Energy and Material Use in Semiconductor Devices
2 Articles The 1.7 Kilogram Microchip: Energy and Material Use in The Production of Semiconductor
Devices, E. D. Williams, R.U. Ayres Summary Kilogram microchip implants that track people s
movements or allow shoppers to purchase groceries with the wave of a finger may soon be more than
science fiction: One scientist is working to make them part of everyday reality. The computer that
controls the environment in Warwick s office recognizes his presence because the implant a glass
capsule 23 millimeters long containing kilogram microchips sends a unique signal. The computer can
then adjust the lights and heat to Warwick s pre set preferences. The key to implants usefulness is that
unique signal, which many speculate could be used as a cross between a social security number and a
PIN, allowing computers in your home, workplace, car, grocery store, and hospital to recognize you.
You wouldn t have to worry about losing your keys again: Your car and your house would
automatically admit you. (Of course, if the implant broke or the computers went down, you d face the
high tech equivalent of losing your keys.) At the bank or grocery store, implantees could transfer
funds or buy provisions without ever having to reach for a wallet or purse. Such implants might tempt
criminals to attack individuals and forcibly remove the implants in order to steal a person s identity or
access his bank account. However, implants could be designed to give off a distress signal if they were

Bird Imagery In Macbeth
Makord Larsen
Professor Fullmer
English 1010
November 3, 2014
Macbeth Analysis Macbeth, written in the early 1600 s by William Shakespeare, is an epic play that
follows the course of the twisted war general, Macbeth. Throughout Macbeth, Shakespeare uses bird
imagery to foreshadow events, better describe characters, and also give a detailed setting. Birds such
as the Eagle and falcon are powerful icons, while birds of the night such as the crow and the owl give
off a more eerie sense as predators. Their presence in the story is critical for a better understanding of
the plot. Upon Macbeth s triumphant victory over the forces of Macdonwald, King Duncan asks for a
report on the battle. A sergeant, who seems to find joy in the matter ... Show more content on

News of Duncan s murder quickly spreads around the castle, and servants blame the death of the king
on supernatural events that occur around the castle such as A falcon, towering in her pride of place,
was by a mousing owl hawk s at ant kill d . This supernatural occurrence of an owl hunting a falcon, is
parallel to Macbeth killing King Duncan. The falcon represents an honorable person who was in his
pride of place or rather his throne, when it was stalked and killed by the malicious owl. King Duncan
was at peace in his throne and was the rightful heir to it, but due to the evilness and greed in the hearts
of both Sir Lady Macbeth he was killed. In this instance, Duncan is the noble Falcon and Macbeth is

The Cause Of The Pleistocene Ice Ages
Global warming is the warmth of Earth s temperature by the sunlight as a main cause. 30 percent of
the sunlight reflected back into space by clouds, and the remaining 70 percent is absorbed by land, air
and ocean. Solar energy does not stay bound up on Earth s environment perpetually. Global warming
is a phenomenon, it has started from the last century. It impacts on Earth and that can lead to climate
change in the world. A lot of scientists have approved that global warming is a fact and have approved
natural changes and they discovered the reason behind that is global warming. Understanding the
cause of the Pleistocene ice ages has been a significant question in climate dynamics since they were
discovered in the mid nineteenth century. The identification of orbital frequencies in the marine
record, a proxy for global ice volume, in the 1970s demonstrated that glacial cycle are ultimately
paced by astronomical forcing (Jeremy. D. 1). Therefore, we should save our planet by preventing
global warming from happening. Global warmth starts with sunlight. The earth tries to absorb the
largest amount of sunshine. Temperatures are certain to go up further. But why should we worry about
a seemingly small increase in temperature? It turns out that the global average temperature is quite
stable over long periods of time, and small changes in that temperature correspond to enormous
changes in the environment (Riebeek. 2). This phenomenon has led to an unprecedented rise in

Civilization and Freedom Essay
Section 1
INTRODUCTION
Definition of Civilization
Civilization occurs when a society moves to an advanced state of social development with complex
legal, political and religious organizations. There are several definitions for civilization, for instance,
quot;the people slowly progressed from barbarism to civilization quot;; quot;the quality of excellence
in thought and manners and taste quot;; quot;a man of intellectual refinement quot;; quot;humans
living together in an organized way quot;.
Freud defines, quot;civilization is a process in the service of Eros, whose purpose is to combine single
human individuals, and after that families, then races, peoples, and nations into one great unity, the
unity of mankind. But man s ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
When civilization consciousness develops with the knowledge of physical and social environment,
and it enforces the limits and extents to these, primary drives.
Further Freud divided the human psyche into three separate but interacting elements: the id, the ego
and the super ego. Freud described the id as a reservoir of psychic energy, the pool of biological drives
that arise from our needs for food, water, warmth, sexual gratification, aggression, avoidance of pain,
and so forth. And he believed that these drives direct all human behavior. The id is an unconscious
force, with no link to objective reality. It seeks one thing only: the discharge of tension arising from
biological drives. The id s exclusive devotion to gratification without regard for logic or reason, reality
or morality, is called the pleasure principle. According to Sigmund Freud human beings are essentially
biological creatures with strong instincts, one among them is aggression, it as Freud calls: quot;an
original self subsisting instinctual disposition in man . . . the greatest impediment to civilization. quot;
At this point the difference between primitive and civilized man arises. Primitive man could satisfy his
bodily needs in his id, as it is, whenever and wherever he wanted. Thus he could achieve his freedom
fully in his gratification of his primary needs. But even at that age, the

The Roman Catholic Church in Medieval Times Essay
In the Medieval times, the Roman Catholic Church played a great role in the development of England
and had much more power than the Church of today does. In Medieval England, the Roman Catholic
Church dominated everyday life and controlled everyone whether it is knights, peasants or kings. The
Church was one of the most influential institutions in all of Medieval England and played a large role
in education and religion. The Church s power was so great that they could order and control knights
and sends them to battle whenever they wished to. The Church also had the power to influence the
decision of Kings and could stop or pass laws which benefited them in the long run, adding to this, the

As the tenth century rolled about, the power of the Roman Catholic Church grew steadily stronger, the
church had an argument with the normal Kingdom over who should rule supreme out of the Pope or
the King, the church believed that the Pope who is the voice of God on Earth should be the ruler of the
world while the peasants thought that the King should, the power struggle eventually ended with the
Church coming out as the dominant force in the West. The Church passed a law that stated that
everyone (mostly peasants) is forced to pay 10% of their income to the Church. The church had the
ability to stop any laws that they did not like or make some new laws that benefited them, they were a
very powerful group that could manipulate the peasants and knights in any way they liked, in Church
there were photos of people being tortured in hell, this intensified the peoples longing for heaven and
therefore extended the power and influence of the church. All Christians were expected to attend the
mass and, by the 13th century, were expected to take the Eucharist at least once a year.
The Medieval monastery was established during the middle Ages, this was a place where people got
together (mostly monks, nuns and other spiritual beings) and they spent their time praying, studying

Dangers Of George Washington s Farewell Address
Washington s Farewell Adress After his presidency, George Washington has explains many possible
dangers and concerns he has for the for the up and coming nation that he spent 8 years so heavily
devoted toward. There were many issues during Washington s presidency so he writes a farewell
address discussing the issues and giving Americans some wise words of advice. Some of the issues
that Washington brings up include staying out of other nation s issues and worry about ourselves, to
not divide our nation by forming different political parties with different ideas, and pay off the newly
acquired national debt. He explains all of these issues and more in his farewell address. He also says
that if the constitution needs to be changed it should be done so legally and not by rebellion which
Americans tend to do. One of the main dangers that President Washington sees are the political parties
that are, at this point, just starting to be formed by people like Hamilton and Jefferson. Washington
doesn t like the idea of a divided government because he believes it is not in the best interest of the
people and nation. He clarifies this when he writes, The unity of government which constitutes you

Probability Of Marfan Syndrome
Marfan syndrome is a genetic disorder of the connecting tissue due to mutation in the fibrillin 1 gene
which is located on the chromosome 15.
As the connective tissues is made up of protein called fibrillin 1 and mutation in this this protein
causes increase in a transforming growth factor beta protein, or TGF β which is responsible for
developing the problems with connective tissue around the body
Marfan syndrome can be the reason for problems in many different parts around the body as the
connective tissue is found everywhere in the human organism.
The signs of the disorder are often diagnosed in the heart (life threatening aortic enlargement of the
main blood vessel), blood vessels, joints, root abnormalities, jaws and eyes. Nervous system, skin and
organs such as lungs can also be affected by the disease. Mental abilities and intelligence remain not

Utilitarianism In Criminal Justice
Considering the three variations of consequentialist ethics, ethical egoism, contractualism, and
utilitarianism: How does these three areas of ethics effect achieving positive means and ends in the
criminal justice system?
This week s discussion seems to be very interesting and can be looked at many different ways, as we
explore the ethical framework we start with consequentialist ethics. This deals with three (3) things,
ethical egoism, contractualism, and utilitarianism. This type of ethics asks the following questions:
What will happen if I do a certain act? Who will be affected and how would this affect them? How
would other alternatives or decisions affect or producer different outcomes (Arrigo Williams, 2008, p.
145)?
Something that I found fascinating that should opened up the discussion is the issue that was discussed

A good example of this would be something to the effect if you support a certain political candidate
with contributions and work with agreements made in the form of jobs, promotions that act would be
wrong in that sense.
Utilitarianism, this type is very simple and is purely based on happiness, it tends to maximizes all the
good in something and minimize all the bad in the act. We all have the desire to be happy and
considered this to be the ultimate goal and happiness factor (Arrigo Williams, 2008, p. 146). Money,
most think money tends to bring happiness therefore many in the law enforcement arena attempt to
maximize this portion of their life whether its by working extra side jobs or many hours of overtime to

Roman Social Classes
Introduction
During the days of the early Roman Republic (509 264 B.C.), two social classes existed in Rome, the
Patricians and the Plebeians (Breaugh, 2013, p.76; Encyclopedia Britannica, 2015). Composed of the
aristocratic families of Rome, the Patricians wielded the political power in Rome secondary to their
dominance of the political system (during the early days of the Roman Republic only members of the
Patrician class could hold public office) and their vast wealth. (Breaugh, 2013, p.76; Lewis, 2011,
p.57; Morey, 1901).
But who were the Plebeians and why were they so important that on the numerous occasions they
threatened to leave Rome, the Patricians had to begrudgingly make concessions to appease them
(Morey, 1901)? In my learning journal entry for this unit, I will explain who the Plebeians were and
why they were so ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In my opinion, the Patricians, though they served as the government officials, contributed little to the
economy and defense of Rome as they viewed those jobs as beneath them socially (Wasson, 2014).
Hence, the functioning of the economy depended entirely on the Plebeian class. Without them trade
and commerce would have ground to a halt. Subsequently, as the Roman army was composed heavily
of members of the Plebeian class, had the Plebeians permanently abandoned the city, it would have
left Rome at the mercy of her neighbors and left her defenseless during times of invasion (Morey,
1901).
Being the military force and the economic backbone of the city, empowered the Plebeians and
provided them the leeway to force political concessions from the Patricians as the Patricians knew that
without the Plebeians, there was no Rome (Breaugh, 2013, p.78; Lewis, 2011, p.57 59; Morey,

Days later I was pleased to hear that President Obama would be in town to deliver the eulogy for the

hundreds stood before me. Never in my life had I seen so many police officers and people from across

Sex Offenders And Sexual Offenders
They can be your next door neighbor, someone down the street, or even a stranger behind you in line
at the shopping center. Sex offenders are out there. They do not wear a label on them that says, I am a
registered sex offender . They are required to register on the sex offender registry list as well as inform
neighbors, put it on job applications, live a certain distance away from any zone which contain
children, and follow several other places they are forbidden to go as part of their release from prison.
However, one thing not stated upon their release is the way they are treated by everyone in the
community when the re enter the world. A sex offender is the pariah of the community. They are not
welcome and most certainly are the easy target for society to cast blame when a crime is committed.
The community acts the only way they know how, and they will do anything to protect the ones they
love. By having to register as a sex offender, these people are automatically labeled upon entering a
community. No one wants a sex offender living in their neighborhood where children live and play. It
s an uneasy feeling. Yes, they may have paid the debt to society by going to jail/prison, but the risk of
them reoffending is not worth the risk of anyone s child. No one wants to bet the safety of their
children. If a sex offender does find a place to call home, he still has a lot of hurdles to jump through
before being able to live a subpar life. By reentering society and being

Public Sector Reform Around The World
In recent times, there has been a new proclivity towards public sector reform around the world
primarily driven by citizens, who are placing new demands on their governments for quality,
efficiency, accountability, transparency and better service delivery. Today, globally, the success of any
government is increasingly benchmarked based on social inclusion and citizens participation in
governance.
Advances in recent years have created an unprecedented case for change in the ways in which public
services work. There is a greater focus on effectiveness, efficiency and accountability and far more
demanding citizens who expect an increasingly high level of service delivery, comparable to what they
get from the private sector. At the same time, in a climate of budgetary pressures and, in the drive for
greater efficiency, government organizations are expected to do more for less. Traditional government,
originally built on principles of the industrial society is no longer able to face all the complex demands
and problems of the information society, with the trends towards decentralisation and intertwining
activities [8].
On the other hand, basic values, such as integrity, legitimacy and accountability remain important.
Governments are expected to adhere to core values, such as protection of civil and political rights,
equal opportunities and equal treatment for all [35]. The principles of good governance [36] openness,
participation, accountability, effectiveness and

Comparing Beowulf And Reverend Al Sharpton
Heroes: Two Heroes of Two Different Centuries If one hundred people were asked the meaning of the
word hero, each of them would have a different definition. The word hero has several definitions
based on the fact that the definition varies based on the person who is being asked. The late author,
poet, and civil rights activist Maya Angelou defines a hero as ... any person really intent on making
[the place they live] a better place for all people (Zevallos). Her definition pinpoints why Beowulf and
Reverend Al Sharpton are both heroes. Even though Beowulf and Reverend Al Sharpton were born in
different time periods and places, they have more differences and some similarities.

One way they are different is that the physical strength of each hero is different. Beowulf is a hero
who has inhuman strength, while Al Sharpton just has regular human strength. Beowulf has so much
strength that he rips off a monster s entire arm, whereas Sharpton could not even rip off piece of a
human s arm if he used all of his strength. Another difference is that Beowulf is loyal to his king
unlike Reverend Al Sharpton who isn t loyal to anyone. For example, Beowulf proves he is loyal to
Hrothgar by deciding to help the Danes. Beowulf is loyal to Hrothgar because Hrothgar helped his
father win a feud. Sharpton on the other hand, is not loyal to a king or anyone. He does his heroic
activities because he wants to do them, not because of loyalty. In addition, they are also different in
the fact that they fight two completely different types of battles. Reverend Al Sharpton fights the battle
of trying to get justice for people who have been wronged or have died of an unjustifiable death. For
example, when Trayvon Martin was killed by George Zimmerman, Sharpton was one of the main
leaders in all of the protests to get Zimmerman indicted on murder charges. In contrast, Beowulf fights
battles either in wars or against monsters which is completely different from the battles that Rev. Al
Sharpton

The Person Who Taught Me How To Read
I ve been reading as long as I can remember. The person who taught me how to read was my mother, I
remember her making sure I knew how to read and write my name before I started preschool. After
that point, I would read anything I could get my hands on that was my level. I also wrote, but not as
much as I read. Magazines, the backs of cereal boxes, even the little books my mom would buy me. I
remember my mom telling me stop writing in your books, you ll ruin them, after that, I made sure to
keep a pencil and paper with me in case I felt like I wanted to write.
In addition to reading and writing in my books, I would sit with my sister after she had checked out
her books from the library at the school she attended. I d wait until she finished, and then get her
books and read as much as I could. The books she had checked that I had been really fond of would

around the house,I also liked to read the Sunday comics. It was around that time I discovered how
much I liked to read. I read so much that by the time I had reached second or third grade, I didn t have

Coronary Artery Disease
Heart disease, also known as the silent killer , is one of the most common causes of death worldwide,
though many people live with this disease for many years without knowing it. Types of heart diseases
include coronary artery disease, cardiomyopath, valvular heart disease, pericardial disease, and
congenital heart disease. The most common type of heart disease is coronary artery disease. Coronary
artery disease (CAD) is when the arteries that supplies blood for the heart muscle gradually hardens

In other words, less than 1% of the people who die are brain dead. A person who is brain dead means
he/she has an irreversible damage in the brain, causing the brain to lose its functions. There are two
definitions of death in Australia. One of them refers to brain death, and the other is defined as,
Irreversible cessation of circulation of the blood (cardiac death the heart stops forever) .
Before a heart may be taken from an organ donor, his/her family would have to give consent under
very short circumstances. This is a very hard decision for families to make because many people
fantasize about brain dead people coming back to life again. Many people have these thoughts,
because a person who is brain dead may seem perfectly normal while lying on the hospital bed with
normal skin colour and continuous breathing.
If the donor s family agrees to donate his/her heart, a transplant may be performed within a few hours.
The drawback after a heart transplant is that the new heart may be rejected by the immune system or
other organs, causing the immune system to send out antibodies to destroy the new heart. Rejections
of the heart may lead to symptoms like dizziness, vomiting, chest pain, shortness of breath and fever

Law Enforcement Within The United States
Law Enforcement officers have one of the most critical jobs in the United States. Their lives are
always on the line and they are of high regards. This means they cannot fail! The results of their jobs
do not only depend on their actions but also on the people. What this means is the community has a
huge role when it comes to solving crime. Though many people may not believe it, they are the key to
a successful crime prevention community. The people of the United States don t really understand
both the positive and negative effects that community policing actually brings. Some may say it is
very dangerous based on their experiences. Others may say it s the best way to do away with crime.
Today the two will be compared and put to test by true officers serving our country. The facts will be
stated and questions will be answered. Let s take a look at what community policing is really all
about!
Law Enforcement within the United States is limited as many people may feel that it is a dangerous
job. With law enforcement being so limited there is one way the community can and has assisted
throughout the years. Community policing is the system of allocating police officers to particular areas
so that they become familiar with the local inhabitants. In other words community policing allows law
enforcement to be at high profile areas while the community who chooses to be involved is the eyes
and ears for law enforcement. In other words were there is crime the community will

Star Wars Versus Star Trek Essay
Star Wars versus Star Trek. Marvel versus DC. Gandalf versus Dumbledore. Batman versus
Superman. Almost everyone that could be asked could pick a side on these topics and their even
smaller debated parts: Jedi versus Sith, Captain Kirk versus Captain Piccard, etc. Superhero movies
are almost always a hit every year for the summer box office. Except superheroes were not always
everyone s favorite, nor socially accepted in America. This was originally subject matter that stayed
within the confines of a certain social class, the nerds and geeks. Nerd culture rose within mainstream
culture and media through a staunch refusal to be put to the side and belittled when it did hit big. It has
stayed largely and long enough so that most people will tell you that superheroes and space pilots and
all culture is nerd culture now. (Rosenberg, Alyssa)
But something that stung even worse than a towel snap was often getting labeled a nerd or a geek.
Ryan Britt opens up his series of essays Luke Skywalker Can t Read and Other Geeky Truths talking
about being in middle school in 1994 in the boys locker room. Being called queer and loser were
common but the label of nerd or geek was something even worse. Little over 20 years ago such words
were not quirky little things you used to describe yourself as would be used now. Nerd is defined in
the Oxford Dictionary as someone who is a foolish or contemptible person who lacks social skills or is

Should The Missionaries In Tom Seller s Let The Nations Be...
The afterward in Let the Nations Be Glad! is written by Tom Seller, and it is about a little known
passage in the book of 3rd John. Seller talks about sending missionaries into the world, and he defines
a missionary as someone who goes out for the sake of the name, accepting nothing from the Gentiles
(Piper, p 263). What this means is that these people do not accept aid from governments, completely
sustained by the sending party and local church members. A missionary is a person who dedicates
their entire life to the Great Commission, someone who is obedient to the call of Christ in a way that
makes a profound impact on their job. Many people think that a missionary is someone who is called
to go and spread the gospel to the nations. While this is true, what they misunderstand is that we are

We go into the nations because Christ, out of his love, came into the world to die as an atoning
sacrifice for our sins. We love because He first loved us (1 John 4:19). In the same way, people are
called to make disciples of all nations, and our prayer should not be whether to go; instead, it should
be if we should stay. What I love about the conclusion of this book is that Seller shows that everyone
is called to go to the nations. God did not come into the world so that we could have an easy life,
sitting back and enjoying the temporary pleasures that will ultimately not fulfill us. Christ came so that
we might go to the hard places and minister to the unlovable that they too might see the vast riches of
God, and understand the magnitude of the love that God has for His people. We must send people and
commit to that sending, and as a result God will be magnified among all people, and great will be the

Living with an open mind also helps me be more creative. It lets me look at the world around me with
fresh eyes, and it helps me gain confidence in myself and my own ideas. It is important to recognize
my own weaknesses in order to improve upon them and know where I stand with any competitors. My
main weaknesses are my communication skills and falling into the habit of procrastination.
Communication, particularly with a large group of people, is sometimes difficult for me. I find it hard
to speak up and be confident, and to network and find my place within the academic community.
Going forward, I am trying to improve my interview and public speaking skills in order to combat this
weakness. Another weakness that I have is that I become distracted easily, while at the same time I am
a perfectionist. This leads to a great deal of procrastination and issues with time management.
Although I am dedicated to my education, factors such as commitments to friends and family and
occasional lack of motivation keep me off track and lead to procrastination. Having weaknesses is
something that can be harmful when competing with others. However, having weaknesses is
inevitable, so it is important for me to identify and deal with them instead of avoiding them.

threats are negative trends (239). Throughout the past few years, I have faced threats that

What Is Extreme Sports Essay
Your life is always at risk. Eating, sleeping, playing everything you do has a risk to it, there isn t that
much difference between extreme sports and your everyday life.
Is extreme sports a healthy decision or a selfish one. I say that most extreme sports are healthy,
however, a few extreme sports are selfish. However, life is always a risk, so the argument for enjoying
life to the maximum doing extreme sports and keeping healthy has benefits that outweigh the fear of
what might happen or the concern about selfishness.
An extreme sport is when someone risks his or her life for the pleasure, or momentary thrill of just
having fun, or getting paid for taking part in the a death defying sport.
I believe that there are many extreme sports that are healthy challenging such as mountain climbing.
On the other hand, I also believe that there are extreme sports like, Boxing, Bull Fighting, Sky Diving
; all three sports provide a thrilling experience for the person taking part in the sport. On the other
hand the risk of life, or great injury is a constant reality.

Knowing the dangers involved anyways, the boxer continues to take part in the sport because of

The Psalms Function As A School Of Prayer
Introduction
For almost two thousand years, the Psalms were essential to the devotional practice of the Christian
church, teaching the believer to pray in response to the living God, a confession of praise and glory to
the Almighty God. Thus, when the contemporary church thus that she is joining a large group of
people that for nearly thirty centuries based their prayers and worship in those ancients words. In
Eugene H. Peterson s view, there is no other place where can be seen such a deeply and detailed form,
of the human dimension in the Bible history as in the Psalms.
The aim of this paper is to analyze how the Psalms should be used in the church today. For that, this
study is divided into three parts: First, the Psalms and Prayer, where will be discussed how the book of
Psalms function as a school of prayer. Second, Christians and the use of the Psalms, in this topic will
be highlighted how Christians can find Jesus in the Psalms. Finally, putting into practice is a topic that
will explain the value and the need of using the Psalm in the church.
The Psalms and Prayer
The Psalter was the school that Israel and the church appealed to learn how to pray, which along with
Isaiah was the most cited book by Jesus and the apostles in the New Testament. For the first Christians
the rules were, be filled with the Spirit, speaking to one another with psalms. Thus, as their Jewish
fathers listened to the Word of God through the Psalms its instructions and laments

William Shakespeare s Macbeth And Henry Iv
Shakespeare s plays Macbeth and Henry IV Part One are both plays that are wrought with the notion
of destiny. The journeys that Macbeth and Hal undertake throughout these plays are contrastingly
different and each play takes on a different perspective of destiny. In Macbeth destiny is attempted to
be controlled by Macbeth himself whereas Hal has a destiny that he was born into, a destiny to be
king. Both are portrayed differently in different spheres of their society this will be explored further in
the examples below.
Firstly, language is the first indication of differences in both of these plays. Shakespeare is very good
at writing and distinguishing different social classes using different language techniques and manners
of expression. In Henry IV this is shown through Hals learning of a gruff and more common language
through the bartender, in many ways this ability to shift between a language that the nobility would
use and one that the commoners would use aids Hal through his destiny. He is able to befriend the
bartender and these commoners hence he gains the trust of his people, which is an integral part of his
plan to win back is honour as a prince and the loyalty of his father. Furthermore Hal changes his
diction when he declares his loyalty to his father and his king showing his ability to once again use his
diverse language skills to gain the power and honour he truly wanted. In contrast the language in
Macbeth is specifically used to create imagery, specifically

A collectively inherited unconscious idea, pattern of thought, image, is known as an Archetype. All
human beings develop an archetype throughout their lifetime. The archetype can be developed and
influenced by outside sources such as your family, your gender, your culture, your friends and the
media. There are many variations of archetypes that a person can be, depending on how they were
influenced during their whole life. A person can be the innocent, the orphan/regular guy or gal, the
hero, the caregiver, the explorer, the rebel, the lover, the creator, the jester, the sage, the magician, and
the ruler. The sage archetype represents me perfectly as it matches my fears, my characteristics and the

My favorite colours are yellow and black. These colours compliment the sage archetype perfectly.
Yellow means enlightenment and wisdom. Sages seek to find wisdom, they bring enlightenment to
others about subjects that they might not know about. I find myself doing this a lot, trying to teach
others about the subject as I m very knowledgeable or very wise in that subject. Teaching them
enlightens them, giving them knowledge now that they can teach others. Knowing this makes me feel
great about myself, able to use my knowledge to help others is amazing. The colour black represents
the unknown, mystery and power. I seek the unknown as do sages. I want to know what I don t know,
make myself even more knowledgeable about the subject and find more about our world. I really
enjoy mystery, makes me excited as I m able to find the mystery and search what the answer or what
the mystery is, I find myself that I seek power. I want to know more then everyone else around me
making me competitive. Whenever I m in a class, I try to strive to be the best in the class and get the
best mark. To do this I need to to learn the information, understand it, and know the unknown. This
really compares to the sage s main goal which is to find the unknown and speak the truth. The colour
yellow and the shade black contrast, but are similar in a way that they both represent me and the sage.

the use of aircraft in war. Before World War I airplanes had never been used to fight a war, therefore
when World War I broke out and planes were sent into battle this was new technology (Lansford).
During World War I aircraft were used to combat U Boats in two ways, by supplementing them to

One of the major reasons aerial bombings were so effective was due to the angle of sight aircrafts had,

how far away a U Boat was. Another reason aerial bombings were so effective was due to the fact that
aircraft were quicker than surface vessels and did not have to come so close to the U Boat and be
noticed to drop their depth charges. These aerial bombings were very effective in destroying U Boats,
they were essentially depth charges dropped from an aircraft and worked basically the same way.
These aerial bombs were not dropped on the U Boat rather right behind or in front of it as to allow the

major ways the US and its allies combatted the U Boat during World War I. During World War II

The Psychodynamic Approach To Psychology
The psychodynamic approach is an approach to psychology that emphasizes systematic study of the
psychological forces that underlie human behavior, feelings, and emotions and how they might relate

Jetblue Negative Issues
In 2005, among other major airlines in the United States, JetBlue was known to be one of the highest
in customer service (Argenti, 2017, p. 102). They were ranked the highest because they served and
valued their customers to the best they could, and tried to provide them with the best service during
their flights. JetBlue served their signature Terra Blues potato ships, free satellite television in every
leather seat, legroom, among other attentive services (Argenti, 2017, p. 102). JetBlue had a valuable
reputation; however, all that changed due to deteriorating weather condition.
As mentioned in the reading, due to the deteriorating weather caused at the New York s John F.
Kennedy International Airport, critical constituency issues were arising within JetBlue s customers
and their own employees. More than 250 of its 505 flights daily canceled and had an outcome of 1,200
flights canceled between February 14 and February 19 (Argenti, 2016, p. 105). Because of the
widespread of cancellations, this caused loss of baggage s which enraged customers. However, one of
the biggest errors that caused constituency issue was when JetBlue trapped their customers inside the
plane for over nine hours before they were taken to their terminal (Argenti, 2017, p. 104). These issues
ruin JetBlue s reputation within their potential customers because they now feared that they could lose
their baggage, have their flights canceled or even worse, be trapped inside the plane for numerous of

The Europeans Puritans, Spaniards, French had an altogether different perspective on living life than
the Indians got along. Furthermore, the way the Indians were treated by the European settlers was
wrong and inhumane. The Europeans wanted control and soil and cared little for the natives taking
what is rightly theirs from them. When the Europeans first landed and had a first hand look at the
natives already living here, they saw them to be not modern people ... Show more content on

Indians are there. They make an alliance with the Indians for trade post through northern America and
the Great Lakes region. They not only had to fight the Indians for trading post but the English. The
French wanted to create trading post going along the Mississippi River, because it goes all the way

  • 2. Energy and Material Use in Semiconductor Devices 2 Articles The 1.7 Kilogram Microchip: Energy and Material Use in The Production of Semiconductor Devices, E. D. Williams, R.U. Ayres Summary Kilogram microchip implants that track people s movements or allow shoppers to purchase groceries with the wave of a finger may soon be more than science fiction: One scientist is working to make them part of everyday reality. The computer that controls the environment in Warwick s office recognizes his presence because the implant a glass capsule 23 millimeters long containing kilogram microchips sends a unique signal. The computer can then adjust the lights and heat to Warwick s pre set preferences. The key to implants usefulness is that unique signal, which many speculate could be used as a cross between a social security number and a PIN, allowing computers in your home, workplace, car, grocery store, and hospital to recognize you. You wouldn t have to worry about losing your keys again: Your car and your house would automatically admit you. (Of course, if the implant broke or the computers went down, you d face the high tech equivalent of losing your keys.) At the bank or grocery store, implantees could transfer funds or buy provisions without ever having to reach for a wallet or purse. Such implants might tempt criminals to attack individuals and forcibly remove the implants in order to steal a person s identity or access his bank account. However, implants could be designed to give off a distress signal if they were ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 3. Bird Imagery In Macbeth Makord Larsen Professor Fullmer English 1010 November 3, 2014 Macbeth Analysis Macbeth, written in the early 1600 s by William Shakespeare, is an epic play that follows the course of the twisted war general, Macbeth. Throughout Macbeth, Shakespeare uses bird imagery to foreshadow events, better describe characters, and also give a detailed setting. Birds such as the Eagle and falcon are powerful icons, while birds of the night such as the crow and the owl give off a more eerie sense as predators. Their presence in the story is critical for a better understanding of the plot. Upon Macbeth s triumphant victory over the forces of Macdonwald, King Duncan asks for a report on the battle. A sergeant, who seems to find joy in the matter ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... News of Duncan s murder quickly spreads around the castle, and servants blame the death of the king on supernatural events that occur around the castle such as A falcon, towering in her pride of place, was by a mousing owl hawk s at ant kill d . This supernatural occurrence of an owl hunting a falcon, is parallel to Macbeth killing King Duncan. The falcon represents an honorable person who was in his pride of place or rather his throne, when it was stalked and killed by the malicious owl. King Duncan was at peace in his throne and was the rightful heir to it, but due to the evilness and greed in the hearts of both Sir Lady Macbeth he was killed. • 4. The Cause Of The Pleistocene Ice Ages Global warming is the warmth of Earth s temperature by the sunlight as a main cause. 30 percent of the sunlight reflected back into space by clouds, and the remaining 70 percent is absorbed by land, air and ocean. Solar energy does not stay bound up on Earth s environment perpetually. Global warming is a phenomenon, it has started from the last century. It impacts on Earth and that can lead to climate change in the world. A lot of scientists have approved that global warming is a fact and have approved natural changes and they discovered the reason behind that is global warming. Understanding the cause of the Pleistocene ice ages has been a significant question in climate dynamics since they were discovered in the mid nineteenth century. The identification of orbital frequencies in the marine record, a proxy for global ice volume, in the 1970s demonstrated that glacial cycle are ultimately paced by astronomical forcing (Jeremy. D. 1). Therefore, we should save our planet by preventing global warming from happening. Global warmth starts with sunlight. The earth tries to absorb the largest amount of sunshine. Temperatures are certain to go up further. But why should we worry about a seemingly small increase in temperature? It turns out that the global average temperature is quite stable over long periods of time, and small changes in that temperature correspond to enormous changes in the environment (Riebeek. 2). This phenomenon has led to an unprecedented rise in ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Civilization and Freedom Essay Section 1 INTRODUCTION Definition of Civilization Civilization occurs when a society moves to an advanced state of social development with complex legal, political and religious organizations. Further Freud divided the human psyche into three separate but interacting elements: the id, the ego and the super ego. Freud described the id as a reservoir of psychic energy, the pool of biological drives that arise from our needs for food, water, warmth, sexual gratification, aggression, avoidance of pain, and so forth. And he believed that these drives direct all human behavior. The id is an unconscious force, with no link to objective reality. It seeks one thing only: the discharge of tension arising from biological drives. The id s exclusive devotion to gratification without regard for logic or reason, reality or morality, is called the pleasure principle. According to Sigmund Freud human beings are essentially biological creatures with strong instincts, one among them is aggression, it as Freud calls: quot;an original self subsisting instinctual disposition in man . . . the greatest impediment to civilization. quot; At this point the difference between primitive and civilized man arises. Primitive man could satisfy his bodily needs in his id, as it is, whenever and wherever he wanted. Thus he could achieve his freedom fully in his gratification of his primary needs. The Roman Catholic Church in Medieval Times Essay In the Medieval times, the Roman Catholic Church played a great role in the development of England and had much more power than the Church of today does. In Medieval England, the Roman Catholic Church dominated everyday life and controlled everyone whether it is knights, peasants or kings. The Church passed a law that stated that everyone (mostly peasants) is forced to pay 10% of their income to the Church. The church had the ability to stop any laws that they did not like or make some new laws that benefited them, they were a very powerful group that could manipulate the peasants and knights in any way they liked, in Church there were photos of people being tortured in hell, this intensified the peoples longing for heaven and therefore extended the power and influence of the church. Dangers Of George Washington s Farewell Address Washington s Farewell Adress After his presidency, George Washington has explains many possible dangers and concerns he has for the for the up and coming nation that he spent 8 years so heavily devoted toward. There were many issues during Washington s presidency so he writes a farewell address discussing the issues and giving Americans some wise words of advice. Some of the issues that Washington brings up include staying out of other nation s issues and worry about ourselves, to not divide our nation by forming different political parties with different ideas, and pay off the newly acquired national debt. He explains all of these issues and more in his farewell address. He also says that if the constitution needs to be changed it should be done so legally and not by rebellion which Americans tend to do. One of the main dangers that President Washington sees are the political parties that are, at this point, just starting to be formed by people like Hamilton and Jefferson. Utilitarianism In Criminal Justice Considering the three variations of consequentialist ethics, ethical egoism, contractualism, and utilitarianism: How does these three areas of ethics effect achieving positive means and ends in the criminal justice system? This week s discussion seems to be very interesting and can be looked at many different ways, as we explore the ethical framework we start with consequentialist ethics. This deals with three (3) things, ethical egoism, contractualism, and utilitarianism. This type of ethics asks the following questions: What will happen if I do a certain act? • 10. Roman Social Classes Introduction During the days of the early Roman Republic (509 264 B.C.), two social classes existed in Rome, the Patricians and the Plebeians (Breaugh, 2013, p.76; Encyclopedia Britannica, 2015). Composed of the aristocratic families of Rome, the Patricians wielded the political power in Rome secondary to their dominance of the political system (during the early days of the Roman Republic only members of the Patrician class could hold public office) and their vast wealth. (Breaugh, 2013, p.76; Lewis, 2011, p.57; Morey, 1901). But who were the Plebeians and why were they so important that on the numerous occasions they threatened to leave Rome, the Patricians had to begrudgingly make concessions to appease them (Morey, 1901)? In my opinion, the Patricians, though they served as the government officials, contributed little to the economy and defense of Rome as they viewed those jobs as beneath them socially (Wasson, 2014). Hence, the functioning of the economy depended entirely on the Plebeian class. Without them trade and commerce would have ground to a halt. Subsequently, as the Roman army was composed heavily of members of the Plebeian class, had the Plebeians permanently abandoned the city, it would have left Rome at the mercy of her neighbors and left her defenseless during times of invasion (Morey, 1901). Being the military force and the economic backbone of the city, empowered the Plebeians and provided them the leeway to force political concessions from the Patricians as the Patricians knew that without the Plebeians, there was no Rome (Breaugh, 2013, p.78; Lewis, 2011, p.57 59; Morey, ... However, one thing not stated upon their release is the way they are treated by everyone in the community when the re enter the world. A sex offender is the pariah of the community. By having to register as a sex offender, these people are automatically labeled upon entering a community. No one wants a sex offender living in their neighborhood where children live and play.
