As a student through a number of major school shootings across the nation, including Sandy Hook in
2012 and now the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School shooting in Parkland, it is worrisome that
measures to prevent these acts of violence have not been effective. We must also remember the
numerous smaller shootings at schools and the unsafe environment that these shootings bring to

evolving by tearing down outdated buildings and erecting new structures in their places that serve to
