James Baldwin s Fifth Avenue, Uptown Essay example
In his collection of essays in Nobody Knows My Name, James Baldwin uses Fifth Avenue, Uptown to
establish the focus that African Americans no matter where they are positioned would be judged just
by the color of their skin. Through his effective use of descriptive word choice, writing style and tone,
Baldwin helps the reader visualize his position on the subject. He argues that Negroes want to be
treated like men (Baldwin, 67). Baldwin gives a vivid sketch of the depressing conditions he grew up
on in Fifth Avenue, Uptown by using strong descriptive words. He makes use of such word choices in
his beginning sentences when he reflects back to his house which is now replaced by housing projects
and one of those stunted city trees is ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
He goes on describing the poorly executed good intentions to rehabilitate the area, executions that
infer the lack of importance that the Whites have on the environment of African Americans.
Throughout his essay, Baldwin makes numerous use of italicize words or sentences to state a strong
fact that he agrees with or deems important to readers. By italicizing that Negroes want to be treated
like men , Baldwin clearly states his position. The extent, to which he uses this writing technique,
signifies that he not only speaks for himself but also for his Community, Harlem. Aside from using
italics Baldwin makes use of lengthy sentences, that are sustain with breaks such as hyphens and
dashes, and a tone of sarcasm to affirm his position in the matter. He goes into hesitations when
writing the lengthy sentences by including the dashes, which suggests that he is not only sustaining his
position but also indicating that he has an experienced idea of what he is expressing. Baldwin`s degree
of sarcasm in the opening paragraphs, is used to give an idea of how poorly their environment is but
more over to show the insignificance that their environment has on others and their lack of attempt to
rehabilitate it. James Baldwin argues that such Frustrations, so long endured, is driving many strong,
admirable men and women whose only crime is color

The Dangers Of Racial Profiling
Racial profiling is the act of suspecting or targeting a person, based on observations of a person
character or behavior (Hayle, S., Wortley, S., Tanner, J.,
2016). Racial profiling is not a new concept; it has been a practice for quite some time. Racial
profiling is quite common in the African American communities. Small groups of African American
males are often the target. The act is carried out by white police officers. Although a common practice
of white versus black, racial profiling may affect other ethnic groups as well. More so, racial profiling
occurs when the police judge a person based on race, behavior, or group affiliation (Hayle, S.,
Wortley,
S., Tanner, J., 2016). According to (Hayle, S., Wortley, S., Tanner, J., ... Show more content on

The court overturned the ruling stating that the suspect was not seized, when the DEA agent approach.
The actions of the DEA violated the consent rule. The subject, in this case, should have been given the
right to consent to a search and seizure. Failure to give the subject this right violated Mendenhall
Fourth Amendment right.
Racial profiling is also evident in the case, Bennet vs. City of Eastpointe a case that took place in
Eastpointe, Detroit (Boyce, 2005). The Bennet vs City of Eastpointe case involves racial profiling and
a case that violates a person s Fourth Amendment rights. According to Boyce (Bicycling while black),
Eastpointe police pulled over a couple of black men that were riding on their bikes (2016). It was
believed that the police pulled them over because they were black. Eastpointe police, however,
claimed that they were instructed to find young black men who were responsible for many bike thefts.
The court found that the defendant s rights were violated and was not protected unreasonable search.
Despite the courts rationale, the evidence did not support just cause. The defense attorney for the

The Bihar Fodder Scam
Bihar has become a byword for the worst of India, of widespread and inescapable poverty, of corrupt
politicians indistinguishable from mafia dons they patronise, caste ridden social order that has retained
the worst feudal cruelties....of chronic misrule that has allowed infrastructure to crumble, the
education and health system to collapse, and law and order to evaporate (Long, 2004, p.17 18). India
has witnessed many scams over the years, and the number keeps increasing by the day. It is most
commonly the chief ministers, state and central ministers and members of various political parties who
are often reported for their involvement in scams. This article presents a descriptive and exploratory
analysis of informal money transfer relating to one such infamous case of Bihar Fodder Scam . The
article also delves into the core ethical issues involved, and the best way for the concerned
government bodies to respond to such cases of corruption in order to reduce such misconducts. The
World Bank defines corruption as the abuse of public power for private benefit (Worldbank, 1997).
The Animal Husbandry Scam a.k.a the Fodder Scam, is a clear example of this definition. The case in
question is a consequence of the incessant greed of politicians for money and power. It is reported that
about Rs. 950 crore were embezzled from the government treasuries of Bihar in this 17 year long case
(Indian Express, 2014). Despite being the third most populated state of the country and

Theseus And Palamon
Theseus, the leader of Athens, is going down a road and he sees four women crying on their knees. He
asks them why they are crying and they say that their husbands were killed at the siege of Thebes and
Creon, ruler of Thebes, would not let their husband s remains be recovered from the field (912 951).
He heard this and was so emotionally moved that he decided to march on Thebes and take back their
bodies. He lead his army to Thebes and captured Thebes. After the battle he saw two men from Thebes
who were barely alive named Arcite and Palamon. Theseus took them to his tent and had them healed
but they were confined to a prison in Athens after Theseus withdrew from Thebes. While in the tower
Palamon was pacing around his cell and he saw Emelye

Monaco Essay
Four years ago, AS Monaco FC wanted to enter the elite of Europe. They just spent two years in the
darkness of Ligue 2 and were finally back in France s top division, Ligue 1. They were also filthy rich.
Not only did they want become a Ligue 1 regular and finish top of the table, they wanted to challenge
and compete among the best in Europe. The easiest way to achieve this dream of glory was to follow
the example set by their league rivals, Paris Saint Germain. To do so, all Monaco needed to do was to
spend, spend, and spend a little bit more. Hoping it would bring new riches to their dusty trophy

Manchester United bought the most expensive player in the world, Paul Pogba, not even a year ago,
and are looking doing the exact same thing this upcoming summer. The same summer that Manchester
United announced Pogba was returning to Old Trafford, Juventus bought Gonzalo Higuian for an
Italian football transfer fee. This year, Real Madrid just spent about $50 million on Brazilian
wonderkid Vinicius Junior who is 16 years old. Manchester City also just signed Monaco s Bernardo
Silva for $55 million. Then everyone is after Monaco s 18 year old Kylian Mbappe who will
command more $100 million. These are just a few examples that come to mind. Regardless of age,
although younger being better, clubs will spend whatever it takes for a player because they simply
need his services. Hyperinflation is no doubt part of the reason for the astronomical transfer fees, but
there is also a demand a demand of winning now, which translates to being lazy and hoping buying, or

because of leading economic and technological advances, and fell due to a successor s cruelness that

A Short Story Of Aeldra s Life Story
No luck she never had the chance to be happy. Aeldra couldn t handle it anymore. She was all by
herself growing up in a destroyed, impoverished cabin surviving more than living, always begging for
food on the street and never had anyone to be with except her parents everyday in her dreams. Her
horrible life story started when she was only a three month baby when her father Deniz died on a trip
in the sea, and a nine year old little girl when her mother Bora was killed in a hurricane. Destiny or
maybe just the name curse, Aeldra wasn t sure what it was. Deniz means sea in Turkish and Bora has
the meaning of hurricane and that is where their life ended, where their destiny landed them at the end
so Aeldra made a promise to herself to call her first born baby Hakan which meant emperor so the
destiny would make him the ruler. Aeldra hated the fact of being lonely and a family was what she
desired the most in her life. A need to belong, to be part of something, that was all she wanted from
this world but at the age of sixteen she got the most horrible lesson on her life: Better off alone than
with monsters. She got raped on a rainy night while she was alone in the street and from that horrific
experience, she got pregnant. She was too young to be a mother, too poor to have a baby so even it
hurt her heart the most she decided to get rid of the life that was growing inside her. She was four

Okay, this one is an obvious but major benefit of long distance running. Nothing else can burn your
calories like a long run can. Do you know that running burns calories faster than any other physical
activity or exercise in the world. It turns your body into a fat burning machine. You can burn more

The Battle Of Vikings Essay
The history of Norway is a story of harsh, unforgiving environment and near constant conflict with its
neighbors. As the last ice age ended and rising temperatures finally made Norway habitable in 7,000
BC, the first human settlers arrived in Norway. For the next 4,000 years, these first settlers relied
solely on hunting and fishing, until the introduction of farming in 3,000 BC. By the 9th century AD,
the famous Vikings based out of Norway were raiding towns and cities throughout Europe. Despite the
belief that the Vikings were one united group, Norway was still at this time split into dozens of
independent tribes. The first man to call himself king of Norway was Harald Fairhair in the 9th
century. Despite his claim to be king of all of Norway, Harald Fairhair only controlled the western
coast of the country. In the centuries following Fairhairs death, several kings claimed Norway, with
varying degrees of success and control. In 1060, one of these kings, Olaf Haraldson, even attempted a
failed invasion of England.
In 1130 AD, Norway was plunged into a series of violent civil wars. These conflicts continued until, in
1217 King Haakon finally returned stability and peace to the battered nation. During King Haakon s

The Norwegian assembly began to demand more independence from Sweden. Sweden continually
refused these demands; negotiations went on for the next decade until they finally broke down in

new government in Norway. In June 1905 politician Christian Michelsen argued that the Swedish king
had effectively abdicated by failing to appoint a new government. He was no longer acting as king of
Norway. So the Storting declared that the union with Sweden was dissolved because of the king
ceasing to function as a Norwegian king . On

Essay on Imperialism in America
Imperialism in America
At the turn of the century, America and the views of its people were changing. Many different ideas
were surfacing about issues that affected the country as a whole. The Republican Party, led by William
McKinley, were concentrating on the expansion of the United States and looking to excel in power
and commerce. The Democratic Party at this time was led by William Jennings Bryan, who was
absorbed in a sponge of morality and was concerned with the rights of man. The nation s self interest
was divided into different ideas between the two parties. At this time imperialism and anti imperialism
were the dominant topics regarding America s destiny.
One argument backing U.S. imperialism is by naval ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In turn it was just easier and more accessible to the Chinese market if the U.S. had stake in the
Philippines.
All of these articles demonstrate a very high self interest and also somewhat aggressive outlook on
U.S. imperialism. All three seem to agree that expansion equaled commerce, which in turn equaled
power. The articles chiefly suggest that other nations would be privileged to have the U.S. control
them. They all take basically the same ethnocentric view that the U.S. is best.
On the reverse was the anti imperialistic argument. This argument was supported by Democratic
presidential nominee, William Jennings Bryan and the National Liberty Congress of Anti Imperialists.
Bryan was a very moral person and was concerned with the freedom of all men. He believed that
expansion was wrong because the U.S. was trying to constitutionalize lands and people out of its
jurisdiction. He felt that people s rights were being sacrificed for cash flow. In reference to dealing
with the Filipino problem, he proposed that the U.S. merely aid rather than control. The U.S. was able
to help Cuba stabilize a government while protecting them with the Monroe Doctrine. Bryan felt that
the same solution could have been asserted to the Philippines problem. The difference in the self
interest of Anti imperialists is that they are viewing it from the Filipinos point of view.
The annexation of the Philippines was justified by President William McKinley in 1898,

Women s National Basketball Association Essay
The Women s National Basketball Association, more commonly known as the WNBA, is a
professional basketball league consisting of 12 teams spanning across the United States. The league
was founded in 1996 but didn t officially kick off until 1997. While it s not the first major women s
professional basketball league in the United States, the WNBA is the only league that has received full
backing from the National Basketball Association, more commonly, the NBA. Now in its 20th season
under the direction of league president Lisa Borders, the regular season is played from June to
September with the playoffs spanning through the remainder of September into the middle of October.
Although they have the full backing from the NBA, there are still a few discrepancies between the two
leagues. Even though WNBA games are not as exciting as NBA games, the players of the WNBA
deserve equal pay because the team mindset makes the game more challenging, players continue to
show their hard work in the offseason by playing overseas, and they inspire young girls by providing
for charities as a result of their work. There is the idea that the WNBA is less exciting than the NBA
due to the lack of dunking. The dunk, or the alley oop (lob to the dunk) has become an intricate part of
the men s game but it is not so often used in the woman s. While the average NBA player stands at
about 6 3 , the average WNBA player is only about 5 10 . With this in mind, almost every single NBA

American Prisons And Justice System
One simple question asked by many familiar with the American prison system is Is it Effective? The
word effectiveness can take on many meanings such as cost effective or effective in reducing
recidivism. Recidivism, according to Merriam Webster dictionary, is the tendency to relapse into a
previous condition or mode of behavior; especially: relapse into criminal behavior . In the United
States, the time of relapse into criminal behavior has been measured by as much as 8 years by the
Bureau of Justice. It is the belief of many professionals and experts that American prisons are both
cost ineffective, and ineffective in reducing recidivism rates. The focus of American prisons and
justice system is primarily to punish the criminal. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This may be a bleak revelation and to many it would not be considered a surprising statistic. But, there
is a flip side. The flip side is that 23.4% of ex offenders reformed themselves. Lumping lawbreakers
into a correctional facility won t help all of them, but it will rehabilitate some of them a lot (Bozelko,
Chandra 2017). Nearly a quarter of inmates discharged from prison were reformed. This is taking into
account the lack of rehabilitation and education programs, living conditions, and safety provided in
current private or state prison facilities. So without directly and purposely focusing on improving
inmates so when released into society, they are a productive member of the working class, a
respectable twenty five percent are changed for the better. These results are arguably satisfactory
because of the annual cost to the taxpayer but nonetheless, they prove that inmates can indeed change
for the better. We can begin to examine if the cost outweigh the benefits or results given the recidivism
rate. Given the recidivism statistics, we can examine the current American conditions in prison
facilities that produce these results. Many Americans are aware of the living conditions, crime, and
lack of treatment and security in current prison. In

A Farewell Of Arms By Ernest Hemingway
In his novel A Farewell to Arms Ernest Hemingway wrote, We re going to have a strange life. (D). His
life was not ordinary by any means; he became the voice of his generation with his poignant works
capturing the emotions of the American people after World War I. In his novel A Farewell to Arms
Ernest Hemingway attempts to demonstrate through the characters of Frederic Henry and Rinaldi the
feelings of horror and disillusionment the people of the Modern era tried to escape.
Ernest Miller Hemingway was born on July 21, 1899, in the suburbs of Chicago to a middle class
family. As the oldest of six children, Hemingway was very close with his mother even though he often
disagreed with her values (Shuman, R. Baird 897). Hemingway s passion for the outdoors was
instilled in him at a young age when his family would spend summers in the woods of northern
Michigan ( Hemingway, Ernest ). After graduating from Oak Park High School in 1917, Hemingway
decided to continue doing what he loved instead of going to college; he began working for The Kansas
City Star as a reporter where he began to develop his unique writing style (Shuman, R. Baird 897).
After the newspaper ran an article about the war, Hemingway decided to enlist ( Hemingway, Ernest ).
Hemingway was disappointed when he was quickly rejected by the U.S. Army because of his poor
eyesight; determined to help Hemingway joined the Red Cross and was sent to the Italian Austrian

Antisocial Personality Disorder Analysis
People suffering from an antisocial personality disorder exhibit extreme disregard for and violation of
the rights of others (Kearney Trull, 2015, p. 296). Individuals with this disorder are often reckless and
impulsive when it comes to the safety of others and they lack remorse for the harm they inflict

from those suffering from this disorder is whether when they were inflicting harm upon others did
they at the time understand right from wrong and can they be held accountable for their actions? Court

Conflicts In I Am Malala
The novel I am Malala conflicts a lot with the beliefs of the world right now. The Taliban was the
main focus of the text as it was the main reason behind Malala and her country s pain. The conflicts
with my view of the world is very similar and very different at the same time. I agree with Malala s
beliefs about education right. I believe that education should be equally given to all the children no
matter what gender they are, how old they are, where they live and what s their status. All people
should have the right to go school without being afraid. In the quote, One child, one teacher, one book,
one pen can change the world. This means if we all have the knowledge and education the world
would be a better place in the future. Without education we wouldn t have the capability of
interpreting things, building a perspective of looking at life. It helps us discover ourselves and our
environment to help us make educated choices in the future. Therefore it is vital for every person to
have a good education. Another thing I agree with Malala is that every woman should have the right to
make their own decision about their body, who they want to marry, the way they want to learn, when
and where they want to learn. In the novel, Malala talks about how her cousins and friends were
getting married and having kids with men that their parents to let their child to get married to a man

Thrombocythemia Research Paper
Essential Thromboycythemia, also sometimes referred to as idiopathic thrombocythemia, essential
thrombocytosis and ET, is a rare blood disorder. Those affected with this disorder produce too many
blood platelets. Platelets also known as thrombocytes are colorless blood cells that aide in the stopping
of bleeding when an injury has occurred. While the platelet counts in a person with ET are high the
red and white blood cell counts of those individuals are generally normal. Occasionally one might
have a slightly elevated number of white blood cells too. Often times symptoms of thrombocythemia
will become apparent when a blood clot forms somewhere in the body. Increased number of platelets
in the blood make the propensity to form a blood clot a huge risk. Symptoms of essential
thrombocythemia are largely based on where a clot may have formed in the body. Some symptoms
include but are not limited to: fatigue, headache, feelings of being lightheaded, noticeable changes in
eyesight clarity, dizziness, chest pain, erythromelagia (redness, throbbing, or burnig in the hands and

Evolution And Development Of Operation Management
Introduction
People can say that operations management has existed since man start to produced goods and
services to meet their needs and necessities. Although, the origin of operations may be come from
ancient civilizations, their major evolution in history is practically refers to the last 250 years.
Therefore, the story is presented in accordance with the most important contributions or primitive
impulses and not strictly chronological terms. There are several important areas that have contributed
to the evolution and development of operation management.
One of the key factor and influence on history of this development is the industrial revolution. In the
eighteenth century in England there it occurred a development called Industrial Revolution. This
development comprised two main aspects: the widespread substitution of human, animal and water
power machines; it originates a second aspect that was the establishment of the factory system. The
steam engine invented by James Watt in 1764, provided the necessary mechanical power to factories,
others parallel events as the creation and concentration of workers at the factories. This development
gave workers and factories a need to organize for a more logical, faster and efficient completion of
tasks (Qureshi, 2015).
The Industrial Revolution spread to England and other European nations and the United States. This
was more accelerated in the late eighteenth century with the development of the petrol engine and

Bloomberg s Commitment to Public Health
Bloomberg s commitment to public health was certainly strong throughout his time as mayor of New
York. On the one hand, he understood the importance in addressing some of the largest health issues
of our time. On the other however, it seems that many of his policies were made without proper
scientific evidence and backing and were made based on his own personal philosophies rather those of
the people they affected. He himself said I just spent roughly $600 million of my own money to try to
stop the scourge of tobacco {NYT}
Positive Aspects:
The Mayor took charge of the fight against numerous issues and implemented some of the strictest
public health legislation in the world. Some of the more notable examples were his stances on
smoking and obesity. Not only did Bloomberg make policies, which directly addressed the core cause
of the issues, but also he succeeded in levying the blame and burden of these policies upon the
industries that were profiteering at the cost of the public s health. Among the most significant of these
policies were the efforts to tax sugary drinks and ban others in a move that stated that the sale of any
cup or bottle of sweetened drink larger than 16 fluid ounces about the size of a medium coffee, and
smaller than a common soda bottle would be prohibited {NYT}. Evidently, this policy was aimed at
reducing the runaway obesity rates that were being experienced in New York City. Additionally, the
smoking ban in restaurants and in the work

Hernia Hiatal Rating
I humbly disagree with the discussion of my rating percentage. The rating for my Hernia Hiatal and
Esophageal spasm should be rated as two separate diagnoses. In the VA schedule of rating under the
digestive system they are under two different diagnostic codes, Hernia Hiatal is coded under 7346 and
esophageal spasm is 7204. My evaluation for esophageal spasm should be warrants a rating of 50%,
according to the diagnostic code 7204. It reads If not amenable to dilation, rate as for the degree of
obstruction (stricture) . In my medical records that was sent to the VA for review, they are documents
that clearly shows that on 3+ separate occasions I was dilated in hopes to repair my esophageal spasm,

Emile Durkheim s Theoretical Typology Of Suicide
Emile Durkheim was well known sociologist famous for his views on the structures of society. During
his theory development, He discovered four kinds of suicide committed by people in the society in
which they are living in. Durkheim developed a theoretical typology of suicide to explain the differing
effects of social factors and how they might lead to suicide. They are as follows: Anomic suicide
happens when a person experiences a sense of disconnection from society and a feeling of not
belonging that result from weakened social cohesion. Anomie occurs during period of serious social,
economic, or political upheaval, which results in quick and extreme changes to society and everyday
life. In such circumstances a person might feel so confused and disconnected that they choose to
commit suicide. For example, some people have house and car that they are paying on mortgage,
when they lose their jobs, the bank takes all their fortune back because they can pay the credit, and at
that point they can commit a suicide. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

How did the Second World War Influenced the Economy of Germany?
Introduction:
As war impacts all aspects of the country involved, economy is one of the most heavily hit, as seen in
Germany through WWII. Before the Second World War Germany was deeply separated due to the
Treaty of Versailles which cut Germany s industrial west from it populous east. However Hitler
through his political acts wished to unify these halves of the same whole. As an act of unifying the
country Hitler placed the Jews and other undesirables at the center of the blame for the happening in
the German economy. Additionally, the persecution of the Jews skewed the data that is represented
today because of the alienation of the Jews as citizens they were not included in the statistics collected
at the time. Additionally, women were taken out of the data collection furthering the false validity of
the statistics presented by the Nazi Party. How did the persecution of the Jews influence the
inaccuracy of the data and statistics taken at this time? What impact did Hitler have on the German
economy? How did Hitler unifying Germany aid in its economic recovery? How did Hitler s attempt
at European domination lead to the defeat of Germany during WWII? How did the money system in
place before the end of the war compare to the money system after the war ceased?

A Meteor will Strike the Earth and Destroy All Life Forms
With millions and millions of meteors hurtling around in our solar system, there s always a chance that
one could hit Earth at any moment. But what would be the consequences and how would the Earth be
affected if one does happen to hit? If an object from space hit the sea, a huge tidal wave would be
formed, hundreds of meters high, which would leave most of the world under water for a period of
time, destroying and killing everything in it s way. This would have a catastrophic effect on the Earth,
as most people would be killed, and leaving countries powerless, unable to do anything. Crops would
also be destroyed, starvation would kill all of the survivors, homes would ... Show more content on

Scientists have never proven this to be 100 % true, but it is one of the beliefs on how the dinosaurs
became extinct. Both scientists and paleontologists, feel that a meteor must of hit Earth, a few million
years ago, killing the dinosaurs. The meteor that might of wiped out the dinosaurs also could have
brought about the ice age, because of the huge dust cloud that was thrown into the air.
Also, even though this meteor strike never hit Earth, the world watched in awe as thousands of
meteors hit the planet Jupiter two years ago. For about one week, many meteors collided into Jupiter
causing huge craters on it s surface. If the meteors hit the Earth instead of Jupiter the world might
have been destroyed. Almost every American has to know of the crater in Arizona. About
49,000 years ago, a 150 foot meteor hit into the present day state of Arizona. This is the biggest crater
in the United States.
Throughout time, there have been many meteors that have hit
Earth causing great damage, but the scary thing is that there are still trillions and trillions of meteors
right outside our planet. In the Milky Way, the Earth is one of the planets with the greatest chance of
getting hit by a meteor. The Earth is only one planet away from the Asteroid Belt, which is located
between Mars and Jupiter. At any moment, a meteor could break free and head straight towards Earth.

Often times power comes in many forms strength is a kind of power. Since Gilgamesh has no match in
regards to strength that makes him superior. Superior meaning, the highest being that rules overall.
Gilgamesh meets someone who also has the same strength him. The person was Enkidu, who was sent
down from the gods. In the beginning of their friendship, both bumped heads a lot, until they realized
that they both had equal strength. Besides Enkidu it was no one else who had the same strength as
him. The two of them was like Batman and Robin, until Enkidu dies. We witnessed the transformation
of Gilgamesh s heroic indifference to death.... said by Tzvi Abush. I agree with this statement because
The Death of Enkidu had a big impact on Gilgamesh and also his power. The death of Enkidu made
Gilgamesh open his eyes more. I guess you can say that Gilgamesh humbled himself way more.

The Opera Rigoletto At The Metropolitan Opera
The opera Rigoletto at the Metropolitan Opera was conducted by Pablo Heras Casado. The three
principal singers were Piotr Beczala as the Duke, Zeljko Lucic as Rigoletto and Olga Peretyatko as
Gilda. This being my first opera, I was surprised by how large and grandiose the house was, which is
in sharp contrast to my typical experience when I see musicals. The production decided to place a
modern twist on the setting of the opera, rather than the original setting of 16th century Italy, the story
is placed in Las Vegas in the 20th century. The set is constructed to reflect that in the first act with a
casino scene complete with neon lights, card tables and roulette. In my opinion, this all seemed to
distract the viewer from the story and the change in setting didn t enhance the production itself. Rather
it made me think about how out of place this all was instead of focusing on the opera itself. The first
act was fairly difficult for me to suspend disbelief and get into the plot of the opera. This had much to
do with me being initially turned off by the casino as the setting for this opera. Although in later acts I
was able to move past the modern set that was only because this set became less pronounced in the
second and third acts.
Now moving on to the aria s the three I will be focusing on will be the Aria from the Duke La Donna e
Mobile, Bella figlia dell amore, and Della vendetta alfin giunge l´istante . These scenes effectively
move the audience through their repetition

Gender Roles in Shakespeare Essay
It is a peculiar feature of Shakespeare s plays that they both participate in and
reflect the ideas of gender roles in Western society. To the extent that they reflect existing
notions about the proper roles of men and women, they can be said to be a product of
their society. However, since they have been studied, performed, and taught for five
hundred years, they may be seen as formative of contemporary notions about the
relationships between males, females, and power.
Derrida was right in asserting that quot;there is no outside to the text. quot; His claim is that every text
is
affected by every other text and every other speech act. As an instance, most of Shakespeare s
plays have ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Elizabethan society had a loosely determined set of normal behaviors that are frequently
linked to gender. Despite diffusion of these gender expectations in both time periods (see
Dollimore, Traub), there are definite behaviors that either lie within the constructs of gender or
exceed/transgress patterns accepted as conventional. Through the mechanisms of exaggeration or
transgression, Shakespeare s comedies focus attention on the matter of gender and derive comedy
from the situations created. Characters that are natural representations of their gender do not
contain the same possibilities for comedy.
Beatrice says quot;O, that I were a man quot; (Much Ado About Nothing, IV.i.303), implying in
context that her gender has made it impossible for her to act. Other female characters in
Shakespeare do take on male roles, and whether it is because their true identity is hidden or simply
by virtue of their acceptance as non female, they are able to function in the text in ways
that an undisguised female character could not. Rosalind/Ganymede instructs Orlando in the ways
of love. Viola/Cesario enters Orsino s house and, consequentially, his heart. Portia argues a case
at law; actually serving as a judge in a dispute involving her new husband s best friend. In
assuming a man s role, these women overcome the limitations to which Beatrice finds her sex
subjected.

WORKING COMPUTERS, INC.
Jennifer Sobey, an analyst in the headquarters of Working Computers, has been asked to evaluate
whether or not Working should sell a division of the firm which has been losing market share and
requires a great deal of new investment to remain competitive. The ailing product is a personal data
appliance, or PDA, that once led the market in features and innovation, only to fall prey to
competition from numerous firms once it had paved the way for the product category. Complicating
Jennifer s analysis and recommendation are several political issues involving the wayward division. In
particular, Working s recently returned CEO, Stewart Workman, has decided that the product (the

The division expected to sell a total of 300,000 units by the end of 2003 at a price of $495 each. The
model expected to ship beginning in late 2004 would sell at the same price point. The division s
managers estimated, though, that the revised Bernoulli would have cost of goods sold of 54 percent of
the retail price with higher operating expenses of 26 percent due to increased advertising. Given the
competitive nature of the industry, these price point and cost estimates are expected to remain the
same for the next several years.
For strategic planning purposes, Working s management allocated depreciation to the existing
Bernoulli division as though the entire division was an asset and depreciated it using the straight line
method over 10 years, with five years of operation behind it. The initial investment of $56 million had
been made in early 1999. The new funds allocated to the division would be treated similarly, except
that management had decided that any new investment would be depreciated using the straight line
method over 5 years; due to changes in the industry since 1999, this was expected to be more
consistent with the nature of the market for computing devices and PDAs. Working s managers used a
weighted average cost of capital, or hurdle rate, of 14.5 percent when evaluating capital budgeting
projects, and Jennifer felt that this would be an appropriate

The Anxiety Of Anti Semitism
What caused the arousal of anti Semitism in the late nineteenth century was not due to a close
examination of the Jewish customs or a vast plan to eliminate Jews from Germany. In fact the answer
is so much simpler and it is an issue that the world still finds at the route of it s problems today. A
word as simple as jealousy is the source of a hatred so strong that it ended up killing millions. Anti
Semitism is a product of the strongest type of jealousy, a jealousy that was rooted deep in Germany s
past only to resurface at times of injustice, as the German s saw it. The idea that jealousy is the route
of anti Semitism s spike in the late nineteenth century is arguable to many historians as it just seems

This basic information that the Germans had made the Jewish community an easy target. The fact that
the Jews could partake in these horrible acts of sacrifice and murder is what made Germans believe
they were in the right. When trouble comes around, there has to be someone to point the finger of
blame at and who better to point the finger at than someone who was believed to have done horrible
things in the past? The Butcher s Tale only emphasizes the idea the all was well in the community
until something tragic happened and the blame had to be placed somewhere. The easiest solution was
to blame the Jews. While they had lived together without trouble for so long, there was still that
lingering idea that the Jews were trouble of some sort. Once the blame of the young boys death was all
but put on the Jewish community, it was that much easier to place the blame of other issues on them as
well. This deeply rooted hatred for the Jews brings us to the cause of anti semitism and more
specifically the rise in the late nineteenth century, jealousy. As a period of industrial growth began,
many changes occurred in the every day life of German and Jews. Because of Christian beliefs, many
Germans were religiously unable to hold certain jobs that required them to perform acts that went
against their ideals. This in turn lead to Jewish citizens filling these positions. The changes did not

Celiac Disease Business Plan
Meal Plan: Breakfast: 1 Hardboiled egg, 2 gluten free bread slices, 1 banana Snack: 1 Orange, grapes
Lunch: steamed fish, potato salad, broccoli Snack: peanuts and raisins Dinner: roast chicken breast,
lettuce, gluten free pasta
Avoid: vegetable starch, brewer s yeast, cake, bleached flour, malty beverages, Graham crackers,
regular pasta, regular bread, oats, pizza.(2)
The meal plan doesn t stray far from the normal family diet it is healthy, and delicious even for
children. Celiac disease is a digestive disorder that causes people to have problems consuming foods
containing the protein gluten. It causes damage to their small intestine and may lead to other illnesses.
Because of this people with celiac disease have to avoid eating foods made from the grains wheat, rye,
barley and triticale because they all contain the protein gluten.(3) In addition people with celiac
disease have to avoid foods that may have been manufactured, processed or mixed with any gluten
which is why it is not a surprise that oats falls on the list of foods to avoid as oats are often harvested
and stored or processed in the same facilities and machines as wheat we have to look specifically for
gluten free oats. Baked products containing bleached flour, graham flour or yeast also often contain
gluten. Wheat allergy and gluten sensitivity are different from celiac disease which is a genetic,
autoimmune digestive disorder where when the body tries to digest gluten it induces damage to the
small intestine. Non celiac gluten sensitivity, because celiac disease is a type of gluten sensitivity, on
the other hand is where the body is intolerant to gluten but no small intestine damage occurs while
wheat allergy is where the body rejects gluten and other components of wheat, so we can see that they

Examples Of Inhumanity In Huck Finn
The phrase (Man s inhumanity to man) is first documented in the Robert Burns poem called Man Was

caused by need of power, jealousy, and greed. Throughout history, the inhumane acts committed by
men towards each other have shaped society and defined periods of time. Man s inhumanity to man

Slavery as one of the aspects of the theme of man s inhumanity to man, is debated in many works,
such as in Harriet Beecher Stowe s novel Uncle Tom s Cabin and the memoir of Solomon Northup,

southern states. These books gained attention and eventually ignited the Civil War that paved the way
to the abolition of slavery and the freedom of the African American people. Martin Luther King Jr. s

Global Economy Is Finally Stabilizing Following The Global...
The global economy is finally stabilizing following the global financial crisis and Great Recession.
Our base case outlook for average annual real growth between 2015 and 2020 is between 3 and 4
percent Lower global commodity prices are an important factor supporting stronger economic growth.
Although economies that are dependent on commodity exports may suffer, lower input prices for
industry as well as lower fuel prices for households will provide a boost to aggregate demand and
global growth. We expect emerging economies to continue to grow by more than 4 percent
(contributing $16.2 trillion to global growth through 2020 at market exchange rates), while the growth
rate of advanced economies is forecast to exceed 2 percent (contributing $13.5 trillion through 2020)
for the first time since 2010. The United States is leading the recovery among advanced markets, and
we expect the country to be a significant contributor to global growth through 2020. However, we
anticipate economic performance to continue to diverge within both the emerging and developed
market groupings based on key policy choices, as governments grapple with structural reforms in the
context of reduced fiscal and monetary stimulus. In this regard, strong leadership and bold
government actions will determine whether national economies can escape from the new mediocre of
stable but low growth. Australia resources industry (BHP) Australia has a rich haven of resources in
the oil, gas and energy industries.

The alternative hypothesis for the photosynthesis vs irradiance experiment was initially estimated to

under high light. The results have shown the initial slope (alpha) for the low light was 1.21 and for the
high light was 0.81, therefore low light did have a steeper slope that Ulva grown under low light. This
would be because in the low light Ulva, light is a more of a limiting factor than for the high light Ulva,
therefore the low light algae have adapted to harvest the light to suit their environment. This is done
by rapidly increasing or decreasing the pigment content in response to the light availability levels. By

The predicted hypothesis for this experiment was Ulva grown under low light will have a higher
chlorophyll a content and a higher chlorophyll b content than Ulva grown under high light. The reason
that this assumption was made is because Ulva that is growing in light limiting areas need to be able to
harvest as much light as possible while the light is available. Chlorophyll a is able to absorb light in
the red and blue spectrum while chlorophyll b is able to absorb light at intermediate wavelengths, as
discussed in the introduction. The T tests results that were calculated concluded to be: chlorophyll a
(0.17), chlorophyll b (0.47) and the total chlorophyll (0.37). Since all three p values are greater than
0.05, it can be concluded that there is no difference between the low and high light means, therefore
the predicted (alternate) hypothesis can be rejected. In theory the experiment should have resulted as
the alternative hypothesis predicted, but consequently errors have occurred that have prevents this
outcome. All the class data was combined, therefore nine replications were conducted which would
have eliminated human error, but unfortunately the Ulva used mightn t have been grown under the

  • 2. James Baldwin s Fifth Avenue, Uptown Essay example In his collection of essays in Nobody Knows My Name, James Baldwin uses Fifth Avenue, Uptown to establish the focus that African Americans no matter where they are positioned would be judged just by the color of their skin. Through his effective use of descriptive word choice, writing style and tone, Baldwin helps the reader visualize his position on the subject. He argues that Negroes want to be treated like men (Baldwin, 67). Baldwin gives a vivid sketch of the depressing conditions he grew up on in Fifth Avenue, Uptown by using strong descriptive words. He makes use of such word choices in his beginning sentences when he reflects back to his house which is now replaced by housing projects and one of those stunted city trees is ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... He goes on describing the poorly executed good intentions to rehabilitate the area, executions that infer the lack of importance that the Whites have on the environment of African Americans. Throughout his essay, Baldwin makes numerous use of italicize words or sentences to state a strong fact that he agrees with or deems important to readers. By italicizing that Negroes want to be treated like men , Baldwin clearly states his position. The extent, to which he uses this writing technique, signifies that he not only speaks for himself but also for his Community, Harlem. Aside from using italics Baldwin makes use of lengthy sentences, that are sustain with breaks such as hyphens and dashes, and a tone of sarcasm to affirm his position in the matter. He goes into hesitations when writing the lengthy sentences by including the dashes, which suggests that he is not only sustaining his position but also indicating that he has an experienced idea of what he is expressing. Baldwin`s degree of sarcasm in the opening paragraphs, is used to give an idea of how poorly their environment is but more over to show the insignificance that their environment has on others and their lack of attempt to rehabilitate it. James Baldwin argues that such Frustrations, so long endured, is driving many strong, admirable men and women whose only crime is color ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 3. The Dangers Of Racial Profiling Racial profiling is the act of suspecting or targeting a person, based on observations of a person character or behavior (Hayle, S., Wortley, S., Tanner, J., 2016). Racial profiling is not a new concept; it has been a practice for quite some time. Racial profiling is quite common in the African American communities. Small groups of African American males are often the target. The act is carried out by white police officers. Although a common practice of white versus black, racial profiling may affect other ethnic groups as well. More so, racial profiling occurs when the police judge a person based on race, behavior, or group affiliation (Hayle, S., Wortley, S., Tanner, J., 2016). The actions of the DEA violated the consent rule. The subject, in this case, should have been given the right to consent to a search and seizure. Racial profiling is also evident in the case, Bennet vs. City of Eastpointe a case that took place in Eastpointe, Detroit (Boyce, 2005). The Bennet vs City of Eastpointe case involves racial profiling and a case that violates a person s Fourth Amendment rights. • 4. The Bihar Fodder Scam Bihar has become a byword for the worst of India, of widespread and inescapable poverty, of corrupt politicians indistinguishable from mafia dons they patronise, caste ridden social order that has retained the worst feudal cruelties....of chronic misrule that has allowed infrastructure to crumble, the education and health system to collapse, and law and order to evaporate (Long, 2004, p.17 18). India has witnessed many scams over the years, and the number keeps increasing by the day. It is most commonly the chief ministers, state and central ministers and members of various political parties who are often reported for their involvement in scams. This article presents a descriptive and exploratory analysis of informal money transfer relating to one such infamous case of Bihar Fodder Scam . The article also delves into the core ethical issues involved, and the best way for the concerned government bodies to respond to such cases of corruption in order to reduce such misconducts. The World Bank defines corruption as the abuse of public power for private benefit (Worldbank, 1997). The Animal Husbandry Scam a.k.a the Fodder Scam, is a clear example of this definition. The case in question is a consequence of the incessant greed of politicians for money and power. It is reported that about Rs. 950 crore were embezzled from the government treasuries of Bihar in this 17 year long case (Indian Express, 2014). Then everyone is after Monaco s 18 year old Kylian Mbappe who will command more $100 million. These are just a few examples that come to mind. Regardless of age, although younger being better, clubs will spend whatever it takes for a player because they simply need his services. Hyperinflation is no doubt part of the reason for the astronomical transfer fees, but there is also a demand a demand of winning now, which translates to being lazy and hoping buying, or spending the cash, works out successfully on and off the pitch. • 11. The Battle Of Vikings Essay The history of Norway is a story of harsh, unforgiving environment and near constant conflict with its neighbors. As the last ice age ended and rising temperatures finally made Norway habitable in 7,000 BC, the first human settlers arrived in Norway. For the next 4,000 years, these first settlers relied solely on hunting and fishing, until the introduction of farming in 3,000 BC. By the 9th century AD, the famous Vikings based out of Norway were raiding towns and cities throughout Europe. Despite the belief that the Vikings were one united group, Norway was still at this time split into dozens of independent tribes. The first man to call himself king of Norway was Harald Fairhair in the 9th century. Despite his claim to be king of all of Norway, Harald Fairhair only controlled the western coast of the country. In the centuries following Fairhairs death, several kings claimed Norway, with varying degrees of success and control. In 1060, one of these kings, Olaf Haraldson, even attempted a failed invasion of England. In 1130 AD, Norway was plunged into a series of violent civil wars. Many different ideas were surfacing about issues that affected the country as a whole. The Republican Party, led by William McKinley, were concentrating on the expansion of the United States and looking to excel in power and commerce. The Democratic Party at this time was led by William Jennings Bryan, who was absorbed in a sponge of morality and was concerned with the rights of man. The nation s self interest was divided into different ideas between the two parties. At this time imperialism and anti imperialism were the dominant topics regarding America s destiny. In turn it was just easier and more accessible to the Chinese market if the U.S. had stake in the Philippines. All of these articles demonstrate a very high self interest and also somewhat aggressive outlook on U.S. imperialism. All three seem to agree that expansion equaled commerce, which in turn equaled power. The articles chiefly suggest that other nations would be privileged to have the U.S. control them. They all take basically the same ethnocentric view that the U.S. is best. On the reverse was the anti imperialistic argument. This argument was supported by Democratic presidential nominee, William Jennings Bryan and the National Liberty Congress of Anti Imperialists. Bryan was a very moral person and was concerned with the freedom of all men. He believed that expansion was wrong because the U.S. was trying to constitutionalize lands and people out of its jurisdiction. He felt that people s rights were being sacrificed for cash flow. In reference to dealing with the Filipino problem, he proposed that the U.S. merely aid rather than control. The U.S. was able to help Cuba stabilize a government while protecting them with the Monroe Doctrine. Bryan felt that the same solution could have been asserted to the Philippines problem. The difference in the self interest of Anti imperialists is that they are viewing it from the Filipinos point of view. Women s National Basketball Association Essay The Women s National Basketball Association, more commonly known as the WNBA, is a professional basketball league consisting of 12 teams spanning across the United States. The league was founded in 1996 but didn t officially kick off until 1997. While it s not the first major women s professional basketball league in the United States, the WNBA is the only league that has received full backing from the National Basketball Association, more commonly, the NBA. Now in its 20th season under the direction of league president Lisa Borders, the regular season is played from June to September with the playoffs spanning through the remainder of September into the middle of October. Although they have the full backing from the NBA, there are still a few discrepancies between the two leagues. Even though WNBA games are not as exciting as NBA games, the players of the WNBA deserve equal pay because the team mindset makes the game more challenging, players continue to show their hard work in the offseason by playing overseas, and they inspire young girls by providing for charities as a result of their work. There is the idea that the WNBA is less exciting than the NBA due to the lack of dunking. The dunk, or the alley oop (lob to the dunk) has become an intricate part of the men s game but it is not so often used in the woman s. The word effectiveness can take on many meanings such as cost effective or effective in reducing recidivism. In the United States, the time of relapse into criminal behavior has been measured by as much as 8 years by the Bureau of Justice. This may be a bleak revelation and to many it would not be considered a surprising statistic. But, there is a flip side. The flip side is that 23.4% of ex offenders reformed themselves. Lumping lawbreakers into a correctional facility won t help all of them, but it will rehabilitate some of them a lot (Bozelko, Chandra 2017). Nearly a quarter of inmates discharged from prison were reformed. This is taking into account the lack of rehabilitation and education programs, living conditions, and safety provided in current private or state prison facilities. So without directly and purposely focusing on improving inmates so when released into society, they are a productive member of the working class, a respectable twenty five percent are changed for the better. These results are arguably satisfactory because of the annual cost to the taxpayer but nonetheless, they prove that inmates can indeed change for the better. We can begin to examine if the cost outweigh the benefits or results given the recidivism rate. Given the recidivism statistics, we can examine the current American conditions in prison facilities that produce these results. Many Americans are aware of the living conditions, crime, and lack of treatment and security in current prison. In ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

His life was not ordinary by any means; he became the voice of his generation with his poignant works capturing the emotions of the American people after World War I. In his novel A Farewell to Arms Ernest Hemingway attempts to demonstrate through the characters of Frederic Henry and Rinaldi the feelings of horror and disillusionment the people of the Modern era tried to escape. • 21. Thrombocythemia Research Paper Essential Thromboycythemia, also sometimes referred to as idiopathic thrombocythemia, essential thrombocytosis and ET, is a rare blood disorder. Those affected with this disorder produce too many blood platelets. Platelets also known as thrombocytes are colorless blood cells that aide in the stopping of bleeding when an injury has occurred. While the platelet counts in a person with ET are high the red and white blood cell counts of those individuals are generally normal. Occasionally one might have a slightly elevated number of white blood cells too. Often times symptoms of thrombocythemia will become apparent when a blood clot forms somewhere in the body. Because of this people with celiac disease have to avoid eating foods made from the grains wheat, rye, barley and triticale because they all contain the protein gluten.(3) In addition people with celiac disease have to avoid foods that may have been manufactured, processed or mixed with any gluten which is why it is not a surprise that oats falls on the list of foods to avoid as oats are often harvested and stored or processed in the same facilities and machines as wheat we have to look specifically for gluten free oats. Baked products containing bleached flour, graham flour or yeast also often contain gluten. Wheat allergy and gluten sensitivity are different from celiac disease which is a genetic, autoimmune digestive disorder where when the body tries to digest gluten it induces damage to the small intestine. Non celiac gluten sensitivity, because celiac disease is a type of gluten sensitivity, on the other hand is where the body is intolerant to gluten but no small intestine damage occurs while wheat allergy is where the body rejects gluten and other components of wheat, so we can see that they are ... • 37. Examples Of Inhumanity In Huck Finn The phrase (Man s inhumanity to man) is first documented in the Robert Burns poem called Man Was Made to Mourn, Samuel Von Pufendorf also wrote in 1673, More inhumanity has been done by man himself than any other of nature s causes. (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Man%27s_inhumanity_to_man) Man s inhumanity towards man can be caused by need of power, jealousy, and greed. Throughout history, the inhumane acts committed by men towards each other have shaped society and defined periods of time. Man s inhumanity to man has played a large role in the lives of billions of people who have inhabited the Earth over time. Events such as, crucifixions, medieval torture sessions, gladiator fights, lynchings, genocides, wars, and mass murders will never ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Slavery as one of the aspects of the theme of man s inhumanity to man, is debated in many works, such as in Harriet Beecher Stowe s novel Uncle Tom s Cabin and the memoir of Solomon Northup, Twelve Years a Slave. They spoke about the cruelties and the hardships of the Negro slaves in the southern states. These books gained attention and eventually ignited the Civil War that paved the way to the abolition of slavery and the freedom of the African American people. Martin Luther King Jr. s famous speech, I Have a Dream contains the revolutionist s desire for a new America a country filled with liberty, not only for the Whites but for the Blacks as well. With courageous effort and an ambitious zeal, Martin Luther King Jr. wrote his speech and recited it in front of the masses during the Civil Rights Era (1960 s). Another cultural revolution that happened in the late 1960 s made possible the transition of conservativism to modernization in societal norms when the Hippie Movement was practiced. • 38. Global Economy Is Finally Stabilizing Following The Global... The global economy is finally stabilizing following the global financial crisis and Great Recession. Our base case outlook for average annual real growth between 2015 and 2020 is between 3 and 4 percent Lower global commodity prices are an important factor supporting stronger economic growth. Although economies that are dependent on commodity exports may suffer, lower input prices for industry as well as lower fuel prices for households will provide a boost to aggregate demand and global growth. We expect emerging economies to continue to grow by more than 4 percent (contributing $16.2 trillion to global growth through 2020 at market exchange rates), while the growth rate of advanced economies is forecast to exceed 2 percent (contributing $13.5 trillion through 2020) for the first time since 2010. The United States is leading the recovery among advanced markets, and we expect the country to be a significant contributor to global growth through 2020. However, we anticipate economic performance to continue to diverge within both the emerging and developed market groupings based on key policy choices, as governments grapple with structural reforms in the context of reduced fiscal and monetary stimulus. In this regard, strong leadership and bold government actions will determine whether national economies can escape from the new mediocre of stable but low growth. Australia resources industry (BHP) Australia has a rich haven of resources in the oil, gas and energy industries. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 39. Photosynthesis Lab Report The alternative hypothesis for the photosynthesis vs irradiance experiment was initially estimated to be; Ulva grown under low light will have a steeper initial slope, and a lower Pmax than Ulva grown under high light. The results have shown the initial slope (alpha) for the low light was 1.21 and for the high light was 0.81, therefore low light did have a steeper slope that Ulva grown under low light. This would be because in the low light Ulva, light is a more of a limiting factor than for the high light Ulva, therefore the low light algae have adapted to harvest the light to suit their environment. This is done by rapidly increasing or decreasing the pigment content in response to the light availability levels. By doing this the low light ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The predicted hypothesis for this experiment was Ulva grown under low light will have a higher chlorophyll a content and a higher chlorophyll b content than Ulva grown under high light. The reason that this assumption was made is because Ulva that is growing in light limiting areas need to be able to harvest as much light as possible while the light is available. Chlorophyll a is able to absorb light in the red and blue spectrum while chlorophyll b is able to absorb light at intermediate wavelengths, as discussed in the introduction. The T tests results that were calculated concluded to be: chlorophyll a (0.17), chlorophyll b (0.47) and the total chlorophyll (0.37). Since all three p values are greater than 0.05, it can be concluded that there is no difference between the low and high light means, therefore the predicted (alternate) hypothesis can be rejected. In theory the experiment should have resulted as the alternative hypothesis predicted, but consequently errors have occurred that have prevents this outcome. All the class data was combined, therefore nine replications were conducted which would have eliminated human error, but unfortunately the Ulva used mightn t have been grown under the high and low light conditions for long enough for the chlorophyll to adapt to the ... • 41. 10 Case Study Analysis Example 10 Case Study Analysis Generally, there are four strategic approaches for case study analysis as identified by (Yin, 2014), namely, theoretical proposition reliance, ground up data strategy, descriptive and plausible rival explanation. Theoretical proposition strategy conforms to the idea of data been analysed based on the theoretical position of the research and study objectives (Gray, 2014; Yin, 2014). On the other hand, different analytical methods can be combine with analytical strategies in qualitative studies analysis such as pattern matching, time series analysis and thematically analysis (Braun Clarke, 2006; Yin, 2014). Due to the nature of this study, thematic analysis technique is employed. Thematic analysis is a technique ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
