When I came into Drug Court, I was lost and confused. I thought it was a joke and I thought I could
keep doing what I wanted to do. I thought the Judge and everyone on the team was just out to get me.
I didn t know who I was because I built my life on lies. I never aspired to anything great. Being in

Boredom is a state of mind that hinders everyone at some point in life. I find that I encounter boredom
most during the summer when I am free from the constraints of school and social life. This state of
mind could lead someone to do some pretty outrageous things, whether that be very small or life

The poem Weary Blues is about a black man singing the blues and how he uses the music to portray
his life. The usage of similes, metaphors, and personification enhance the poem and allows for Hughes
message to effectively be conveyed. In line 10 Hughes writes, He made the poor piano moan with
melody. The usage of personification in this line gives the piano human characteristics and readers can
understand that the music the African American is playing is melancholy. The dramatic personification
clearly sets the mood of the poem. Line 10 is a metaphor as well, describing the piano as a poor piano

out that the man is singing the blues, which is known to be a sad and depressing genre. Throughout the

Have you ever seen someone while driving, doing something dangerous? Such as texting, talking on
the phone, eating, and even doing their makeup. Doing such acts can cause catastrophic results. In
drivers Ed, I learned that if you look away from the road for just two seconds, you can end up being
on your way to the hospital. With self driving technology, many shattering wrecks could have been
prevented. Sure, self driving technology may malfunction or even be hacked, but there are tons of
computerized machines like traffic lights, robots in factories, phones and there is hardly any news
about them being hacked. With technology advancing, there are people who cannot resist the
notification sounds that their phone makes while driving. Human beings are hasty and do their
makeup while driving or getting their breakfast or lunch in. With such acts, driverless cars are
beneficial because of distractibility, safety, and rewards. To begin with, smartphones have become like
a drug to people, some cannot live without it and have to have it with them at all times. Firstly, human

There are two different types of cells; prokaryotes and eukaryotes. Both cells have differences,
including the shape and size of the cell. Prokaryote cells are found in bacteria such as E coli,
Streptococcus and Staphylococcus, whilst eukaryote cells are found in plants, animals and fungi.
Eukaryotic cells have many components which lead to the cell having a much more complex structure
and are larger in size, measuring between 10 and 100 micrometres in diameter. Prokaryotic cells, on
the other hand, are much smaller, measuring between 0.2 and 2 micrometres and having a much
simpler structure. The two cells share similarities such as; containing DNA, ribosomes and
cytoplasms. According to Bassett, The ribosomes are told, what kind of protein to make and when to
