Conversation Partner s Communication Analysis
Profile of your Conversation Partner s Communication
What are the features of your CP s communication? Consider how they express themselves (think
about verbal and non verbal means).
JR has mild, fluent, anomic aphasia. People with fluent aphasia have difficulties understanding spoken
and written language, but expression is mostly within normal limits (Robb, 2014). JR has difficulties
naming certain words, often nouns. For example, she was having trouble naming Riverstone , a
restaurant, so instead she said Dot s (the owner) place near the Waitaki River . She mainly
communicates verbally, but is not afraid to show us something using her body if she cannot express
what she would like using words. For example, she has an oddly shaped ball in her living room which
we asked about. She then demonstrated to us how she uses the ... Show more content on

Sometimes before our visit, JR and JM (the other CP in our group) work with fourth year Speech and
Language students. Some of this work involves reading from a book, and then they answer questions
about the book or review the plot and features of the novel. This seems to tire them out, as they do not
take much of a break before our visit (the break is normally only around five minutes, the time it takes
for them to pack up from their previous session). They are normally fine for the first 45 minutes and
show no signs of fatigue, but by the end of the hour it is always evident that they are tired and would
like to end the visit. On the sessions where they don t have the fourth years visit, or have not had
another session before us, their communication ability is consistent. When we had our reflection after
the first term, we decided that forty minute visits might be more productive. With a tighter structure of
visits, we could have better discussions and ensure all the time we used was useful. This also meant
that JR and JM will not as exhausted after our visits and have more positive

The South Beach And The Beach Diet
The South Beach diet The South Beach diet originated from Miami, Florida, by an American
cardiologist called Dr. Arthur Agatston. During the diet, the South Beach diet emphasizes the
consumption of high quality carbohydrates such as: whole grains and fruits and high quality fats such
as: low fat cheese and skim milk. In contrast, it eliminates dire carbohydrates such as potatoes and dire
fats such as: bacon, butter, and cream. This allows people the luxury of several high energy foods that
contain good carbohydrates and good fats, whilst eliminating cravings and keeping taste buds
satisfied. This diet has three phases. Phase 1 is designed to stabilize your blood sugar levels and
eliminate cravings for sugary foods and refined ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
If you find yourself getting off track or if cravings return, you can go back to Phase 1 or 2 to maintain
your goal weight. You ll continue to maintain your weight and healthy lifestyle for the rest of your life
(Agaston, n.d.). As a whole, the South Beach diet food selection is low in carbohydrates and low in
fat. It teaches dieters the right carbohydrates (whole grains and fruit) and right fats (extra virgin olive
oil, canola oil and avocados) to eat. By following this diet the person will begin to lose between 4 6
kilograms, within the first two (2) weeks (Phase one). The diet suggests starting off having three
balanced meals a day which can contain foods of normal serving size such as meat, chicken, turkey,
fish, vegetables, eggs, cheese and nuts. These listed foods are mainly protein and diary based, which
contain low sugars and salt. By initially eliminating all sugary carbohydrates like cereals, grains and
fruits, the body will lower blood sugar levels, and begin to burn excess fat instead, causing weight
loss. Analysis of the diet against its ability to meet the Australian Dietary Guidelines According to the
Department of Health and Ageing (2011) The Australian Dietary Guideline (ADG) 2: Enjoy a wide
variety of nutritious foods from the five groups every day , carbohydrates being one of the major food
groups. In Phase 1, the South Beach diet is initially strict as it cuts off

How Important Is Antitume A Turning Point In The War
There three themes that are explored in the film Why Is Antitume a Turning Point in the War? one of
the themes that is explained through the film is America in the World. Though, the category America
in the World covers seven topics; the one expanded on in this film is foreign policy and diplomacy. In
the summer of 1862, it was possible that there would be a foreign intervention in the Civil War.
Though, this never happened. Though in spite of this, later in the war the south assumed that England
was going to join the civil war on the side of the Confederates, due to the South strong trade
commodity, cotton. However, Robert E. Lee greatly misjudged England s dependence on the
Confederate commodities. Due to the abundance of cotton ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

How Technology Has Changed The Way People Communicate
When I used to come across with articles on technologies, it always used to draw my attention. In last
decade technology has significantly changed the way people communicate. As more businesses use
technology to communicate,. In today s competitive environment , every company s main criteria is to
know more about lean/six sigma and such methodology to help in attaining smoother operability and
optimum results for better customer satisfaction. IT was always a curiosity for me that how people are
connected with each other in the big world. How it is so easy to message a friend in an instant with
modern devices. My curiosity grew and my utter interest high scores in subjects like maths and
science made me take a decision on opting electronics and communication in my engineering. It is a
field rich with opportunities. Therefore, I decided after schools to study engineering. And learn the
basics of technology.
The curriculum included Digital Signal Processing, Integrated Circuit Application, Computer
Networks, Digital Communication, System Programming of theories in practice through lab work and
projects. Though technological proficiency and creative genius are the internal strengths of an
enterprise, another determinant of success in competition in an environment full of uncertainties is
possession of management skills. From the MS program in Engineering Management I look forward

Migratory Behavior
Migratory Behavior and Prey Specificity of Killer Whales
Abstract: Killer whales are cosmopolitan and considered to be a single species that is distributed
across the entire ocean. Though it has long been generally known that there are residential killer
whales which primarily feed on fish, transient killer whales which feed on mammals, and the lesser
encountered offshore killer whales, they actually have further diverse characteristics and are labeled as
types. Though there are features of appearances that differ between them, this paper will focus solely
on the movement and prey specificity of different types of killer whales. Type A killer whales mainly
feed on whales, Type B feed on seals, and Type C feed on fish. Type D killer whales ... Show more

After photo identification of the killer whales, a death and birth index was systematically made based
on their observed and expected numbers (Figure 1) (Ford, et al. 2010).
Type B and Type C killer whales in the Southern Ross Sea were satellite tracked via a projectile dart
fired from either an air gun or crossbow (Andrews, et al. 2008). Their movements were unique from
one another. While Type C showed limited movement, Type B traveled much longer distances
(Andrews, et al. 2008).
Type A killer whales are distinctive from Type B and Type C as it has a larger body size, no visible
dorsal fin, and a medium sized eye patch (Pitman and Ensor 2003). It has been observed and
photographed in the Crozet islands taking many types of prey such as southern elephant seals,
penguins, and fish, but it mainly specializes on the Antarctic Minke whale, covering vast distances as
it follows its prey. (Forney, 2006; Pitman, et al. 2011). This proves why Type A killer whales travel
much longer distances then its Type B and C

Extreme Sorrow In Romeo And Juliet
As Romeo thinks that he is successful, he makes a gratifying amount of horrible decisions, in which
are turned into life lessons. A tragedy is a story in which the main characters suffer from extreme
sorrow. Nevertheless, when Romeo makes one terrible move on his community and family, each
person would react differently like killing themselves. In the meantime, Romeo suffers through
extreme sorrow from tragic flaws, moral weaknesses, and has the inability to cope with unfavorable
circumstances. To begin with, Romeo has a tendency to become impatient when he is waiting for
someone or something. For instance, Benvolio, who is telling his speech says, And, as he fell, did
Romeo turn and fly (3.1.136). Since Romeo kills Tybalt in front of a couple of people, he cannot wait
for the serving men to come, so he ran away as rapid as he could. Also, Romeo says to Juliet, And
trust me love, in my eye so do you./Dry sorrow drinks our blood. Adieu, Adieu! (3.5.57 58). Romeo is
trying to secretly become impatient when he tries to leave the Juliet s bedroom, due to Lady Capulet
coming. As Romeo is getting impatient, he does not notice anything that he did wrong. ... Show more

Conflict In Sudan Research Paper
In conclusion, Sudan should use is power of Africa s largest country to create peaceful movements and
to provide multiculturalism. The principal cause of those conflicts are about money and power. If they

social system to help them.
Giving money and donation will not resolve genocides. Those people need to stand up and we have to

Finally, the power of globalization could change everything. With social networks that we have today,

Earthquake Intensities
Earthquake Intensities
Earthquakes are a marvel of geology. When faults under the surface of the earth move, the ground
moves. These earthquakes can be very mild, barely registering or they can be horrific with far
reaching consequences. Scientists have become fascinated with the study of earthquakes for centuries
but it is only in recent years that quantified data has been collected and analyzed by scientists
regarding these geologic phenomena. Before the invention of the Richter scale, less accurate means of
measuring an earthquake s intensity were used by geological scientists.
Until the early 1900s, earthquakes could only be measured after the earthquake had ended and then
only approximations could be made. The first attempt at scientifically measuring an earthquake s
intensity was performed in the middle of the nineteenth century. In Italy in 1857, the after effects of an
earthquake were quantified (Lutgen 2011, page 179). A map was created to show the comparable
damages that were found in different areas. This allowed geographers to make maps which would
show the areas of highest intensity and how intensity lessened in surrounding areas. Although this was
helpful, it only showed comparative intensities, not quantified data.
In 1902, Giuseppe Mercalli developed what was called the Modified Mercalli Intensity Scale. An
American version of the Mercalli system was incorporated in 1931. This system judged intensity of
earthquakes based upon the ways California

Erzsebet Bathory, also known as Elizabeth Bathory, was one of history s most prolific female serial
killer as she would torture and kill her victims, who were mainly young girls, merely to use their
blood to take baths, believing that her skin would get as smooth as most of her victims. The Blood
Countess was convicted and confined to a room of her castle that only had slits for air and food. She
survived in there for three years, however, she then died at the age of 54 most likely due to negligence

Compare And Contrast Marketing Strategy
2.2. Marketing strategy Nowadays, the concept of strategy in general and marketing strategy in
particular appears very popularly in modern market. Oxford Advanced Learner s Dictionary (2005,
p.1516) defines strategy as a plan that is intended to achieve a particular purpose or the process of
planning something or putting a plan into operation in a skilful way . Chandler, A. D. Jr (1962, p.7)
views strategy as the determination of the basic long term goals and objectives of an enterprise and the
adoption of courses of action and the allocation of resources necessary to carry out these goals . In

Amstrong, G, 2012). The most important point of this strategy is difference . Moreover, that difference
has to be valuable, unique and hard to copy. Differentiation advantage can only be achieved when a
firm is able to obtain from its differentiation a price premium in the market which exceeds the cost of
providing differentiation (Robinson J., 1933). To gain differentiation competitive advantage, the
company will have to invest a big budget to its product research and development. However, to remain
it is another story. Apple is one of the pioneers in implementing this strategy. Focus: If the company
cannot compete with both of the two above strategies, then it should think about focusing on
occupying only one or a few market segments (niche market), with typical groups of customer. The
customers of niche market are usually interested in either low price or differentiation, but other typical
features instead. As these features are not popular, the product range of the companies following cost
and differentiation cannot reach, and the company following focus strategy can avoid the fierce
competition with the other two groups. Roll Royce is a typical example for this

The Shepherd Motif In The Bible
Roman, in response to your thread you quote Laniak as saying Isaiah was clear about satire of biblical
leadership: to rule is to serve and to suffer, and to lead is to be both shepherd and sacrificial lamb
(Laniak, 129). This reference indeed is a clear demonstration of the shepherd motif in the Old
Testament. I believe I can rightly say that this text epitomizes the doctrine we have been surveying
through the reading of Laniak s book and the Bible. As we have been scouring through the Scriptures,
with the help of Laniak, we can easily find the shepherd metaphor used of God and of human leaders
throughout the Old and New Testament. Especially when it is used in referenced to the coming

The cup of God s wrath was exercised. Then and today, the Lion of heaven prepares to pounce those
shepherds who have preyed on the flock of God (49:19 21), (Laniak 140). This reference is clear on

you delve into the prophet Ezekiel, you make use of the verse that I have shortened to refer to the
shepherd motif, ... I will take note of you as you pass under my rod, and I will bring you into the bond
of the covenant (Ezek. 20:36 37). The two phrases I have bolded and italicized are concepts that allude
to the shepherd motif. The prophet Ezekiel avidly uses the shepherd of Israel motif because he

The Minister s Black Veil And The Fall Of The House Of...
Both of the short stories The Minister s Black Veil, by Nathaniel Hawthorne, and The Fall of the
House of Usher, by Edgar Allan Poe, deal with the theme of the evil of human nature. However,
Hawthorne presents all of human nature as naturally tending towards evil, whereas Poe only portrays
certain types of evil, such as the ability for mankind to be incestuous out of prideful, arrogant desires.
In The Minister s Black Veil, Mr. Hooper, the village minister, begins daily wearing a black veil for
mysterious reasons. While a veil typically symbolizes mourning and sorrow, the villagers saw the veil
as representing so much more though they were unsure of what. The veil both terrifies the villagers
and makes them feel drawn to Mr. Hooper. As the story progresses, we learn that Mr. Hooper used the
veil to symbolize the evil natures that all human beings try to hide. We first see the connection
between the veil and evil when we learn, while wearing the veil, Mr. Hooper became very effective in
being able to convert sinners to Christianity. Sinners felt drawn to him because they felt some sort of
connection between themselves and the veil. As the narrator explains, sinners said they felt that before
he brought them to celestial light, they had been with him behind the veil. In addition to being able to
strongly influence Christian converts, those who were dying felt drawn to him and cried aloud for Mr.
Hooper, and would not yield their breath till he appeared. We later

India was under British from the 18th century to 1947. Gandhi had a defiant march to the sea in

Advantages And Disadvantages Of Women Fashion
4.ADVANCEMENTS IN WOMEN CLOTHING
Fashion *is the style and custom prevalent at a given time. To some it s an art form, to others it s like a
part of their culture and religion but to most it is a method of utilizing cloth to show or hide something
about themselves. Fashion can be used to serve as an extension of one s own personality or to disguise
one s own true self. (Ukessays,2015)
Language **disguises the thought, so that from the external form of the clothes one cannot infer the
form of the thought they clothe, because the external form of the clothes is constructed with quite
another object than to let the form of the body be recognized (Calefato,2004.p.13).

To What Extent Did Cornelius Vanderbilt Change America
Imagine being alone in the business world, with only $100 in your pocket. What if it was possible to

Cornelius Vanderbilt became a millionaire and a largely known titan of industry. With his unique
business style he became an inspiration to many other competitors and new companies. Vanderbilt
allowed for other people to build up their own success, introduced a new business style, and even
allowed for new inventions that helped change America. Cornelius Vanderbilt truly is The
Commodore. First, Vanderbilt allowed for the other titans to begin their industries. Since Vanderbilt
had control of 40% of the railroads, he had control of shipping almost all products being made at that
time. Without Vanderbilt s railroads, no goods would get to the families and businesses of America.
Also, the stopping of shipment wouldn t allow Standard Oil or Carnegie Steel to become the popular

Analysis Of The Movie Forrest Gump
Forrest Gump tells the story of a man, who while slightly mentally and physically challenged, is to
lead a life full of experiences and wonderment. The audience is teleported to the 1960 s American
South and around the globe as they follow Forrest on this journey. By using historical footage, he is
placed in seemingly recorded events. The simple love story is interwoven with the upheavals of the
Vietnam era, the violent war sequences and solitude he requires to make sense of his changing life.
The 1994 film, directed by Robert Zemeckis, works brilliantly on many fronts. The casting of Tom
Hanks in the title role and the supporting actors including Sally Fields as Mrs. Gump and Gary Sinise
as Lieutenant Dan, all work very well together. But it is the unrequited love between Forrest and
Jenny, played by Robin Wright, that is the central narrative of the movie. While events would pull
them apart, their relationship was a key to the film s success.
The rich and timely musical score includes some of the iconic songs of the period such as Blowin in
the Wind by Joan Baez, Sweet Home Alabama by Lynyrd Skynard and Simon and Garfunkel s, Mrs.
Robinson. The power and emotional connection between the action on screen and the music score
works wonderfully on this movie. As the movie opens, we meet Forrest and Jenny as they board the
elementary bus to school. She is very pretty with straight blond hair while Forrest is awkward and

Politeness And Its Impact On The Early Nineteenth Century
As a result of the term politeness being mainly used as a verbal fixture in the eighteenth century, it
was frequently used in a vacuous manner resulting in its adding relatively little to both the general
notions of correctness and refinement (Stein van Ostade, 1994). However, during the early part of the
eighteenth century, there is significant evidence of the term politeness having a definite and specific
set of resonances. The importance of investigating the notion of politeness in the early eighteenth
century is that although the main idiom of politeness is seen to have generally been cultivated in a
number of important ways by numerous writers during the restoration decades, it has been mainly
crystallised during the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
During sixteenth and seventeenth centuries, politeness was generally used to help in evoking a vision
of culture and social life, which is considered to be appropriate to modern times. This vision of
politeness, linking cultural refinement and moral improvement, was epitomised in gentlemanly and
urbane conversations (Stein van Ostade, 1994). Politeness was found to be mainly a refined condition
of social interactions (Atkinson, 1999), while social politeness was found to be paradigmatically
conversational. Conversational politeness attempts to pursue verbal agreeableness that is essentially
captured in a characteristic vocabulary in the form of phrases and words, such as soft, natural, easy
and never tiresome (Stein van Ostade, 1994).Thus, although the actual origins of the subject of
politeness were mainly on the basis of social interactions, politeness eventually came to take an
essentially exemplary role for general conversations in written discourse. Polite texts were deemed to
be specifically conversational in nature. The actual pace of commenting on the English language was
remarkably quickened in the late seventeenth through to the eighteenth century. Though a large
number of language related texts were published during this period as a result of advancements in
printing (Kernan, 1989), there were new concerns with the notion of

Hester Prynne Religion
There is a Puritan society in the Scarlett letter which incorporates their organized religion into the
political system. Nathaniel Hawthorne wrote The Scarlet Letter and inside of the text he implies a
criticism and dislike of organized religion. The text itself critiques the style of organized religion by
describing the people as a group of people with sad coloured garments and grey steeple crowned hats
(Hawthorne 142). Hawthorne pictures the people of the town, as a simple and dark people. The
heathen of the story who divided the code of the town, Hester Prynne, is described as beautiful from
regularity of feature and richness of complexion (Hawthorne 159). He illustrates how he believes the
actions of Hester Prynne might ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Hester Prynne is forced to adhere to the regulations in order to keep her child whom she loves so
much. She says that she will instruct pearl about sin and what to believe. Hester is a prime example of
someone who wishes to resist the oppression, but is forced by social standards and even economical
ones to abide by them. She is paid by the people who believe strongly from organized religion, so if
she resists the entirety of the oppression from the organized group then she would be out of money, a
town to socialize and live in, and her child which is her happiness she is my torture (Hawthorne 325).
Furthermore, Hester is her torment as well as happiness because if not for her becoming pregnant, she
would be in a normal house with her family and friends, on the other hand Pearl is her happiness
because it is still her child and she loves her. Then, Hester, being brought up in this society herself,
appeals to the emotion of the minister to try and persuade them to let her keep Pearl. She says that
God gave her into my keeping and that She should have complete care of her (Hawthorne 325).
Furthermore, the organized religious group in The Scarlett Letter is oppressive because they form their
own through and ways of life upon all people of the town, as well as any visitors to the area. The
people are stopped from resisting this by formulating the idea that there is no way for someone to
resist it and

Sissy Jupe In The Movie Hard Times
Hard Times is a novel with the most confusing characters who would need talented actors and
actresses to be able to represent them because of the characteristics they show that are hard to

character of Sissy Jupe, as a result of her ability to be positive and know what it s like to lose it all,

That s why the actress Chloe Moretz or the character of Mia in the movie If I Stay would be an

character of Sissy(Cecilia) Jupe is in Hard Times . Sissy also is an imaginative character that likes to
wander and have her mind in places that Mr. Gradgrind thought never existed. Mia is a strong witted
character that wonders what her life is going to be like without her family, that no one could ever
imagine and she wonders about all of the greatness in life when her family was there. In Hard Times
Sissy s father runs away from her and abandons her and Sissy is left with the decision to go with Mr.
Gradgrind, a character who only cares about the facts and learning with no imagination or to live with
the people who love her and care for her and let her be the person she wants to be. Sissy has to choose
if she wants to have a satisfying life with all the people she loves and have fun or be taken in by Mr.
Gradgrind as a servant and one who has to only learn facts with no imagination. Mia goes through a
similar situation in If I Stay. Mia s family is hit when driving and Mia knows what s going on and can
see everything and has to generate the decision if she wants to live or die. She is unconscious, but
aware of everything else and she finds out that her parents and her brother all died in the crash and
were not able to stay alive. Even with this tragedy Mia, like Sissy, composes a strong, grave decision
that she wants to live even though her family is not there anymore. Sissy made the decision to live in a
safe home that will provide her with everything she needs. In both cases, they lose what s important to
them and the people that love them, but they keep moving forward.

Social Problems In Ray Bradbury s Fahrenheit 451
When predictions about life are made, it is hard for one to believe them because they are not certain if
those predictions will happen or not. However, when predictions that were made in the past begin to
happen in the life of a person living in today s world, they must be believed. In 1953, Mr. Ray
Bradbury wrote one of his famous novels, Fahrenheit 451, which was written predicting a future
overtaken by technology. Even though it was not very obvious at that time, this novel was very
successful in examining social problems in its time and in our time as well in various ways. Some of
the social problems in the 1950s that are examined in the novel include the red scare, communism, and
McCarthyism. In our present day, the social problems that are examined in that same novel include
overuse of technology and media.
According to Yohuru Williams, the government would investigate and interrogate people to see if they
are loyal to the US or if they are communists (Red Scare (1)). Even though it might be unbelievable, it
happened to Ray Bradbury. According to Alison Flood, Ray Bradbury was investigated by the FBI
during the 1950s, with government agents interviewing his peers and putting him under surveillance
before concluding that despite being critical of the US government in his writing, the celebrated writer
was never a member of the Communist party (Ray Bradbury Investigated for Communist Sympathies
(1)). Because of his being critical of the government in his novels, it

Sex Through The Centuries By Emily Dickinson
Sex through the Centuries
When writing a poem that asks or pleads for sex one must be careful to disguise it so as to not scare
off the person for whom it is intended. The two poems listed below accomplish this by asking for sex
without blatantly asking for sex. The earlier writing from 1606 Come, My Celia, Let us prove by Ben
Jonson shows more eloquence and wordplay than the more recent poem Wild Nights Wild Nights by
Emily Dickinson. This is partly because of the way that people spoke at that point in time, and partly
to disguise the meaning with subtlety. The more recent poem shows less eloquence, but it does have a
double meaning. They are both, however, deceptive on the surface with underlying sexual messages in
their context.
A comparison of Come, My Celia, Let us prove by Ben Jonson and Wild Nights Wild Nights by Emily
Dickinson shows that love and desire are not a new thing, but that they have existed for a long time.
The message is the same, but the way that they are expressed differs. Both of these poems are about
the urgency of a romantic encounter that the authors wish to happen. Come, My Celia, Let us prove
was originally a song in the play Volpone (1605), where Volpone unsuccessfully attempts to seduce
Celia by offering gifts and pleasure. Edwin S. Lindsey, University of Chattanooga, writes Celia, the
beautiful wife of old Corvino, is betrayed into the hands of the crafty and wanton old Volpone. He
tries to seduce her, using all the lures of wealth,

Analysis Of Kafka On The Shore
It is natural for humans to question the meaning and nature of their existence in a world that is
constantly evolving and asking more questions of its inhabitants. In his 467 page novel Kafka on the
Shore, Haruki Murakami explores this complex and deeply confusing issue through the lens of two
protagonists Kafka, an outcast 15 year old boy with a grotesque Oedipus Complex; and Nakata, a
pensioner who was subject to a disastrous trauma in the Second World War. Through their stories,
Murakami guides the reader through challenging concepts under the guise of magical realism: a
technique he uses to develop themes and meanings that would otherwise be inaccessible to a writer
with a more conventional approach. In the novel, time is bent, ... Show more content on

a mysterious being who can only be described as Kafka s subconscious. Crow speaks to Kafka
throughout the novel, and brings him reason and guidance when his literal existence simply does not
suffice. Initially, Crow reminds Kafka:
Sometimes fate is like a small sandstorm that keeps changing directions. You change direction but the
sandstorm chases you. You turn again, but the storm adjusts. Over and over you play this out, like
some ominous dance with death just before dawn. Why? Because this storm isn t something that blew

you. So all you can do is give in to it, step right inside the storm, closing your eyes and plugging up
your ears so the sand doesn t get in, and walk through it, step by step. There s no sun there, no moon,
no direction, no sense of time. Just fine white sand swirling up into the sky like pulverized bones. That
s the kind of sandstorm you need to imagine. (3)

A Very Brief Biography of Albert Einstein
To become a scientist is not an easy path. You start from zero and have to start making people believe
in you. That is one of the hardest task you have to do as a scientist but along come other task. You
have to go through a lot of experiments and trial and error. People may start believing your thoughts
and equations. The fact that they believe them does not make you a scientist until you can prove your
theory. Albert Einstein for decades had the best thoughts but was not consider a scientist until he had
physically proved his theory.
Albert Einstein was considered a middle class Jew. He was born March 14, 1879 in Württemberg,
Germany. Albert Einstein family relocated to Munich, Germany and he began to go to school there.
When he was a going to school things that got his attention were math, science and music. Even
though he was interested in those subjects he dropped out of school 1894 as, many teens do. Then

Culture Of German Culture
German culture has spanned throughout the entire German speaking world. From its roots, culture in
Germany has been molded by major intellectual and popular currents in Europe, both religious and
secular. Historically Deutschland has been called Das Land der Dichter und Denker (the country of
poets and thinkers) (Wasser, 2006). Germany is in the middle of Europe, not only geographically, but
also in terms of politics and economics. The country is Europe s second most populated after Russia,
with more than 81 million people. The German economy is the largest on the continent and the fifth
largest in the world after Japan. While German exerts its influence on the countries that border it
Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, France, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Switzerland and
Poland all of these cultures have, in varying degrees, had a hand in molding today s Germany.
The population is 91.5 percent German, with Turkish being the second largest ethnic group at 2.4
percent. The remaining 6.1 percent is made up mostly of those of Greek, Russian, Italian, Polish,
Serbo Croatian and Spanish descent (Zimmermann, 2015).
Culture is precisely related to language in many different ways. When a person uses language what is
said and how it is said is contributed by the person s culture. During some cultures, the past influences
language. Other languages are molded with the current beliefs of the culture. The German language
has gone through three different periods each

St. Louis is a town in the middle of Missouri located on the Mississippi River. Back in the earth 1900

Cognitive Theory Of Anger
The study is anchored on a social cognitive theory which states that people learn from individual
experiences, the actions of others, and their interaction with their environment. The cognitive theory
of emotion calls to mind that learning occurs when an individual takes the observed behavior and
incorporates it into their own knowledge (Bandura, A.1990). The theory was illustrated in triangular
pattern which emphasizes the dynamic interaction between people (personal factors), their behavior,
and their environments which can be elaborated further relating to factors known as personal issue,
social pressure and family factors.
Anger is said to be an emotion that all people feel which a normal thing as a human is. In this way,
there are factors that can affect the mood and make a person angry and aggressive. There is always a
trigger from the environment that can provoke people to be angry and aggressive but people do have a
choice to accept or reject the invitation. Personal problem is a guaranteed factor that affects the
emotion and mentality of a person. Personal problems approach on many ways that can possibly cause
anger. According to Dr. Ronald Potter Efron, there are following factors that can give rise to an angry
brain and these are frustration, excessive stress overtime, physical and emotional trauma, alcohol and
drug abuse, excessive hormone release, problems with neurotransmitters, and brain malfunctions that
promote anger and aggression. Most people are able to

I will not tire of declaring that if we truly want an effective end to the violence, we must eliminate the
violence that lies at the root of all violence: structural violence, social injustice, the exclusion of
citizens from the management of the country, repression, Oscar Romero said in his sermon on the 23rd
September 1979. Six months later, Romero was shot and killed. During the 1970 s and 80 s the El

In 1979 Romero presented the pope with seven reports of kidnapping, torture and murder. By this time
the amount of people being killed was more than 3000 per month and Romero could offer no more to

Comparison Of Apology And Phaedo By Plato
Philosophy, according to Oxford Dictionary, is the study of the general and fundamental nature of
reality and language. Therefore, philosophy is an understanding of ourselves and the world around us,
it is the knowledge one is willing to attain simply for the sake of knowing and being aware.
Literally meaning love of wisdom , philosophy is very significant in our lives as it encourages one to
better understand themselves through questioning and look past what one has been told in order to
attain greater knowledge. This further leads one to be humble, honest and think critically. Overall,

Dr. Demming s Great Advice
Dr. Demming s Great Advice
1. Describe the essential aspects of a self directed, intrinsically motivated, active learner?
A student who is a self directed, intrinsically motivated, active learner will own their goals, setting
their goals based on their specific needs, wants, and abilities. They will watch to ensure that their
goals are being met. The methods used by the active learner to achieve his/her goals will change
depending on the opportunities and challenges encountered over time, but the core goals should stay
the same. Otherwise, the active learner will be overcome by distractions and disillusionment.
Dr. W. Edwards Deming is a man that I admire. He was the chief statistician for the United Stated
during World War II. After the war, he was sent to Japan to assist with the process of rebuilding the
nation s industries. He believed that the Japanese could go from being the worst in the world to being
the best by utilizing statistical methods. He believed that the Japanese could take over a world market
in five years if they followed his advice (Asq.org, 2015). Demming stated I was the only man in Japan
who believed that Japanese industry could do that. and They beat my prediction. I had said it would

systems on Dr. Demming s teachings.

Arab Dichotomy
The dichotomy of historical events, personalities and concepts are central to devising a sense of both
triumph and tragedy, varying in perspective for the individuals and groups directly involved. The
creation of the state of Israel accommodates this dichotomy, in which the event can simply be
recognised as a success for the Jewish people whose religious land was regained, and a calamity for
the Arab Palestinians who became displaced refugees as a result. Since the inception of the Israeli
nation state in 1948, religious and political difference have played a major role in bringing about the
Arab Israeli conflict. The dominance of the Jewish people, driven by religious and cultural ties to the
land following their Diaspora, has seen the formation of Israel as a short term social triumph.
However, the resultant dispossession of Arab refugees in the elicited conflict, consolidated by the

collectively accumulate where areas high in calcium take place, such as bones and teeth ( Water 1).
Over the years, since inception, many people have questioned why fluoride continues to remain
integrated into the water and consumer products in general. Many toothpaste brands have fluoride in

The pineal gland is the part of the brain that manages your circadian rhythm and from a spiritual
perspective, allows mutli dimensional perception. In the 1990 s, a British scientist, Jennifer Luke,
discovered that fluoride accumulates strikingly high levels in the pineal gland ( Fluoride 1). This is not
a good thing at all, and can cause more effects on females than males, although it is not good for
anyone. Melatonin, which is produced in the pineal gland, maintains the body s circadian rhythm and
also regulates the onset puberty in females. This ties into the next finding, which is the proven fact
that melatonin levels are lower with high levels of fluoride in the pineal gland, and affects more of the
pineal gland normal functions ( Fluoride 1). All of these facts can prove that with a reduced melatonin
production, sleep hinders and affects our daily lives. While the impacts of these fluoride
concentrations in the pineal gland are not fully understood, studies have found that calcified deposits
in the pineal gland are associated with decreased numbers of functioning pinealocytes and reduced
melatonin production as well as impairments in the sleep wake cycle ( Fluoride 1). In the spiritual
world, fluoridation can cause serious problems for the third eye concept in the pineal gland ( Rinpoche
). It mentions that within the calcified pineal gland, it can become increasingly difficult to activate the
universal perception that comes along with balancing the chakras ( Rinpoche ). There are methods you
can work with that can decalcify, and furthermore there are plenty of conspiracies that state

Reflection Paper On Poverty Walk
Introduction Going into the Poverty Walk assignment, the thought of burdening myself with further
limitation on my financial life past what I experience daily was extremely stressful. Honestly, I felt
tears welling up in my eyes as I thought, How can I make this happen? I am a single mom with
enormous levels of responsibilities on my shoulders, and can this assignment be possible? Per
government standards, my family and I already live below the poverty line with three family members
living well below the income level of $20,420 (U.S. Department Health and Human Services, 2017).
Knowing that I have been following the tight fisted way of life taught to me by Dave Ramsey for a
few years, I felt confidence that I just needed to adapt and figure out the best way to fit my life into
this assignment. A few things I had working for my challenge were the fact that I am a farmer, hunter,
fisherwoman, and I work with children so I could eat at work for free. I am currently enrolled in
school, volunteer as a Girl Scout troop leader, farm from home, work full time on a military
installation and parent two wonderful girls. This left little room for one more responsibility but I
committed myself and jumped in with two feet. I posted on social media that I was dropping off the
map for the next few days, told my co workers and friends not to text or call me, and warned my Girl
Scout parents I would be out of the loop for almost a week. Away I went to the land of the cheap and

was only $0.06 per cup. I walked my older daughter to the bus stop then got ready for the morning
without showering, with clean clothes that I prepared ahead of time. I carted my younger daughter off
to her school, which I considered caregiving, and outside of the realm of travel, from which I headed
to work. I work with young children where we model good eating habits in a family style dining
setting, where we eat every three hours. This provided me

Archetypes In Hamlet
Archetypes are a constant throughout the classic of literature, an invaluable tool for the character s
thought process and how they ll react to everything. Even the infamous playwright and poet, William
Shakespeare, uses it to enhances his stories. For instance, in Shakespeare s Hamlet, the play is known
for its archetype. For instance, Laertes is often considered as the doppelganger archetype of Hamlet.
Often, he s believed to be the only one that s able to fill in the position of equal standing with Hamlet.
However, although many people would ve come to the assumption that Laertes is Hamlet s
doppelganger, because of his desires for vengeance against the people who ve wronged him and how
his personality contrasts Hamlet s character, Ophelia is the true foil of not only Hamlet, but Laertes as
well.
However, to understand archetypes, it s a must to start with a little review on psychoanalysis,
especially its evolution. From the beginning of archetypes, it began with Carl Jung, in the late
nineteenth to the mid twentieth century, being considered the successor of psychoanalysis. Similar to
Sigmund Freud, Jung was fascinated by the human being s psyche and its evolution over time. He
believed a person s past, aspirations, and experiences shape their characters who d they become in the
future. However, while both psychologists studies revolved around a person s psyche and their mental
wellbeing, Jung primarily focused on the attributes that contributed to the psyche s

Black Panther Party Reflection

This connects to our class in a way it relates to the documentary that we watched about the Black

  • 2. Conversation Partner s Communication Analysis Profile of your Conversation Partner s Communication What are the features of your CP s communication? Consider how they express themselves (think about verbal and non verbal means). JR has mild, fluent, anomic aphasia. People with fluent aphasia have difficulties understanding spoken and written language, but expression is mostly within normal limits (Robb, 2014). JR has difficulties naming certain words, often nouns. For example, she was having trouble naming Riverstone , a restaurant, so instead she said Dot s (the owner) place near the Waitaki River . She mainly communicates verbally, but is not afraid to show us something using her body if she cannot express what she would like using words. For example, she has an oddly shaped ball in her living room which we asked about. She then demonstrated to us how she uses the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Sometimes before our visit, JR and JM (the other CP in our group) work with fourth year Speech and Language students. Some of this work involves reading from a book, and then they answer questions about the book or review the plot and features of the novel. This seems to tire them out, as they do not take much of a break before our visit (the break is normally only around five minutes, the time it takes for them to pack up from their previous session). They are normally fine for the first 45 minutes and show no signs of fatigue, but by the end of the hour it is always evident that they are tired and would like to end the visit. On the sessions where they don t have the fourth years visit, or have not had another session before us, their communication ability is consistent. When we had our reflection after the first term, we decided that forty minute visits might be more productive. With a tighter structure of visits, we could have better discussions and ensure all the time we used was useful. This also meant that JR and JM will not as exhausted after our visits and have more positive ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

During the diet, the South Beach diet emphasizes the consumption of high quality carbohydrates such as: whole grains and fruits and high quality fats such as: low fat cheese and skim milk. In contrast, it eliminates dire carbohydrates such as potatoes and dire fats such as: bacon, butter, and cream. This allows people the luxury of several high energy foods that contain good carbohydrates and good fats, whilst eliminating cravings and keeping taste buds satisfied. This diet has three phases. If you find yourself getting off track or if cravings return, you can go back to Phase 1 or 2 to maintain your goal weight. You ll continue to maintain your weight and healthy lifestyle for the rest of your life (Agaston, n.d.). As a whole, the South Beach diet food selection is low in carbohydrates and low in fat. It teaches dieters the right carbohydrates (whole grains and fruit) and right fats (extra virgin olive oil, canola oil and avocados) to eat. By following this diet the person will begin to lose between 4 6 kilograms, within the first two (2) weeks (Phase one). The diet suggests starting off having three balanced meals a day which can contain foods of normal serving size such as meat, chicken, turkey, fish, vegetables, eggs, cheese and nuts. These listed foods are mainly protein and diary based, which contain low sugars and salt. By initially eliminating all sugary carbohydrates like cereals, grains and fruits, the body will lower blood sugar levels, and begin to burn excess fat instead, causing weight loss. Analysis of the diet against its ability to meet the Australian Dietary Guidelines According to the Department of Health and Ageing (2011) The Australian Dietary Guideline (ADG) 2: Enjoy a wide variety of nutritious foods from the five groups every day , carbohydrates being one of the major food groups. Type B and Type C killer whales in the Southern Ross Sea were satellite tracked via a projectile dart fired from either an air gun or crossbow (Andrews, et al. 2008). Their movements were unique from one another. While Type C showed limited movement, Type B traveled much longer distances (Andrews, et al. 2008). Type A killer whales are distinctive from Type B and Type C as it has a larger body size, no visible dorsal fin, and a medium sized eye patch (Pitman and Ensor 2003). A tragedy is a story in which the main characters suffer from extreme sorrow. Nevertheless, when Romeo makes one terrible move on his community and family, each person would react differently like killing themselves. In the meantime, Romeo suffers through extreme sorrow from tragic flaws, moral weaknesses, and has the inability to cope with unfavorable circumstances. To begin with, Romeo has a tendency to become impatient when he is waiting for someone or something. For instance, Benvolio, who is telling his speech says, And, as he fell, did Romeo turn and fly (3.1.136). Since Romeo kills Tybalt in front of a couple of people, he cannot wait for the serving men to come, so he ran away as rapid as he could. • 9. Earthquake Intensities Earthquake Intensities Earthquakes are a marvel of geology. When faults under the surface of the earth move, the ground moves. These earthquakes can be very mild, barely registering or they can be horrific with far reaching consequences. Scientists have become fascinated with the study of earthquakes for centuries but it is only in recent years that quantified data has been collected and analyzed by scientists regarding these geologic phenomena. Before the invention of the Richter scale, less accurate means of measuring an earthquake s intensity were used by geological scientists. Until the early 1900s, earthquakes could only be measured after the earthquake had ended and then only approximations could be made. The first attempt at scientifically measuring an earthquake s intensity was performed in the middle of the nineteenth century. In Italy in 1857, the after effects of an earthquake were quantified (Lutgen 2011, page 179). A map was created to show the comparable damages that were found in different areas. This allowed geographers to make maps which would show the areas of highest intensity and how intensity lessened in surrounding areas. Although this was helpful, it only showed comparative intensities, not quantified data. In 1902, Giuseppe Mercalli developed what was called the Modified Mercalli Intensity Scale. An American version of the Mercalli system was incorporated in 1931. This system judged intensity of earthquakes based upon the ways California ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The Blood Countess was convicted and confined to a room of her castle that only had slits for air and food. She survived in there for three years, however, she then died at the age of 54 most likely due to negligence and malnutrition (Bathory s Torturous Escapades). Oxford Advanced Learner s Dictionary (2005, p.1516) defines strategy as a plan that is intended to achieve a particular purpose or the process of planning something or putting a plan into operation in a skilful way . Chandler, A. D. Jr (1962, p.7) views strategy as the determination of the basic long term goals and objectives of an enterprise and the adoption of courses of action and the allocation of resources necessary to carry out these goals . Amstrong, G, 2012). The most important point of this strategy is difference . Moreover, that difference has to be valuable, unique and hard to copy. Differentiation advantage can only be achieved when a firm is able to obtain from its differentiation a price premium in the market which exceeds the cost of providing differentiation (Robinson J., 1933). To gain differentiation competitive advantage, the company will have to invest a big budget to its product research and development. However, to remain it is another story. Apple is one of the pioneers in implementing this strategy. Focus: If the company cannot compete with both of the two above strategies, then it should think about focusing on occupying only one or a few market segments (niche market), with typical groups of customer. The customers of niche market are usually interested in either low price or differentiation, but other typical features instead. As these features are not popular, the product range of the companies following cost and differentiation cannot reach, and the company following focus strategy can avoid the fierce competition with the other two groups. • 12. The Shepherd Motif In The Bible Roman, in response to your thread you quote Laniak as saying Isaiah was clear about satire of biblical leadership: to rule is to serve and to suffer, and to lead is to be both shepherd and sacrificial lamb (Laniak, 129). This reference indeed is a clear demonstration of the shepherd motif in the Old Testament. I believe I can rightly say that this text epitomizes the doctrine we have been surveying through the reading of Laniak s book and the Bible. • 13. The Minister s Black Veil And The Fall Of The House Of... Both of the short stories The Minister s Black Veil, by Nathaniel Hawthorne, and The Fall of the House of Usher, by Edgar Allan Poe, deal with the theme of the evil of human nature. However, Hawthorne presents all of human nature as naturally tending towards evil, whereas Poe only portrays certain types of evil, such as the ability for mankind to be incestuous out of prideful, arrogant desires. In The Minister s Black Veil, Mr. Hooper, the village minister, begins daily wearing a black veil for mysterious reasons. While a veil typically symbolizes mourning and sorrow, the villagers saw the veil as representing so much more though they were unsure of what. The veil both terrifies the villagers and makes them feel drawn to Mr. Hooper. As the story progresses, we learn that Mr. Hooper used the veil to symbolize the evil natures that all human beings try to hide. We first see the connection between the veil and evil when we learn, while wearing the veil, Mr. Hooper became very effective in being able to convert sinners to Christianity. Sinners felt drawn to him because they felt some sort of connection between themselves and the veil. As the narrator explains, sinners said they felt that before he brought them to celestial light, they had been with him behind the veil. In addition to being able to strongly influence Christian converts, those who were dying felt drawn to him and cried aloud for Mr. Hooper, and would not yield their breath till he appeared. The audience is teleported to the 1960 s American South and around the globe as they follow Forrest on this journey. By using historical footage, he is placed in seemingly recorded events. The simple love story is interwoven with the upheavals of the Vietnam era, the violent war sequences and solitude he requires to make sense of his changing life. The 1994 film, directed by Robert Zemeckis, works brilliantly on many fronts. The casting of Tom Hanks in the title role and the supporting actors including Sally Fields as Mrs. Gump and Gary Sinise as Lieutenant Dan, all work very well together. But it is the unrequited love between Forrest and Jenny, played by Robin Wright, that is the central narrative of the movie. The rich and timely musical score includes some of the iconic songs of the period such as Blowin in the Wind by Joan Baez, Sweet Home Alabama by Lynyrd Skynard and Simon and Garfunkel s, Mrs. Robinson. However, during the early part of the eighteenth century, there is significant evidence of the term politeness having a definite and specific set of resonances. Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... During sixteenth and seventeenth centuries, politeness was generally used to help in evoking a vision of culture and social life, which is considered to be appropriate to modern times. This vision of politeness, linking cultural refinement and moral improvement, was epitomised in gentlemanly and urbane conversations (Stein van Ostade, 1994). Politeness was found to be mainly a refined condition of social interactions (Atkinson, 1999), while social politeness was found to be paradigmatically conversational. Conversational politeness attempts to pursue verbal agreeableness that is essentially captured in a characteristic vocabulary in the form of phrases and words, such as soft, natural, easy and never tiresome (Stein van Ostade, 1994).Thus, although the actual origins of the subject of politeness were mainly on the basis of social interactions, politeness eventually came to take an essentially exemplary role for general conversations in written discourse. Polite texts were deemed to be specifically conversational in nature. The actual pace of commenting on the English language was remarkably quickened in the late seventeenth through to the eighteenth century. In 1953, Mr. Ray Bradbury wrote one of his famous novels, Fahrenheit 451, which was written predicting a future overtaken by technology. • 24. Sex Through The Centuries By Emily Dickinson Sex through the Centuries When writing a poem that asks or pleads for sex one must be careful to disguise it so as to not scare off the person for whom it is intended. The two poems listed below accomplish this by asking for sex without blatantly asking for sex. The earlier writing from 1606 Come, My Celia, Let us prove by Ben Jonson shows more eloquence and wordplay than the more recent poem Wild Nights Wild Nights by Emily Dickinson. This is partly because of the way that people spoke at that point in time, and partly to disguise the meaning with subtlety. The more recent poem shows less eloquence, but it does have a double meaning. They are both, however, deceptive on the surface with underlying sexual messages in their context. A comparison of Come, My Celia, Let us prove by Ben Jonson and Wild Nights Wild Nights by Emily Dickinson shows that love and desire are not a new thing, but that they have existed for a long time. The message is the same, but the way that they are expressed differs. Both of these poems are about the urgency of a romantic encounter that the authors wish to happen. Come, My Celia, Let us prove was originally a song in the play Volpone (1605), where Volpone unsuccessfully attempts to seduce Celia by offering gifts and pleasure. Edwin S. Cognitive Theory Of Anger The study is anchored on a social cognitive theory which states that people learn from individual experiences, the actions of others, and their interaction with their environment. The cognitive theory of emotion calls to mind that learning occurs when an individual takes the observed behavior and incorporates it into their own knowledge (Bandura, A.1990). The theory was illustrated in triangular pattern which emphasizes the dynamic interaction between people (personal factors), their behavior, and their environments which can be elaborated further relating to factors known as personal issue, social pressure and family factors. The evening after saying this, a paid assassin shot Romero while giving Mass in the Divine Providence Hospital. Romero became a martyr and is now regarded as saint in El Salvador. Studying the works of Plato and the views of Socrates has made me aware of a higher purpose which may exist as the soul may truly be immortal. This has allowed me to expand my view and look into possibilities which cause me to question myself and be confident in my reasoning which in turn allows me to effectively communicate my thoughts as I feel confident In the conclusion I reach by reasoning. Thus, philosophy is significant for us today as it allows one to not only think, but effectively communicate with others. • 33. Dr. Demming s Great Advice Dr. Demming s Great Advice 1. Describe the essential aspects of a self directed, intrinsically motivated, active learner? A student who is a self directed, intrinsically motivated, active learner will own their goals, setting their goals based on their specific needs, wants, and abilities. They will watch to ensure that their goals are being met. The methods used by the active learner to achieve his/her goals will change depending on the opportunities and challenges encountered over time, but the core goals should stay the same. Otherwise, the active learner will be overcome by distractions and disillusionment. Dr. W. Edwards Deming is a man that I admire. He was the chief statistician for the United Stated during World War II. After the war, he was sent to Japan to assist with the process of rebuilding the nation s industries. He believed that the Japanese could go from being the worst in the world to being the best by utilizing statistical methods. He believed that the Japanese could take over a world market in five years if they followed his advice (Asq.org, 2015). Demming stated I was the only man in Japan who believed that Japanese industry could do that. and They beat my prediction. I had said it would need five years. It took four. (Asq.org, 2015). Later, the Toyota Corporation based their quality systems on Dr. Demming s teachings. Since I believe that Dr. Deming s advice can be used by almost any person or organization to achieve their goals, I have adapted ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 34. Hurricane Matthew Geography The weather this week is relatively calm. I only came across two interesting items. One is hurricane Matthew and the other being the earthquake warning in southern California. Quite honestly I m not sure that the earthquake warning counts as weather but it was very interesting and in my opinion is related to geography. So, I will talk about the hurricane. Hurricane Matthew is the strongest hurricane since hurricane Felix in 2007. It is the thirteenth named storm of this year s hurricane season. It is predicted that this storm will be devastating to Haiti due to deforestation. This makes the likelihood of mudslides and flooding much greater. Hurricane Matthew briefly reached a category 5 level which is the highest level with wind speeds ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 35. Arab Dichotomy The dichotomy of historical events, personalities and concepts are central to devising a sense of both triumph and tragedy, varying in perspective for the individuals and groups directly involved. The creation of the state of Israel accommodates this dichotomy, in which the event can simply be recognised as a success for the Jewish people whose religious land was regained, and a calamity for the Arab Palestinians who became displaced refugees as a result. Since the inception of the Israeli nation state in 1948, religious and political difference have played a major role in bringing about the Arab Israeli conflict. The dominance of the Jewish people, driven by religious and cultural ties to the land following their Diaspora, has seen the formation of Israel as a short term social triumph. However, the resultant dispossession of Arab refugees in the elicited conflict, consolidated by the increase in Arab rebel terrorist activity and interference of other states has ... Further debate surrounds the level of influence religious sacred texts such as the Torah or Quran can have on the modern world. Modern day Israel is located on the east coast of the Mediterranean Sea and holds immense religious significance for the monotheistic religions of Judaism, Christianity and Islam which were believed to originate there. For Judaism, it is considered the birthplace of shaping the Jewish identity through the covenant made between God and Abraham. According to historian Fred J. • 36. Effects Of Fluoride On Human Health The Harmful Effects of Fluoride on Human Health Removing fluoride from consumer products benefits human health, prevent low IQ s, and rids the notion that it helps cavities. Fluoride combines the element fluorine with another substance, generally a metal ( Water 1). Once in the body, fluoride absorbs into the blood through the digestive tract. They collectively accumulate where areas high in calcium take place, such as bones and teeth ( Water 1). Over the years, since inception, many people have questioned why fluoride continues to remain integrated into the water and consumer products in general. Many toothpaste brands have fluoride in it, and dentist claims it aids in preventing cavities, although there is research that will explain that ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The pineal gland is the part of the brain that manages your circadian rhythm and from a spiritual perspective, allows mutli dimensional perception. In the 1990 s, a British scientist, Jennifer Luke, discovered that fluoride accumulates strikingly high levels in the pineal gland ( Fluoride 1). This is not a good thing at all, and can cause more effects on females than males, although it is not good for anyone. Melatonin, which is produced in the pineal gland, maintains the body s circadian rhythm and also regulates the onset puberty in females. This ties into the next finding, which is the proven fact that melatonin levels are lower with high levels of fluoride in the pineal gland, and affects more of the pineal gland normal functions ( Fluoride 1). All of these facts can prove that with a reduced melatonin production, sleep hinders and affects our daily lives. While the impacts of these fluoride concentrations in the pineal gland are not fully understood, studies have found that calcified deposits in the pineal gland are associated with decreased numbers of functioning pinealocytes and reduced melatonin production as well as impairments in the sleep wake cycle ( Fluoride 1). In the spiritual world, fluoridation can cause serious problems for the third eye concept in the pineal gland ( Rinpoche ). It mentions that within the calcified pineal gland, it can become increasingly difficult to activate the universal perception that comes along with balancing the chakras ( Rinpoche ). There are methods you can work with that can decalcify, and furthermore there are plenty of conspiracies that state fluoridation is deliberately causing calcified pineal glands to lower perceptions and ... • 37. Reflection Paper On Poverty Walk Introduction Going into the Poverty Walk assignment, the thought of burdening myself with further limitation on my financial life past what I experience daily was extremely stressful. Honestly, I felt tears welling up in my eyes as I thought, How can I make this happen? I am a single mom with enormous levels of responsibilities on my shoulders, and can this assignment be possible? Per government standards, my family and I already live below the poverty line with three family members living well below the income level of $20,420 (U.S. Department Health and Human Services, 2017). Knowing that I have been following the tight fisted way of life taught to me by Dave Ramsey for a few years, I felt confidence that I just needed to adapt and figure out the best way to fit my life into this assignment. A few things I had working for my challenge were the fact that I am a farmer, hunter, fisherwoman, and I work with children so I could eat at work for free. I am currently enrolled in school, volunteer as a Girl Scout troop leader, farm from home, work full time on a military installation and parent two wonderful girls. This left little room for one more responsibility but I committed myself and jumped in with two feet. I posted on social media that I was dropping off the map for the next few days, told my co workers and friends not to text or call me, and warned my Girl Scout parents I would be out of the loop for almost a week. Away I went to the land of the cheap and free. Day One Wake up time at 6 a.m. and realized I would not be able to check Facebook, or get up to date on the daily dose of ridiculous videos that always ate up about an hour of my precious time. Began my day by calculating the cost of drinking coffee made from home, and found relief realizing it was only $0.06 per cup. I walked my older daughter to the bus stop then got ready for the morning without showering, with clean clothes that I prepared ahead of time. I carted my younger daughter off to her school, which I considered caregiving, and outside of the realm of travel, from which I headed to work. I work with young children where we model good eating habits in a family style dining setting, where we eat every three hours. This provided me ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 38. Archetypes In Hamlet Archetypes are a constant throughout the classic of literature, an invaluable tool for the character s thought process and how they ll react to everything. Even the infamous playwright and poet, William Shakespeare, uses it to enhances his stories. For instance, in Shakespeare s Hamlet, the play is known for its archetype. For instance, Laertes is often considered as the doppelganger archetype of Hamlet. Often, he s believed to be the only one that s able to fill in the position of equal standing with Hamlet. However, although many people would ve come to the assumption that Laertes is Hamlet s doppelganger, because of his desires for vengeance against the people who ve wronged him and how his personality contrasts Hamlet s character, Ophelia is the true foil of not only Hamlet, but Laertes as well. However, to understand archetypes, it s a must to start with a little review on psychoanalysis, especially its evolution. From the beginning of archetypes, it began with Carl Jung, in the late nineteenth to the mid twentieth century, being considered the successor of psychoanalysis. Similar to Sigmund Freud, Jung was fascinated by the human being s psyche and its evolution over time. He believed a person s past, aspirations, and experiences shape their characters who d they become in the future. However, while both psychologists studies revolved around a person s psyche and their mental wellbeing, Jung primarily focused on the attributes that contributed to the psyche s ... • 39. Black Panther Party Reflection My experience at the Oakland Museum was educational, I learn about the history of Asian American were mistreated and placed to work on the railroads. The artwork I saw at the Museum was quite amazing that look quite realistic. It was a photograph of lady holding a child during the time of the Great Depression. Another thing I saw was The Black Panther Party exhibit it was quite small, but I learn that African American does not want to be seen as second class citizen and being disrespected. This connects to our class in a way it relates to the documentary that we watched about the Black Panther Party. The Black Panther Party is a movement that revolutionized the Black community like the Black Lives Matter movement that is around today. This particular movement help fund a breakfast program for low income family which it is a model used in public schools. Lastly, I sat on a half opened airplane and imagining I was an immigrant coming to the United States looking for new opportunities like the War and Peace documentary I watched for a homework assignment. Overall, I enjoy the Oakland Museum. The second event I attended was the no A s movement. I did not really went there close enough since I was in a rush to get to work. However, I took a quick second to take a picture of the event. The movement is not that big compared to the Black Panther Party movement in the early 1990 s where Huey, one of the controversial figures in the party. He was the one who is seen as a ...
