society is basically divided into three different classes: the Aristocracy, the Bourgeoisie, and the Proletariat. The Aristocracy is the royalties, they have control over everything and everyone; they will do anything to keep their rank and power. The Bourgeois have control over the economy and the workers. They set the trends and sometimes manipulate beliefs and laws for their benefits. These people are extremely wealthy and aspire to become even more affluent; which leaves very little for the Proletariat. At the very bottom of the hierarchy is the ... The History And Culture Of English Literature The history and culture of English literature are profound in the literary writings from the beginning of the Periods of Old English, Middle English, Elizabethan, Romantic, and the Modern. All of these periods are named purposely by intellectual, political movements, historical events, and artistic styles that are evident in the literary writings during their respective timeframes. As an example, it is during the Old English Period (Anglo Saxon) where the English language is born. The epic poem Beowulf is for certain the most influential literary work of this period and possess national epic status in England. The poem Beowulf draws on Christianity to change the pre conversion myth by elucidating the many things that cannot be explained by science or the laws of nature, including things characteristic of or relating to ghosts, gods, or things beyond nature, turning into a lesson on faith. Adversely, it is the Middle English period where the influence of Norman language (drawn from the French Romance language), culture and literature take shape. This period starts with the Norman invasion in 1066, where we learn of a woman in the federal aristocracy, marriage viewed as a political act and the introduction of courtly love. It has already been shown that nitrate supplementation can increase whole body exercise economy by increasing steady state VO2, however, this effect had been relatively diminished when the treatment was administered to elite level athletes. This is because elite trained athletes have higher plasma NO2 levels than ordinary individuals, therefore the difference between their natural level and their peak tolerance for NO2 is a lesser range, resulting is less room for supplementation. Our class discussions have shown us the ambiguity of striking a balance between opposing forces: between intention and outcome, aid and empowerment, intrinsic and extrinsic affirmation, and self interest and altruism. How do we balance these perspectives, when each has its benefits and pitfalls to the success of any project? In determining my own definitionof public service, my hope is to elucidate factors that optimize each of these perspectives. In doing so, we can come closer to defining public service in a way that is both operationally useful and ethically guiding. Considering course documents and class discussions, I have defined the phrase as follows: The public is a marginalized body unable or unexpected to monetarily repay servants for provided goods. Service is an act that results in improved quality of life as reported by receiving individuals. Therefore public service is defined by (1) actions resulting (2) in goods that improve quality of life (3) as reported by marginalized recipients (4) who are unable or unexpected to monetarily repay the servant. By fragmenting the definition into four parts, I can address the issues of intention versus outcome, aid versus empowerment, intrinsic versus extrinsic affirmation, and self interest versus altruism in public service. I presume it is a collaboration of the two, for without sane cognitively the basis for irrationality would not be present, such is the case of King Lear. A man riddled with madness inside and out, yet through his state of frenzy and turmoil, Lear unveils unexpected guidance, validity, and enlightenment. It seems impossible for two opposing ideas to have subsequent logical soundness, but it is the goal for this essay to clearly defend the paradox that exist between madness and truth. According to two different articles, first by Jude Arnold s article, How do we judge King Lear, and second by Alexander Truskinovsky, Literary Psychiatric Observation and Diagnosis Through the Ages: King Lear Revisited, both authors find cause and reasoning for this underlining connection. King Lear, illustrates a paradox of how madness illuminates the truth by demonstrating how an insane character can find clarity in the misery of his misfortunes through his actions. Therefore, the author mirrors this reasoning by demonstrating the consequences of Lear s lunacy and foolish behavior, as an eye opener for elucidating the truth to him. China s Currency Manipulation And World Trade China s Currency Manipulation and World Trade Part 1 As consumers, we all live in a society where our needs and wants are the drive for our consumption of certain goods and services. At this point elements of supply and demand are factored into the equation: in order to supply some goods and services that are being demanded countries rely on importing and exporting. To obtain these goods and services some form of compensation/ incentive is needed. Conducting trade by means of barter is not very practical in most circumstances and today s society. So we use money. It is expected that after a castration procedure, the males will lose sexual function. In this experiment there were seventeen male rats randomly distributed into three groups; sham group (N = 5), castrated and oil group (N = 4) and castrated and testosterone group (N = 7). The control group received a sham operation and bi daily injections of oil to show that it was not a surgical procedure or bi daily injections that caused the lowered production of testosterone. As expected sexual function was able to be restored in the castrated males by giving bi daily supplementation of testosterone hormone at the same rate that testicles would normally produce this hormone. The castrated males that did not receive the testosterone injections but had received the bi daily injections of oil, did not have successful restoration of their sexual function. Studying sexual function in laboratory animals is important to be able to develop ways to supplement hormones in humans and to restore sexual function in those who have suffered an injury or disease that resulted in a castration procedure.
