Causes And Effect Of Najib Ivb
How does Najib effect the Malaysian economy and his background and 1MDB?
I would like to investigate the causes that have led to the newspaper headlines and investigations
surrounding the Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak and 1MDB. These include alleged fraud and
the damage to the perception of Malaysia. What have been the direct costs and how will it effect the
future Malaysian economy and political system. Will it bring an end to the ruling party United Malays
National Organisation (UMNO) which has been in power since independence.
Najib bin Tun Haji Abdul Razak, the Prime Minister of Malaysia has regressed (returned to a former
or less developed state) Malaysia s economy. Meaning Malaysia has lost more money, GDP and has
not progressed and is still an LIC. There are also worrying signs of the government and Najib himslef

A Christian Worldview On The World Through The Lens Of The...
A Christian worldview would encompass the framework that we must view the world through the lens
of the Bible. Human Nature: I have not given much thought as to identifying my Christian worldview
on paper, and rarely have I given it much thought. To be a born again is to believe the Gospel of Jesus
Christ one must take a stand for the fundamental principles of the Gospel. Those principles include
belief in God as the creator of the universe and all that are on the earth and Jesus Christ as the Son of
God who came to save the world from sin and redeem us back to God. The absolute truth that Jesus
Christ was born of a virgin, lived, died on the cross for all mankind for the sins both seen and unseen,
and rose from the grave on the third day, who has now has ascended to heaven. He will return to take
us back to the place that he has prepared for the bride to come and live with him in eternity. God the
Father is the Absolute, Sovereign, eternal God who has no beginning and no end, who moves in and
out of time to have interaction at his will with the children of men. The scripture is viewed as the
infallible Word of God and they were written by men of old who were inspired by God. Therefore, the
Christian worldview that I ascribe to are the ones that I have previously noted. Now there are those
who would question or disagree with my next principle, however, I feel that a Christian should possess
this nature as well. The Bible tells us in Acts 2: how the called were in the upper

Opression Of Women In The Story Of An Hour
In the short story, The Story of an Hour by Kate Chopin, the main character receives depressing news
that her husband was involved in a deadly train accident. Initially, Mrs. Mallard falls into shock and
has the normal feelings anyone would have when losing a loved one; such as depression, denial,
anger, etc. Wanting to escape this cruel reality she locks herself in her room and begins to process
these emotions. She described this possession of self assertion which she suddenly recognize as the
strongest impulse of her being... [she thought this as she whispered] free! Body and soul free! . After
doing so, she becomes aware of the fact that she is ultimately relieved to be free from the chain that
held her down within her marriage.

Once Mrs. Mallard came to the conclusion that she would be able to make a life for herself and have
her own individual impact on the world without a man and that was something her subconscious
desired. She realizes how she was actually not happy at all in her relationship an yet she loved him
sometimes. Often she did not . This is a key moment in Mrs. Mallards life, because this is where she
comes to the realization that she has more to offer in life and desires to be free. Chopin uses Mrs.
Mallard symbolically represents women during the depression and their desires to be free whether or
not the know if they do or not.
Chopin uses this line, a joy that kills , uses irony to demonstrate how the people around her do not
understand Mrs. Mallard. Again, Mrs. Mallard demonstrates women as a unit, and the people around
her symbolizes society. Ultimately women wish to be independent from men in society and have their

How Culture Affects Financial Reporting And Auditing With...
Abstract In today s society, the international trading constitutes an increasingly significant portion of
the world economy than ever before. Having opened more subsidiaries in different countries and
invested in foreign markets, companies and investors are more exposed to problems reading
accounting records and auditing reports composed under different accounting principles. To better
understand the reason behind the accounting diversity, we need to dig into countries different cultural
background which imposes great influence on formation of accounting and auditing principles and
ways people practice. This paper will analyze how culture affects financial reporting and auditing with
the support of classic culture theories and facts. Introduction International accounting, a term given
birth by modern society, is a concept which encompasses all function areas of various accounting
principles and practices followed by every nation in the world. The international accounting consists
of three different levels. First level is the supranational level which signifies principles, standards and
guidelines of accounting, auditing and taxation issued by supranational organizations such as UN,
OECD and IFA (International accounting, Timothy and Hector, 2011, P1). The second level is the
company level which denotes the principles and techniques that people follow to report transactions
and evaluate foreign companies performance. The third level, the broadest one, can be viewed as the

Technology Has Great Potential For Improving Animal...
Biosensor technology has great potential for improving animal welfare, health and production
efficiency. The recent increasing incidence of diseases, such as bovine spongiform encephalopathy
(BSE), tuberculosis, brucellosis, mastitis, and foot and mouth, has raised concern in the livestock
industry and in society. Infectious diseases of livestock have major implications not only in animal
welfare and production efficiency but also in human health, and food safety and quality.
Most biosensor developments have been in the biomedical field, where many in vivo applications
demand small sizes. But it is lacking adversely in the field of milking animals and other livestock. The
primary considerations of biosensors were the physical sensor design, fluid transport, optical sensor
configuration, fluid mixing, sampling of the raw milk, and automation. The ideal biosensor would be a
probe, similar to that found in a pH meter. Since the standard enzyme immunoassay identification of
progesterone (EIA) is currently performed and standardized using microtitre plates. This technique was
a starting point and need Ab raised against other innocent animals. Therefore there is an urgent need
for development of artificial and low cost recognition sites for progesterone detection.
Progesterone is known as a hormone of pregnancy . As in cyclic non pregnant animal, the
progesterone level in plasma and milk decreases during follicular phase, which usually commences 17

Literature Review On Easter Island
Easter Island has a unique history that outlines key theories of how man can have detrimental effects
on nature. With our beliefs, customs and general life needs, societies become dependent on our
environment and resources. This can result in an irreversible destruction of an environment and Easter
Island has proven this to be posable. With a society becoming hugely dependant on the limited
resources available and failure to understand the need to preserve these resources for future
generations caused immense pressure. The population confronted problems which they neglected to
address these issues where that start of a catastrophic population decline. Literature examining Easter

Due to Easter Island s location, the climate was considerably different to that of what the Rapa Nui
people were accustomed too. As a result of the unfamiliar climate conditions agriculture become
exceedingly difficult, because of the strong winds which brought with them disturbed salt spray,
cooler temperature and variation in rainfall (Hunt, 2006, p. 413) and (Wright, 2004, p. 59). These
factors constructed an environment that was not suitable for a variety of foods to be cultivated; this
added to the problems that the Rapa Nui people had to endure. Diamond (2005) also reiterates Wright
and Hunt s evidence supporting the same claim that Easter Island had geographical issues which
become challenging for the new settlers. However, their society thrived, with a population reaching
and possibly exceeding 15,000 (Hunt, 2006, p. 412). As the population grew so did the use of
resources Pakandam (2009) identity s how the Rapa Nui people begin to over exploit their resources
and underestimated the problems this would cause. The Rapa Nui people relied heavily on the islands
natural resources for their survival and for generations these resources continued to be consumed at a
depleting rate. Caswell (2008) points out how this civilisation was completely oblivious to the
destruction they were causing. They contributed to deforestation, stripping the soils of nutrients and

Acadia Research Paper
The Acadia, launched in 1913 out of Newcastle, England was the first vessel that was designed to
handle the cold, ice filled waters to specifically survey Canada s northern waters, such as the Hudson
Bay or the south shore of Novia Scotia. This ship helped pioneer hydrographic research by taking
measurements around Canada s Arctic waters at the beginning of her career. The last operation this
ship was used for was to chart the coast of Newfoundland, and these up to date charts replaced those
that were a hundred years old. The Acadia may have started as just a research vessel, but once war
came around it was adapted. From 1916 to 1919, she was a patrol and escort vessel; then in 1917 she

Analysis on the Shift of Business Strategy for Ge Into the...
Question 1: In what ways has Jeff Immelt redirected the strategy of GE?
In 2001, shortly after Jeff Immelt became the CEO of GE, a series of events changed and impacted the
corporate landscape. The immediate challenges that he faced included 9/11, and a subsequent series of
high profile corporate scandals (Enron, WorldCom). In 2008, the financial crisis hit and had a severe
impact on GE s primary growth source, GE Capital causing it to accumulate bad debts and asset write
downs. These events caused slow domestic economic growth, crisis of confidence among investors
and more global competitors.
Due to the change in environment and the need to adapt Immelt shifted the focus of GE from cost

At the heart of Immelt s growth strategy for General Electric s was the development of new Growth
Platforms, which could be either extensions of the existing businesses or entire new commercial areas.
Even though Immelts core focus was on organic growth, repositioning to take advantage of the
emerging market trends and opportunities would require acquisition. Then once a new Growth
Platform was identified, GE would build a leading position in those sectors through small strategic
acquisitions and the deployment of its financial, technical and managerial resources.
GE was entering a new generational era, one where technology is at the forefront of growth and
adaptation. Immelt identified Technology as one of GE s major drivers for future growth which was
signaled by his expansion of GE s R D budgets. He shifted the importance of Technology within GE
by focusing on the R D projects that offered large scale market potential, reffered to as Imagination
breakthroughs .
Within this new business environment that GE was facing, customers needs, wants and expectations of
what products can offer them is forever changing. Immelt saw and understood this from the amount of
time spent with customers, and implemented this idea within GE through the IT

Classical, Baroque, and Romantic Music Influence on Modern Genres
The Classical, Romantic and Baroque eras all influenced modern genres now a day. They are the

known as the Classical Symphony which was written in 20th century. It first public performance on
April 21, 1918 in Petrograd, conducted by Prokofiev himself.
Form and style of Sergei Prokofiev symphony No. 1 in D major
The symphony has four movements 1.Allegro; 2.Larghetto ; 3.Gavotta: Non troppo allegro; 4.Finale:
Molto vivace, but the piece only last around 15 minutes. The symphony was considered as one of the
first neoclassical compositions. Prokofiev was attempted to write in the style of Joseph Haydn in this
classical symphony. As we can see that the elements of the old and the new styles are mixed together,
and became a new piece with galant style , simple but elegance.
Haydn s style of Music in Prokofiev s Symphony
Prokofiev imitated Haydn style of music in his piece shows that the Baroque period is affecting the
music after 1950. The main characteristic of Haydn s music is a large piece with short and simple
motifs, with standard accompanying figures. The music is often quite formally concentrated, and the
important musical events of a movement can be played more quicker than normal. Which is one of the
element from Prokofiev s Symphony No.1 in the 1st and last movement. Another common
compositional form that Haydn normally uses is Sonata from, which is also used in Prokofiev s

One Chinese thinker, Zhang Weiying, formulated the idea of dual track pricing with introducing an
allegory, called the village of zebras . In the story of the allegory, elders in a village argued endlessly
that their village s horses were better than the neighboring zebras. However, they found out that the
zebras were actually superior to their horses. Realizing the reality, the elders confronted and worried
about one problem; their villagers were too accustomed to the horses, resulting from the previous
elders argument, so that embracing the zebras would be difficult for them. Hence, the elders created a
plan; they painted their horses with strips every night while other villagers were sleeping. When
villagers found out and shocked about the zebras, the elders assured that those zebras were actually
their own horses that were painted with stripes. Finally, all the villagers became accustomed with the
zebras; the replacement was successful. By implying this allegory, Weiying argued that dual track
pricing would help to promote China s economic growth without implementing new idea suddenly.
Dual track pricing is an idea that publishes market prices and state controlled prices simultaneously.
Increasing the ratio of the market prices, the state controlled prices could be replaced. Accordingly,
most Chinese thinkers advocated that the gradual change would work more appropriately and
effectively than the sudden change for the economic

ABSTRACT
The vision of the Semantic Web promises a kind Machine Intelligence, which can support a verity of
user tasks like improved search engine or Question Answering (QA). Ontologies are needed for
realization of the semantic web, which in turn depends on the ability of system to identify and take
advantage of relationships that exist between and within ontologies. There are huge numbers of
ontologies present on the web they need to be integrated for data integration. These ontologies are
having different in representation, quality of data and larger sizes of ontologies, this lead to be
problem during ontology mapping, on analyzing these problems and to introduce Multiagent mapping
system. Main aim is to achieve heterogeneous data integration through semantic mapping of

Heroes Of The Enlightenment Analysis
In the video Heroes of the Enlightenment by Humanist Society of Australia Inc, the author explains
how during the seventeenth and eighteenth century European philosophy, science and politics were
reoriented as part of a movement known as the Age of Enlightenment. The objective of the
Enlightenment was to inform the public, aiming to persuade others about the main hero s ideas within
that era. As well as, how they shaped the world that we live in today.
The first hero of the enlightenment was Isaac Newton who was an innovator of modern science, and
he founded the theory of gravity. He believed knowledge was not only written in the bible but also
about observing what happens in our surroundings. Newton conceived gravity by watching an apple
that was falling from a tree. Where other people would see just an apple falling, Newton had seen
universal forces that were in action. Newton believed that God set up the universe in its eternal state.

Persuasive Essay On Women In The Military
Did you know that women could be drafted to combat? I believe that women should all get the chance
to fight if they want to. There are tons of women that are in combat. They all join for different reasons,
some join just to see what it s like, and some join because they want to represent their country. During
the Civil War more than 400 women went into the army disguising themselves as men, just do that
they could fight in the war. If women can dress up as men and go to war and fight for our country then
i feel like we should give them the right to do it. In 2011 there was about 203,000 women in the
United States Military. Some people think that women aren t capable of doing it, or that she won t be
able to do it. Women going into the combat know that it is not an easy thing and are up to the
challenge. But to me I think that if she thinks she can do it and is up for the challenge that we should
believe that she can doing it to. In 1948 President Truman helped make a separate military service for
women. If a women can show that she is capable in a boot camp then why shouldn t she be able to
fight for our country.
For women to be in the Military it might be tougher meaning guys naturally have more muscle, but if
a women had their mindset on doing it, no one should tell her that is isn t allowed to because she isn t
a guy. Today women have so much more freedom than what they used to have. Many people think that
women won t be aggressive during the war and that s why they should not be able to be a part of
something as great as it. I think that women will be aggressive when it comes to the real fight because
they know that if they don t they could most likely be killed. Going into the military women know that
they have a chance of not coming out. Solveig Krey was the first woman commander of a Norwegian
submarine in 1995. For years women have been filling in combat roles. After being in the war and
killing another human being those images stay in your head, or well for Leigh Ann Hester, she still
thinks about it every single day. March of 2005 Hester s Kentucky National Guard Military Police

Crossing Brooklyn Ferry Essay
Crossing Brooklyn Ferry, by Walt Whitman, is a poem about a man who takes the Brooklyn ferry
home after his work day. At first glance one may say How can this long poem really be about a ferry?
Once you get reading you realized there is much more to it then riding the Brooklyn Ferry. This poem
deals with the idea that all humans are united in the harmonies of life because we all share the same
land. This poem describes the relationship between human beings. The poem is describing how he
believes that people see the same things he does and feels the same things he does while on the Ferry.
Since they do experience the same things, this makes them come together because they must react in
the same ways. He is implying that the ferry is connecting humanity because they all witness the same
things while riding it. Throughout the poem the speaker shifts who he is addressing. It goes from the
crowd, to the second person, to then addressing the commuters on the ferry, and then to everyone who
has every rode the ferry, and then to everyone that has ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Monkey Wrench Gang Summary Essay
The Monkey Wrench Gang
By Edward Abbey
I read The Monkey Wrench Gang by Edward Abbey. The book is 421 pages, and was published by
Lippincott Williams amp;Wilkins in 1975. It is a fictional story about a group of four people who
meet, and all want the same thing. To stop development on America s southwest.
Edward Abbey s purpose in writing this book was to raise awareness about what is happening to, quite
literally, our back yard. This book takes place in the southern Utah and Arizona, and is told in 3rd
person, but not following any one specific character. It switches which character you are following

Hayduke used the winch on his Jeep to lower himself and his Truck off the overhanging cliff. Towards
the end of the book, Forest rangers arrest a sleepy Seldom Seen Smith because he stole some camper s

over a huge flood happening in the river below, and Love, as well as a bunch of police had him pinned
down. Hayduke hid out in a crevice for over 6 hours while Love and his men waited for him to
surrender, or shoot. Eventually they see what they think is Rudolf the Red emerging from the crevice
with a rifle and they all open fire. What they believe to be Rudolf is literally pushed of the edge with
the bullets and never found. In the last chapter, the rest of the gang is playing a poker game when Doc
Sarvis gets an unexpected visit from Hayduke, who somehow survived, and wants to finish their initial
job, destroying Glen Canyon dam.
I believe that Abbey did achieve his purpose with this writing. The book has so much emotion, and
detail about the beauty of this place that it s hard to think that he didn t. The book was very interesting,
as well as powerful. It was a difficult read at times, but it kept me interested and wanting to read. A

International banks would decrease in size due to the lowered flow of U.S. dollars and reduce the
chances for poor investments. The other two scenarios result in a continued global crisis, as countries
such as China may remain focused on exports and foreign investors holding the U.S. dollar may lose
confidence in the American financial system causing a rise in the cost of capital. These situations are
likely based on the Triffin dilemma, or the loss of confidence in the American dollar. According to
Ahamed, The risk of such a situation is clearly on the minds of Chinese policy makers. Zhou

Deardorff (2001) stated that, direct foreign investments refer to the particular countries and kinds of
countries toward which a country s exports are sent, and from which its imports are brought, in
contrast to the commodity composition of its exports and imports. Besides, direct foreign investments
also can be defined as the situation in which a foreign investor owns10% or more of the ordinary
shares or voting power of a local company. Thus, the pattern that the direct foreign investments follow
is that of a bilateral trade.

accountable for how we are using His resources motivate us to develop a robust biblical finance plan
that integrates spending, risk management, and investment to reach our desired life goals. My
financial plan will include three main sections, money management section, risk management section,

our goals that are related to our financial lifestyle, which include securing our family s future
spiritually and financially. We want to increase our giving and give generously to create a healthier
and safer world. We want to give $10,000 to do something for the orphans in Egypt. Financially, we

How Does The Statue Of Liberty Benefit The Economy
The Statue of Liberty, located in New York city, NY, has represented America as a free country for
years, but it is now threatened by deterioration. Lady Liberty is symbolic to millions and helps
America s economy, so it is time for us to return the favor and work to preserve it. Losing the Statue
of Liberty would mean losing the benefit that it gives to America s economy. Lady Liberty benefits the
economy by generating employment options. The statue supports more than 2,000 jobs, as mentioned
on Cnn.com. All of these jobs would be lost if Lady Liberty wore down, whereas more occupations
would be created if construction began on the statue. The Statue of Liberty also provides money for
America. Cnn.com states Liberty Island generates nearly 200 million dollars each year. This money
comes from tours, ferry rides, restaurants, hotels, et cetera. Over time, the expense it would take to
preserve the statue could be made back through the money it brings in. We clearly cannot afford to
allow the Statue of Liberty to deteriorate. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

worry was relieved when they saw Lady Liberty, promising freedom success. If the Statue of Liberty

Greenland Norse Collapse
The Choices Societies Make and the Challenges Surrounding Them The choices the Greenland Norse,
the people of Easter Island, and the people of Haiti made directly contributed to their societal collapse.
Their environmental fragility advanced their downfall, but ultimately their poor decision making led
to their collapse. The Greenland Norse s and people of Easter Island s incorrect choices were mostly
due to social challenges and reluctance to abandon traditions, but the incorrect choices of the Haitian
people were due to selfness and impulsiveness. The Greenland Norse are an excellent example of a
society that has collapsed because of the choices they have made, but they also serve as an example of
a society who suffered great challenges when considering these alternative solutions. In particular, the
Greenland Norse s lack of adaptability in the decision s they favored regarding hunting, livestock, the
relationship with the Inuit, and the need for European identity drove their society to a collapse. The
Norse came to Greenland with traditional hunting and livestock customs such as growing hay to feed
their large number of livestock. They practically ignored all other types of hunting that would have

The separation the Haitian elite enacted and the poor judgment regarding the removal of the white
population in Haiti were two detrimental choices the Haitian people made. The majority of the Haitian
people did not make the first flawed choice. Much like the Greenland Norse, the wealthier citizens of

Sir Thomas Malory s Nobility Essay
Nobility in the medieval time shad unquestionable value attached to it. Majority of the nobles lived
their lives in luxury and were rich beyond the common man s wildest dreams. The thought of the
medieval knights often brings nobility in mind, hence the question whether knights had to emanate
from the noble class. Exemplary works by Sir Thomas Malory (1408 1471) recount the marvelous
adventures of chivalrous, heroic knights of super human ability. The knights, abiding by the chivalry s
strict codes of honor and demeanor went on quests to fight and defeat monsters and giants, thereby
winning favor with a lady. Chivalry simply means having the skills to handle a horse. This ability,
especially in combat, was of utmost importance to a medieval knight. This term began to take on new
meanings, especially during the first crusade (1095 AD) when Christianization of knights began in
earnest. The ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Sir Kay illustrates this at the start of this tale, where he chastises Beaumains (Sir Gareth) by saying
were he of noble birth he would have asked for a horse and armor. No! He is nothing but a great loafer
born of serving wench. Thus, by disregarding Beaumains potential, Sir Kay clarifies his position on
knighthood. Through his statement, Sir Kay effectively equates knighthood with nobility from birth.
As such Sir Kay doubts Beaumains to the extent of challenging him to combat. Subsequently,
Beaumains swiftly defeats Sir Kay even though unarmed with neither a spear nor a shield. Beaumains
there after give sout Sir Kay s symbol of knighthood (his horse) to his dwarf implying that the dwarf
would have become a better knight than Sir Kay. These developments reduced Sir Kay to a lowly,
laughable knight of little significance. Sir Kay is demeaned in this manner and as such Malory
effectively shows that Sir Kay is wrong on the noble and essential qualities a

The Chicano Movement By Frank Romero
Throughout history, art has helped in different mediums to bring awareness to different issues and
constructive messages to society. The Chicano movement started in the 1960s; the public wanted to
repair social injustice. The Chicano movement encompassed a broad section of issues; from
restoration of lands, to farm workers rights, to enhance education, to voting and political rights. At this
moment many individuals were trying different ways to express their views and one of those ways
was art. In the early years of the Chicano movement, Frank Romero established a reputation as one of
the Chicano art heroes. Through murals Frank Romero expressed his thoughts and embodied a
Chicano identity. His murals would not only connect with Mexicans, but with everyone. In his
painting or art Romero would usually show everyday events in different views, opening the eyes of
the viewer. Romero s art would come out strong. Although Romero gained his fame with his murals,
he is amazing in drawing, painting, ceramics, and sculptures. He is not just a remarkable Chicano
artist, but an astonishing artist around the world.
Frank Romero was born in 1941 in Los Angeles, California. He was raised in a culturally mixed,
middle class community and was well into his career when he identified himself as a Latino artist.
During the height of the Chicano movement in the early 1970s, he and other artists founded a group
named Los Four. The group originally consisted of Roberto de la Rocha, Gilbert

CHAPTER 2
EXPERIMENTAL TECHNIQUES FOR THE SYNTHESIS AND CHARACTERIZATION OF
NANOMATERIALS.
In order to explore novel physical properties and phenomena and realize potential applications of
nanostructures and nanomaterials, the ability to fabricate and process nanomaterials and
nanostructures is the first corner stone in nanotechnology. There exist a number of methods to
synthesize the nanomaterials, which are categorized in two techniques top down and bottom up . Solid
state route, ball milling comes in the category of top down approach, while wet chemical routes like
sol gel, co precipitation, etc. come in the category of bottom up approach. Secondly, characterization
of nanomaterials is necessary to analyze their various properties. Therefore, this chapter describes the
various methods of synthesis and characterization of nanomaterials. Characterization techniques
include XRD, SEM, TEM, EDAX, UV Visible spectroscopy, FTIR spectroscopy, etc.
2.2. Synthesis of Nanomaterials:
Fabrication of nanomaterials with strict control over size, shape, and crystalline structure has become
very important for the applications of nanotechnology in numerous fields including catalysis,
medicine, and electronics. Synthesis methods for nanoparticles are typically grouped into two
categories: top down and bottom up approach. The first involves the division of a massive solid into
smaller and smaller portions, successively reaching to nanometer size. This approach may involve

Between Traditions And Modernity By Neil Gaiman
Between Traditions and Modernity: The new identity parameters
In modern societies the countless traditions and beliefs as a result of the transmission of concepts from
generation to generations coexist with the tendencies generate for the conditions of life imposed by
modernity. This cultural phenomenon is not unfamiliar to American society, and the general idea of
Neil Gaiman in American Gods in his work is to show that reality through his writing. In his book,
while the lector read about the American culture and the current situation in the modern society, arise
the necessity of thinking over the loss of cultural values and social roots transmitted from ancestors,
and those that all human beings have adopted over their existence. Through time, people have
followed gods, ideas, or things that embody perfection and a model of what they should be. Humans
had worshiped them as a result of a voluntary surrender or the social pressure. However, at the same
time and increasingly more frequent their minds had been captivated and they have given time and
efforts into activities and desires which have become the current ideals. They have come into their
lives unnoticed, but with such force to the point that they dominate their existence without being
aware of them.
The author s work raises the life situations of foreign gods brought to America, represented as normal
people in everyday situations, suffering neglect they have felt over the years due to the transformation

Crime And Punishment In The Middle Ages
The purpose of this essay is to analyze what crime and punishment was like during the middle ages
and early modern world. In the middle ages, which started from the 5th century all the way through to
the 15th century, and through early modern time which was between 15th century to around the late
18th century, crime and punishment started to differ from what it did in the past. In the preceding
years crime and punishment would be formed around cultural beliefs or by what a ruler thought was
acceptable and also revolved around Roman Churches which was now being replaced by Germanic
people. Now it has changed in to more of a law and church, concept and in addition to that the renewal
of the penitentiary system.
To begin with, the middle ages of crime and punishment in western Europe, which was stated above
ranged from the time of the 5th century through the 15 century, was acknowledged for feudalist ideas.

1862, Generals Robert E. Lee and George McClellan faced off near Antietam creek in Sharpsburg,

General Joseph Hooker s Union corps mounted a powerful assault on Lee s left flank that began the
Battle of Antietam, and the single bloodiest day in American military history. Repeated Union attacks,
and equally vicious Confederate counterattacks, swept back and forth across Miller s cornfield and the
West Woods.
Late in the day, Major. General Ambrose Burnside s corps pushed across a bullet strewn stone bridge
over Antietam Creek and with some difficulty managed to imperil the Confederate right. At a crucial
moment, A.P. Hill s division arrived from Harpers Ferry, and counterattacked, driving back Burnside
and saving the day for the Army of Northern Virginia.
During the night, both armies tended to their wounded and consolidated their lines. In spite of
crippling casualties, Lee continued to skirmish with McClellan on the 18th, while removing his
wounded south of the Potomac. McClellan, much to the chagrin of Abraham Lincoln, did not
vigorously pursue the wounded Confederate army. While the Battle of Antietam is considered a draw

Edict Of Mil A Roman Emperor From 306-337 Ad
Edict of Milan Constantine the Great was a Roman Emperor from 306 337 AD. He was a soldier who
arduously worked to climb through the ranks, working through a civil war to become emperor. He is
most famous for establishing a new capital where Byzantium once was, and named the new
establishment Constantinople. However, Constantine is most famous for becoming Roman Emperor
who converted to Christianity in his forties. His mother, Helen, was a Christian and ultimately decided
to convert after believing that the Christian god had helped him in his success though the war. He
enacted the Edict of Milan in the third century with his co emperor Licinius, and officially declared
Christianity legal. This document was one of the most significant and important writings of the time
because it declares that Christians could freely practice religion. This document ultimately opened up
many windows and opportunities for people to openly practice Christianity and prohibited people
being subject to persecution. When Constantine converted, he made the religion much more known
and a religion of the powerful. This made Christianity the official religion of the empire. Many
Christians opted for pacifism and martyrdom as a way to cope with their persecutors, but now
Christians had an access to armies, swords, and an endless supply of resources.
Many had issues with Christianity and believed that those who supported or practiced it should be
killed. The most known case is the emperor

Homeschooling Is The Issue Of Socialization
The term homeschooling refers to the practice of parents educating a child at home, rather than in a
conventional public or private school setting. These children would otherwise be enrolled in
elementary or secondary school. Homeschooling is seen in the United States today as a viable
alternative to public school education. According to widely repeated estimates, as many as two million
American children are schooled at home, with the number growing at 15 to 20 percent per year
(McDowell Ray 2000, Lines 2000). Despite the rising prevalence of the subject, we are left without
basic information on the nature of homeschooling in the United States. What motivations do parents
have for choosing homeschooling religion, concerns about school quality, or other motivations? What
are the limitations that these families face? Lastly, what strengths do these children exhibit with
homeschooling? The common argument in limitations of homeschooling is the issue of socialization
in homeschoolers development. The counter argument from homeschooling advocates is that
homeschooling does not mean a hermit like existence for the children. The idea is that social skills do
not have to be developed only with people who are the exact same age but experience of forming
meaningful relationships social skills will get solidified. Some families feel judged by making the
choice to homeschool even when it meets their child s needs, although today they are becoming more
mainstream ( Collom,

they will change a few words around to make it sound like their own words. The third type of

Compare And Contrast Arranged Marriage And Arranged Marriages
When you think of arranged marriages you will probably have an image of a 16th to 19th century
picture going on in your head since that s when it was really common and normalize back then, but
that s not always the case because even now in modern times arranged marriages are still practiced
throughout other places and countries such as India, Japan, and China. Some keep up these old
traditions for their religious beliefs and others for their own personal reasons. As we step into modern
times though, a new type of forming a relationship has had an uprising for the past decade or so which
has come to be known as online dating. Some may feel like online dating is different from arranged
marriages and in a way it is but in many ways, online dating and arranged marriages have the same
structure just with fewer people involved.
Arranged marriages viewed by people with American standards will probably feel like those involved
in an arranged marriage are being forced into something they have no say in because their parents
want to marry them off to some stranger and while that may be the case for some, not many involved
feel that way. What many people do however is confuse forced marriages and arranged marriages as
the same thing when that is not the case and those with negative feelings towards arranged marriages
will always see those two types of marriage as the same thing. Forced marriage is a marriage in which
one or more of the individuals is married without his or her consent

Rites Of Passage In Turyl Markham s Brothers Are The Same
Every person begins their life with birth and resolves with death, rites of passage help people feel

the Masai tribe, dreams of achieving manhood through the killing of a lion, nevertheless in doing so,
he must show wholly no signs of fear. Remarkably, throughout Temas s ordeal, he fears failure and

faces a difficult choice that will last a lifetime, and in the end, she chooses the right path and prevents
anyone to resolve the same mistake as a friend once made. Although Temas and Winnie face different
challenges from the influences being pushed upon them, both opt for decisions that change them each
into a superior version of themselves.

Factors That Influence Human Resource Management
UNIT 7 RESEARCH PAPER
The Factors that Influence Worker Motivation that are Under Manager s Control
Why compliance with Human Resource law is an important part of doing Business?
Define Human Resource Management
PROBLEM
What are the Factors that Influence a Worker s Motivation that can be Controlled by the Manager.
ANSWER
There are factors that exist in a company that can be controlled by the manager that directly affect the
level of motivation of the employees either negatively or positively.
1. Four Factors of Motivation Brian Tracy
According to Brian Tracy, there are Four main factors that managers can do to motivate anyone, in any
organization.
Leadership style. This is a key factor in determining how people feel about the company and how
motivated they are. The appropriate leadership style depends on the goals and objectives of the
organization, the people within the company, and the external environment.
The Reward system. If you want more of something in an organization, simply increase greater
rewards for that behavior. If you want less of an activity in an organization, simply reduce the rewards,
or increase the punishment or disapproval for that behavior. People respond to incentives.
Organizational climate. Is your company a great place to work ? The organizational climate is
deliberately created and maintained by management. It largely consists of the way that people treat
each other up and down the line. It starts at the top, with leaders who inspire and set the tone for the
rest of the organization.
The structure of the work. Some work is inherently motivational, requiring creativity, imagination, and
high levels of energy. Work that involves communicating, negotiating, and interacting with other
people in order to gain their cooperation to get the job done quickly and well brings out the best
energies of the individual.
2. Servant Leadership Theory: Development of the Servant Leadership Assessment Instrument R.
Dennis, L. Kinzler Norheim M. Bocarnea

Mia Hebib s piece, Irregularities , a set of stackable rings, is comparable to The Bobrinsky Bucket .
The Bobrinsky Bucket is a brass work and is augmented in a way that makes it a luxury object; two

inscriptions, in some spots, look like they are playing bat gammon, drinking, and playing music.
Another band contains an inscription that sends good wishes to the owner. This inscription is hard to
read because there are human and animals forms in this inscription. The third register is again, good
wishes. The last register is a bunch of horsemen hunting and fighting. On the rim of the bucket is
another inscription that says who ordered it and for who it was made and who made it. On the handle
it tells us that the vessel was made in 1163. This vessel would have been used for bathing in a

  • 3. A Christian Worldview On The World Through The Lens Of The... A Christian worldview would encompass the framework that we must view the world through the lens of the Bible. Human Nature: I have not given much thought as to identifying my Christian worldview on paper, and rarely have I given it much thought. To be a born again is to believe the Gospel of Jesus Christ one must take a stand for the fundamental principles of the Gospel. Those principles include belief in God as the creator of the universe and all that are on the earth and Jesus Christ as the Son of God who came to save the world from sin and redeem us back to God. The absolute truth that Jesus Christ was born of a virgin, lived, died on the cross for all mankind for the sins both seen and unseen, and rose from the grave on the third day, who has now has ascended to heaven. He will return to take us back to the place that he has prepared for the bride to come and live with him in eternity. God the Father is the Absolute, Sovereign, eternal God who has no beginning and no end, who moves in and out of time to have interaction at his will with the children of men. The scripture is viewed as the infallible Word of God and they were written by men of old who were inspired by God. Therefore, the Christian worldview that I ascribe to are the ones that I have previously noted. Now there are those who would question or disagree with my next principle, however, I feel that a Christian should possess this nature as well. Opression Of Women In The Story Of An Hour In the short story, The Story of an Hour by Kate Chopin, the main character receives depressing news that her husband was involved in a deadly train accident. Initially, Mrs. Mallard falls into shock and has the normal feelings anyone would have when losing a loved one; such as depression, denial, anger, etc. Wanting to escape this cruel reality she locks herself in her room and begins to process these emotions. She described this possession of self assertion which she suddenly recognize as the strongest impulse of her being... [she thought this as she whispered] free! Body and soul free! . After doing so, she becomes aware of the fact that she is ultimately relieved to be free from the chain that held her down within her marriage. When Mrs. Mallard escapes to the tranquility of her room to be alone with her emotions, her eyes catch the view outside her ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Once Mrs. Mallard came to the conclusion that she would be able to make a life for herself and have her own individual impact on the world without a man and that was something her subconscious desired. She realizes how she was actually not happy at all in her relationship an yet she loved him sometimes. Often she did not . This is a key moment in Mrs. Mallards life, because this is where she comes to the realization that she has more to offer in life and desires to be free. Chopin uses Mrs. Mallard symbolically represents women during the depression and their desires to be free whether or not the know if they do or not. Chopin uses this line, a joy that kills , uses irony to demonstrate how the people around her do not understand Mrs. Mallard. Again, Mrs. Mallard demonstrates women as a unit, and the people around her symbolizes society. Ultimately women wish to be independent from men in society and have their own ... • 6. Technology Has Great Potential For Improving Animal... Biosensor technology has great potential for improving animal welfare, health and production efficiency. The recent increasing incidence of diseases, such as bovine spongiform encephalopathy (BSE), tuberculosis, brucellosis, mastitis, and foot and mouth, has raised concern in the livestock industry and in society. Infectious diseases of livestock have major implications not only in animal welfare and production efficiency but also in human health, and food safety and quality. Most biosensor developments have been in the biomedical field, where many in vivo applications demand small sizes. But it is lacking adversely in the field of milking animals and other livestock. The primary considerations of biosensors were the physical sensor design, fluid transport, optical sensor configuration, fluid mixing, sampling of the raw milk, and automation. The ideal biosensor would be a probe, similar to that found in a pH meter. These factors constructed an environment that was not suitable for a variety of foods to be cultivated; this added to the problems that the Rapa Nui people had to endure. Diamond (2005) also reiterates Wright and Hunt s evidence supporting the same claim that Easter Island had geographical issues which become challenging for the new settlers. However, their society thrived, with a population reaching and possibly exceeding 15,000 (Hunt, 2006, p. 412). As the population grew so did the use of resources Pakandam (2009) identity s how the Rapa Nui people begin to over exploit their resources and underestimated the problems this would cause. The Rapa Nui people relied heavily on the islands natural resources for their survival and for generations these resources continued to be consumed at a depleting rate. In the story of the allegory, elders in a village argued endlessly that their village s horses were better than the neighboring zebras. However, they found out that the zebras were actually superior to their horses. Realizing the reality, the elders confronted and worried about one problem; their villagers were too accustomed to the horses, resulting from the previous elders argument, so that embracing the zebras would be difficult for them. Hence, the elders created a plan; they painted their horses with strips every night while other villagers were sleeping. When villagers found out and shocked about the zebras, the elders assured that those zebras were actually their own horses that were painted with stripes. Finally, all the villagers became accustomed with the zebras; the replacement was successful. By implying this allegory, Weiying argued that dual track pricing would help to promote China s economic growth without implementing new idea suddenly. Dual track pricing is an idea that publishes market prices and state controlled prices simultaneously. Increasing the ratio of the market prices, the state controlled prices could be replaced. • 16. Persuasive Essay On Women In The Military Did you know that women could be drafted to combat? I believe that women should all get the chance to fight if they want to. There are tons of women that are in combat. They all join for different reasons, some join just to see what it s like, and some join because they want to represent their country. During the Civil War more than 400 women went into the army disguising themselves as men, just do that they could fight in the war. If women can dress up as men and go to war and fight for our country then i feel like we should give them the right to do it. In 2011 there was about 203,000 women in the United States Military. Some people think that women aren t capable of doing it, or that she won t be able to do it. Women going into the combat know that it is not an easy thing and are up to the challenge. But to me I think that if she thinks she can do it and is up for the challenge that we should believe that she can doing it to. In 1948 President Truman helped make a separate military service for women. If a women can show that she is capable in a boot camp then why shouldn t she be able to fight for our country. For women to be in the Military it might be tougher meaning guys naturally have more muscle, but if a women had their mindset on doing it, no one should tell her that is isn t allowed to because she isn t a guy. Today women have so much more freedom than what they used to have. Many people think that women won t be aggressive during the war and that s why they should not be able to be a part of something as great as it. I think that women will be aggressive when it comes to the real fight because they know that if they don t they could most likely be killed. Going into the military women know that they have a chance of not coming out. Solveig Krey was the first woman commander of a Norwegian submarine in 1995. For years women have been filling in combat roles. General Joseph Hooker s Union corps mounted a powerful assault on Lee s left flank that began the Battle of Antietam, and the single bloodiest day in American military history. Repeated Union attacks, and equally vicious Confederate counterattacks, swept back and forth across Miller s cornfield and the West Woods. Late in the day, Major. General Ambrose Burnside s corps pushed across a bullet strewn stone bridge over Antietam Creek and with some difficulty managed to imperil the Confederate right. At a crucial moment, A.P. Hill s division arrived from Harpers Ferry, and counterattacked, driving back Burnside and saving the day for the Army of Northern Virginia. During the night, both armies tended to their wounded and consolidated their lines. In spite of crippling casualties, Lee continued to skirmish with McClellan on the 18th, while removing his wounded south of the Potomac. McClellan, much to the chagrin of Abraham Lincoln, did not vigorously pursue the wounded Confederate army. • 32. Homeschooling Is The Issue Of Socialization The term homeschooling refers to the practice of parents educating a child at home, rather than in a conventional public or private school setting. These children would otherwise be enrolled in elementary or secondary school. Homeschooling is seen in the United States today as a viable alternative to public school education. According to widely repeated estimates, as many as two million American children are schooled at home, with the number growing at 15 to 20 percent per year (McDowell Ray 2000, Lines 2000). Despite the rising prevalence of the subject, we are left without basic information on the nature of homeschooling in the United States. What motivations do parents have for choosing homeschooling religion, concerns about school quality, or other motivations? What are the limitations that these families face? Lastly, what strengths do these children exhibit with homeschooling? The common argument in limitations of homeschooling is the issue of socialization in homeschoolers development. The counter argument from homeschooling advocates is that homeschooling does not mean a hermit like existence for the children. The idea is that social skills do not have to be developed only with people who are the exact same age but experience of forming meaningful relationships social skills will get solidified. Some families feel judged by making the choice to homeschool even when it meets their child s needs, although today they are becoming more mainstream ( Collom, ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Compare And Contrast Arranged Marriage And Arranged Marriages When you think of arranged marriages you will probably have an image of a 16th to 19th century picture going on in your head since that s when it was really common and normalize back then, but that s not always the case because even now in modern times arranged marriages are still practiced throughout other places and countries such as India, Japan, and China. Some keep up these old traditions for their religious beliefs and others for their own personal reasons. As we step into modern times though, a new type of forming a relationship has had an uprising for the past decade or so which has come to be known as online dating. Some may feel like online dating is different from arranged marriages and in a way it is but in many ways, online dating and arranged marriages have the same structure just with fewer people involved. Arranged marriages viewed by people with American standards will probably feel like those involved in an arranged marriage are being forced into something they have no say in because their parents want to marry them off to some stranger and while that may be the case for some, not many involved feel that way. What many people do however is confuse forced marriages and arranged marriages as the same thing when that is not the case and those with negative feelings towards arranged marriages will always see those two types of marriage as the same thing.
