Persuasive Speech On Losing Weight
Almost 108 million Americans were overweight or obese in 1999. Until now, obesity continues to be a
serious problem and is predicted to reach epidemic levels by the year 2020.
One way to prevent this scenario is to make people aware of the risks of being overweight or obese.
Here are some diseases that you are putting yourself in risk of if you are carrying a lot of extra
pounds:
1. heart disease
2. stroke
3. diabetes
4. cancer
5. arthritis
6. hypertension
Losing weight helps to prevent and control these diseases.
The quick weight loss methods which have spread like fire these days do not provide lasting results.
More often than not, dieting methods which involve dietary drinks, foods and supplement or pills do
not work. If they do, the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
6. Avoid too much sugar.
Plan your meals around lots of fruits and vegetables, some bread, rice or pasta for that carbo fix that
you need, plus lean meat and protein rich foods. Sweets, sodas and pastries should be once in a while
indulgences only.
7. Watch your fat intake.
Fat is not the culprit to being overweight. You need this to keep your weight at the proper level.
There is such a thing as healthy fats. Olive, peanuts and canola oil have them. Tuna, salmon and
mackerel have omega 3 fats which is good for the heart.
8. Exercise.
Leave your car if you are only going a few blocks from home, take the stairs instead of the elevator,
jog, cycle or skate. Use these activites and other home chores if you are too lazy to go to the gym and
take exercise classes. Make sure that you do this regularly and you will not even notice that you are
already shedding pounds with these mundane activities.
It does not matter how much weight you plan or need to lose. What is important is that you set
realistic goals for yourself.
Go slow. If you have already lost 5 or 6 pounds, give yourself a break then try to lose the next 5

Hospital-Associated Infection
Hand hygiene has been identified as one of the simplest, but the most significant measure to prevent
and control the spread of hospital acquired infections (WHO, 2009). Furthermore, it is also considered
a cheap measurement for infection control (Allegranzi et al., 2007). Hand hygiene compliance among
healthcare workers is underutilised and interventions to develop it are absent sustainability in
developing countries (Gould et al., 2008). In the mid 1880s, the Austrian physician Ignaz P.
Semmelweis was the first doctor who reported the critical role of the hands of the healthcare providers
in transmitting hospital acquired infections (Allegranzi and Pittet, 2008). Hospital acquired infections
(HAI) remain a big challenge to the patient safety (WHO, 2009). It affects hundreds of million
individuals worldwide ever year (Allegranzi et al., 2007). Healthcare associated infection is regarded
as one of the main reasons for long staying longer in hospitals, increasing the cost of the patient
treatment, and causing higher morbidity and mortality rates (Mathai ... Show more content on

In addition, limited resources; for example the unavailability of running water, towels, and hand
washing products are key factors for non adherence to hand washing (Alp et al., 2011).
The current review of research investigates the electronic database for original research and the peer
reviews of studies published between 2005 and 2015. The primary aims of the literature review are to
understand the impact and effectiveness of interventions on improving hand hygiene behaviour among
healthcare workers, and to highlight the significant role of improving hand hygiene in reducing the
hospital acquired infections particularly in developing

Example Of Horror In Beowulf
Horror is the most personal media genre because of how it can uniquely connect an audience to the
traumatic aspects of human struggle. As a result, I like to define horror like this: horror is any instance
when an audience is given an uncomfortable look at something that disturbs them. This definition is
intended to give room for a cultural interpretation to horror; if something would have scared someone
in the past because of something unique about their culture, it can still be considered horror. This is
the primary vehicle with which I ll argue that horror has existed as long as the English language has.
Looking back at the medieval horror excerpts and Beowulf, there are many elements that would scare
the audiences of their times that wouldn t immediately affect a modern audience without thorough
analysis. Because audiences in the Middle Ages were terrified of God, descriptions of hell and
punishment were works of horror centered around fear of the divine. Likewise in Beowulf, in addition
to containing an explicit, modern esque monster in Grendel, Grendel s Dam would have been seen as a
horrifying figure because women were mostly used as negotiable objects for marriage in the 700s. In
these ways, these works are evidence that horror has been around since before Frankenstein. The
Medieval passages we read were what really sealed the idea that cultural beliefs can make a past work
considered horror. These stories contain vivid descriptions of hell and punishment. For

Pine Barrens Research Papers
What is the Pine Barrens? The Pine Barrens is a region of land filled with wildlife, and many
important industries that contribute to everyday life. This miraculous area is found in New Jersey, in
the United States, and it covers 22% of the state. Lots of animals and many different varieties of plants
call this massive area home. Trees, such as the pitch pine, have adapted to the fire hazard area by the
way their appearance is. Many other animals and plants have also done the same to adapt to this
environment. This past May, I (along with my whole sixth grade), took a trip to Camp Ockanickon and
spent three days there in the cabins that were separated by boys and girls. We were assigned activities
each day and there were a variety of lessons ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
If you take a close look at this area, you ll find many other animal species and habitats that will leave
you speechless wondering how they could survive in a habitat. In fact, in the Pine Barrens, there is a
total of 39 species of mammals, 299 birds, 59 reptiles, and 91 fish that have been spotted. All of these
animals contribute to the ecosystem by participating in the food chain, and even some individual
animals help us as well. Bees suck in a type of liquid called nectar from a flower blossom, and store it
in what s known as the honey stomach, which differs from their food stomach. Once they have a full
load, they bring it back to their hive. Next time when you see a bee flying around you, or near a
flower, don t swat at it. Instead, watch and see how it collects the pollen we use for honey. Worms are
another example of animals that can be found in the Pine Barrens that helps the ecosystem as well.
They help aerate (which means to allow air into) the soil so that the roots of plants can have access to
better oxygen that they need in order to survive. All around you in the Pine Barrens, you see tons of
trees. You can thank a couple forgetful squirrels for those. Each year, these squirrels carelessly drop
acorns or stash their supply throughout yards and forests of the Pine Barrens ecosystem. Eventually,
those seeds will sprout into a tree that will continue to grow and adapt to be part of the ecosystem over
time. Nature relies on this process from squirrels to continuously drop and stash more acorns to keep
the growth of trees continuing, since the acorns can´t move on their own to be

Build The Berlin Wall
The Berlin wall separated Berlin, and no one was allowed passage through it. People on the East side
of the wall were suffering; while on the West side, they were living under far superior living
conditions. The oppressive communist government of East Germany caused suffering among their
people. Not a single person should be stuck under living conditions that deny them basic necessities
for life. This concept remains the same with the wall Donald John Trump wants to build. Build a wall;

Insurance Industry And Its Impact On The Economy
In today s world insurance plays a critical part in almost everything we do in society. So isn t a
surprise that insurance plays a huge part in a countries economy. In simple terms insurance allows
people to participate in the economy by letting them produce goods and services without the fear of an
event or action that would leave them destitute or unable to keep doing business. On a less known
level insurance also affects the economy of starts and local economies. In addition to this one way, the
insurance industry supports the economy is by being an employer. In the United States this industry
employers more than 2.5 million jobs varying in position and function. (Insurance Information
Institute) Furthermore, the insurance companies support the economy with their investments. By
collecting funds and acting as intermediaries for providing insurance protection these companies have
$5.1 trillion in assets which could be broken up into $1.5 trillion for property/casualty and $3.6 trillion
for the life sector. (Insurance Information Institute) As for the gross domestic product, the insurance
industry s has contributed $421 billion in 2013. (Insurance Information Institute)
The insurance industry has the ability to drive economic progress in multiple ways. The first way as
mention above is by being a major U.S employer. With insurance being a growing and lucrative
business every year more and more carriers are founded and operated. According to the Bureau of

Television Is A Key Component Of Our Daily Lives
Introduction
A television is a machine with a screen that is capable of displaying images. Televisions receive
broadcast signals and turn them into pictures and sound. Although debated, the TV is often credited as
being invented by Vladimir Zworykin a Russian born American who worked for Westinghouse, and
Philo Taylor Farnsworth, a boy in Beaver City, Utah. Vladimir held the patent for the TV, but it was
Farnsworth who was the first person to first successfully transmit a TV signal on September 7, 1927.
The television is a key component of our daily lives and is a marvel of engineering and utilisation of
technology. Smartly incorporating complex electronic theories and concepts, the televisions has faced
many developments and adaptations ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
A pixel is defined in television terms as the smallest area of a television image that can be shown
within the parameters of the certain system. This process is accomplished by firstly analysing the
image by using a photoelectric device in a series of horizontal scans from the top to the bottom of the
image to create an electrical signal in which the colour and brightness values of the individual picture
elements are represented as voltage levels of the respective video waveform; secondly, by transmitting
the same respective values of the picture elements in a sequence as voltage levels of a video signal;
and finally by reproducing the image of the original scene in a video signal display of parallel
scanning lines on a viewing screen(Repairfaq.cis.upenn.edu, 2015) (wiseGEEK, 2015). The most
primitive form of televisions relied on a cathode ray tube to produce images, and operated with an
analog signal(Lapin, 2015). As technology has developed over time and broadcast signals transitioned
from analog to digital, LCD (liquid crystal display) and plasma televisions were created. These TVs
are more compact, are flatter and have crisper pictures than their cathode ray counterparts because the
bulky tube is removed, and in its stead they use a thin grid of pixels to create the images

The British And French Armies
The British and French Armies adopted and modified this tactic as well to meet their battlefield needs.
They developed time standards based on terrain. Optimally, the artillery and infantry should
simultaneously advance approximately 100 yards every one to six minutes. Eventually shell variants
were used for concealment as well. Originally only shrapnel shells were used. As the tactic
progressed, artillery would fire smoke ahead of the high explosive rounds giving ultimate cover to the
advancing infantry (Griffith, 141). After these tactics were employed during the battle in the Argonne
forest, allied forces advanced quickly towards their objective and within ten days had beaten the
German Army into almost full retreat. Never before had the American or allied forces fought a battle
of such scale. However, once commanders that were not present at the battle relinquished control to
Generals on the ground, the battle took a turn. New tactics were introduced, ill performing
commanders were replaced, and Soldiers were given a chance to rest. Those factors gave allied forces
the means necessary to continue successfully in the battle in the Argonne forest. During the Great War,
the Army predominantly used the oldest of intelligence techniques. Espionage was dangerous and
often lead to the death of those soldiers and spies behind enemy lines. The time to deliver important
and relevant information to the front lines took time. The first large scale use of Army radio

Long Distance Running Advantages
The Benefits of Long Distance Running
Health professionals and the general public have thoroughly researched and discussed the advantages
and disadvantages of long distance marathon running; the physical and mental benefits make it
apparent that long distance marathon running is overall an activity that supports a healthy lifestyle.
Nathan Critchfield

Senior Project Research Paper
October 20, 2017
When considering the topic of health benefits and the risks of running long distances the well known
story of the original marathoner Pheidippides is often brought up. The story is often told that
Pheidippides, after running nearly twenty six miles from Marathon to Athens to declare that the
Athenians had won the Battle of Marathon, fell dead from exhaustion. This version of the first
marathon often casts a negative light on the health benefits of running. However, this is not the full
story. The real story involves Pheidippides traveling one hundred forty miles in an attempt to recruit
the Spartans to aid the Athenians in their upcoming battle; then running again the return trip to report
to the Athenians that aid would not be coming before the Persians arrived to battle. Finally, he ran the
twenty six miles to Athens to report the Athenian victory. That is when he finally collapsed from
wounds and exhaustion. From this tragedy, we see that at some point distance running can be harmful
or even fatal. The real question is, have marathons reached

Introduction
The presence of natural resources in a country is supposed to a positive addition towards realizing
development goals. Both economic and social development is supposed to benefit from approximated
revenues that are to be generated from mining industries. However, the views that natural resources
are a major source of economic and social growth has been scrutinized over the past decade, with the
rising number of countries where resources expectations have not been met having contributed to
these reviews (Collier). These reviews have led to the emergence of two major views with regards to
the relationship that exist between natural resources and general national development. These views
are; the conventional view and the alternative view. The conventional view holds that there still exist a
positive relationship between natural resources and growth while the alternative view uses the
examples of countries where growth has declined or stalled after discovery of natural resources. The
alternative describes what is regarded as the resources curse (Davis). This discussion paper will
discuss the relationship that exists between natural resources, governance and national growth. In
doing this, North Korea will be used a case study while seeking to identify the resources that are found
in the country, their status and the avenues through which the resource curse can be avoided. The
cases on the OT mining in Mongolia will be

An Example Of Small Business In The Walt Disney Company
People wonder all the time how companies started out and how they got so successful? An example of
a person who has helped successful people get off their feet. James Dill, the founder of CT, allegedly
is the person that laid down the foundation for the incorporation law ( CT Sponsors 2015 Small
Business Week. ). They are associated with the SBA, also known as the Small Business Association.
CT Corporation offered a convention like event about recognizing small business and their
contributions to America. These conventions date back to 1963 ( CT Sponsors 2015 Small Business
Week. ). Certain traits help small businesses become successful, such as, persistence, confidence,
fearlessness, and passion.
This skill is something everybody needs if success is wanted; that skill would be persistence.
Persistence is a good skill to have because it means having a will to continue an action even when
obstacles get in the way. Henry Ford tried making a 4 wheel vehicle mainly running on ethanol. After
failing his attempted on the car, Henry invented the model T as part of his Ford Motor Company
(Kaufman). Even when Henry failed, he kept trying new idea until he got what he wanted. Another
person who had persistence was Walt Disney. He was told at a young age that he had no good ideas
and lacked imagination (Kaufman). Those thing did not get in his head and he ended up making
movies part of the Walt Disney Company. According to Biz Stone, co founder of Twitter, Timing,

How Do Masks Affect The Use Of Mask
In this essay, I will argue that the use of masks is vital in creating a believable and consistent character
for performance. The techniques I have used in masks not only help define a character but have
improved my improvisation skills.
Jacques Lecoq wanted to explore the hidden gestures, emotions and underlying states of a character,
which we express through mimages [2002: P.109]. I incorporated both the mimages and Seven States
of Tension to help me to determine how my mask; Draco, would react in different situations.
As John Martin states, every part says something [2004: p.68]. This is something I tried to captivate in
my development of Draco. However, before I could look at how Draco would react with masks, I
needed to understand ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Copying the arched eyebrow on the mask I found a smarmy, nasally voice, I enjoyed doing this as it
helped me to achieve the temperament of Draco; Choleric. I had to make sure I did not differentiate
from his features. As Rudlin states: You a prisoner of the mask [1994: P.35], thus meaning I was
bound by Draco s expressions.
Clocking was essential for Draco as he needed to constantly hold the audience s attention. It also
helped to pinpoint key moments; looking at the dirty rag, clock the audience, placing the rag
elsewhere. This moment also tied in with the characteristics of the Arlecchino.
Toby Wilsher states that countermask is one of the simplest but most effective tools [2007: p.30]. As
the countermask would help me achieve any emotion despite Draco s features I could flip him from
trickster to turmoil. It also affected my centre, taking me from a centre of my chest to my knees centre,
bringing Draco to the floor as his ever present sneer faded into a frown and a wail.
All the techniques I used to develop Draco helped me in creating a character. Each exercise helped me
to pin point Draco further and explore him in ways that non mask theatre would not. I prefer to act
with a mask however, it is easy to slip out of character, therefore the face of the mask must always be
pulled. I found if my facial expression slipped, the entire character began to

Effective Communication in Team Dynamics Essay
Throughout personal and business lives everyone will eventually work in a team setting. A team
usually consists of three or more people who have a common goal or purpose. When working in a
team, members have to decide what roles they will fill, plan their schedules for projects, and deal with
upcoming team conflicts. Stewart, Sims Manz (1999) stated, For a team to succeed, team members
need to effectively communicate with one another (p. 79). While each element of teamwork is
important, effective communication is the cornerstone to team dynamics.
One of the main elements of effective communication is open discussions. Everyone on the team
needs to be willing to share his or her point of view. De Janasz, Dowd Schneider (2002) ... Show more

Once the team has achieved open communication the team members will be more willing to
encourage each other, which will lead to more creativity and risk taking. This creativity will be
achieved by trusting that the communication will be heard, discussed and tried if it will help the team
reach its goals. Temme and Katzel (1995) wrote that risk taking plays a major role in the creative
process. Trust and open communication will lead to brainstorming and sharing of ideas between the
team members. Therefore, team members must try new things to see if the ideas presented will benefit
the ultimate outcome and help achieve the final goal.
Eventually every team will have a conflict. Since conflict is inevitable, effective communication is
vital for the team success. The team needs to figure out what the conflict is, what needs to be done to
get the team going again, what the options are and how they will solve the conflict in a way that is
beneficial to the team (University of Phoenix, 2004). Without effective communication, this process of
conflict resolution would fail. The team members would not be willing to share their point of view,
teamwork would stall, and the conflict would escalate. Once a conflict escalates, the team will have a
hard time coming back together and trusting each other to accomplish the set goals. The team must be
able to communication openly and discuss solutions

The Elephant In The Village Of The Blind Analysis
Seeing the Method of the Blind through Touching and Listening The theme of sight in Raymond

Food Justice And Food Retail
All food should be available to all people. The concept of this is dwelled on in the article, Food justice
and Food retail in Los Angeles by Mark Valliantos. Throughout the article, Valliantos maintains the
notion that healthy food should be within everyone s reach, yet inner cities are still suffering from
shortages of fresh produce. To see this issue in action, Valliantos documented this reoccurring
phenomenon in Los Angeles. The author gives a description of two areas within the city of Los
Angeles, and how they are economically divided based on the amount of healthy produce one has at
its disposal. He makes note of programs that already exist to help low income families receive healthy
foods that they could not afford. He also ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The lower income, however, has a very small supply of fresh produce at its disposal. Grocery stores
such as Wal Mart are stationed in the lower income portion of the city because the store has a large
selection of lower priced goods. Agricultural workers such as famers would not sell their goods in this
area because their profit would be too low to even be considered profit. In most cases, the only place
to shop for food in the lower income portion of the city, are either convenient stores or liquor stores.
There are more fast food joints, than restaurants and local pop up stands barely sell anything fresh.
Not only is the city divided based on income, but its also due to race. The author makes note of this
when he addresses volatile events such as the Rodney King Riots. He then points out that minorities
suffer the most when it comes to fresh food availability. There are actions that are being taken today,
to help increase the number of supermarkets that are available in low inner city areas. By appealing to
ethos, Valliantos is able to get his point of view across to the reader. Throughout the article, Valliantos
uses ethos to describe how the Center for Food and Justice took over responsibility for Project Café.
He then uses this to cooperate with members of the community. By being a part of the Center for Food
and Justice organization, Valliantos is able to speak to the ethical side of the

Investment s required IRR on equity of 15%. This is due to high levels of selling price growth over the

INVESTMENT RISK ANALYSIS Analysis suggests the following changes to current figures would
be required for the investor s equity return requirement to breakeven: Variable Current Figures B/E
Figure %Change Land Price $4,500,000 $5,563,021 23.62% Construction Costs $5,525 $6,096

produced in the breakeven analysis suggest that an investment of equity into the proposed
development would be relatively safe. Much like the development risk analysis, significant rises in the
developers required profit of 9% and a 23.6% rise in the land price are unlikely and therefore can be
discounted as likely outcomes. Key vulnerabilities would be rises in construction costs and falls in
gross realisations. Scenario analysis further analyses possible results of the development. Outcomes of

How Does Polonius Love Ophelia
After reading Act 1, Scene 3 in Hamlet by Shakespeare, it s clear that Laertes cares for and loves
Ophelia more than Polonius. Laertes nonetheless advises his sister to remember that in her relationship
with Prince Hamlet, he is not committed. This is because his greatness weighed and his will is not his
own. (1.3.17) He is only telling her this because he knows that Hamlet s choice of marriage partner
will be greatly influenced by what is best for the country. In other words, Laertes insists that marriage
between the two is impossible and he is saying this to keep his sister safe.
Despite this fact, others believe that Polonius is more caring towards Ophelia. Polonius explains that
she is to not believe his vows for they are brokers.

significant issue during the 1960s, after the development of hormone contraceptives, also known as
birth control pills. Some pharmacists were reluctant to distribute birth control medication for religious
or moral reasons, leading several pharmaceutical companies and organizations to develop guidelines
specific to contraceptives. Shortly after the development of the birth control pill, scientists began
developing hormonal treatments that could be taken after unprotected sex to prevent pregnancy. The
first successful form of EC was called the Yuzpe regimen after its developer, obstetrician A. Albert
Yuzpe. In 1997, the FDA approved EC for prescription use in the United States. Antiabortion groups
protested this, arguing that they considered EC to be an abortifacient, or a form of chemical

Case Study Of Aspirin
Aspirin aspirin can be used to treat pain in dogs. It is generally safe to use and it lessens inflammation
and swelling, as well as aids in reducing your dog s fever, if he has any. It is important to note that
aspirin should only be used on a short period of time as long term use will lead to the destruction of
cartilage and will make joint problems worse. DOSAGE: 5 10mg per pound of your dog s body
weight given twice a day (one dose every 12 hours) DANGEROUS FOR DOGS with:  Bleeding

Agents Of Political Socialization
People are not born with political ideas, nor do we manufacture them We learn them through a process
called political socialization. Beginning in early childhood and throughout our lives we are exposed to
a variety of individuals and groups known as agents for political socialization. These individuals or
groups teach us about their political opinions and the workings of the political system. Some of these
agents have a greater impact on our independent personal beliefs than others. Agents for political

Land Art History
When it emerged in the sixties among the crush of several other art movements (Pop Art, Minimalism,
among others) Land Art came to be an anti gallery artistic offshoot that straddled the domain between
architecture and sculpture. It had no manifestos nor schools nor leaders and it was not quite a
movement; the artists who were involved with it were also involved in other types of arts. Land art
was labelled as modern sculpture but its versatility and introduction of new concepts and visual
materials made it difficult to ascribe it to one field or term. Later on, the term Earth Works, coined by
Robert Smithson came to use but Earth Works only refers to works that use earth while Land Art is an
all encompassing umbrella that includes works ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Smithson s work Broken Circle Spiral Hill is two different works situated near each other. It is
actually not in America but was commissioned for an exhibition in the Netherlands near Emmen.
Spiral Hill is an earth mound that coils clockwise unto itself, like a sleeping snake. When it was
completed it was just shaped earth but in current day it is covered in green grass. Situated nearby on
the edge of the shore and into the water is the Broken Circle; its site was actually a functioning sand
and gravel quarry which was filled with green water. Smithson played with the negative and positive
space in such a way that the broken circle whose alternating arms are shaped with white and yellow
sand, recalls the Chinese Yin Yang symbol. In the middle of the positive space half circle sits a
boulder and this is yet again another allusion to monumental works of the past, this one appropriately
native to Dutch lands. Yet the center boulder in fact significantly expands the associative levels of this
work because it offers a direct tie to prehistory. . . . In the Bronze Age they [this type of large rock]

Best Varmint Scope Varmint Caliber
Varmint shooting is a lot different from hunting or sport shooting. It requires you to be quick and alert.
It also means that you need a good rifle and scope backing you up. If you are looking for the best
varmint scope and varmint caliber available, you should read this review.
Best Rifle Scope and Caliber for Varmint Hunting
When it comes to varmint hunting all bets are off. You need a gun that can handle shots that are close
up and far away if you want to catch an animal that depends on its own senses to keep it alive or out of
danger. If they sense you are there, they will take off running and it really does not matter whether you
are battling coyotes on your farm or out in the wild. Therefore, if you want a good rifle to catch them,
you need to know that your rifle provides ample power and one that you can feel certain is always
going to aim true. You will want it to be a gun that you simply hold up and ... Show more content on

Many people suggest that you do not go with a cheap scope because it may not allow you to aim
quickly, but this does not mean you need to purchase one that has all the unique features that are
available today for scopes. This means you could pay anywhere from $100 to a $1000, but unless you
have a huge varmint problem or it is the only hunting you are interested in, you may not need the
scopes that are over a grand. It is also perhaps why one of the most popular scopes for varmint hunting
is nowhere near that pricy. If you want to see more about the average price, you should look at the

Rhetorical Devices In Mother To Son
In the poem, Mother to Son, Langston Hughes writes about a mother that encourages her son to move
forward in life, even when obstacles arise. The mother tells her story of the hardships that she was
forced to endure in order to motivate her son to become the best that he can be. Throughout the poem,
the author s use of diction and rhetorical devices make the mother s message more powerful to the
reader. Hughes uses a wistful and somber tone to show the plight of the mother when she was growing
up. In the beginning lines, the author makes a striking comparison by stating that the mother s life ain t
been no crystal stair (2). This metaphor suggests that she had to endure many hardships throughout her
life and was not allowed to enjoy the

Impact of Marketing Mix on Brand Reputation of Nokia and...
1.0 Introduction (Abstract)
Today, company s real value lies outside the business itself, in the minds of potential buyers (Kapferer,
1992, p. 9). This is reflected in the value of brands, which are the anchors of company s value.
Products are introduced, they live and disappear but brands endure (Kapferer, 1992, p. 17). The term
``brand holds multiple meanings. According to John Murphy, founder of Inter brand (Ingham, 2003), a
brand is not only an actual product, but also the unique property of a specific owner. Brands are
increasingly considered to be the primary capital in many businesses (Ourusoff, 1993, p. 81). The
phenomenon of brand and brand reputation became the centre of interest of both academic and

Competitive Strategy Of Starbucks
1. What is the competitive strategy of your company?
Founded in 1971, Starbucks has taken the coffee industry by storm. With thousands of licensed stores
around the world, Starbucks is arguably the largest coffee company around. They re well known for
their handcrafted premium coffees and teas; which are also sold in many retail and grocery stores like
Wal Mart and Metro respectively. They also serve a variety of original and fresh food items to further
their brand and help satisfy their customers. This ensures that Starbucks has the greatest opportunity to
dominate the market; as they are saturating every area available. Higher exposure and customer
loyalty leads to increased growth and profit for the company. Starbuck s approach is heavily focused
on the differentiation strategy; which requires the company to develop products and service that are
unique in their market. Companies who use this strategy must serve customers at an exceptional level;
with all departments being high quality. Instead of following the industry s main competitors,
Starbucks recognized that they could take advantage of the missing products in the coffee industry.
Instead of following chains like Tim Horton s and Dunkin Donuts, seeks to provide exclusive that are
admired by their audience. Differentiation is incredibly attractive as it allows the company to be more
flexible with their products and has the highest potential to be very sustainable especially at a low
cost. Starbuck s specializes

Medieval European interest in mathematics was driven in Italy, which later spread across most of
Europe. One powerful component was the certainty that mathematics could be key in understanding
the worlds secrets, as claimed by Plato s Timaeus and biblical passages. In the 6th century Boethius
coined the term quadrivium which define the study of arithmetic, geometry, astronomy, and music. He
wrote De institutione arithmetica , De institutione musica . His works became the basis of

He studied a system of arithmetic which was much more efficient and greatly simplified. Leonardo
wrote Liber Abaci in 1202 which introduced the technique to Europe and would later be known

figure was an Italian Franciscan named Luca Pacioli who lived in the late 15th and early 16th
Centuries, who issued a book on arithmetic, geometry and book keeping at the end of the 15th Century
which became known for its mathematical puzzles. It also introduced symbols for plus and minus for
the first time in a printed book. Pacioli also studied the Golden Ratio in his 1509 book titled The
Divine Proportion , as he closes by saying that the number was a message from God and a source of
secret knowledge about the inner beauty of things. During the late 16th Century, the equals,
multiplication, division, root, decimal and inequality symbols were introduced and standardized. The
use of decimal fractions and decimal arithmetic is usually attributed to the Flemish mathematician
Simon Stevin the late 16th Century, although the decimal point notation was not popularized until
early in the 17th Century. Stevin was ahead of his time in enjoining that all types of numbers, whether

The Bacteria Escherichia Coli ( E. Coli )
Question 1
In the past scientist have used the bacteria Escherichia coli (E. coli) in Synthetic Biology to allow the
bacterial species to recognise and respond to light frequencies providing greater knowledge of
complex biological systems (Levskaya et al. 2005). E. coli is a suitable chassis to express Green
Fluorescent Protein (GFP) as the bacteria s plasmid helps to establish GFP (Chavshin et al. 2013). The
bacterial plasmid is a maltose binding protein that helps E. coli and GFP fuse together and allows for
detection of gene expression and controlling internal environments (Feilmeier et al. 2000). As GFP is
a useful biological indicator due to its fluorescent structure (Mazzola et al. 2005) and through the
ability of E. coli responding to light, GFP is easily expressed through the process of light stimulation
(Lee, J et al. 2013). Through the unique structure and functions found within E. coli, it allows for
successful expression of GFP making E. coli a suitable base organism.
Question 2
Jellyfish (Aequorea victoria) naturally produce GFP (Zupen et al. 2004) allowing for extraction of the
organisms genes and protein to engineer a bacteria that can produce GFP. Scientists are able to blind a
bacterial species for example E. coli with GFP by cloning the genes found within jellyfish that
produce Green Florescent Protein and insert it into a chosen bacterial species (Zupen et al. 2004).
Through the expression of the GFP gene in other organisms, synthetic biology can be

The Effects of Slavery on African Americans
Slavery, due to its overall violent nature, had lasting effects on African American s. Enslaved African
Americans faced tremendous turmoil internally and within society with all that they had to deal with.
The most apparent and disastrous affects of slavery during the 18th century was the overall dissolution
of society in regards to human rights, families, and the inability for slaves to voice an opinion of their
own. Slavery brought forth major suffering. African American s who were enslaved experienced many
troubling and painful feelings and emotions. With slavery, came problems; physical, emotional, and
traumatizing experiences. Slavery was corrupt and dehumanizing. Some of the leading factors that
resulted in why slavery was so awful was the tension and conflict it caused in society, families were
split up and sold off separately, and lastly, it led to extremely inappropriate and wrongful forced sexual
relationships between slave masters and their slaves, specifically young girls and women. Many of the
material we covered over the course of this semester in our class, explained and went into further

Methodology:
On visiting various underdeveloped sections of our world class capital city, I got the chance to have a
closer look into the lives of the unwarranted and at times acting as an invisible force the slum
dwellers. Having migrated from various developing regions of India, one can see the promises of
young bright India being obliterated into dark gloomy pieces because of communal politics and
corruption. It gave me deeper insights into the colossal failing of the central, state and municipal
machinery. They have failed in proper execution of laws for the most vulnerable and downtrodden
constituents of the society. On spending time in these un administered, poverty stricken areas of
Sanjay Camp, Janta Camp, Shakoorpur basti and GB road district, where we with the help of the

realistic insight to their sufferings and problems, starting from commodification of their labour to
stigmatized work they are forced to perform due their caste and social class. We conducted detailed
interviews of inhabitants of every age, keeping the main focus on pregnant and lactating women (and
their children below the age of 6 years), who clearly are the most vulnerable to maltreatment due to
frustration of the men in failing to provide enough for them poor execution of policies formulated by

Regulation and Functions of the p53 Protein
p53 gene, also known as tumor protein 53 (TP53), encodes for a tumor suppressor protein which
regulates the cell cycle and apoptosis. The p53 protein has been described as the guardian of the
genome (1) because of its role in preventing genetic mutation. It belongs to a protein family which
includes p53, p63 and p73 and these are structurally and functionally related to each other. However,
p53 seems to have evolved as a tumor suppressor in higher organisms, while p63 and p73 play a role
in normal developmental biology (2).
Structure of p53
P53 functions primarily as a transcription factor, and is biologically active as a homo tetramer
comprising of 4 X 393 amino acid residues. Each monomer comprises of several functional domains:
1. An acidic N terminus transcription activating domain 1 and 2 (TAD1/2) This region interacts with
various transcription factors
2. Proline rich region (PRR) This plays a role in p53 stability
3. Central DNA binding domain (DBD) required for binding to specific sites on the DNA.
4. Tetramerization domain (OD) required for the assembly of the functional tetramer.
5. Carboxyl terminus domain (CTD) which is bound to DNA binding domain and is involved in
negative modulation of DNA binding domain.
The central DNA binding domain is the most highly conserved region of p53, when compared to its
other family members, p63 and p73. Loss of tumor suppressor function of p53, as seen in most
cancers, results from missense mutations in the DNA

The Christian Church in the Middle Ages
The Christian Church in the Middle Ages played a significant role in society. Unfortunately though,
the church is often regarded as the capital of corruption, evil, and worldliness. Today, so many people

peasants, having various illegitimate children, and granting indulgences for money from wayward

considering the fact that this notion is often advocated in movies. But we must open our mind, and

It is also worth noting that not all contemporaries who were interested in the reformation, such as
Erasmus, joined Luther in his famous feat, the Reformation. With this in mind, Luther and other
reformers are usually credited with bringing the church back to the New Testament ideal, which is not
necessarily the case. Luther and his contemporaries definitely did not introduce the concept of reform .
Actually, during this time of the wealth and luxury of monastic orders, reform was a recurring theme.
But considering the way various popes around Europe tried to bring the church back to its wholesome
state, is good to note that most monastic treatises arguing the moral decline of the church do their best
to make the church appear as black and unholy as possible. They depict every little thing that is in the
least tainted with anything immoral ten times as worse as it really was, alleging that it was excessive
with luxury, worldliness, and corruption. Another element that contributes to the misleading idea that
the church was corrupt were the clerical abuses taken place during the later Middle Ages. Many
people picture the church being run in an authoritarian and totalitarian way by misguided popes,
hungry for money and power. This was not always true but trying not to contradict that fact that there

Persuasive Essay On Customer Service
There really does come a time when, as a pair of trains are getting close to each other and picking up
speed, that you know you should turn away, or at least wince meaningfully, in anticipation of the crash
and explosion of flames and flying metal that you know is just moments away. You know you should,
a part of you wants to, but you cannot turn away.
That is the feeling that I have these days as I watch the airline industry. There they are, flying along
with absolute, reckless abandon and it is just a matter of time before they hit something. I am not sure
what they will hit reregulation, economic reality, unlooked for competition from upstart airship
companies but I do know that when they hit it, it will be spectacular.
So what is fueling all this talk of crashing trains and dire predictions vis à vis the airlines? Two words:
Customer Service.
Any good businessman understands one thing if he understands nothing else that customer service is

How The Tort Reform Has Impacted Individuals ...
On this film it is showcased through several different cases how the tort reform has impacted
individuals constitutional and civil rights. It also showcases how large companies and political leaders
have used their power for their own purposes as well as to push legislature to pass through the White
House and become law by financing their campaigns and helping the candidates to win elections. One
of those laws was the caps on punitive damages through tort reform. The first case that is discussed is
Liebeck v. McDonald s Rests or Hot Coffee as it is well known for. Stella Liebeck suffered immense
burn damage on her thighs when a coffee from McDonald spilled over her legs. She needed a surgical
operation called skin graft, where a piece of healthy skin is transplanted to a new site on the body, and
other medical assistance that reach over $100,000. She and her family tried to reach McDonals to get a
settlement for the damages, but was welcomed with denial and lack of cooperation in settlements and
coverage for medical expenses, so the family decided to sue the company for gross negligence.
Through the discovery and length of the case it was discovered that the company had a large number
of complains with their coffee. It was also discovered that the coffee was made to be from 180 to 190
degrees Fahrenheit, which can cause third degree burns in a few seconds. When it came to allocations,

Role Of Marketing Using Integrated Marketing...
In recent times, there has been a shift from mass marketing using mass communication to relationship
marketing using Integrated Marketing Communications (IMC). This shift has developed an emphasis
on interaction and relationship building. IMC is the dominant communications marketing approach
favoured by many organisations as together the various communication functions create synergy
(Belch Belch, 2012, chapter 1) that consequently builds reputability; short term financial returns and
long term brand value (Schultz Schultz, 2003). This argument will be developed through a discussion
and examples of various IMC communication functions, with reference to the greater strategic results
are possible with the successful use of IMC these include but are not limited to the development of
relationships and brand identity and the ability to target various and specific audiences. The above will
be discussed with reference to theorists Belch and Belch (2012), Percy (2014) and Schultz and Schultz
(2003) among others, and the Tourism New Zealand 100% Pure New Zealand IMC campaign in order
to provide a cohesive and integrated argument.
In order to understand why IMC is the dominant approach; one must first have a cohesive
understanding of what IMC entails. IMC as Schultz and Schultz (2003), Clow and Baack (2007) and
Belch and Belch (2012) explain is a strategic business process whereby all marketing communication

Animal Vs Asian Elephants
Asian elephants are a big mammal but let me tell you more about them and what makes them different
from the other elephants. Asian elephants live in Nepal, India and Southeast Asia scrub forests and
rainforests. Asian elephants have been around for over 55 million years elephants are very successful
animals they found many different fossils and they have said over 300 species have walked the earth
over a long period. Elephants eat roots, grasses, fruit, and bark. An adult elephant can consume up to
300 pounds of food in a single day. Elephants form deep family bonds and live in tight matriarchal
family groups of related females called a herd. When a calf is born, it is raised and protected by the
whole matriarchal herd. Female elephants live in a herd. Male elephants have very different social
needs, males are driven out of the family group as they approach sexual maturity, males spend as
much as 95% of their lives alone. When it comes to babies getting attacked by predators, the whole
herd pitches in.
After five years of rearing the young elephants, the mother gives birth to a new infant weaning the
now adolescent calf at the same time. The subspecies of the elephants are African and Asian. In Africa
there is two different species the African bush elephant, and the African forest elephant. In Asia they
just have the Asian elephant. In the early times of 2000 b.c. elephants because of the size they were
they helped building. Many experts believe that the mammoth which is

Failure of Mission Command by General McClellan Essay
The Battle of Antietam could have been a devastating and fatal blow to the Confederate Army if Gen.
McClellan acted decisively, took calculated risks, and veered away from his cautious approach to war.
There are many instances leading up to the battle and during the battle in which he lacks the necessary
offensive initiative to effectively cripple and ultimately win the war. This paper is intended to
articulate the failure of Mission Command by GEN McClellan by pointing out how he failed to
understand, visualize, describe and direct the battlefield to his benefit. GEN McClellan may not have
been a great war time General but he excelled at training Soldiers, getting his men ready to fight and
raising the morale of the Armies he ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
As is noted from the quote above, questions were raised about Gen McClellan s inability to lead an
Army during a time of war. Only because of uncertainty of the Union Army after GEN Pope s defeat
on September 1 at Second Bull Run did McClellan live to Command during Antietam. For all of GEN
McClellan s ability to rally the Soldiers to fight, his inability to garner the trust and confidence in his
generals proved pivotal during the battle. Stephen Sears depicts McClellan as only trusting two of his
six Corps commanders. The testing of battle uncovered another McClellan failing his management of
his own generals. Of his six corps commanders, he displayed confidence in only two, Fitz John Porter
and Joseph Hooker. He had termed 65 year old Edwin Sumner even a greater fool than I had
supposed, and regarded William Franklin as slow and lacking in energy. He had recently rebuked
Ambrose Burnside for his tepid pursuit of the Rebels after the fighting at South Mountain. Joseph
Mansfield, new to command, was an unknown quantity. McClellan called no council of his generals to
explain his intentions, issued no plan of battle, and on September 17 conferred at length only with Fitz
John Porter.

Unmanned Aerial Vehicle And The Air Traffic Control System
1. What does the term UAV stand for? Indentify two issues that are unique to this emerging
technology. UAV stands for Unmanned Aerial Vehicle. Two issues that were mentioned in the course
about UAV s were the increase of air traffic and the rights to privacy. There would need to be another
program for UAV s to fit into the air traffic control system or have another program or set of laws to
regulate the routes in which these air vehicles can safely navigate the sky and not harm people and/or
property. Another issue using UAV s is the right to privacy one might invade by flying over places that
is closed to the public. Since air rights are the rights that are also being challenged, when is it ok to fly
over someone s property? Many ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Major disputes seek to create contractual rights within an airline. Minor disputes develop from
interpretation or application of agreements covering rates of pay, rules, or working conditions. Minor
disputes involve controversies over the definition of an existing collective bargaining/employment
agreement. For example, the issues revolving the reasoning of someone being fired is considered a
minor issue, which must be resolved through the Railway Labor Act of 1926 .
3. Describe the benefits and drawbacks of the passenger profiling systems that emerged following the
explosion of TWA Flight 800.
After the TWA 800 accident, the skepticism on profiling became evermore prominent. Following the
explosion of TWA Flight 800, profiling of terrorist became a popular idea in the airline and security
industry. Profiling became prominent towards Arab passengers because of recent trending news about
Civil War in Afghanistan at the time and the conspiracy about TWA 800 being a terrorist attack.
Association s created more in depth x ray machines and a list of characteristics on what should
security officers should look for when having suspicion of a possible threat from a passenger. This
may offend people and their right to privacy as far as how much do they need to strip down in order
for you to let them through the security gate. However, it can benefit by saving a whole plane full of
people by allowing the

The United States And The Philippines
Nicolina Cassisi
February 12th, 2015
Ms. Grene
AP Language and Composition, Set 5
The United States and the Philippines. Syria, Iraq, Iran, China, Korea, Russia, Mexico and last but not
least, Liberia are places that the United States of America finds itself involved in. Globalization is the
process in which societies and cultures integrate, appropriate, and learn from others. It is a natural
process and occurs every time in history when one culture tries to dominate another one. In some
contexts, globalization might seem necessary for a society to thrive. However, when a particular
society or culture overreaches, that is when problems occur. I wholeheartedly believe that the United
States should be involved in the Philippines in order ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
It is so dangerous in the field, that the Filipino police force is to scared to intervene with the deals
themselves. It is said that some police officers are involved in the deals as well. They take bribes in
exchange for looking the other way, and allowing drug traffic to continue unimpeded. The police will
simply wait for the deal to finish, and for the bloodshed to come to a temporary halt, before
determining if it is safe enough to make an arrest. If a policeman feels the current situation is too
dangerous, he will not intervene. According to an interview, if you do not pay the money back, [to the
drug lords] they will hunt you down and kill you ( Vice News). I feel that because the Phillipines own
police force is too scared to actively do something, another force should intervene in order to protect
innocent bystanders. There is a full on drug war occurring in the Philippines. There is also a full scale
conflict between the government and the cartels in Mexico as well. If the situation in the Philippines is
not put under control soon, Mexico offers a glimpse of what it s future could be like. Everyone cares
about El Capo but no one cares about Shabu making an appearance on the West Coast of America. The
United State is already dealing with a methamphetamine crisis in the Midwest, where rural poor create
meth labs in trailers or abandoned houses and ship drugs across the States. Shabu from the Philippines
would only increase that problem and drain more of the

A single sperm cell going through the ejaculation process...
A single sperm cell going through the ejaculation process would first have to meet the age requirement
in order for it to be ejected out of the epididymus. Once rendered to be mature enough, the sperm will
wait in the vas deferens where the seminal vesicles will secrete fructose rich fluid till an orgasm
occurs in which the spermatozoa will be released. During an erection, the sperm will be pushed
towards the posterior side of the urethra along with several other fluids that make up the semen. When
the male ejaculates the sperm cell will travel the urethra till it reaches the urethral opening in the
glans, head , of the penis. Before being propelled into the vaginal canal, the prostate gland will secrete
a basic substance to help the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The male reproductive system like any other system must have hormones aiding its several processes
in order for it to function well. In this system, male sex hormones are also known as androgens with
testosterone being the one most commonly known. Testosterone is only produced two times in a male
s life with it being secreted continuously and consistently once puberty begins in order to enable the
reproductive function. This hormone is responsible for the secondary sex characteristics of males that
develop during the course of puberty and providing negative feedback to the hypothalamus and
anterior pituitary. The production of testosterone is roused by the luteinizing hormone (LH)
stimulating Leydig cells. Meanwhile the follicle stimulating hormone (FSH) is responsible for
stimulating Sertoli cells to produce androgen binding protein (ABP), thereby stimulating
spermatogenesis. (mcb.berkeley.edu) In the course of puberty, males develops certain sex
characteristics that are then divided into either primary or secondary sex characteristics. The primary
sex characteristics include those that are directly involved in reproduction such as the enlargement of
the testes as well the production of spermatozoa. In males, prior to the first ejaculation is spermarche,
or the first production of sperm. This early production of sperm is often fraught with genetic
imperfections and the male may also be infertile for a short time. (Devin

Technology s Impact On Transportation Essay
Technology have greatly impacted the transportation field and in effect have completely changed the
way the human race travel, the way goods are shipped and the economy of every developed nation.
Technology in transportation is not something new, technology have continually had in impact on
travel and transportation. This impact can be see ranging from the Viking Longships , which were very
fast for their times. These Longships facilitated the Vikings expansion and helped them conquer new
lands that were hundreds of miles away from their homes (Vikings: Vikings at sea). The railroads in
the 1800 s also were a new form of technology, and this technology provided an opportunity for
individuals to move farther west to new lands and new opportunities that they never thought would
have existed. In our day and age, technology will continue to have a massive impact on transportation.
Knowing that technology will continue to have an impact on transportation, this paper will analyze the
technological opportunities in the transportation field and the new opportunities that they will provide
in the near future. First, this paper will examine a new form of rail transportation called Hyperloop.
This paper will discuss how Hyperloop affects product manufacturers and everyday individuals in
their daily lives. Second, this paper will look at a new phase that the Tesla Company is implementing,
a phase they title Master Plan, Part Deux , we will discuss how this new phase might affect the

Wealthy Of Other Suns Analysis
Numbers, as useful as they are, have no story. Stories, as moving as can be, cannot penetrate the heart
of cruel human. In the 21st century world of capitalism, what speaks more truly to an American than
consumerism? Throughout Warmth of Other Suns, Wilkerson describes the journeys of migrants and
the personal obstacles each character encountered while moving. These challenges and their relevance
to the larger narrative of the Great Migration are represented through the items on display. The
emotional journey of a migrant is told through their stories, and their physical journey is told through
their possessions.
Many blacks fled the South to escape the severe prejudices of the white dominated caste system. The
most horrendous atrocities of Southern racism include lynching. From the perspective of a white
person, a black person behaves in a way that somehow does not conform to his social subservient role,
or he has been accused of a crime of which there is no evidence of his guilt. Soon, perhaps days or

Low wages motivated many blacks to move North. After the Civil War, sharecropping became the
new name for exploitative slave labor. The Thirteenth Amendment freed slaves, but there were few
programs or resources for new freedmen to start businesses or find different types of jobs. Former
masters and freedmen agreed on sharecropping. The landowner would loan tools and seed to the
worker, and the worker would use those tools to grow crop and use the harvest to pay back his loans.
However, when the time came for the freedman to make his loan payment (in the form of harvest) at
the end of the year, the landowner subjectively decided what the value of the loan payment was. The
harvest, the landowner usually felt, didn t cover the cost of the loan, or the freedman did pay back his
debt fully, but he had no choice but to stay and take out a new loan for the next

Python s Dictionary ( Dict ) Data Types
Python s dictionary (dict) data type is a structure composed of key:value pairs where a value is
associated with a key used to look up that value. In other languages, similar data structures are often
known as associative arrays. Dictionary keys must be unique (among other keys in the dict) and
immutable, but values can be mutable or immutable and can be any data type. Dictionaries themselves
are mutable, which means that key:value pairs can be removed or added to dictionaries, or the value of
any pair modified. Dictionaries have generally been considered unordered (order has actually been
determined by the hash table, which is based on the specific Python implementation, and thus cannot
be relied on). The hash table is actually a ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Because Python dictionaries can contain data structures like lists and other dictionaries, the
information in the creatureTypes dictionary could be extensive. Each entry in the dictionary might
contain a dictionary specific to that creature. These dictionaries might have keys like stats , moves ,
etc. Getting the value at creatureTypes[ CreatureType ][ stats ] might return a list of the stats the
creature can have for each level it obtains. The list of moves a creature can learn, found at
creatureTypes[ CreatureType ][ moves ] might be a list where each index in the list corresponds to a
level and the item at each index is another list of moves available at that level. This game might also
have a dictionary of moves, where each move s name is a key and the value is a dictionary of that
move s attributes, such as type for whether the move does magic or physical damage, and power for
how strong the attack is. I ll note that, for the creatureTypes dictionary, I would choose to use lists
over dictionaries for something that will be looked up by sequential integer values from 0 to n, such as
creature stats for each level. Looking up a value in a dict by key is no faster than looking up a value in
a list by index. Infact, lists look up by index can be *slightly* faster; a dictionary look up requires the

Until now, obesity continues to be a serious problem and is predicted to reach epidemic levels by the year 2020. One way to prevent this scenario is to make people aware of the risks of being overweight or obese. Here are some diseases that you are putting yourself in risk of if you are carrying a lot of extra pounds: 1. heart disease 2. stroke 3. diabetes 4. cancer 5. arthritis 6. hypertension Losing weight helps to prevent and control these diseases. Plan your meals around lots of fruits and vegetables, some bread, rice or pasta for that carbo fix that you need, plus lean meat and protein rich foods. Sweets, sodas and pastries should be once in a while indulgences only. 7. Watch your fat intake. Fat is not the culprit to being overweight. You need this to keep your weight at the proper level. There is such a thing as healthy fats. Olive, peanuts and canola oil have them. Tuna, salmon and mackerel have omega 3 fats which is good for the heart. 8. Exercise. Leave your car if you are only going a few blocks from home, take the stairs instead of the elevator, jog, cycle or skate. Use these activites and other home chores if you are too lazy to go to the gym and take exercise classes. Make sure that you do this regularly and you will not even notice that you are already shedding pounds with these mundane activities.

  • 4. Hospital-Associated Infection Hand hygiene has been identified as one of the simplest, but the most significant measure to prevent and control the spread of hospital acquired infections (WHO, 2009). Furthermore, it is also considered a cheap measurement for infection control (Allegranzi et al., 2007). Hand hygiene compliance among healthcare workers is underutilised and interventions to develop it are absent sustainability in developing countries (Gould et al., 2008). In the mid 1880s, the Austrian physician Ignaz P. Semmelweis was the first doctor who reported the critical role of the hands of the healthcare providers in transmitting hospital acquired infections (Allegranzi and Pittet, 2008). Hospital acquired infections (HAI) remain a big challenge to the patient safety (WHO, 2009). It affects hundreds of million individuals worldwide ever year (Allegranzi et al., 2007). Healthcare associated infection is regarded as one of the main reasons for long staying longer in hospitals, increasing the cost of the patient treatment, and causing higher morbidity and mortality rates (Mathai ... • 5. Example Of Horror In Beowulf Horror is the most personal media genre because of how it can uniquely connect an audience to the traumatic aspects of human struggle. As a result, I like to define horror like this: horror is any instance when an audience is given an uncomfortable look at something that disturbs them. This definition is intended to give room for a cultural interpretation to horror; if something would have scared someone in the past because of something unique about their culture, it can still be considered horror. This is the primary vehicle with which I ll argue that horror has existed as long as the English language has. Looking back at the medieval horror excerpts and Beowulf, there are many elements that would scare the audiences of their times that wouldn t immediately affect a modern audience without thorough analysis. Because audiences in the Middle Ages were terrified of God, descriptions of hell and punishment were works of horror centered around fear of the divine. Likewise in Beowulf, in addition to containing an explicit, modern esque monster in Grendel, Grendel s Dam would have been seen as a horrifying figure because women were mostly used as negotiable objects for marriage in the 700s. In these ways, these works are evidence that horror has been around since before Frankenstein. The Medieval passages we read were what really sealed the idea that cultural beliefs can make a past work considered horror. These stories contain vivid descriptions of hell and punishment. For ... • 6. Pine Barrens Research Papers What is the Pine Barrens? The Pine Barrens is a region of land filled with wildlife, and many important industries that contribute to everyday life. This miraculous area is found in New Jersey, in the United States, and it covers 22% of the state. Lots of animals and many different varieties of plants call this massive area home. Trees, such as the pitch pine, have adapted to the fire hazard area by the way their appearance is. Many other animals and plants have also done the same to adapt to this environment. If you take a close look at this area, you ll find many other animal species and habitats that will leave you speechless wondering how they could survive in a habitat. In fact, in the Pine Barrens, there is a total of 39 species of mammals, 299 birds, 59 reptiles, and 91 fish that have been spotted. All of these animals contribute to the ecosystem by participating in the food chain, and even some individual animals help us as well. Bees suck in a type of liquid called nectar from a flower blossom, and store it in what s known as the honey stomach, which differs from their food stomach. Once they have a full load, they bring it back to their hive. Next time when you see a bee flying around you, or near a flower, don t swat at it. Instead, watch and see how it collects the pollen we use for honey. Worms are another example of animals that can be found in the Pine Barrens that helps the ecosystem as well. They help aerate (which means to allow air into) the soil so that the roots of plants can have access to better oxygen that they need in order to survive. All around you in the Pine Barrens, you see tons of trees. You can thank a couple forgetful squirrels for those. Each year, these squirrels carelessly drop acorns or stash their supply throughout yards and forests of the Pine Barrens ecosystem. Eventually, those seeds will sprout into a tree that will continue to grow and adapt to be part of the ecosystem over time. Nature relies on this process from squirrels to continuously drop and stash more acorns to keep the growth of trees continuing, since the acorns can´t move on their own to be ... Televisions receive broadcast signals and turn them into pictures and sound. Although debated, the TV is often credited as being invented by Vladimir Zworykin a Russian born American who worked for Westinghouse, and Philo Taylor Farnsworth, a boy in Beaver City, Utah. Vladimir held the patent for the TV, but it was Farnsworth who was the first person to first successfully transmit a TV signal on September 7, 1927. A pixel is defined in television terms as the smallest area of a television image that can be shown within the parameters of the certain system. This process is accomplished by firstly analysing the image by using a photoelectric device in a series of horizontal scans from the top to the bottom of the image to create an electrical signal in which the colour and brightness values of the individual picture elements are represented as voltage levels of the respective video waveform; secondly, by transmitting the same respective values of the picture elements in a sequence as voltage levels of a video signal; and finally by reproducing the image of the original scene in a video signal display of parallel scanning lines on a viewing screen(Repairfaq.cis.upenn.edu, 2015) (wiseGEEK, 2015). The most primitive form of televisions relied on a cathode ray tube to produce images, and operated with an analog signal(Lapin, 2015). As technology has developed over time and broadcast signals transitioned from analog to digital, LCD (liquid crystal display) and plasma televisions were created. These TVs are more compact, are flatter and have crisper pictures than their cathode ray counterparts because the bulky tube is removed, and in its stead they use a thin grid of pixels to create the images (Repairfaq.cis.upenn.edu, 2015)(Computerhope.com, 2015) (Lapin, 2015) If the sound as you hear it from the television had ... • 10. The British And French Armies The British and French Armies adopted and modified this tactic as well to meet their battlefield needs. They developed time standards based on terrain. Optimally, the artillery and infantry should simultaneously advance approximately 100 yards every one to six minutes. Eventually shell variants were used for concealment as well. Originally only shrapnel shells were used. As the tactic progressed, artillery would fire smoke ahead of the high explosive rounds giving ultimate cover to the advancing infantry (Griffith, 141). After these tactics were employed during the battle in the Argonne forest, allied forces advanced quickly towards their objective and within ten days had beaten the German Army into almost full retreat. Never before had the American or allied forces fought a battle of such scale. However, once commanders that were not present at the battle relinquished control to Generals on the ground, the battle took a turn. New tactics were introduced, ill performing commanders were replaced, and Soldiers were given a chance to rest. Those factors gave allied forces the means necessary to continue successfully in the battle in the Argonne forest. During the Great War, the Army predominantly used the oldest of intelligence techniques. Espionage was dangerous and often lead to the death of those soldiers and spies behind enemy lines. The time to deliver important and relevant information to the front lines took time. The first large scale use of Army radio intelligence ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 11. Long Distance Running Advantages The Benefits of Long Distance Running Health professionals and the general public have thoroughly researched and discussed the advantages and disadvantages of long distance marathon running; the physical and mental benefits make it apparent that long distance marathon running is overall an activity that supports a healthy lifestyle. Nathan Critchfield Mrs. Voigt Senior Project Research Paper October 20, 2017 When considering the topic of health benefits and the risks of running long distances the well known story of the original marathoner Pheidippides is often brought up. The story is often told that Pheidippides, after running nearly twenty six miles from Marathon to Athens to declare that the Athenians had won the Battle of Marathon, fell dead from exhaustion. This version of the first marathon often casts a negative light on the health benefits of running. However, this is not the full story. The real story involves Pheidippides traveling one hundred forty miles in an attempt to recruit the Spartans to aid the Athenians in their upcoming battle; then running again the return trip to report to the Athenians that aid would not be coming before the Persians arrived to battle. Finally, he ran the twenty six miles to Athens to report the Athenian victory. That is when he finally collapsed from wounds and exhaustion. From this tragedy, we see that at some point distance running can be harmful or even fatal. The real question is, have marathons reached ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 12. The Presence Of Natural Resources Name Institution Course Unit Lecturer Date Introduction The presence of natural resources in a country is supposed to a positive addition towards realizing development goals. Both economic and social development is supposed to benefit from approximated revenues that are to be generated from mining industries. However, the views that natural resources are a major source of economic and social growth has been scrutinized over the past decade, with the rising number of countries where resources expectations have not been met having contributed to these reviews (Collier). These reviews have led to the emergence of two major views with regards to the relationship that exist between natural resources and general national development. These views are; the conventional view and the alternative view. The conventional view holds that there still exist a positive relationship between natural resources and growth while the alternative view uses the examples of countries where growth has declined or stalled after discovery of natural resources. The alternative describes what is regarded as the resources curse (Davis). This discussion paper will discuss the relationship that exists between natural resources, governance and national growth. In doing this, North Korea will be used a case study while seeking to identify the resources that are found in the country, their status and the avenues through which the resource curse can be avoided. • 15. How Do Masks Affect The Use Of Mask In this essay, I will argue that the use of masks is vital in creating a believable and consistent character for performance. The techniques I have used in masks not only help define a character but have improved my improvisation skills. Jacques Lecoq wanted to explore the hidden gestures, emotions and underlying states of a character, which we express through mimages [2002: P.109]. I incorporated both the mimages and Seven States of Tension to help me to determine how my mask; Draco, would react in different situations. As John Martin states, every part says something [2004: p.68]. This is something I tried to captivate in my development of Draco. I had to make sure I did not differentiate from his features. As Rudlin states: You a prisoner of the mask [1994: P.35], thus meaning I was bound by Draco s expressions. Clocking was essential for Draco as he needed to constantly hold the audience s attention. It also helped to pinpoint key moments; looking at the dirty rag, clock the audience, placing the rag elsewhere. This moment also tied in with the characteristics of the Arlecchino. Toby Wilsher states that countermask is one of the simplest but most effective tools [2007: p.30]. As the countermask would help me achieve any emotion despite Draco s features I could flip him from trickster to turmoil. It also affected my centre, taking me from a centre of my chest to my knees centre, bringing Draco to the floor as his ever present sneer faded into a frown and a wail. All the techniques I used to develop Draco helped me in creating a character. Each exercise helped me to pin point Draco further and explore him in ways that non mask theatre would not. I prefer to act with a mask however, it is easy to slip out of character, therefore the face of the mask must always be pulled. A team usually consists of three or more people who have a common goal or purpose. When working in a team, members have to decide what roles they will fill, plan their schedules for projects, and deal with upcoming team conflicts. Stewart, Sims Manz (1999) stated, For a team to succeed, team members need to effectively communicate with one another (p. 79). While each element of teamwork is important, effective communication is the cornerstone to team dynamics. One of the main elements of effective communication is open discussions. Once the team has achieved open communication the team members will be more willing to encourage each other, which will lead to more creativity and risk taking. This creativity will be achieved by trusting that the communication will be heard, discussed and tried if it will help the team reach its goals. Temme and Katzel (1995) wrote that risk taking plays a major role in the creative process. Trust and open communication will lead to brainstorming and sharing of ideas between the team members. Therefore, team members must try new things to see if the ideas presented will benefit the ultimate outcome and help achieve the final goal. Eventually every team will have a conflict. Since conflict is inevitable, effective communication is vital for the team success. The team needs to figure out what the conflict is, what needs to be done to get the team going again, what the options are and how they will solve the conflict in a way that is beneficial to the team (University of Phoenix, 2004). Without effective communication, this process of conflict resolution would fail. The team members would not be willing to share their point of view, teamwork would stall, and the conflict would escalate. Once a conflict escalates, the team will have a hard time coming back together and trusting each other to accomplish the set goals. The lower income, however, has a very small supply of fresh produce at its disposal. Grocery stores such as Wal Mart are stationed in the lower income portion of the city because the store has a large selection of lower priced goods. Agricultural workers such as famers would not sell their goods in this area because their profit would be too low to even be considered profit. In most cases, the only place to shop for food in the lower income portion of the city, are either convenient stores or liquor stores. There are more fast food joints, than restaurants and local pop up stands barely sell anything fresh. Not only is the city divided based on income, but its also due to race. The author makes note of this when he addresses volatile events such as the Rodney King Riots. He then points out that minorities suffer the most when it comes to fresh food availability. There are actions that are being taken today, to help increase the number of supermarkets that are available in low inner city areas. By appealing to ethos, Valliantos is able to get his point of view across to the reader. Throughout the article, Valliantos uses ethos to describe how the Center for Food and Justice took over responsibility for Project Café. He then uses this to cooperate with members of the community. This is due to high levels of selling price growth over the development period and again shows the strength of the luxury residential property market. INVESTMENT RISK ANALYSIS Analysis suggests the following changes to current figures would be required for the investor s equity return requirement to breakeven: Variable Current Figures B/E Figure %Change Land Price $4,500,000 $5,563,021 23.62% Construction Costs $5,525 $6,096 10.33% Gross Realisations $21,850,000 $20,410,565 6.6% Developer s PRF 23% 32% 9% Figures produced in the breakeven analysis suggest that an investment of equity into the proposed development would be relatively safe. Laertes nonetheless advises his sister to remember that in her relationship with Prince Hamlet, he is not committed. This is because his greatness weighed and his will is not his own. Emergency Contraception Research Paper Emergency contraception (EC), also known as postcoital contraception or the morning after pill, is a drug taken after unprotected sex to prevent pregnancy. This drug uses hormones to prevent the ovaries from releasing eggs, prevent sperm from fertilizing an egg, or chemically alter the lining of the uterus to prevent fertilized eggs from implanting. When taken within seventy two hours of unprotected sex, EC is believed to be 90 percent effective at preventing pregnancy. Most conscience clauses that apply to pharmacists were originally created for use in situations where they have reason to believe that patients might use medications to cause harm to themselves or others. Conscience clauses became a significant issue during the 1960s, after the development of hormone contraceptives, also known as birth control pills. Some pharmacists were reluctant to distribute birth control medication for religious or moral reasons, leading several pharmaceutical companies and organizations to develop guidelines specific to contraceptives. Shortly after the development of the birth control pill, scientists began developing hormonal treatments that could be taken after unprotected sex to prevent pregnancy. The first successful form of EC was called the Yuzpe regimen after its developer, obstetrician A. Albert Yuzpe. In 1997, the FDA approved EC for prescription use in the United States. Land Art History When it emerged in the sixties among the crush of several other art movements (Pop Art, Minimalism, among others) Land Art came to be an anti gallery artistic offshoot that straddled the domain between architecture and sculpture. It had no manifestos nor schools nor leaders and it was not quite a movement; the artists who were involved with it were also involved in other types of arts. Land art was labelled as modern sculpture but its versatility and introduction of new concepts and visual materials made it difficult to ascribe it to one field or term. Situated nearby on the edge of the shore and into the water is the Broken Circle; its site was actually a functioning sand and gravel quarry which was filled with green water. Smithson played with the negative and positive space in such a way that the broken circle whose alternating arms are shaped with white and yellow sand, recalls the Chinese Yin Yang symbol. In the middle of the positive space half circle sits a boulder and this is yet again another allusion to monumental works of the past, this one appropriately native to Dutch lands. Coli ) Question 1 In the past scientist have used the bacteria Escherichia coli (E. coli) in Synthetic Biology to allow the bacterial species to recognise and respond to light frequencies providing greater knowledge of complex biological systems (Levskaya et al. 2005). E. coli is a suitable chassis to express Green Fluorescent Protein (GFP) as the bacteria s plasmid helps to establish GFP (Chavshin et al. 2013). The bacterial plasmid is a maltose binding protein that helps E. coli and GFP fuse together and allows for detection of gene expression and controlling internal environments (Feilmeier et al. 2000). As GFP is a useful biological indicator due to its fluorescent structure (Mazzola et al. 2005) and through the ability of E. coli responding to light, GFP is easily expressed through the process of light stimulation (Lee, J et al. 2013). Through the unique structure and functions found within E. coli, it allows for successful expression of GFP making E. coli a suitable base organism. Question 2 Jellyfish (Aequorea victoria) naturally produce GFP (Zupen et al. 2004) allowing for extraction of the organisms genes and protein to engineer a bacteria that can produce GFP. Scientists are able to blind a bacterial species for example E. coli with GFP by cloning the genes found within jellyfish that produce Green Florescent Protein and insert it into a chosen bacterial species (Zupen et al. 2004). The p53 protein has been described as the guardian of the genome (1) because of its role in preventing genetic mutation. It belongs to a protein family which includes p53, p63 and p73 and these are structurally and functionally related to each other. However, p53 seems to have evolved as a tumor suppressor in higher organisms, while p63 and p73 play a role in normal developmental biology (2). Structure of p53 P53 functions primarily as a transcription factor, and is biologically active as a homo tetramer comprising of 4 X 393 amino acid residues. Each monomer comprises of several functional domains: 1. An acidic N terminus transcription activating domain 1 and 2 (TAD1/2) This region interacts with various transcription factors 2. Proline rich region (PRR) This plays a role in p53 stability 3. Central DNA binding domain (DBD) required for binding to specific sites on the DNA. 4. But considering the way various popes around Europe tried to bring the church back to its wholesome state, is good to note that most monastic treatises arguing the moral decline of the church do their best to make the church appear as black and unholy as possible. They depict every little thing that is in the least tainted with anything immoral ten times as worse as it really was, alleging that it was excessive with luxury, worldliness, and corruption. Another element that contributes to the misleading idea that the church was corrupt were the clerical abuses taken place during the later Middle Ages. Many people picture the church being run in an authoritarian and totalitarian way by misguided popes, hungry for money and power. This was not always true but trying not to contradict that fact that there were cases of ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 43. Persuasive Essay On Customer Service There really does come a time when, as a pair of trains are getting close to each other and picking up speed, that you know you should turn away, or at least wince meaningfully, in anticipation of the crash and explosion of flames and flying metal that you know is just moments away. You know you should, a part of you wants to, but you cannot turn away. That is the feeling that I have these days as I watch the airline industry. There they are, flying along with absolute, reckless abandon and it is just a matter of time before they hit something. I am not sure what they will hit reregulation, economic reality, unlooked for competition from upstart airship companies but I do know that when they hit it, it will be spectacular. So what is fueling all this talk of crashing trains and dire predictions vis à vis the airlines? Two words: Customer Service. Any good businessman understands one thing if he understands nothing else that customer service is vitally important to the continued survival of a company. In fact, ask any small business owner the secret of his success and the answer will usually have something to do with customer service. You can have the greatest product in the world, but if you don t work on customer service making the customer s experience as good as it can be then you are not going to sell very much. If a recent survey from the University of Michigan is correct, this seems to be a lesson lost on the majority of airline executives these days. In fact, with ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 44. How The Tort Reform Has Impacted Individuals ... On this film it is showcased through several different cases how the tort reform has impacted individuals constitutional and civil rights. It also showcases how large companies and political leaders have used their power for their own purposes as well as to push legislature to pass through the White House and become law by financing their campaigns and helping the candidates to win elections. One of those laws was the caps on punitive damages through tort reform. The first case that is discussed is Liebeck v. McDonald s Rests or Hot Coffee as it is well known for. Stella Liebeck suffered immense burn damage on her thighs when a coffee from McDonald spilled over her legs. She needed a surgical operation called skin graft, where a piece of healthy skin is transplanted to a new site on the body, and other medical assistance that reach over $100,000. She and her family tried to reach McDonals to get a settlement for the damages, but was welcomed with denial and lack of cooperation in settlements and coverage for medical expenses, so the family decided to sue the company for gross negligence. Through the discovery and length of the case it was discovered that the company had a large number of complains with their coffee. It was also discovered that the coffee was made to be from 180 to 190 degrees Fahrenheit, which can cause third degree burns in a few seconds. When it came to allocations, 80% of the blame was placed on McDonals and the remaining was placed on Stella; this ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 45. Role Of Marketing Using Integrated Marketing... In recent times, there has been a shift from mass marketing using mass communication to relationship marketing using Integrated Marketing Communications (IMC). This shift has developed an emphasis on interaction and relationship building. IMC is the dominant communications marketing approach favoured by many organisations as together the various communication functions create synergy (Belch Belch, 2012, chapter 1) that consequently builds reputability; short term financial returns and long term brand value (Schultz Schultz, 2003). This argument will be developed through a discussion and examples of various IMC communication functions, with reference to the greater strategic results are possible with the successful use of IMC these include but are not limited to the development of relationships and brand identity and the ability to target various and specific audiences. The above will be discussed with reference to theorists Belch and Belch (2012), Percy (2014) and Schultz and Schultz (2003) among others, and the Tourism New Zealand 100% Pure New Zealand IMC campaign in order to provide a cohesive and integrated argument. In order to understand why IMC is the dominant approach; one must first have a cohesive understanding of what IMC entails. IMC as Schultz and Schultz (2003), Clow and Baack (2007) and Belch and Belch (2012) explain is a strategic business process whereby all marketing communication tools and avenues are integrated seamlessly to ensure the greatest ... Asian elephants live in Nepal, India and Southeast Asia scrub forests and rainforests. Asian elephants have been around for over 55 million years elephants are very successful animals they found many different fossils and they have said over 300 species have walked the earth over a long period. Elephants eat roots, grasses, fruit, and bark. An adult elephant can consume up to 300 pounds of food in a single day. Elephants form deep family bonds and live in tight matriarchal family groups of related females called a herd. When a calf is born, it is raised and protected by the whole matriarchal herd. Female elephants live in a herd. Male elephants have very different social needs, males are driven out of the family group as they approach sexual maturity, males spend as much as 95% of their lives alone. When it comes to babies getting attacked by predators, the whole herd pitches in. After five years of rearing the young elephants, the mother gives birth to a new infant weaning the now adolescent calf at the same time. The subspecies of the elephants are African and Asian. In Africa there is two different species the African bush elephant, and the African forest elephant. In Asia they just have the Asian elephant. McClellan acted decisively, took calculated risks, and veered away from his cautious approach to war. There are many instances leading up to the battle and during the battle in which he lacks the necessary offensive initiative to effectively cripple and ultimately win the war. This paper is intended to articulate the failure of Mission Command by GEN McClellan by pointing out how he failed to understand, visualize, describe and direct the battlefield to his benefit. Only because of uncertainty of the Union Army after GEN Pope s defeat on September 1 at Second Bull Run did McClellan live to Command during Antietam. For all of GEN McClellan s ability to rally the Soldiers to fight, his inability to garner the trust and confidence in his generals proved pivotal during the battle. Stephen Sears depicts McClellan as only trusting two of his six Corps commanders. The testing of battle uncovered another McClellan failing his management of his own generals. Of his six corps commanders, he displayed confidence in only two, Fitz John Porter and Joseph Hooker. He had termed 65 year old Edwin Sumner even a greater fool than I had supposed, and regarded William Franklin as slow and lacking in energy. He had recently rebuked Ambrose Burnside for his tepid pursuit of the Rebels after the fighting at South Mountain. Joseph Mansfield, new to command, was an unknown quantity. The male reproductive system like any other system must have hormones aiding its several processes in order for it to function well. In this system, male sex hormones are also known as androgens with testosterone being the one most commonly known. Testosterone is only produced two times in a male s life with it being secreted continuously and consistently once puberty begins in order to enable the reproductive function. This hormone is responsible for the secondary sex characteristics of males that develop during the course of puberty and providing negative feedback to the hypothalamus and anterior pituitary. The production of testosterone is roused by the luteinizing hormone (LH) stimulating Leydig cells. Meanwhile the follicle stimulating hormone (FSH) is responsible for stimulating Sertoli cells to produce androgen binding protein (ABP), thereby stimulating spermatogenesis. (mcb.berkeley.edu) In the course of puberty, males develops certain sex characteristics that are then divided into either primary or secondary sex characteristics. The primary sex characteristics include those that are directly involved in reproduction such as the enlargement of the testes as well the production of spermatozoa. In males, prior to the first ejaculation is spermarche, or the first production of sperm. This early production of sperm is often fraught with genetic imperfections and the male may also be infertile for a short time. (Devin ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

In other languages, similar data structures are often known as associative arrays. Dictionary keys must be unique (among other keys in the dict) and immutable, but values can be mutable or immutable and can be any data type. Dictionaries themselves are mutable, which means that key:value pairs can be removed or added to dictionaries, or the value of any pair modified. Dictionaries have generally been considered unordered (order has actually been determined by the hash table, which is based on the specific Python implementation, and thus cannot be relied on). Each entry in the dictionary might contain a dictionary specific to that creature. These dictionaries might have keys like stats , moves , etc. Getting the value at creatureTypes[ CreatureType ][ stats ] might return a list of the stats the creature can have for each level it obtains. The list of moves a creature can learn, found at creatureTypes[ CreatureType ][ moves ] might be a list where each index in the list corresponds to a level and the item at each index is another list of moves available at that level. This game might also have a dictionary of moves, where each move s name is a key and the value is a dictionary of that move s attributes, such as type for whether the move does magic or physical damage, and power for how strong the attack is. I ll note that, for the creatureTypes dictionary, I would choose to use lists over dictionaries for something that will be looked up by sequential integer values from 0 to n, such as creature stats for each level.
