Abstract A numerical investigation has been carried out for incompressible turbulent flow through
900bend pipes. The model is based on the numerical solution of conservation equations of mass
and momentum. The results of the simulations of the flow in the form of contour and vector plots
for two types of pipe bend both mitre and smooth bend with seven different Reynolds numbers
(2.0+E04, 2.5+E04, 3.0+E04, 3.5+E04, 4.0+E04, 4.5+E04 and 5.0+ E04) are presented in this
paper. From the obtained results, it is seen that the mitre bend produces more turbulent kinetic
energy, eddy viscosity, skin friction factor compared to the smooth bend. To put an emphasis on
the smooth bend for different R/D ratios, the static pressure distribution along the inner, outer
wall and the pressure loss factor with different Re numbers are analyzed. However, it is noticed
that as Re increases the pressure gradient changes rapidly at the inner and the outer wall of the
bend. Again, the total pressure loss factor k increases as the R/D ratio decreases and due to higher
velocity heads factor k decreases as Re increases. The numerical results are found to be in a good

Evaluation of fungicides and application timing on control of black leg of winter canola, 2015 at

The Effects Of Music On Our Country Today
Music in today s day and age has the ability to be a very pervasive form of media. There is an
indisputable truth that media has the ability to effect the masses. But, the effect of music and the
message it is sends to its listeners is not always a positive one. I am aiming to describe how
sexism in music is an epidemic in our country today. I ll also be comparing and contrasting
different music genres, to see if certain types of music are better or worse than others. A common
phrase in media and advertising is Sex Sells , but at what cost?
Before examining sexism in the different genres, I d like to take an in depth look at the visual
side of the music industry. Music is an auditory medium, but there is an obvious visual side to its
market as well. Music videos became popular back in the early 80 s thanks to MTV. Steven A.
Seidman wrote an article titled Profile: An investigation of sexвЂђrole stereotyping in music videos
, in which he conducted a study, and discovered that male characters were portrayed as
adventuresome, domineering, aggressive, violent, and victimize, while females were depicted as
affectionate, dependent, nurturing, and fearful than males. He also found that a large percentage of
female characters wore revealing clothing and that they initiated and received sexual advances more

Understanding that and accepting it is a person with good sportsmanship. Where as if they were
upset at their teammates for not doing their part and getting overly upset at the other team for
playing good soccer is not good sportsmanship. At the end of the game, whether you have lost or

In the following essay I will be talking about the disadvantages and advantages of partisan
elections for state politics. I will also examine the last couple year s election results and costs.
Finally, I will discuss if partisanship made a difference in the vote, as well as if a judge should be

Secondly, I will now talk about the disadvantages of having a partisan election. First, partisan
elections cost a lot more money than nonpartisan elections, because in nonpartisan elections you do
not have to campaign. The voters must do their own research on the candidates and makes the
voter actually think and know why they are going to vote. A bad thing about this though would be
time. Not everybody has time to go out and do research on candidates, because most people work
eight or more hour shifts at work and then they do not want to go out and do research. Another
disadvantage would be I think there is too much information out there for the candidates, which

answering it through this writing technique. Unlike other authors who tell their story without room
