Marketing Metrics For Ironman
Ironman s Marketing Metrics
Sales Metrics Measuring sales growth: According to Klipfolio (2016), a sales growth metric measures
the overall rate at which Arimount s Ironman total sales revenue either increases or decreases. The
sales growth metric is an important metric for measurement, as it will affect all future strategic
decisions by Arimount. It is important that Arimount measure sales over multiple periods, in Arimount
s case total monthly sales, to gain a solid indication of growth and to build precise strategic plans; i.e.
Arimount will measure current sales against the previous year s sales period to then plan for future
sales periods. This will allow Arimount to tailor future marketing plans for specific points in time and

Ideally, Arimount will want as much shelf space as possible. Although a new entrant in the
marketplace does have leveraging power with retailers, as it is an established company with many
products already contributing to a percentage of the stores All Commodity Volume (ACV), or the
percentage of everything sold in the store. However, Arimount must have overall successful supply
chain logistics as Simon, (2012) argues that even if Arimount obtains adequate shelf space for
Ironman, including supply on hand with online retailers, it will not sell if it is not on the shelf.
Nonetheless, Ironman s initial strategy is to manufacture just two formulations and be marketed to a
specific target group, therefore, is realistic for the space it will require and be allotted, and will
therefore attempt to obtain good shelf position. My measuring monthly sales data, it expected that
sales would peak during warmer months and when athletic events in full swing. Arimount can then

Considerations For Effective Organizational Change
What Is Organizational Change?
Organizational change is the term used to describe the transformation process that a company goes
through in response to a strategic reorientation, restructure, change in management, merger or
acquisition or the development of new goals and objectives for the company. The realignment of
resources and the redeployment of capital can bring many challenges during the transformation
process and organizational change management seeks to address this by adopting best practice
standards to assist with the integration of new company vision.
Organizational change is not just change for the sake of change itself. The major precursor for
organizational change is some form of exogenous force such as an external ... Show more content on

If workers don t embrace or see the reason for change, resentment and resistance can occur You have
to emphasize the positive reason for the change and convey it to the workers. This way, improve the
chances of support.
For effective organizational change, you should create a transition management team. You should also
select a change leader from every department and conduct regular meetings. This will comprise the
transition team that can drive the change initiatives and help facilitate and implement the initiatives
throughout the various departments. This also provides a support structure for the initiatives.
Resources should be provided to the transition management team.
Additional Considerations For Effective Organizational Structure:
Evaluation of the aesthetic appeal is essential for effective organizational change. The plan should be
clear defined goals and rationale and should be concise. Ensure that the decision makers within the
organization are onboard. Any change in the policy affects the operation of the organization which
needs broad approval at some levels.
Ensure you adequately define the nature of the changes. This will help team members and employees
to interpret the core objectives.
You should measure whether the change has taken place or not. Often this process is neglected but to
ensure effective organizational change you need to have predefined benchmarks to measure
implementation progress.

The Microwave Oven Is More Than Just For Cooking Foods
Abstract. The microwave oven is much more than just for cooking foods. This paper will briefly

applications of the microwave use in navigational, medicinal and in wireless communications. The

The Imaginary Comparison of A Very Old Man With Enormous...
Giants and Angels roam the pages of Gabriel Garcia Marquez s stories, A Very Old Man With
Enormous Wings , and The Handsomest Drowned Man In The World , creating the perfect scene for
magical realism. Many of the elements within these stories coincide with each other; this has
everything to do with the overall component of magical realism, which binds together similarities and
sets apart differences. The theme of each story can be found within the other and can stand by itself to
represent the story it belongs to, the settings are similar in location and the ability to change but
different in their downsides and the writing style is so similar it is complicated to find any differences.
Marquez is a master story teller whose works of art ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The first story shows this theme through the man not killing the angel and later showing enough
compassion for him to allow him to sleep in the shed. Also, the people are content with their lives
even though their house is filled with crabs. They are not wishing for something more. The
Handsomest Drowned Man shows its own theme through the women being so compassionate towards
a dead man. They even take the time to sew him pants because he doesn t fit into any of the pants that
the regular sized men wear. They also spent time thinking of how tragic his life must have been
because he could not fit through any doors, displaying empathy towards him. But their disgrace is that
they end up wishing that their own men could be like the drowned man whom they named Esteban.
They secretly compared him to their own men, thinking that for all their lives theirs were incapable of
doing what he could do in one night, and they ended up dismissing them deep in their hearts as the
weakest, meanest and most useless creatures on earth . The reason why this story could also have the
same theme as A Very Old Man With Enormous Wings is because the women longed for their men to
defy nature and be as strong and mighty as the drowned man. The longing for this ruins the natural
course of things because Esteban is dead, and the women are already

Humorous On Command Analysis
This is going to be a tough paper
Asking me to be humorous on command is pretty hard. I could write about all the embarrassing things
I have done, but it would fill up a couple more pages than I really want to do. Plus those pages would
be something I really wouldn t let anyone see. It would be way too embarrassing and i would have to
move states again. It s not that I m a dry, boring, and unhumorous politician, it s just that asking me to
be funny on command is gonna take me completely off guard. So off guard in fact I will think way too
hard about what to write on this paper, Because that s just who I am. Im thinking im gonna have an
easier time paying my tuition than I will writing a paper like this. It s too bad I have to do both. I could
joke about the current state of politics all day, but I think it would be rather offensive to do that here,
so I won t. I could joke about small events ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

anxiety. It s kind of like a deer caught in headlights.
I think the worst and best part of all of this though is that i m writing with my own kind of humour.
Humour that may not really appeal to other people. Humour that may get me an F since i m clearly
stretching the idea of writing with humour. Humour that i m not sure is super outlandishly akward or
actually somewhat chucklesome but is humour all my own. Which is what makes this assignment
difficult since everyone has a different standard of humour. What some of my classmates may find
funny I might not and vice versa. So while i would give myself a heart A double plus for this paper

I only felt it fitting in this time of emotional rawness to write you one last letter. I have seen more
therapists than i can count since i was seven years old. Most were okay some were pretty good but i
never connected with any of them. Then i came to you at one of the hardest points in my life. I was
struggling with who i was while the world was telling me who to be. From the very first time i met
you, you exuded humanity rather than the cold exterior i had come to expect. I had never connected
with another therapist before and it was scary so i pushed you away at first. But over time i told you

Israel s Impact On The West Bank
Israel has made travel between major Palestinian population centers (Jenin, Nablus, Ramallah,
Bethlehem, and Hebron) in the West Bank easier over the last several years. Several major
checkpoints in the West Bank that restricted direct movement between and into these cities have been
removed or modified. However, in general this opening is less the result of an overall easing in
movement restrictions than the result of the institutionalization of movement controls into a formal
and permanent regime of restrictions that has replaced roadblocks with gates that can be opened and
closed at the whim of the military and that has reconfiguring how Palestinians travel.
According to the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian ... Show more content

While Palestinian movement is severely restricted, a separate system of roads that are closed to
Palestinians or that bypass Palestinian communities has been set up for Settlers to ensure their
unrestricted movement in the West Bank and between the West Bank and Israel.[iii] According to the
Israeli human rights organization B Tselem,
there were 67 kilometers of roads in the West Bank that Israel classified for the sole, or practically
sole, use of Israelis, first and foremost of settlers. Israel also prohibits Palestinians from even crossing
some of these roads with vehicles, thereby restricting their access to nearby roads that they are
ostensibly not prohibited from using. In these cases, Palestinians travelers have to get out of their
vehicle, cross the road on foot, and find an alternative mode of transportation on the other side. [iv]
OCHA has also reported that in 2013 at least 55 West Bank communities which are home to more than
180,000 people remain completely isolated as a result of roadblocks, barriers, checkpoints and other
movement restrictions. All of the main roads into and out of these communities remain blocked and
residents wishing to leave these communities must use alternative routes that are two to five times
longer than the blocked direct routes. Many

The United States Should Order World Politics
Washington Rules emphasizes that the United States should order world politics. It is safe to say that
since the Post Cold War era; The United States is seen as the world s superpower, and it is to a point
where numerous countries expect us to protect them, and intervene in any situation that is not right.
The US has taken a preemptive role on ordering the word and senses the need to help those who are
not super powers in order to promote peace. America s military remains unchallenged, spending
around 736 billion dollars yearly. In addition, the American economy remains strong amongst the
global financial system, and the United States political influence around the world remains very strong
as well.
However, according to Michael Mann; there are series of limitations to US power. According to the
article the First Failed Empires of the 21st Century, Michael Mann argues that those limits to power
are Economic, Military, Political, and Ideological. According to Michael Mann, though US
domination of the world economy is much less than in the first decades after 1945, it remains the main
engine of global growth. It enjoys a slight lead in many hi tech industries, though the consumption and
indebtedness of its citizens provide the main global economic dynamic. However, other economic
powers such as China, poses a threat to the United States. According to Mann, as the world s financial
leader, US economic powers have not been systematically engaged in the new imperialism.

The Collapse Of The Ottoman Empire During World War One
Background Following the collapse of the Ottoman Empire during World War One, Britain and France
divided up the former Ottoman territories under the Sykes Picot Agreement in 1916, which established
French and British colonies, as well as asserted their respective spheres of influence in the region. The
borders drawn under this agreement, however, have caused crippling effects still felt today; the Syrian
territory was comprised of a Sunni majority, and Alawite (a Shi a sect), Druze and Kurdish minorities.
The present day Syrian Arab Republic emerged from this agreement, and formally gained
independence in 1945. The current Ba athist Regime came to power in 1963 following a coup d etat
led by an Alawite minority dominated military, overthrowing the Sunni majority, Western oriented,
capitalist Sunni majority. Prior to the coup, Alawites utilized the military as a means of social mobility
in an otherwise Sunni dominated state. Dissatisfaction with the effects of Sykes Picot, and the puppet
regimes of European imperialism that were in place, led to the Socialist Ba ath party s nationalist
platform. Once in power, the Ba ath party established state sponsored capitalism in an effort to take
control of the landed elite dominated agrarian portion of the economy. Interparty turmoil eventually
brought Hafez al Assad to power in 1970, who ruled until his death in 2000, when his son, Bashar al
Assad (the current president) took over.

Shopping Networks And The Online Retail Community
Each day ,retailers face emerging risks that threaten the sustainability and profitability of their
companies. As shopping becomes more convenient for the average person ,the increase of online
purchases increases in this digital age. Since social media, shopping networks and the readiness of
smart devices enable unsavory individuals to take advantage of unsuspecting shoppers. Given this fact
it is essential that retailers rethink how they manage the risk to their enterprises. With the recent
disclosures about the enormous data breaches that occur within the online retail community it is
certain that a strong plan is needed by all companies. For example in 2014,Target, Nieman Marcus,
White Lodging, Sally Beauty, Michaels, Affinity Gaming (casinos), UPS, Home Depot and even New
York reported data breaches that involved the theft of credit or debit card information of millions of
consumers ( Hardekopf, 2015). One of the first things that must be considered is the communication
process because it is where the breakdown first begins. Having strong polices that are followed to the
letter is the beginning of setting up a risk management framework. This is especially true when you
consider that internal risk is growing as fast as external. There are three categories that risk falls into
as far as retail enterprises are concerned: hazard, business and strategic. Each must be handled in its
own unique way for it to be effective within a risk management

The Importance Of Personal Privacy
Warrantless searches of a student s person raise significant legal questions. Unlike locker searches, it
cannot be asserted that there is a lower expectation of privacy. Students have a legitimate expectation
of privacy in the contents of their pockets and their person. The Fifth Circuit noted: The Fourth
Amendment applies with its fullest vigor against any intrusion on the human body. In personal
searches, not only is it necessary to have reasonable cause to search, but also the search itself must be
reasonable. Reasonableness is assessed in terms of the specific facts and circumstances of a case.
Metal Detectors. Metal detectors are used in airports and many public buildings, but their use does
constitute a search for Fourth Amendment purposes. General scanning of students with metal detectors
is only minimally intrusive on students Fourth Amendment rights when weighed against school
officials interest in providing a safe school environment.
Metal detectors became more commonplace in school environments in the 1990s causing their
constitutionality to be challenged. However, courts soon clarified that individualized suspicion was
not needed for schools to use of metal detectors. For example, the Pennsylvania high court upheld a
general, uniform search of all students for weapons as they entered the high school building; each
student s personal belongings were searched, and then a security officer scanned each student with a
metal detector. The court concluded that the

How Did Brown V Board Of Education Affect The Civil Rights...
Because of the Civil Rights movement, new doors of opportunity and education swung open for
everybody ... (Barack Obama). The civil rights movement was a very important part of American
history. This movement made Black people equal to white people. Before the civil rights movement,
black people were treated horribly and were not allowed to do things that white people could do.
Judgement and harassment were a big part of the civil rights era because no one was treated equally.
The Supreme Court effected the civil rights movement in a very positive way: Plessy v. Ferguson,
Brown v. Board of education and Swann v. Charlotte Mecklenburg board of education.
Plessy v. Ferguson was a case that stopped all public places to allow business to any black people.
When the case was announced, immediately businesses took action and started to put up signed that
read Whites Only and No Blacks. The town started to have segregated areas pop up everywhere. For
example, every water fountain had one for the white people and one for the black people. This

Mary Anne Warren s Argument On The Legal Status Of Abortion
Mary Anne Warren s argument on the legal status of abortion stands on a concrete understanding and
realization of an individual s personhood. Now Mary Anne Warren s unyielding argument on the basis
of personhood is that, If we assume that an entity is a person just because it happens to belong to our
favored biological classification, we stand convicted of speciesism, close cousin to racism. There are
properties that do qualify an entity as a person, but simply being human is not one of them (124). To
first be able to argue why the abortion of a fetus is permissible she needs to give a clear distinction of
what can be established a decisive factor of personhood. To distinguish a line between a fetus and a
human and if abortion is to be morally permissible there needs to be an understanding of when this cut
off between the two officially happens. In an example of the potential personhood and a right to life
Mary Ann Warren uses a hypothetical scenario of a space explorer who lands on an unknown plant.
While on this plant he encounters a race of aliens. Now since he is on another plant in the presence of
these alien beings how should he act towards these beings. He must first determine if they have the
capability of morality or if it is acceptable to consume these aliens for food. To determine if these
aliens are in fact part of a moral personhood maybe he can notice works of art, forms of tools, and
communication. However, even without evidence of these things they could

God Of The Sea In Greek Mythology
God of the sea in Greek mythology and agitator of the earth (earthquakes).Poseidon s parents were

The Unknown Citizen Poem Analysis
Message Exchange Three Messages Citizen, Old, and Anyone Many may say that within every piece
of literature, object, and spoken word there is a deeper meaning, or perhaps a hidden message. These
hidden meanings are often hard to find and require more thought. In the three poems The Unknown
Citizen , Old Age Sticks , and Anyone lived in a Pretty How Town there is a hidden meaning behind
each word. Some could say that they all tie together in some way. The three messages from these three
poems will be examined in the paragraphs below. Here is the way these three messages, can be
deciphered within each text. In the first poem The Unknown Citizen we can see that Mr. W.H. Auden
is diving into a more elaborate view of how he believes that the government just views this man as a
number. For example when Mr. Auden says Was he free? Was he happy? The question is absurd: Had
anything been wrong, we should certainly have heard . (Pg.775) In this line this shows that the
government only cared about statistics. They did not care much about whether or not if he was
satisfied in his life or if he wanted anything more to do. All they seemed to care about was the reports
they had about his life. When he says Yet, he wasn t a scab or odd in his views (Pg.775) Mr. Auden is
explaining the this unknown citizen was not particularly different in his views and that he did not
particularly stand up for things he believe in. This is makes him just another person, and nothing
special about him. With this text it is easily shown that sometimes all you are in society is a number.
This unknown citizen did not disturb the universe as many people strive to do in their lives.
In the poem Old Age Sticks , we can see the deeper meaning behind it at first it may be the hardest
thing in the world to read, but that is because Mr. E.E. Cummings uses words to create confusion.
However, the meaning behind this is that the young continue to grow old and the old try to tell the
youth what to do and what not to do which is super controversial for example, Old age sticks up Keep
off Signs and youth yanks them down

Lysistrata by Aristophanes
All is fair in love and war, right? Right! Aristophanes play Lysistrata is exactly that, but with a twist.
The play takes its name from the main female heroine, you guessed it, Lysistrata, an Athenian woman
with a plan to stop the Peloponnessian war. Taking an in depth look on how, we can look at her
leadership qualities that helped to make this happen in the play. From keeping the woman in line, to
depriving the men of sex, just how does she do it?
First lets examine creativity. Lysistrata hatches a plan to put an end to the Peloponnessian war once
and for all. In the first act of the play, she sets forth the motions to accomplish this in three parts. The
first of which is to deny the sexual pleasures that all the woman offer to men in Athens until a truce is
made between both nations to end the war. With all the wives and women rallied together and working
on the same page, she sets forth the next of her moves in seizing and occupying the Akropolis and its
riches to fund the war. Using these 2 motions set forth she denies the men of Athens much needed
funds to keep the armies moving, and denial of all the sexual pleasures a woman can offer her man.
slowly driving the men to look for an end to the war.
Next lets examine confidence. Lysistrata from the beginning of the play exudes it in such a way that is
noticeable but not overwhelming. Right of the bat she tells the woman who slowly start showing up
that she has a plan to save Athens and Greece from their long

None of this was planned. The universe played a part in the whole thing, obviously. We just took our

The album was a success and the band began touring. In 1973, the band recorded Head to the Sky.
With the album came more personnel changes with Ronnie Laws and Roland Bautista s departure and
Johnnie Graham and Andrew Woolfolk s arrival. Two hits emerged from this album Evil and Keep

Open Our Eyes became EWF s first platinum album. The message in the music was clearly a
reflection of Maurice White s vision for the group. Maurice states, From the very start, I had a

period of social confusion in the seventies, I wanted Earth, Wind Fire to reflect the growing search for
greater self understanding, greater freedom from restrictions we placed on ourselves in terms of
individual potential.

Who Is Polonius True In Hamlet
There are a few characters in Hamlet that are true to themselves. Polonius was one of those characters
that was true to himself, he was a very nosie person. Another character was Claudius who was the
same as Polonius in that he was true to himself, but he was different in that he was a liar. Horatio was
another character that was true to himself and that he was loyal. Being true to yourself does not
prevent you from being false with others.
Polonius was true in being very noisy until the very end of his life. Polonius was so noisy that he even

Should scientists be allowed to use genetic techniques to bring back extinct species?
There are 2 sides to this argument but as long as the genetic techniques wisely and safely it would be
great. It would be amazing to see a dodo bird in the zoo.
Species are named by narrowing them down into smaller groups by using Kingdom, Phylum, Class,
Order, Family, Genus and Species ( A great way to remember this is by saying Kids Prefer Candy
Over Fresh Green Salad) They get their scientific name by taking their Genus and Species to make
their scientific name. This way we can identify the animals world wide.

De extinct species could possibly be invasive and their habitat would be very different causing them

De extinction may change priorities in other types of scientific reasearch, such as medical research
and the safety of currently endangered species. Is de extinction actually good, or completely wrong?
Will it have horrible consequences that we did not see coming?
In conclusion, I think that we should wait a few more years before we start Bringing back the dead so
that the technology and techniques are more reliable and also a lot safer. I mean who wouldn t want to

The Investigation Middle Miocene Rocks Of Siwa Oasis...
VI.2 Paleoecology and paleoenvironment: The investigated Middle Miocene rocks of Siwa Oasis
contain a rich macroinvertebrate fauna. A total of 1,618 sample were collected, dominated by oysters
(58.03%), pectinids (12.54%), echinoids (5.68%), bivalves (14.77%), and gastropods (8.96%) (Fig.
39). Instead of their great abundance they surprisingly show a low diversity, and they are randomly
distributed all over the successions (Figs.12, 13, 15, 17). But it is noticeable that the Oasis and
Escarpment Member are more favorable for oysters and pectinids, while El Diffa Plateau Member was
dominated by gastropods (Fig. 12). In order to understand the paleoecology and paleoenvironment of
the Middle Miocene time of Siwa Oasis a detailed investigation of the abovementioned faunal groups
will be discussed.
VI.2.1 Oysters They are the most dominant element of the benthic community in the Miocene of
Egypt. Until now, oysters from the study area were only mentioned in passing by a few authors (Gindy
et al., 1969; El Shazly and Abdel Hamid, 2001). Like their modern representatives, oysters cement
themselves onto the substrate by their left valves. Most cementing bivalves are found in shallow water
environments having depths of less than 35 m (Kauffmann, 1969). Modern oysters are typically
founded in estuaries, bays, and tidal creeks from brackish water (5 parts per thousand [ppt] salinity) to
normal marine water (35 ppt salinity) (Loosanoff, 1965). They are very tolerant organisms, able

Polio ( Poliomyelitis ) Is A Contagious Illness Caused By...
Polio (Poliomyelitis) is a very contagious illness caused by the poliovirus. The poliovirus affects the
central nervous system, and is known and feared for causing paralysis (CDC, 2015). The virus is
contracted orally (through the mouth), from fecal matter (CDC, 2015): It first goes to the throat and
digestive system (CDC, 2015). Next it enters the lymphatic system, the bloodstream and finally the
Central Nervous System (CNS), were it can cause paralysis due to damage/destruction of the motor
neurons (CDC, 2015). Only people carry the poliovirus, and it only affects humans (CDC, 2015) No
cure, only prevention (CDC, 2015). Once someone has been in contact with the virus, it can take
anywhere from 3 to 35 days to notice symptoms (NYSDOH, 2014). Most people who contract polio
do not get sick (they don t show symptoms), but they can still pass the virus through stool and spread
it to other individuals (NYSDOH, 2014). Of the individuals who contract polio, only 4 5% get the
following symptoms: headaches, fever, nausea, vomiting, and muscle weakness (NYSDOH, 2014). 1
2% of people with polio develop severe muscle pain and stiffness in the neck and back (NYSDOH,
2014). Paralysis caused by polio is very rare, of the total amount of individuals who contract the virus,
less than 1% become paralyzed (NYSDOH, 2014). Polio was not addressed as a serious issue in
Nigeria until the mid 1900 s (Renne, 2010). When Europeans (white people) in Nigeria began

Examples Of Identity In Brave New World
Community, Identity, Stability is the motto of Aldous Huxley s Brave New World. the World State s
motto, COMMUNITY, IDENTITY, STABILITY (Huxley, 5). Basically, these words describe the
society of the new world and are the basics in building a perfect world as well as the main goals of
Utopia. Community is the relationship between the classes in the society of the World State that live
together. Even during death, a body is not left alone. Identity refers to the five castes within the
society: Epsilons, Alphas, Gammas, Betas, and Deltas. Identity differs among each caste based on

Community is achieved by systemizing life so that one is almost never alone. The people of the Brave
New World are controlled by a Controller known as Mustapha Mond in order to achieve Community.
Community is in part a result of identity and stability (Pearce, 1998). Every child lives together
without any parents and is conditioned to feel and think the same way as others and to fear and have
the same likes and dislikes, as well as the similar beliefs as the other residents of the New World.
Community is also achieved through a religion that satirizes Christianity. In relation to this religion,
the elder residents of the New World are urged to participate in the Solidarity Service which includes
community sing that one has to attend about once a week which makes everyone feel connected.
Solitude and loneliness does not exist in Brave New World because everyone often entertains each
other. Every caste benefits each other, fulfilling the idea of Community. Every one works for every
one else. We can t do without any one. Even Epsilons are useful. We couldn t do without Epsilons

Examples Of A Forced Oscillator
The steam engine is a perfect example of a forced oscillator as the piston oscillates back and forth.
The steam engine is a forced oscillator as it is a heavily dampened system that has a force to counter
the resistance and keep the piston moving at a constant oscillation until the force is removed from the
system.
Due to the steam engine being quite heavily damped this oscillator will just simply stop without a
force to compensate for the resistance within this system. But this force also has to be applied at the
perfect time as it will have no or little affect if it is applied at the wrong time so timing has to be taken
into account and the size of the force also has to be just enough to overcome the resistance to either
accelerate the piston or to keep it a constant velocity. The force though has to be equal to resistance to
keep the piston moving at a constant velocity and to increase the velocity of the piston the force will
have to be greater than the resistance in the system, but to decrease the velocity of the piston the force
will have to be less than the resistance in the system. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
So if there is no resistance this system could act like simple harmonic motion, but there is resistance in
the system which means without the force it is a damped system and because of this force it has to be
classified as a forced oscillator. So all of these forces act have to act in perfect harmony to keep the
oscillating motion going or else this oscillator will no act like a forced oscillator and will act like a
damped oscillator or a simple harmonic

human nature for people to be ruthless for personal gain. This concept of inhumanity is developed in A

Analysis Of Farewell My Concubine And The King And...
Throughout many countries around the world, homosexuality has always been subjected as a
controversial matter. The societal attitudes towards the behavior of homosexuality vary substantially
across Asia. Surprisingly, there are two conflicting attitudes toward homosexuality. Some Asian
countries strongly condemn against homosexuality. Whereas, in some Asian countries visibly accept
homosexuality. Judith Butler explained that gender is represented as a stylized repetition of acts or
imitation. She described the categories of sexuality and gender as a form of performativity (Butler
1996, 368). This essay will explore and examine the experience of gender identity via the exploration
of case studies in two distinct socio cultural contexts. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Homosexuality in ancient China was extensively well recognized and moderately tolerated, although it
was not solely accepted (Wu 2003, 118). Before the thirteenth century, the early ancient Chinese
possess an open minded view towards human sexuality (Wu 2003, 118). There was no form of an
equivalent abstract idea to one s identity as being gay or lesbian (Wu 2003, 118). According to a Hong
Kong sociologist Chou Wah Shan, the adjective homosexual was never a noun in ancient China
(Drescher and Vittorio 2003, 118 119). This is because ancient China s mainstream belief system did
not have views on homosexuality. Homosexuality in traditional China was not reported as an identity
nor a particular gender difference. In fact, it is known as a formation of behavior or act (Dubel, Ireen
and Andre 2010, 173). This structural interpretation is similar to Judith Butler s argument in which
gender identity is a performative of acts, behaviors, and gestures. Moreover, homosexuality was very
popular in the midst of man dynasties among the Chinese emperors. During the history of the West
Han Dynasty, ten out of the eleven Chinese emperors had at least one homosexual lover or had
expressed some form of homosexual proclivities (Wu 2003, 120). In ancient China, those who were
considered homosexual or had any sexual activity with the same sex were not perceived with deviant
personalities. Instead, it was considered as simply sharing the passion (Dubel,

Essay On Pitt
To what extent was Pitt s repressive policy the main reason for his success in resisting the radical
challenge to 1801? The growing threat of revolution by English radicals being influenced by Irish
rebels and the French Revolution was the main thing William Pitt the younger was faced with during
his time as Prime Minister. To deal with this, he reinforced a repressive policy of tough legislation
strengthened through propaganda. It was not only these actions taken that managed to quell the
revolutionaries from revolting. Other than the actions taken by Pitt, there was discordance between the
radicals, also the loyalist reaction sparked by the war in France; these are only a few reasons amongst

This response to the war helped Pitt, as he was trying to prevent revolution from happening in Britain.
There was a loyalist riot in 1794 in Manchester where chants about church and kings were to be heard,
subsequently Church and King clubs formed. The loyalists advertised their cause through pamphlets
that supported the king. Suppport for the king spread, the government were extremely happy with the
outcome, they even allowed and encourages a loyalist militia to form and by 1800 there were 100,000
members. This show of support for the king that followed the war with France was a strong opponent
against the radicals. Problems within the radicals caused a divide in their goals and the path they
thought was necessary to take to reach them. This could be seen when looking at some of the radical
groups. Disunity in cause could be seen by looking at two figures that were part of the radical
movement; Tom Paine focused solely on men s rights, whilst Mary Wollstonecraft focused on rights
for women. The London Corresponding Society believed in achieving their goals peacefully, however
the Society for Constitutional Information s leader (John Jebb) believed that public agitation was the
most effective way of reaching their goals. This lack of unity of cause and ways of achieving their
aims considerably weakened the radical movement. Another factor that

The Impact Of Technology On Religion
Religion has been around for as long as human have been alive. Religion has played a big role in
peoples, cultures, the way some people live, people s decisions and the way they act and our society.
Religions has played a role in our civilization for the good and there are some for the bad or as others
may refer as controversial. Technology is something people have had for quite some time now and we
have used it to communicate and spread information and our ideas. Technology has played a role in
religion for the good and for the bad.
Technology has helped spread the word of religion through different communications. One of the first
few technological ways of communication besides word of mouth was through the printing press. This
helped spread religion more and helped people s literacy rates improve since written text was
becoming more common. This helped people study their beliefs and faiths on their own. This also
helped with religions being more diversified and helped peoples get more into their religion. In the

Death Of Solomon Research Paper
Israel s Golden Age was during the reign of Solomon. As king, he had many different
accomplishments that many other kings did not have. Solomon three sources of national income were,
taxation that provided the main part of his support for his family as well as furnished his court. Second
was tribute and gifts that were received from different nations. Lastly was the trade relationships that
were developed in many areas. Solomon grew his kingdom through building temples and palaces
alongside developing alliances with Egypt and other nations. But after Solomon s death, his empire
crumbled and division occurred. There are four main reasons why this division happened. First, there
is evidence that even before the death of Solomon, the nation was already starting to fall and this was
because the tribes had grown jealous of their independency and rights. The tribal jealousy can be
traced by to the time of Jacob and his wives. Leah and Rachel were jealous of on another, mainly
when it came to their sons and who would receive the blessing of Jacob. But Jacob did not help in this

Workrate Definition
How do you define workrate?
The term workrate was introduced to me during the earlier stages of my wrestling fandom when I
stumbled upon online communities who would throw the word around quite readily. Even with the
term still in common usage, I have never seen it given a widely agreed upon and concrete definition.
In my view workrate is somewhat distinct from good work , and refers to the athletic and mechanical
aspects of a match, in addition to the fluidity of its execution, bumping, and the like. It says very little
for the emotional components of a match or wrestler, for facials, and more complex elements of
selling. Whilst this does mean that many, if not most good workrate matches are well worked, and
many high workrate wrestlers are great workers, the contrapositive does not hold those who do not
have the mechanical and athletic prowess of a high workrate performer may very well be just as good
as far as quality of match output is concerned.
Is workrate important to you?

But their disgrace is that they end up wishing that their own men could be like the drowned man whom they named Esteban. They secretly compared him to their own men, thinking that for all their lives theirs were incapable of doing what he could do in one night, and they ended up dismissing them deep in their hearts as the weakest, meanest and most useless creatures on earth . The reason why this story could also have the same theme as A Very Old Man With Enormous Wings is because the women longed for their men to defy nature and be as strong and mighty as the drowned man. It s not that I m a dry, boring, and unhumorous politician, it s just that asking me to be funny on command is gonna take me completely off guard. Im thinking im gonna have an easier time paying my tuition than I will writing a paper like this. It s too bad I have to do both. Israel s Impact On The West Bank Israel has made travel between major Palestinian population centers (Jenin, Nablus, Ramallah, Bethlehem, and Hebron) in the West Bank easier over the last several years. Several major checkpoints in the West Bank that restricted direct movement between and into these cities have been removed or modified. However, in general this opening is less the result of an overall easing in movement restrictions than the result of the institutionalization of movement controls into a formal and permanent regime of restrictions that has replaced roadblocks with gates that can be opened and closed at the whim of the military and that has reconfiguring how Palestinians travel. Israel also prohibits Palestinians from even crossing some of these roads with vehicles, thereby restricting their access to nearby roads that they are ostensibly not prohibited from using. In these cases, Palestinians travelers have to get out of their vehicle, cross the road on foot, and find an alternative mode of transportation on the other side. It is safe to say that since the Post Cold War era; The United States is seen as the world s superpower, and it is to a point where numerous countries expect us to protect them, and intervene in any situation that is not right. The US has taken a preemptive role on ordering the word and senses the need to help those who are not super powers in order to promote peace. America s military remains unchallenged, spending around 736 billion dollars yearly. In addition, the American economy remains strong amongst the global financial system, and the United States political influence around the world remains very strong as well. However, according to Michael Mann; there are series of limitations to US power. According to the article the First Failed Empires of the 21st Century, Michael Mann argues that those limits to power are Economic, Military, Political, and Ideological. According to Michael Mann, though US domination of the world economy is much less than in the first decades after 1945, it remains the main engine of global growth. It enjoys a slight lead in many hi tech industries, though the consumption and indebtedness of its citizens provide the main global economic dynamic. However, other economic powers such as China, poses a threat to the United States. • 13. The Collapse Of The Ottoman Empire During World War One Background Following the collapse of the Ottoman Empire during World War One, Britain and France divided up the former Ottoman territories under the Sykes Picot Agreement in 1916, which established French and British colonies, as well as asserted their respective spheres of influence in the region. The borders drawn under this agreement, however, have caused crippling effects still felt today; the Syrian territory was comprised of a Sunni majority, and Alawite (a Shi a sect), Druze and Kurdish minorities. The present day Syrian Arab Republic emerged from this agreement, and formally gained independence in 1945. The current Ba athist Regime came to power in 1963 following a coup d etat led by an Alawite minority dominated military, overthrowing the Sunni majority, Western oriented, capitalist Sunni majority. Prior to the coup, Alawites utilized the military as a means of social mobility in an otherwise Sunni dominated state. Dissatisfaction with the effects of Sykes Picot, and the puppet regimes of European imperialism that were in place, led to the Socialist Ba ath party s nationalist platform. Once in power, the Ba ath party established state sponsored capitalism in an effort to take control of the landed elite dominated agrarian portion of the economy. • 14. Shopping Networks And The Online Retail Community Each day ,retailers face emerging risks that threaten the sustainability and profitability of their companies. As shopping becomes more convenient for the average person ,the increase of online purchases increases in this digital age. Since social media, shopping networks and the readiness of smart devices enable unsavory individuals to take advantage of unsuspecting shoppers. Given this fact it is essential that retailers rethink how they manage the risk to their enterprises. With the recent disclosures about the enormous data breaches that occur within the online retail community it is certain that a strong plan is needed by all companies. For example in 2014,Target, Nieman Marcus, White Lodging, Sally Beauty, Michaels, Affinity Gaming (casinos), UPS, Home Depot and even New York reported data breaches that involved the theft of credit or debit card information of millions of consumers ( Hardekopf, 2015). One of the first things that must be considered is the communication process because it is where the breakdown first begins. Having strong polices that are followed to the letter is the beginning of setting up a risk management framework. This is especially true when you consider that internal risk is growing as fast as external. There are three categories that risk falls into as far as retail enterprises are concerned: hazard, business and strategic. Each must be handled in its own unique way for it to be effective within a risk management ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The Fifth Circuit noted: The Fourth Amendment applies with its fullest vigor against any intrusion on the human body. In personal searches, not only is it necessary to have reasonable cause to search, but also the search itself must be reasonable. The civil rights movement was a very important part of American history. This movement made Black people equal to white people. Before the civil rights movement, black people were treated horribly and were not allowed to do things that white people could do. • 17. Mary Anne Warren s Argument On The Legal Status Of Abortion Mary Anne Warren s argument on the legal status of abortion stands on a concrete understanding and realization of an individual s personhood. Now Mary Anne Warren s unyielding argument on the basis of personhood is that, If we assume that an entity is a person just because it happens to belong to our favored biological classification, we stand convicted of speciesism, close cousin to racism. There are properties that do qualify an entity as a person, but simply being human is not one of them (124). To first be able to argue why the abortion of a fetus is permissible she needs to give a clear distinction of what can be established a decisive factor of personhood. To distinguish a line between a fetus and a human and if abortion is to be morally permissible there needs to be an understanding of when this cut off between the two officially happens. In an example of the potential personhood and a right to life Mary Ann Warren uses a hypothetical scenario of a space explorer who lands on an unknown plant. While on this plant he encounters a race of aliens. Now since he is on another plant in the presence of these alien beings how should he act towards these beings. He must first determine if they have the capability of morality or if it is acceptable to consume these aliens for food. To determine if these aliens are in fact part of a moral personhood maybe he can notice works of art, forms of tools, and communication. However, even without evidence of these things they could ... • 19. The Unknown Citizen Poem Analysis Message Exchange Three Messages Citizen, Old, and Anyone Many may say that within every piece of literature, object, and spoken word there is a deeper meaning, or perhaps a hidden message. These hidden meanings are often hard to find and require more thought. In the three poems The Unknown Citizen , Old Age Sticks , and Anyone lived in a Pretty How Town there is a hidden meaning behind each word. Some could say that they all tie together in some way. The three messages from these three poems will be examined in the paragraphs below. Here is the way these three messages, can be deciphered within each text. In the first poem The Unknown Citizen we can see that Mr. W.H. Auden is diving into a more elaborate view of how he believes that the government just views this man as a number. For example when Mr. Auden says Was he free? Was he happy? The question is absurd: Had anything been wrong, we should certainly have heard . (Pg.775) In this line this shows that the government only cared about statistics. They did not care much about whether or not if he was satisfied in his life or if he wanted anything more to do. All they seemed to care about was the reports they had about his life. When he says Yet, he wasn t a scab or odd in his views (Pg.775) Mr. Auden is explaining the this unknown citizen was not particularly different in his views and that he did not particularly stand up for things he believe in. This is makes him just another person, and nothing special about him. With this text it is easily shown that sometimes all you are in society is a number. This unknown citizen did not disturb the universe as many people strive to do in their lives. In the poem Old Age Sticks , we can see the deeper meaning behind it at first it may be the hardest thing in the world to read, but that is because Mr. E.E. Cummings uses words to create confusion. However, the meaning behind this is that the young continue to grow old and the old try to tell the youth what to do and what not to do which is super controversial for example, Old age sticks up Keep off Signs and youth yanks them down ... The play takes its name from the main female heroine, you guessed it, Lysistrata, an Athenian woman with a plan to stop the Peloponnessian war. Taking an in depth look on how, we can look at her leadership qualities that helped to make this happen in the play. From keeping the woman in line, to depriving the men of sex, just how does she do it? First lets examine creativity. Lysistrata hatches a plan to put an end to the Peloponnessian war once and for all. In the first act of the play, she sets forth the motions to accomplish this in three parts. The first of which is to deny the sexual pleasures that all the woman offer to men in Athens until a truce is made between both nations to end the war. With all the wives and women rallied together and working on the same page, she sets forth the next of her moves in seizing and occupying the Akropolis and its riches to fund the war. Using these 2 motions set forth she denies the men of Athens much needed funds to keep the armies moving, and denial of all the sexual pleasures a woman can offer her man. slowly driving the men to look for an end to the war. A total of 1,618 sample were collected, dominated by oysters (58.03%), pectinids (12.54%), echinoids (5.68%), bivalves (14.77%), and gastropods (8.96%) (Fig. 39). Instead of their great abundance they surprisingly show a low diversity, and they are randomly distributed all over the successions (Figs.12, 13, 15, 17). But it is noticeable that the Oasis and Escarpment Member are more favorable for oysters and pectinids, while El Diffa Plateau Member was dominated by gastropods (Fig. 12). In order to understand the paleoecology and paleoenvironment of the Middle Miocene time of Siwa Oasis a detailed investigation of the abovementioned faunal groups will be discussed. The virus is contracted orally (through the mouth), from fecal matter (CDC, 2015): It first goes to the throat and digestive system (CDC, 2015). Next it enters the lymphatic system, the bloodstream and finally the Central Nervous System (CNS), were it can cause paralysis due to damage/destruction of the motor neurons (CDC, 2015). Only people carry the poliovirus, and it only affects humans (CDC, 2015) No cure, only prevention (CDC, 2015). Once someone has been in contact with the virus, it can take anywhere from 3 to 35 days to notice symptoms (NYSDOH, 2014). Most people who contract polio do not get sick (they don t show symptoms), but they can still pass the virus through stool and spread it to other individuals (NYSDOH, 2014). Of the individuals who contract polio, only 4 5% get the following symptoms: headaches, fever, nausea, vomiting, and muscle weakness (NYSDOH, 2014). 1 2% of people with polio develop severe muscle pain and stiffness in the neck and back (NYSDOH, 2014). Paralysis caused by polio is very rare, of the total amount of individuals who contract the virus, less than 1% become paralyzed (NYSDOH, 2014). Polio was not addressed as a serious issue in Nigeria until the mid 1900 s (Renne, 2010). When Europeans (white people) in Nigeria began contracting the virus, ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Every child lives together without any parents and is conditioned to feel and think the same way as others and to fear and have the same likes and dislikes, as well as the similar beliefs as the other residents of the New World. Community is also achieved through a religion that satirizes Christianity. In relation to this religion, the elder residents of the New World are urged to participate in the Solidarity Service which includes community sing that one has to attend about once a week which makes everyone feel connected. • 28. Examples Of A Forced Oscillator The steam engine is a perfect example of a forced oscillator as the piston oscillates back and forth. The steam engine is a forced oscillator as it is a heavily dampened system that has a force to counter the resistance and keep the piston moving at a constant oscillation until the force is removed from the system. Due to the steam engine being quite heavily damped this oscillator will just simply stop without a force to compensate for the resistance within this system. But this force also has to be applied at the perfect time as it will have no or little affect if it is applied at the wrong time so timing has to be taken into account and the size of the force also has to be just enough to overcome the resistance to either accelerate the piston or to keep it a constant velocity. The force though has to be equal to resistance to keep the piston moving at a constant velocity and to increase the velocity of the piston the force will have to be greater than the resistance in the system, but to decrease the velocity of the piston the force will have to be less than the resistance in the system. ... • 30. Analysis Of Farewell My Concubine And The King And... Throughout many countries around the world, homosexuality has always been subjected as a controversial matter. The societal attitudes towards the behavior of homosexuality vary substantially across Asia. Surprisingly, there are two conflicting attitudes toward homosexuality. Some Asian countries strongly condemn against homosexuality. Whereas, in some Asian countries visibly accept homosexuality. Judith Butler explained that gender is represented as a stylized repetition of acts or imitation. She described the categories of sexuality and gender as a form of performativity (Butler 1996, 368). Homosexuality in ancient China was extensively well recognized and moderately tolerated, although it was not solely accepted (Wu 2003, 118). Before the thirteenth century, the early ancient Chinese possess an open minded view towards human sexuality (Wu 2003, 118). There was no form of an equivalent abstract idea to one s identity as being gay or lesbian (Wu 2003, 118). According to a Hong Kong sociologist Chou Wah Shan, the adjective homosexual was never a noun in ancient China (Drescher and Vittorio 2003, 118 119). This is because ancient China s mainstream belief system did not have views on homosexuality. Homosexuality in traditional China was not reported as an identity nor a particular gender difference. In fact, it is known as a formation of behavior or act (Dubel, Ireen and Andre 2010, 173). This structural interpretation is similar to Judith Butler s argument in which gender identity is a performative of acts, behaviors, and gestures. Moreover, homosexuality was very popular in the midst of man dynasties among the Chinese emperors. During the history of the West Han Dynasty, ten out of the eleven Chinese emperors had at least one homosexual lover or had expressed some form of homosexual proclivities (Wu 2003, 120). In ancient China, those who were considered homosexual or had any sexual activity with the same sex were not perceived with deviant personalities. The growing threat of revolution by English radicals being influenced by Irish rebels and the French Revolution was the main thing William Pitt the younger was faced with during his time as Prime Minister. To deal with this, he reinforced a repressive policy of tough legislation strengthened through propaganda. It was not only these actions taken that managed to quell the revolutionaries from revolting. There was a loyalist riot in 1794 in Manchester where chants about church and kings were to be heard, subsequently Church and King clubs formed. Suppport for the king spread, the government were extremely happy with the outcome, they even allowed and encourages a loyalist militia to form and by 1800 there were 100,000 members. This show of support for the king that followed the war with France was a strong opponent against the radicals. Problems within the radicals caused a divide in their goals and the path they thought was necessary to take to reach them. This could be seen when looking at some of the radical groups. Disunity in cause could be seen by looking at two figures that were part of the radical movement; Tom Paine focused solely on men s rights, whilst Mary Wollstonecraft focused on rights for women. The London Corresponding Society believed in achieving their goals peacefully, however the Society for Constitutional Information s leader (John Jebb) believed that public agitation was the most effective way of reaching their goals. Second was tribute and gifts that were received from different nations. Lastly was the trade relationships that were developed in many areas. Solomon grew his kingdom through building temples and palaces alongside developing alliances with Egypt and other nations. But after Solomon s death, his empire crumbled and division occurred. There are four main reasons why this division happened. First, there is evidence that even before the death of Solomon, the nation was already starting to fall and this was because the tribes had grown jealous of their independency and rights. The term workrate was introduced to me during the earlier stages of my wrestling fandom when I stumbled upon online communities who would throw the word around quite readily. Even with the term still in common usage, I have never seen it given a widely agreed upon and concrete definition. In my view workrate is somewhat distinct from good work , and refers to the athletic and mechanical aspects of a match, in addition to the fluidity of its execution, bumping, and the like. It says very little for the emotional components of a match or wrestler, for facials, and more complex elements of selling. Whilst this does mean that many, if not most good workrate matches are well worked, and many high workrate wrestlers are great workers, the contrapositive does not hold those who do not have the mechanical and athletic prowess of a high workrate performer may very well be just as good as far as quality of match output is concerned.
