Science Case Study
1. It is necessary to conduct random sampling within a habitat as we found more accurate the results
withdrawing the influences of humans and let on the investigator to analyze and describe the structure
and function of it with the obtained data. 2. In my opinion, accurate is when you have a measurement
and you are more close to the actual value, on the other hand, precision is when you have repeated
measurements and they do not have to be close to the real value, for example when you are doing an
experiment and you have to do three trials and they are giving you the same result but at the same
time, they are far away from the true value. I prefer to have in my sampling accuracy as my result
could be more close to the true value. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
HO: There is not significant difference in abundance among the four species calculated from the
transect sampling. HA: There is significant difference in abundance among the four species calculated
from the transect sampling. I got a p value of 0.16, which is greater than the alpha (= 0.05).Therefore,
we fail to reject the null hypothesis. Concluding that there will be not significant difference in
abundance among the four species calculated from the transect sampling. No, the estimates from the
individual group did not match the combined class estimates even though groups 5 and 6 had the same
values in the quadrat sampling. In this case, the group with the highest estimate population size is
group 1, which is higher than the mean calculated. On the other hand, group 4 has the lowest estimate
population size among all the groups. In addition, group 2 has a lower estimation number except for
specie A, and group 3 has a lower estimation number as well except for specie D. 1. In conclusion,
given the true size of each species population, the sampling methods that obtained results that were
more accurate was quadrat as this method is very convenient when you are going to test population
sizes with limited mobility. In this case, I will increase the precision of my sampling methods if I had
to do this experiment again using the quadrat data several times in order to avoid tendency but also the

Hospice Philosophy Of Care Case Study
Hospice: Providing Shelter For Those On Difficult Journeys Hospice is built on the realization that not
all illnesses are curable. The main goal of this philosophy of care is to help the client remain as
comfortable as possible for the remainder of the client s life. This type of care focuses on the four
main areas of human needs: Physical, psychological, social, and spiritual. It can also be classified into
different levels of care such as routine, respite, continuous care, and general in patient. Although the
majority of hospice clients are 75 years of age or older, it is reported almost ninety percent of hospice
facilities in the United States have admitted terminally ill children. In any setting, with any client, the

The World Health Organization suggests using a three step analgesic ladder that involves nonopioids,
weak opioids, and strong opioids. These may be used along or in conjunction with an adjuvant
medication to achieve a desired effect. Medicines are given around the clock to stay ahead of pain and
to prevent breakthrough pain. A pain assessment must always be done, and the lowest dose is always
tried first. Allowing clients to self administer medications can help with self esteem and boost morale.
Non pharmacologic methods of pain control may be useful along or in conjunction with medication

Women s Roles In Ancient Egyptian Women, As Nefertiti And...
Legendary women such as Nefertiti and Cleopatra are the powerful faces of Ancient Egypt that are
well known throughout the world, but the details on the lives of ordinary Egyptian women are much
more obscure. Many goddesses and other important female figures have been a prevalent topic of
study in the ancient Egyptian world, however, the knowledge of how normal women spent their days
is not nearly as common. The development of the roles and status of women in ancient Egypt as well
as their everyday lives and their impact on society was essential to the advancement of the civilization
as a whole. The richest and most primary source other than written text was the artwork that is
commonly associated with tombs; for instance, funerary models, reliefs, and wall paintings. Since men
were typically the ones who would commission and create conceptual and representational art, many
aspects of women s lives were ignored or neglected. It was also very rare for female roles to be
included in historical documents from the era because they seldom held high government positions,
even though the idea of women being in power was not unheard of or uncommon between 3,000 and
1,000 BC. This research paper will be exploring a wide variety of details in ancient Egyptian women s
lives such as marriage, domestic living, legal and political rights, religion, and women of power.
Ancient Egyptian women were granted social liberties, individual freedom, and even legal rights equal

Loopy Lydia Diary
Short story
Seven days ago, something awful happened. I m only writing this diary entry as I need to get my anger
and frustration out some way. The guilt inside me is eating me alive it s growing and growing. The
pain is invading my whole body. Let me start from the beginning, then will it all begin to make sense.
I hated the man with a passion, the mere thought of him made me sick to my stomach. You could say
that I haven t been the same since that day. I hardly eat and I like to keep to myself. The girls in my
school call me loopy Lydia. It s only because I don t speak in class and I prefer to draw then speak.
People think I don t understand, what they say, they think I m crazy when in actual fact I can
understand. They say that I have pale, lifeless eyes and that I seem like I m in catatonic state but if
only they knew. My mum knows and I hate that she knows. She had the power to do something to stop
it, to stop that disgusting act. But she didn t, she stood there and watched. She cried and watched but
she didn t stop him. She sat in the corner while it all happened. For 8 years of my life I called that man
my father and now I can t even look him in ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
My mum left me in the kitchen to make breakfast when he came up to me, I was cutting up some
mushrooms when I felt his hot breath on my neck. He held my arm and began to turn me, I was
resisting as much as I could but he was so strong. I didn t know what to do, so I just jerked my hand
and he fell. It was an accident I swear but I don t regret it. I can picture it in my head right now as I m
writing; his cold body lay on the floor in a pool of crimson; I can picture his face as the blood drained
away and I can picture my mum, she was motionless like a statue. A tear drizzling down her cheeks. I
remember her cradling him and whispering he same five words: Where did we go wrong? . I m
writing this because now nobody will talk to

Freudian Analysis Of ZuƱi Tale
Freudian Analysis of ZuƱi Tale Sigmund Freud, the famed Austrian neurologist, pioneered the process
of psychoanalysis, which was intended to be a clinical method to treat neurosis and other forms of
psychopathology. However, it has also found use in analyzing stories, dreams, and myths. Freud s
method of developing latent thoughts through manifest content will be demonstrated in the following
paper, which focuses on a ZuƱi folktale called The Ugly Wild Boy Who Drove the Bear Away from
South Eastern Mesa. The story is about a young boy who lives with his grandmother near a village
called K iƔkime. This boy is unlike others in that he is frightfully ugly ; with scars all over his body, he
suffers from distorted facial features and abnormal growths on his head. One season it rains heavily in
the Southeastern Mesa near K iƔkime, bringing forth fresh growth like nuts from piƱon trees, fruit
from datilas, and seeds from the gray grass and redtop. However, the villagers are unable to retrieve
them because an old, frightening bear claims the territory for himself, ... Show more content on

Raining is a phallic symbol with relation to urination, and in the context of the story, it also brings
forth fertility. Freud s works explain fruits as a symbol of breasts, in line with the concept of fertility.
Whether they stand for fertility or specifically breasts, the datila fruit, piƱon nuts, and grass seed
represent desirable items to the boy and the villagers. Unfortunately, the bear prevents the village from
gathering the fruit, which drives the story s main conflict. A towering, violent animal, the bear is the
principle foe of the boy, and further affirms the notion of the simpleton hero story; in comparison, the
boy is weak, yet he can defy all odds and defeat a more powerful enemy. Moreover, his unexpected
wild nature is like that of the initially unrepressed id, which seeks to be controlled throughout the

Friday Night Lights Essay
Friday Night Lights
Is High School football a sport, or is it more than that to some people? Recent newspaper headlines
include such items as coaches abusing student athletes; fathers of athletes murdering coaches, and
mother s disabilitating cheerleading candidates to assure their daughters make the cheerleading team.
In Odessa, Texas high school football is a major contributor to the society of a small town in Texas
society. Every Friday night, 50,000 people fill the stadium to see high school students put their lives
on the line to win a football game. H. G. Bissinger writes a novel called Friday Night Lights, about a

This novel develops characters that engage in sex, to teachers cheating so their high school football
players can continue to participate on the football field. Many people have a major affect on football
and society in this novel. One of the major characters was Boobie Myles. Boobie was supposed to be
the star athlete on the Permian football team. In the beginning, Boobie was arrogant to his teammates
and wasn t a good team leader. All Boobie cared about was winning and getting to the next level of
football to satisfy his athletic needs. When Boobie is injured, he realizes he took football for granted
and would do anything to play again. The team needs Boobie and Boobie needs the team. Coach
Gaines realizes Boobie was seriously hurt and gives an inspiring pep talk to the team about how the
players need to put their heart in the game and how lucky they are to be playing for Odessa.
H. G. Bissinger is the author of this book and the narrator. He is very descriptive about each individual

excellent. He establishes his characters, develops the plot, and builds the novel to reach a climatic
conclusion. The sentence fluency is well structured and easy to read. Bissinger s writing will not allow

The second Great Awakening, Immigration, and Christian Fundamentalism all played large parts in the
shaping of American religious, political, and social life. However, the revivals of the second Great

Revenge is sometimes sweet but, it can also be very bitter. In The Help by Kathryn Stockett, revenge
is shown often and in some cases it is sweet and in others it is bitter. In many cases revenge can make
a person feel better, when they are the ones giving it. When receiving revenge, it could make a person
more upset than what they were before. Revenge is either sweet or bitter depending on who is giving
and who is receiving. For one of the main characters in Stockett s novel revenge has never tasted so

My First Day As A Server At Cafe Mac
Shoveling before Winter
I swiped my card at the information desk and walked in optimistic and excited for my first day as a
server at CafƩ Mac. Little did I know how much of my design OCD my job would trigger. After an
infinite three hours of standing, greeting and serving people I was asked to shovel heaps of ice, and
winter hadn t even started yet! The last hour of my shift at the cafƩ involved me shoveling ice out of
refrigerator deli cases, reeling the ice to the back of the kitchen, using all my might to dump heavy
baskets of ice into the sink and then the best part: running hot water over the ice for over fifteen
minutes to melt the ice. This was the first time I had seen water being used to melt ice. Coming from a
country with a huge water scarcity problem, I could not accept that I had to waste such large quantities
of water on my job. So I did the next best thing I could think of, I talked to my adviser and checked if
there was any way we could carry out this process while wasting lesser amounts of water and I was
shut down with the reply please do the work you have been assigned . Another struggle I faced was
that when I put the ice into the sink, I noticed that most of the food that fell on the ice, clogged the
sink. This was too cumbersome a job that wasted too much water and something had to be done about
it.
As I have highlighted above, the object I think that has both ethical has well as design related
problems would be that of the salad bar deli cases

the power is being corrupted well then that how u know when the power ain t in good hands. Like
when the kids kept lying to the man or the guards were being mean and cruel to the prisoners treating
them unfairly. The power has to be in the right hands but the man in the well and the Stanford prison
experiment the power was in the wrong hands so the power corrupted and there are many problems
like dishonesty, trust, lying, and if the person who has the power. As in the well, the kids play around

they are given. Power is delicate and it takes the right person to handle the power without it corrupting

U-High Stream Quality
This lab investigates the question, What is the water quality of the U High stream based on water
invertebrates found? Water quality can be determined by multiple factors such as clarity, pH, dissolved
oxygen, and levels of pollution. Clarity is the amount of sediment in the stream, higher amounts of
sediment is unhealthy for water quality. pH measures the acidity or basicness of the stream, a healthy
stream has a pH between 6.0 9.0. Dissolved oxygen is the level of oxygen in the water, this is
necessary for the survival of organisms, higher measurements means better water quality. Finally
different types of pollution can affect water quality such as nitrogen and phosphorus. Too much of
either chemical can cause eutrophication which leads

Reward And The Reward System
Reward system creates positive culture in the organization. The organization culture will be affected
depending on the way the reward system strategies are developed, adjusted and implemented. Various
cultures within the organisation such as human resource, entrepreneurship, innovation, competence
based fair and participative culture. It also affects communication, motivation and satisfaction of the
labor force. For instance, if the firm appreciates the efforts of employees, then they will work hard to
achieve their personal value. On the other hand, of the firm give equal rewards to all the employees
without considering individual effort then most of the staff will slack.
For instance, the company can give extra bonus to employees who show ... Show more content on

the employees and the employer. The company can modify the reward system depending on the need
of the firm. For instance, quality of food, customer service and presentation skills are more important
in food industry. So the company gives reward to staff who takes cooking courses, customer services
courses.
For instance, rewarding all the employees can create united structure in the organization which
promotes more team work and discourage competition within the firm.
On the other hand, rewarding employees depending upon the performance can differentiate the higher
performing staff and the lower performing staff which means individual efforts is rewarded. In such
cases the individual focus on individual performance rather than team performance.
So depending upon the organization structure, the reward system can be designed carefully in a way
that it meets the firm s target. The food industry or company should never underestimate the affect a
good reward system has on the growth of an organization.
REQUIREMENTS
An effective reward system should honor the needs of the employees in order to accelerate the
organization growth. Some of the basic needs include:
COMPENSATION
Basic salary of an individual.

The Canterbury Tales Research Paper
Timeless tales are treasures of our lifetime. We draw lessons from the works of literature that reflect
our experiences. Through reading stories we could find connections that may or may not justify our
actions. Stories that we could relate to may give us an idea on how we perceive our actions, which
questions our view on morality as well. In The Canterbury Tales by Geoffrey Chaucer, there is a tale
that covers how we must be careful of the things that we will say, because our words are as powerful
as a sword. The Manciple s Tale of the Crow narrates the story of Phoebus. Phoebus possesses the
ideal characteristics of a man handsome, brave, and talented. He has a pet, a white crow that speaks
and sings more beautifully than a nightingale. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Given the time when this works are written, people then have a very good sense of their religion,
upholding the standards of their time. In contrast, people committed acts that are considered immoral,
like adultery. In this tale the storyteller built the idea that one should not tell the truth if it only hurts
the other, which could possibly worsen the situation.
Another issue that is associated in this tale is how women are perceived during that time. Phoebus
caged his wife because he is jealous. This situation may be the reason why his wife had an affair.
Nonetheless, this poses inequality in terms of how women are treated.
As a whole, this tale represents the justification of a certain act given its possible outcomes. In which
in the story, the crow should have not told Phoebus the truth for it will only worsen the situation. One
must critically examine the situation whether a response should be established immediately.
The Canterbury Tales may be written for us to realize the different things that are around us. This
collection of tales may awaken a part of our minds that is unconscious a part that could be triggered
through the use of common themes with underlying

A Research Study On Radio Frequency Identification
This short research paper describes how various industries around the world have changed the way to
do their inventories with the implementation of RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) tags in their
items. This is not only more efficient and accurate, but also easier to use and faster than other
methods. The RFID tag has the same function than a long established barcode administering an
exclusive identifier for each item. There are many applications of this fascinating technology in

Nowadays, the RFID tracking system is widely used since the first patent of RFID in 19831.
The information stored in the tag will depend on its future application. Thus, there are many useful
applications of this technology.
II. Application in the laundry industry
RFID has been used in commercial laundries for several years to track high volume of clothes from
customers2. Nowadays, RFID tagging has arrived to hotels, hospitals and different organizations in
order to reduce the number of missing items and increase the visibility in a quick an easy way at the
time to find the textiles due to the fact that when workers have to do the inventory is a very difficult
laborious system when especially when they have to read barcodes or separate linens by type or size.
Thus, RFID tags are the most efficient and economical solution to solve the problem. The first RFID
tag used in a commercial laundry was created in 20102. Since that, companies have made a great
progression in their customer service, reduce the quantity of damage and stolen linen.
First of all, workers have to sew waterproof UHF RFID tags into each linen, such as: towels,
uniforms, sheets, etc. There will not be problems to use these tags in the laundry to 550 wash cycles
with high pressure, high temperature and chemicals.3 Each tag has

Ella J. Baker s Struggle For Freedom
The 1960s served as an influential and powerful era for the African American struggle for freedom.
The aura of the African American community dramatically shifted after the brutal murder of an
African American teenager, Emit Till and the severe violence towards African American protestors in
Birmingham, Alabama. Civil Rights organizations came together and discussed ways to more
affectively portray their disgust, outrage, and misery in response to the continuous tragedies and
horrors that occurred throughout the country. Men and women of the African American community,
along with many whites, joined together to put their anger into action in hopes of setting a path for
freedom and equality. Women played a significant role in the African American struggle for freedom.

The Rise Of A New Leader, Adolf Hitler, And His Party
American author and writer Paul Auster once said; The world is so unpredictable. Things happen
suddenly, unexpectedly. We want to feel we are in control of our own existence. In some ways we are,
in some ways we re not. We are ruled by the forces of chance and coincidence. The early 1930s
continued to be a time of worldwide economic depression and the lasting humiliation of being
defeated earlier in World War I caused a lack of confidence in Germany s weak government. Due to
these conditions, Germans were desperate for the leadership of one who would turn their country
around. This provided the chance for the rise of a new leader, Adolf Hitler, and his party, the National
Socialist German Workers Party. An unemployed soldier after fighting in World War I, Hitler engaged
himself as a politically active individual joining the Nazi Party. Shortly after joining, Hitler proved to
be such a powerful public speaker and organizer that he quickly became the party s leader. Calling
himself Der Fuhrer the Leader he promised to bring Germany out of chaos (the book). As part of the
Nazi Party, Hitler implemented government policies based on anti Semitism and racism. Nazism,
which is a specific type of fascism, believed in a superior race; Germans especially blue eyed, blond
haired Aryans formed a master race that was destined to rule the world. Inferior races, such as Jews,
Slavs, and all nonwhites, were deemed fit only to serve the Aryans (the book). From 1919

Subject: The Pianist Notes and Guidelines
It is extremely important to take note that the memoir you are about to portray is one of the most
simplistically beautiful and brutal pieces of literature ever written on the Holocaust. It is your job to
continue this brave act of defiance, to retell Wladyslaw Wladek Szpilman s story to a wider, more
modern audience than ever before. As Wolf Biermann explains in the epilogue, this memoir is so
difficult to swallow that the Eastern European audience of 1946 were unable to tolerate such an
authentic and unflinching view of the horror they had lived through, causing the memoir to not be

to show Szpilman as not a typical hero, but as a battered and weakened human being who by the grace
of his fellow man, survived. The film needs to offer the same stark reality that Szpilman selflessly
gives to the reader. This film cannot be another Hollywood feel good film. No false messages of hope
or salvation can be found in the memoir, and therefore, should not be found on the screen. The

resembles Freud s personality theory, while the last four is a subdivided version of Freud s genital

that it caused an unhealthy personality and self worth. In turn, causing one to have be less motivated

I Am An Application Of My Multimodal English 1101 Class
Makers and Makerspaces was the subject of my multimodal English 1101 class, which exposed me to
an innovative culture and developed competence in all communication modalities.
While my original interest was in the class theme of maker culture, towards the end of the semester I
found the work on mastering communication in a variety of modes to be increasingly important.
Furthermore, the class constantly contributed to my personal writing and communication skills
development throughout the creation of a web page, a group presentation, and an analysis essay. As an
international student, the transition was rough because I had been detached from the English language
for three years before coming to Georgia Tech. Nevertheless, the course gave me ... Show more

Understating the genre and audience as well as the rhetorical process generated a detailed
development of the webpage, which throughout diverse deadlines of every process, attempted to a
better final project. Notwithstanding high school projects would produce analogous outcomes, I
understand what writing was about in English 1101. For instance, adapting you communication, aware
of audience, genre, purpose of communication, as well as having a strong yet debatable thesis, make
me become aware of the complicated nature of the rhetorical situation, which unfortunately, I did not
have the pleasure to know before. I used to procrastinate every project until it almost reaches its
deadline, depriving myself of the core meaning of the proposal. English 1101 had diverse deadlines
throughout the project, which require myself to work continuously and in advance for every
assignment. As a result, I had to improve my time management skills. Moreover, I realized that an
aftermath of not procrastinating and working everyday, was an improvement in my work due to the
reviewing process I was exposed to continuously. Additionally, controlling my time better required a
schedule, which promoted me to work more efficiently and organized in every class. Therefore, the
importance of setting to work prior the project s limit period, helped me understand assignments more
thoroughly, along with improving my time management. Moreover,

My Journey To Six Flags-Personal Narrative
Wake up babe! We re going to Six Flags today! , my boyfriend yelled excitedly. Those two words
instantly made my stomach knot. I was not a fan of roller coasters and I knew exactly what Henry, my
boyfriend, wanted to do as soon as we got there. Krystal and Emily, my two younger cousins, had
spent the night with us so we could all go together the next day. I anxiously got up and started to get
ready. Everybody was really excited. I wanted to be just as excited as they were but some how I
couldn t manage to gain enough courage.
Six Flags was about an hour away from where we lived. I decided to listen to music to try to soothe
my nerves. I m going to try to get on a roller coaster at least once before we leave. , I said under my
breath. The ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

next one. I went through the gates and went straight to my seat. Henry sat right next to me and held

There are many mysteries about the smallpox virus. Since the seventeenth century, doctors have
understood that if the pustules merge into sheets across the body the victim will usually die: the virus
has split the whole skin. If the victim survives, the pustules turn into scabs and fall off, leaving scars.
This is known as ordinary smallpox.
Some people develop extreme smallpox, which is loosely called black pox. Doctors separate black
pox into two forms flat smallpox and hemorrhagic smallpox. In a case of flat smallpox, the skin
remains smooth and doesn t pustulate, but it darkens until it looks charred, and it can slip off the body
in sheets. In hemorrhagic smallpox, black, unclotted blood oozes or runs from the mouth and other
body orifices. Black pox is close to a hundred per cent fatal. If any sign of it appears in the body, the
victim will almost certainly die. In the bloody cases, the virus destroys the linings of the throat, the
stomach, the intestines, the rectum, and the vagina, and these membranes disintegrate. Fatal smallpox
can destroy the body s entire skin both the exterior skin and the interior skin that lines the passages of
the body.
Smallpox virus s scientific name is variola. It means spotted in Latin, and it was given to the disease
by a medieval bishop. The virus, as a life form, comes in two subspecies:

Naps Should Be Allowed In Kindergarten
Naptime or rest time should be a requirement in kindergarten. A simply twenty or thirty minute nap
can reprogram a child s memory, behavior, and assist a child who lacks a sufficient night s rest.
Furthermore, the section will elaborate on the needs of daytime and night sleep in children who
attends kindergarten. Evidence which will support the position of naps in kindergarten will be
provided. Supporting Evidence The research in this paper indicates that if a child s sleep needs are

Stanley Gault Research Paper
WOOSTER Stanley Gault was remembered as a faithful husband, caring father, successful
businessman, generous philanthropist, committed Christian and lover of this community Saturday
during funeral services for the former Rubbermaid CEO at Wooster United Methodist Church.
Sons Stephen and Chris Gault, longtime friend Ron Holtman, the Rev. Charles Tobias and Deborah
Hoover shared memories of Stanley Gault, who died June 29 at the Cleveland Clinic. He was 90.
We come together in grief, Tobias said, but through the course of the service and his message shared
how Stanley Gault was now in a heavenly home prepared for him by Jesus. And, he was now reunited
with his wife, Flo, who died April 16, 2013.
Stephen Gault said it was gratifying to see so many wonderful people from near and far who arranged

There was another time his father caught a great walleye, but Stephen failed to string it to the side of
the boat, and it swam off. Both occasions were followed by a vigorous Stanley Gault lecture, though
in the second one his dad used shorter words.
There was a time when Stanley Gault was grilling hot dogs at the cabin in Canada for family and
construction workers who were building an addition. While eating, he talked about how he had just sat
next to Lee Iacocca when he retired from Chrysler and had spent time with Prince Rainier of Monaco
and princesses Caroline and Stephanie.
Everyone there was in amazement, but Stanley Gault pivoted the conversation. All of a sudden, the
discussion became all about the construction workers, their lives and their thoughts.
He treated everyone with dignity and respect, Stephen Gault said.
Chris Gault said his father would be the first to admit he never really got over his wife s death. They

Yellow Light Lab Report
Abstract:
People want to avoid insects being attracted to lights at parties, so some people take to buying yellow
insect repellent bulbs. A yellow bulb as an insect repellent bulb is strange because insects are capable
of seeing the color yellow and some insects are even attracted to yellow. What consumers need to
know is if yellow light bulbs repel insect. This lab s objective was to determine if nocturnal insects are
repelled by yellow lights and how that repulsion compares to red, soft white, or a black light. The
most important materials needed in this experiment were a lamp, a variety of light bulbs, and fly
paper. The results show that insects are more attracted to soft white light and black light than the
insects are to red or yellow ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Insects may not be as active during overcast conditions. Only two beetles were captured during the
duration of this experiment because local beetles may not have been within range of the light source
and it is still too early in the spring for an excess of beetles. This study needs to be improved by
extending the number of nights each light is utilized and by testing the different light colors at
different seasons of the year.

Causes Of The African Water Crisis
The average American uses about 176 gallons of water in one single day, while in Africa, 660 million
people see just one sip as a luxury, states Kristen Lewis in the article entitled THIRST for the 2016
Scholastic Scope. Without water, people cannot carry out daily activities and struggle to survive. The
water crisis in Africa is an expanding problem in our world that continues to affect millions of people
each day; fortunately, this crisis has caught the attention of The Water Project, a nonprofit organization
in the United States that raises money to solve water crises around the world. The Africa water crisis
has come about due to several factors that create negative outcomes for the citizens of Africa, but The
Water Project is doing all they can to resolve these issues. There are a variety of causes held
responsible for the water crisis in Africa. These causes have been taken from African s control and
desperately need to be solved. Climate change is one of the countless reasons that there is a high
demand for water in Africa. An article entitled Africa s Water Crisis Deepens written for the 2006
News Scientist, states that Drought, famine and spreading deserts have plagued Africa for the past 30
years. With the expansion of desertification, the process in which land becomes increasingly dry with
little to no water resources, areas of land have dried out and are useless to humans due to the lack of
rainfall on the African continent over the past several years.

Montex Industries Case Summary
RoboCorp designs and manufactures robots for industrial purposes; most recent developments have
been pick and place material handling robots and robotic welding arms which are being used by huge
corporations for various purposes. Montex Industries are one of the most valuable customers
accounting for a major share of revenue for RoboCorp. The pick and place material handling robots
are used extensively in their power plants and they now require robotic arms with optical scanners to
automate the inspection of the parts inside the nuclear plants. Though there is a lot of research and

lot from the venture. The CEO of RoboCorp and the production Engineer of Montex Industries Mike

to extend his full support for the venture and he should be initiating the process. On the other hand Mr.
Hunter has been conducting research on optics and concluded that optics would be the way for future
for the industry. He wants to use the optic scanners to provide early warning to prevent failures during
nuclear plant operations. He would personally assist RoboCorp in the design and manufacture of the
robotic arm with censors and would also work on the improvement of the efficiency of optics. The
Legal Consultant would play an important role as well. He would have to oversee all the legal terms
and contracts so that the joint venture gets a shape quickly and enables the earliest possible start of
production. Mr. Charlie Grape who is the Chief Research and Development Officer will ensure the
proper sharing of information between the other board members and stock holders to pave way for a
smooth transition. The marketing head will have to plan for the future of the venture as both the
parties would look to market their brainchild seeking high profits and returns as they would be the
leaders of this type of technology. He would also be helpful in forecasting the possible revenue

Worm Hole Attack Essay
Figure 3: Worm hole attack
E. Motivation and Problem Formulation
Application of game theoretic approach to individual nodes distributes the responsibility of security to
all the nodes in the network thus reducing the loop holes in the security. The Game Theory approach
explored in recent times addressing security issues in MANET focuses mostly on networks having
central administration involving only 2 players i.e. attacker and defender. We propose a novel game
theoretic approach with multiple players for security in MANETs.
In a distributed environment there is no central administration and hence each node has to defend
himself from the attacks. We propose a dynamic mean ļ¬eld game theoretic approach to enable an
individual node in MANETs to make strategic security defense decisions without centralized
administration. In the proposed mean ļ¬eld game theoretic approach, each node only needs to know its
own state information and the aggregate effect of the other nodes in the MANET[2], making nodes
self reliable against attacks. Enhancing Security in Mobile Ad Hoc Network.
II. LITERATURE SURVEY

opponents in a two player Stackelberg stochastic game. [2] proposed a Mean field Game Theory

The Destructive Path of a Tsunami
Tsunami Tsunamis are ocean waves that that is caused by an earthquake or other disturbances. The
term tsunami comes from Japan which means Harbor Wave . There are many hazards when it comes
to tsunamis. They usually happen undersea because of tectonic plates and earthquakes. Many people
always are prepared before a tsunami comes. About 80 percent of tsunamis happen within the Pacific
Ocean Ring of Fire where volcanoes and earthquakes are most common in. Tsunami rarely happens,
but when they do happen it can cause many injuries and deaths. There are ways to prepare before a
tsunami come or during a tsunami, to start preparing you will need an emergency kit, canned food and
can opener, flashlight, cell phone and create an evacuation plan for your family. During a tsunami,
follow the instructions by local authority, get to a higher ground immediately and stay away from the
beach when a tsunami is coming because drowning is the most cause. Help anyone that has special
needs like elderly and children. After a tsunami, help an injured or a trapped person, to avoid injury,
wear protective clothing. Stay out of building that has any water because it can cause floors to crack
and walls to collapse. There are tsunami warning sign at beaches to tell them to be caution because,
you never know if there is a tsunami coming or not. To know if there is a tsunami coming before time,
the Pacific Tsunami System Warning maintains a seismic equipment to identify

It is necessary to conduct random sampling within a habitat as we found more accurate the results withdrawing the influences of humans and let on the investigator to analyze and describe the structure and function of it with the obtained data. 2. In my opinion, accurate is when you have a measurement and you are more close to the actual value, on the other hand, precision is when you have repeated measurements and they do not have to be close to the real value, for example when you are doing an experiment and you have to do three trials and they are giving you the same result but at the same time, they are far away from the true value. I prefer to have in my sampling accuracy as my result could be more close to the true value. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... HA: There is significant difference in abundance among the four species calculated from the transect sampling. Concluding that there will be not significant difference in abundance among the four species calculated from the transect sampling. No, the estimates from the individual group did not match the combined class estimates even though groups 5 and 6 had the same values in the quadrat sampling. In this case, the group with the highest estimate population size is group 1, which is higher than the mean calculated. On the other hand, group 4 has the lowest estimate population size among all the groups. In addition, group 2 has a lower estimation number except for specie A, and group 3 has a lower estimation number as well except for specie D. 1. In conclusion, given the true size of each species population, the sampling methods that obtained results that were more accurate was quadrat as this method is very convenient when you are going to test population sizes with limited mobility. In this case, I will increase the precision of my sampling methods if I had to do this experiment again using the quadrat data several times in order to avoid tendency but also the transect sampling ... • 4. Women s Roles In Ancient Egyptian Women, As Nefertiti And... Legendary women such as Nefertiti and Cleopatra are the powerful faces of Ancient Egypt that are well known throughout the world, but the details on the lives of ordinary Egyptian women are much more obscure. Many goddesses and other important female figures have been a prevalent topic of study in the ancient Egyptian world, however, the knowledge of how normal women spent their days is not nearly as common. The development of the roles and status of women in ancient Egypt as well as their everyday lives and their impact on society was essential to the advancement of the civilization as a whole. The richest and most primary source other than written text was the artwork that is commonly associated with tombs; for instance, funerary models, reliefs, and wall paintings. Since men were typically the ones who would commission and create conceptual and representational art, many aspects of women s lives were ignored or neglected. It was also very rare for female roles to be included in historical documents from the era because they seldom held high government positions, even though the idea of women being in power was not unheard of or uncommon between 3,000 and 1,000 BC. This research paper will be exploring a wide variety of details in ancient Egyptian women s lives such as marriage, domestic living, legal and political rights, religion, and women of power. Ancient Egyptian women were granted social liberties, individual freedom, and even legal rights equal to those of ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The guilt inside me is eating me alive it s growing and growing. The pain is invading my whole body. Let me start from the beginning, then will it all begin to make sense. I hated the man with a passion, the mere thought of him made me sick to my stomach. You could say that I haven t been the same since that day. I hardly eat and I like to keep to myself. She had the power to do something to stop it, to stop that disgusting act. But she didn t, she stood there and watched. She cried and watched but she didn t stop him. Freudian Analysis Of ZuƱi Tale Freudian Analysis of ZuƱi Tale Sigmund Freud, the famed Austrian neurologist, pioneered the process of psychoanalysis, which was intended to be a clinical method to treat neurosis and other forms of psychopathology. However, it has also found use in analyzing stories, dreams, and myths. Freud s method of developing latent thoughts through manifest content will be demonstrated in the following paper, which focuses on a ZuƱi folktale called The Ugly Wild Boy Who Drove the Bear Away from South Eastern Mesa. The story is about a young boy who lives with his grandmother near a village called K iĆ”kime. This boy is unlike others in that he is frightfully ugly ; with scars all over his body, he suffers from distorted facial features and abnormal growths on his head. One season it rains heavily in the Southeastern Mesa near K iĆ”kime, bringing forth fresh growth like nuts from piƱon trees, fruit from datilas, and seeds from the gray grass and redtop. Unfortunately, the bear prevents the village from gathering the fruit, which drives the story s main conflict. A towering, violent animal, the bear is the principle foe of the boy, and further affirms the notion of the simpleton hero story; in comparison, the boy is weak, yet he can defy all odds and defeat a more powerful enemy. Little did I know how much of my design OCD my job would trigger. After an infinite three hours of standing, greeting and serving people I was asked to shovel heaps of ice, and winter hadn t even started yet! The last hour of my shift at the cafĆ© involved me shoveling ice out of refrigerator deli cases, reeling the ice to the back of the kitchen, using all my might to dump heavy baskets of ice into the sink and then the best part: running hot water over the ice for over fifteen minutes to melt the ice. This was the first time I had seen water being used to melt ice. Coming from a country with a huge water scarcity problem, I could not accept that I had to waste such large quantities of water on my job. So I did the next best thing I could think of, I talked to my adviser and checked if there was any way we could carry out this process while wasting lesser amounts of water and I was shut down with the reply please do the work you have been assigned . Another struggle I faced was that when I put the ice into the sink, I noticed that most of the food that fell on the ice, clogged the sink. Stories that we could relate to may give us an idea on how we perceive our actions, which questions our view on morality as well. In The Canterbury Tales by Geoffrey Chaucer, there is a tale that covers how we must be careful of the things that we will say, because our words are as powerful as a sword. The Manciple s Tale of the Crow narrates the story of Phoebus. Phoebus possesses the ideal characteristics of a man handsome, brave, and talented. He has a pet, a white crow that speaks and sings more beautifully than a nightingale. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... In contrast, people committed acts that are considered immoral, like adultery. In this tale the storyteller built the idea that one should not tell the truth if it only hurts the other, which could possibly worsen the situation. Another issue that is associated in this tale is how women are perceived during that time. Phoebus caged his wife because he is jealous. This situation may be the reason why his wife had an affair. Nonetheless, this poses inequality in terms of how women are treated. As a whole, this tale represents the justification of a certain act given its possible outcomes. In which in the story, the crow should have not told Phoebus the truth for it will only worsen the situation. One must critically examine the situation whether a response should be established immediately. The Canterbury Tales may be written for us to realize the different things that are around us. A Research Study On Radio Frequency Identification This short research paper describes how various industries around the world have changed the way to do their inventories with the implementation of RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) tags in their items. This is not only more efficient and accurate, but also easier to use and faster than other methods. The RFID tag has the same function than a long established barcode administering an exclusive identifier for each item. The aura of the African American community dramatically shifted after the brutal murder of an African American teenager, Emit Till and the severe violence towards African American protestors in Birmingham, Alabama. Civil Rights organizations came together and discussed ways to more affectively portray their disgust, outrage, and misery in response to the continuous tragedies and horrors that occurred throughout the country. Men and women of the African American community, along with many whites, joined together to put their anger into action in hopes of setting a path for freedom and equality. • 20. The Rise Of A New Leader, Adolf Hitler, And His Party American author and writer Paul Auster once said; The world is so unpredictable. Things happen suddenly, unexpectedly. We want to feel we are in control of our own existence. In some ways we are, in some ways we re not. We are ruled by the forces of chance and coincidence. The early 1930s continued to be a time of worldwide economic depression and the lasting humiliation of being defeated earlier in World War I caused a lack of confidence in Germany s weak government. Due to these conditions, Germans were desperate for the leadership of one who would turn their country around. This provided the chance for the rise of a new leader, Adolf Hitler, and his party, the National Socialist German Workers Party. An unemployed soldier after fighting in World War I, Hitler engaged himself as a politically active individual joining the Nazi Party. Shortly after joining, Hitler proved to be such a powerful public speaker and organizer that he quickly became the party s leader. Calling himself Der Fuhrer the Leader he promised to bring Germany out of chaos (the book). As part of the Nazi Party, Hitler implemented government policies based on anti Semitism and racism. Nazism, which is a specific type of fascism, believed in a superior race; Germans especially blue eyed, blond haired Aryans formed a master race that was destined to rule the world. Inferior races, such as Jews, Slavs, and all nonwhites, were deemed fit only to serve the Aryans (the book). From 1919 ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Since the seventeenth century, doctors have understood that if the pustules merge into sheets across the body the victim will usually die: the virus has split the whole skin. If the victim survives, the pustules turn into scabs and fall off, leaving scars. This is known as ordinary smallpox. Some people develop extreme smallpox, which is loosely called black pox. Doctors separate black pox into two forms flat smallpox and hemorrhagic smallpox. In a case of flat smallpox, the skin remains smooth and doesn t pustulate, but it darkens until it looks charred, and it can slip off the body in sheets. In hemorrhagic smallpox, black, unclotted blood oozes or runs from the mouth and other body orifices. Black pox is close to a hundred per cent fatal. If any sign of it appears in the body, the victim will almost certainly die. In the bloody cases, the virus destroys the linings of the throat, the stomach, the intestines, the rectum, and the vagina, and these membranes disintegrate. Fatal smallpox can destroy the body s entire skin both the exterior skin and the interior skin that lines the passages of the body. Smallpox virus s scientific name is variola. Motivation and Problem Formulation Application of game theoretic approach to individual nodes distributes the responsibility of security to all the nodes in the network thus reducing the loop holes in the security. The Game Theory approach explored in recent times addressing security issues in MANET focuses mostly on networks having central administration involving only 2 players i.e. attacker and defender. We propose a novel game theoretic approach with multiple players for security in MANETs. In a distributed environment there is no central administration and hence each node has to defend himself from the attacks. We propose a dynamic mean ļ¬eld game theoretic approach to enable an individual node in MANETs to make strategic security defense decisions without centralized administration. In the proposed mean ļ¬eld game theoretic approach, each node only needs to know its own state information and the aggregate effect of the other nodes in the MANET[2], making nodes self reliable against attacks.
