Expert evidence is a testimony given by expert witnesses. An expert witness is
therefore a person who is allowed to give their opinion in a court of law because of
their knowledge or skill in a particular subject. They are providing the court with
statement of opinion on any matter calling for their expertise.
There are no specific rules as to who may testify as an expert. Expert witness,
however, must have a sufficient knowledge and practical experience before placing
their evidence in the court. The experts must acquire their expertise in the relevant
field by education, training or experience.
It is up to the judge, nonetheless, to decide whether a person is qualified to testify as
an expert and the courts require an expert witness to be of the highest standard of

particular knowledge or experience in the subject under investigation.
Expert opinion evidence is admissible when it provides the court with information
which is likely to be outside the court s knowledge and experience, such as unfamiliar
kinds of machinery, documents, medical conditions or other relevant field. They are
to educate the court about matters which lie within their specialisation or to convey
relevant aspects of their knowledge, skill, or experience to the court. This is due to
the assumption that the court is unfamiliar with such area of knowledge or skill.
The experts must also offer opinion evidence which is related in their field of
expertise, or the experts have to provide an opinion which is relevant to an issue in
the case; otherwise, the opinion of the expert will be inadmissible.
The court may occasionally ask an expert to provide evidence of facts too. For

Human factors issues in flight simulation have been identified to include motion
sickness, motion cueing, and adapting fidelity issues related to flying the simulator
versus the actual aircraft. Also there is the issue with older legacy simulators that are
still in use and their limitations. It is an accepted fact that aircraft simulator design is
a balance between technology, design limitations, cost and operational effectiveness
and safe to assume that due to these limitations, the simulator will never feel or fly

walking into a real world environment. A operator would not like to train on a
simulator and have a button that is needed for checklist item situated in a different

Classic literature will always be remembered and retold over the generations as life
lessons and morals that we try to live by. These morals are often used to help
children learn these guiding values and morals. These lessons are presented to us
as fairy tales and movies or cartoons for children. We never realize or ponder, where
did that moral come from? or should I say, who originally created this fable and life
lesson that I am watching unfold in a Disney movie? A fable is short and witty
written piece and is deeply riddled with certain messages or lessons using, but not
limited to, tales of animals. Fables were for adults but through time have been
woven into everyone s childhood. Fables, ghost stories, and urban legends are
modern day fairytales or fables. Just as The Grasshopper and The Ant and Tortoise
and the Hare were spread by oral tradition, urban legends and morals are spread in
the same manner; thus creating contemporary folklore often with a moral sting in the
tail. While it s true that urban legends are still told while sipping hot chocolate and
roasting marshmallows at a campfire, others are spread through classics movies like
Walt Disneyanimation.

was born a slave but developed a real talent for fables that were used to teach truths

My grand kids are getting to the point where they love to play hide and seek. But
they really don t play it well. First, there is the issue of counting. It is difficult to be
patient enough to count to ten and there is the problem that if you don t know
2,3,4,5,6 go in the middle you get to ten really fast. And it s so fun to say Ready or

Jesus is still answering the disciples questions asked in Matthew 24:3 As he sat on
the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to him privately, saying, Tell us, when will
these things be, and what will be the sign of your coming and of the end of the age?
(Matthew 24:3, ESV) The setting is the Mount of Olives. The lessons are called the
Olivet Discourse. The longest answer Jesus gave to any line of questioning.
The first part of their question: When will these things be? relates to the
destruction of Jerusalem and the temple and is graphically described in verses 15
28. The second part of their question relates to knowing the sign of Christ s coming
and we looked at that last week in verses 29 35. And regarding the question of the
end of the age, the disciples are told they cannot know when the end of the age is in
verse 36. Only the Father knows.
