Rebirth Is A Sci Fi Thriller
REBIRTH is a sci fi thriller that offers a visionary and cautionary new world. The script nicely
poses the question about the advancement of technology and medicine. The hero questions the
morality of living life with out defects or the need to procreate. It s a compelling question to
examine.
The idea of searching for a new planet has merit. The idea of finding an abandoned spacecraft and
trying to put the pieces together of what happened to the ship also is engaging. There s a ticking
clock tension to get home or to get to the new planet.
The script is driven by the theme of second chances. It also examines the man vs. machine premise.
Ironically, due to social engineering, the humans have become more robot like, suppressing their
emotions, while the android featured in the script, is almost more human than the real humans. It s a
clever contradiction.
While the script has definite strengths, the overall script would benefit from more development to
build upon those strengths.
One area that would benefit from more development is the structure and pace. It s crucial to
immediately engage and grab the audience, especially in the first ten pages. The current first ten
pages of the script feels slow. It introduces the characters, but nothing exciting happens to
immediately draw the audience into the plot. It s not until around pages 16 or 17 that they find the
planet and this perks our interest.
The fire is the major inciting event that traps the crew in a strong dilemma.

The Role Of Schizophrenia In Shakespeare s Hamlet
My greatest fear is this brain of mine..The worst thing imaginable is to be terrified of one s own
mind, the very matter that controls all that we are and all that we do and feel (Torrey). E. Fuller
Torrey, M.D wrote a book to help the parents and families of people who suffer from schizophrenia
disorders and those alike. According to many doctors who are specialist like Torrey, schizophrenia
disorders are held on a spectrum and hold different subtypes of schizophrenia. Schizophrenia can
take control over a person s life and mind in some of the worst ways possible. In Shakespeare s
Hamlet, Hamlet s biggest adversity is his own mind. Hamlet shows symptoms of Schizoaffective
disorder, a subtype of schizophrenia that causes delusions and severe depression. Hamlet shows
symptoms of schizoaffective disorder through his delusions of conversations with his dead father
and his severe depression over his father s death and mother s remarriage throughout the play.

A main cause of schizoaffective disorder can be stress. Stress of a family member dying or a
marriage ending. We see many of these symptoms affecting Hamlet throughout the play. Hamlet is
at the age for when schizophrenia disorders can start developing in men. Males tend to experience
the first symptoms of schizophrenia somewhere between the ages of 15 and 25 years old
(SchizLife). Hamlet s symptoms would get worse and worse then he would be fine, linking him to
a mood altering mental illness. Hamlet s schizophrenia resulted from his father s death and his
mother s remarriage to Claudius, his uncle. In order to be diagnosed with schizoaffective disorder
two or more symptoms must be present. Hamlet shows all of the symptoms above, including
hallucinations through seeing his father s

Machiavelli s Flaws In The Prince
his work, The Prince, Machiavelli references dozens of infamous men and women who are leaders
and rulers in their own right. However, he recognizes them for many failures rather than for their
successes and conquests. Machiavelli attributes the failure and blame entirely to the fact that none
of the mentioned individuals properly adhered to his rules . Machiavelli meticulously describes and
outlines his ideas of what essential Prince qualities are, hoping that someone who reads them will
follow his words and turn them into actions. A careful audience who reads the meaning and not just
the content will see that The Princeis simply Machiavelli carrying out his plan by covertly doing
everything he describes in his outline. That is what makes it quite clear that Machiavelli himself is...

Machiavelli is not only the Prince but is drawing a comparison of himself to God. He is the
source of the reader s lawgiving to others by implementing new modes and orders via the person
or people who follows his word. He also mentions that Moses had so great a teacher (23). The
teacher in this case would be Machiavelli. In chapter 26 it is mentioned that Moses greatness
came as a resolution to tragedy, those enslaved in Egypt (102). That can be compared to the
conflicts going in Italy during his time, and is Machiavelli compelling another to show greatness
if they follow his orders and fix the problem. The audience, if following his advice, is
comparable to Moses due to the lack of greatness that is actually brought upon by their own doing.
Machiavelli stresses the importance of the Prince getting someone else to do their dirty deeds for
them. This is exactly what the purpose of The Prince was, to get another person to take these
words of wisdom and execute them without any blood on Machiavelli s

Genocide In South Africa
While the ecumenical church was focused on preventing a post World War apocalypse, they were
neglecting a cultural genocide in South Africa. From 1948 through 1994, a legal division of white
and blacks took place. Apartheid, literally meaning a state of being apart , was racial segregation
instituted by the National Party that kept a minority white population in power over the
predominant black indigenous population.
This all originated during the Transatlantic Slave Trade during the seventeenth and eighteenth
centuries. The West Indies Company, a subsidiary of the Netherlands (the Dutch Reformed Church
being the State Church) had a colony in South Africa and when the slave trade ended, the Dutch
offered up South Africa to all of the displaced ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
One of the church leaders who spearheaded the campaign to end the apartheid was Bishop
Desmond Tutu. Bishop Tutu called for the united church to be in solidarity with the voiceless in
South Africa. If the blacks voice was taken from them, the church would become their voice. But
this voice would not just demand peace, it would enact it. Desmond Tutu called upon the WCC to
form an ecumenical voice within South Africa. The South African Council of Churches (SACC)
was formed and became the voice of popular resistance that challenged the legitimacy of the
apartheid state. The Kairos Document, a critique of state theology, pronounced in 1985 that the day
of judgement had come for apartheid and that Christians must quite simply participate in the
struggle for liberation . The WCC assisted in Bishop Tutu in countless protest marches and global
awareness. Desmond Tutu s approach to ending the apartheid revolved around excluding the evil
before embracing reconciliation. The South African Commission for Truth and Reconciliation was
created to do this very

Case Study Of Senator Sanders
TAIWO OLADUNNI. The two potential reasons why Senator Sanders supports increasing top
tax rates is so as discourage greed which is broadly defined as extracting income at the expense
of the rest of the economy as opposed to real productive behavior. This plan would result in an all
in tax rate of over 65% on income between $500,000 and $2 million which would definitely push
rates near the revenue maximizing level. Mr. Sanders tends on counting on those high incomes to
generate the high receipts needed to fund his single payer health plan which is a problem. The other
reason is that higher taxrates on the highest earners can generate revenue to pay for new programs,
and they can encourage a more equal distribution of pretax income

Describe The Fynbos Biome
The Fynbos biome is the name given to the indigenous vegetation that puts the garden. Many
plants that are popular worldwide today had their origins in the fynbos biome. Many fynbos
species are typically confined to acidic nutrient poor sandstone soils. Fynbos is the name given to a
type of vegetation. It is a shrubby, hard leaved, evergreen type of vegetation. Fynbosis characterized
by the presence of reed like plants. Fynbos makes up sixty seven percent of the fynbos biome. It is
the vegetation that gives the Cape region most of it s unique floristic characteristics. The Fynbos
Biome is exquisite, but fragile. From rugged mountain slope and rolling sandy dunes to marshy
plains, the fynbos biome is incredibly distinct. Fynbos biome is unique because it has adapted to
extreme conditions. Fynbos has the ability to withstand. Although it contains by far the greatest
number of species and has the highest levels of endemism. Fynbos biome includes three major
vegetation formations largely confined to the nutrient poor soils, it has the highest number of rare
and endangered taxa. .
The intervals between fires must allow the slowest growing plant to flower at least three successive
seasons. The fynbos is located in the winter rainfall region. Fynbos growth take place during winter

The Traditional Global Environment Evolved Into The Modern...
Question 1: Starting in 1900, the traditional global environment evolved into the modern global
system. As international relations scholars have attempted to examine and explain this change, six
worldviews have emerged. These are Realism, Liberalism, Idealism, Neo Marxism, Constructivism,
and Feminism. In an essay format answer, you are to discuss the main characteristics of each
worldview. One of the peculiarities of research of international relations is the variety of conceptual
constructions and competing theoretical approaches. This leads to the fact that an important
epistemological issue of research on international relations is the problem of classification and
typology of existing theories. Political Realism is accurately and... Show more content on

The motive of international relations is the struggle of states to expand its influence in the
external environment (Kaarbo and Lee Ray, 7). According to liberalism, complex
interdependence between states plays a huge role for each state. Liberalism considers all
international organizations to be extremely important. Economics became more important than
military power (Kaarbo and Lee Ray,9). Thomas Woodrow Wilson was the representatives of
idealism. The basis of the idealism is a set of abstract ethical and legal ideals, norms, and criteria
(Kaarbo and Lee Ray, 12). The Key representatives of neo Marxism were Immanuel Wallerstein,
Andre Frank, Robert Cox. The world was divided not only by states, but also by more important
structural elements classes. The structure of the world economy is determined by the division of
all countries based on economic indicators in two parts: center and periphery (Kaarbo and Lee
Ray, 15). Constructivists believed that the focus of the theory should be directed to the study of
processes. The main task of the state is not confined to the issue of security. States may have long
term common interests and influence the international system. The interests of the state were
formed in the process of constructing . All subjects of a policy change in time and this creates a

Women s Health Assessment Part II
Women s Health Assessment Part II: Labor There are various stages of labor. According to
Chuma, Kihunrwa, Matovelo, and Mahendeka (2014) the initial stage of labor occurs at the onset
of cervical change to complete cervical dilatation, and is further divided into latent and active
phases (Chuma, Kihunrwa, Matovelo, Mahendeka, 2014). When the cervix starts to efface and
dilate up to 3cm, this is considered to be the latent phase. The active phase is declared when
cervical dilatation increases, and occurs from 4 cm to 10 cm (Chuma, Kihunrwa, Matovelo,

My Dream Short Story
Last night I had the craziest dream. I went to fell asleep while watching The Gift . It was around
midnight when I fell asleep and that is when my weird dream occurred. I arrived at the carnival
early in the evening. I purchased my ticket for the ferris wheel, along with my sister, Clara. We
proceeded to wait in line. The line was about a 2 hour wait. We waited in the line, which felt like
eternity. It was finally our turn. We had both stepped onto the ferris wheelwith caution. I had a bad
fearof heights and so did my sister. Clara set down her purple teddy bearnext to her that she had
just won in the ring toss. As the ferris wheel began to turn, I pulled out my polaroid camera to
take some pictures. I snapped a picture of Clara and I at the very top of the ferris wheel. The
picture came out of the camera and I shook it to get it to dry faster. It actually came out pretty
good. I slid the picture inside the pocket on the teddybears t shirt. The t shirt was a pretty baby
pink shirt with tiny white polka dots. Suddenly the ferris wheel to rock back and forth. Clara
and I started to panic. A man got on the loudspeaker We seem to be having some technical
difficulties, the ride will resume shortly. That is when I shot up out of bed heavily breathing and
sweating. That was a weird dream I said to myself. I got out of bed and started getting ready for
the day. My phone began to ring. It was my sister. I picked up my phone and I answered. Hello? .
Clara had just invited me to the carnival that is in town for the weekend. I agreed to go with her.
Later that day, I met up with her at the carnival. She embraced me in the biggest hug when I saw
her. I had not seen her in quite a while. We began walking around, talking and catching up. She
pointed to the giant ferris wheel, Lets go! I stopped in my tracks. I was a little scared because I
have a big fear of heights. She insisted I go with her. Sure, why not? I said. We waited in line which
did not take very long. We stepped onto the ferris wheel, as the man closed the door behind us, it
began to turn pretty quick. We got to the top of the ferris wheel and all of a sudden, it stopped. I
looked over at Clara. She had a worried look on her face. I didn t want to

Hopefully this will remind us to never return to our past. By reading this we will be reminded of
our past mistakes so we will be sure to never repeat them. By reading about katniss s bravery, we
can emulate it ourselves. It shows that one person really can make a difference. For example, in
the beginning Katniss was a scared girl and throughout the book you can slowly see her
changing into a fearless leader that is the influence of Panem. This just goes to show that one act
of bravery can go a very long way. In conclusion, these books all teach very different lessons
about life that will help better our society. These lessons of charity, generosity, hope, faith,
bravery will save us from the turmoil we are currently in. Books can heal, inspire hope, and save.
That is the ultimate goal of this project. We were told that books were once very common and
saved millions. So if that is true, then something in these three books has to have the power to
save all of us. These books will help rebuild our society, teach us about the beauty we failed to see,

Kneeling In The NFL Fans
Kneeling during the national anthem has gotten bigger than I would ever thought it could be. It
was 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick who started the trend last year to protest police
brutality. He first took a knee during the national anthem people thought he was the most
disrespectful person ever. Some fans boo d him when he came into stadiums, some even burned
his jersey. I find it hard to believe that people support the movement when other teams started to
do it but just last year they hated Colin for doing it. In week 4 of the NFL 2017 18 season teams
around the league decided to all link arms and kneel. It is crazy because teams never kneeled as
a whole until President Trump s incendiary comments. I wonder if he would have never came at
the NFL players would this deal have gotten this big. Fans had many different reactions to what
they have been doing. Some fans were with the movement and understood why the players were
kneeling, but some fans didn t care why they were kneeling. They thought it was the most
disrespectful thing to do. They thought it was showing that the players did not care that we
have troops over seas fighting to keep america free, so kneeling was a sign of disrespect to
everyone fighting for us. A few war veterans that attended the games that players took a knee at
took it as a punch in the face. Felt as what they did really didn t mean anything to those players
and felt really disappointed, but it was never aimed at the veterans it was all towards

College Athletes Should Not Be Exempt from Regular Class...
Many college athletes miss classes because of practice, competition and from exhaustion.
For those reasons, supporters argue for exemption of athletes from class attendance policies.
Others argue that college athletes are given scholarships to attend college to play sports. On the
contrary, the focus of colleges is educating students. The question is, should colleges athletes be
exempt from the class attendance requirements? The answer is no and here is why. First, the
education of athletes takes priority over recreational activities. Second, it is unfair for athletes to
receive preferential treatment. Third, exempting athletes from the policies does not allow them to
develop time management skills. For these reasons the college ... Show more content on

After all, athletes are not born they train hard to get their skills and do remarkably on the court. The
philosophy here is athletes must work equally hard in the classroom. (Emma) stated in A College
Perspective on Academic and the Student Athlete.
Coach Athletic Director As more eyes open to the athlete s challenges and struggles, more ideas and
strategies will emerge to help them succeed not only in between the lines of the playing field or
court, but in the lecture halls, science labs, and classrooms as well. Thus, education is a key
element that produces academic achievers, tomorrow s leaders and balance adults. Given these
points, the student athletes must recognize the importance class attendance.
For the longest time it has been known that student athletes often miss classes. Moreover, athlete
miss classes to attend practice, take part in competition and from exhaustion. Also, some athletes
are going to leave college early and enter professional sport. Consequently, they skip classes and
slide through college. Of course, colleges with attendance policies requires students to attend
classes a certain amount of time and so should the athletes. Whenever athletes miss classes their
academic performance is usually affected. As a matter of fact, it is difficult for them to keep up the
grades required for them to keep the scholarship reward and stay on the team. By the same token,

The Watsons Go To Birmingham-1963 By Christopher Paul...
There are some siblings that fight sometimes because of their differences, but they also have
similarities. The novel, The Watsons go to Birmingham 1963, by Christopher Paul Curtis is
about a black family called the Watsons who go on a trip from Flint, Michigan all the way to
Birmingham, Alabama to visit their relative. But they quickly learn that the rules in
Birmingham are a lot different than the ones in Flint. How this is connected is because the two
siblings, Kenny and Byron sometimes do fight a lot but then learn that while they do have
differences, they also have similarities as well. This essay will be about Byron and Kenny s
similarities and differences. One of the similarities that Byron and Kenny have are that they are
both protective. Byron shows this trait when he makes up stories to try to convince Kenny and
Joey to not do something dangerous like when he makes up the whole Wool Pooh story so
Kenny and Joey won t go swimming in a dangerous lake. Kenny also shows this trait when he
tries to tell Byron not to do something bad so he won t get into trouble. One other similarity is
mischievous. Byron shows this trait when he keeps playing pranks on Kenny and does other stuff
he s not supposed to do like dying his hair red. Kenny... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
One of these differences is that Kenny is smart and Byron is not so smart. Kenny shows this
trait when he reads to other classes higher than him even though he is in 2nd grade. Byron shows
his trait when he doesn t do as well as Kenny and he just happens to be in the same 5th grade class
that Kenny was reading to. One of the other differences is that Kenny is mature and Byron is
immature. Kenny shows that trait by not doing stuff he shouldn t be doing and doing the right
thing, but Byron does stuff he shouldn t be doing like dying his hair red and getting a conk. And
he sometimes disobeys his parents orders and talks back to them. There are some other differences

The Debate Of Embryonic Stem Cells
Embryonic stem cells have the ability to grow into any type of cell that your body contains and
can potentially aid in curing diseases and or repair many essential things in your body such as a
kidney or a lung. This sounds like an extremely favorable advantage to medical advancements
but this subject does summon some intense debates on where the stem cells come from.
Embryonic meaning that it comes from the embryo veers many people s opinion to totally
protest any use of embryonic stem cells. Opposing abortions and the use of embryonic stem
cells go hand in hand. Many people are just not ready for the responsibility of having a child so
they take matters into their own hands and many consider having an abortion. In the end
everyone takes their own decision and they fit it to what they feel is best for their lives. Many
people may see an abortion as killing an innocent life but people make their own decisions and no
one can stop them. Abortions are a solution to unprepared individuals that can not handle the
responsibility of having a child; why not use the cells from the procedure to save a life. Children
are wonderful gifts but some people are just not ready to take up the responsibility of raising that
gift so they can use that gift to help another needy life.
Embryonic stem cells could cure many things such as Alzheimer s disease, Parkinson s disease,
Diabetes, and many other things (Stem Cell Information). This category could broaden but how
will that ever be known

The Energy Of Energy Usage
Introduction
Historically, the distillation of alcohol (spirits, wine and vodka) has been a high end consumer in
terms of energy usage. According to U.S. Dept. of Energy, there are more than 40,000 distillation
columns in North America and they consume 40% of the total energy used to operate plants in
chemical industries [1]. As a result, researchers have focused their efforts towards developing
distillation columns that are more compact, utilize compressors to recirculate latent heat and
possess more effective separation technology in order to reduce energy consumption.
The principal topics of research that pose effective solutions to these present day energy challenges

quantity. There are also indirect benefits; a dividing wall column requires less plot area, shorter
piping, electrical runs and smaller storm runoff system [3]. When compared to a conventional two
column system, capital costs savings of up to 30% is typical [2]. In summary, fully thermally
coupled columns/configurations/ arrangements require less energy than conventional counterparts,
because of providing operating conditions that avoid or minimize entropy of mixing formation,
which in case of conventional configurations occurs, more or less pronounced, at the feed stage, the
ends of the columns, and due to remixing of internal flows [8].
Self Heat Recuperation Technology
In order to separate ethanol contents from water, enormous amounts of heat must be applied to the
azeotropic mixture during distillation. According to Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau,
an ethanol water mixture must be distilled at 78.3 degrees Celsius to reach the 80 proof content
level of standard vodka [9]. As a result, the heat needed to distill vodka creates the need to explore
sources of recycled energy. As investigated by Matsuda et al., self heat recuperation technology
utilizes not only latent heat but also the sensible

##gury Of Imagery InJuggler, By Richard Wilbur
In the poem, Juggler , Richard Wilbur reveals imagery, details and the tone in this poem about
the juggler. Imagery shows the readers exactly what the speaker is saying about the juggler and

the speaker describing the juggler. The readers can picture in their mind exactly what the juggler

The speaker using imagery in this poem reveals to us that the juggler is a talented individual.
Also, the narrator uses a lot of detail to describe what the juggler is doing. The readers can
picture in their head everything the juggler is doing because there s a lot of detail to back up the
imagery they see. He starts off juggling five red balls. He then switches to a plate, a broom and
a table. Landing it ball by ball, and trades it all for a broom, a plate, a table (lines 17 18). The
author uses detail to let the readers see what the juggler is doing. The author uses detail to show
the readers a clearer picture about the juggler and how talented he is. The speaker is amused by
the juggler s talent. The speaker reveals this by telling the readers in full detail about what the
juggler is doing in his show. This tells the readers that the speaker must like seeing talented
people perform. The way the speaker describes the juggle s abilities seems as if the juggler has
this mighty power worth calling entertainment. At the end of the poem he drops everything and
bows and then says good bye. Damn what a show, we cry: the boys stamp, and the girls shriek,
and the drum booms and all come down, and he bows and says good bye (line 24). The tone
describes the excitement of the speaker as well as the audience. At the beginning of the poem the
speaker was serious. A ball will bounce, but less and less. It s not

To A Mouse Analysis
The best laid schemes o mice an men, gang aft agley. Robert Burns states this in his famous
poem To a Mouse, this is believed to have influenced the title of the novel Of Mice and Men by
John Steinbeck. The reason this line from the poem influences the novel does not seem apparent
at first, but by the end of the novel it becomes clear. This novel focuses on two friends, Lennie
and George who are migrant workers in the 1930 s during the great depression. They move from
ranch to ranch with each other, which sets them apart from most because they have each other,
while the majority of migrant workers travel alone. George is a small man who is smart and
responsible, and takes care of Lennie. Lennie is a very large, strong, man, but he is very simple
minded, as he is a little mentally challenged. Although Lennie seems intimidating, he is a very nice
man and has the mentality of a child. The novel focuses on the dream that George and Lennie have
of getting their own farm. This is a very important component of the novel, because presumably, it
is the idea of George and Lennie s dream that inspired the novel s title. Steinbeck conveys the
message of Robert Burnspoem by showing how easily a dream or plan can be shattered.
George and Lennie talk about their dream of owning a farm near the beginning of the novel, so we
can assume that they have had this dream for quite some time, especially from the detail George
includes when telling Lennie about it. They want to have their

Brand Awareness Essay
2. Literature Review
Recently, brand equity has increasingly been defined in customer based contexts. It defines
brand equity as the value of a brand to the customer (Aaker, 1991; Keller, 1993) defines brand
equity as a set of brand assets and liabilities linked to a brand, its name and symbol that add to or
subtract from the value provided by a product or service to a firm and/or to that firms customers.
Brand awareness, brand associations, perceived quality, brand loyalty and other proprietary assets
were the five assets of brand equity. Keller (2003) argued that the power of a brand lies in the
minds of the customers and what they have experienced and learned about the brand over time. He

It is defined as an individual s ability to recall and recognize a brand (Aaker, 1996; Keller, 2003).
Top of mind and brand dominance is other levels of awareness included by Aaker (1996) in
measuring awareness. Awareness can affect customers perceptions, which lead to different brand
choice and even loyalty (Aaker, 1996). A brand with strong brand recall (unaided awareness) and
top of mind can affect customers perceptions, which lead to different customer choice inside a
product category (Aaker, 1996).
2.2 Brand loyalty
Aaker (1991) defines brand loyalty as the attachment that a customer has to a brand . Two
different levels of loyalty are classified: behavioural and cognitive loyalty (Keller, 1998).
Behavioural loyalty can be indicated by a number of repeated purchases (Keller, 1998). Cognitive
loyalty refers to the consumers intention to buy the brand as the first choice (Keller, 1998; Yoo and
Donthu, 2001). Another indicator of loyalty is the customer s willingness to pay higher price for a
brand in comparison with another brand offering similar benefits (Aaker, 1996).

Smiley Face In Watchmen
The smiley face in the comic book Watchmen is the most recognized image, which is iconic
throughout the entire storyline, especially in the beginning and at the end of the story. The
smiley face has a blood stain spattered from its center to the upper left which is interpreted as a
clock s minute hand that points at twelve minutes to the hour which is in particularly implied to
have a connection with the Doomsday Clock. According to this, the few minutes left are
interpreted to be representing how the catastrophic destruction of the world is very close. The

character, The Comedian, who is described to be ruthless and very cynical. The symbolism here

developed by the characters like The Comedian who are involved in various scenes as
superheroes of the society. Throughout his role, The Comedian reflects a character with deeper
insights as part of the heroes who are costumed in the society. The symbol, smiley, is used in a
religious poster featuring Buddha (V.7 22). A yellow sun is seen behind him and the sun is
spattered with blood in the same position as the blood stained badge. The stain of blood also
covers the left eye of Buddha just as it does on the smiley face. In the comic, Mrs. Hirsch s is the

L Lactate Dehydrogenase L lactate dehydrogenase, or LDH, is an oxidoreductase that occurs in
many organism and is a reaction that is important to many cells. From the peptide sequence, this
specific enzyme catalyzes the pyruvate to lactate reaction along with the coenzyme NAD+/ NADH.
The enzyme classification for this sequence is EC: 1.1.1.27, these numbers each identify a specific
part of the enzymeand the reaction is a part of. The first one identifies that this is and
oxidoreductase reaction, which accounts for the dehydrogenase in the name. The second number is
the labeling that a hydrogen is undergoing the oxidation reduction and the final one is indicating
that the l lactate is the acceptor of the hydrogen. The final digit, 27, is specific to the pyruvate
reaction that the L lactate dehydrogenaseis catalyzing. Each peptide sequence was run through
BLAST technology both forward and backwards. The sequence was examined multiples ways to
understand that the order of a sequence is important, and to guarantee the correct enzyme is found.
The BLAST database compares the sequence to many different organism and their different
cellular reaction and rates each enzyme on their similarities and the likelihood of getting a certain
result of a different database (E value). The LDH was the top 100% match with a low E value of

Enlightenment And The French Revolution
Anarchy and poor leadership of the late 1700 s in France lead to the French Revolution. King Louis
XVI of France s reign lasted from 1774 to 1791, reflecting the ideas of monarchy and the divine
right. France s struggling economy forced the citizens to panic and increasingly urge to revolt
against the King. The citizens would not be influenced to revolt against their king without the
Enlightenment. The Enlightenment was a movement to protest against and question groups like
the Catholic Church and absolute monarchs because of their beliefs and control in society.
Philosophes such as Montesquieu, Voltaire, and Rousseau highlighted equality and the rights of man
helping create the Declaration of the Rights of Man and Citizen, ultimately leading to the ideas of
change during the French Revolution. The Enlightenment period had a vast impact on the
movements of the French Revolution through philosophes like Montesquieu, Voltaire, and
Rousseau.
Charles de Montesquieu was a nobleman and a member of the parlement of Bordeaux.
Montesquieu s ideas during the Enlightenment left a great impact on the French Revolution. He
protested against absolute power and monarchy. He also believed that there should be different
parts of a government. His ideas were reflected in in the Declaration of Rights of Man and Citizen.

Progressive Era Reformers Essay
From 1900 1920 in the United States of America the reformers of the Progressive Era and the

Improvements through laws were also made regarding the right to represent oneself in government
as well.
Multiple voices in the United States called for the betterment in the ability for the people to be self
governed which they achieved to an extent, even when limited by the failure to fully honor and take
advantage of the reforms they passed. Blacks received the right to vote after the civil war, though
this success was limited by the fact they were still not treated as equals (Document I). However
women were furious their suffrage was not included in the amendments; the fury led to a long and
hard campaign for their rights. They felt cheated that the government of the United States was
sympathetic with people around the world who weren t self governed, but turned a blind eye to the
fact that significant number of their own citizens could not vote either (Document H). Through
unions and associations, marches on the capitol and works of literature despite the reluctance to
grant them their rights in the governmental branches they work of the reformer eventually resulted
in the passage of the Nineteenth Amendment, the right for women to vote. A limitation in the eyes
of the reformers to this success was the lack of complete enthusiasm for women s suffrage by
women, and the lack of a drastic change in the government despite their argument the addition of
women to the ballots would make politics less corrupt. Another issue that campaigned for the

My Musical Theatre
Throughout my entire life I have never had any real interest in musical theatre. One time when I

Nutcracker. Let me tell you, I tried my hardest, I really tried, but I couldn t stay awake for the
entire performance. This experience I had put a bad taste in my mouth as for the next several years,
I never attended another musical theatreevent.
One day in the spring, I was going through Golden Bear Advising, and I saw that Berkeley
recommended that everyone should listen to the Hamilton soundtrack. I didn t know much about
the musical other than that a couple of my friends in my high school s theatre company listened to
it. My first thought was that it must be better than the Nutcracker, so I decided I d give it a
chance. About 15 seconds into Alexander Hamilton I remember saying out loud, hmm wow, this
bumps! My first time listening to the soundtrack, I didn t listen to it all the way through, but I
was definitely hooked I wanted to keep listening. Over the summer, whenever I d go on long car
rides, I d try to listen to the soundtrack. To be honest, before I listened to the soundtrack, I didn t
think that I would like it, simply because I wasn t a fan of musical theatre. However, I was blown

Hart Crane s Influence On Make It New
Among the innumerable modernist poets that successfully encompass Ezra Pound s slogan,
Make It New, Hart Crane best embodies this mindset with his innovative poetry. However, Make
It New does not imply that the ideas must be completely original. Very well read, Crane and his
poetry were influenced by many, ranging from foreign writers, such as William Shakespeare and
Charles Baudelaire, to other writers of his time, such as T.S. Eliot. By merging already recognized
ideas of renowned writers along with his own creativity, Crane conveys a sense of familiarity,
allowing readers to grasp onto traces of acquainted aspects as they attempt to make sense of his
otherwise profound poetry. While borrowing others ideas may seem far from innovative,... Show

To Brooklyn Bridge was directly inspired by T.S. Eliot s The Wasteland and Walt Whitman s
Crossing Brooklyn Ferry, but the poem itself does not contain words or phrases that directly
correlate to those specific poets and their respective poems. Instead, the overall atmosphere of
the poem may remind readers of Eliot and Whitman. First of all, once again according to the
anthology, To Brooklyn Bridge is a hopeful reply to The Wasteland, where Eliot writes of a
fractured world, a perspective Crane shares, but his response paints a more optimistic picture.
Crane accomplishes this by using the Brooklyn Bridge as its prime symbol... to restore meaning
and unity to a fragmented and dissonant modern world (Axelrod 626). The Bridge is a manmade
effort that is capable of connecting the fragmented world. This hope is also reminiscent of Whitman
s ideas of an idealistic and unified America. Yet, a more significant influence from Whitman is the
theme of repressed homosexuality that is present in the poem. With both poets being homosexual, it
is no surprise that Crane was influenced by Whitman. The second to last stanza

Global Warming
Global Warming is a major problem that needs to be addressed. Its impacts are already costly and
significant and is just the beginning of a dangerous trend. The impact of global warming or the
more trending term climate change affects not only yourself but the entire world. The earth is
saying something with record heat, drought, storms and fire. Scientists are telling us this is what
global warming looks like. It s time to listen and take action. There s plenty we can do. (Extreme
Weather).
Health effects one of the few major impacts of global warming. With increased CO2 emissions in
the air it can cause increased issues with people already suffering from asthma. CO2 emissions
can also affect pulmonary and cardiac disease worsening the severity of it. Because of the
increased heat problems like dehydration, heat exhaustion, and heat stroke are becoming more of
an issue. Dangerously hot weather is already occurring more frequently than it did 60 years ago
and scientists expect heat waves to become more frequent and severe as global warming
intensifies. (Global Warming Impacts). If the world does not do more to reduce fossil fuel
emissions and other greenhouse gases that are making heat waves more intense, a lot of people
could get hurt and around 150,000 additional Americans could die by the end of this century due to
excessive heat.
Another major problem facing us is the raise in water levels and the

Manslaughter And Involuntary Manslaughter
dangerous resulting in a death of another human being. Manslaughter is the opposite of murder,
manslaughter can also be described in two different ways, being either voluntary or involuntary.
Voluntary manslaughter is when the act of murder is committed in either the heat of the passion or
in the defense of yourself or others (Benish). Meaning if somebody broke into a house and had a
gun, then the owner of the home could shoot the man, because he or she is defending themselves in
the situation. Involuntary manslaughter is when a killing is unintentional resulting from an
unlawful misdemeanor act or a low level felony(Benish), such as a drunk driver wrecking a car,
killing the passengers in the vehicle. Both these class A felonies result in death of another human
being, therefore being the reason why the sentence is automatically 25 years to life. Rapealso falls
in the category of class A, considering it can lead to murder or manslaughter and is considered a
severe felony. Rape is a type of sexual assault, either in the form of sexual intercourseor other forms
of sexual penetration carried out against a person without the persons consent (Rape). Some
people may argue that rape should fall more into the class B category, mainly because it is not as
severe as murder or manslaughter because it is not resulting in a dead human being. In the United
States there is reported rape every 6.2 minutes , adding up to tens of millions of rape victims

The Media And Its Impact On World Events
Yahoo News, Huffington Post, CNN, Fox News, and Buzzfeed; these are some of the most

everything trending online? Cue Reddit, the Front Page of the Internet. Reddit shares many of the
same attributes as online news with its timely and interactive content; however, its goal is not to
deliver objective facts but to rank information by how interesting it is. Many successful websites
require an equal balance of ethos, pathos, and logos to generate traffic. Redditis unique in that its
success comes almost exclusively from its use of pathos to keep a loyal user base.
Reddit maintains a stronger pathos than ethos or logos because its content is controlled by its users

Marxism In The Golden Poppy
John Griffith Chaney, best known by his pen name Jack London was an American writer; he was
born in San Francisco, California on January 12th, 1876, and died in Glen Ellen, California on
November 22nd, 1916. London had a difficult childhood, regarding London s writing style,
oxfordbibliographies.com, (2012) mentions: Perhaps in part because of the psychological dualities
of his childhood, London frequently attempted to conjoin opposites in his work, such as socialism
and individualism, wanderlust and love of home, travel overseas and California ranching, Friedrich
Nietzsche versus Karl Marxor Charles Darwin, racism versus brotherhood .
The short story the golden poppy was published in 1902, this story is an example of the social

This approach is concerned about the social content of the literary work, consequently, the idea is to
analyze literature from the implications and the consequences that a capitalist system has on a
specific society. As cliffsnotes.com, (n.d) indicates: this theoretical approach asks us to consider
how a literary work reflects the socioeconomic conditions of the time in which it was written .
From the Marxist approach, the story the golden poppy shows a society full of differences and
inequalities. In one side, there is a wealthy lady who has a stunning poppy field full of beautiful
yellow flowers, and on the other hand, there are the poor people of the town that need to take
and sell the flowers in order to live. Based on this, the story has a class struggle, high class
contrasted with low class, besides of having the role of the powerful person, in this case, the lady
owner of the poppy field.
To analyze this approach is vital to take into account the concept of capitalism, this is a system in
which the main and the only objective is to profit. In capitalism the power and the decision making
are based on the ones who own the factors of production, so it depends on what they need or what
they want to make changes; changes that are going to bring benefits to

Secular And Christian Worldviews In Marketing Applications
Worldview Discovery Paper
According to Merriam Webster dictionary, worldview is a comprehensive conception or
apprehension of the world especially from a specific standpoint. This paper aims at comparing and
contrasting secular and Christian worldviews in marketing applications. Whereas the secular
worldview marketing simply look for ways to sell their products, Christian marketing does that
while delivering the good news of Christ through sincere service to each of their customers.

Hence, they do not clearly have to state the conditions and terms of their products for them to be
sold since there is an incentive attached to the purchase of the product. Not only do many college
students lack in financial skills, they also do not have a good standing credit wise. Although this
strategy may work, it is obviously ignoring the fact that the companies are not clearly
communicating the value and terms of the product they are selling. Since these situations are
quite common among college students, new customers will fall into the same trap or the same
ones who already purchased their first product will come for more as they do not clearly
understand what they product entails. This is very opposed to what Proverbs 22:22 tells us as it
says Don t take advantage of the poor just because you can; don t take advantage of those who
stand helpless in court. Although this is right and profitable in the eyes of man, it is definitely
against God s will.

St John s Lutheran Church
St John s Lutheran Church, Ipswich, was built in 1961 after the designs of architect Karl Langer as
the primary church for the Lutheran community in Ipswich. It is home to a very active parish that
incorporates both modern and traditional rites.
The Ipswich region was home to the Yagara peoples during centuries previous to European
colonisation, and the area was occupied by the Jagera, Yuggera and Ugarapul clans. (Community
Cultural Services Department, 2015).
The area was firstly explored by John Oxley shortly after the establishment of the penal settlement
of Moreton Bay, first in Redcliffe and now in current day Brisbane, in 1824. The area was
developed after 1826 with the establishment of Limestone Station, which became a common stop in
the road between Brisbane and the Darling Downs (Ipswich City Council, 2016a).
The region was open to free settlers in 1842, with the township of Ipswich established in 1843
(Ipswich City Council, 2016b). From that date onwards, the town competed in importance with
neighbouring Brisbane, its economy being based around the extraction of limestone and coal, as
well as farming. (Erbacher, 2016). In 1860, Ipswich was officially proclaimed a municipality and it
became a Customs port. Four years later, the state government decided to open the Ipswich railway
workshops as a pioneer technological centre, event which would result in the construction of the
first railway line of the state, opened in 1867 between Ipswich and Grandchester

  • 2. Rebirth Is A Sci Fi Thriller REBIRTH is a sci fi thriller that offers a visionary and cautionary new world. The script nicely poses the question about the advancement of technology and medicine. The hero questions the morality of living life with out defects or the need to procreate. It s a compelling question to examine. The idea of searching for a new planet has merit. The idea of finding an abandoned spacecraft and trying to put the pieces together of what happened to the ship also is engaging. There s a ticking clock tension to get home or to get to the new planet. The script is driven by the theme of second chances. It also examines the man vs. machine premise. Ironically, due to social engineering, the humans have become more robot like, suppressing their emotions, while the android featured in the script, is almost more human than the real humans. It s a clever contradiction. While the script has definite strengths, the overall script would benefit from more development to build upon those strengths. One area that would benefit from more development is the structure and pace. It s crucial to immediately engage and grab the audience, especially in the first ten pages. The current first ten pages of the script feels slow. It introduces the characters, but nothing exciting happens to immediately draw the audience into the plot. It s not until around pages 16 or 17 that they find the planet and this perks our interest. The fire is the major inciting event that traps the crew in a strong dilemma. ... The Role Of Schizophrenia In Shakespeare s Hamlet My greatest fear is this brain of mine..The worst thing imaginable is to be terrified of one s own mind, the very matter that controls all that we are and all that we do and feel (Torrey). According to many doctors who are specialist like Torrey, schizophrenia disorders are held on a spectrum and hold different subtypes of schizophrenia. • 10. My Dream Short Story Last night I had the craziest dream. I went to fell asleep while watching The Gift . It was around midnight when I fell asleep and that is when my weird dream occurred. I arrived at the carnival early in the evening. I purchased my ticket for the ferris wheel, along with my sister, Clara. We proceeded to wait in line. The line was about a 2 hour wait. We waited in the line, which felt like eternity. It was finally our turn. We had both stepped onto the ferris wheelwith caution. I had a bad fearof heights and so did my sister. Clara set down her purple teddy bearnext to her that she had just won in the ring toss. As the ferris wheel began to turn, I pulled out my polaroid camera to take some pictures. I snapped a picture of Clara and I at the very top of the ferris wheel. The picture came out of the camera and I shook it to get it to dry faster. It actually came out pretty good. I slid the picture inside the pocket on the teddybears t shirt. The t shirt was a pretty baby pink shirt with tiny white polka dots. Suddenly the ferris wheel to rock back and forth. Clara and I started to panic. A man got on the loudspeaker We seem to be having some technical difficulties, the ride will resume shortly. That is when I shot up out of bed heavily breathing and sweating. That was a weird dream I said to myself. I got out of bed and started getting ready for the day. My phone began to ring. It was my sister. I picked up my phone and I answered. Hello? . Clara had just invited me to the carnival that is in town for the weekend. I agreed to go with her. Later that day, I met up with her at the carnival. She embraced me in the biggest hug when I saw her. I had not seen her in quite a while. We began walking around, talking and catching up. She pointed to the giant ferris wheel, Lets go! I stopped in my tracks. I was a little scared because I have a big fear of heights. She insisted I go with her. Sure, why not? I said. We waited in line which did not take very long. We stepped onto the ferris wheel, as the man closed the door behind us, it began to turn pretty quick. It was 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick who started the trend last year to protest police brutality. He first took a knee during the national anthem people thought he was the most disrespectful person ever. Some fans boo d him when he came into stadiums, some even burned his jersey. Some fans were with the movement and understood why the players were kneeling, but some fans didn t care why they were kneeling. They thought it was the most disrespectful thing to do. According to U.S. Dept. of Energy, there are more than 40,000 distillation columns in North America and they consume 40% of the total energy used to operate plants in chemical industries [1]. As a result, researchers have focused their efforts towards developing distillation columns that are more compact, utilize compressors to recirculate latent heat and possess more effective separation technology in order to reduce energy consumption. The principal topics of research that pose effective solutions to these present day energy challenges are: the use of divided wall columns (DWC), self heat recuperation ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... [3] shows that by using dividing wall columns, the uninstalled equipment cost for the total column configuration is reduced by about 10%. The capital costs savings result from a reduction equipment quantity. There are also indirect benefits; a dividing wall column requires less plot area, shorter piping, electrical runs and smaller storm runoff system [3]. When compared to a conventional two column system, capital costs savings of up to 30% is typical [2]. In summary, fully thermally coupled columns/configurations/ arrangements require less energy than conventional counterparts, because of providing operating conditions that avoid or minimize entropy of mixing formation, which in case of conventional configurations occurs, more or less pronounced, at the feed stage, the ends of the columns, and due to remixing of internal flows [8]. Self Heat Recuperation Technology In order to separate ethanol contents from water, enormous amounts of heat must be applied to the azeotropic mixture during distillation. According to Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau, an ethanol water mixture must be distilled at 78.3 degrees Celsius to reach the 80 proof content level of standard vodka [9]. Robert Burns states this in his famous poem To a Mouse, this is believed to have influenced the title of the novel Of Mice and Men by John Steinbeck. The reason this line from the poem influences the novel does not seem apparent at first, but by the end of the novel it becomes clear. This novel focuses on two friends, Lennie and George who are migrant workers in the 1930 s during the great depression. They move from ranch to ranch with each other, which sets them apart from most because they have each other, while the majority of migrant workers travel alone. Although Lennie seems intimidating, he is a very nice man and has the mentality of a child. The novel focuses on the dream that George and Lennie have of getting their own farm. Steinbeck conveys the message of Robert Burnspoem by showing how easily a dream or plan can be shattered. • 29. Enlightenment And The French Revolution Anarchy and poor leadership of the late 1700 s in France lead to the French Revolution. King Louis XVI of France s reign lasted from 1774 to 1791, reflecting the ideas of monarchy and the divine right. France s struggling economy forced the citizens to panic and increasingly urge to revolt against the King. The citizens would not be influenced to revolt against their king without the Enlightenment. The Enlightenment was a movement to protest against and question groups like the Catholic Church and absolute monarchs because of their beliefs and control in society. Philosophes such as Montesquieu, Voltaire, and Rousseau highlighted equality and the rights of man helping create the Declaration of the Rights of Man and Citizen, ultimately leading to the ideas of change during the French Revolution. The Enlightenment period had a vast impact on the movements of the French Revolution through philosophes like Montesquieu, Voltaire, and Rousseau. Charles de Montesquieu was a nobleman and a member of the parlement of Bordeaux. Montesquieu s ideas during the Enlightenment left a great impact on the French Revolution. He protested against absolute power and monarchy. He also believed that there should be different parts of a government. His ideas were reflected in in the Declaration of Rights of Man and Citizen. Improvements through laws were also made regarding the right to represent oneself in government as well. Multiple voices in the United States called for the betterment in the ability for the people to be self governed which they achieved to an extent, even when limited by the failure to fully honor and take advantage of the reforms they passed. Blacks received the right to vote after the civil war, though this success was limited by the fact they were still not treated as equals (Document I). However women were furious their suffrage was not included in the amendments; the fury led to a long and hard campaign for their rights. They felt cheated that the government of the United States was sympathetic with people around the world who weren t self governed, but turned a blind eye to the fact that significant number of their own citizens could not vote either (Document H). Through unions and associations, marches on the capitol and works of literature despite the reluctance to grant them their rights in the governmental branches they work of the reformer eventually resulted in the passage of the Nineteenth Amendment, the right for women to vote. One time when I was in about 5th grade, my grandfather took me, my brother and my cousin to a showing of the Nutcracker. Let me tell you, I tried my hardest, I really tried, but I couldn t stay awake for the entire performance. This experience I had put a bad taste in my mouth as for the next several years, I never attended another musical theatreevent. One day in the spring, I was going through Golden Bear Advising, and I saw that Berkeley recommended that everyone should listen to the Hamilton soundtrack. I didn t know much about the musical other than that a couple of my friends in my high school s theatre company listened to it. My first time listening to the soundtrack, I didn t listen to it all the way through, but I was definitely hooked I wanted to keep listening. Hart Crane s Influence On Make It New Among the innumerable modernist poets that successfully encompass Ezra Pound s slogan, Make It New, Hart Crane best embodies this mindset with his innovative poetry. Eliot s The Wasteland and Walt Whitman s Crossing Brooklyn Ferry, but the poem itself does not contain words or phrases that directly correlate to those specific poets and their respective poems. Instead, the overall atmosphere of the poem may remind readers of Eliot and Whitman. First of all, once again according to the anthology, To Brooklyn Bridge is a hopeful reply to The Wasteland, where Eliot writes of a fractured world, a perspective Crane shares, but his response paints a more optimistic picture. Crane accomplishes this by using the Brooklyn Bridge as its prime symbol... to restore meaning and unity to a fragmented and dissonant modern world (Axelrod 626). The Bridge is a manmade effort that is capable of connecting the fragmented world. This hope is also reminiscent of Whitman s ideas of an idealistic and unified America. • 37. Manslaughter And Involuntary Manslaughter dangerous resulting in a death of another human being. Manslaughter is the opposite of murder, manslaughter can also be described in two different ways, being either voluntary or involuntary. Voluntary manslaughter is when the act of murder is committed in either the heat of the passion or in the defense of yourself or others (Benish). Meaning if somebody broke into a house and had a gun, then the owner of the home could shoot the man, because he or she is defending themselves in the situation. Involuntary manslaughter is when a killing is unintentional resulting from an unlawful misdemeanor act or a low level felony(Benish), such as a drunk driver wrecking a car, killing the passengers in the vehicle. Both these class A felonies result in death of another human being, therefore being the reason why the sentence is automatically 25 years to life. Rapealso falls in the category of class A, considering it can lead to murder or manslaughter and is considered a severe felony. Rape is a type of sexual assault, either in the form of sexual intercourseor other forms of sexual penetration carried out against a person without the persons consent (Rape). Some people may argue that rape should fall more into the class B category, mainly because it is not as severe as murder or manslaughter because it is not resulting in a dead human being. In the United States there is reported rape every 6.2 minutes , adding up to tens of millions of rape victims (Solnit). How many of ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

It is home to a very active parish that incorporates both modern and traditional rites. The Ipswich region was home to the Yagara peoples during centuries previous to European colonisation, and the area was occupied by the Jagera, Yuggera and Ugarapul clans. (Community Cultural Services Department, 2015). The area was firstly explored by John Oxley shortly after the establishment of the penal settlement of Moreton Bay, first in Redcliffe and now in current day Brisbane, in 1824. The area was developed after 1826 with the establishment of Limestone Station, which became a common stop in the road between Brisbane and the Darling Downs (Ipswich City Council, 2016a). The region was open to free settlers in 1842, with the township of Ipswich established in 1843 (Ipswich City Council, 2016b). From that date onwards, the town competed in importance with neighbouring Brisbane, its economy being based around the extraction of limestone and coal, as well as farming. (Erbacher, 2016). In 1860, Ipswich was officially proclaimed a municipality and it became a Customs port.
