Return Hunter-Gather Societies
Immediate return hunter gatherers is a way that used to describe the subsistence pattern of a hunter
gather society and how that subsistence pattern is echoed through all aspects of their society. In these
societies there is no such thing as food shelf life. Food this is gathered or hunted is used relatively
quickly without a lot of food storage. In order to maintain the food sources it is necessary to not over
consume on source over another. In order to do that it involves a highly mobile society that follows the
food. These societies are egalitarian because they are all only trying to survive. They have no
individual territorial claims but the society itself needs a larger area in order to survive because of they
way they subsist. Finally, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
They are not hung up on material possessions like cultures such as ours (Sahlins 1972). This affluent
society is characterized by a number of things. They have are one of these immediate return hunter
gathers. Using knowledge of local plants and animals they have an abundance of food in a place that
seems to be a food dessert. Not only that but they have a very notorious food source that gives them
everything they need to survive and be healthy while at it. Since they have such a varied diet they are
free of many health issues that come with a reliance on a few food sources. The transition to
agriculture in societies is usually characterized by things such as dental carries, liner enamel
hypoplasia which is caused by stress, and a general decrease in the strength of bones because of a loss
of ceartin nutrients. This not present in this original affluent society because of their diet. This was
alluded to before but materialism and material culture is not emphasized by the Ju hoansi. Since they
are such a mobile society everything they have has to be carried with them so having a lot of
possessions would be counter to their entire way of life. Also since the Ju hoansi are egalitarian if they
don t have something they can borrow it making completely pointless to have something if someone
else has it. Lastly the Ju hoansi have a lot of free time. Since their work is gathering the necessary
food for the day and they have such a masterful knowledge of the environment it does not take them a
lot of time to obtain everything they need in order r to be sustained. So compared to our society we go
to work to pay for all the things we have like a house, car, loans, and food while all the Ju hoansi need
to do is to obtain their food. All of the previous stated characteristics is what makes up Sahlins

Giovanni Battista Tiepolo s The Immaculate Conception
Dear John, How are you doing, work and your family? I hope very thing is going pretty good. It is my
pleasure to use this opportunity to write to you and inform you on my experience about my travel trip
to Madrid Spain during the Easter holidays. Actually it was a great experience of a life time, I visited
so many places but the most important and interesting that I want to share with you is my visit to the
MUSEO NACIONAL DEL PRADO museum in Madrid, which I get to see The Immaculate
Conception artwork. It was created by a roman artist Tiepolo, Giambattista during 1769 1769 in Rome
Italy. Which shows the Virgin Mary appears on the globe of the World and the crescent Moon,
stepping on the serpent of Original Sin and crowned by the Dove of the Holy Ghost. She is surrounded
by angels and by some of her customary symbols, including a spray of lilies, a palm branch, a fountain
and a mirror. The artist uses this scene to show the traditional manner of representing the Virgin s
Immaculate Conception, which occurred without Original Sin. Although it was expensive but I really
learn a lot and had a good time, the air ticket to Madrid Spain was $1499, and I spent $1600 other
expenses like local transport, food, gift and hotel, which cost 658 EUR, that $ 912 for 2 night at $456
per night. A number of countries are considered to be under the patronage of the Immaculate
Conception by pontifical decree. These include Argentina, Brazil, Ireland, Korea, Nicaragua, Nigeria,

Privacy, Laws, and Security Measures Essay
Today, there are many threats to information systems and the information contain contained on the

hackers, employees, natural disasters, and other threats. Some of the privacies issues can be risk to the
sporting goods store and justify the concerns of the CEO. There are security risks and application laws
which governs the privacy risks. Security measures can be implement by organizations which can
mitigate the risk to private information. Organizations face major privacy issues when it comes to

Accidental disclosure could be by word of mouth, lost papers or throwing paper away without
destroying it, or an employee losing a laptop, jump drive, or other mobile media. The sporting goods
store could potentially have privacy risks based on the major privacy issues discussed above. Since the
store accept credit card sales in the store and over the web via e Commerce transactions, the store
needs to protect credit card information. The internal network is more secure because of the DMZ,
which has at least two firewalls in between the internet and the internal network. According to
Easttom (2006), the DMZ is a demilitarized zone in which gives an additional layer of protection
between the internet services and the backend of the corporation resources, (Easttom, 2006). An
attacker may get into the DMZ, could cause problems with the web server and by then should be
detected, disconnected, or trap the attacker in the DMZ to prevent the attacker from getting into the
internal network. The email server is used for email communication with business partners and
customers, a man in the middle attack could intercept emails and forward the emails to their
destination while copying the message to the attacker. Another risk to privacy is the wireless network,
it needs to be locked down to prevent unauthorized access and use of the wireless to get into the
internal network. Facebook does leave the company open to viruses which can be planted on the page

Free-Will Vs Predestination
In order to answer the question, How do we reconcile our free will with the sovereignty and
determination of God? successfully, we must first define the terms free will and predestination. In
reference to the subject of salvation, free will means man s ability to choose the way to salvation or
not. Basically, it is man s ability to choose God without God s help. On the other hand, predestination
refers to the fact that God has chosen before the foundation of the world those whom He wishes to
save and those whom He wishes to condemn. In other words, man is chosen to be saved by God, not
for anything that he does, but simply because the Lord has chosen him for His good pleasure.
Although it may seem simple at first, this question of free will versus predestination is really not that
easy to unravel. First, free will must be further defined in the context of pre Fall, unregenerate,
regenerate, and glorified man. Before the Fall, Adam and Eve were perfect image bearers of God.
They had the ability to choose to sin and the ability to choose not to sin. In Latin, this state is best
known as posse peccare, posse non peccare. After the Fall, the man was in an unregenerate state with
the ability to sin but through the Fall he had lost the ability not to ... Show more content on

The answer is simple he cannot choose to go against his nature. If the man is unregenerate, he cannot
choose not to sin. In order for him ever to come into cooperation with God, then, he must be made
alive through regeneration, which is solely the work of the Holy Spirit. Jesus Christ Himself declared,
No one can come to Me unless the Father who sent Me draws him; and I will raise him up at the last
day (John 6:44). In John 8:36, Christ declares that if the son sets you free, then you are free indeed.
Nevertheless, Scripture never mentions man freeing or saving himself of his own free

Strict Laws In The Chrysalids
In the novel The Chrysalids by John Wyndham, the readers are introduced to traditions and strict
social agreements in Waknuk which lead to unfortunate destructions of their people. The Waknukians
only accept those who resemble God s image, which is a human without deformities unlike Sophie,
who has six toes; the blind acceptance of traditions leads to the ruination of the Waknuk society of The
Chrysalids. Due to strict laws, everyone is intensely devout in their religious beliefs and follows
exactly what is expected, however these strict laws cause more hatred, pain and prejudice. Moreover,
blindly accepting traditions leads to human destruction of freedom, self expression and ultimately
growth. Furthermore, human conquest and mental control ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Stripping the ability to have children is strong example of dehumanizing people with deformities, for
giving them unfair rights. Furthermore, along with many, people who are deviations are jealous of the
lives of those who normal since they can marry and have children. Spider man is jealous that norms
can have children and not the Fringe people, when he was young, David prayed that he becomes a
norm and lose his special abilities. As well as Anne, she is jealous that norms have the opportunity to
lead normal lives by marrying and having children. Spider man gets vengeful and kills his own brother
out of jealousy. This manifests that fringes people are not satisfied with their lives and the rules for
deviations are not fair since they want to have a family, although rules are rules. The fringes should
not be living a life of jealousy, they should have the freedom to do what they want. Moreover, people
in the fringes really want to have children, but they can not so they try to get with norms in order to
produce, evidently deviations are stripped the ability to have children. On the other hand, when Sophie
talks to David in the Fringes she says that she loves Gordon and would have children with him if she
could. Gordon is in a relationship with Sophie but wants children with Rosalind since she is able to
reproduce. This proves that people have little respect for deviations, and Sophie is heartbroken by the
fact Gordon wants Rosalind and resents Sophie for what she has been doomed to

Fundamentalist-Modernist Controversy Research Paper
THE INTERCONNECTION OF BIBLE INERRANCY WITH BAPTIST REVIVAL
Introduction
When Baptists are called Bible lovers, it not only means that they keep biblical principles, but it also
indicates that they believe what the Bible says. Although most denominations have given up their
position for the authority of the Bible, Baptists in America remain the largest and most organized
conservative group for supporting Bible inerrancy. However, the debates over Biblical inerrancy have
threatened even the Bible lovers with an unceasing controversy in Baptist history. The issue of Bible
inerrancy has caused many frictions and wounds among denominations as well as Baptist.
As concerned as this ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Princeton held outstanding conservative scholars such as A. A. Hodge and Benjamin Warfield; they
defended Bible inerrancy against the liberals and their high criticism toward the inspiration of the
whole Scripture. At first, the conservatives came to the conclusion, in a theological apology of
Princeton theologians, that nothing justified the ascription of error to any part of Scripture. Soon,
however, Princeton finally gave way to a modified and moderate view on the inerrancy of the Bible.
Eventually, the conservative theology of other denominations collapsed, and the Presbyterian
denomination separated due to the deviation from Bible inerrancy. Some became isolated and formed
their own sector by defending Bible inerrancy with the an advent of dispensational movement. This
dispensational conception of biblical inerrancy made a huge contribution to the fundamentalist
movement developing in the North among Baptists, Presbyterians, and independents during the

Solubility Lab Report
Solubility, which influences gases in solution, is dependent on temperature. When using water,
increasing the temperature decreases the solubility of gases. This is because whenever the temperature
of a gas increases, the kinetic energy of that gas increases as well. This causes intermolecular bonds to
break and allows the gas molecules to escape the liquid. The decreased temperature of the liquid
causes it to be more oxygen rich.
Liquid breathing is when an organism breathes an oxygen liquid as opposed to air, this liquid is
usually from the perfluorocarbon family. These types of fluorine compound can contain other
elements such as hydrogen, chlorine, or bromine. A common property of these liquids is high
solubility for respiratory gases. Also, this means that they can contain a large amount of oxygen and
carbon dioxide. In addition, the pressure of the gas is ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
As they go deeper into the water the pressure increases forcing the nitrogen molecules closer together,
making room for more to be absorbed. When a diver is ready to return to the surface they must do so
carefully. In their ascension, pressure lessens and the nitrogen will expand. As the diver s body cannot
hold as much nitrogen on the surface as it could in the water they must come up slowly to release the
nitrogen. It will go from the body tissues, to the blood, and then be exhaled. If a diver ascends too
rapidly, the nitrogen will form bubbles in the blood, travel through arteries, and prohibit blood flow to
body parts. This can cause tissue damage, or worse, and is known as decompression sickness. Even if
a diver does avoid this, some excess nitrogen will still remain in his body for hours or days after the
dive. For this reason, heavy exercise and flying is not recommended after a dive because it will cause
the nitrogen to be released to quickly, thus resulting in decompression

after his midnight ride, Paul Revere served as commander of land artillery in the catastrophic

also known for his contributions from his hammer and chisel. His ability to appeal to the colonial
people through works of his copper engravings demonstrated the power of propaganda. After the War,
Revere increased his business to open an iron foundry at the North End of Boston making utilitarian
cast iron products that were useful and widely purchased by the local people. He also opened a copper
mill which made bells for churches and rolled copper for the hulls of wooden ships. All of this
demonstrated that Paul Revere was a man of great talents, and was therefore indispensable to Boston s
fame in resisting the authority of the British Parliament and King George III. Paul Revere did not gain
immediate fame for his April 1775 Midnight Ride. In fact, it wasn t until Henry Wadsworth

Effects Of Alcohol Abuse On Children
Alcohol abuse and alcoholism can affect all aspects of a person s life. Even though it is legal for
anybody at least age twenty one and over, alcohol is commonly abused among adults. When people
think about alcohol abuse, they usually only focus on the one person who is drinking in excess, but
what if that person has a family or is a parent? How does alcoholism affect their children or loved
ones? The majority of people would suggest that binge drinking only mainly affects the one person
doing it, they do not realize that it affects their children and families as a whole. In general, children
and families are affected in a negative way when combated with the issue of a parent or very close
relative being an alcoholic. First, I will ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
It is staggering that child abuse happens more frequently when alcohol abuse is present. That can
create an even more toxic environment for the child, which could lead to many problems for him or
her in the immediate future. The Society for the Study of Addiction also states that children who
experience child abuse and neglect repetitively have been shown to experience poorer behavioral,
educational and mental health outcomes . That very hazardous environment is what children of
alcoholic parents are exposed to on a daily basis, breaking them down physically, socially, and
emotionally. Alcohol abuse with adults can have an even deeper effect on one s family and children
that might not be apparent at first. Debra Wood states that alcoholism with one adult can increase the
chance of the rest of his or her s family some day becoming an alcoholic. Wood also states that
genetics, social pressure, and problem behaviors learned from family or friends can lead to somebody
going down the path of alcohol abuse. Even though this seems like a fairly lopsided debate, there are
multiple factors that lead one to believe that getting over alcoholism can be a pretty easy fix.
Therefore meaning it would not be as much of a problem for the adults children and, or family. The
Brown University Digest of Addiction Theory Application states that heavy drinking in older adults
may signify ongoing alcohol problems . Knowing that the alcohol problems can lead to other more

Define Collective Rights
* Collective rights are rights Canadians hold because they belong to one of several groups in society.
They are rights held by groups (peoples) in Canadian society that are recognized and protected by
Canada s constitution. Those groups include Aboriginals, Francophones and Anglophones.
* Collective rights are different than individual rights. Every Canadian citizen and permanent resident
has individual rights under the Charter of Rights and Freedoms, such as the right to live anywhere in
Canada.
* Collective rights set Canada apart from other nations. For example, no groups (peoples) in the ...

Policies can be called a set of rules that guide any government or any organization. Laws are
administered through the courts. Laws are enforceable in which the policies comply.
A law is more formal as it is a system of rules and guidelines that are derived for the welfare and
equity in society. A policy is just informal as it is just a statement or a document of what is intended to
be done in the future.
Why do some groups have collective rights and not others? * Collective rights recognize the founding
peoples of Canada. Canada would not exist today without the contribution of these peoples.
* Collective rights come from the roots of Aboriginal peoples, Francophones and Anglophones in the
land and history of Canada.
* Certain groups have collective rights due to historical and constitutional reasons.
Why are collective rights important to all Canadians?
* Collective rights are important to all Canadians because each group in Canadian society is different
in its own unique way; having collective rights is a lot like having an outfit completely custom made
to fit your type of person and style; collective rights are manufactured to uphold each groups
individual culture, style, and to meet every groups needs according to the groups unique structure.
How do collective rights, in the past and today, define who we are as Canadians? * In the past, women
and First Nations Peoples had been deprived of rights and privileges

Islamic Marriage Customs Vary, Depending On Country Of...
Islamic marriage customs vary, depending on country of origin and government regulations, Muslim
men and women around the world are guided by Islamic laws and practices specified in the Quran.
According to the teachings of the Quran, a married Muslim couple is associated with clothing. Within
this context, both husband and wife are each other s protector and comforter, just as real garments
show and conceal the body of human beings. Thus, they are meant for one another A legal contract In
Islam, a person should be properly married, and this should include both the religious ceremony and
the legal requirements of the law of the land. However, Muslims who marry without legal registration
in the United Kingdom are putting their womenfolk at some risk, and their children are not legitimate
in the eyes of the UK law and no Muslim should wish to put his wife and children in this difficult
position. In Islam, marriages are not considered to be made in heaven between soul mates destined for
each other; they are not sacraments. They are social contracts which bring rights and obligations to
both parties, and can only be successful when these are mutually respected and cherished. Polygyny

The Ethics Of The Accounting Profession
Ethics in all forms is concerned with the good and bad, right and wrong in a situation. (Duska) In life
you will be placed in a situation where you have to make a choice. These situations are not always
black and white, in other words they do not have a clear answer. You will not know what your reaction
would be in any given situation until you are there and have to make the decision. This is present in
both our personal and professional lives. However, if you always follow the guidelines set by God and
treat all as you wish to be treated then more than likely you will make a fair and impartial decision
when necessary. The accounting profession is based on the honesty, integrity, and word of those in this
profession. That is truly who they are in the eyes of the public and with this comes great responsibility
to all those involved. We will be evaluating two ethical systems in this paper and deciding which
would be the most appropriate for the accounting profession. The first ethical view that we will
discuss is Deontology. Deontology came from the writings of Immanuel Kant, a German philosopher.
Deontology is defined as a view that is based on what is fair over the consequences of the actions.
Deontologists believe that there are ethical guidelines that are universally applicable to all people. The
actions should be ethical even if the consequences are not favorable and should be based on rational
thought. This view is follows a line of professional

There are a number of different reasons for urinary tract obstruction. This can include pregnancy,
cancer, fungus balls, ureterocele, ureteral strictures, tuberculosis and neurogenic bladder. (Chris, n.d.).
There are a number of symptoms that should raise concern for pyonephrosis. This can include: flank
pain, fever, nausea and vomiting, little or no urine and a weak and narrow urine stream. The symptoms
of peritonitis, abdominal pain, tenderness, abdominal distension, diarrhea or constipation with the
inability to pass gas may also be present.
Sepsis is common in severe untreated cases, especially in immunocompromised patients. Apart from
the other symptoms mentioned above, there may also be rapid heart rate and a rapid breathing rate in
sepsis. When the mental status is altered and the blood pressure is very low, severe sepsis or septic
shock has arisen and death is a very likely consequence (Chris, n.d.).
Blood and urine tests are the main investigations to diagnose pyonephrosis along with the clinical
presentation and the patient s medical history. When urine cannot be collected due to the obstruction, a
sample has to be removed from the collecting system of the kidney.
Blood tests can include a complete blood count (CBC), blood urea nitrogen (BUN) and creatinine and
a blood culture. Urine tests include a urinalysis and a urine culture. All of these tests help to determine
pyonephrosis (Chris, n.d.). Sonographic findings suggestive of pyonephrosis include

Analysis Of Blue-Collar Billiance By Mike Rose
One might argue that without formal education a person has low intelligence. Some people might say
that blue collar work is for the uneducated or for the lower class society. Both of these opinions are
challenged in Mike Rose`s writing Blue Collar Brilliance. Rose uses multiple rhetorical methods
within is reading to prove that blue collar work is not for unintelligent workers. Rose reflects on his
childhood and early adult hood with many references. Rose also uses many different tones throughout
the duration of Blue Collar Brilliance. Rose uses strong evidence to clearly show his opinion of blue
collar work.
Rose uses References through out the reading to prove his claim of blue collar brilliance. He explains
multiple situations he has been through growing up in a blue collar family. Rose writes about his
memories of watching his mother work as a waitress in a restaurant. He explains the skills and work
ethic he watched his mother learn over the years. Rose states, A waitress acquires knowledge and
intuition about the ways and the rhythms of the restaurant business. Waiting on seven to nine tables,
each with two to six customers, Rosie devised memory strategies so that she could remember who
ordered what (274). The uncle of Rose is also used as a reference in Blue Collar Brilliance. Rose
recalls his Uncle Joe explaining that working in the factory could teach him what school could not.

The Road Not Taken Rhyme Scheme
In the poem, there is a traveler who has to make a choice of what road to take. One which is grassy
and wanted wear and the other who is mainly taken by the travelers. The choice the traveler has to
make can relate to an everyday problem to anybody.
In the first stanza it ,states that the author(traveler) has to make a choice on what road to take. The
poem states both the roads diverged into a yellow wood. He also states he is sorry for I couldn t travel
both. He said he looked down as far as I could, until it bent in the undergrowth. The choices he has to
make relates to everyday choices. An example of how it relates to an everyday thing is, someone in
life has to choose the right group of people to hang out with, and whether to study or not. Choices are
a big part of life everyone has to make choices, sometimes the best choice is not the best.
In the second stanza, it talks about the traveler taking the path that wasn t taken as often as the first
trial. And having perhaps the better claim. I feel like that means like it was a better trial because it had
more obstacles, and more challenges to overcome. He also states because it was grassy and wanted
wear. To me that sounds sorta like the trial wants more people to take that trial. The choices this

him and it had the best outcome. That relates to everyday life because, people have to make a choice
and at the end of the day it might not be the best choice for that person. Then some choices at the end

The Dangerous Myth Of Grade Inflation
In The Dangerous Myth of Grade Inflation, Alfie Kohn sets out to determine if grade inflation is
indeed fact or fiction. The opening quotes provided by two professors at Harvard University separated
by over century has most definitely peaked my interest. It had me questioning whether or not these
professors are holding our education system to a Harvard standard or is their actually truth to their
statements; that feigned students are indeed submitting sham work (Bergmann, 260). Kohn goes onto
indicate that: To say that grades are not merely rising but inflated and that they are consequently less
accurate now, as the American Academy s report puts it is to postulate the existence of an objectively
correct evaluation of what a student (or essay) deserves (Bergmann, 263). To theorize grade inflation
is to question the judgment and teaching of all the previous and future educators of America. It also
raises the question of why has not there any concert data to support this claim. Why is our educational
system delaying this investigation since this concern has been around for years? Especially, now that
grade inflation is starting to gain more momentum.
In the beginning, Kohn starts his investigation by implementing the standard guidelines for the
collection of supportive data that will assist academic conservatives who argue that higher grades are
undeserved. This action has allowed sides to part ways, and allows lines to drawn in the sand.

architecture. After graduation, he was initially employed by his father s construction company before
collaborating with Louis Kahn in the United States and Z.S. Makowsky in the United Kingdom.

This building was designed to house some of the worlds most exquisite modern art, so naturally the
design had to be modern. It is constructed mostly of high tech steel and glass, with a beautifully
designed exoskeleton adding to its complexion (Renzo Piano Building Workshop Official Site). Renzo
Piano has designed and brought to life so many structures all over the world. Some of his most famous
include Kansai, the world s largest air terminal in Osaka Bay, Japan, where Piano proved himself a
master of the gigantic project and again with the imposing Bercy Shopping Center in Paris, as well as
a massive and beautiful National Science Museum in Amsterdam. His soccer stadium in Bari, Italy is
like no other in the world, with its great swaths of blue sky interrupting the usual monotony of stadium
seating. His versatility is displayed further in such projects as the beautiful sweep of a nearly one
thousand foot long bridge that curves across Ushibuka Bay in Southern Japan, with the design of a
70,000 ton luxury ocean liner (Great Buildings On line). In 1998 Piano was selected as the Laureate of

Living in Jacksonville, NC versus Living in San Diego, Ca
Compare and Contrast Final Draft
Samantha Deal As a military brat, I was born and raised in Jacksonville, North Carolina; and have
lived here for most of my life. Recently our family was stationed in San Diego, California, and the
move was a great eye opener for me. When I moved to San Diego, I was surprised by the diversity of
cultures, the abundance of activities, and how the crowds of people never stopped. It is an excellent
place for people who enjoy being amongst other people; there is never a lack of entertainment day or
night. Jacksonville, North Carolina on the other hand, is more for people who like a relaxed and quiet
family oriented lifestyle. The city of Jacksonville, and Camp Lejeune Marine Corps base are home to
170,000 Marines, Sailors, retirees, and civilians. There are plenty of things to do in Jacksonville, the
only problem is you have to look for them. For example, on the Jacksonville website, there are
seafood festivals to attend, crab boils, and beach events among other things. We have deep sea fishing
for blue marlin with a top prize of $1,000,000 which attracts people from all over the country. People
can join the Clean and Green Jacksonville initiative which entails improving, and maintaining the
parks, roadways, and landscapes. Also, the Sturgeon City Institute is focused on bringing back the
endangered Sturgeon to the New River. In addition, Rails and Trails, it is a jogging and biking path
that starts downtown and ends at Camp Lejeune; and

Rodrigo Duterte And Martin Luther King
Have you ever compared about two people that not related to each other, but rather they are connected
because of their capability or skills that they have in common? Rodrigo Duterte is a president in the
Philippines that the whole world knows about his controversial statements. He served as a mayor of
Davao City and reelected six times. Many people doubt his capability of being a president for the
reason that he is poor, not an excellent speaker because occasionally he uses profanity words on his
statements or interviews and he is not well known. Martin Luther King, Jr is a well known for fighting
freedom for the black community. He is a leader of the Civil Rights Movement. King was arrested,
people bombed his house and people smear on him. But he advocates nonviolence to the black people.
The three characteristics that they have in common between Rodrigo Duterte and Martin Luther King,
Jr are empathetic, building a community and commitment.
The first characteristic that would be the most in common that they both have is empathetic. Rodrigo
Duterte came from a poor family. That s why he likes to help people, especially the poor people. In the
Philippines, there is a mass of poverty going on. Duterte always put his place in the position of poor
people considering he knows how does it feel like nothing. That s why a lot of people love him and
voted him as a president of the Philippines since he knows exactly how to communicate with poor
people. He hates drugs and corruption

Initial Appearance Vs Arraignment Hearing
How does the initial appearance differ from arraignment, preliminary hearings, and grand jury review?
An initial appearance is the first contact with the judge that a person has after committing a crime
where they are quickly reviewed on the charges being made against them, their bail options,
constitutional rights among other court information. During the initial appearance, the judge provides
the defendant with a criminal complaint copy. In the copy, the charge or charges are listed with the
maximum probable penalty in case of conviction. It is also at the initial appearance that the judge
makes the first likely cause determination. In other words, the judge scrutinizes the complaint to gauge
whether if the claims made by the State surely confirm if the defendant committed the offenses that he
is charged for. The judge also enlightens the defendant of his /her right to counsel, especially if he/she
is not represented y an attorney. When a defendant is in charge with felonies, then the judge enlightens
him/her preliminary hearing right (Lorch, 2010). ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
During an arraignment, a criminal defendant is taken to a lower court where he faces a judge. Similar
to initial appearance, the defendant gets to hear of the charges leveled against him as well as the
possible criminal sentences for his offenses. The criminal defendant is also told his rights including his
right to a fair trial. The criminal defendant can choose a trial by jury or a bench trial whereby the
judge gets to determine the verdict. The criminal defendant also gets a right to have an attorney whose
main duty is to defend him. In case the defendant cannot afford an attorney, then he is allowed to
request for a public defender. Generally arraignment and initial appearance are the same

Informative Essay On Screen Time
Screen time
Did you know that the average teenager spends nine hours a day on their devices, and kids from ages
8 to 12 spend 6 hours a day staring at a screen. That is way too much time spent on cell phones,
computers, etc. A recent study by the Researchers at the University of Gothenburg found that a person
who is constantly on their computer or mobile device can develop stress, sleeping disorders, and
depression, staring at a screen for too long can stain your eyes.If that is not enough you can get carpel
tunnel syndrome which affects your hands, and you can also develop epilepsy, also called seizure
disorder. This is why I believe that screen time should be limited to the recommended 2 hours or less.
As I mentioned earlier you can develop epilepsy (seizure disorder) from spending to much time
staring at a screen. If you didn t already know epilepsy is a disease in which sudden repetitive
episodes of sensory disturbance(disorders of special sense), loss of consciousness, or seizures(a
sudden, violent movement, due to contraction of muscles in the body, this is caused by having no
control over conscious), corresponding with unusual electrical brain activity. As of today 2.5 to 3
million people have Epilepsy just in the U.S, and more than 200,000 people develop Epilepsy per
year. Epilepsy is a serious disease that no one should get because they were spending too much time
on the internet. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

American History X Essay examples
American History X
American History X is clearly a film dealing with the social topic of racism. The interesting thing
about this film is the way in which the subject is presented. First of all, it is obvious that, though
racism is always a difficult subject to deal with, American History X presents it without any
reservations or dummying down. Second, the film s figurehead for racism, Derek Vinyard (Edward
Norton), is not an unintelligent redneck racist as films often portray them, but is in fact well spoken,
charismatic and bright, although he clearly holds ideals that are terribly wrong. Finally, the film shows
that it is not only the white, neo nazi racists who are fools for being involved in this, but all those who
hold hatred in ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
For example, the young, black men were disgraced by the white male in a local game of basketball;
therefore, the black men go to do damage to the white males car, which in turn, leads to the white
male killing the young black men. It s a vicious circle with no end in sight.
The film also did a very good job in the way they tie racial issues in with the portrayal of Derek s
character as a strong and bold leader. The things that make Derek such a powerful and frightening
character is not the fact that he is racist, it is the fact that instead of choosing a somewhat regular,
backwoods, unintelligent racist as the films central character, Derek is well spoken and bright. It is
these qualities that allow him to recruit the youths of Venice Beach and form, with the help of his
mentor Cameron Alexander, the entire white supremacist culture permeating the area. Instead of just
telling them to hate black, Hispanic, and Asian people because they are of that race, he makes
speeches, telling them charismatically and passionately how these people are stealing their jobs,
causing Americans to suffer a poor standard of living. He tells them America needs to take care of
Americans before dealing with immigrants. And his speeches clearly incite this hatred in the young
people of that area and flare up their tempers, causing behavior, such as we see in the movie when
they destroy a grocery store because it was bought by a Korean immigrant who employs, 40 fuckin

The Pope, Jordan, and Religious Tourism
Case One: The Pope, Jordan, and Religious Tourism pg. 39 For JTB the best target market would be
pilgrims from foreign countries, where there would be large amount of Christian pilgrims interested in
coming to Jordan to see Jordan River where Jesus was baptized. Targeting Christians in Jordan would
be not as effective as in Rome, because in Jordan there are only 4% residents with Christian religion.
In my opinion Nayef Fayez should have a wider view on world and target people places where people
would be most interested, instead of spending marketing budget in near demographic regions. For
example if they would target European Countries and America s where there are a lot of Christians
they would have much more success, as well as ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Blond hair has nothing to do with a religion and interest in religion. Nitches have to be defined that
would bring benefit from both company and customer, and filled accordingly. Promotion, Place,
Product, Price can be figured out only if market is correctly segmented and enough research is done.
For example if we take as an example Christians, from Rome, age of 60+ with income of 2000 Euro s
as money they can spend per month for leisure activities, we would have to find out which way is best
way to communicate with the potential costumer, and importantly how? Internet is accessed not by
everyone in this age group, they prefer to socialize and receive information by phone or from other
people. By phone it can be not realistic, and easy to end conversation for potential customer, as well as
in some countries marketing by phone is illegal. Who are their opinion leaders? Most likely they look
up and have good relationships with priests in the nearby churches where they go, there handouts can
be distributed or information spread directly from priests. That would give us Place and a way to
promote our product to this particular segment. Product itself would have to be a description where
they can stay, what services are available, would they enjoy an early morning walk to the secret place
or a ride on a car? This

King Lear Comparison Essay
Originally written at the start of the 17th century, William Shakespeare s play, King Lear, has become
one of his most famed works. The tragedy was first adapted for the screen in 1909 as a black and
white, silent film. Almost a century later in 2008, King Lear was once more brought to life through
director Trevor Nunn s film adaptation of the same name. Staring Ian McKellen as King Lear, the film
adaptation is based on the 2007 production of the play by the renowned Royal Shakespeare Company.
King Lear is a story of betrayal, loss and madness and to accurately convey this while simultaneously
distinguishing it from other screen renditions, Nunn alters the setting and utilises the colours of the
costumes and backdrop to symbolise the virtues ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Characters with titles that derive from English place names, such as the Duke of Cornwall, indicate
that the film takes place in England. Also, many scenes occur on heaths which can be commonly
found throughout England but rarely in Russia. However, the costumes worn by male characters,
especially Lear s scarlet tunic, closely resemble those worn by the Tsar and his high ranking officials.
Additionally, Lear s 100 knights have also been transformed into 100 singing, squat dancing Cossacks
which further reinforces the films connection to Imperial Russia as Cossacks are an ethnic group
known for their historic loyalty to the Tsar. The inclusion of rifles as well as glasses suggests that King
Lear is set in the 1800 s which coincides with both Victorian England and Imperial Russia. Although
using elements from two eras may confuse some viewers, historical and geographical references are
negligible to most audience members, allowing them to generate their own opinion about the setting.
At the same time, the setting makes Nunn s production unique. Since 1909, King Lear has been
adapted for the screen on numerous occasions with the majority of these adaptations retaining the
original setting of pre Christian England. By drastically changing the setting, it distinguishes Nunn s
King Lear from other

Cultural Diversity At Washington Elementary School
For my 5th EDUC Lab, I had to go to a local elementary school and take a walk around its
neighborhood. I was told to observe cultural diversity, types of homes surrounding the school, and
answer a variety of questions regarding the kinds of students that attend the school. I was originally a
bit baffled by the kinds of questions on the sheet like are there any apartment buildings near by? or
where do the children get food? I thought to myself Why do these things matter to a school? And then
as I was going through my walk, I realized that these factors determine the kids of resources the
children have to receive a quality education, and these factors also influence the kinds of resources the
school has to give the children. I never knew such minute details could have such a heavy impact on
education.
I decided to visit Washington Elementary School in Pocatello. I chose to tour this school s
neighborhood because it was close to my own home, and I have no relations with this elementary
school whatsoever. This school was set directly in the middle of a neighborhood, so I believe the
majority of students that attend this elementary school, also live in the neighborhood. The houses
varied from being very nice and well kept homes to a little more run down, but the majority of the
neighborhood looked like a typical middle class neighborhood. There were a few apartment
complexes within the neighborhood and there were a lot of for rent signs outside of houses. There

Machiavellian Leadership In Macbeth
Manipulative, courageous, harsh and wise are some of the many individualities a true Machiavellian
holds. Throughout time, true Machiavellian leaders have significantly impacted not only the political
world but the way people have come to live and reason. William Shakespeare s protagonist, Macbeth,
does not exhibit the leadership strategies outlined in Machiavelli s The Prince. After analyzing both
novels Macbeth had shown himself to be an incompetent leader, who could never be labeled a
Machiavellian. To understand a true Machiavellian leader you must compare and contrast a failed
leader to a leader who has thrived, succeeded and in the end could be regarded as a Machiavellian.

breaks free no one is going to trust anyone. Macbeth is aware of his people beginning to question his

Forms of Business Organisation
1. Sole trader businesses are the easiest to set up because there is no complex paperwork. The business
and the owner are the same person in law. The sole trader does not have limited liability which means
that they are responsible for all the debts of the business. The sole trader has to produce an annual
accounting return for the Inland Revenue.
2. Partnerships are set up by a Deed of Partnership which is a document made out by the partners and
witnessed by a solicitor. This Deed sets out the legal relationship between partners e.g. how profits
will be shared out, responsibilities of partners etc. In traditional partnerships the partners had
unlimited liability i.e. they were jointly responsible for the debts of their partnership. In ... Show more

These departments will provide back up support and training.
Organisations are structured in different ways:
1. By function as described above
2. By regional area a geographical structure e.g. with a marketing manager North, marketing manager
South etc
3. By product e.g. marketing manager crisps, marketing manager drinks, etc
4. Into work teams, etc.
Reporting in organisations often takes place down the line. An employee might be accountable to a
supervisor, who is accountable to a junior manager, who is then accountable to a senior manager
communication and instructions can then be passed down the line.
Formal organisation
An organisation chart outlines the formal chain of command and communications within an
organisation. This is the official structure that is backed up by rules and procedures. You must
remember however, that what you see on paper is often very different from the way that things work
in the real world. An individual with a strong personality can play an important part in the running of
an organisation, although he or she may appear near to the bottom of the chart.
In the formal organisational structure there will be patterns of communication and procedures for
decision making. Some organisations will have tall structures with lots of layers of command. Other
organisations are relatively flat.

How and to what purpose does Virgil use ekphrasis in the Aeneid?
Virgil s use of ekphrasis in the Aeneid has attracted much attention by classical scholars; as such the
coverage on this topic is extensive. This essay therefore does not aim to purport all of Virgil s
techniques and aims in regard to describing art in the Aeneid a subject on which entire books have
been written rather the brevity of this essay necessitates an overview of the predominant theories,
whilst attempting to shed light on some of the less well noted observances. Where it is more
informative the original Latin text will be employed. West s translation will be used everywhere else.1

The to and fro nature of the tides of war episodes look forward to the battles that swing back and forth
in favour of the opposing armies.24 The slaughter by Diomedes of Rhesus and his men, adopted from
Iliad 10, foreshadows the night raid of Nisus and Eurylaus in Book 9. The description also relates to
the later narrative through repetitious diction. For instance cruentus here describes Diomedes;25 later
when Nisus, like the Iliadic Diomedes is described as a lion,26 he has an ore cruento .27 The essence
of the tragic downfall in Book 9 is caused by Euryalus greed. This is described as prodidit ,28 the
same language used to describe the sleep that was prodita to Rhesus and his men.29 In this way Virgil
foreshadows events in the Italian war, not just through subject but also verbal double meaning.

Why People Wear Seatbelts
Deciding what to compose my essay of was no easy task. As a sixteen year old girl, many things today
anger or irritate me. I have a different outlook on life than most people, therefore, things that might
not bother the average teen girl infuriate me. After reflecting on the subject for a long time, I finally
came to the conclusion that nothing bothers me more than when people don t wear seat belts whenever
they operate or ride in a vehicle. Maybe it s perhaps because I have seen many wonderful people pass
away simply because they couldn t click their seat belt or maybe it s because wearing a seat belt is
logical, but some people still don t seem to understand. In today s modern world, there are a lot of
inventions that help make our life easier and safer. However, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

Something that irritates me is when people, who obviously know right from wrong, don t use their
seatbelts. There s a reason why not wearing a seatbelt is illegal and enforced in most states. The
leading cause of death among is teens is vehicle accidents. In 2012 it was reported that in half of the
deaths, the person was no not wearing any type or restraint or seatbelt. Meaning 33,000 people died
and another 2.2 million were injured. This has a consequence and as a teenager myself, it makes me
sad to think that kids, just like me, had their life cut short. Many of them could ve went to college,
pursue a career, become the world s future doctors, businessmen, and leaders. Most people don t know

  • 2. Return Hunter-Gather Societies Immediate return hunter gatherers is a way that used to describe the subsistence pattern of a hunter gather society and how that subsistence pattern is echoed through all aspects of their society. In these societies there is no such thing as food shelf life. Food this is gathered or hunted is used relatively quickly without a lot of food storage. In order to maintain the food sources it is necessary to not over consume on source over another. In order to do that it involves a highly mobile society that follows the food. These societies are egalitarian because they are all only trying to survive. They have no individual territorial claims but the society itself needs a larger area in order to survive because of they way they subsist. Finally, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... They are not hung up on material possessions like cultures such as ours (Sahlins 1972). This affluent society is characterized by a number of things. They have are one of these immediate return hunter gathers. Using knowledge of local plants and animals they have an abundance of food in a place that seems to be a food dessert. Not only that but they have a very notorious food source that gives them everything they need to survive and be healthy while at it. Since they have such a varied diet they are free of many health issues that come with a reliance on a few food sources. The transition to agriculture in societies is usually characterized by things such as dental carries, liner enamel hypoplasia which is caused by stress, and a general decrease in the strength of bones because of a loss of ceartin nutrients. This not present in this original affluent society because of their diet. This was alluded to before but materialism and material culture is not emphasized by the Ju hoansi. Since they are such a mobile society everything they have has to be carried with them so having a lot of possessions would be counter to their entire way of life. Also since the Ju hoansi are egalitarian if they don t have something they can borrow it making completely pointless to have something if someone else has it. Lastly the Ju hoansi have a lot of free time. Since their work is gathering the necessary food for the day and they have such a masterful knowledge of the environment it does not take them a lot of time to obtain everything they need in order r to be sustained. So compared to our society we go to work to pay for all the things we have like a house, car, loans, and food while all the Ju hoansi need to do is to obtain their food. All of the previous stated characteristics is what makes up Sahlins ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 3. Giovanni Battista Tiepolo s The Immaculate Conception Dear John, How are you doing, work and your family? I hope very thing is going pretty good. It is my pleasure to use this opportunity to write to you and inform you on my experience about my travel trip to Madrid Spain during the Easter holidays. Actually it was a great experience of a life time, I visited so many places but the most important and interesting that I want to share with you is my visit to the MUSEO NACIONAL DEL PRADO museum in Madrid, which I get to see The Immaculate Conception artwork. It was created by a roman artist Tiepolo, Giambattista during 1769 1769 in Rome Italy. Which shows the Virgin Mary appears on the globe of the World and the crescent Moon, stepping on the serpent of Original Sin and crowned by the Dove of the Holy Ghost. She is surrounded by angels and by some of her customary symbols, including a spray of lilies, a palm branch, a fountain and a mirror. The artist uses this scene to show the traditional manner of representing the Virgin s Immaculate Conception, which occurred without Original Sin. Although it was expensive but I really learn a lot and had a good time, the air ticket to Madrid Spain was $1499, and I spent $1600 other expenses like local transport, food, gift and hotel, which cost 658 EUR, that $ 912 for 2 night at $456 per night. A number of countries are considered to be under the patronage of the Immaculate Conception by pontifical decree. These include Argentina, Brazil, Ireland, Korea, Nicaragua, Nigeria, ... Since the store accept credit card sales in the store and over the web via e Commerce transactions, the store needs to protect credit card information. The internal network is more secure because of the DMZ, which has at least two firewalls in between the internet and the internal network. According to Easttom (2006), the DMZ is a demilitarized zone in which gives an additional layer of protection between the internet services and the backend of the corporation resources, (Easttom, 2006). An attacker may get into the DMZ, could cause problems with the web server and by then should be detected, disconnected, or trap the attacker in the DMZ to prevent the attacker from getting into the internal network. The email server is used for email communication with business partners and customers, a man in the middle attack could intercept emails and forward the emails to their destination while copying the message to the attacker. • 5. Free-Will Vs Predestination In order to answer the question, How do we reconcile our free will with the sovereignty and determination of God? successfully, we must first define the terms free will and predestination. In reference to the subject of salvation, free will means man s ability to choose the way to salvation or not. Basically, it is man s ability to choose God without God s help. On the other hand, predestination refers to the fact that God has chosen before the foundation of the world those whom He wishes to save and those whom He wishes to condemn. In other words, man is chosen to be saved by God, not for anything that he does, but simply because the Lord has chosen him for His good pleasure. Although it may seem simple at first, this question of free will versus predestination is really not that easy to unravel. First, free will must be further defined in the context of pre Fall, unregenerate, regenerate, and glorified man. Before the Fall, Adam and Eve were perfect image bearers of God. They had the ability to choose to sin and the ability to choose not to sin. In Latin, this state is best known as posse peccare, posse non peccare. After the Fall, the man was in an unregenerate state with the ability to sin but through the Fall he had lost the ability not to ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The answer is simple he cannot choose to go against his nature. If the man is unregenerate, he cannot choose not to sin. In order for him ever to come into cooperation with God, then, he must be made alive through regeneration, which is solely the work of the Holy Spirit. Jesus Christ Himself declared, No one can come to Me unless the Father who sent Me draws him; and I will raise him up at the last day (John 6:44). In John 8:36, Christ declares that if the son sets you free, then you are free indeed. Nevertheless, Scripture never mentions man freeing or saving himself of his own free ... • 6. Strict Laws In The Chrysalids In the novel The Chrysalids by John Wyndham, the readers are introduced to traditions and strict social agreements in Waknuk which lead to unfortunate destructions of their people. The Waknukians only accept those who resemble God s image, which is a human without deformities unlike Sophie, who has six toes; the blind acceptance of traditions leads to the ruination of the Waknuk society of The Chrysalids. Due to strict laws, everyone is intensely devout in their religious beliefs and follows exactly what is expected, however these strict laws cause more hatred, pain and prejudice. Moreover, blindly accepting traditions leads to human destruction of freedom, self expression and ultimately growth. Furthermore, human conquest and mental control ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Stripping the ability to have children is strong example of dehumanizing people with deformities, for giving them unfair rights. Furthermore, along with many, people who are deviations are jealous of the lives of those who normal since they can marry and have children. Spider man is jealous that norms can have children and not the Fringe people, when he was young, David prayed that he becomes a norm and lose his special abilities. As well as Anne, she is jealous that norms have the opportunity to lead normal lives by marrying and having children. Spider man gets vengeful and kills his own brother out of jealousy. This manifests that fringes people are not satisfied with their lives and the rules for deviations are not fair since they want to have a family, although rules are rules. The fringes should not be living a life of jealousy, they should have the freedom to do what they want. Moreover, people in the fringes really want to have children, but they can not so they try to get with norms in order to produce, evidently deviations are stripped the ability to have children. On the other hand, when Sophie talks to David in the Fringes she says that she loves Gordon and would have children with him if she could. Gordon is in a relationship with Sophie but wants children with Rosalind since she is able to reproduce. This proves that people have little respect for deviations, and Sophie is heartbroken by the fact Gordon wants Rosalind and resents Sophie for what she has been doomed to ... • 7. Fundamentalist-Modernist Controversy Research Paper THE INTERCONNECTION OF BIBLE INERRANCY WITH BAPTIST REVIVAL Introduction When Baptists are called Bible lovers, it not only means that they keep biblical principles, but it also indicates that they believe what the Bible says. Although most denominations have given up their position for the authority of the Bible, Baptists in America remain the largest and most organized conservative group for supporting Bible inerrancy. However, the debates over Biblical inerrancy have threatened even the Bible lovers with an unceasing controversy in Baptist history. The issue of Bible inerrancy has caused many frictions and wounds among denominations as well as Baptist. As concerned as this ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Princeton held outstanding conservative scholars such as A. A. Hodge and Benjamin Warfield; they defended Bible inerrancy against the liberals and their high criticism toward the inspiration of the whole Scripture. At first, the conservatives came to the conclusion, in a theological apology of Princeton theologians, that nothing justified the ascription of error to any part of Scripture. Soon, however, Princeton finally gave way to a modified and moderate view on the inerrancy of the Bible. Eventually, the conservative theology of other denominations collapsed, and the Presbyterian denomination separated due to the deviation from Bible inerrancy. Some became isolated and formed their own sector by defending Bible inerrancy with the an advent of dispensational movement. • 8. Solubility Lab Report Solubility, which influences gases in solution, is dependent on temperature. When using water, increasing the temperature decreases the solubility of gases. This is because whenever the temperature of a gas increases, the kinetic energy of that gas increases as well. This causes intermolecular bonds to break and allows the gas molecules to escape the liquid. The decreased temperature of the liquid causes it to be more oxygen rich. Liquid breathing is when an organism breathes an oxygen liquid as opposed to air, this liquid is usually from the perfluorocarbon family. These types of fluorine compound can contain other elements such as hydrogen, chlorine, or bromine. A common property of these liquids is high solubility for respiratory gases. As they go deeper into the water the pressure increases forcing the nitrogen molecules closer together, making room for more to be absorbed. When a diver is ready to return to the surface they must do so carefully. In their ascension, pressure lessens and the nitrogen will expand. As the diver s body cannot hold as much nitrogen on the surface as it could in the water they must come up slowly to release the nitrogen. It will go from the body tissues, to the blood, and then be exhaled. If a diver ascends too rapidly, the nitrogen will form bubbles in the blood, travel through arteries, and prohibit blood flow to body parts. This can cause tissue damage, or worse, and is known as decompression sickness. Even if a diver does avoid this, some excess nitrogen will still remain in his body for hours or days after the dive. For this reason, heavy exercise and flying is not recommended after a dive because it will cause the nitrogen to be released to quickly, thus resulting in decompression ... Four years after his midnight ride, Paul Revere served as commander of land artillery in the catastrophic Penobscot Expedition of 1779. Paul Revere is usually most remembered for his horsemanship. He is also known for his contributions from his hammer and chisel. His ability to appeal to the colonial people through works of his copper engravings demonstrated the power of propaganda. After the War, Revere increased his business to open an iron foundry at the North End of Boston making utilitarian cast iron products that were useful and widely purchased by the local people. He also opened a copper mill which made bells for churches and rolled copper for the hulls of wooden ships. All of this demonstrated that Paul Revere was a man of great talents, and was therefore indispensable to Boston s fame in resisting the authority of the British Parliament and King George III. • 10. Effects Of Alcohol Abuse On Children Alcohol abuse and alcoholism can affect all aspects of a person s life. Even though it is legal for anybody at least age twenty one and over, alcohol is commonly abused among adults. When people think about alcohol abuse, they usually only focus on the one person who is drinking in excess, but what if that person has a family or is a parent? How does alcoholism affect their children or loved ones? The majority of people would suggest that binge drinking only mainly affects the one person doing it, they do not realize that it affects their children and families as a whole. That can create an even more toxic environment for the child, which could lead to many problems for him or her in the immediate future. The Society for the Study of Addiction also states that children who experience child abuse and neglect repetitively have been shown to experience poorer behavioral, educational and mental health outcomes . That very hazardous environment is what children of alcoholic parents are exposed to on a daily basis, breaking them down physically, socially, and emotionally. Alcohol abuse with adults can have an even deeper effect on one s family and children that might not be apparent at first. Debra Wood states that alcoholism with one adult can increase the chance of the rest of his or her s family some day becoming an alcoholic. Wood also states that genetics, social pressure, and problem behaviors learned from family or friends can lead to somebody going down the path of alcohol abuse. Even though this seems like a fairly lopsided debate, there are multiple factors that lead one to believe that getting over alcoholism can be a pretty easy fix. Islamic marriage customs vary, depending on country of origin and government regulations, Muslim men and women around the world are guided by Islamic laws and practices specified in the Quran. Thus, they are meant for one another A legal contract In Islam, a person should be properly married, and this should include both the religious ceremony and the legal requirements of the law of the land. However, Muslims who marry without legal registration in the United Kingdom are putting their womenfolk at some risk, and their children are not legitimate in the eyes of the UK law and no Muslim should wish to put his wife and children in this difficult position. • 15. The Ethics Of The Accounting Profession Ethics in all forms is concerned with the good and bad, right and wrong in a situation. (Duska) In life you will be placed in a situation where you have to make a choice. These situations are not always black and white, in other words they do not have a clear answer. You will not know what your reaction would be in any given situation until you are there and have to make the decision. This is present in both our personal and professional lives. However, if you always follow the guidelines set by God and treat all as you wish to be treated then more than likely you will make a fair and impartial decision when necessary. The accounting profession is based on the honesty, integrity, and word of those in this profession. That is truly who they are in the eyes of the public and with this comes great responsibility to all those involved. We will be evaluating two ethical systems in this paper and deciding which would be the most appropriate for the accounting profession. The first ethical view that we will discuss is Deontology. Deontology came from the writings of Immanuel Kant, a German philosopher. Deontology is defined as a view that is based on what is fair over the consequences of the actions. Deontologists believe that there are ethical guidelines that are universally applicable to all people. The actions should be ethical even if the consequences are not favorable and should be based on rational thought. This view is follows a line of professional ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

This can include: flank pain, fever, nausea and vomiting, little or no urine and a weak and narrow urine stream. The symptoms of peritonitis, abdominal pain, tenderness, abdominal distension, diarrhea or constipation with the inability to pass gas may also be present. The opening quotes provided by two professors at Harvard University separated by over century has most definitely peaked my interest. It had me questioning whether or not these professors are holding our education system to a Harvard standard or is their actually truth to their statements; that feigned students are indeed submitting sham work (Bergmann, 260). Kohn goes onto indicate that: To say that grades are not merely rising but inflated and that they are consequently less accurate now, as the American Academy s report puts it is to postulate the existence of an objectively correct evaluation of what a student (or essay) deserves (Bergmann, 263). To theorize grade inflation is to question the judgment and teaching of all the previous and future educators of America. It also raises the question of why has not there any concert data to support this claim. Why is our educational system delaying this investigation since this concern has been around for years? Especially, now that grade inflation is starting to gain more momentum. In the beginning, Kohn starts his investigation by implementing the standard guidelines for the collection of supportive data that will assist academic conservatives who argue that higher grades are undeserved. Additionally, Lear s 100 knights have also been transformed into 100 singing, squat dancing Cossacks which further reinforces the films connection to Imperial Russia as Cossacks are an ethnic group known for their historic loyalty to the Tsar.
