The Importance Of Living A Simple Life
In church today, the pastor and the congregation conversate about simplicity. He mentioned we should
live an uncomplicated life because materials can become obsessive and serve as idols. While many
associate religions with poverty, others think money symbolized envy, greed, and evil. According to
the Holy Bible, a rich man will face difficulty to enter heaven because it states that for a rich man to
enter heaven is harder than for a camel to fit in the eye of a needle . Containing an enormous amount
of money cannot prevent an individual from going to heaven, however, the change of character money
may cause can produce problems. Money can affect a to person s morals. What exactly does living a
simple life means? Does giving my ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
We need self discipline when shopping to not overspend. For example, planning to go to the grocery
store to buy a couple of items for dinner, you thought a simple rice and bean and some vegetables on
the side will do; however, oreos, ice cream, and a new pot seems appealing. Suddenly your budget of
$60 increase to $115. Holidays like Black Friday is a way for companies to make money while
consumers are lacking in self control. Furthermore, stuffing or keeping our lives busy cannot fulfill
our voids. The life of many wealthy individuals proves that money cannot buy happiness. Whitney
Houston s busy life wasn t able to satisfy her voids. Obsessing over our careers cause us to miss many
opportunities. Some people depend on drugs and alcohol to enjoy life such a the young college student
that recently committed suicide. A couple of weeks ago a college student committed suicide at his
campus because he was getting tired and the drugs didn t bring him satisfaction anymore. Self control
helps us prioritize and differentiate between wants and needs. Those who give shall receive! It s not
just religious quote to say if you give you will receive because It s rare to see giver lives in misery.
Supporting the less fortunate bring joy to both parties. I remember watching a Youtuber who lives in
poverty, on his YouTube channel he shows people how to cook Indian food. With the money he
receives from YouTube he buys

Identification And Identification
Identification has two elements most people know and focus on the first; most companies are
notoriously poor at the second. The first Identification element is, not surprisingly, to understand the
characteristics of potential and current customers, as well as their influencers. This means delving into
what needs they have, what motivates those needs, how they want those needs solved, and who else
influences those needs and potential solutions. It also means looking beyond those presenting
symptoms to the underlying problem that needs to be solved (even if the customer themselves doesn t
recognize it). For example, many people will say that the need to own a car when what they actually
need is transportation. And that broader need can be solved in many ways other than owning a car
(bus, bike, taxi, Uber). The second Identification element described by Peppers and Rogers is to, link
information about that customer across the company and throughout the duration of the customer s
relationship with the firm. This is where I would argue that most companies have a long way to go to
be successful. For example, the first step when calling many companies is to enter your customer
ID/Social Security number/whatever on the telephone keypad . . . and then the first thing the person
who (eventually!) answers the phone does is to ask you for the information you just entered! In
addition, from personal experience, I have run into many situations where sales representatives

Platelets
Platelets, along with red cells and plasma, form a major proportion of both human blood.
Platelets are fragments of the cells in bone marrow, called megakaryocytes. Stimulated by the
hormone thrombopoietin, platelets break off the megakaryocytes and enter the blood stream, where
they circulate for about 10 days before ending their cycle in the spleen. In the healthy body,
thrombopoietin will help to maintain the count of platelets at a normal level. Platelets provide the
necessary hormones and proteins for coagulation. Collagen is released when the lining of a blood
vessel is damaged. The platelet recognizes collagen and begins to work on coagulating the blood by
forming a stopper, so further damage to the blood vessel is prevented. A higher than normal count of
platelets, known as thrombocytosis, can cause serious health risks. Too much clotting of ... Show more

Conversely, lower than normal counts can lead to extensive bleeding. The body has several defences
against pathogens so we do not fall ill with the diseases they cause. In addition to being the smallest
blood cell, platelets are also the lightest. Therefore they are pushed out from the centre of flowing
blood to the wall of the blood vessel. There they roll along the surface of the vessel wall, which is
lined by cells called endothelium. The endothelium surface prevents anything from sticking to it.
However when there is an injury or cut, and the endothelial layer is broken, the tough fibers that
surround a blood vessel are exposed to the liquid flowing blood. It is the platelets that react first to
injury. The tough fibers surrounding the vessel wall, attract platelets and platelets then clump onto
these fibers, providing the initial seal to prevent bleeding, the leak of red blood cells and plasma
through the vessel

Food Safety Is Extremely Severe Worldwide
Food Safety in China
Food safety tends to be a hot topic in Food safety these years. Though the meaning is similar, different
from food security, food safety concentrates more on health aspects rather than sufficiency. So what is
food safety? Food safety is a scientific discipline describing handling, preparation, and storage of food
in ways that prevent foodborne illness. (AmercianPeanutCouncil, 2014) This prevents civils from
severe health hazards and in this way is the food safety similar to the definition of food defense.
I collected data from different websites and summarized them in a chart. Here is the performance of
countries based on their 2015 food safety score. (Charlebois, 2014) Based on this chart, China ranks
42 in the whole world. It s clear that the situation of China s food safety is extremely severe
worldwide. The cause of the food safety problem is intricate; however, before I explain the complex
cause of food safety in China, I d like to illustrate the phenomenon of China s food safety problem
which will definitely promote the comprehensibility of the causes of food safety problems.
People from different fields hold different views upon food safety phenomenon. One of the directors
of Asia Institute Yan stated that Food safety problems constituted a new, urgent, and multifaceted
challenge to Chinese people, society, and the state, involving a number of social, political, and Beck s
theory of risk society. (2012) Food safety problems affect Chinese

How Does Shakespeare Use Deception In Twelfth Night
Most people have told a lie at least once in their life. People, both in reality and in fiction, have been
lying through disguises and through their words for centuries. For many, lying and deceiving has
become part of their day to day lives. Twelfth Night, one of William Shakespeare s many famous
plays, is a romantic comedy that displays a wide range of topics and themes including this theme of
lies and deception. The characters in the play use lies and deceit for several different reasons, some of
which are personal gain, revenge, and sometimes purely for entertainment. Shakespeare first
introduces the use of lies and deception for personal gain. Viola, a young women, is faced with being
stranded in Illyria with no money, no family, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
One of Olivia s servants, Malvolio, is hated by others for the way he treats them. For this reason, he
becomes the perfect target for Maria, Feste, Fabian, and Sir Toby s sweet revenge. When they are
planning to give Malvolio a forged love letter to humiliate him to Olivia and all others around, Sir
Toby says, He shall think by the letters that thou wilt drop that they come from my niece, and that she
s in love with him, (2.3.148 150). Not to mention, the fake love letter is made even more believable
when Maria admits she can write very like my lady, (2.3.143). Deceiving Malvolio because of the way
he treats others is the first time characters used lies and deceit for revenge. The next time the
characters are witnessed lying for reasons of revenge in Twelfth Night is when Sir Toby, Feste, Fabian,
and Maria continue to mess with Malvolio and try to convince Olivia that he has indeed gone crazy.
After Malvolio has fallen for the counterfeit letter and goes to meet Olivia acting very strangely, Maria
explains to Olivia that Malvolio is in a very strange manner, and is, sure possessed, (3.4.8...9). In
saying this, Maria is suggesting that Malvolio is crazy and possessed by the devil, trying to hurt
Malvolio more than they already have. Nearing the end of the play, when everyone admits to playing
the trick on Malvolio, Feste states, thus whirling of time brings in his revenges meaning what goes
around, comes around (5.1.363 364). Feste is inferring that Malvolio got what he deserves for what he
always did to them. For the purposes of revenge and personal gain are not the only reasons characters
turn to lying and deceiving others sometimes in can be for more comical

Siddhartha Reflection
Siddhartha was laying down by the river contemplating life. What is the point of living when you are
not happy? Then his childhood best friend came along and waited til Siddhartha awoke and made sure
he was ok and helped him get back on his feet. Siddhartha written by Hermann Hesse.shows the ups

Doris Lessing Group Minds
In the article Group Minds, Doris Lessing argues that humans are very susceptible to institutional
group ideas or opinions. She states that humans are animals at their purest form, and as animals, we
behave in a group like way. Most humans essentially go with the herd in order to fit into the status
quo, and many do not break out of that boundary. At the beginning of Doris s article, she starts to
extract the minds of the citizens living in western/democratic societies, on their belief of individuality
and freedom, instead of conformity to the pressures of their world. She states that those people believe
whole heartedly in their individual opinions and decisions, but almost everyone refers to their peers
for help. Moreover, leading that mind to conforming to its peers. On the contrary, when a person
chooses to be isolate and not adhere to their groups, for ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In this experiment, there is the majority, and the minority. There are two pieces of wood, which are
almost the same length but just enough to notice a difference. The majority is told to keep the opinion
that the pieces of wood are the same length. While, the minority is told the opposite. They are then
told to mingle and discuss the issue. The majority stays persistent, and the minority does too, until
they basically give up. Thus, the minority conforms to the majority. Lessing then asks the readers if
they would give in acting as the minority, When put as badly, as unflatteringly, as this, reactions tend
to be incredulous: I certainly wouldn t give in, I speak my mind.... But would you?, (Lessing, 2011).
This leads people to a very relatable, yet odd reflection of one s sense of self and strength. Lessing
then brings up a very interesting and primal idea that the hardest thing to do in life is to speak out
against one s self found

My Work Experience In High School Community
I sprinted into school and up four flights of stairs, and returned to the announcer s booth. When I
arrived, I was exhausted and disheveled, and worst of all the game had already begun. I turned the
microphone on and caught my breath. The silence that filled the stands was overtaken by the laughter
that filled the crowd as my co announcer and I cracked corny jokes and encouraged everyone to cheer
for the powder puff football game. As my voice hung over our entire high school community, I
understood why I am comfortable announcing this spirit event before homecoming, performing
backflips on the field and leading karaoke during the football games. I am proud to create an
atmosphere of fun that unifies our community. With kids from 47 zip codes attending Summit Country
Day, it can be difficult to realize commonalities, so I value my role in bringing everyone together.

If you were able to turn back the clock about 354 million years ago, you would come across one of
earth s most interesting and vibrant period of time. You would see giant dragonflies and cockroaches,
humongous ferns, green plants and trees, and even a coal forest. You would experience the beauty of
the tall mountains and the creepiness of slithery millipede. So let s turn back time, and revisit the jaw
dropping period of time known as Carboniferous. In the U.S., scientists divide the Carboniferous into
two parts: the earlier Mississippian (359.2 million to 318.1 million years ago) and the later

The Arthopleau was the largest known land invertebrate of all time. They were 1 8 ½ feet long and are
related to millipedes and centipedes. Since there were no fossil mouth parts to ever be found, scientists
thought for a while that they were carnivores. But the recent discovery of plant s pollen in the animals
guts ( ew, I know) have suggested that the Ortho Pleau was actually a herbivore. The last animal I am
going to talk about are the reptiles. During this time, reptiles were changing and evolving quickly.
Some reptiles had sharp teeth that is similar to our modern day crocodile. Others had scaly and thick
skin, which would keep them hydrated if they were away from water for a while. There were also
small reptiles, whose fossils were found inside tree stumps. Amphibians and fish also thrived during
this time. The first dinosaurs like the t rex, spinosaurus, and velociraptor, were also first appearing.
The climate of this period was humid and warm. There was lots of oxygen, plants, animals, and
beauty. But towards the end of this period, things started to change. The temperatures dropped, due to
glaciers that moved across the south pole. There were no mass extinctions because of this , but
however, many marine species did go extinct. These included Horn corals, trilobites and some forms
of crinoids. They were just a preview of the mass extinctions that were soon to come in the Devonian

Traumatic Experiences And Depression Among Vietnamese...
Since Indochinese refugees started arriving in the United Sates, the main concern have been voiced
about consequences of the war and their experiences on their mental health. There haven t been any
studies that examined the complex relationships between psychological traumatic experiences and
depression among Vietnamese Americans. Studies on the mental health status of people after traumatic
experiences in war, Nazi concentration camps, and natural disasters found that traumatic social and
natural events are related to various forms of psychological problems among the victims (Tran, 1993).
Most refugees fled from Vietnam to the United States to get away from the horrifying tragic.
According to (Kunz, 1973), refugees are pushed out of their country, whereas immigrants are pulled

The Process Of Survival In Hatchet By Gary Paulsen
The process of survival is a basis laid upon many significant factors and it can become an educational
experience in which an individual may learn the skill of independent thinking and will inevitably gain
new insights into themselves. These ideas are considered throughout the contemporary novel, Hatchet,
by Gary Paulsen in which the protagonist, Brian, undertakes tremendous trials. Through their
experiences, the protagonist obtains further knowledge about himself, others, and the world.
Through addressing barriers that have been thrust upon them, an individual will learn how to cope
with struggles in everyday life and gain increased knowledge about themselves. Hatchet is a novel
about a young city boy whose plane crashes in the Canadian wilderness while he is on his way to see
his father. All he has is a hatchet and a desperate will to survive. Your emotional state is very
important to how you act and this is evident when Brian was attempting to spear a fool bird. The
quote: They exasperated him to the point where they were driving him insane is a hyperbole that
demonstrates to what degree Brian is being challenged which teaches him better determination and
resilience. This is further reiterated in the quote: In the roaring plane with no pilot, he was alone.
Alone. which shows up in the text just before Brian crashes. This personification and repetition
teaches Brian about perseverance and the ability to be alone. This is also an example of truncated

American Honey Bees
Someone considers them dangerous because they use the sting as an extreme defense gesture that
costs them their lives. Someone, confusing them with the wasps, considers them harmful, believing
that they can ruin fruits with the jaws. Instead, bees are very important for the entire ecosystem and
for the human economy.
This genus of the Apidae family carries out an important work of pollinating a large variety of plants,
providing a great deal of food to man and other animals. Their function as a pollinator is also
fundamental in the agricultural sector so that many farmers require beekeepers to place beehives
during the flowering period, for example in Italy for almonds in the Sicily region and apples in the
Trentino Alto Adige region.
The best known product is honey, yet the beekeeping sector is much wider and represents a relevant
part of European agriculture. The other bees products we can find on the market are wax, propolis,

Collapse Of Hawaii Essay
HONOLULU, Hawaii A giant stream of molten hot lava is shooting out of a sea cliff on Hawaii
Island. The lava is pouring into the Pacific Ocean. It is exploding as soon as it hits the water.
Molten lava is rock that is so hot is has become liquid. It can erupt out of the mouth of volcanos. It can
also pour out of natural tunnels known as lava tubes.
The huge new lava flow originates from within the Kilauea volcano. It is gushing from a lava tube
exiting on the southeast side of the Big Island.
The tube was exposed when a huge lava delta broke off and fell into the ocean on New Year s Eve. A
lava delta is new land formed when lava cools and becomes solid. The collapse of this delta triggered

High Cost Of College Education Essay
Many students dream of having a college education since they began attending school. They believe
that a college education will help them obtain a stable career and be successful. Unfortunately, the cost
of college tuition is steadily rising, hindering many of these students from achieving their dream of
earning a four year degree. Some people claim that college is not for everyone, but work is, thereby
placing a greater emphasis on trade schools. The high cost of college, however, should not inhibit
students from reaching their dreams of having a higher education. A college education has numerous
benefits, and whoever truly desires having one will find the means to do so. Perspective One asserts
that the incredibly high cost of tuition is reasonable because it is returned to the students in the form of
improved infrastructure, technology, and services available on college campuses. Students do not
spend thousands of dollars to use the campus s technology or infrastructure when they could very well
use their own. A portion of the tuition might be utilized for the housing of the student. It pays for the

Ned Kelly Cruelty
Such is life These words is thought to be Ned Kelly s last before he was hanged for his crimes. But
who was Ned Kelly? What did Ned do that he deserved to be hanged? Why was Ned important? To
many Ned Kelly is seen as a hero, to others he was seen as a villain but in either event he changed
what would later be Australia. Was Ned Kelly good or bad? Before we understand Ned s story we
must understand Austraila before Ned. Australia was first inhabited by the Aborigonals (the
indigenous people) and was left alone by the outside world until Europeans first had set sail for the
country at around 1606. Between 1606 and 1770 an estimated 54 European ships had came to

were badly needed but many on the second fleet were ill and many were near death. None of the

staff to increase positive communication patterns. The study will result in a deeper understanding of
positive, effective communication with residents which can be shared and used by the facility.
Reducing the use of elderspeak in the nursing home could increase positive messages and empower
residents to have a voice in their care. Helping staff understand and develop positive communication

Life Of Pi Short Story
The True Story of Pi Patel The book The Life of Pi was an exquisite story where a young boy, Piscine
Patel, experiences hardships like no other. Although it begins with a slow start, it takes a drastic turn,
and everything but Pi s faith in God and religion changes. His faith in God remains unwavered,
although he does get angry and doubts God at some points. He tells a story to obtain a false sense of
reality, but reveals the truth to what actually happened at the end of the book. The story he told about
the animals was an attempt to block out the memories of his mother being stabbed to death by the
cook. Nobody who experiences those feelings wants to, and being on a lifeboat with a man who killed
your mother, you would need a distraction. The distraction Pi had was creating the fake story about the
animals and carnivorous island. Due to the extreme detail he put into creating the story with Richard
Parker, it is hard to say it was all a lie, but what he told the Japanese investigators was just impossible.
There is simply no such thing as a carnivorous island, and the odds of coming across another blind
Frenchman in a lifeboat in the pacific are nearly impossible. Although the first story is easier for Pi to
bear, the second, more gruesome one, is the true story of what happened. He had 227 days to come up
with the detailed story he first told, but the investigators stated, We want a story without animals that
will explain the sinking of the Tsimtsum. (Page 168).

How women are presented in Of Mice and Men , The Farmer Bride and, Coy mistress . Of Mice and

Mass Shooting, Mass Changes, And Mass Stalling
Mass Shooting, Mass Changes, and Mass Stalling Gun fire. Schklikt, klikt. One, two, three, four...
There are too many shots to count. They seem random, but every single one sends a chill down your
back. Laughter, shrill, joyous laughter just outside the library s doors echoes through the hallway. Your
heart stops, you freeze. Any movement could be your killer. After what feels like hours you hear an
explosion below. Get under the tables! You scurry over to the nearest table and look towards the
entrance. Dark shadows appear and you pull your knees closer to your chest. The doors burst open.
The gunmen cross over to the west windows that shatter when the bullets hit them. Schklikt, klikt. You
hold your breath as the screams from outside echo into the library. It takes everything inside you not to
cry, not to scream. The gunmen turn away from the windows and grin. They know what they have
done, and they are proud of it. Shots are fired, and a chorus of cries erupt from the victims. You see a
set of legs walk toward you. You bury your face in your knees and began to pray for your life, for this
all to end, for this to be a nightmare, a terrible nightmare. You pray to wake up. Peek a boo. On the
20th day of April, in 1999, the small town of Littleton, Colorado was shakened. The effect of the
Columbine school shooting rippled throughout the country, chilling people to the core. Parents kept

after the Gallo tour I have many questions answered. In this paper you will learn many different things
about how a production plant runs and what they continually do to make improvements in all aspects

what type of processes are utilized in the plant, and whether this company uses a lean production
process or not. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The next step in the process is called the rinser, where the bottles are then inverted and rinsed to wash
away contaminants most importantly any excess pieces of glass. Then the bottles are moved to the
eight different types of fillers that Gallo uses, the fill height is either adjustable or depends on the
pressure of the wine in the surge tank. Once the bottles are filled with the selected product, they are
then fed from a hopper upstairs in FW to be corked or capped. After being closed and completely
sealed, the products is transformed to the Labeller machine which either uses cold glue or pressure
labels. The labels are either spliced or continuous, with the front label pressured on and the back label
is put on with cold glue. Once all other steps are completed the final process that Gallo uses is the
packing step which all bottles are placed into the box, and the box is glued and closed mechanically.
Some lines use a Palletizer machine which is a device that is used to stack factory goods and products
on to a pallet. To make sure everything runs smoothly and on time Gallo has a good support system to
help them continually moving forward. It starts with the Production Engineer that has the task of
making sure everything is running sufficiently. There is a section called Training and Technology

104LON Introduction to Organisational Behaviour
The Leadership Style of Anne Wintour
Nawid Obaydi
British born Anna Wintour, born on November 3rd 1948 is the current editor in chief of world
renowned fashion magazine Vogue . Having started her career in fashion in the early 1970 s working
at Harpers and Queen in London, Anna Wintour has decades of experience in the fashion industry and
is seen as one of the most influential figures in the fashion world. Anna Wintour was born to a father
who was editor of the London Evening Standard , it was quite clear that Anna adopted her stern and

to his cold demeanour quite like his daughter ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Anna Wintour can also be described as aloof and emotionally distant from others which could be a
reason as to why she is in such high demand, these specific personality traits also coincide with
Allports personality theory within which he states that people within a specific population area share
the same trait(s) (Allport). This theory could relate to Anna Wintour due to the fact that she was born
in England and the English culture could be argued is not one that is particularly an emotional culture
especially within the early 1940 s which is when Anna was born. Anna Wintour s father Charles
Wintour could also be the reason behind Anna s emotionless personality due to the fact that Charles
Wintour was an editor who displayed a tough and stern personality style within the workplace and this
proved to be a success for him so it may seem as if Anna is following in her father s footsteps. Having
observed Anna Wintour through various interviews and magazine articles, one specific identifiable
trait that she possesses is the fact that she has a strong sense of self belief as she does not change her
personality or the way in she conducts herself depending on where she is or who she is with even

The Armenian Arts
The exquisite country of Armenia is found in the Southern Caucasus region, and it borders Georgia,
Azerbaijan, Iran, and Turkey. With a history dating back all the way to 600 B.C., Armenia is
considered the oldest Christian nation. Its capital, Yerevan, is the largest city and is well known for its
tourist attractions. Armenia s population is around ten million people. The Armenian Genocide, the
tragic earthquake, and several wars with other nations have affected what this country stands for
today. Armenia s fascinating architecture, music and dance, and textiles have all been greatly
influenced by its ancient history and Christian heritage.
Armenia s ancient history and adoption of Christianity are shown in the elegant styles of this country s
architecture. Each monument has different features, but they all have the same characteristic; they are
made out of stone. Some buildings are carved into a cave or mountain! You will likely find several
architectural features in almost every monument. These features are stone cupolas and Khachkars.
Many Armenian churches have stone cupolas. Stone cupolas are domes that sit on top of great big
domes. Armenian architects use them as decoration or adornment. As you can probably imagine, these
cupolas weigh a ton, which is why there are arches to help support them. Another key architectural
feature you will definitely spot in Armenia is Khachkars, stone crosses. There are approximately
20,000 Khachkars in the country. These stone crosses

The Equine Genetic Disease Hyperkalemic Periodic Paralysis...
In this paper, I will be discussing the equine genetic disease Hyperkalemic Periodic Paralysis (HYPP)
or Impressive Syndrome. I will share the origins of HYPP through the genetic influence of an
American Quarter Horse Stallion called Impressive. There will be coverage of the signs of HYPP and
comparison to similar symptoms found in other ailments. I will explain the causes of HYPP attacks in
regards to the abnormalities in afflicted horse s potassium levels and voltage gaited sodium channels.
In closing, I will provide recommendations in management practices, prevention and possibilities for
eliminating for HYPP from the equine industry.
Hyperkalemic periodic paralysis (HYPP) is a muscle disease found in different lines of registered
Quarter Horses, Appaloosas and Paints. Affected horses often display well developed muscles and are
often shown very successfully in halter classes. HYPP has been traced back to one stallion named
Impressive and has the alternative name, Impressive Syndrome. In 1969, Impressive was foaled on a
farm in Ohio and was bred to be a racehorse. He was sired by a thoroughbred named Three Bars, and
dammed by a quarter horse named Glamour Bars (Moore). As a two year old he was broken to ride
and sent to the track, but was never raced because of his stocky and muscular physic. Thus, he was
sent to the show ring where he went on to achieve a very distinguished career in the halter arena. Of
his 31 attempts in the halter arena Impressive won all 31 times. He

How Is Tom Buchanan And George Wilson Alike
Tom Buchanan and George Wilson are really similar but different. In the book The Great Gatsby Two
old lovers finally reunite, but this time things were not the same. Gatsby the broke, army man, who is
in love with Daisy, Toms wife. Nick the one who is stuck in between of the lover drama. In
conclusion, don be the one who is stuck in the middle of the drama, try to exclude yourself, its the best
thing to do!
Tom the old, ignorant man, who was born wealthy, with slave owners as his ancestors, he thinks he
can do what he wants when he wants, just because he has money. for an example when him and
Myrtle (Wilson s wife) whom Tom is having an affair with; She was saying Daisy, Daisy, Daisy. Tom
told her Don t ever say that. Myrtle didn t listen, and Tom being the ignorant man he is, slapped her.
Toms respect towards girls is a lot different than Wilson s. in the book The Great Gatsby Wilsons
never hit a girl, he yelled at Myrtle, but that is because he knew she was having an affair. Wilson was a
hard working man, and never really had time to show love to Myrtle. Tom, when he was home, the
phone always rang, and he would say can t talk now , Daisy soon caught on. But tom still has shown
her love, hell they had a kid together. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

work, Wilson owns his own garage and works in it for a living. Some similarities are Tom is a cheater,

he is having an affair with Daisy. Tom and Wilson are alike also, they both are cowards, Tom doesn t
like Gatsby because Gatsby is Daisy s old lover. Tom tells Wilson where Gatsby lives for the hit and
run, and Tom knew this was his chance to get rid of Gatsby. Later on, Wilson kills

The Influence Of The Realism Movement In France
The Realism Movement in France
Gustave Courbet, a major influence of the Realism movement, defined Realism as a human
conclusion which awakened the very forces of man against paganism, Greco Roman art, the
Renaissance, Catholicism, and the gods and demigods, in short against the conventional ideal (New
World Encyclopedia). According to the Merriam Webster Collegiate Dictionary, the definition of
realism is the theory or practice in art or literature of fidelity to nature or to real life and to accurate
representation without idealization of the most typical views, details, and surroundings of the subject
(Merriam Webster). Realism was an artistic and cultural movement that first occurred in Europe
during the mid nineteenth century. It ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
It was based on direct observation of the modern world, with more focus on the life of the majority
and not just the elite. Writers and artists started to move away from the old traditions and styles and
started to portray reality. Realist writers tried to accurately reflect social conditions in their novels, and
realist painters created works with almost photographic attention to detail ( Notes ).
Literary Realism began as a cultural movement with its roots in France, where it rapidly spread to
different countries in Europe. In literature, realism came into being as a response to Romanticism, and
it was an attempt to focus literature on the objective and the concrete. Early theorists of Realism
advocated a plain writing style, devoid of moral intention or authorial interpretation, that was
primarily concerned with character and represented common people engaged in everyday activities (
French ). Authors began writing works that possessed several unique characteristics such as the
stories, or plots, being simple and secondary to the characters who tended to be from the lower or
middle class and spoke the way people really heard them. They were portrayed in their social setting,
which shaped their actions and their choices. The physical and social surroundings were illustrated in

Christianity In Religion
Christianity as a Religion of the Status Quo
Matthew Fields

characteristic ideology through all segments of society, propounding a set of fundamental values and
principles that, while expressed in terms of lofty abstraction or eternal truth...serves to further the
interests of those who hold power... (Lincoln 79). In layman s terms, a status quo religion is used by
those in a seat of power within a society as a tool to maintain and propagate power. The best existing

With its fluidity and ever magnifying physical presence, Christianity has spread with the powers of the
world. Speculation of Christian growth combined with historical evidence show how it has spread: In
1900, 83 percent of the world s Christians lived in Europe and North America. In 2050, 72 percent of
Christians will live in Africa, Asia, and Latin America (Jenkins xi). This demographic and geographic
change can be traced back to the beginning of Christian Imperialism. The Roman Empire adopted
religion in the Fourth Century and spread its word across the Empire. Christian writings originally
written in Coptic and Greek began to be written in Latin (Jenkins 22). Although the Romans left
Britain in the Fifth Century, the indigenous Celts and Anglo Saxon peoples of the Isle had learned of
Christianity though Roman conquest and adopted it as their official religion in the Seventh Century
(Jenkins 23). Firmly rooted in Britain, Christianity was able to stowaway on the boats of missionaries
and soldiers as the English Empire spread its wings. Following the Protestant Reformation and
establishment of the Anglican Church, English settlers pushed West across the Atlantic seeking
religious freedom and the ability to raise a new Church the way they saw fit (Merriman 407). These
brave men and women were Pilgrims and Puritans and they carried the torch of Christianity to the
New World. With the establishment of the British colonies in the New World came the eventual
establishment of the United States, the world s next great power in succession after Rome and Britain.
Christianity is and always was the dominant religion of the United States, and as technology
developed and sharing information became easier, global communication and travel increased. With
the Christian faith firmly grounded on both sides of the Atlantic, these developments made it easier to
spread its word and convert even more people to the cause of

Speech On Denture Adhesive
Introduction
Many people approach purchasing a denture adhesive with some degree of anxiety and skepticism.
However, once you get over the initial apprehensiveness, you ll come to appreciate denture adhesives
as a great way to ensure you dentures remain firmly rooted in your mouth all day long. While there is
no way to determine the absolute best denture adhesive available, today I m going to be showing you
some of the my personal favorites.
What is a Denture Adhesive?
I m sure you already understand the basic idea of a denture adhesive to prevent your dentures from
slipping off your gums throughout the day but do you know what exactly goes into one? Obviously, all
denture adhesives will vary slightly in their ingredients, but most ... Show more content on

those who have used it insist it is worth every penny.
Pros
Extra Strong Hold
The Effergrip Denture Adhesive Cream may look rather unimpressive in terms of its packaging, but it
offers an incredible performance. With an extra strong hold, it ensures your dentures stay in place
from the moment you put them in your mouth in the morning right through to the moment you take
them out at night.
No Aftertaste
A common problem with a lot of denture adhesives is that they leave an aftertaste every time you
swallow. The Effergrip Denture Adhesive Cream, however, leaves virtually no aftertaste and allows
you to enjoy every meal you eat throughout the day.
Cons
Difficult To Find In Shops
There was a time when the Effergrip Denture Adhesive Cream was as widely available as the products
of Fixodent. Unfortunately, for whatever reason, the product has become frustratingly difficult to find
in shops across the United States of America. It can still be purchased online, but that may prove
difficult for a lot of less technologically gifted denture wearers.

Freud And The Ego Ideal Research Paper
According to Freud, the ego ideal is the source of narcissism that relates to repression and the
unconscious, topics explored in his other theories. In this essay, he discusses the ego ideal and the
actual ego. The ego ideal is the representation of what one wants to become. It is the perfect, idealized
version of one s self. The actual ego is the reality of that person. The ego ideal ultimately serves the
pleasure principle. One of the opposing drives Freud presents is the drive for pleasure. An argument
Freud presents in his essay is where does self serving for pleasure end and fulfilment of
responsibilities begin? Our impulses drive us to nourish and protect ourselves. This drive, part of the
pleasure principle, is an effect of the ideal ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
His ideas of actual love relate to narcissism in regards to the understanding of love. In other words,
love and narcissism seem to go hand in hand. The concept of narcissism was developed in part by
studying psychosis and, pragmatically, narcissism explained the intractability of psychosis to
psychoanalysis (Sharpless, 211). Sharpless uses Freud s theories of narcissism to not only report the
facts, but to use his theories in action. Where does love come from? Where does narcissism come
from? In this essay, Sharpless states the love derives from narcissism, an idea that is supported by
Freud s theories. The use of Freud in this essay concerning romantic love leads to the conclusion that
love comes from the unconscious. Our ego believes that it is controlling our thoughts and actions.
However, it is likely that the unconscious makes the ego believe this and instead, controls what we
think, say, and do without our conscious recognition. If love is connected to narcissism, Sharpless
theorizes that actual love is connected to pain for the lover. Coming to a happy love and working
through the impediments to reach such a state entails the gaining of self knowledge and a continual
modification of one s ego to a state that is likely commensurable with the lover s (Sharpless, 223).

related to shape and proportion, and a picture of a race car used as a watch face is an example of a
surface design. A patent is a property right to an inventor. patents grant the right to exclude others

Antigua and Barbuda described Barbuda as barely habitable.
September 7: Irma left hundreds in Puerto Rico without power. It hit the northern part of Haiti and the
Dominican Republic with 15 inches of rain.
September 8: Irma remained a Category 5 hurricane with wind of 175 mph. It affected the Turks and

The interruption measures up to the record set by Hurricane Sandy in 2012, which left 8m homes
without control for a normal of eight days. The moving of America s populace to beach front groups,
where 39% of the populace live, implies Americans are more helpless against rising tides. One out of
12 lives in a home that can expect a 1% possibility of flooding in any given year, as indicated by
information distributed in the Annals of the American Association of Geographers in June. Urban
improvement on floodplains moderated in the vicinity of 2001 and 2011, however not in Manhattan
and Miami. Around 15% of Manhattan and 40% of Miami are in surge hazard zones.
President Trump declared emergencies in Florida, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands. On
September 6, Florida s Governor ordered residents of the Keys to evacuate.
The Facts on Hurricane Irma s Damage
As of September 23, 2017, the death toll was 102 people, including 75 in Florida. Of those, 11 seniors
perished in a nursing home that lost its air conditioning. Fourteen people died in the Florida Keys.
Irma damaged 90 percent of the buildings on Barbuda. It destroyed almost all communication, and left
60 percent of the population homeless. The government evacuated 300 citizens to Antigua. Florida
officials ordered 6.5 million people to evacuate. There were 77,000 people in 450 shelters.

Analysis of Acquainted with the Night and Stopping by the...
Research Paper first draft
16th Nov 2011
In a Dark Night, I Find My Answers. The two poems Stopping By Woods on a Snowy Evening and
Acquainted with the Night written by Robert Frost are very similar to each other because of the
simplistic form of language used and the uses of metaphors. When we first read the poem, it looks like
an ordinary poem but once we go in depth and understand the meaning, it becomes so much more.
Both of the poem has a very dark, gloomy and lonely setting with a really mysterious tone. There are
different metaphors used in each poem to symbolize death; Sleep in Stopping By Woods on a Snowy
Evening and Night in Acquainted with the Night. The characters in the two poem are both in a journey
and has come ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
I have walked out in rain and back in rain. from Acquainted with the Night shows the depression of
the character because most of us relate to rain as an emotional moment and makes us feel vulnerable.
When it rains, the whole atmosphere becomes very gloomy and sad, and the author is trying to express
the characters sadness.
The character in Stopping by Woods in a Snowy Evening is a very old fashioned person because he is
with a horse and rides his horse through the woods. My little horse must think it queer. To stop
without a farmhouse near Between the woods and frozen lake shows how even his horse is surprised
to be stopping in the middle of the woods where there is no livelihood. It is very unusual even for the
horse to stop at this hour of the night because they should be trying to get home as soon as possible
since it is already dark. He gives his harness bells a shake. To ask if there is some mistake. express
how the horse is also very attentive about what is going on around him and his master s unusual
behavior. The horse tries to confirm with the character whether or not they have stopped in the right
place.
I have stood still and stopped the sound of feet. When far away an interrupted cry. Came over houses
from another street. But not to call me back or say good bye, from Acquainted With the Night shows
that the character is looking for a sign for him to look back but it was not

Rabbit Proof Fence Dehumanization
In the film Rabbit Proof Fence (Fence), director Philip Noyce has portrayed the extended effects of the
cruel treatment of the half caste children. This is done through evidence of physical and sexual abuse,
the dehumanization of the Indigenous children, and the forced cultural assimilation of the taken
Aboriginal children. Therefore the statement is true to a large extent, however the ways in which
Noyce does this are occasionally ambiguous and vague. Throughout the film the dehumanization and
animalization of the Indigenous peoples is an especially prevalent theme, and is featured many times.
The cruelty inflicted into the Aboriginal children is shown to have long term effects on them (again
shown through how Mavis is very scared in her adult years). These effects can also be seen through
Moodoo s experiences, working for Mr. Neville in an attempt to get his daughter out of the Moore
River camp. These examples are not the only ones throughout the movie, symbolizing how the
Aboriginals are treated much in the same way as livestock or animals. Also shown through having the
half caste children referred to as a third unwanted race ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Through Mavis s accounts in the movie it is evident that she is being abused by her
employer/landlord. Other people like Mavis s landlord have been known to sexually abuse the grown
up Aboriginal children, in order to breed the Aboriginal out . In scenes in the Moore River camp, the
fairer skinned children in the camp are chosen by Mr. Neville and are taken away to live with
European families, to eventually contribute to the project Mr. Neville is trying to accomplish (making
the next generations of the Indigenous children whiter and upgrading them to white status). However
insightful the short scenes of Mavis and other scenes throughout the movie, the topic of abuse is not
covered especially in detail, but is still an important issue in the

21st Century Spin On Literature
21st Century Spin on Literature
In today s 21st century of life, there are millions and millions of books, short stories, and poems.
Authors have been scripting out different tales since before the 1st century. Therefore giving one
plenty of options when it comes to not only reading, but analyzing, evaluating, and even interpreting
the literature standpoint that you receive from picking up a good book. The three themes from the
book How to Read Literature Like a Professor, written by Thomas C. Foster, can be applied to pieces
of literature such as Frank Stockton s The Lady or the Tiger? , Shirley Jackson s The Lottery , and The
Minister s Black Veil by Nathaniel Hawthorne. Several themes in How to Read Literature Like a
Professor like Nice to Eat You: Acts of Vampires, Now Where Have I Seen Her Before?, and Is That a
Symbol? play into the famous short stories mentioned above. The Acts of Vampires is a theme that
deals with The Lady, or the Tiger? and how the corrupt older male strips away the females virtues and
youth. Now Where Have I Seen Her Before? deals with the short story The Lottery and how every
story comes from another story, and nothing is original because it is always a spin off of another book.
Lastly, Is That a Symbol? deals with The Minister s Black Veil and how symbolic the minister s black
veil really is. When one hears the word vampire, one automatically thinks of the evil monster that
sucks the blood and life out of people.

He mentioned we should live an uncomplicated life because materials can become obsessive and serve as idols. While many associate religions with poverty, others think money symbolized envy, greed, and evil. According to the Holy Bible, a rich man will face difficulty to enter heaven because it states that for a rich man to enter heaven is harder than for a camel to fit in the eye of a needle . Containing an enormous amount of money cannot prevent an individual from going to heaven, however, the change of character money may cause can produce problems. Money can affect a to person s morals. Suddenly your budget of $60 increase to $115. Holidays like Black Friday is a way for companies to make money while consumers are lacking in self control. • 3. Identification And Identification Identification has two elements most people know and focus on the first; most companies are notoriously poor at the second. The first Identification element is, not surprisingly, to understand the characteristics of potential and current customers, as well as their influencers. This means delving into what needs they have, what motivates those needs, how they want those needs solved, and who else influences those needs and potential solutions. It also means looking beyond those presenting symptoms to the underlying problem that needs to be solved (even if the customer themselves doesn t recognize it). For example, many people will say that the need to own a car when what they actually need is transportation. And that broader need can be solved in many ways other than owning a car (bus, bike, taxi, Uber). The second Identification element described by Peppers and Rogers is to, link information about that customer across the company and throughout the duration of the customer s relationship with the firm. This is where I would argue that most companies have a long way to go to be successful. For example, the first step when calling many companies is to enter your customer ID/Social Security number/whatever on the telephone keypad . . . and then the first thing the person who (eventually!) answers the phone does is to ask you for the information you just entered! In addition, from personal experience, I have run into many situations where sales representatives ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 4. Platelets Platelets, along with red cells and plasma, form a major proportion of both human blood. Platelets are fragments of the cells in bone marrow, called megakaryocytes. Stimulated by the hormone thrombopoietin, platelets break off the megakaryocytes and enter the blood stream, where they circulate for about 10 days before ending their cycle in the spleen. In the healthy body, thrombopoietin will help to maintain the count of platelets at a normal level. Platelets provide the necessary hormones and proteins for coagulation. Collagen is released when the lining of a blood vessel is damaged. The platelet recognizes collagen and begins to work on coagulating the blood by forming a stopper, so further damage to the blood vessel is prevented. There they roll along the surface of the vessel wall, which is lined by cells called endothelium. The endothelium surface prevents anything from sticking to it. However when there is an injury or cut, and the endothelial layer is broken, the tough fibers that surround a blood vessel are exposed to the liquid flowing blood. It is the platelets that react first to injury. The tough fibers surrounding the vessel wall, attract platelets and platelets then clump onto these fibers, providing the initial seal to prevent bleeding, the leak of red blood cells and plasma through the vessel ... Though the meaning is similar, different from food security, food safety concentrates more on health aspects rather than sufficiency. So what is food safety? Food safety is a scientific discipline describing handling, preparation, and storage of food in ways that prevent foodborne illness. (AmercianPeanutCouncil, 2014) This prevents civils from severe health hazards and in this way is the food safety similar to the definition of food defense. I collected data from different websites and summarized them in a chart. Here is the performance of countries based on their 2015 food safety score. (Charlebois, 2014) Based on this chart, China ranks 42 in the whole world. It s clear that the situation of China s food safety is extremely severe worldwide. The cause of the food safety problem is intricate; however, before I explain the complex cause of food safety in China, I d like to illustrate the phenomenon of China s food safety problem which will definitely promote the comprehensibility of the causes of food safety problems. • 6. How Does Shakespeare Use Deception In Twelfth Night Most people have told a lie at least once in their life. People, both in reality and in fiction, have been lying through disguises and through their words for centuries. For many, lying and deceiving has become part of their day to day lives. Twelfth Night, one of William Shakespeare s many famous plays, is a romantic comedy that displays a wide range of topics and themes including this theme of lies and deception. The characters in the play use lies and deceit for several different reasons, some of which are personal gain, revenge, and sometimes purely for entertainment. Shakespeare first introduces the use of lies and deception for personal gain. Viola, a young women, is faced with being stranded in Illyria with no money, no family, ... Not to mention, the fake love letter is made even more believable when Maria admits she can write very like my lady, (2.3.143). Deceiving Malvolio because of the way he treats others is the first time characters used lies and deceit for revenge. The next time the characters are witnessed lying for reasons of revenge in Twelfth Night is when Sir Toby, Feste, Fabian, and Maria continue to mess with Malvolio and try to convince Olivia that he has indeed gone crazy. After Malvolio has fallen for the counterfeit letter and goes to meet Olivia acting very strangely, Maria explains to Olivia that Malvolio is in a very strange manner, and is, sure possessed, (3.4.8...9). In saying this, Maria is suggesting that Malvolio is crazy and possessed by the devil, trying to hurt Malvolio more than they already have. Nearing the end of the play, when everyone admits to playing the trick on Malvolio, Feste states, thus whirling of time brings in his revenges meaning what goes around, comes around (5.1.363 364). She states that humans are animals at their purest form, and as animals, we behave in a group like way. Most humans essentially go with the herd in order to fit into the status quo, and many do not break out of that boundary. At the beginning of Doris s article, she starts to extract the minds of the citizens living in western/democratic societies, on their belief of individuality and freedom, instead of conformity to the pressures of their world. Lessing then asks the readers if they would give in acting as the minority, When put as badly, as unflatteringly, as this, reactions tend to be incredulous: I certainly wouldn t give in, I speak my mind.... • 22. Life Of Pi Short Story The True Story of Pi Patel The book The Life of Pi was an exquisite story where a young boy, Piscine Patel, experiences hardships like no other. Although it begins with a slow start, it takes a drastic turn, and everything but Pi s faith in God and religion changes. His faith in God remains unwavered, although he does get angry and doubts God at some points. He tells a story to obtain a false sense of reality, but reveals the truth to what actually happened at the end of the book. The story he told about the animals was an attempt to block out the memories of his mother being stabbed to death by the cook. Nobody who experiences those feelings wants to, and being on a lifeboat with a man who killed your mother, you would need a distraction. The distraction Pi had was creating the fake story about the animals and carnivorous island. Due to the extreme detail he put into creating the story with Richard Parker, it is hard to say it was all a lie, but what he told the Japanese investigators was just impossible. There is simply no such thing as a carnivorous island, and the odds of coming across another blind Frenchman in a lifeboat in the pacific are nearly impossible. Although the first story is easier for Pi to bear, the second, more gruesome one, is the true story of what happened. He had 227 days to come up with the detailed story he first told, but the investigators stated, We want a story without animals that will explain the sinking of the Tsimtsum. (Page 168). ... They seem random, but every single one sends a chill down your back. Laughter, shrill, joyous laughter just outside the library s doors echoes through the hallway. Your heart stops, you freeze. Any movement could be your killer. After what feels like hours you hear an explosion below. Get under the tables! You scurry over to the nearest table and look towards the entrance. Dark shadows appear and you pull your knees closer to your chest. The doors burst open. The gunmen cross over to the west windows that shatter when the bullets hit them. Schklikt, klikt. You hold your breath as the screams from outside echo into the library. It takes everything inside you not to cry, not to scream. The gunmen turn away from the windows and grin. They know what they have done, and they are proud of it. Shots are fired, and a chorus of cries erupt from the victims. You see a set of legs walk toward you. You bury your face in your knees and began to pray for your life, for this all to end, for this to be a nightmare, a terrible nightmare. You pray to wake up. Peek a boo. According to the Merriam Webster Collegiate Dictionary, the definition of realism is the theory or practice in art or literature of fidelity to nature or to real life and to accurate representation without idealization of the most typical views, details, and surroundings of the subject (Merriam Webster). It was based on direct observation of the modern world, with more focus on the life of the majority and not just the elite. Writers and artists started to move away from the old traditions and styles and started to portray reality. Literary Realism began as a cultural movement with its roots in France, where it rapidly spread to different countries in Europe. In literature, realism came into being as a response to Romanticism, and it was an attempt to focus literature on the objective and the concrete. Early theorists of Realism advocated a plain writing style, devoid of moral intention or authorial interpretation, that was primarily concerned with character and represented common people engaged in everyday activities ( French ). Authors began writing works that possessed several unique characteristics such as the stories, or plots, being simple and secondary to the characters who tended to be from the lower or middle class and spoke the way people really heard them. In 2050, 72 percent of Christians will live in Africa, Asia, and Latin America (Jenkins xi). This demographic and geographic change can be traced back to the beginning of Christian Imperialism. The Roman Empire adopted religion in the Fourth Century and spread its word across the Empire. Christian writings originally written in Coptic and Greek began to be written in Latin (Jenkins 22). Although the Romans left Britain in the Fifth Century, the indigenous Celts and Anglo Saxon peoples of the Isle had learned of Christianity though Roman conquest and adopted it as their official religion in the Seventh Century (Jenkins 23). Firmly rooted in Britain, Christianity was able to stowaway on the boats of missionaries and soldiers as the English Empire spread its wings. Following the Protestant Reformation and establishment of the Anglican Church, English settlers pushed West across the Atlantic seeking religious freedom and the ability to raise a new Church the way they saw fit (Merriman 407). These brave men and women were Pilgrims and Puritans and they carried the torch of Christianity to the New World. With the establishment of the British colonies in the New World came the eventual establishment of the United States, the world s next great power in succession after Rome and Britain. In this essay, he discusses the ego ideal and the actual ego. The ego ideal is the representation of what one wants to become. It is the perfect, idealized version of one s self. The actual ego is the reality of that person. The ego ideal ultimately serves the pleasure principle. One of the opposing drives Freud presents is the drive for pleasure. The concept of narcissism was developed in part by studying psychosis and, pragmatically, narcissism explained the intractability of psychosis to psychoanalysis (Sharpless, 211). Sharpless uses Freud s theories of narcissism to not only report the facts, but to use his theories in action. Where does love come from? Where does narcissism come from? In this essay, Sharpless states the love derives from narcissism, an idea that is supported by Freud s theories. The use of Freud in this essay concerning romantic love leads to the conclusion that love comes from the unconscious. Our ego believes that it is controlling our thoughts and actions. However, it is likely that the unconscious makes the ego believe this and instead, controls what we think, say, and do without our conscious recognition. If love is connected to narcissism, Sharpless theorizes that actual love is connected to pain for the lover. Coming to a happy love and working through the impediments to reach such a state entails the gaining of self knowledge and a continual modification of one s ego to a state that is likely commensurable with the lover s (Sharpless, 223). ... • 47. Analysis of Acquainted with the Night and Stopping by the... Research Paper first draft 16th Nov 2011 In a Dark Night, I Find My Answers. The two poems Stopping By Woods on a Snowy Evening and Acquainted with the Night written by Robert Frost are very similar to each other because of the simplistic form of language used and the uses of metaphors. Both of the poem has a very dark, gloomy and lonely setting with a really mysterious tone. I have walked out in rain and back in rain. from Acquainted with the Night shows the depression of the character because most of us relate to rain as an emotional moment and makes us feel vulnerable. When it rains, the whole atmosphere becomes very gloomy and sad, and the author is trying to express the characters sadness. The character in Stopping by Woods in a Snowy Evening is a very old fashioned person because he is with a horse and rides his horse through the woods. My little horse must think it queer. To stop without a farmhouse near Between the woods and frozen lake shows how even his horse is surprised to be stopping in the middle of the woods where there is no livelihood. It is very unusual even for the horse to stop at this hour of the night because they should be trying to get home as soon as possible since it is already dark. He gives his harness bells a shake. To ask if there is some mistake. express how the horse is also very attentive about what is going on around him and his master s unusual behavior. The horse tries to confirm with the character whether or not they have stopped in the right place. I have stood still and stopped the sound of feet. When far away an interrupted cry. Came over houses from another street. But not to call me back or say good bye, from Acquainted With the Night shows that the character is looking for a sign for him to look back but it was not ... This is done through evidence of physical and sexual abuse, the dehumanization of the Indigenous children, and the forced cultural assimilation of the taken Aboriginal children. Therefore the statement is true to a large extent, however the ways in which Noyce does this are occasionally ambiguous and vague. Throughout the film the dehumanization and animalization of the Indigenous peoples is an especially prevalent theme, and is featured many times. The cruelty inflicted into the Aboriginal children is shown to have long term effects on them (again shown through how Mavis is very scared in her adult years). These effects can also be seen through Moodoo s experiences, working for Mr. Neville in an attempt to get his daughter out of the Moore River camp. These examples are not the only ones throughout the movie, symbolizing how the Aboriginals are treated much in the same way as livestock or animals. Also shown through having the half caste children referred to as a third unwanted race ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Through Mavis s accounts in the movie it is evident that she is being abused by her employer/landlord. Other people like Mavis s landlord have been known to sexually abuse the grown up Aboriginal children, in order to breed the Aboriginal out . In scenes in the Moore River camp, the fairer skinned children in the camp are chosen by Mr. Neville and are taken away to live with European families, to eventually contribute to the project Mr. Neville is trying to accomplish (making the next generations of the Indigenous children whiter and upgrading them to white status). However insightful the short scenes of Mavis and other scenes throughout the movie, the topic of abuse is not covered especially in detail, but is still an important issue in the ...
