Dissolution Of Coral Reefs
The dissolution of coral reefs is a growing consequence of human activities. While efforts toward
regulation of anthropogenic factors and of ocean acidification project small feats of improvement,
time is essential to determine whether or not reduction of these factors correlate with restoration of
coral reefs. Coral transplantation as a direct solution to this coral reef dissolution can thus be explored,
as it effectively aims to return coral ecosystems by _______.
Human activity such as overfishing, oil disposal, sewage, and chemical pollution attribute only a
portion of the disruption of diverse coral reef ecosystems. Sedimentation present problem because it
buries the coral reefs underneath rocky layers and thereby hinders their growth. ... Show more content

In a 12 year experiment observing transplanted coral and its parent coral, mortality rates proved to be
the result of environmental (extrinsic) and/or organismal (intrinsic genotypic or molecular level
function) factors as opposed to transplant/reference status or experimental methodology (Garrison et
al. 2012). A shown in Image 1, the corals mortality rate is independent from the method of coral
transplantation. Ultimately, success has been shown in coral transplantation. Additionally, this means
of active restoration requires very little training, meaning that moving and reattaching Elkhorn coral
fragments can be done by recreational divers (Wiley Blackwell, 2010). One of the most enticing
qualities of this method is its fiscal convenience, as cost of all materials, use of a boat and scuba, and
scientist salary totaled US$21 per transplant (Garrison et al.

Scott Deeter s Ventri Ethical Dilemmas
he problem that is facing Scott Deeter and Ventria are the critics. Scott Deeter wants to expand
Ventria, and allow rice to be grown with man made medicine. There have been many discussions
following this issue. Mostly that the rice will contaminate the rice intended for human food, among
animal food. There also are comments regarding to the environment and that doing things like this will
cause harm. Not to mention, all the ethical dilemmas that go along with it. Scott Deeter has come back
with a plan for every argument the critics have thrown at him, but that still is not enough. No matter
what he says, or does, people will still not support his plan to do this. This situation is very similar to

would suggest doing maybe creating a website that explains what Deeter has been saying, and
showing people their plan on a full screen, while they continue to do what they have already sought to
do. There are many different ways that this can be handled, but it all comes down to Ventria following
through with what they have been working so hard to do, as long as they have the approval from the

Eugene Lee Research Paper
Eugene Lee is an influential set designer for the theater world. Eugene Lee is a 75 year old set
designer who lives in Rhode Island with his wife Brooke. Lee grew up in Wisconsin and then attended
Carnegie Mellon and Yale; he has also accumulated three colleague degrees. In spite of the fact that
Lee works mostly in New York, Lee chose to live in Rhode Island because of the fact that he thinks it
s quirky. Lee has been a set designer for Saturday Night Live, Trinity Rep and many other theaters and
shows. Lee s sets have been a key part in Saturday Night Live s success. He has been building sets for

small time theaters. Lee doesn t seem to care whether the show is on Broadway or a little theater in
providence. Lee besides being known for sets in New York City, Lee has designed the sets for Trinity
Repertory Theater in Providence, since the 1960 s. Many of Lee s coworkers, describe him as a
dedicated, imaginative designer. Lee seemingly never repeats a set, when you step into one of his sets
you are transported to somewhere else. Richard Jenkins (a former actor at Trinity) recalls a time when,
Lee went out on the stage during an intermission and torched away a cab because it blocked the view
of the actors. Lee s reputation has given him jobs all over. Lee has never sent out a resume and he
doesn t even have a PR person, being so well known people line up to hire him. Lee though has never
let this fame go to his head, he still works equally hard on each set. He doesn t even know how much
he gets paid. Lee s wife Brooke takes care of all his finances all Lee wants is a little spending money
in his pocket and he s happy. Eugene Lee has impacted the world of theater in ways most designers

Land of Opportunity
United States of America Land of Opportunity? United States of America is known as the land of
opportunity for many immigrants who dare to dream of a better life. Since the beginning of American
history, United States has focused more about equal opportunity than any other country. There are
many people who strongly believe that once they come to the United States it is almost guaranteed to
find success. For example, my relatives in Korea always ask my parents how much my family has
earned so far. Also, they believe that we live in a totally different world, living the American dream.
However, it seems like this country is no longer the land of opportunity for those who are immigrants
and the low class people. Many immigrants come to ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

they want with the good supporting system here. Good aspects and the other sides of them coexist in
the United States. Therefore, the United States may be either the land of opportunity or that of
hardship depending on each one s purpose and goal. In spite of great educational opportunities and job
openings, it becomes more and more competitive with an increasing number of the population that
includes many foreigners. Thus, fewer jobs and positions are available for more people. Especially,
many foreigners tend to experience disadvantages and limits even with higher degrees and good
educational backgrounds. Also, those who have studied with the financial aid eventually have to pay
off the loan once they graduate and start to work. The interest is pretty high and increases year by
year; so they can neither save money nor plan for their retire at an early age. The United States

Judgement Day, Or The Judgement
A huge concern for most people, Christ follower or not, is the question of what happens in the end?
What happens when humans die? It is a question that many people do not want to discuss because it
brings up fear. Regardless of what people believe, all humankind will be judged in the end. Judgement
Day, or the Judgement, is something that will happen in end times where God has selected a day to
judge the world in righteousness. All people who have lived upon the earth, including fallen angels,
will stand before Christ and give an account for his or her actions, thoughts, and words. The Judgment
will be discussed in order to describe how it has been interpreted and studied as well as why it is
important in life today.
In order for one to believe that there will be a final judgement, one must have a specific worldview.
One must believe that there is a God. This does not necessarily mean they are Christian as a person
can believe in a God without actually following Him. One must believe in the Bible and that it is the
inerrant word of God. One must also believe in Heaven and Hell and a basic belief in Eschatology.
Eschatology comes from a Greek word eschados which means last and logia which means the study of
. It is the study of what happens in end times. One must believe that when they die, he or she s soul
will leave their body and go to Heaven. From there, they will then be reunited with their body at the
resurrection, and then await final judgement.

comes to the scope of the problem regarding the extent to which it affects the people, depression,
poverty, and stress is closely connected to alcohol abuse and appears to be the same for both men and
women (American Psychological Association, 2000). The National Institutes of Health (NIH) reports

Government assistance is needed to help low income women out of their current situations. Research
has found that while stress contributes to alcoholism, a positive social support can prevent alcohol
abuse from taking place (Mulia, Schmidt, Bond, Jacobs, Korcha, 2008). African Americans represent
12 percent of the U.S. population, and more than half are women, and about 35 percent of those
women live in poverty (U.S. Census Bureau, 2000). There are various patterns when it comes to
drinking and alcohol addiction. Trends in alcohol use among African American women show four
percent of women aging from 19 to 29 years of age consume alcohol daily, while women ages 40 to
49 have the highest intake of alcohol consumption for women. Even though admissions to substance
abuse treatment centers, among African Americans, have declined over the past twenty seven years,
African American women continue to make up 25 percent of the center s population. Although,
patterns for the African American culture show that low income men are at the highest risk for alcohol

Analysis Of All Can Be Lost By Nicholas Carr
The main central point of All Can Be Lost: The Risk of Putting Our Knowledge in the Hands of
Machines by Nicholas Carr, is about humans relying solely on A.I., artificial intelligence, to do their
job to point that human skills aren t needed. Thus, making humans unaware on how to properly
execute an action if the A.I. fails. Everyday, people use artificial intelligence in their daily task without
knowing it, for example: using a computer to do online research or shopping. A.I. helps the researcher
find what they re looking for specifically within minutes, better yet, even in seconds if properly done.
I agree with Carr s central point on humans relying on A.I., but to a certain point. Yes, A.I. may take a
toll on people s skill who rely entirely ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Thus making them unaware of what to do when a situation occurs. Bewildered, the pilot flying the
plane, Pierre Cedric Bonin, yanked back on the stick. The plane rose and a stall warning sounded, but
he continued to pull back heedlessly... it lost velocity... The jet stalled and began to fall... All 228
passengers and crew member died (Nicholas Carr, All Can Be Lost Paragraph 3). Pierre, the pilot of
the plane was relying on the autopilot to fly through the storm, but a few hours after take off the storm

inexperienced on the situation because he yanked the stick the wrong way causing the plane to lose
speed, stall the jets, and then plummeting 35,000 feet in the air hitting the ocean. Due to the lack of
experience and relying on autopilot, Pierre has killed 228 passengers including crew members. If
people continue to rely on machines, the skills that they have gained and practiced will start to fail and
become useless. They won t know which type of action to do if the machine that they have relied on
fails. They may put innocent lives at risk, even themselves. People are just trying to find convenience,

High School Start Time Research Paper
Students in high school struggle with sleep so seriously that medical professionals call it an epidemic,
with 87% of students getting less than the recommended amount of sleep (Richter). It s difficult to
balance sports and extracurriculars with school and homework, and, come junior and senior year,
college applications and jobs as well. All these activities in students lives leave them little time for a
good night s sleep. Unfortunately for them, sleep is actually crucial, as it has not only been shown to
improve GPA, but also help students with memorizing information (Hershner). Not to mention that
most high schools start classes early in the morning, with 29.9% of schools starting before 7:30 am,
according to a 2012 survey (CDC). According ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The goal of this restructuring would be to encourage students to go to sleep at an appropriate hour and
get enough sleep to function best the next morning. The tenets of the new schedule would be a later
school start time, which we hope would allow for students to sleep longer in the morning. Schools that
have implemented later start times have experienced both academic improvements and better overall
school climates ( Why Change ). Also, later school times are important for teenagers as their circadian
rhythms make them more inclined to go to bed later than adults (Hershner), so more sleep in the
morning would account for their different sleep habits. Furthermore, a limit would be imposed on
homework load. Students often stay up very late finishing their homework, so limiting homework
loads will curb this problem. Additionally, we would offer seminars for parents at schools, teaching
them about the recommending tactics to help their kids not only get more sleep, but work more
efficiently. Studies have been conducted that show improvements in kids sleeping schedules when
parents impose and enforce a sleeping schedule (Richter). Alongside teaching them useful parenting
practices, we would also teach them of the importance of sleep, and how it has been linked to

Grinnell Symphony Orchestra Analysis
The Grinnell Symphony Orchestra s concert with cowboy singer Dave Stamey was billed as an
intriguing and thought provoking junction between the genres of classical and Western. The mix of
traditional cowboy music and orchestral arrangement had the potential to highlight the strengths of the
performers and genres; it was certainly interesting to hear songs typically performed solo being played
with a full orchestra, but a number of red flags popped out immediately and ended up spoiling the
experience. Poor planning and a failure to be conscious of cultural politics ultimately left a bad taste in
my mouth. Factors unrelated to this intersection of genres rehearsal timing, audience demographics,
and Dave Stamey s racist habits and mannerisms ended up highlighting the negative instead. A
number of years ago, I had the opportunity to play a concert with Livingston Taylor (also known as
Budget James Taylor ), providing an opportunity for a folk rock singer songwriter to perform
standards with a full jazz band something not entirely different from the Stamey orchestra
relationship. Much like the Grinnell Symphony Orchestra, we only had one extended rehearsal with
our guest after several months of rehearsing our charts; inevitably, there were some kinks to iron out
in tempo, mood, and overall consistency. Unlike the GSO s ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

ignorance on the part of both Stamey and the audience resulted in acceptance of racist elements of the

On December 1, 2008, the National Bureau of Economic Research announced that the economy had
entered into a recession in December year 2007. The real GDP increased by only 0.4 percent for the
year 2008, and it is decreased at the annual rates of 5.4 percent in the 4th quarter of year 2008 and 6.4

December of 2007 to 9.5 percent in June of 2009. The Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJIA) reached a
peak of 14,279.96 on October 11, 2007, and then fell to 6,440.08 on March 9, 2009, a drop of almost

Everyday Use Symbolism Essay
Characterization and symbolism are prominent aspects of Walker s story Everyday Use . Walker
brilliantly writes about the use of everyday items to portray symbolism encountered between members
of the Johnson family. During the Story each character perceives and approaches each element
differently. Walker highlights each element in the story as each character expresses their different
views of items showing that people or objects are more important than decoration or style.

Freedom Writers Movie Analysis
The movie, Freedom Writers, created in 2007, and directed by Richard LaGravenese, is an exceptional
movie about a class at Woodrow Wilson High School that was involved in gang violence in the early
90 s. The class s teacher, Erin Gruwell, changes their lives and shows them that life is not all about
gangs. Additionally, she has her class write in journals that later on get published into a book; the class
titles the book, Freedom Writers. Throughout the film, LaGravenese does a superb job of displaying
the students stories in a way that plays with one s emotions. Furthermore, LaGravenese also delineates
Gruwell s ability to change the students lives. Overall, this is an excellent movie because it shows how
a single person can make a difference, and how people can overcome the most horrific hardships. The
film is set in Long Beach, California, in the early 90 s, and is focused on Erin Gruwell, a new english
teacher at Woodrow Wilson High School. Erin was excited to teach, however her first day did not go
as well as she hoped. The students in her class are extremely rowdy and apathetic towards learning. As
the days go on, Erin tries different ways to try to relate to the kids to teach them. Nevertheless, the
kids were still unwilling to learn because they had no respect towards Erin. Eventually, Erin learns
that the kids do not even know what the Holocaust is. Additionally, Erin also purchases journals for
her students; she wants her students to write their own personal experiences in them, and gives her
students the option to let her read them. Most of them decided to do so. When Erin reads the journals
she learns about the horrific tragedies a lot of the students have had to face. This makes Erin more
passionate about her job, and makes her want to teach her students even more, so she decides to take
them on a field trip to a Holocaust museum. The field trip had a huge impact on the students, and
made them more driven to learn. As the year progresses, the students have more respect for Erin. Erin
has her students read the diary of Anne Frank; the students were so moved by the novel that they
fundraise to get the woman who housed Anne Frank, Miep Gies, speak at the school. After sometime,
Erin has her

Legal Ramifications For A Company
Introduction
In a company there are 3 ways to generate capital, which can be generated internally through the sales
of assets or from profitable operations. Another was is from the issues of shares to potential investors
who are willing to contribute to the company and lastly borrowing from creditors. This report is
looking into legal ramifications for a company deciding to finance it activities through equity (share
capital) or debt (loan capital).
Companies Act 1993 in relation to Shareholders
Companies Act 1993 section 84 requires every company to have at least one shareholder and at least
one share . A common liability to shareholders is that they have an obligation to pay the amount that is
being owed in his or her shares if the company goes into liquidation. This liability is for the
shareholder of the current and the prior shareholder. In Section 96 of the Companies Act 1993 it states
that a shareholder is a person s name who is entered in the company s share register as being the
holder at that time of one or more shares in the company and section 51 states that shares are
considered issued once the holders name if entered in to the share register. Tryrion Holdings Ltd v
Claydon states in order to be a shareholder, the holder needs to be registered into the share register. In
this case Tyrion is not listed in the shareholder as there was no share register known and any direct
evidence of a share register existing. Neich v Roseka Ltd states that according to

Bronfenbrenner s Microsystem Analysis
Being at the residence school was a difficult experience at the beginning for Ana. She experienced the
stressful situation of adaptation to living by herself, surrounded by peers and no family around
throughout the week. Thus, this school became her microsystem based on Bronfenbrenner s ecological
theory. This microsystem involved personal relationships with peers, teachers, and her two siblings.
She influenced the microsystem as well as it influenced her by making her more independent and

from family and by carrying her values. Therefore, Bronfenbrenner s macrosystem had a big influence

place where the gladiators once fought. It would be also absolutely perfect with the weather in Italy,
since it won t be extremely hot. The Grand Canal tour is a lovely boat ride that takes you on a tour of
Italy. It is a breath taking and unforgettable tour that no one ever wants to miss. The great part of the

How Does Lyndon B Johnson Use Rhetoric In We Shall Overcome
In Lyndon B. Johnson s speech We Shall Overcome he uses rhetorical technique. He uses rhetoric to
get his point across that African American citizens deserve equal rights to vote. In his speech he talks
about how America needs to act on the things it promised to all citizens. He says that America is
lacking dignity and they are not fighting for all to have freedom. He wants America to right wrongs,
serve men, and do justice.
First, Lyndon claims that the issue of voting rights for African American citizens challenges America s
values and denying this right to all citizens is an injustice. He justifies this claim throughout his
speech. For example, he says in one part that it is the duty of Americans to right social wrongs and
pursue justice for all citizen. Another example, he says there is no reason for anyone to be held back
from voting and they are only held back because they are black. This justifies his claim because it
supports the idea that it is an injustice to keep African Americans from voting and it s only happening
because of the unjust treatment of blacks. In this part of the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

would be disqualified for not spelling out their middle name or if they abbreviated a word. If they
managed to fill out an application correctly, they would be given a rigorous test that was impossible to
pass. These tasks were only given to African Americans. In the part he talks about these trials he uses

The Kikuyu Conforming to Christianity Essay
The Kikuyu Conforming to Christianity
Jomo Kenyatta s ethnography, Facing Mt. Kenya was written in the 1930 s about Kikuyu society
during 1890 1910, the early years of British colonialism in Kenya. Since the coming of the early
colonization the Kikuyu people have tried to develop a religious attitude that would define it s own
culture while adapting forcefully to the European conforms of religion.
The preconceived European ideas about the African natives were unjust and unsubstantiated. The
missionaries viewed the Africans as savages and that everything that they did was evil. Missionaries
that were sent to spread the view of Christianity would have to change their beliefs and their social
interactions to save them from the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Missionaries tried to break up the any polygamous relationships that existed between Kikuyu men and
women without any concern to what it meant to the two sexes and the community. The need for
women to be mothers and wives was rooted deep in traditional collective beliefs. In Kikuyu
communities the raising of a family is great cause for rise in social status. The larger a mans family the
better it was for the community as a whole. This principle now being thwarted by the white
missionaries was hard on the whole family unit. Men would have to send away some of their wives
and children whom were a part of the community. Without polygamy, women would be driven away
and risk being unmarried then shunned out of the community.
The Kikuyu people tried to show the missionaries that the bible itself had polygamy prevalent
throughout and that some of the most religious men had several wives. Kikuyu men even tried to take
on name of biblical men who practiced polygamy to help prove themselves in front of God and the
missionaries. To the dismay of the clan these attempts to prove that polygamy was just, were
ultimately ignored and thrown out by the missionaries. In order to keep their cultural and religious
heritages existent new adaptations of religions begin to form after the invasion of the Europeans. The

Celebrities And Ordinary People
Celebrities and ordinary people are identified in different categories. Celebrities are the elite or ones
who have a prodigious influence on the public. Famous people range from artist all the way down to
politicians. Ordinary people are common citizens of the world. Conventionally, this refers to one who
conducts a rudimentary life with no authentic exposure to spotlight attention. This may additionally
mean ordinary people have not accomplished as much as a celebrity. Although celebrities and ordinary
people hold different designations and lives, they are not much different from one another. Sure
enough, celebrities and regular people are disunited by an abundance of things. Of the many things
many things, the more conspicuous are lifestyle, privacy, and wealth, nevertheless, it is those very
qualities that make famous people and mundane people homogeneous.
Celebrities and ordinary people both have kindred lifestyles. Celebrities carry out relationships just
like ordinary people and enjoy quality time with their friends and family. Every human longs for the
fundamentals of love and family and longs for a simple lifestyle when it comes down to desiring
healthy relationships. Most celebrities appreciate doing simple things such as staying home, enjoying
friends and family, and watching television. Similarly, ordinary people and celebrities both face life
trials and tribulations and experience an ample amount of stress. Life mistakes and hardships are

Catullus 32 Analysis
For this assignment, I did the translation of Catullus 32. Within this poem, the author uses a sexual
tone. Originally, in the poem, it s a guy talking to a woman who people think is a prostitute, but
throughout the poem, it s a love poem to Ipsitilla. Within the original poem, the reader can see how the
author created their own word fuckification , how the tone starts to change into more of lust, not
loving about Ipsitillia, and also it s demanding in the way he wants her to come see him. With this
poem, people throughout the years have translated it, and somewhat changed it up a little bit, but it s
amazing to see how another person how they look at the poem and interpret it. For example, in

With the translation I did I put a spin on it so I changed up the speakers, and I made it to the point of
view of a woman talking to a guy, and I made it as they were in love and not just a fling. I guess by
changing the male and female role you can stay the poem is not the same anymore, but instead, I said
it was a woman talking to this guy about how much she wants him and cares for him. That was the
same thing the original poem was trying a convey, but it just showed it from a male s point of view.
Also, I took some of the more sexual words out, and instead of trying to show a loving relationship
between the two saying it s something deeper than what comes to the surface. In my opinion, in the
original poem and some of the translations it came off as lust for the woman, but I wanted to take that
in a way to show a loving relationship and how these two people can t wait to meet up and see one
another. From my rough draft to the revised translation I really didn t take anything out I just added
some lines so it could flow

Everyone Focused On Zuckerberg s Hoodie
Designer clothing, luxury cars, flashy handbags. These are just a few of the status symbols that
differentiate the rich from the poor. These items are often used to determine the who s who in today s
society by showing off wealth and status. Although others should not be based solely on their income,
this judgement is sadly commonplace. The rich and the poor are segregated both by accident and on
purpose in many situations and the lower class is the one that deals with the brunt of that
discrimination. As the rich get richer and the poor get poorer, the upper class loses familiarity with the
problems that typical Americans face (Palacios). Two articles that highlight this issue are Why is

by Tressie McMillan Cottom. In Sengupta s article she discusses the simple, yet iconic hoodie often

why he may wear it and has a twist ending by alluding it to the shooting of Trayvon Martin (230). In

using casual language and slang speech such as this, it makes Cottom seem like any normal, everyday

Exploring John Steinbeck s Short Story, The...
John Steinbeck used his short story, The Chrysanthemums, as a visual illustration to answer the adage,
Is the grass really greener on the other side? During The Great Depression, the American dream had
become a nightmare. What was once the land of opportunity was now the land of desperation. What
was once the land of hope and optimism had become the land of despair. The American people were
questioning all the maxims on which they had based their lives democracy, capitalism, individualism.
By the beginning of the next decade the United States had gone from a laissez faire economy that
oversaw its own conduct to an economy regulated by the federal government. John Steinbeck, who

Why Are Fragile States Difficult
All countries are part of a global economy that is constantly trying to develop and progress.
Sometimes, however these developmental stages arrive in countries at different times, some later than
others. With this lack of development emerges fragile states which may endanger not only themselves
and neighbouring states but, also international security, peace, and overall global economy. These
unstable countries, riddled with poverty pose an increasing threat towards causing intensified
conflicts. To counter these threats and conflicts in attempts to keep and restore peace, international
humanitarian interventions are often used. In theory, these humanitarian interventions are foolproof
and in a perfect world would easily eradicate poverty. In ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

These standards include a right to life with dignity; distinction between combatants and non

minimum water standards, sanitation, food, nutrition, shelter, and healthcare (Hermanson). Making
sure everyone has access to these standards creates a feeling of moral responsibility to help engage

Order size Labor Time Cost Cost per Dozen
1 dozen 12 Rs. 4.00 Rs. 4.00
2 dozen 17 Rs. 5.66 Rs. 2.83 Thus, cost per dozen of labor is decreasing. This can be applied to orders
of more than two dozens as well. Hence, Kristen s Cookie Company can give discounts to customers
giving orders of more than one dozen because of the economies of scale as shown above.
Material Requirements:
The processor is required for mixing the ingredients for the cookies and is idle for most of the time.
The oven required for the purpose of baking is the major bottleneck and there is no requirement for
more than one processor. Hence, spending money on more than one processor would not be advisable
for Kristen s Cookie Company.
The baking trays are required for three activities, namely, filling it and keeping it ready for baking,
baking it in the oven, and cooling it after baking is done. Since the baking and cooling processes will
be going on for at most one tray at a given time and the mixing process gets material ready for at most
three trays of one dozen each, five trays would be sufficient, though, even three trays would serve the
purpose if mixing and filling activities are done properly. Hence, it is advisable for Kristen s Cookie
Company to go for at least three baking trays to maximize its productivity.

Rhetorical Analysis Of Assata Shakur s To My People
In To My People , a speech by Assata Shakur, a former member of the Black Liberation Army,
explains her frustrations and disappointments on how African Americans were treated and more
importantly how she was treated by white authorities in the US. Her story is that she was stopped on
the turnpike because of a traffic violation in 1973 in New Jersey by Trooper Foerster. During this
traffic stop, Shakur was accused of shooting and killing Trooper Foerster with his own gun. Shakur
was soon convicted of first degree murder and quickly fled to Cuba. While in Cuba, she wrote and
delivered a speech targeted towards her brothers and sisters about how unfair African Americans had
been treated in the United States. Assata Shakur in this speech utilized a variety of rhetorical devices
to emphasize her frustrations with the accusations by the hypocritical US authorities. Shakur believe
that the United States government was extremely fraud given how the government treated African
Americans. Assata makes an attempt to deliberate her discontent. The author uses parallel structure to
correlate and emphasize how the system was hypocritical throughout history. She claims how
untrustworthy they are, constantly destroying the system. By using the words they called us... , the
government continued to condemn African Americans which created a negative image of black people
overall. By using this rhetorical method, it helps you comprehend the structure of the speech and it

Optimizing the legislative normative framework,
Continuously rendering effective the institutions that would fight tax evasion by eliminating the

Effects and implications of coalition governments on the political scenario in India
Abstract:
Parliamentary democracies ruled by multiparty cabinets make foreign policy decisions in a fairly
unique institutional context, complicated by the politics of coalition government. Recent research
suggests that this context is associated with foreign policy behaviors that are quite distinct in character
from foreign policy made by single party cabinets. In particular, coalitions tend to engage in more
extreme (both more peaceful and more aggressive) and more committed foreign policies. In this paper,
we examine the reasons behind extreme foreign policy choices by coalition cabinets. We also ... Show

government with a coalition called the United Progressive Alliance (UPA), supported by various

winning more than 200 seats.
At the federal level, India is the most populous democracy in the world while many neighboring
countries witness frequent coups; Indian democracy has been suspended only once. Nevertheless,
Indian politics is often described as chaotic. More than a fifth of parliament members face criminal
charges and is not unheard of that most state assembly seats are held by convicted criminals.
Corruption in India is common rather corruption and crime are the qualifications for being a politician
in India.
What is a collation Government?
A coalition government is one in which several political parties must cooperate in order to run a
country or region. A coalition government is often times considered a very weak form of government
because there is no majority party. In such cases, the only way policy gets approved is by making
concessions, hence the forming of a coalition.
A coalition government, also known as a coalition cabinet, can be one of the most entertaining, and
volatile, forms of government. Often, it may be hard to know how an issue is going to turn out, unlike
countries where there are only

The Passions Of The Man
The Passions of the Man We exist in an artificial world created from our passions. Uncontrollable as
they may seem, our natural inclinations and mental faculties have actually effected immense social
change on both a physical and mental level. As oxymoronic as it may seem, it is ultimately our innate
passions that both drive conflict and allow for cooperative endeavor, and Thomas Hobbes s masterful
17th century work Leviathan captures this point beautifully. His passions are a kind of internal motion
related to one s will and encompass character traits, moods, or ephemeral states of being such as
sudden glory causing laughter. Hobbes uses the idea of passions as a motivating source to flush out a
future directed approach to the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Unfortunately, we live in the natural world. Far from perfect. Our passions do not even come close to
fitting us in the perfect world. In fact, they prevent its existence. The nature of man then is one of
passions and thusly, one of war. According to Hobbes, the nature of war consisteth not in actual
fighting, but in the known disposition thereto during all the time there is no assurance to the contrary.
(13) War is not a state of fighting, it is a state of being; specifically a state of being in which safety and
protection of one s life or happiness are close to non existent. Coupled with the very real ideas of
exhaustible resources and the will to survive, this war or natural world is then populated by beasts
unreasoned beings dominated by their psyches and unable to coexist in a society. Hobbes concluded
that in the nature of man, we find three principal causes of quarrel. First, competition; secondly,
diffidence; thirdly, glory. () These three passions are at once dangerous to the natural world, but
necessary for the artificial world to exist. The competition to which Hobbes speaks is a competition
for power. In his observations, it is the powerful that are happy and can assure their continued felicity.
Thus, competition begets violence. Diffidence implies the defense of oneself and your well being in
fear of it being stripped of you. Diffidence seems to beget violence as well. And glory begets the most
violence. The thirst for power becomes too

More Severe Child Discipline
Child discipline has been a heated topic of debate in recent years. Many older people in past

times in these arguments. There is a fine line between an acceptable spanking and child abuse.

While efforts toward regulation of anthropogenic factors and of ocean acidification project small feats of improvement, time is essential to determine whether or not reduction of these factors correlate with restoration of coral reefs. Coral transplantation as a direct solution to this coral reef dissolution can thus be explored, as it effectively aims to return coral ecosystems by _______. Human activity such as overfishing, oil disposal, sewage, and chemical pollution attribute only a portion of the disruption of diverse coral reef ecosystems. Sedimentation present problem because it buries the coral reefs underneath rocky layers and thereby hinders their growth. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... In a 12 year experiment observing transplanted coral and its parent coral, mortality rates proved to be the result of environmental (extrinsic) and/or organismal (intrinsic genotypic or molecular level function) factors as opposed to transplant/reference status or experimental methodology (Garrison et al. 2012). A shown in Image 1, the corals mortality rate is independent from the method of coral transplantation. Ultimately, success has been shown in coral transplantation. Additionally, this means of active restoration requires very little training, meaning that moving and reattaching Elkhorn coral fragments can be done by recreational divers (Wiley Blackwell, 2010). One of the most enticing qualities of this method is its fiscal convenience, as cost of all materials, use of a boat and scuba, and scientist salary totaled US$21 per transplant (Garrison et al. ... Scott Deeter wants to expand Ventria, and allow rice to be grown with man made medicine. There have been many discussions following this issue. Mostly that the rice will contaminate the rice intended for human food, among animal food. There also are comments regarding to the environment and that doing things like this will cause harm. Not to mention, all the ethical dilemmas that go along with it. Scott Deeter has come back with a plan for every argument the critics have thrown at him, but that still is not enough. Lee besides being known for sets in New York City, Lee has designed the sets for Trinity Repertory Theater in Providence, since the 1960 s. Many of Lee s coworkers, describe him as a dedicated, imaginative designer. Lee seemingly never repeats a set, when you step into one of his sets you are transported to somewhere else. Richard Jenkins (a former actor at Trinity) recalls a time when, Lee went out on the stage during an intermission and torched away a cab because it blocked the view of the actors. Lee s reputation has given him jobs all over. Lee has never sent out a resume and he doesn t even have a PR person, being so well known people line up to hire him. Lee though has never let this fame go to his head, he still works equally hard on each set. He doesn t even know how much he gets paid. It is a question that many people do not want to discuss because it brings up fear. Regardless of what people believe, all humankind will be judged in the end. Everyday, people use artificial intelligence in their daily task without knowing it, for example: using a computer to do online research or shopping. A.I. helps the researcher find what they re looking for specifically within minutes, better yet, even in seconds if properly done. High School Start Time Research Paper Students in high school struggle with sleep so seriously that medical professionals call it an epidemic, with 87% of students getting less than the recommended amount of sleep (Richter). It s difficult to balance sports and extracurriculars with school and homework, and, come junior and senior year, college applications and jobs as well. All these activities in students lives leave them little time for a good night s sleep. Unfortunately for them, sleep is actually crucial, as it has not only been shown to improve GPA, but also help students with memorizing information (Hershner). The tenets of the new schedule would be a later school start time, which we hope would allow for students to sleep longer in the morning. Schools that have implemented later start times have experienced both academic improvements and better overall school climates ( Why Change ). Also, later school times are important for teenagers as their circadian rhythms make them more inclined to go to bed later than adults (Hershner), so more sleep in the morning would account for their different sleep habits. Furthermore, a limit would be imposed on homework load. Students often stay up very late finishing their homework, so limiting homework loads will curb this problem. Additionally, we would offer seminars for parents at schools, teaching them about the recommending tactics to help their kids not only get more sleep, but work more efficiently. • 11. Grinnell Symphony Orchestra Analysis The Grinnell Symphony Orchestra s concert with cowboy singer Dave Stamey was billed as an intriguing and thought provoking junction between the genres of classical and Western. The mix of traditional cowboy music and orchestral arrangement had the potential to highlight the strengths of the performers and genres; it was certainly interesting to hear songs typically performed solo being played with a full orchestra, but a number of red flags popped out immediately and ended up spoiling the experience. Poor planning and a failure to be conscious of cultural politics ultimately left a bad taste in my mouth. Factors unrelated to this intersection of genres rehearsal timing, audience demographics, and Dave Stamey s racist habits and mannerisms ended up highlighting the negative instead. A number of years ago, I had the opportunity to play a concert with Livingston Taylor (also known as Budget James Taylor ), providing an opportunity for a folk rock singer songwriter to perform standards with a full jazz band something not entirely different from the Stamey orchestra relationship. Amity School of Communication AMITY UNIVERSITY RAJASTHAN Effects and implications of coalition governments on the political scenario in India Abstract: Parliamentary democracies ruled by multiparty cabinets make foreign policy decisions in a fairly unique institutional context, complicated by the politics of coalition government. Recent research suggests that this context is associated with foreign policy behaviors that are quite distinct in character from foreign policy made by single party cabinets. In particular, coalitions tend to engage in more extreme (both more peaceful and more aggressive) and more committed foreign policies. In this paper, we examine the reasons behind extreme foreign policy choices by coalition cabinets. We also ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... At the federal level, India is the most populous democracy in the world while many neighboring countries witness frequent coups; Indian democracy has been suspended only once. Nevertheless, Indian politics is often described as chaotic. More than a fifth of parliament members face criminal charges and is not unheard of that most state assembly seats are held by convicted criminals. Corruption in India is common rather corruption and crime are the qualifications for being a politician in India. What is a collation Government? A coalition government is one in which several political parties must cooperate in order to run a country or region. A coalition government is often times considered a very weak form of government because there is no majority party. In such cases, the only way policy gets approved is by making concessions, hence the forming of a coalition. A coalition government, also known as a coalition cabinet, can be one of the most entertaining, and volatile, forms of government. • 34. The Passions Of The Man The Passions of the Man We exist in an artificial world created from our passions. Uncontrollable as they may seem, our natural inclinations and mental faculties have actually effected immense social change on both a physical and mental level. As oxymoronic as it may seem, it is ultimately our innate passions that both drive conflict and allow for cooperative endeavor, and Thomas Hobbes s masterful 17th century work Leviathan captures this point beautifully. His passions are a kind of internal motion related to one s will and encompass character traits, moods, or ephemeral states of being such as sudden glory causing laughter. Hobbes uses the idea of passions as a motivating source to flush out a future directed approach to the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Unfortunately, we live in the natural world. Far from perfect. Our passions do not even come close to fitting us in the perfect world. In fact, they prevent its existence. The nature of man then is one of passions and thusly, one of war. According to Hobbes, the nature of war consisteth not in actual fighting, but in the known disposition thereto during all the time there is no assurance to the contrary. (13) War is not a state of fighting, it is a state of being; specifically a state of being in which safety and protection of one s life or happiness are close to non existent. Coupled with the very real ideas of exhaustible resources and the will to survive, this war or natural world is then populated by beasts unreasoned beings dominated by their psyches and unable to coexist in a society. Hobbes concluded that in the nature of man, we find three principal causes of quarrel. First, competition; secondly, diffidence; thirdly, glory. () These three passions are at once dangerous to the natural world, but necessary for the artificial world to exist. The competition to which Hobbes speaks is a competition for power. In his observations, it is the powerful that are happy and can assure their continued felicity. Thus, competition begets violence. Diffidence implies the defense of oneself and your well being in fear of it being stripped of you. Diffidence seems to beget violence as well. And glory begets the most violence. Many older people in past generations support more severe child discipline, citing that it teaches kids proper behavior better than more modern teaching styles. However, younger parents and experts are saying that severe child discipline can have long lasting negative effects. The issue of child abuse has been brought up many times in these arguments. There is a fine line between an acceptable spanking and child abuse.
