create. I had about a million ideas in my head, but had an extremely hard time looking at things that
I found and picturing them all together becoming a sculpture.
I started out with sticks and paper garbage that I had found around my home and the places where
I walk my dogs. I didn t know what I wanted to do with them, but I felt like they were the material
I wanted to use. After I had gathered enough sticks and pieces of paper that I found on the ground
I sat down and tried to brainstorm what I could make. I came up with the idea of getting the sticks
together in a ball and gluing the trash paper on to create the look of the continents and the sticks be
a globe. I figured out very fast that the sticks would not hold together, even after I soaked them in
water. I ditched that idea and moved on to a new one.
I still had all the garbage that I found and figured I could make good use of that. After ditching
the sticks (not on the ground I put them in my green trash can so they could be picked up and
disposed of properly) I focused on the paper materials that I had picked up. I thought

Wabanakwut Kinew is a Canadian broadcaster, hip hop musician and a university administrator.
He is also a father, writer, Anishinaabe journalist, actor, Anishinabemowin Advocate, and a martial
arts fan. Kinew is well known as the host of 8th Fire, Fault Lines, CBC Radio and CBC
Television. He was born on December 31, 1981 from Onigaming First Nation in Northwest Ontario
and is currently 33 years old.
Wabanakwut Kinew has received many awards throughout his lifetime and he has also had some
great accomplishments achieved. Kinew has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and is

more technologically advanced than any other country in the world, beating out Europe and the
