was during this year in particular that his most famous opera, Porgy and Bess, was

spells, and blackouts. Several examinations of his illness ended with negative

out of the coma, and passed away only two days later on July 11th, 1937 during an
operation to remove the tumor.
Gershwin was greatly influenced during his lifetime by several musicians. The
strongest influence on his life as a musician came during his youth from his instructor

Abstract
The project that I chose to research was the effect of Ibuprofen on the heart rate of
the daphnia. The reason that I chose to do this was because many people in society
use over the counter pain killers without really understanding any of the long term
effects of this medicine other than clearing their aches pains, and swelling. One of
the leading drugs on the market today is Ibuprofen which you may know as Motrin
or Advil. Both drugs are identical except for quantity and price, and even there it
might be the same. The organism I chose to work with is a crustacean called the

important because they act as a backbone for all living matter. Without Carbon and
Hydrogen, life would not exist. A monomer is one subunit or building block of a
larger molecule. The four types of organic molecules are carbohydrates, lipids,
proteins, and nucleic acids.
Carbohydrates have two functions which is, provides short term energy and
structure in some organisms. They have an atomic makeup of Carbon, Hydrogen,

monosaccharide which contains a single sugar. A couple examples of this would be

Timothy WebsterJr. was born on March 22, 1822, in Newhaven, Sussex County,
England, the fourth of eleven children born to Timothy and Frances Webster. Two of

The following is an essay is based on the theory of neurosis from Karen Horney, and
applied to the lead character of the movie Precious. Precious, the movie is based on
the life and times of a character, Clarisse Precious Jones, who was raised in Harlem
