City Care Pharmacy Case Study
The pharmacist is known as the drug dealer as it is a health profession that helps patients to optimize
the uses of medication. As a profession, there are ethics that ought to be practise by pharmacists.
However, do they really practise it in reality? From my observations during the visit to City Care
pharmacy , there are a few pharmacies located at the same row as City Care Pharmacy. Additionally,
most of the pharmacies are having promotion and more customers in their pharmacies. However, this
is not the case for City Care Pharmacy. After interviewing the pharmacists on duty, Edison, about the
promotion issue, he shared that the other pharmacies actually cut their margins and sell the drugs at a
cheaper price in order to attract more customers. This

Analysis Of The Movie Happy Days
When I was eighteen years old, I embarked on an adventure to get back home to Anaheim from a trip
to Chattanooga, Tennessee. My ride fell through, as did my plans. On my journey toward home I went
to Bourbon Street in New Orleans in the hope that I might be able to work with a ministry there on
that notorious street. We went out on the street after work and would stop strangers to talk with them.
We d offer to pray for them or offer help for more immediate needs such as food or a place to stay.
What an eye opening experience that was for me. Picture Richie Cunningham (Ron Howard) of
Happy Days. That was me naïve to so much of what I was exposed to over those few weeks in 1972.
Walking up and down the street, going back and forth to work and walking back to my room at the
YMCA, I would see people in all kinds of conditions. Some were partying, some were prostitutes, and
some were looking for any kind of fun. Almost anything was for sale drugs, alcohol, sex of various
kinds. I was barely making enough money to keep myself fed and still save money for a flight home. I
was young and believed that God could do anything. I was dangerous and didn t know it. There were
posters and billboards of sexy women, barely dressed in an attempt to entice the men to stop in, have a
few drinks, and watch the girls dance. As I walked home each night I kept noticing the picture of one
particular girl. Among the hundreds of banners, the one with her picture stood out to me. I prayed for

There are not too many people who are fully aware of what corporate housing really is and what it
consists of. Corporate Housing offers an alternative to hotels when the clients are planning on staying
for a couple of weeks. Our goal is to make our company memorable for every client, we need to get to
know our clients and truthfully address their needs accordingly. We will be reviewing the nature of
corporate housing, how we plan on presenting the product, what locations and demographics are ideal
for this, we will research our competitors, and finally create a marketing strategy which will consists
of our: pricing, promotion, distribution, and our sales support.

Achivers have a big commitment to both their careers and their families so it is important for us to
provide them and their family the utmost comfort. For Strivers we can offer them the more modern
package and attempt in selling them any additional items as well as place them in a upscale luxury
apartment homes, lofts or condominiums. Experiencers tend to spend a large part of their income on
fashion, socializing and entertainment we need to offer them the luxurious vacation rentals. Makers
tend to lean toward value instead of luxury this is why we can offer them the traditional package at a
lower rate versus the Modern / Contemporary package which would be at a higher rate. Survivors tend
to be more comfortable with the familiarity of the goods or services. Which is why we should be make
the units as comfortable as possible.
Consumer Behavior consists of what will Corporate Housing clients receive? What these clients
receive is the convinence of a home like setting versus the tiny uncomftrable hotel rooms. They have
the choice to dine in versus always having to dine out at a hotel with a fully equpped kitchen and they
will receive weekly maid service. Another point would be why will these services be rendered? These
services are offered to allow clients to stay a comftable and safe place. When will the services be
rendered? The client who will be in

Trial Transcript Excerpts In The Patty Hearst Trial
In the Patty Hearst Trial, it is different from others because the criminal is also the victim. The case
was on February 4,1976 and the crime was April 15, 1975, all set in southern California. The
Symbionese Army and Patricia Hearst held up a bank robbery. After, a long trial of discussing if she
was brainwashed to complete these crimes or was her choice to join the SLA which in the end she was
named guilty and sent to jail for seven years. Despite being found guilty, justice was not served
because she did not complete her original sentence of seven years.

The crime began by weeks before planning how it would go down. In the Trial Transcript Excerpts in
the Patty Hearst Trial found by Douglas Linder it describes Patty s situation before the crime. While
being in a closet for a period of time, Patricia was taken out and was told of plans to rob a bank. She
was instructed by them that she must accompany them to the bank; that she must allow herself to be
photographed by the bank camera, and in addition, that she must announce her name aloud so that
everyone would know she was participating in the holdup. After a few days of being told of the plans,
they drove to the crime scene and she was given a gun and told to stand in the central area of the bank
counter. (Linder, Trial Transcript Excerpts in the Patty Hearst Trial) Next, they took their plan and
went to Hibernia bank to where it all went down. Douglas O. Linder described the crime scene in
Patty Hearst Trial (1976). Patricia Hearst held a rifle and told people she is Tania and that they were
not kidding around. In this event, on April 15 at Hibernia Bank two people were shot one fatally.

Sarah And Lydia Research Paper
The source of Sarah and Lydia connection was they both were in need. By the world s standards their
connection didn t make sense because they were very different from one another. Sarah was disabled
and Lydia was lonely they both needed connection and friendship. As different as the two were they
came together as equal children needing the same thing. It was that pure and genuine need for
connection that grew them to become best friends.
Their friendship shaped their lives and who they would become. Through their friendship Sarah
blossomed in a person who found her place in Christ and was able to comfort others just as she had
been as well she developed the gift of exhortation and learned to pray for others. Lydia was exposed to
someone with disabilities that really added to her life but she learned to serve through their friendship.

that by giving and receiving for each other. For someone who doesn t know God is was example of

Plate Tectonics And Ocean Currents Influence Climate Change
How do Plate Tectonics and Ocean Currents Influence Climate Change?
Two of the earth s biggest structures are our oceans and continents, which sit on tectonic plates. The
interactions between tectonic plates and oceans are one big influence that can determine the earth s
climate and as a result of that can contribute to climate change.
The arrangements of the continents have a strong effect on the earth s climate. Where a continent is on
the earth can determine regional climates, such as if a location is arid, cold etc. When plates move,
they can also convert locations from one climate to another.
Movement of tectonic plates can generate many different climatic events, that can either increase or
decrease global temperatures. 1
One of the biggest tectonic events that has an effect on the earth climate is volcanic activity. As Stoker
(2007)1 states:
There is no doubt that the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Ocean currents are continuous movements of seawater that can transport cool or warm water, as well
as Carbon Dioxide. When tectonic plates move they can open and close oceanic gateways that link to
major ocean basins, controlling the global circulation of ocean currents, which can cause a shift in the
transportation of heat and salt from the equator to polar regions.
Transportation of warm water is balanced by cold water that sinks at high latitudes and moves the
currents back toward the equator. This process (Thermohaline Flow) helps to regulate global heat. Any
change in the Thermohaline Flow due to tectonic activity of any sort can affect the distribution of
precipitation, ice, temperature and vegetation on earth. 3
The ocean is crucial to heating the planet, as the majority of the sun s radiation is absorbed by the
ocean. The oceans currents help distribute that heat.

How I Learned During My Own Time
I Personally, I ve always been someone who had be interested in things such as politics, the
government, economics and so on so I really didn t know if their was much more to learn, but I was
sure as hell wrong throughout this whole course I was able to learn things that I never would ve
learned during my own time, which I usually dedicate a lot of time to my own private readings. So,
the thing that I feel I was most interesting to learn about was that most mutual funds don t even go
ahead and beat the market, even with them charging high fees to have to go ahead and pay these so
called experts to pick stocks for them. I had always been under the impression that most mutual funds
had always made money, and usually had even be able to beat the markets out and had even thought of
investing in one at a point in time during my life. When I had learned the fact that 80 90 percent of
mutual funds don t even beat the overall market, it s really a disgusting thing to learn that these people
then go around and charge commissions as high as 2 percent on most normal funds. What s even nicer
to hear (sarcasm) is that when people sign up to these funds, the company will try to hide all the fees
associated with joining such as a load fee which is charging a huge fee up front to join in with the
fund, so a person won t want to leave the fund because they ve already lost a lot of money up front.
There are a lot of other things such as hiding fees in very small print and so on so people

Under The Wave Off Kanagaw Hokusai
The art of South and East Asia provided new forms for traditional ideas. Japan is one of a multiplicity
of countries where the ideas of artists were rooted in the artistic traditions of previous eras or of other
countries. These artists would then place their own spin on the art, in regards to both subject and style.
Tradition and innovation are complementary qualities of the arts of South and East Asia, as the artists
of South and East Asia both inspired other artists and took inspiration from other artists. In the
eighteenth century in Japan, landscape painting emerged as an incredibly popular subject, coinciding
with an increase in access to inexpensive multicolor woodblock prints. Previously, landscape painting
was long regarded as a major subject of Chinese and Korean painting. Japanese landscape artists also
took inspiration from Dutch landscape engravings imported into Japan when the ruling Tokugawa
government was attempting to enforce its isolationist policy. However, Japanese printmakers
drastically transformed the compositions and coloration of these Western models of landscape
painting. Katsushika Hokusai is regarded as one of the most famous Japanese landscape artists of the
time. Under the Wave off Kanagawa ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Japanese pictorial tradition. While adopting the low horizon line typical of Western painting, the

Hip hop is known as a culture movement. Hip hop is a pleasing art form, formed by African
Americans and Latinos in the late seventies. Its formation derives from a young generation of African

writing. Before hip hop it was used as a political expression for different gangs. Now, many people
use it as a way to bring their words to life. It carries meaning and expression of thoughts and ideas. It
holds feeling and energy. It holds a strength and assortment that not just the artist can see. It carries
independence, motive and inspiration. Not everyone can understand what it beholds. It contains

Behavior Is Most Influenced by the Nurturing of Our Parents
A person s behavior is influenced by the way their parents raised them. Being nurtured by someone at
such a young age, many do not realize how much of an influence their parent was to their
development. People only understand the significance of parenting until they start tending their own
children. Parenting is more important and has a long term effect on children than what most parents
assume. It is vital for parents to realize that every action they conduct is significant in a child s
development and how content and prosperous children become in upcoming years. The most
beneficial approach to nurture children is authoritative parenting style, which has been proven to result
in the most happiest and successful children in life. Parents ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

These liberal parents are low on discipline and structure while exerting little control. They do not
make demands about their behavior nor set limits for their children to follow. Parents do not set rules,
expectations, or goals for children. Permissive parents allow children to set their own rules, schedules,
and activities. Parents of this particular parenting style believe children will learn best on their own
and would prefer to be their child s friend, buddy, and confidant than a parent. Though parents do not
set rigid rules like authoritarian parents, they are generally loving, supportive, nurturing, warm, and
accepting. The main concern is to let their child express their creativity, individuality, and happiness
(Sarac 2). Similarly, disengaged parents are rarely home for their children as they are too consumed
with work. Some families struggle financially and become disengaged from children by the sheer
economics of survival working multiple jobs (Vivo 2). There is no time for parents to develop bonds
with their child or to focus on their emotional and social lives because they are too consumed with
work. Additionally, permissive parenting style is the most damaging approach to raise children.
Children of this method turn out to be the unhappiest of all. The child is most likely to exhibit
psychological problems, such as anxiety and depression (Sarac 2). Parents are unaware that children
are less likely to develop self respect, have a low self esteem,

Wounded Warrior Leadership Challenges
The Wounded Warrior Leadership Challenges One of the most challenging assignments that I
experienced throughout my military career was working as a First Sergeant in a Warrior Transition
Unit (WTU) at Fort Hood, Texas. The central mission of the Wounded Warrior Unit is to heal, recover,
and rehabilitate Soldiers back into the Force or civilian communities as Veterans. Placement in this
environment, or this kind of unit can be rewarding, but at the same time can be very challenging.
As a First Sergeant in WTU, my responsibilities/duties included the health and welfare of Soldiers
who were placed under the Commander s authority. One question I asked myself when accepting this
change of responsibility was... how am I going to achieve the responsibilities of identifying the needs
of a Wounded Warrior without the proper training and knowledge? As a First Sergeant working for a
Warrior Transition Unit, I experienced many trials while trying to understand and learn these triads of
Care, and the Triad of Leadership techniques, followed by the challenges in dealing and understanding
each Soldier s needs.

March Of Penguins
In March of the Penguins, the author explains in a subjective point of view that it s not the fault of
another animal for needing to feed by eating the penguins. For the Penguins, they survive many harsh
winters and attacks from animals such as the Sea Lion, because of this show of strength in one of the
world s harshest of environments, the Author admires these Penguins and how they live. Ways they
show their loyalty to their home and ways they survive this hellish place are simple, yet extremely
hazardous tasks. To get back to their mating area, the first group of penguins, the males, must travel an
extremely long distance to make it back to their home and meet up with the female penguins that have

outside so each penguin gets to feel warmth that is at the center. After all of these storms, the females

chicks will not have a child to feed. For those who have survived, their child is awaiting food from the
mother. After feeding the child, they pass it back to the mother as the father is in need of food. Before
departing, the Father and Child sing to each other to remember who is who after the father returns
from feeding. As time passes, these chicks slowly grow older and get much larger, eventually losing
their baby feathers. During most of their growing up stage, they are left alone as they are old enough
to look out for themselves and that of their fellow penguins. After they are old enough, they walk out
to the waters edge that is now much closer as it is now summer time again. They jump in and resume

Jennifer Aniston Commercial Analysis
On television, there are numerous amounts of commercials that contain celebrities endorsing products
that he or she claim to use. One commercial in particular that comes mind first is the Aveeno
commercial with Jennifer Aniston (O Keefe, 2013). She has been doing the Aveeno commercials for
years now, and I still have a hard time believing she actually uses a drug store product and that the
product actually works (O Keefe, 2013). Aniston is usually promoting a face cream that gets rid of
aging spots, but it doesn t seem like she has any aging spots to begin with (O Keefe, 2013). Also, with
the amount of money she has I think she would go for a more expensive product or see a professional

Energy Gels In Sports
Nutrition is one of the most important factors in athletic performance. It provides athletes with the
energy to perform their best in practice and in games. Nutrition is important in all sports, but it is
especially relevant for endurance athletes who participate in sports such as running, swimming, and
cycling. Regular moderate intensity physical activity has significant benefits for health. For example,
it can reduce the risk of cardiovascular diseases, diabetes, colon and breast cancer, and depression
(Lee, 2005). Energy gels are a source of carbohydrates commonly used by runners. They are easy to

Loss Of Innocence In Macbeth
My image shows the flag of Scotland (setting), although I used different colors to represent my
character, Macbeth. In Macbeth, the theme loss of innocence is relevant. The cross in the middle is
white, seeing that the color represents Macbeth s innocence at the beginning of the play. At first,
Macbeth is a respected Thane, a devoted husband and a loyal subject to King Duncan, in which the
King calls him A valiant cousin and worthy gentleman, in act 1 scene 2. The first of the witches
prophecies then bring out his ambitious nature, but he struggles with the idea of killing the King.

Speech For Collapse
Speech for Collapse presentation
Jared Diamond described a lot of reasons why many civilizations such as Maya collapsed. In my
speech I included some facts from Collapse book by Jared Diamond.
A unique tradition was created by a society numbering barely 4,000 people, and sustained at its peak
for a few generations before abruptly disappearing. The U.S. southwestern societies operated on a
much smaller scale than did the Maya cities, with populations of thousands rather than millions. As a
result, Maya cities are far more extensive in area, have more lavish monuments and art, were products
of more steeply stratified societies headed by kings, and possessed writing.
In the Southwestern U.S. we are dealing with a whole series of cultures ... Show more content on

Outlier Great Houses beyond the Canyon provincial capitals of junior chiefs.

The highest concentration of luxury items located to date comes from Pueblo Bonito`s room number

The increasing population and environmental problems caused civil unrest and warfare. One of the
signs of warfare was cannibalism.
Low rainfall could make rainfall fed dryland agriculture and irrigation impossible. A drought that
lasted more then three years would have been fatal, because modern Puebloans can store corn for only
2 years after which it is too rotten or infested to eat.
During a drought in 1670s, many people starved to death, and some people killed each other. Between
800 and 1350 the population decreased from 1070 to 400 people. Conclusion:
There were human environmental impacts of several types, especially deforestation and arroyo

effects of human and environmental impacts. Anasazi groups supplied food, timber, stone, luxury and
other supporting each other in an interdependent complex society, but put the whole society at risk of

believes she is a special person. She spends her time walking and sitting in a park each Sunday in the

Each Sunday she goes and seats in the park where she spent all the afternoons. Example of her
loneliness is when the author says: Only two people share her special seat: a fine old man in a velvet

not speak. This was disappointing, for Miss Brill always looked forward to the conversation . This is

In The Late 1890S They Would Begin To Experiment With Gliders
In the late 1890s they would begin to experiment with gliders of their own. They knew they had to
master the art of controlling flight before they could invent this mechanical flyer. Much of their early
ideas with gliders would be derived from bicycles as they felt bicycles and flyers were not as different
as they seemed. The bicycle required stability and they compared it to the need for lateral balance in a
flyer. Orville thought this problem could be solved with the wings. He figured if they pilot could
control parts of the wing tips it could create force to give balance to the machine. He would create an
early sketch of it and basically is was a lever the would cause one wing to go up and the other to go
down in the opposite direction ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
They would need a place with suitable high wind speeds to keep their experimentation going. In their
hometown of southern Ohio consistent high wind speeds were uncommon to say the least. Wilbur
figured finding such a place on their own could be problematic. Wilbur would end up writing to an
expert on aviation at the time, Octave Chanute. Octave provided possible places to conduct his
experiment and other questions Wilbur had regarding their experiment. In 1900 Wilbur had decided
Kitty Hawk, North Carolina would be a perfect location with its constant high wind speeds. When
they arrived at their new testing sight they began assembling their glider from back home. Initially
they tested their glider without a pilot to make sure it was working correctly and was safe for use.
Eventually they would fly the glider as the pilot and it could sustain flight for as long as two minutes.
This seemed like a major accomplishment but was just the start of their goal. They were far from the
first to achieve flight, but their wing and elevation ideas were proved successful. Also, this gave them
much needed practice in piloting a flying machine most importantly. They would again take a break
with their experiments after this attempt and return a year later. This time they had built a second
glider but it was much larger than its predecessor. Though the size was impressive it turned out to be a
failure. They did succeed in getting it

The Story Of An Hour And The Story Of An Hour
Women are taught from a young age that marriage is the end all be all in happiness, in the short story
The Story of An Hour by Kate Chopin and the drama Poof! by Lynn Nottage, we learn that it is not
always the case. Mrs. Mallard from The Story of an Hour and Loureen from Poof! are different
characteristically, story wise, and time wise, but share a similar plight. Two women tied down to men
whom they no longer love and a life they no longer feel is theirs. Unlike widows in happy marriages
Loureen and Mrs., Mallard discover newfound freedom in their respective husband s deaths. Both
stories explore stereotypical housewives who serve their husbands with un stereotypical reactions to
their husband s deaths. Titles often give ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

China, float or not Essay
1. What are the implications of China s exchange rate policy on doing business with and against
China? Since July 21, 2005, China has adopted a managed floating rate regime based on market
supply and demand with reference to a basket of undisclosed currency. The daily trading price of the
U.S. dollar against RMB in the foreign exchange market will be allowed to float within a band of +/
0.3% around the central parity published by People s Bank of China. The signal was initially
interpreted by the international market as an indication that China would embark on a gradual shift
toward increased flexibility which eventually adopt a floating exchange rate regime where the RMB
will appreciate much against US dollar. However, they soon ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

The change in the exchange rate policy to move to a more flexible floating exchange rate system will
inevitably compromise China s current advantageous position in trading especially the export which
takes a heavy weight in China s GDP. The appreciation of RMB will deprive the Chinese enterprises
of the advantage to leverage the cheap materials and labor to compete in the international market. This
might be a positive indication for China s importers who has a focus on the domestic markets rather
than the international market, where the importers purchasing power gets enhanced if the domestic
currency appreciate. However, China is still heavily relying on export to grow their GDP at this point
and a revaluation of RMB would be very dangerous for the country. Thousands of factories counting
on exports might be closed and millions of workers would lose their jobs. As pointed out by Morgan
Stanley Economist Andy Xie in the case, China s priority is stability and currency flexibility should
not be allowed to conflict with this goal . On the flip side though, a revaluation of the RMB would not
necessarily change the current situation of US and EU who had a large trade deficit with China. The
reduced imports from China are unlikely to stimulate the growth of the domestic productions of those

The Poisonwood Bible Character Analysis
Imagine abandoning all modern day luxuries and conveniences to go to one of the least civilized
countries in the world. At the beginning of The Poisonwood Bible, Leah Price looks up to her father as
a shining example of a good, clean, Christian man. Although her sisters and mother undergo dramatic

Analysis Of The Television Show Saved By The Bell Essay
Millennials Are Determined In the television show Saved by the Bell, the character Zach Morris a
high school student failed to have enough credits to graduate high school. Zach demonstrated his
determination to make up a class in order to graduate on time with his class. A failed experience
motivates millennials to keep trying until the goal is accomplished. We use our past experiences as an
encouragement to succeed in education. Higher education opens the door to better job opportunities
for generation Y. Having a similar experience in high school includes me of this generation. Once
informed regarding low grades it motivated Zack to put more work and effort because a passing grade
is required in order to graduate. Schools educate the millennials to enter the workforce. Generation Y
is special because they are the largest group of people schooled in history, have the nature to own a

The Rescuer Schindler Research Paper
Schindler The Rescuer Schindler was a rescuer of the jews because he was not a fan of how they were
treated. When asked why he saved them he replied by saying I knew the people who worked for me.
When you know people, you have to behave towards them like human beings. Unlike the nazis and
Hitler, Oscar Schindler saw jews as normal human beings and did not use them and make them do
manual labor just to survive and not be killed. He did make them work just so the nazis did not come

Heroes evolve, they are not born. What he meant by this is that Schindler s plan at first was not to save
the jews, but he ended up saving between approximately eleven hundred and twelve hundred before
he ran because the nazis were going to come after him for saving them. At first Schindler went to the
Krakow concentration camp to make money, but since the jews were involved in that he just wanted
them for manual labor. But as time went on he started changing his ways and told them they would be
safe and fed them and even told them to make faulty bullets just so he could not be held responsible
for the death of other jews using his product.
With the question being why Schindler saved the jews he developed his ways and that s why he did it.
At first it was for money then it changed into a safe haven for the jews and he was saving them just
because they were people. With Schindler changing his ways and trying to save the jews and saving
the eleven hundred to twelve hundred jews Oscar Schindler was the only man as a christian that was
able to be buried in a jewish graveyard for what he did for them. They appreciated him and look up to

The American Dream Meaning
What is the American Dream? This is a question that has bewildered and eluded many for centuries.
For some it may be a simple and easy answer consisting of just living your life to the fullest extent.
Others look at it more theoretically and want to narrow it down to a definition. The American Dream
as they call it was first conceived when the founding fathers of America wrote the Declaration of
Independence in the 1700 s. IT was later made into an actual phrase in 1931 when James Truslow
Adams, author of the book Epic of America , coined the phrase in this same book, which detailed his
version of the American dream very explicitly.
Many authors are fond of touching up on the subject of the American Dream. One such person

A Brief Note On Crime And Violent Crime
It may be argued that the media disproportionately exposes violent crime because is more serious, but
with crime in Canada at an all time low, why is it that the media only advertises the numbers
associated with violent crime to be at an all time low and not all crime. How does online news outlets
cover the decrease in crime in relation to violent crime and non violent crime? The variables that will
be used are online news outlets stories and articles regarding the crime drop, and the reduction in
crime (violent vs non violent). The sample will consist of popular online news outlets who s articles
will be looked over in order to determine what they deem important in regards to the crime drop. It is
predicted that mainly only violent crime statistics are written about because it comes off as the most
exciting, regardless of the fact that it is less common.
It is known that crime in Canada has gone down over the last few years, and that this is or has been
advertised on just about every online news outlet in Canada. This is great! However, we still see
stories about crime in the news quite often, and this is not surprising. What is though, is that the crime
reported on the news is typically only violent crimes, regardless of the fact that crime statistics
typically indicate that only 10 percent of crime committed in Canada is actually violent. Stats Canada
(2014) indicates that there are approximately 340,000 violent crime violations (eg. homicide, sexual

Collective Behavior Of Causal Crowd
In the last five years I have gone through a lot of collective behaviors. The first one I m going to be
talking about is Causal Crowd. Every week I go to the store and I always see different people. I never
interact with them like I would if I were at work. The only way I would actually interact with someone
at the store is if I need to find out where an item is located at or someone says hi to me as an act of
kindness. A way I would get emotional at the store is if a cashier I treating somebody with disrespect

everybody was excited, throwing parties. And with everybody all happy, I became happy to. I went to
the store and bought some chips and dip. I had my own personal party because everybody else had
their own party so I said I might as well join them right. Another behavior I went through was
Conventional Crowd. It s the twenty first century and most people go out and watch movies and go to

and it wasn t the first time I went and saw her so I was happy. I was dancing to all her songs and I sing

Retention Essay
Retention is one of the key prerequisites for or outcomes of learning that can either be reinforced
positively as well as negatively or otherwise optimized with respect to how the study time is to be
distributed across sessions. Intuitively, it would appear plausible that, increasing the uninterrupted
study duration would map into superior retention and learning outcomes. The present paper critically
addresses some empirical findings that could question the unaided intuition along these lines while
shedding light on the interaction channels or trade offs to be defined across a set of additional
explanatory variables.

alternatively take prohibitively long in terms of fixed duration (which exogenous time constraint can

For that matter, massed or amassed exposure to prolonged session or a series of homogeneous study
setups at a stretch could have some equivalents that are difficult to distinguish between while possibly
concealing some critical nuances that might call for further extensions to the naïve analysis.
In particular, although the study appears to chiefly criticize as overlearning setups featuring highly
homogeneous exposures (e.g. word lists, math problems, and the like), still these might have some
crucial heterogeneity to them that renders even such seemingly unrewarding schemes effective in
enabling the learners to gain an appreciation for repetitive as well as systematic patterns. In other
words, this may cultivate a more holistic perception of the otherwise unfamiliar content (which

Honor In The Odysseus
In the Disney movie Mulan, a young heroine, Mulan, disguises herself as a man to fight for her
country and restore honor to her family. She, similar to Odysseus, must save her country from
invaders, The Huns for Mulan and the suitors for Odysseus. Both protagonists face many trials that
test their loyalty and honor. And both prevail, becoming great, respected leaders of their people. Honor
as well as loyalty are significant characteristics of a respected person. The Odyssey, written by Homer
in the eighth century BCE, is a common story with multiple retellings that focuses on the journey of
Odysseus and his son Telemachus. Odysseus is a war hero of the Trojan War, and the tale focuses on
the conflicts he faces while journeying home. In this story, Odysseus shows how honor and loyalty
play a pivotal role in defining the success of a leader, and how the absence of these traits leads to
anarchy and turmoil within a ruler s domain.
The necessity of honor and loyalty in a ruler are seen during the Odysseus absence in his kingdom of
Ithaka. During the 16th year that Odysseus is missing, suitors come from all over the land to win the
hand of Odysseus wife, Penelope, presuming Odysseus is dead. Because Odysseus is absent, the
country is having a turn for the worse with the arrival of the suitors. The suitors take over the royal
residence, [the suitors] use our house as if it were a house to plunder (Homer 9). Without a ruler

Applying care ethics to reproductive tourism appears too optimistic and simple at first glance, but
upon further investigation this approach is reviewed to be capable of yielding the most personal and
effective results when it comes to parents making their decisions to utilize this service. In comparison
to other approaches, this theory views all parties involved in the process of this assisted reproductive
service as humans with equal moral value and emotions; emotions that are ultimately responsible for
the 150% growth of the global surrogacy industry (Parks 334).Written by Jennifer Parks, the article on
care ethics defines this view as one that neither overlooks the importance of human relationships nor
the infant s right to human care (335). This perspective is also interesting in the sense that it employs
the social connection model, which is heavily discussed by Anne Donchin in her article on the same
matter. Care ethics incorporates Iris Marion Young s idea of the social model for the commissioned
parents to forge a relationship with the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Parks realizes that a care ethics perspective makes global surrogacy expensive, rendering it
undesirable from an economic point of view. This revelation is not a problem for care ethics, if it
means the surrogates are to be seen as morally equal to the infants, the commissioned parents, then
Parks has fulfilled her goal. Care is expensive, but this proves to be beneficial to this theory. In an
effort to avoid a false dichotomy, commissioned parents either have to care for their future children
and the surrogates that carry those children, or choose other means of reproductive assistance which
are as expensive. Care ethics makes it possible to illustrate that there are more than economic benefits
and abstract ethical norms that should be considered in terms of reproductive

Differences In Warfare During The Napoleonic War
To find the differences in warfare during the Napoleonic Wars that point towards total war, this
research paper will analyze two distinct battles: The Glorious First of June (1794) and The Battle of
Trafalgar (1805). Both battles took place during the Napoleonic Wars. Through these two battles, one
can see the distinct changes in warfare after 1792. In the two battles during the Napoleonic Wars, new
strategy and tactics will be detailed of which describe the significant changes in naval warfare.
The first battle worth discussing is The Glorious First of June, which took place towards the beginning
of the Napoleonic Wars. According to Nicholas Blake of the Navy Records Society: On 1st of June
1794, the French fleet consisted of twenty six ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This battle took place in 1805 and is largely considered to be one that decided the war at sea during
the Napoleonic Wars. With Lord Nelson dying in the Battle of Trafalgar, Vice Admiral Collingwood
provides a glimpse of what the British hoped to achieve in the battle: [T]he conflict was severe; the
enemy s ships were fought with a gallantry highly honourable to their officers, but the attack on them
was irresistible, and it pleased the Almighty Disposer of all Events, to grant his Majesty s arms a
complete and glorious victory. The Battle of Trafalgar followed in the footsteps of The Glorious First
of June in that they both had the end goal of achieving decisive victories that had the potential to
change the course of the war. Collingwood not only gives a sense of nationalism comparable to Lord
Howe, but he also conveys a sense of necessity or urgency to engage in conflict. An important nuance
of total war stems from the need to constantly be in battle; to always want to engage an enemy and see
the battle through to the bitter end. These arguments are further exemplified within Collingwood s
final thoughts: I fear the numbers that have fallen will be found very great, when the returns come to
me; but it having blown a gale of wind ever since the action. Even with fears of great numbers being
sacrificed in battle, the Royal Navy continued to press forward. To the British, the number sacrificed
meant little in comparison to the necessity and glory of defeating the French. Moreover, Nelson
prepared the men for battle by saying: My Noble lads, this will be a glorious day for England,
whoever lives to see it. I shan t be satisfied with twelve ships this day, as I took at the Nile. Nelson
explicitly stated his desire for an even more decisive victory than in previous battles, showing a
remarkable sense of dissatisfaction with mediocre results. Only massive wins would be counted as

Cultural and Economic Globalization
The important texts in every different time period arose from different composer s ways of thinking
and pose a lasting significance on society. These themes arise uniquely in an array of texts including
Shamus Heaney s poems Digging, Punishment and Funeral Rites , Sofia Coppola s film Lost in
translation, Eat Pray love written by Elizabeth Gilbert and in the 2011 Television series Off The Map
directed by Jenna Bans. The values explored in these texts are fundamentally linked to the religious,
philosophical, scientific and cultural paradigms of the twenty and twenty first century , are a reflection
of society and literature in that time period. These texts have formed new ideologies and different
ways of thinking in society and have ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Different ways of thinking from composers has led to a greater understanding of the meaning of
wealth. Similarly in Digging composed in 1966 Heaney exemplifies a localised definition of wealth.
Heaney values family, heritage and expertise and ignores the global paradigms. Heaney uses personal
language to depict his family is hardworking but not wealthy, symbolised by the paper cork. Despite
this however the tone of the poem remains positive and admiration is depicted in the line by God that
man could handle a spade. Imagery and onomatopoeia contribute also to Heaney s admiration for his
families work a clean rasping sound. Although throughout the poem there is a change from parochial
to a potential more global influence moving from the local to global. Refusing to limit himself to his
families career. Contrastingly in funeral Rites written in 1975 Heaney addresses the global issue of
violence, offering local solutions. Heaney alters his definition of worth in response to global violence
by valuing peace and unity. (textual detail ,add closing sentence) Religious globalisation is the spread
and increased interrelations of various religious groups, ideas, and practices and their ideas of the
meanings and values of particular spaces. Religion has not changed majorly throughout time; rather
society s perspective of religion has changed, as have their moral and

Abstract Wireless sensor networks (WSNs) is the collection of physical measurements in a
geographical area. It tracks the spatial average of the sensor measurements in a region. Since it is
highly vulnerable to sensor faults and measurement noise the average operation is not robust. In this
paper the proposed computational efficient method is used to compute a weight average of sensor
measurement. It takes consideration of sensor faults and sensor noise. WSN uses random projections
of sensor to compress data and send the compressed data to the data fusion center. The computation
efficient method uses the data fusion center for direct work with the compressed data stream. The
fusion center performed decompression at the time of computed weighted average. Thus, it reduces
the computational requirements. Hence the proposed method gives better accuracy and more efficient
for the WSN.
Keywords Wireless sensor network, compressive sensing, distributed compressive sensing, fault
tolerance, data fusion, robust averaging.

The compressive sensing consists of sampling and signal reconstruction method. The compressive

Paris Urban Planning
As the largest city in France with a 10.8 million population ( The World Factbook: France , 2017),
Paris has been ranked number four according the global power city index measured by Institute for
Urban Strategies, The Mori Memorial Foundation (2017). Moreover, as one of the most visited city in
the world (Millington, 2017), proper urban planning in Paris seems to be required in order to maintain
an appropriate balance between the large amount of tourists influx and the residents living quality.
Based on Before Sunset (Linklater, 2004), the movie conveyed several perspectives that could
potentially impact the urban planning of Paris. This paper would be analyzing the following aspects in
order to emphasize the importance of urban planning in such a megacity: the concept of city
sustainability, the mixed use concept within the city, and the importance of open space. An insight on
the relation between urban planning and vulnerability towards terrorism attack would also be
discussed.
The concept of urban sustainability stemmed from the expectation of large population influx within
the next 50 years to major cities. If no sustainable plans were implemented prior to the population
growth, the sudden increase in carbon footprint, household and transportation greenhouse gases, and
so on could potentially worsen some severe global phenomena such as climate change or extreme
weather conditions (Kammen Sunter, 2016). As a result, in major cities like Paris, the integration of

King Lear Masculinity Analysis
King Richard II and King Lear: Lacking the Title of Masculinity King Richard II and King Lear both
illustrate the various forms of how royalty can stray away from the order they are thought to portray.
While both kings do hold the vast title that grants them ultimate power, both kings use this power to
express a lack of masculinity. Although the loss of title is performed at two different parts in each play,
King Richard II and King Lear represent the lack of masculinity within their royal position through
their strong emotional drive and narcissistic tendencies that are expressed through moments of
emotional polarization. Likewise, King Richard II (Richard) and King Lear (Lear) represent their lack
of masculinity in two different forms, one form of hyper masculinity and one of vulnerability, during
the realization of losing their crown. It is often discussed that Richard and Lear can be viewed under
the same lens as they tend to perform with narcissism and emotional drive while under pressure. This
character comparison can be examined while they are unable to portray correct forms of masculinity,
therefore lacking masculinity, in one of the most masculine positions in the world. This theme can be
explored within Richard and Lear while they confess to losing their power. For example, Act 4 scene 1
in Richard II is an accurate demonstration of Richard s lack of masculinity due to the illustration of his
narcissism, emotional drive, and his vulnerability. In 4.1, Richard addresses the loss of his crown to
Bolingbroke for numerous lines. He does not fully surrender the title of the crown until he concludes
expressing his emotional baggage of despair and grievance. This long continuation is important to
note as it can be argued as an example of Richard s narcissism. This narcissism is a subset of Richard
s lack of masculinity, since narcissism entails his self concerns rather than his concerns with his royal
position. Furthermore, Richard s lack of masculinity is expressed after shattering the mirror, stating, A
brittle glory shineth in this face... / ...How soon my sorrow hath destroyed my face (4.1.A133,
4.1.A137). The drama and emotional value that is enhanced in these lines reveal Richard s
vulnerability that

Criticism In Virginia Woolf s To The Lighthouse
Virginia Woolf is held to be one of the great feminist writers of modern times. In To the Lighthouse,
we find Woolf s presentation of a family which is at war with itself, while surrounded by war in the
world. In this paper, I would attempt a psychoanalytic reading of the text, based on Freud s views. The
paper would focus on the relationship between Mr Ramsey and his son, James, from the perspective of
the Oedipus Complex. James would also be looked at separately to bring out his character from
Freudian theory of the stages of the development of the boy from boyhood to adulthood. The
lighthouse would be taken as a symbol, and be interpreted psychoanalytically. The war and its impact
on the family would be looked upon to have created certain ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

According to Freud, every male child, before the puberty stage, that is, in the third stage, which he
calls the Phallic Stage , has got affectionate feelings for his mother, and seeing the father in possession
of the mother, develops a feeling of bitterness towards his father. The little ego of the boy makes him
see his father as a stronger force, which is there where it wants to be beside the mother. In Freud s
words, A single idea of general value dawned on me. I have found, in my own case too, [the
phenomenon of] being in love with my mother and jealous of my father, and now I consider it a
universal event in early childhood, even if not so early in children who have been made hysterical....If
this is so, we can understand the gripping power of Oedipus Rex, in spite of all the objections that
reason raises against the presupposition of fate; and we can understand why the later drama of fate
was bound to fail so miserably (Masson 271 272). James has got lots of bitter feelings for his father,
for he feels he always hinders him. It is the mother who treats him with affection, and he, as per the
boy suffering from the Oedipus Complex, turns towards the mother for

Essay on Qr Codes and Nursing
Originally invented in 1994, by the Denso Wave Corporation in Japan, Quick response codes, or QR
codes were intended to for the auto manufacturer Toyota as a means to track vehicles, as well as
vehicle parts, during the manufacturing production stages of building their cars. The QR codes were
designed to allow Toyota manufactures to identify parts by scanning a two dimensional barcode, or,
QR code at high speed. Since its inception in 1994 QR codes have become one of the most popular
types of barcode used in Japan. Used primarily through Smart phones, this technology quickly allows
consumers to access information contained in the QR code. In recent years the QR barcodes have

In many cases this is critical with regards to saving someone s life. Having access to their medical
history, and or current medications could be critical in an emergency situation, when time is of the
essence.
In the medical field, this has become known as BCMA, which is bar code assisted medication
administration. BCMA technology is being used as an aid to combat medication administration errors,
improve patient safety and provide more accurate medication administration documentation. Not only
is this technology being used in the United States, however, this technology is also used in European
countries including Denmark, Italy and the Netherlands (Hassink, Jansen, Helmons, 2012). There have
been many studies conducted over the years to conclude whether or not BCMA technology is
advantageous to the medical field, including hospitals, doctors, nurses, and pharmacists . Research has
concluded, that there are both advantages and disadvantages when implementing BCMA technology,
as well as contrasting information when it comes down to whether or not the BCMA technology is
actually reducing errors in medicine administration. Although, the studies have concluded that there
are many issues with BCMA technology, none indicate that BCMA technology is failing to prevent

Oppression In Ireland
War, oppression, and massacres. All three took place in English led Ireland during the Victorian Era,
and all three were caused by a few differences in beliefs on how to worship the same God. Mainly due
to the evangelization of St. Patrick, the Irish people were devoutly Catholic while their English rulers
followed a Protestant Church called the Anglican Church of England. Since the Anglican Church was
so dominant in England, the Irish Catholics received very poor treatment from the Protestants in
England causing things like the Irish Potato Famine and the Bloody Sunday and Bloody Friday
massacres. However, the Irish people were by no means silent under this oppression, leading to many
rebellions. Due to the dominance of Protestantism in England ... Show more content on

The Irish English combat was one of the bloodiest religious wars of all time and led to many deaths.
To make things worse, all of these battles stemmed from a few different beliefs on how to worship the
same God. This led to England ignoring the Irish when they were in trouble and killing them when
they fought back. However, all of this acrimony is not distinct to Victorian England; rather, religious
hostility is a common occurrence that extends its reaches into the modern world and always leads to
war torn areas of the world like the Middle East. England s relationship with Ireland shows a prevalent
historical theme of how religious nationalism leads to conflicts that always draw

Additional innovations by Apple continued in 2007 with the introduction of music sales on iTunes
without digital rights management (DRM), which allowed consumers to play music on third party
players. Later that same year, Apple became the third largest mobile handset supplier in the world
thanks to the iPhone (Chen, 2008).
On January 14, 2009, Jobs announced a six month leave of absence because of health issues (Zaleski,
2009). His health had become a distraction for himself, his family and Apple. Jobs stated, in addition,
during the past week I have learned that my health related issues are more complex than I originally
thought (Ostrow, 14). During this time many speculated that the company would do poorly without
him, yet Apple was still able to record its best non holiday quarter ever (Mahmood, 2007). Apple
opened the year 2010 with the announcement of a new product, the iPad, a large touch screen tablet
computer. Once Apple released iPad on April 3, 2010, the iPad sold more than 300,000 units and by
the end of the first week, sales reached 500,000. In May, Apple s market cap exceeded Microsoft s for
the first time since 1989 (Mahmood, 2007). Following the iPad, Apple released the fourth generation
iPhone, along with the second generation of iPods. By late 2010, Apple shares hit an all time high of
$300 and finished the year with the unveiling of the latest installment of its

  • 7. Plate Tectonics And Ocean Currents Influence Climate Change How do Plate Tectonics and Ocean Currents Influence Climate Change? Two of the earth s biggest structures are our oceans and continents, which sit on tectonic plates. The interactions between tectonic plates and oceans are one big influence that can determine the earth s climate and as a result of that can contribute to climate change. The arrangements of the continents have a strong effect on the earth s climate. Where a continent is on the earth can determine regional climates, such as if a location is arid, cold etc. When plates move, they can also convert locations from one climate to another. Movement of tectonic plates can generate many different climatic events, that can either increase or decrease global temperatures. 1 One of the biggest tectonic events that has an effect on the earth climate is volcanic activity. Ocean currents are continuous movements of seawater that can transport cool or warm water, as well as Carbon Dioxide. When tectonic plates move they can open and close oceanic gateways that link to major ocean basins, controlling the global circulation of ocean currents, which can cause a shift in the transportation of heat and salt from the equator to polar regions. Transportation of warm water is balanced by cold water that sinks at high latitudes and moves the currents back toward the equator. This process (Thermohaline Flow) helps to regulate global heat. Any change in the Thermohaline Flow due to tectonic activity of any sort can affect the distribution of precipitation, ice, temperature and vegetation on earth. 3 The ocean is crucial to heating the planet, as the majority of the sun s radiation is absorbed by the ocean. What s even nicer to hear (sarcasm) is that when people sign up to these funds, the company will try to hide all the fees associated with joining such as a load fee which is charging a huge fee up front to join in with the fund, so a person won t want to leave the fund because they ve already lost a lot of money up front. Japan is one of a multiplicity of countries where the ideas of artists were rooted in the artistic traditions of previous eras or of other countries. In the eighteenth century in Japan, landscape painting emerged as an incredibly popular subject, coinciding with an increase in access to inexpensive multicolor woodblock prints. Previously, landscape painting was long regarded as a major subject of Chinese and Korean painting. Since Worth s (2014) examination of nonprofit characteristics reveals that one factor of a private non government agencies organization is the allocation, pursuit, and fund raising of resources, these findings thus demonstrate that the Atlanta Police Foundation is a private organization not a state government entity (Atlanta Police Foundation, 2017; Worth, 2014). For example, Private sector support is...critical...[for]...APF s resources [and for APF to] continue to offer the leadership and advocacy, [and] to improve efficiencies within the department and spearhead [organizational services] (Atlanta Police Foundation, 2010a, p. 2). They knew they had to master the art of controlling flight before they could invent this mechanical flyer. Much of their early ideas with gliders would be derived from bicycles as they felt bicycles and flyers were not as different as they seemed. The bicycle required stability and they compared it to the need for lateral balance in a flyer. Orville thought this problem could be solved with the wings. He figured if they pilot could control parts of the wing tips it could create force to give balance to the machine. He would create an early sketch of it and basically is was a lever the would cause one wing to go up and the other to go down in the opposite direction ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... They would need a place with suitable high wind speeds to keep their experimentation going. In their hometown of southern Ohio consistent high wind speeds were uncommon to say the least. Wilbur figured finding such a place on their own could be problematic. Wilbur would end up writing to an expert on aviation at the time, Octave Chanute. Octave provided possible places to conduct his experiment and other questions Wilbur had regarding their experiment. In 1900 Wilbur had decided Kitty Hawk, North Carolina would be a perfect location with its constant high wind speeds. When they arrived at their new testing sight they began assembling their glider from back home. Initially they tested their glider without a pilot to make sure it was working correctly and was safe for use. Eventually they would fly the glider as the pilot and it could sustain flight for as long as two minutes. This seemed like a major accomplishment but was just the start of their goal. They were far from the first to achieve flight, but their wing and elevation ideas were proved successful. Also, this gave them much needed practice in piloting a flying machine most importantly. They would again take a break with their experiments after this attempt and return a year later. This time they had built a second glider but it was much larger than its predecessor. Though the size was impressive it turned out to be a failure. They did succeed in getting it ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Since July 21, 2005, China has adopted a managed floating rate regime based on market supply and demand with reference to a basket of undisclosed currency. The daily trading price of the U.S. dollar against RMB in the foreign exchange market will be allowed to float within a band of +/ 0.3% around the central parity published by People s Bank of China. The change in the exchange rate policy to move to a more flexible floating exchange rate system will inevitably compromise China s current advantageous position in trading especially the export which takes a heavy weight in China s GDP. The appreciation of RMB will deprive the Chinese enterprises of the advantage to leverage the cheap materials and labor to compete in the international market. This might be a positive indication for China s importers who has a focus on the domestic markets rather than the international market, where the importers purchasing power gets enhanced if the domestic currency appreciate. However, China is still heavily relying on export to grow their GDP at this point and a revaluation of RMB would be very dangerous for the country. Thousands of factories counting on exports might be closed and millions of workers would lose their jobs. As pointed out by Morgan Stanley Economist Andy Xie in the case, China s priority is stability and currency flexibility should not be allowed to conflict with this goal . On the flip side though, a revaluation of the RMB would not necessarily change the current situation of US and EU who had a large trade deficit with China. She, similar to Odysseus, must save her country from invaders, The Huns for Mulan and the suitors for Odysseus. Both protagonists face many trials that test their loyalty and honor. And both prevail, becoming great, respected leaders of their people. Honor as well as loyalty are significant characteristics of a respected person. The Odyssey, written by Homer in the eighth century BCE, is a common story with multiple retellings that focuses on the journey of Odysseus and his son Telemachus. Odysseus is a war hero of the Trojan War, and the tale focuses on the conflicts he faces while journeying home. The necessity of honor and loyalty in a ruler are seen during the Odysseus absence in his kingdom of Ithaka. The Battle of Trafalgar followed in the footsteps of The Glorious First of June in that they both had the end goal of achieving decisive victories that had the potential to change the course of the war. An important nuance of total war stems from the need to constantly be in battle; to always want to engage an enemy and see the battle through to the bitter end. These arguments are further exemplified within Collingwood s final thoughts: I fear the numbers that have fallen will be found very great, when the returns come to me; but it having blown a gale of wind ever since the action. Even with fears of great numbers being sacrificed in battle, the Royal Navy continued to press forward. To the British, the number sacrificed meant little in comparison to the necessity and glory of defeating the French. Moreover, Nelson prepared the men for battle by saying: My Noble lads, this will be a glorious day for England, whoever lives to see it. I shan t be satisfied with twelve ships this day, as I took at the Nile. Nelson explicitly stated his desire for an even more decisive victory than in previous battles, showing a remarkable sense of dissatisfaction with mediocre results. Only massive wins would be counted as ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 44. Cultural and Economic Globalization The important texts in every different time period arose from different composer s ways of thinking and pose a lasting significance on society. These themes arise uniquely in an array of texts including Shamus Heaney s poems Digging, Punishment and Funeral Rites , Sofia Coppola s film Lost in translation, Eat Pray love written by Elizabeth Gilbert and in the 2011 Television series Off The Map directed by Jenna Bans. The values explored in these texts are fundamentally linked to the religious, philosophical, scientific and cultural paradigms of the twenty and twenty first century , are a reflection of society and literature in that time period. Different ways of thinking from composers has led to a greater understanding of the meaning of wealth. Similarly in Digging composed in 1966 Heaney exemplifies a localised definition of wealth. Heaney values family, heritage and expertise and ignores the global paradigms. Heaney uses personal language to depict his family is hardworking but not wealthy, symbolised by the paper cork. Despite this however the tone of the poem remains positive and admiration is depicted in the line by God that man could handle a spade. Imagery and onomatopoeia contribute also to Heaney s admiration for his families work a clean rasping sound. Although throughout the poem there is a change from parochial to a potential more global influence moving from the local to global. Refusing to limit himself to his families career. Contrastingly in funeral Rites written in 1975 Heaney addresses the global issue of violence, offering local solutions. Heaney alters his definition of worth in response to global violence by valuing peace and unity. Estimation of Robust Standard by using Compression Sensing Data in Wireless Sensor Network Brindha.M1and Prabaharan.P2 1Department of CSE, Vivekanandha College of Engineering for Women, brindhadass90@gmailcom 2Department of CSE, Vivekanandha College of Engineering for Women, kpra8897 @gmail.com Abstract Wireless sensor networks (WSNs) is the collection of physical measurements in a geographical area. It tracks the spatial average of the sensor measurements in a region. Since it is highly vulnerable to sensor faults and measurement noise the average operation is not robust. In this paper the proposed computational efficient method is used to compute a weight average of sensor measurement. It takes consideration of sensor faults and sensor noise. WSN uses random projections of sensor to compress data and send the compressed data to the data fusion center. The computation efficient method uses the data fusion center for direct work with the compressed data stream. The fusion center performed decompression at the time of computed weighted average. Thus, it reduces the computational requirements. Hence the proposed method gives better accuracy and more efficient for the WSN. Keywords Wireless sensor network, compressive sensing, distributed compressive sensing, fault tolerance, data fusion, robust averaging. INTRODUCTION The compressive sensing consists of sampling and signal reconstruction method. The compressive sensing uses unknown signal ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 46. Paris Urban Planning As the largest city in France with a 10.8 million population ( The World Factbook: France , 2017), Paris has been ranked number four according the global power city index measured by Institute for Urban Strategies, The Mori Memorial Foundation (2017). Moreover, as one of the most visited city in the world (Millington, 2017), proper urban planning in Paris seems to be required in order to maintain an appropriate balance between the large amount of tourists influx and the residents living quality. Based on Before Sunset (Linklater, 2004), the movie conveyed several perspectives that could potentially impact the urban planning of Paris. This paper would be analyzing the following aspects in order to emphasize the importance of urban planning in such a megacity: the concept of city sustainability, the mixed use concept within the city, and the importance of open space. An insight on the relation between urban planning and vulnerability towards terrorism attack would also be discussed. The concept of urban sustainability stemmed from the expectation of large population influx within the next 50 years to major cities. If no sustainable plans were implemented prior to the population growth, the sudden increase in carbon footprint, household and transportation greenhouse gases, and so on could potentially worsen some severe global phenomena such as climate change or extreme weather conditions (Kammen Sunter, 2016). As a result, in major cities like Paris, the integration of ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 47. King Lear Masculinity Analysis King Richard II and King Lear: Lacking the Title of Masculinity King Richard II and King Lear both illustrate the various forms of how royalty can stray away from the order they are thought to portray. While both kings do hold the vast title that grants them ultimate power, both kings use this power to express a lack of masculinity. Although the loss of title is performed at two different parts in each play, King Richard II and King Lear represent the lack of masculinity within their royal position through their strong emotional drive and narcissistic tendencies that are expressed through moments of emotional polarization. Likewise, King Richard II (Richard) and King Lear (Lear) represent their lack of masculinity in two different forms, one form of hyper masculinity and one of vulnerability, during the realization of losing their crown. It is often discussed that Richard and Lear can be viewed under the same lens as they tend to perform with narcissism and emotional drive while under pressure. This character comparison can be examined while they are unable to portray correct forms of masculinity, therefore lacking masculinity, in one of the most masculine positions in the world. This theme can be explored within Richard and Lear while they confess to losing their power. For example, Act 4 scene 1 in Richard II is an accurate demonstration of Richard s lack of masculinity due to the illustration of his narcissism, emotional drive, and his vulnerability. In 4.1, Richard addresses the loss of his crown to Bolingbroke for numerous lines. He does not fully surrender the title of the crown until he concludes expressing his emotional baggage of despair and grievance. This long continuation is important to note as it can be argued as an example of Richard s narcissism. This narcissism is a subset of Richard s lack of masculinity, since narcissism entails his self concerns rather than his concerns with his royal position. Furthermore, Richard s lack of masculinity is expressed after shattering the mirror, stating, A brittle glory shineth in this face... / ...How soon my sorrow hath destroyed my face (4.1.A133, 4.1.A137). The drama and emotional value that is enhanced in these lines reveal Richard s vulnerability that ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 48. Criticism In Virginia Woolf s To The Lighthouse Virginia Woolf is held to be one of the great feminist writers of modern times. In To the Lighthouse, we find Woolf s presentation of a family which is at war with itself, while surrounded by war in the world. In this paper, I would attempt a psychoanalytic reading of the text, based on Freud s views. The paper would focus on the relationship between Mr Ramsey and his son, James, from the perspective of the Oedipus Complex. James would also be looked at separately to bring out his character from Freudian theory of the stages of the development of the boy from boyhood to adulthood. The lighthouse would be taken as a symbol, and be interpreted psychoanalytically. The war and its impact on the family would be looked upon to have created certain ... According to Freud, every male child, before the puberty stage, that is, in the third stage, which he calls the Phallic Stage , has got affectionate feelings for his mother, and seeing the father in possession of the mother, develops a feeling of bitterness towards his father. The little ego of the boy makes him see his father as a stronger force, which is there where it wants to be beside the mother. In Freud s words, A single idea of general value dawned on me. I have found, in my own case too, [the phenomenon of] being in love with my mother and jealous of my father, and now I consider it a universal event in early childhood, even if not so early in children who have been made hysterical....If this is so, we can understand the gripping power of Oedipus Rex, in spite of all the objections that reason raises against the presupposition of fate; and we can understand why the later drama of fate was bound to fail so miserably (Masson 271 272). • 50. Oppression In Ireland War, oppression, and massacres. All three took place in English led Ireland during the Victorian Era, and all three were caused by a few differences in beliefs on how to worship the same God. Mainly due to the evangelization of St. Patrick, the Irish people were devoutly Catholic while their English rulers followed a Protestant Church called the Anglican Church of England. Since the Anglican Church was so dominant in England, the Irish Catholics received very poor treatment from the Protestants in England causing things like the Irish Potato Famine and the Bloody Sunday and Bloody Friday massacres. However, the Irish people were by no means silent under this oppression, leading to many rebellions. Due to the dominance of Protestantism in England ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The Irish English combat was one of the bloodiest religious wars of all time and led to many deaths. To make things worse, all of these battles stemmed from a few different beliefs on how to worship the same God. This led to England ignoring the Irish when they were in trouble and killing them when they fought back. However, all of this acrimony is not distinct to Victorian England; rather, religious hostility is a common occurrence that extends its reaches into the modern world and always leads to war torn areas of the world like the Middle East. England s relationship with Ireland shows a prevalent historical theme of how religious nationalism leads to conflicts that always draw ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
