The Downside Of Teleporting In Star Trek
Teleportation
An Introduction to Teleporting
Beam me up, Scotty!
When Star Trek was first released in 1966, teleportation was only a dream. Now a days, people are
claiming that future generations as soon as great grandchildren will be able to teleport with ease.
There are, however, many things that Star Trek hasn t prepared fans for, and although there are many
perks to teleportation, people need to weigh in the risk factors as well. The pros may sound promising
but, the cons tremendously outweigh them.
The Downside of Teleportation
This paper could go on and on about the definition of life or crap like that, however that would be a
large waste of time and space. So, with that in mind, this paper shall continue on wayward.
First of all, by teleporting, all of the atoms in the human body would essentially deconstruct and then
reconstruct in a new place. With all of this assembling and disassembling taking place, an issue that
needs to be brought up and spoken about is whether or not there would be any mixed up body parts as
a complication. While the body is disassembling, the heart would temporarily stop beating and the
person would die . However, the person would not really die. The body would continue on with life . It
would just be ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
No more super slow text messages being sent in a group chat. Just teleport that information right over
to anyone of choosing. No telling when this will actually be possible, but it certainly does seem
worthy of trying out. The speed of light transfer of the encoded information from one photon to
another demonstrates the possibility of secure communication between a network of remotely located
quantum computers in the future.[3] This could lead to more secure networks on the governmental
level (if used properly) and maybe it could be open for the public to use in the more distant

Teleological And Deontological Analysis
One might ask, what makes an action ethical? Why some people think that product placement in
movies is a considerably ethical phenomena, while others find it unethical and unacceptable.
According to Tsalikis Fritzsche, (1989, p, 696), ethics is an inquiry into the nature and grounds of
morality where morality means moral judgments, standards, and rules of conduct (Tsalikis, Fritzsche,
1989, p, 696). In other words, ethics, which is a discipline that deals with what true and false is, is
defined as a system of determined theory or moral values (Shea, 1988). Likewise an ethical evaluation
is based on moral philosophy (Reidenbach Robin, 1990). Therefore, an ethical decision depends on
individual moral values, and the judgment of business activity is influenced by his/her moral
philosophy (Wang, 2012). ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The major difference between these two theories is that, deontological theories focus on the specific
actions or behaviours of an individual, while teleological theories focus on the consequences of those
actions or behaviours (Hunt Vitell, 1986). Both of these two streams have several sub streams,
however, the following sections will seek to examine only two of them since researchers (e.g.
Beauchamp Bowie, 1979; Murphy Laczniak, 1981) categorise major moral philosophies into the two
major types of deontology and teleology, including utilitarianism (Vitell et al., 2001). These two main
ethical systems will then be discussed in a context of product placement in order to give a theoretical
foundation for understanding the subsequent

What Is The Relationship Between Of Mice And Men
Of Mice and Men, is a world famous novel which was written by John Steinbeck back in 1937. The
novel is mainly about George and Lennie and their life. But I am not going to write about that. I am
mainly going to focus on the characters which live on the ranch in the book (Crooks, Candy, Curley
and Slim).
These are the characters which work on the ranch:
Crooks takes care of the horses on the ranch. He has quite the history with those animals, the reason
why he is called Crooks is that a horse kicked him and that left him with a crooked back.
Crooks is the only black man on the ranch, therefore he lives alone in his own place in the barn with
the animals. Candy is in a similar position to Crooks, they are both rejected by the ranch hands,

Rocks, Gems And Minerals
From the time I can remember I have been fascinated by Rocks, Gems and minerals. Over the years in
my spare time I learn about the different kinds; Where they are from, what they can be used for. Each
rock, mineral and gem has energy and many are used for meditation and healing I am going to start by
going over the three main groups of rocks; Igneous, Sedimentary and Metamorphic.
Igneous Rocks come form deep within our Earth where the magma is. Magma is made from molten
gasses and minerals. When Magma erupts from a volcano it is then called Lava. The temperature of
the lava is approximately 2100 degrees Fahrenheit. Above the ground, the lava quickly cools and
hardens into new igneous rock. The new rock forms into pumice, Granite, basalt, rhyolite and
Obsidian to name a few. Sometimes Magma doe not erupt it will cool slowly underground and create
igneous rock. Before civilization the earth was a very busy place, erupting volcanoes everywhere
formed the land we live on today. These volcanoes can still be active; North America is part of the
Cascadia which lays on the pacific plate. The pacific plate is part of what we call the ring of fire a very
active region for volcanic activity and earthquakes. One thing is for sure we are always moving with
new land being formed.
Sedimentary rocks are formed by erosion. Erosion is essentially Rocks, Gravel and soil being carried
down streams and other bodies of water. As they move. They scrape against each other and get worn
down. The

Palace At Knossos
Question Set #4: Gardner, Ch. 4
1. Cite at least three different functions that the Palace at Knossos served.
The Palace at Knossos served as a landmark with mythological implications as it was said to be the
home of King Minos and also gave rise to the important myth of Theseus. The maze like system of the
palace was used to tell the story of Theseus who slew the Minotaur while being hunted by the creature
in the Palace s labyrinth. The Palace was also used for storing goods like wine, grain, oil, and honey
which were kept in large jars in the magazine rooms. Furthermore, the palace complex served as a
government building as it had administrative and workrooms on the north and south of the east west
corridor. Interestingly, the palace may have also had an entertainment room as there is a theateresque
design with steps that may have been used as seating, although its purpose is not entirely known.

As an island civilization, the peace loving Minoans focused almost solely on trade. However, the
Mycenaeans were were concerned with warfare and advanced their civilizations through conquest, as
well as trade. This is evident in their architectures, as the high walls and narrow passages of
Mycenaean architecture appear to be more defensive than aesthetic nature. Furthermore, their home
city state was constructed upon a large mountain, aiding the defensive nature of the civilization. Also,
their art often depicts forms of warfare, The Warrior Vase and the lion hunt dagger for instance. On the
other hand, the Minoans had very open architecture, especially the Palace at Knossos. Moreover, most
of the Minoan art depicts different animals and creatures of the sea, as well as people acting to further

The Controversy And Subjective Meaning Of A Girl By Ezra...
The anthology is compiled of my favorite poems, and I purposely selected poems with controversial
and subjective meanings. Unlike other forms of literature, such as narrations, in which the meaning
and language is more direct, poetry tends to be more personal and open to interpretation. In many
cases, even the poet never clearly reveals their poem s true intent, allowing a myriad of theories to
formulate. The subjectiveness of poetry allows the audience to develop various interpretations, which
also ensures that more people are identify with them through different ways. For example, the
meaning of A Girl by Ezra Pound is still debated, and while it is mostly accepted that the poem is
based off the myth of Apollo and Daphne, there are still

Is Ralph A Good Leader Essay
What makes up a leader? In the book Lord of the Flies, whose author is William Golding, this
question wasn t well thought through before a leader was chosen. Though the main characters are only
little kids, they had a challenging choice they had to make; they had not the slightest idea that the
choice that they would make might amount to some of them losing their lives. In the Lord of the Flies,
a group of boys from an all boys school, crash landed on an inhabited island. Upon arriving on the
island, they had to choose who would be chief. Mostly everybody chose the same kid as a chief.
Though, only a handful of boys, the choir boys were loyal to their choir leader, Jack, voted him as
chief. Yet the result was the same, Ralph was chief. The reason behind why the kids nominated Ralph
chief was because he looked more appealing than jack and he seemed to know what to do. Like for
instance, the kids were bewildered when they saw that Ralph had the conch in his hands and that he
was not the man with a trumpet. Then they realized that Ralph was the man with the trumpet and
perceived that he would make a fine leader. I say overall: his honesty, his ability to ... Show more

Nicole smith writes in her article, What Ralph represents symbolically is more meaningful to the boys
at this point than his actual skills, (smith). This is true, even though the kids were not told that ralph
was supposed to symbolize leadership, order, and responsibility, they saw somehow that he was made
up of those things. This idea is supported in the novel where it says, They obeyed the summons of the
conch, partly because Ralph blew it, and he was big enough to be a link with the adult world of
authority, (Golding 59). The kids see Ralph as a natural leader. He keeps order and is organized. The
kids are satisfied that ralphs is responsible about doing his job as a proper

Odysseus And Achilles Comparison Essay
One of the earliest examples of Greek epic heroes are those by Homer, The Iliad, and The Odyssey,
both surrounding their respectful heroes Achilles and Odysseus in the Trojan/greek war. These heroes,
though both by Homer, vary greatly in how the ideas of heroism has been interpreted, though both still
relevant heroes in their time. While both are considered great heroes with vast similarities, they also
couldn t be more different. Both men have personal loses, and are tested by Gods throughout their
heroic journeys. They both have high senses of their duties as a hero, leader, and warrior. They also
have outstanding courage, bravery, and compassion.
But, Achilles is a hero who s flaws impede him and his ability to act with nobility and integrity. He is
headstrong, and his self assured hubris creates his downfalls. His rage is often driven by his pride
being hurt which forces him to be consumed by ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
His has superhuman strength, and he is virtually invulnerable (other than his heel). Achilles epithet
throughout The Iliad is The Man Breaker, Because his main identifier is his abilities in the field.
Odysseus, in comparison, is a hero not only because he is a great warrior, but also because he has
wiles and courage. He is a self disciplined, and grows when he realizes he has done wrong. His very
first epithet in The Odyssey is Polutropos, which is meant by homer in both its literal Much
wandering, and its metaphorical Turning many ways sense. The metaphorical meaning, now, would
come to mean a man who is many thinking, strategic, devious and wise. Odysseus has been considered
to be the first modern hero, because of the intellectual way in which he approaches and evaluates a
situation. Achilles never fore thinks his actions, and he will place fame over his own life. This is
shown because Achilles goes to war with the knowledge that if he fights, he will die blah bhayy

Social Movements And Its Effects Of Social Change
Social change is the significant alteration over time of behavior patterns and culture. Basically its and
change to a social process. Many sociologist are concerned with the effects of change but, you need to
look at both sides of the argument all the time. Situations like these happen all the time globally. No
society goes unchanged. Some societies may change at a slow rate but it happens and nobody notices
until we go back and look at history. The change that occurs is natural so there is no reason for
anybody to worry.
Social change has a lot to do with social movements. Social movements are groups of people trying to
change something in an established group or society. A huge social movement that happened in the
past and is still happening is women s rights. The opportunities that men get are being offered to
women, as they should be. Another movement is getting the medicine and foods needed in 3rd world
countries. Before there were no programs or people getting involved that gave us the opportunity to
help the less fortunate.
The internet has a key role on how it effects the globe. The are many negative and positive things
about it. Some negatives are that people might rely on it too much. You might always use it for GPS
then when it comes time when your GPS doesn t work or something else happens to it then how are
you going to get from point A to point B. Another problem is it s hurting the economy. Everybody is

Chlorophyll And The Concentration Of Chlorophyll
Plankton are aquatic organisms that drift throughout their environment as they posses no true motor
capabilities. Within their respective aquatic habitats plankton form the productive basis of their
ecosystem and are divided into two subcategories: zooplankton and phytoplankton, the later will be
the primary focus of this paper. Phytoplankton, as well as other photosynthetic organisms poses
pigments called chlorophyll. These pigments allow phytoplankton to convert carbon dioxide and water
to oxygen and sugar, which provides the phytoplankton with energy. Due to the fact that all
phytoplankton posses chlorophyll scientists have developed methods that use chlorophyll testing in
order to understand more about phytoplankton as a whole. Phytoplankton posses different types of
chlorophyll but scientists usually sample chlorophyll a as it is the most abundant form (YSI
Environmental, Cullen 1982, Santos 2003). Several different methods have been developed to analyze
the concentration of chlorophyll a.
One method of analyzing chlorophyll a that has been developed is through chlorophyll extraction. In
order to perform this method one must first collect a fairly large water sample (see Plankton Web
citation for surface water sampling techniques). This sample must then be filtrated in order to
concentrate the chlorophyll containing organisms (see Plankton Web for filtration methods). Finally
mechanical rupturing of the collected cells, and extraction of the chlorophyll from the

Privacy And Freedom From Government Intrusion
Although people in the United States are entitled to privacy and freedom from government intrusion,
there is a limit to that privacy. State or federal police officers are allowed, where justified, to search
your premises, car, or other property in order to look for and seize illegal items, stolen goods or
evidence of a crime. There are certain rules that the police must follow when engaging in searches and
seizures (FindLaw, 2014). Not every search, seizure, or arrest must be made pursuant to a lawfully
executed warrant. The Supreme Court has ruled that warrantless police conduct may comply with the
Fourth Amendment so long as it is reasonable under the circumstances (FindLaw, 2014). First, this
paper explains what the Fourth Amendment of the Bill of Rights means. Second, this paper gives
examples of court cases concerning search and seizure of vehicles and the Fourth Amendment. Third,
this paper examines the Richmond VA 2nd Precinct Police Departments policies, procedures, and
practice of conducting vehicle searches. This paper examines the Richmond, VA 2nd precincts policies
for vehicle trunk searches, searches that are conducted after the driver has being arrested, searches on
impounded vehicles, searches on abandoned vehicles, and searches of vehicle passenger s
compartments and containers. Of interest will be if their policies and procedures or practice complies
with constitutional provisions of search and seizure.

Advantages And Dilemmas Of Cooperative Business
Most managers and entrepreneurs of co operative businesses face similar management issues. Yet the
basis for their success rests with the choices they make. Any type of business will be concerned with
the question of productivity: what productive role fits the business the best and where will this put the
co operative in the economic marketplace. Then it comes to a certain style in which the co operative
business differentiates from the rest. It is the style of the co operative business that drives the
performance. There are several dilemmas that a co operative business may face when dealing with the
areas of productivity and style.
1. The first dilemma: Innovate or Conserve
There is an importance to innovate and a manager of a co operative business should aim to get the
maximum out of the current business. If no investment is implemented, there comes a moment where
current business declines with a new innovation. If too much investment occurs, then it may
jeopardize the continuity of the current business.
2. The second dilemma: Sole Production or Leverage on Third Parties
What is the context of the co operative business? Does the manager of the co operative face their own
production or leverage on third parties? Both require different competencies.
3. The third dilemma: Support or Lead

capital as vital when starting a business. Co operatives require funding especially if it a non profit

more dependent than conventional businesses on debt then on share capital. This increases the
riskiness of co operative businesses due to the cost of servicing the debt and the requirement to repay

This research topic was on the New York Times coverage of the Holocaust. When first starting this
report the idea of how the Holocaust was treated in the United States never truly came to mind. After
doing a research project on it, the things that came up was some unbelievable stuff. The American
reporting on the Holocaust was absolutely atrocious, in one of the biggest genocides in all of history,
almost half of the American people didn t even know about the Holocaust and still to this day most
people don t know much about it; One of the biggest newspapers out at this time failed in getting
important information out to the American people, and the sad part about it all is that not only did the
newspaper know about it, but the President of the United States as well. Unpublished Information The
New York Times had all the information on what was happening in Europe, however even though the
editors knew the information just DIMINISHED. The thing I truly never understood is that, why
would reporters have information and never publish what they truly could. Its essence became
knowable very fast, from Nazi threats and undisputed eyewitness reports collected by Americans
agents (Gonchar). The original sin of neglecting the Holocaust and the current trend that has seen
unprecedented coverage of alleged genocides may very well be linked, (Kersten). The New York

Drunk Driving In Texas
People in the Houston area, and throughout the state of Texas, are commonly arrested for suspicion of
drunk driving. In fact, the state s Department of Public Safety reports that there were 89,256 people
arrested for driving under the influence in 2012 alone. Often, those facing such charges choose to
forego hiring an attorney, and instead handle their legal issues on their own. Even for those facing first
time offenses, however, it may be useful to obtain legal representation.
Familiarity with the legal rules and standards
For some, drunk driving charges can be confusing. This is because the charges people may face, and
the potential penalties, vary based on a number of factors, including their blood alcohol content levels.

pertaining to alcohol related offenses. Therefore, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Dealing with the consequences
If convicted of drunk driving in Texas, people face a range of potential penalties. According to the

Ladri Di Bicclette Analysis
Water is pouring into the heavy containers to be carried by the women to their houses. Waiting in line,
the women must care for their household by doing their duty as a mother and the necessities for
survival. De Sica s, Ladri di Biciclette, involves an essential take on female identity in post WWII
Italian society. This scene, among the other early scenes in the film featuring Maria, not only
emphasize the nurturing and supportive role women were often placed into, but also the dominant role
women took on in managing the household and holding together the family through the economic
crisis in Italy. Calling on the historical past of the economic crisis in Italy, in addition to referencing

work entitled, De Sica s The Children Are Watching Us: Neorealist Cinema and Sexual Difference
analyzes the work of De Sica stating that, In the case of De Sica, at least, we are left with a series of
hypothetical regrets (which generally make woman bear the burden of guilt (Rushing 110). Maria, for
example, must manage the depression of Ricci, while also making do with little, since Ricci has no

guilt for not being able to give her children a kids life where her son and baby could play rather than
work as soon they are old enough. With Ricci in depression, Maria is the one that must bear the weight
of poverty, finding ways to make do with little and make the impossible, such as the bike, a

Queen Elizabeth Patriarchy Essay
There are many women over the ages that would be called feminist. Those would be the women (and
even men) that stood up and face the oppressors of women s rights head on, but the backed justice to
have an open dialogue has only been around for about a hundred years. Before that time you were
likely to be imprisoned or killed. To get around this patriarchy, women like Queen Elizabeth and
Elizabeth Cary, borrowed the old poetic device of allegory. The argument I m going to present is that
these women, through their allegories, helped paved the way for women s rights and political power.
Born in 1533, Elizabeth I came into the world with a promise and blessings. Shakespeare would later
put prophetic words into her grandfather s mouth saying, This royal infant heaven still move about her
/ though in her cradle, yet now promises. / Upon this land a thousand ... Show more content on

You have a woman, a queen, a ruler of British Empire, and surrounding her were aristocrats, priests,
judges, and generals, all who were men. There were some that loved her, and treasured her, but there
were plenty that loathed the idea of taking commands from a woman. When she wrote the poem, The
Doubt of Future Foes, it is clear that Mary, The daughter of debate (Elizabeth I, 134), her half sister,
was the main focus, but I also feel it was written to others within her count that whispered tales of
uprising. I have two areas of support. The first was that she, Elizabeth, made the poem public for all to
see. If it was just for her half sister, why not just give it to just her. No, I feel she was making a
political statement here. She was showing her authority, and perhaps knowledge of ill plots that
surrounds her. The second comes from one line in the poem. To pull their tops who seek such change
(Elizabeth I, 134). The word Tops heavily suggests that there was more than one person in her mind

On the other hand enemies such as the Space Pirates, Kraid, Ridley and the Mother Brain are
programed to perform a small selection of up, down and side to side to movements with the exception
of some basic skills and animations. Kraid for example, is a muscular, slow moving hybrid with
animations that signify a tank. The spinning claws and projectiles are launched from his back and
stomach area which replicate the barrel of a tank. Ridley is a slim and slippery space dragon which has
the ability to fly and to propel a burst of fireballs. In the original Metroid he is capable of dodging
attacks from Samus with the use of flying. In contrast to this, the Mother Brain displays the animation
of a pulsating mechanical brain with an immense amount of flowing energy without the access of
limbs. This indicates that it has imposing authority. To summarises this, many of the characters in
Metroid have the ability to convey an emotion with the use of different animations. The way they are
presented resembles the identity of realistic objects.
In conclusion, the art style of Metroid embodies the futuristic and sci fi theory of outer world life. For

Descriptive Essay About Ice Skating
As quickly as possible, I ripped open the present that lay in my hands. I couldn t seem to open this
marvelous thing fast enough! The cold, crisp, December air blew from the front door passing by,
leaving a frigid feel to the house. It was my eleventh birthday in the year 1972, and there I held in my
very own hands, my first pair of ice skates. White as the snow outside my door they were, and a
glorious delight filled the air with the excitement over this special gift. I looked over and saw my
Mom glaring at my Grandma. Why on earth would she be mad about such a thrilling present? It was
such an obvious stare, that it almost seemed like my Mom wanted to demolish my skating career

I put on my skates, and started gliding across the lake. Happiness flowed around me, and I felt the
crisp, winter feel of the snow. The weather conditions were perfect for ice skating, better than the
abominable harsh winds and copious amounts of snow from last week. I was in my own world, gliding
around on the glistening ice, when I suddenly saw a figure standing right beside the ice rink. My mind
froze just as cold as it was outside. I quickly realized that this person standing right beside me was my
Mother. I quickly ran over to her, and took off my skates. I then gave my Mom an aberrant face,
already knowing she was mad. The whole walk home was in silence, and my Mom was clearly irate.
When we got to our house, my Mom opened the front door, and I quickly went inside. Before I could
even think of what to say to her, she started talking. She asked me why I had disobeyed her, breaking
her trust and going against her rules. I screamed back, asking her why she never let me go ice skating,
and was always making excuses for me not to go. What started as a small argument, turned into a
colossal fight. This continued on for about ten minutes, each of us blaming each other for the fight that
went on between us. Finally, she asked me if I really wanted to know why she never let me go ice
skating. I quickly nodded my head, and listened to her story. She started off by

Traditional Learning Organizations
Introduction Peter Senge is a Senior Lecturer at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He is the
author of the widely acclaimed book The Fifth Discipline: The Art and Practice of the Learning
Organization (1990). He can be said to be responsible for the popularity of the concept of a learning
organization today. Peter Senge argues that not only we humans learn, but organizations also.
However, learning itself may not be enough for the organization to survive in this ever challenging
era. In his book, The Fifth Discipline, Senge introduced five disciplines , namely systems thinking,
personal mastery, mental models, building shared vision, and team learning, that characterizes an
organization as a learning organization. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
A learning organization allows all employees to have input in how the organization works. A
traditional organization tends to be more bureaucratic and formal. This culture places importance on
efficiency and stability. Employees have no or very little say in the organization and only do as they
are told. Besides that, there is a clear difference in how both organizations are led. In a learning
organization, the leadership is somehow spread out across the organization. Formal leaders do not
dictate but listen to the employees and guide the organization in the desired direction through shared
visions and goals. In a traditional organization, every single process is done formally under the
instructions and dictation of the topmost management. Employees are assumed to be incompetent thus
do not make any decisions at all; the leaders are in charge of that. In terms of assessment of overall
performance, a learning organization assesses its performance through learning histories, their
creativity and innovativeness, the extent of their long term goal achievement and share accountability
for the performance. A traditional organization only care about numbers. Performance is assessed
through how much profit is made, was the target achieved, and is there too many employees. These
are short term effects which may make the organization efficient but does not necessarily help it grow
and improve. The organization is rigid and feels stiff . A learning organization

America is creating an audience that will continue to consume those products as it ages. When he saw

Literary Analysis Of East Of Eden By Adam Trask
A Father, a Brother, and a Wife In the novel East of Eden , written by John Steinbeck, readers follow a
man named Adam Trask from his childhood up to his death. His life is an exhibit of struggle,
perseverance, and naivety; in which all of these qualities seem to be apparent in his significant
relationships. As the story progresses, Adam has his fair share of relationships, and not all of which
are healthy. He slowly but surely has to learn that even people he loves have the ability to hurt him
and that those relationships may be detrimental to him and his family. Adam Trask repeatedly displays
how the theme of relationships is recurring in East of Eden ; with his father, Cyrus Trask, his half

realizing she was pregnant and without even telling Adam about it, and after she shot him, he had to
physically see her in a whorehouse in her ugly state to get over her and live his life. This may be the

Granite And Construction Of Granite
Granite The use of granite in the streetscape is primarily in the form of kerbstones that act as a barrier
between paving and road surfaces. Granite kerbs are selected for use because of their durability and
also for their aesthetic qualities. The environmental impacts of obtaining granite are those related to
quarrying and the emissions from transporting a heavy material. Granite is no longer able to be
sourced from the UK in significant quantities for commercial production. Most Granite kerb suppliers
import their products from China while the others obtains its granite from Portugal. There is a
particular environmental concern regarding the emissions associated with importing materials from
such considerable distances. The mode of transport used in these instances is both ship and road
vehicle. One supplier leader has recognised the savings of transporting products by water within the
UK and has converted to transporting its product by water and recorded a reduction of road miles per
shipload with an energy consumption reduction. Although this example states that a conversion to
transportation by ship has meant a reduction in energy consumption it is only related to the relatively
short distance of transportation within the UK. Other concerns regarding exports from developing
countries, such as China, are the poorly controlled environmental and social impacts of quarrying. A

enemies and then coming down to the ground to check whether she was alive or not. At this moment, I
thought that the director and editor intentionally deleted all background music to make audiences only
hear his narrative telling to her. I only could hear him sobbing loudly and he was upset and expressing
his deep grief due to the tragic circumstance. Personally, I did not cry with her death, but I realized
something about hero s tragedy that the hero could not keep his love forever. Through her death, she
might be a symbol to the Spider man that just because he saved people, it did not mean that he is a
savior of all people, including Gwen. In that perspective, Peter Parker is the protagonist and
eventually Gwen s death was about how it affected our hero, but inside of that, they were able to
produce the characters with real activity. Peter returned to home depressed and empty. He threw away
his Spider man uniform and mask for a long time. He talked with his aunt about how to move on from
death and he visited Gwen s grave almost obsessively when every season passes. I found the part

Starting after the termination of the Seven Year s war, by the Peace of Paris, England repeatedly
violated the American Colonists rights. A series of events, happening between 1763(ending of the
Seven Years war) and 1775 (starting of the revolution), could be taken as motives for the American s
revolution. The Americans claimed that through both, the Sugar Act (1764) and the Stamp Act (1765),
the British dishonored their rights to taxation. The Townshend Acts also infuriated the Americans, and
as in all other circumstances, they were willing to fight for their rights. The final justification for the ...

The Americans surely refused when asked, by the parliament to revoke the circular letter passed by the
Massachusetts assembly. This created more unity among the colonies, which added to the Acts, were
one more justification for their rebellion.
The Coercive Acts, passed in 1774, were the biggest justification for the revolution. They were known
as the Intolerable Acts. The Acts closed the port of Boston, restructured the Massachusetts
government, allowed British officials to be tried in court in either Canada or Europe, and allowed
troops to be quartered wherever needed. The Americans felt that all these were violations of their
rights and that they had been forced to obey laws that violated their rights.
All the above decribed Acts and laws, were a justification for the revolution. However, they are not
valid causes for the rebellion. Considering that the main justification for the revolution was the
passing of the Coercive Acts, these Acts, were only passed because of the Boston Tea party. The
Americans might have said that they were full of all the taxes, and that Englang went too far with the
Tea Act. However Most of the taxes the Americans paid, were much lower than the taxes the Britsh
paid over the same goods.
Ultimately, the colonists were justified in their rebellion against England. However they did not have
an adequate cause for revolution.

For Tesco to set its goal and to satisfy all its stakeholders (customers, suppliers, employees, the

consist of:
The quality objective: want to do things right
The quality objective for Tesco means that the operation manager makes sure of that the store
environment looks good so that it attract customers, and that they provide customer service. If Tesco
provides good customer service and makes sure of keeping the environment looking good, the
customers are more likely to come back instead of going to Tesco s competitors.
The quality inside the operation is also important. If someone makes a mistake within the operation,
time and money must be spent correcting this mistake.
If the operation have not reordered all the goods they need, this can lead to irritated customers and
lower revenue for the operation.
The speed objective: want to do things fast
The speed objectives is concerned with how long time it will take the customer to get to the store, buy
the product and arrive back home again. The customers would like to do this as quick as possible and
Tesco s operation managers should try to make this process quicker than its competitors.
Speed is also important inside the operation. If the movement of materials and information is not

Author Miller is able to put into words what every person feels, worries and thinks about very
accurately. The main reason why Millers writing is impacted so deeply is because of the Great
Depression. When Miller was younger his father was a very ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

He really puts himself into the audience and delivers to them what they all want. Due to all his last
events and trembling past life he became very good at being understandable and relatable. His whole
life truly and beautifully impacted the way he wrote. Miller never dealt in fanciful subject and his
characters never really resorted to any undue affectation.
His realism reflects a very modernist sensibility focused on the struggles of everyday figures and the
tragedies of life just as it blossoms and triumphs. Miller had a very strong belief that the power of the
theater is to transform the society as a unit, as a whole. Miller made a very heavy dose of allegory in
his plays, soaked in realism. Then Author Millers plays deal a lot of issues which are strong between
right and wrong.
The most important part is that they re stressed how people treat others issues in time of intense
pressure, just like in All my sons for an example The businessman selling faulty parts to the army in
order to keep his family heathy and fed. Millers style reflects a strong sense of values which are
ethical and knows how difficult it could be to understand others values. Millers whole style retains a
deep compassion for his protagonist who holds onto their values or sacrifices.

Retinoid Inhibits Nrf2 Signaling Pathway through Retinoic...
Retinoids, natural and synthetic signaling molecules that are structurally related to vitamin A.
Compounds such as retinol, retinal, retinoic acid, retinyl esters and other derivatives are considered
under the group of retinoids. Retinoids are significantly considered to be the most prominent
regulators of several essential biological functions. For instance, active derivative of retinol
(metabolite of Vitamin A) such as retinoic acid (RA) plays a major role in vision, cell differentiation,
tissue homeostasis, apoptosis, organogenesis, regulation of immune system and embryonic pattern
formation(1). In addition RA is also considered to be a potent chemopreventive and tumor suppressive
agent because of its apoptotic and anti oxidant ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
These isoforms are formed because of differential usage of promoters and alternative splicing (8). As
most, nuclear receptors including retinoid receptors possess similarities in their structural
organization. Based on homology with other nuclear receptors, RAR and RXR receptors consists six
conserved regions known as A F. The N terminal region contains two domains (A/B) are designated as
AF1 and they are the least conserved domains and highly variable in length which exhibit a ligand
independent transactivation activity. So far, there is no three dimensional structure has been predicted
for A/B domain. (9). Central region C possess DNA binding domain (DBD) which is said to be the
most conserved region and possess similarity in their structure. DBD contains an important short motif
known as P box which is responsible for direct DNA interaction and detection of specificity for DNA
binding. DBD also possess additional sequences that are required for the homo or heterodimerization
of nuclear receptors. A pair of zinc fingers present in domain C is critically responsible for DNA
specific contacts and interaction. Domain D is the less conserved domain among nuclear receptors
which acts as a flexible hinge in between two domains such as C (DBD) and E (LBD) domains. In
addition, domain D possesses the nuclear localization signal (NLS) that regulates the sub cellular
distribution of nuclear receptors. The E region contains ligand binding domain (LBD) is

performance as well as challenges in its operating market using the PEST analysis tool, in order to

In addition to this supermarkets are increasingly developing their own label range and investing
further in the convenience format. On the other hand Picard´s vertically integrated supply chain and
close geographical location to the current distribution network is considered a significant advantage.
Furthermore UK consumers are the one of the largest frozen food buyers globally and Picard has a
leading home delivery channel already established in 6 countries from online and telephone orders. It
is therefore concluded that the UK is an attractive proposition for Picard. 2. INTRODUCTION In
these straitened economic times, frozen food is a sector that is growing as consumers recognise two
main factors. Firstly it offers value for money, and secondly it helps to reduce food waste. The UK
frozen food market is worth around £5.1 billion a year and accounts for 8% of the UK Grocery
Industry (Kantar Worldpanel, 2010). Although in 2010 the market remained flat, it has shown 11.3%
value growth between 2007 2010, with indication that the market will continue to grow this year. [pic]
Souce: Kantar Worldpanel, September 2010 Convenience is driving the frozen market sales globally
as consumers are looking for healthy and less time consuming meals (Seth and Randall, 2011). Private

How Did Mikhail Gorbachev Modernize The Soviet Union
Mikhail Gorbachev was the seventh and final President, the last Head of State, and the last General
Secretary of the Soviet Union and also the final Chairman of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet.
Gorbachev tried to introduce new economic, social and political reforms to the Soviet Union. These
reforms were very different to those current in place from the Communism ideals. Although Mikhail
Gorbachev didn t intend to cause the collapse the Soviet Union, the attempts he made to strengthen
and modernise the Soviet Union ultimately lead to its downfall. As communism and central power was
the basis that held together the Soviet Union, Gorbachev s Perestroika acted against these factors

  • 2. The Downside Of Teleporting In Star Trek Teleportation An Introduction to Teleporting Beam me up, Scotty! When Star Trek was first released in 1966, teleportation was only a dream. Now a days, people are claiming that future generations as soon as great grandchildren will be able to teleport with ease. There are, however, many things that Star Trek hasn t prepared fans for, and although there are many perks to teleportation, people need to weigh in the risk factors as well. The pros may sound promising but, the cons tremendously outweigh them. The Downside of Teleportation This paper could go on and on about the definition of life or crap like that, however that would be a large waste of time and space. So, with that in mind, this paper shall continue on wayward. First of all, by teleporting, all of the atoms in the human body would essentially deconstruct and then reconstruct in a new place. With all of this assembling and disassembling taking place, an issue that needs to be brought up and spoken about is whether or not there would be any mixed up body parts as a complication. While the body is disassembling, the heart would temporarily stop beating and the person would die . However, the person would not really die. The body would continue on with life . It would just be ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... No more super slow text messages being sent in a group chat. Just teleport that information right over to anyone of choosing. • 3. Teleological And Deontological Analysis One might ask, what makes an action ethical? Why some people think that product placement in movies is a considerably ethical phenomena, while others find it unethical and unacceptable. According to Tsalikis Fritzsche, (1989, p, 696), ethics is an inquiry into the nature and grounds of morality where morality means moral judgments, standards, and rules of conduct (Tsalikis, Fritzsche, 1989, p, 696). In other words, ethics, which is a discipline that deals with what true and false is, is defined as a system of determined theory or moral values (Shea, 1988). Likewise an ethical evaluation is based on moral philosophy (Reidenbach Robin, 1990). Therefore, an ethical decision depends on individual moral values, and the judgment of business activity is influenced by his/her moral philosophy (Wang, 2012). ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The major difference between these two theories is that, deontological theories focus on the specific actions or behaviours of an individual, while teleological theories focus on the consequences of those actions or behaviours (Hunt Vitell, 1986). Both of these two streams have several sub streams, however, the following sections will seek to examine only two of them since researchers (e.g. Beauchamp Bowie, 1979; Murphy Laczniak, 1981) categorise major moral philosophies into the two major types of deontology and teleology, including utilitarianism (Vitell et al., 2001). These two main ethical systems will then be discussed in a context of product placement in order to give a theoretical foundation for understanding the subsequent ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The novel is mainly about George and Lennie and their life. But I am not going to write about that. I am mainly going to focus on the characters which live on the ranch in the book (Crooks, Candy, Curley and Slim). These are the characters which work on the ranch: Crooks takes care of the horses on the ranch. He has quite the history with those animals, the reason why he is called Crooks is that a horse kicked him and that left him with a crooked back. Crooks is the only black man on the ranch, therefore he lives alone in his own place in the barn with the animals. Candy is in a similar position to Crooks, they are both rejected by the ranch hands, ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 5. Rocks, Gems And Minerals From the time I can remember I have been fascinated by Rocks, Gems and minerals. Over the years in my spare time I learn about the different kinds; Where they are from, what they can be used for. Each rock, mineral and gem has energy and many are used for meditation and healing I am going to start by going over the three main groups of rocks; Igneous, Sedimentary and Metamorphic. Igneous Rocks come form deep within our Earth where the magma is. Magma is made from molten gasses and minerals. When Magma erupts from a volcano it is then called Lava. The temperature of the lava is approximately 2100 degrees Fahrenheit. Above the ground, the lava quickly cools and hardens into new igneous rock. The new rock forms into pumice, Granite, basalt, rhyolite and Obsidian to name a few. Sometimes Magma doe not erupt it will cool slowly underground and create igneous rock. Before civilization the earth was a very busy place, erupting volcanoes everywhere formed the land we live on today. These volcanoes can still be active; North America is part of the Cascadia which lays on the pacific plate. The pacific plate is part of what we call the ring of fire a very active region for volcanic activity and earthquakes. One thing is for sure we are always moving with new land being formed. Sedimentary rocks are formed by erosion. Erosion is essentially Rocks, Gravel and soil being carried down streams and other bodies of water. As they move. They scrape against each other and get worn down. The ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The Palace at Knossos served as a landmark with mythological implications as it was said to be the home of King Minos and also gave rise to the important myth of Theseus. The maze like system of the palace was used to tell the story of Theseus who slew the Minotaur while being hunted by the creature in the Palace s labyrinth. The Palace was also used for storing goods like wine, grain, oil, and honey which were kept in large jars in the magazine rooms. Furthermore, the palace complex served as a government building as it had administrative and workrooms on the north and south of the east west corridor. Interestingly, the palace may have also had an entertainment room as there is a theateresque design with steps that may have been used as seating, although its purpose is not entirely known. 2. Unlike other forms of literature, such as narrations, in which the meaning and language is more direct, poetry tends to be more personal and open to interpretation. In many cases, even the poet never clearly reveals their poem s true intent, allowing a myriad of theories to formulate. The subjectiveness of poetry allows the audience to develop various interpretations, which also ensures that more people are identify with them through different ways. For example, the meaning of A Girl by Ezra Pound is still debated, and while it is mostly accepted that the poem is based off the myth of Apollo and Daphne, there are still ... • 8. Is Ralph A Good Leader Essay What makes up a leader? In the book Lord of the Flies, whose author is William Golding, this question wasn t well thought through before a leader was chosen. Though the main characters are only little kids, they had a challenging choice they had to make; they had not the slightest idea that the choice that they would make might amount to some of them losing their lives. In the Lord of the Flies, a group of boys from an all boys school, crash landed on an inhabited island. Upon arriving on the island, they had to choose who would be chief. Mostly everybody chose the same kid as a chief. Though, only a handful of boys, the choir boys were loyal to their choir leader, Jack, voted him as chief. Yet the result was the same, Ralph was chief. The reason behind why the kids nominated Ralph chief was because he looked more appealing than jack and he seemed to know what to do. Like for instance, the kids were bewildered when they saw that Ralph had the conch in his hands and that he was not the man with a trumpet. Then they realized that Ralph was the man with the trumpet and perceived that he would make a fine leader. I say overall: his honesty, his ability to ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This idea is supported in the novel where it says, They obeyed the summons of the conch, partly because Ralph blew it, and he was big enough to be a link with the adult world of authority, (Golding 59). • 11. Chlorophyll And The Concentration Of Chlorophyll Plankton are aquatic organisms that drift throughout their environment as they posses no true motor capabilities. Within their respective aquatic habitats plankton form the productive basis of their ecosystem and are divided into two subcategories: zooplankton and phytoplankton, the later will be the primary focus of this paper. Phytoplankton, as well as other photosynthetic organisms poses pigments called chlorophyll. These pigments allow phytoplankton to convert carbon dioxide and water to oxygen and sugar, which provides the phytoplankton with energy. Due to the fact that all phytoplankton posses chlorophyll scientists have developed methods that use chlorophyll testing in order to understand more about phytoplankton as a whole. Phytoplankton posses different types of chlorophyll but scientists usually sample chlorophyll a as it is the most abundant form (YSI Environmental, Cullen 1982, Santos 2003). Several different methods have been developed to analyze the concentration of chlorophyll a. One method of analyzing chlorophyll a that has been developed is through chlorophyll extraction. In order to perform this method one must first collect a fairly large water sample (see Plankton Web citation for surface water sampling techniques). This sample must then be filtrated in order to concentrate the chlorophyll containing organisms (see Plankton Web for filtration methods). Finally mechanical rupturing of the collected cells, and extraction of the chlorophyll from the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

There are several dilemmas that a co operative business may face when dealing with the areas of productivity and style. 1. The American reporting on the Holocaust was absolutely atrocious, in one of the biggest genocides in all of history, almost half of the American people didn t even know about the Holocaust and still to this day most people don t know much about it; One of the biggest newspapers out at this time failed in getting important information out to the American people, and the sad part about it all is that not only did the newspaper know about it, but the President of the United States as well. The thing I truly never understood is that, why would reporters have information and never publish what they truly could. • 23. Queen Elizabeth Patriarchy Essay There are many women over the ages that would be called feminist. Those would be the women (and even men) that stood up and face the oppressors of women s rights head on, but the backed justice to have an open dialogue has only been around for about a hundred years. Before that time you were likely to be imprisoned or killed. To get around this patriarchy, women like Queen Elizabeth and Elizabeth Cary, borrowed the old poetic device of allegory. The argument I m going to present is that these women, through their allegories, helped paved the way for women s rights and political power. Born in 1533, Elizabeth I came into the world with a promise and blessings. Shakespeare would later put prophetic words into her grandfather s mouth saying, This royal infant heaven still move about her / though in her cradle, yet now promises. / Upon this land a thousand ... When she wrote the poem, The Doubt of Future Foes, it is clear that Mary, The daughter of debate (Elizabeth I, 134), her half sister, was the main focus, but I also feel it was written to others within her count that whispered tales of uprising. I have two areas of support. The first was that she, Elizabeth, made the poem public for all to see. If it was just for her half sister, why not just give it to just her. No, I feel she was making a political statement here. She was showing her authority, and perhaps knowledge of ill plots that surrounds her. The second comes from one line in the poem. However, learning itself may not be enough for the organization to survive in this ever challenging era. Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... A learning organization allows all employees to have input in how the organization works. A traditional organization tends to be more bureaucratic and formal. This culture places importance on efficiency and stability. Employees have no or very little say in the organization and only do as they are told. Besides that, there is a clear difference in how both organizations are led. In a learning organization, the leadership is somehow spread out across the organization. Formal leaders do not dictate but listen to the employees and guide the organization in the desired direction through shared visions and goals. In a traditional organization, every single process is done formally under the instructions and dictation of the topmost management. Employees are assumed to be incompetent thus do not make any decisions at all; the leaders are in charge of that. In terms of assessment of overall performance, a learning organization assesses its performance through learning histories, their creativity and innovativeness, the extent of their long term goal achievement and share accountability for the performance. A traditional organization only care about numbers. Performance is assessed through how much profit is made, was the target achieved, and is there too many employees. Granite kerbs are selected for use because of their durability and also for their aesthetic qualities. Granite is no longer able to be sourced from the UK in significant quantities for commercial production. Most Granite kerb suppliers import their products from China while the others obtains its granite from Portugal. There is a particular environmental concern regarding the emissions associated with importing materials from such considerable distances. The mode of transport used in these instances is both ship and road vehicle. One supplier leader has recognised the savings of transporting products by water within the UK and has converted to transporting its product by water and recorded a reduction of road miles per shipload with an energy consumption reduction. Although this example states that a conversion to transportation by ship has meant a reduction in energy consumption it is only related to the relatively short distance of transportation within the UK. He really puts himself into the audience and delivers to them what they all want. Due to all his last events and trembling past life he became very good at being understandable and relatable. His realism reflects a very modernist sensibility focused on the struggles of everyday figures and the tragedies of life just as it blossoms and triumphs. Miller had a very strong belief that the power of the theater is to transform the society as a unit, as a whole. Miller made a very heavy dose of allegory in his plays, soaked in realism. Then Author Millers plays deal a lot of issues which are strong between right and wrong. The most important part is that they re stressed how people treat others issues in time of intense pressure, just like in All my sons for an example The businessman selling faulty parts to the army in order to keep his family heathy and fed. • 42. Retinoid Inhibits Nrf2 Signaling Pathway through Retinoic... Retinoids, natural and synthetic signaling molecules that are structurally related to vitamin A. Compounds such as retinol, retinal, retinoic acid, retinyl esters and other derivatives are considered under the group of retinoids. Retinoids are significantly considered to be the most prominent regulators of several essential biological functions. For instance, active derivative of retinol (metabolite of Vitamin A) such as retinoic acid (RA) plays a major role in vision, cell differentiation, tissue homeostasis, apoptosis, organogenesis, regulation of immune system and embryonic pattern formation(1). In addition RA is also considered to be a potent chemopreventive and tumor suppressive agent because of its apoptotic and anti oxidant ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... These isoforms are formed because of differential usage of promoters and alternative splicing (8). As most, nuclear receptors including retinoid receptors possess similarities in their structural organization. Based on homology with other nuclear receptors, RAR and RXR receptors consists six conserved regions known as A F. The N terminal region contains two domains (A/B) are designated as AF1 and they are the least conserved domains and highly variable in length which exhibit a ligand independent transactivation activity. So far, there is no three dimensional structure has been predicted for A/B domain. (9). Central region C possess DNA binding domain (DBD) which is said to be the most conserved region and possess similarity in their structure. DBD contains an important short motif known as P box which is responsible for direct DNA interaction and detection of specificity for DNA binding. DBD also possess additional sequences that are required for the homo or heterodimerization of nuclear receptors. A pair of zinc fingers present in domain C is critically responsible for DNA specific contacts and interaction. Domain D is the less conserved domain among nuclear receptors which acts as a flexible hinge in between two domains such as C (DBD) and E (LBD) domains. In addition, domain D possesses the nuclear localization signal (NLS) that regulates the sub cellular distribution of nuclear receptors. The E region contains ligand binding domain (LBD) is ...
