Anti Federalists Vs. Federal Republicans Essay
In modern America, many citizens hold to the notion that the Constitution was adopted unanimously,
without debate or disagreement. Not only is this not the case, the debate and disagreement that took
place during the institution of the governing articles for the newly formed country are ultimately
responsible for the system we have in place today as the concerns and counterpoints raised in the
discussion were more crucial to the successful continuance of stability in the nation than any
unanimous decision. Given the apparent import of such discussion, it is therefore prudent to examine
the original points of contention to determine their merit and to further ensure that the concerns
originally raised have been addressed sufficiently.
These discussions and debates often took place between two specific groups, the Federalists, and their
opponents who they termed the Anti Federalists. However, these so called Anti Federalists would have
referred to themselves as Democratic Republicans or Federal Republicans, so they will be referenced
in this vein. On the side of the Federalists were men such as James Madison, Alexander Hamilton,
George Washington, Gouverneur Morris, and other proponents of a centralized Federal government.
The opposition to these ideals was led by men like Thomas Jefferson, Samuel Adams, Patrick Henry,
Richard Henry Lee, and other state governors, farmers, and craftsmen concerned about the powers
being allocated to the proposed central government. These

What Is The Role Of American Women In The Early 20th Century
Before the 20th century, the constrictions of the private sphere limited the roles of American women to
those that related to domesticity. These roles included child bearing, rearing, cleaning, cooking, and
tending to their husbands. This meant that women tended to set aside their hopes and dreams for a
future that would extend beyond their lives of domesticity in order to focus solely on their home life.
However, at the beginning of the 20th century women took it upon themselves to move away from the
private sphere as they began to challenge their traditional roles. Consequently, women became
increasingly involved in the public sphere fighting for various significant causes and aiding to their
movement as strikers, suffragists, and protesters. The photographs portray distinct groups of early 20th
century American women in their struggle to transition from the private sphere into the public sphere
with each group of women participating and contributing to this movement in different ways.
At the beginning of the 20th century, different groups of American women from diverse
socioeconomic backgrounds entered the public sphere and did so by protesting against various
injustices. Each group of women decided to take to the streets as a result of these injustices and in
order to accomplish their objectives. To begin with, working class women, mostly young immigrant
women, decided to take to the streets to strike primarily in regards to the low salaries as well as the
deplorable

Exercise As A Healthy Lifestyle
Dear Karen, I am addressing you about your interest in exercise as a supplemental component in
leading a healthy lifestyle. Based on the results of your medical evaluations, I believe an exercise
prescription is a viable option to help you reach your health and general fitness goals. I am excited for
the opportunity to work with you and think you have made an excellent choice to pursue exercise as a
treatment option. I like to stress with my clients that, although the goal is to get you exercising on your
own, I am here to teach and support you so that you are comfortable and confident that you are
making decisions that will impact your health in a positive way. Although my services are science
based and effective, it is crucial that you do not use them as a replacement for general medical care
from your physician. Exercise is a significant component to health in many ways. In the United States,
the leading causes of premature death are primarily diseases of the heart and circulatory systems.
Diseases of utmost significance are coronary artery disease, stroke, type II diabetes, and cancer. More
and more evidence suggests that the increase in deaths with each of these conditions is correlated with
a decrease in the amount of exercise performed by the general population. The good news is that you
have taken the first step toward reversing this trend and I can help you achieve success. Vast amounts
of research suggest exercise can help mitigate your risk for cardiovascular

Comparision of Barbie Doll by Marge Piercy and Suicide...
The poem Barbie Doll by Marge Piercy and Suicide Note by Janice Mirikitani are both about how two
young women could no long take the pressures society placed upon them. Although the two poems
have a very different tone, language, and structure the same underlying theme exists. In both poems
the girls struggle to be perfect and to conform to the desires of others. Both women in the poems
ultimately commit suicide because they can no longer live with the criticism and lack of acceptance
that they face. These two young women represent a whole world of young females and males who are
weighed down by society s pressure to be flawless. As members of society, which especially includes
parents with young children we need to assure the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The girl was told to diet, exercise, and use flattery to get what she wants (Piercy, 867). She tried to
conform and be everything that is expected, but eventually her good nature wore down. Being told
what and how to be from a young age will take its toll on any person especially an impressionable
teenager. Being that I have experienced these pressures, although not to the same extent as the girl in
Piercy s poem, I can safely say that young adolescents tend to be quite multifaceted and sensitive
which explains why criticism about one s appearance can damage their morale. This girl no longer had
the will to battle the burdens she was feeling and the lines So she cut off her nose and legs and offered
them up make reference to the fact that she committed suicide (Piercy, 867). I get the feeling in the
last stanza that the girl may have had some physically altering surgery sometime before she took her
life. Ironically, it is only when the young woman is lying dead in a casket that people begin to
acknowledge her beauty. The last line is a very powerful one To every woman a happy ending (Piercy,
867). I disagree that the subject of the poem truly had a happy ending, but I do not feel the author
meant it literally either. It seems the author means to deject the people in the girl s life who only saw
her flaws and not her true beauty and intelligence. The title Barbie Doll is appropriate because society
metaphorically compares women to the look of

Who Is Man s Worst Enemy In Macbeth
Man s Worst Enemy
Annika Boehme
Ambition is like water. Humans need it to live but too little will weaken and kill you. Conversely, too
much and you ll drown. (Unknown). Ambition can drive individuals to do prodigious things.
However, when pursued with overconfidence and lust for power, ambition can lead to extreme actions
that can affect oneself and the people around them. In the play Macbeth, Shakespeare discusses the
idea regarding the impact an individual s ambition has on themself and others. Macbeth was promised
or cursed by three witches that he would obtain more power and would one day be the King of
Scotland. Macbeth believed the witches and their foretelling, but to gain this power and title many
events occured that had a ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
When Macbeth heard that he would one day be king, he decided to murder King Duncan in order to
secure that position for himself, after having been encouraged by his wife. With the curse from the
three witches, Macbeth began a domino effect of events in an effort to remain king, which drove both
him and Lady Macbeth crazy as they realized their greed led to their tragic downfall. This can be seen
when Macbeth murdered his friend Banquo and his murderous deeds came back to haunt them. Not
only did these murders have a toll on Macbeth but the weight of these murders was on Lady Macbeth
as well. Following the murder of Banquo, Lady Macbeth was found sleepwalking and trying to wash
her hands of the King s blood. Lo you, here she comes. This is her very guise; and, upon my life, fast
asleep...It is an accustomed action with her to seem thus washing her hands. (Act 5, scene 1, line 17

Alka Seltzer Research Paper
Alka Seltzer is a medicine that acts as a pain reliever and an antacid. Antacids are used to help
neutralize the acids in the stomach and help treat acid reflux, heartburn, indigestion, and gastritis. The
tablets contain sodium bicarbonate (NaHCO3) and citric acid (C6H8O7). The sodium bicarbonate is a
base that helps neutralize the acids in the stomach, mainly hydrochloric acid (HCl). It does this by the
following reaction: Na3C3H5O7(aq) + 3HCl(aq) H3C3H5O7(aq) + 3NaCl(aq). When the tablets are
dropped into the water, a reaction occurs in which water (H2O), sodium citrate (Na3C6H5O7), and
carbon dioxide (CO2) are formed.
Gastritis, one of the conditions Alka Seltzer helps treat, occurs when the stomach lining is damaged or
weak. There are

Are We The Dumbest Generation Analysis
Are we the Dumbest Generation? Americans today look back and realize how much technology has
advanced. The big question is whether this technology is affecting our way of thinking. Or like some
authors politicians and older generations say dumb. So why is it that we are considered the dumbest
generation, won t we just grow up and call the next generation dumb? Older generations (over 30)
believe that people under 30 are the dumbest generation, but if you think about it that s what each
generation has said about the previous, making it a pointless and incorrect statement said by the
elderly. It is said we are the dumbest generation, but that s something that is apparently said about
every generation. And that is exactly what R Smith Simpson is saying. He says there seems to be a
lack of knowledge, when people were asked questions they d reply with the thinnest recital of facts
some couldn t even discuss them at all. Although Simpson doesn t provide a direct quote to indicate
that each generation is going to be considered dumb by the previous; we take in consideration the year
he wrote this and compare it to the rest of the articles we conclude each generation will be seen as the
dumbest. (source 5) ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In his article he talks about the under 30 generation actually being smarter than previous generations.
And that is because of technology something seen as a mind enabler might actually be
helpful.According to Thompson, Lunsford says that young people write more than any generation
specifically any generation before them. So if we are the dumbest generation why are we writing
more, 38 percent of it took place out of the classroom says Lunsford. Even if the writing is occurring
on facebook, through chat sessions and twitter it s still happening, and believe it or not it s benefitting
our writing. Our tone and self expression is evolving quicker and better than previous

Existentialism and the Power and the Glory
Traditionally, Christian literary works are set in an idealized Christian reality, based upon values
sourced from scripture. In this reality, the Deus ex Machina is strictly literal, admitting at any needed
time a supernatural element to the story which, in all functionality, serves as miracle, in either pivot of
the plot or in character arc. It s a cliché of storytelling that has become heavily condescended by
readers and critics because it leaves little challenge, application, or relation to both the characters in
the story and the impact it makes on the audience. They re experiences that a normal individual could
never expect to have, leading many to frustration and confusion. Graham Greene plants The Power
and the Glory firmly in reality, and while we still may find his character s experiences outside of
likelihood in context of our own, they remain realistic. They doubt God for good reason, and for the
same reason they believe. Their inner struggles are complex and anchored with honesty. The easy path
is not taken here. The Power and the Glory is set in revolutionary Mexico, in a time of persecution and
political turmoil. Poverty and crime is rampant, common liberties are threatened, and the hearts of
everyone are heavy. The transgressions Greene s characters experience already exceed most of our
own, helping us see our common struggles in a more legitimate, harsh light. They more than ever have
reason to be discouraged, and anything that can turn their calloused

J Alfred Prufrock Allusions
In the struggle of everyday life, taking a somewhat small risk can sometimes feel like an incredibly
daunting task. The Love Song of J. Alfred Prufrock by T.S. Eliot describes one such experience as a
man, Prufrock, describes his evening with a woman with whom he d like to be in a relationship with.
However the task of bringing this up to the woman appears too daunting for Prufrock, and as his
insecurities overtake him, he fails to gather the courage to ask her. The use of allusion in the love song
of J. Alfred Prufrock by Andrew McCulloch analyzes several literary allusions throughout The Love
Song of J. Alfred Prufrock and eventually comes to the conclusion that only those who relate to the
poem will gain full emotional satisfaction from it. The article begins by giving a brief description of
modernism in literature and how The Love Song Of J. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
McCulloch then goes on to describe how elliots work as a whole relates to traditional literature and
how The Love Song of J. Alfred Prufrock serves as a departure from the victorian age of literature. T.
S. Elliot s opinions on the Metaphysical poet, John Donne are highlighted in the next section to further
emphasize Eliot s views on how experiences are key when relating to poetry. In a direct quote from
Eliot he criticizes most metaphysical poets for ransacking nature and art for illustrations, comparisons
and allusions however he compliments Donne for his use of relatable ideas to create emotion.
McColloch makes the argument that Eliot s admiration of Donne clearly influences his work and the
modernist movement as a whole. Through the

Working Environment Gatherings Are Turning Out
Working environment gatherings are turning out to be more basic in today s associations.
Organizations are looking for the cooperative energy that creates when individuals meet up to take a
shot at a task
A group unites people with comparative hobbies and destinations. Cooperation starts with, and
manufactures connections among, a gathering of individuals who offer a typical intrigue or reason.
Working in groups permits people from diverse regions (e.g. projects, raising support, and advertising)
with distinctive parts (staff, volunteer, and customer/purchaser/client) and maybe from diverse
associations to cooperate on issues of enthusiasm to colleagues.

A Model of Task Group Development in Complex Organizations and a strategy of Implementation J.
Stephen Heinen, Eugene Jacobson(1976) said More successful utilization of little gatherings or groups
in an association has been recommended as a method for expanding inspiration at work, through
promising more prominent association and self rule in choice making, and for adapting to the dynamic
complexities of hierarchical life. Hierarchical and mechanical clinicians have been keen on the
comprehension and use of little gathering procedures in associations from Hawthorne researches and
Lewin s effort on team choice making.
I feel group development is the one the important thing in organizations and building a team is always
plays key role in group development as well as organizational development that four stage model is
perfectly suitable for group development in an organization. They are forming, differentiation,

Comparing The Infamy And Controversy Of The Sex Pistols
The Infamy and Controversy of The Sex Pistols Although the infamous band, The Sex Pistols, only
lasted 26 months and one album, they had no shortage of controversy. The Sex Pistols were, and still
are today, the definition of sex, drugs, and rock and roll. It did not take long for The Sex Pistols to stir
controversy in the media. From the beginning of their existence, the media portrayed them as no good
punk anarchists. As documented in the film, The Filth and The Fury by Julien Temple, it is clear why
1970 s conservative Britain would have an issue with the band. For the first time, a group ignored the
typical professionalism that was expected from the music industry (Simonelli 122) and spoke for the
working class. As mentioned in the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Punks used shock value for attention. For example, although the band has never made racist comments
or lyrics, bassist Sid Vicious was often spotted wearing swastikas. (Gildart 134 135). Their fashion
choices gave everyone another reason to talk about them. The media was putting money in their
pockets and helping them get their message across. The band members also got a kick out of the anti
punk headlines, no doubt. In some ways, the media was correct. The band encouraged violence at their
shows, Sid Vicious was even known to cut himself on stage (Simonelli 134). However, the extent that
people would go to prevent The Sex Pistols from corrupting the youth of Britain was a bit ridiculous.
Parents protested outside venues, saying they would do whatever it takes to keep The Sex Pistols from
playing, including using violence if necessary (Gildart 136 137). Due to the protests and uproar that
was caused, the band only ended up playing 5 out of the scheduled 27 shows on their Anarchy tour.
(Gildart 130). What the public did not understand is that the people who chose to go to these shows
knew what they were getting into, especially with the amount of media

A Brief Analysis on the Film King of Masks
The film King of Masks deals with and challenges the feudal idea that men are superior to women;
this ideology, as the film portrays, results in alienation, tragedy and bitterness for girls in Chinese
society and particularly the protagonist Doggie. In contrast, out of darkness, corruption, and poverty,
the goodness of humanity and the human love sprung up from the master apprentice relationship
between Wang and Doggie will ultimately reign over narrow and backward traditional notions.
Evidence that everyone desires a boy can be found throughout the film. In fact, preference for boys
over girls is not just a fad but rather deep rooted in Chinese society. Feudal ideas that men superior to
women is embedded and prevails in Chinese culture ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

The Civilizations Of Ancient Civilization
Civilization, derived from the latin word civis meaning citizen , or simply someone who lives in a city.
However, what is the difference between a group of people who live in a town and our modern
concept of civilization. To find the answer to that question we can turn to the civilizations of ancient
times. The beginning of civilization as we know it began in the Neolithic era. This era began with a
very distinct change to the way of life, from the old way of migrating constantly to wherever the food
roams to settling down in one area and growing food to sustain oneself. Yet, the first civilizations were
more than just people who stayed in the same place, grew their own food, and relied on water and
shelter. They had something that made them standout from the people around them. Each ancient
civilization had different values and cultures that led to the diverse institutions founded by these
ancient civilizations. The first ancient civilization of the Neolithic era is that of Mesopotamia.
Mesopotamia comes from the greek words meso , in between, and potami meaning river. This refers to
the location of the region of Mesopotamia which lies between the Tigress and Euphrates Rivers. The
first urban society of Mesopotamia is Sumer. One value of Sumer and of Mesopotamia is the love of
religion and the beliefs in their gods. Religion plays a huge role in the values of the Sumerians as each
large settlement has a temple where a priestly class acts as managers. Worship held a

Columbus Day And The Columbus Day
Christopher Columbus is an Italian navigator who sailed west from Spain in 1492. He was in search
for the Indies(India, China and Japan) through the waters due to hostile armies and long distances on
land. Columbus thought he landed in the Indies when he actually landed in the Bahamas, welcomed in
by the Taino(Native Americans). However, Columbus did not go there to spread Christianity, he
forced the Taino into slavery, looting them, spreading deadly diseases that killed many Natives, and
taking their land (causing other people to come to the Americas). However, Columbus day is
celebrated by Americans thanking Columbus for finding America, but should we celebrate a man for
terrorizing Native Americans? In addition, to all of this chaos, there is a huge debate going on if
Confederate monuments should be allowed to stand or be taken down. These monuments come from
the American Civil War, the North(Union) versus the South(Confederates). The South relied heavily
on agriculture, using slaves to harvest their cotton. Some historians say that the South wanted to keep
slavery, while others say that the South fought mostly for the right to decide their own affairs. Even
though the North won, the South made monuments to make Confederate soldiers be portrayed as
selfless heroes(no monuments have anything about pro slavery). Columbus day should be celebrated
and the Confederate monuments should stay because people cannot forget their history, people respect
these things for different reasons, and people do not know the real reason to why Columbus day and
Confederate monuments are really celebrated for. The Civil War and Columbus finding the Americas
will always be in our history and can never be changed even if we try. Professor Leo Killsback of
Arizona State University talked of how Columbus Day is not a time of celebration but a reminder of
historic crimes against Native Americans ; while Laura Anastasia; the author of the article
Monumental Battle , she gives an insight in how We haven t really dealt with the legacy of the Civil
War and slavery . How us, Americans supposed to learn from our mistakes and grow as a country if

Comparison Between Hurricane Katrina And Hurricane Sandy
Introduction: Life is a hurricane, and we board up to save what we can and bow low to the earth to
crouch in that small space above the dirt where the wind will not reach. We honor anniversaries of
deaths by cleaning graves and sitting next to them before fires, sharing food with those who will not
eat again. We raise children and tell them other things about who they can be and what they are worth:
to us, everything. We love each other fiercely, while we live and after we die. We survive; we are

The Impact Of Television On The Australian Economy
Introduction:
The television industry is one of the most rapidly changing media industries to date. Its evolution from
black and white, to colour, to digital and now three dimensional viewing, there is nothing slow about
its development. Focusing particularly on commercial free to air (FTA) television, the FTA television
industry plays a critical role in the Australian ecosystem. Due to its free delivery, it generates $3.2
billion per annum in economic and advertising surplus (Venture Consulting, 2015). This is why the
value of commercial FTA television to the Australian public remains high whereby FTA television is
watched by more than 14 million Australians daily (Free TV Australia, 2014). However, television
nowadays is much more than a medium of entertainment and information. It is also used as a method
for engaging in social interaction (Morely, 1986, p. 22), and this digital divide of interaction is what
harms the television industry. The launch of streaming services not only confronts the traditional
linear TV format by allowing users to select what they want to watch and when they want it, it also
broadens the offering to almost any device (Spooner, 2015). The research methods in the television
industry despite its strength as a medium, must however, walk hand in hand with the fast progression
of new technology and challenge the rise of digital omnivores.
What research has been done:
There is no doubt that the average Australian household has a variety of

The Characteristics Of Basketball Athletes In The NBA
All great basketball players have skills, and a reason that makes them great. When people think of
professional basketball players, the first word that usually comes to mind is tall. However, that is not
always the case. There are many players that are under 6 3 and while that may sound tall to us, it is
short in the world of basketball. Surprisingly, some of the shorter players are known to be better on the
court. And they re not just known for their height... many are known for the name brands they
represent. Nike, Under Armour, Adidas, and Jordan are just a few of the brands that are promoted by
these players. All great basketball players, NBA or not, are tall. Both current and past players all have
a common trait of being tall. Lebron James 6 8 , Kevin Durant 6 10 , Jimmy Butler 6 6 . All of these
players have height, and the skills that come with it. Being tall in the NBA doesn t guarantee you are
the best players, but it does give you a significant advantage. Lebron and Kevin both have
championship rings and a numerous amount of MVP s (Most Valuable Player). These awards show
what having height and the skills that come with it This can give a huge disadvantage to the rest of the
smaller guards and forwards in the NBA. Both Kevin and Lebron developed the skills of being big
men, and once it was perfected, they developed the insane art or shooting. These two players can shoot
from anywhere, that s what makes them so dominant and un guardable. Their size only adds to the fact
that smaller players can t contest them or use their bodies against them. All great players like these

Essay about Romanticism
Romanticism,
Romanticism, in a way, was a reaction against rigid Classicism, Rationalism, and Deism of the
eighteenth century. Strongest in application between 1800 and 1850, the Romantic Movement differed
from country to country and from romanticist to romanticist. Because it emphasized change it was an
atmosphere in which events occurred and came to affect not only the way humans thought and
expressed them, but also the way they lived socially and politically (Abrams, M.H. Pg. 13).
Romanticism emphasized the individual, the subjective, the irrational, the imaginative, the personal,
the spontaneous, the emotional, the visionary, and the transcendental, (Thompson, E.P. Pg. 108 109).
Among the characteristic attitudes of Romanticism ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
(Thompson, E.P. Pgs 33 34) The first phase of Romantic Movement was in Germany, which was
marked by the innovations in both content and literary style and by a preoccupation with the mystical,
the subconscious, and the supernatural. (Abrams, M.H. Pg.68) The most momentous national
movement was Germany s. The Germans rebelled not only against Napoleonic rule, but also against
the century old upper hand of French civilization. They rebelled not only against the French armies,
but also against the philosophy of the Age of Enlightenment. The years of the French Revolution and
Napoleon were, for Germany, the year of it greatest Cultural Efflorescence. (Abrams, M.H. Pg. 73)
Germany became the most romantic of all countries, and German influence spread throughout Europe.
In the nineteenth century, the Germans came to be widely regarded as intellectual leaders, like the
French had been a century before. Most of the German thought had come from nationalism in a broad
sense. A wealth of talents, including Friedrich Hölderlin, the early Johann Wolfgang von Goethe, Jean
Paul, Novalis, Ludwig Tieck, A.W. and Friedrich Schlegel, Wilhelm Heinrich Wackenroder, and
Friedrich Schelling belong to this first phase. In Revolutionary France, the Vicomte de Chateabriande
and Mme de Stael were the chief initiators of Romanticism, by virtue of

Seven Rules For Observational Research
Seven rules for observational research: how to watch people do stuff
Observational research, ethnography, or, in plain English, watching people do stuff, seems to be hot
these days. Newsweek touts it ( quot;Enough Talk, quot; August 18, 1997), which means it s getting to
be mainstream, but I find that a lot of clients aren t very comfortable with it.
Certainly, compared to traditional focus groups, mini groups, or one on one interviews, observational
research accounts for a pitiably small portion of most research budgets. Yogi Berra s famous line that
quot; You can observe a lot just by watching quot; is widely acknowledged, but observation remains
the most under utilized qualitative technique in marketing research.
One of the reasons ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
They re making lunch for their kids, the same way I would if I were in their shoes. They re waiting for
their cars to be serviced, the same way I do. If my clients are along, they begin to get very antsy at this
point, because they re seeing the same thing I am: nothing out of the ordinary.
Rule 1 for observational researchers: quot;Ordinary quot; is what you re there to observe. If you don t
go looking for something extraordinary, you won t be so anxious when it doesn t appear. What you re
really looking for are the insights hidden in quot;ordinary. quot;
Observation gives you the chance to answer those questions such as quot; What do you do when that
happens? quot; that come up all the time in focus groups. Suddenly you re not restricted by
respondents memories, or their reluctance to discuss the issue in a group, or their desire to conceal
what they really do in order to present a more admirable face to the rest of the group.
Nothing people do is quot;natural quot;
The first time you try observational research, I guarantee that you ll find yourself wondering what
there is about the things you re seeing that requires an explanation. You may watch people walking
into a retail environment. They ll walk in, look around to get their bearings, walk over to a display or
proceed down an aisle, maybe pick up an item or two or compare prices. quot;Of course, quot; you ll
say to yourself, quot;that s just what I d do in their shoes. It s just common

I. Blindness is a disorder of the eyes and the visual centers of the brain, resulting in poor to no vision.
This disability affects an estimated 10 million people in the US alone. Although many people believe
the blind see nothing but darkness, most of the blind population report seeing light and movement but
no shape or color. This is what they are able to see with their eyes, however many are also able to with
their mind s eye . Utilizing other senses and technology such as cortical implants, the blind population
is able to create images in their mind s eye .

It is the adoption of healthy lifestyle habits that will enhance well being while decreasing the risk of
disease. The six principles of wellness are social, emotional, spiritual, occupational, intellectual
wellness (Smith, Tang Nutbeam, 2006). The two principles of wellness are physical wellness and
social wellness. Physical wellness means ability to recognize the benefits of physical activities and
adopting healthy habits such as routine check ups of vital signs, a balanced diet and exercise while
avoiding the use of tobacco, drugs and excessive use of alcohol. (Floyd, Mimms Yelding 2008).
Second, social wellness is characterized by the ability of an individual to connect with other people in

How Is Rain Used In The Game Of Thrones
The Game of Thrones series has always had lots of symbolism and biblical references, but the red
wedding scene in the book and in the television show rank among the highest in terms of symbolism
and allusions. One of the biggest symbols in this chapter is the rain that is described in the beginning
of the chapter. The rain is not just used to describe the bleak mood in the setting, but George R.R.
Martin uses it to force all of the people at the wedding into one place, for the events that are about to
unfold during the wedding. In the television show we see the mud on the ground that the rain creates
that shows the readers how dirty the people at the wedding are. Another example that happens in this
chapter is don t stand next to the hero. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In this chapter we have a lot of biblical elements coming into play. We see Harry die, and go to a
purgatory like place where he has to make a choice to keep living and fight or pass away and ride the
train to Heaven. He chooses to live and fight, this choice of him coming back to life signifies him
becoming the Christ like figure in the story. Another example that would allude to him being a Christ
like figure is that Lord Voldemort has a snake with him almost all of the time. The snake is a big
symbol of Satan, and Harry has to overcome the snake in order to become victorious. One more big
point from How to Read Literature Like a Professor in this chapter of Harry Potter is never stand next
to the hero. In the final battle scenes of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows we see almost all of our
favorite characters die. This is all because J.K. Rowling decided they needed to die in order for Harry

Books each have their own story to tell, similar to a person s story. The story never contains a final

Analysis Of Gulliver s Travels
Cameron Aiello
Professor Lund
Final Paper
14 May 2017
Throughout all of Jonathan Swift s writings there are many commonalities. One in particular that
stands out is the use of satire throughout both Gulliver s Travels , which tells the story of a series of
voyages of Lemuel Gulliver s published in 1726, and A Modest Proposal , where Swift uses the idea
of cannibalism to captivate his audience as well as focus on society s problems. Throughout Swift s
life, politics and religion had a huge impact on him and more importantly, his writing. Many of the
satires that Swift uses in his works have to do with politics and the changing ways of the Catholic
church in the 1800 s.

Swift is using this quotation to show that he cares about the poor and struggling people and he really
wants to help them. This is also a different type of writing from Swift, who usually is always
criticizing someone rather than showing empathy for them. But since Swift disagrees with the English
so much, he chooses to write about it and make those with wealth and power look evil and selfish.
Swift who chose not to make it known he was writing this satire, continues to bash England on page
509 by saying, I fortunately fell upon this proposal; which, as it is wholly new, so it hath something
solid and real, of no expence, and little trouble, full in our own power; and whereby we can incur no
danger in disobliging England: for this kind of commodity will not bear exportation; the flesh being of
too tender a consistence, to admit a long continuance in salt; although, perhaps, I could name a
country, which would be glad to eat up our whole nation without it . Here, once again Swift shows that
England has no problem with the Irish starving and not being able to survive or make money as long
as the rich and powerful are facing no hardships. Also by using the words eat up he is going back to
the idea of cannibalism, not by the poor but by the wealthy who are taking what is left of the the other
nations to become more powerful and to gain more

such as Postal Code, or City separately from the other Location information (Street Address etc) then
there is no need to subdivide it into its component attributes, and the whole Location can be
designated as a simple attribute.
▪ What are examples of other composite attributes?
Single Valued vs. Multi valued Attributes
▪ Most attributes have a single value for each entity, such as a car only has one model, a student has
only one ID number, an employee has only one data of birth. These attributes are called single valued
attributes. ▪ Sometimes an attribute can have multiple values for a single entity, for example, a doctor
may have more than one specialty (or may have only one specialty), a customer may have more than
one mobile phone number, or they may not have one at all. These attributes are called multi valued
attributes. ▪ Multi valued attributes may have a lower and upper bounds to constrain the number of
values allowed. For example, a doctor must have at least one specialty, but no more than 3 specialties.
Stored vs. Derived Attributes
▪ If an attribute can be calculated using the value of another attribute, they are called derived
attributes. ▪ The attribute that is used to derive the attribute is called a stored attribute. ▪ Derived
attributes are not stored in the file, but can be derived when needed from the stored

Developing Technologies For Fossil Fuel
ESL Course:
Bioenergy from microalgae
Introduction:
The past two decades biofuels hold much promise in alleviating climate change, greenhouse effect and
in finite amount. Their combustion produces gaseous products: carbon dioxide (CO2) and methane
(CH4) that increase the amount of solar heat trapped within the planet‫׳‬s atmosphere (T.R. Karl, 2003).
It has also been predicted that the oil reserves may run out by 2050 (Harun et al., 2010). First
generation bioethanol seemed to be alternative for fossil fuel. However, production of bioethanol from
food crops leads to impact on food supplies, as well as rainforest and arable land. It leads to increased
deforestation and food vs fuel debate (Cassman and Liska, 2007 and Fargione et al., ... Show more

Furthermore, the cultivation of lignocellulosic biomass may occupy the arable land, which is required
for the production of edible crops. On the other hand, bioethanol produced from microalgae
considered as third and fourth generation feedstock which is less resistant to conversion from plant
biomass into simple sugars. Some microalgae have high carbohydrates contents in their cell wall and
there is no lignin and hemicelluloses content, in their cytoplasm with starch as the main carbohydrates
source (Rosenberg et al., 2008 and Subhadra and Edwards, 2010). Consequently, the conversion of
carbohydrates contained in seaweeds into ethanol does not require delignification. Moreover, the
cultivation of seaweeds does not invade arable land and potable water (Mitsunori Yanagisawa). Based
on these characteristics, seaweeds have been proposed as some of the most promising raw materials
for efficient bioethanol production that would not compete with food.
Carbohydrate composition in microalgae:
Starch:
Starch acts as an energy reserve in mostly green algae and some other groups of algae. Starches
contains α glucans and are constituted of two molecules: amylose, and amylopectin (Stick and

resource and its composition varies with the division. Chlorophyta composed of amylopectin and
amylose and based on amylose content Cryptophyta is

Oskar Schindler s Actions During the Holocaust Essay...
Oskar Schindler s Actions During the Holocaust
The Holocaust usually refers to Nazi Germany s systematic genocide of various peoples during the
Second World War, the main target of this designed massacre being the Jews. Approximately 6 million
Jews became the victims of this fanatical racism, slaughter, and cruelty. However, in all this madness,
there were still a few people with sound conscience and courage to act against these atrocities. The
most famous of these heroes would be Oskar Schindler, the once opportunistic businessman who,
later, spent every last of his pennies to save his 1200 Schindler Jews. People often deliberate on why

In order to keep his Jews out of the death camps, Schindler spent a sum of 4 million German marks
which was an enormous sum of money for those times. People ask why. They ask why such a greedy
opportunistic person changed his way of living and spent the whole of his life and his money to save
the Jews. When asked this question in person, Schindler replied as follows.
I hated the brutality, the sadism, and the insanity of Nazism. I just couldn t stand by and see people
destroyed. I did what I could, what I had to do, what my conscience told me I must do. That s all there
is to it. Really, nothing more.
Like he said, that was all there was to the reason for Schindler s actions. Schindler believed that the
Germans were doing wrong when they started killing innocent people, and, therefore, did what was
right, which was trying to save as many victims as possible.
Any person with a sound mind and a sound conscience would have realized what Schindler had
realized. However, during this period of intense cruelty, the vast majority of German citizens stood by
and watched as their Jewish neighbors were dragged from their homes, stripped of their belongings,
and killed. Two famous psychological experiments illustrate why no one else did what Oskar
Schindler did.

between obedience to authority and personal conscience. The experiment began in July 1961, a

Henry And Edsel The Creation Of The Ford Empire Summary
Sterling Ransom
History 17B
Professor Lupo
Bak, Richard. Henry and Edsel: The Creation of the Ford Empire, New Jersey: John Wiley Sons, 2003
The year 1847 can be said to mark the true hardscrabble beginnings of the Henry Ford story. Bak tells
the story of Henry and Edsel Ford and how the Ford Empire was created. Bak talks about how Henry
wanted to build an automobile that Americans would want to buy that was durable, stabile, and
reliable.
In the early life of Henry he left his family s farm to go work in a factory as an apprentice with the
Michigan Car Company when he was seventeen years old. His father William Ford wasn t happy with
his son decision to leave the farm, but he thought it would be good for Henry to see the life in the
dirty, hectic confines of the city. Pg(10) After three years in the city Henry returned to the farm but
took a job working on steam engines for trains, later on Henry would get the same concept to make
the Model T car. Henry Ford was hired as an engineer with the Edison Illuminating Company in 1891.
He knew that in order to create a road vehicle, which was his goal he needed to understand the nascent

Trying to convert wagons and carriages into a car body and fitting an engine of some type into it was
just the start of the battle. Henry cared nothing about being first in the burgeoning automobile game.
He was willing to take his time to create the most practical car. After being promoted to chief
engineer, he had more time to work on making a little gasoline engine out of scrap. These experiments
ended up in 1896 when he completed his self propelled vehicle and named it Ford Quadricycle. On
June 4, he test drove the vehicle several times and came out with various methods to improve the

The Pros And Cons Of The North Dakota Pipeline
The environment is a very important thing to take care of and can be very fragile. In the recent years
humanity hasn t been doing much to take care of the earth, and instead is destroying it in the name of
progress. One of the harmful things that could really impact the environment is the North Dakota
Pipeline. Some facts about the pipeline is that it is owned by Energy Transfer Partners who are the
owners of Sunoco. Sunoco has had multiple onshore pipeline leaks and disasters that have devastated
many environments. The planned pipeline is going to be 1,134 miles long and will cut through North
Dakota, South Dakota, Iowa, and Illinois, by doing that it crosses fifty counties in total. Pipelines in
general aren t really the most reliable things ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

water, there is always a chance it could have problems and leak, pollution to the environment around
it, and it is owned by a company that has a record of oil spills. The Native American tribe (The
Standing Rock Sioux) have been protesting this pipeline since April 2016 and it has come up in the
news time and again but as one knows the news doesn t tell the whole truth or both sides. The tribe is
protesting because they say the pipeline will disrupt their ancestors ancient burial ground that used to

Spending by university students has been known as a...
Spending by university students has been known as a significant component of entire consumer
spending in the South Africa. According to() it is estimated that university students, i.e., full time
students registered in third year institutions, who signify about one third of all students, spend more
money on important items such as rent, food, clothes, cell phones, tuition, and books. Others spend
their money on extras (Ring 1997).
Spending by university students may be very vital to local societies because numerous residential
institutions are big relative to the size of their mass community. These institutions are often seen as
essential players in the local economy through recent spending and employment and also as
prospective catalysts ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
These changing approaches toward the use of credit recommend that today s university students are
likely to spend more than students in the past because spending by today s students is less controlled
by up to date income and possessions.
Definition: Popular culture is the accumulated store of cultural products such as music, art, literature,
fashion, dance, film, television, and radio that are consumed primarily by non elite groups such as the
working, lower, and middle class. There are two opposing sociological arguments in relation to
popular culture. One argument is that popular culture is used by the elites (who tend to control the
mass media and popular culture outlets) to control those below them because it dulls people s minds,
making them passive and easy to control. A second argument is just the opposite, that popular culture
is a vehicle for rebellion against the culture of dominant groups.
Definition of American Pop Culture by Sam Williams, eHow Contributor
Popular culture, often negatively called group think, can influence purchasing decisions and lifestyle
choices. American pop culture is the attitudes and perspectives shared by the majority of United States
citizens. These ideals are predominately fueled my mass media outlets. The term group think is used

Article Analysis Of Tax Cuts
NAME OF ARTICLE: Tax Cuts, Sold as Fuel for Growth, Widen Gap between Rich and Poor
SOURCE OF ARTICLE: The New York Times
DATE OF PUBLICATION: 3rd October 2017
Overview of the article:
The article brings the information on board that tax cuts increase inequality. They lead to the widening
of the gap between the poor and the rich thereby decreasing per capita income and regional balance.
Lower taxes encourage the executive officials and top earners to increase their income through
manipulation of the systems and putting each decision with the aim of increasing their earnings.
How the article relates to the course:
Economics mainly deals with an analysis and description of the production of commodities, their
distribution, and consumption. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The amount of tax levied on the citizens mainly determines the growth rate of a country. Lower tax
collection from the citizens will ensure that the growth rate will be decreased. An illustration is a
country such as Denmark, which keeps its taxes high hence increasing the growth of its economy.
Massive tax cuts, on the other hand, does not result in economic growth.
What will you remember from the article?
Today, one percent of the total global population takes more than twenty percent of the global
economy, which is twice the fateful dinner. An increase in the taxes leads to a massive economic
growth of a country. On the other hand, lower rates of tax in any country leads to slow economic
development, thus resulting in economic stagnation of such country. The top earners always modify
their salaries to decrease the tax rates, which are imposed on them. They, therefore, evade paying tax
or pay minimal tax which further leads to widening of the gap between the rich and the poor.

Elements Relevant To All Crimes Essay
1. Discuss the elements relevant to all crime
The elements common to all crimes are mens rea meaning guilty mind and actus rea meaning the
guilty act or the thing done. A crime is committed when a person commits a guilty act accompanied by
a guilty mind.
2. Discuss how society deals with lawbreakers.
Offences are classified in 3 categories. There are hybrid offences, summary conviction offenses and
indictable offences. Indictable offences are the most severe offences including murder, theft or fraud
over $5000. Jail time is usually the outcome if guilty. Summary conviction offences are the most
minor offences and can be proceeded without a jury trial. They are punishable by a fine of up to $5000
or 6 months in jail or both. When a hybrid ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The UCR is a listing of incidents in a police jurisdiction that are forwarded to Ottawa and grouped
together to get a total of the number of crimes reported in Canada. Some criticisms of the UCR are
that many incidents are never reported. The NCVS doesn t involve police or enter official stats. It
measures the extent of crimes by focusing on the victims. Some criticisms of the NCVS is that some
victims may fail to report or lie and it does not measure victimless crimes such as drug abuse,
gambling, etc. Self Report Surveys ask people to report their own crimes without the use of names.
The promise of confidentiality encourages people to accurately describe their illegal activities.
4. Discuss the process of Classical criminology?
Classical criminology is the idea that people have free will in making decisions and that punishment
can be a deterrent for a crime as long as the punishment is proportional, fits the crime and is carried
out promptly. Criminals are in charge of their behaviour, they choose to commit crimes and they can
be deterred by the threat of a punishment. A criminal will decide against committing a crime because
of fear of punishment.

How Did The British Influence On American Culture
The transformation of administration architecture during independence and colonization
Politics has always been closely related to the transformations of architecture styles. The transition of
one region s political dynamics will certainly influence the exterior forms and the structural
connotations of the symbolic buildings. Different kind of political changes will also result different
kind of architectural stylistic shift. The independence of Turkey as a new nation and the colonization
of India by the British empire reflected the influence of political changes in architecture and how new
architecture style is introduced during such periods.
The independence of Turkey and its early development as a country full of energetic youth required a
combination of two almost contradictory ideals : In order to illustrate its disassociation with the past
Ottoman authority the new government desired international style which expresses scientific
modernization and political liberation; However, the Kemalists also wanted to preserve a certain
degree of cultural root in order to boost, if not, maintain nationalistic devotion of its citizens.
Consequently, a new hybridization of theses two ideals emerged ... Show more content on

After claiming India, the British who are influenced by the orientalism perceived the mysterious
Eastern culture as intellectually inferior. As a result, the western colonizers often consider the Eastern
culture unable to advance on their own and therefore must be governed by a more sophisticated
society. The political authority was taken by the British administration because of the western s
technology and gunnery, and rules were implemented without the affirmation of the native population.
Consequently, a new architecture style was introduced and the administration buildings during the
colonial age reflect the colonizer s intention to glorify the

The United States Marine Corps was established on November 10, 1775, to strengthen the naval
forces in the Revolutionary War. Captain Samuel Nicholas set up the first recruiting station in the Tun
Tavern on Water Street in Philadelphia, which is the birthplace of the Marines. (military.com) At the

They transform citizens into America s best Marines. From our music to our mantras, from our
cadences to our creed, these are the traditions of a proud and distinguished warrior class.
(marines.com)
Although missions may change over time, what will remain constant is their unchanging commitment
to protecting the lives of American citizens and the interests of the United States of America. Their
purpose is to be this nation s rapid response force; they are called to be the most ready when the nation
is least ready. From relief efforts to combat operations from the air, land and sea the Marine Corps is
ready to answer the nation s call. (marines.com)
The Marines have three major impacts: National, Worldwide and Community. Marines have fought in
all of America s wars and conflicts from the American Revolution to the War on Terrorism. They are
the America s first line of defense. They are the most efficient and effective response option when
unexpected threats face America. The United States Marine Corps maintains a constant state of being
prepared. The American people believe that when a crisis emerges, Marines will be present and will
invariably turn in a performance that is dramatically and decisively successful not most of the time,
but always. The investment in the Marine Corps continues to be an investment in the character of the
young people of our country. (General James F. Amos, 35th Commandant of the Marine Corps)

The Legality Of Abortion In The United States
This paper will explore the opinions of older and younger American adults regarding abortion.
Abortion has long been a topic of strong debate and gray areas. There are many laws put into place
stipulating aspects of the legality of abortion. It is often assumed that those of the younger generation
identify as pro choice, meaning they agree with the legality of abortion. On the other end of the
spectrum, it is speculated that older adults lean more toward being pro life, meaning they do not agree
with the legality of abortion. I predict that older adults (40 years of age and older) will identify as pro
life more than younger adults (18 25). I will analyze previous research that has been done, as well as
interpret surveys conducted by myself. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Being twenty something or impoverished adds to the likelihood of a woman getting an abortion. Gilda
Sedgh performed a study in order to obtain the statistics of the average age of women seeking
abortions throughout 405 countries. These were her findings: Of the 45 countries with information on
the distribution of abortions by age, 40 classified women in five year age groups at least through age
34 in the most recent year for which data were available.* For 18 of these, the greatest proportion of
abortions that year occurred among women aged 20 24 (21 34%; Table 1, pages 144 145); for another
13, the greatest proportion was among women aged 25 29 (22 34%); and for six, the greatest
proportion was among women aged 30 34 (22 26%). At this point in time, 60% of abortions are
obtained by women in their twenties. 75% of all abortions in the United States are performed on low
income and poor individuals. In 2014, according to guttmacher.org, 39% of the women were white,
28% were black, 25% were Hispanic, 6% were Asian or Pacific Islander, and 3% were of some other

  • 2. Anti Federalists Vs. Federal Republicans Essay In modern America, many citizens hold to the notion that the Constitution was adopted unanimously, without debate or disagreement. Not only is this not the case, the debate and disagreement that took place during the institution of the governing articles for the newly formed country are ultimately responsible for the system we have in place today as the concerns and counterpoints raised in the discussion were more crucial to the successful continuance of stability in the nation than any unanimous decision. Given the apparent import of such discussion, it is therefore prudent to examine the original points of contention to determine their merit and to further ensure that the concerns originally raised have been addressed sufficiently. These discussions and debates often took place between two specific groups, the Federalists, and their opponents who they termed the Anti Federalists. However, these so called Anti Federalists would have referred to themselves as Democratic Republicans or Federal Republicans, so they will be referenced in this vein. On the side of the Federalists were men such as James Madison, Alexander Hamilton, George Washington, Gouverneur Morris, and other proponents of a centralized Federal government. The opposition to these ideals was led by men like Thomas Jefferson, Samuel Adams, Patrick Henry, Richard Henry Lee, and other state governors, farmers, and craftsmen concerned about the powers being allocated to the proposed central government. • 3. What Is The Role Of American Women In The Early 20th Century Before the 20th century, the constrictions of the private sphere limited the roles of American women to those that related to domesticity. These roles included child bearing, rearing, cleaning, cooking, and tending to their husbands. This meant that women tended to set aside their hopes and dreams for a future that would extend beyond their lives of domesticity in order to focus solely on their home life. However, at the beginning of the 20th century women took it upon themselves to move away from the private sphere as they began to challenge their traditional roles. Consequently, women became increasingly involved in the public sphere fighting for various significant causes and aiding to their movement as strikers, suffragists, and protesters. The photographs portray distinct groups of early 20th century American women in their struggle to transition from the private sphere into the public sphere with each group of women participating and contributing to this movement in different ways. At the beginning of the 20th century, different groups of American women from diverse socioeconomic backgrounds entered the public sphere and did so by protesting against various injustices. Each group of women decided to take to the streets as a result of these injustices and in order to accomplish their objectives. To begin with, working class women, mostly young immigrant women, decided to take to the streets to strike primarily in regards to the low salaries as well as the deplorable ... Based on the results of your medical evaluations, I believe an exercise prescription is a viable option to help you reach your health and general fitness goals. I am excited for the opportunity to work with you and think you have made an excellent choice to pursue exercise as a treatment option. I like to stress with my clients that, although the goal is to get you exercising on your own, I am here to teach and support you so that you are comfortable and confident that you are making decisions that will impact your health in a positive way. Although my services are science based and effective, it is crucial that you do not use them as a replacement for general medical care from your physician. Exercise is a significant component to health in many ways. In the United States, the leading causes of premature death are primarily diseases of the heart and circulatory systems. Diseases of utmost significance are coronary artery disease, stroke, type II diabetes, and cancer. More and more evidence suggests that the increase in deaths with each of these conditions is correlated with a decrease in the amount of exercise performed by the general population. The good news is that you have taken the first step toward reversing this trend and I can help you achieve success. Vast amounts of research suggest exercise can help mitigate your risk for cardiovascular ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 5. Comparision of Barbie Doll by Marge Piercy and Suicide... The poem Barbie Doll by Marge Piercy and Suicide Note by Janice Mirikitani are both about how two young women could no long take the pressures society placed upon them. Although the two poems have a very different tone, language, and structure the same underlying theme exists. In both poems the girls struggle to be perfect and to conform to the desires of others. Both women in the poems ultimately commit suicide because they can no longer live with the criticism and lack of acceptance that they face. These two young women represent a whole world of young females and males who are weighed down by society s pressure to be flawless. As members of society, which especially includes parents with young children we need to assure the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The girl was told to diet, exercise, and use flattery to get what she wants (Piercy, 867). She tried to conform and be everything that is expected, but eventually her good nature wore down. Being told what and how to be from a young age will take its toll on any person especially an impressionable teenager. Being that I have experienced these pressures, although not to the same extent as the girl in Piercy s poem, I can safely say that young adolescents tend to be quite multifaceted and sensitive which explains why criticism about one s appearance can damage their morale. This girl no longer had the will to battle the burdens she was feeling and the lines So she cut off her nose and legs and offered them up make reference to the fact that she committed suicide (Piercy, 867). I get the feeling in the last stanza that the girl may have had some physically altering surgery sometime before she took her life. Ironically, it is only when the young woman is lying dead in a casket that people begin to acknowledge her beauty. The last line is a very powerful one To every woman a happy ending (Piercy, 867). I disagree that the subject of the poem truly had a happy ending, but I do not feel the author meant it literally either. It seems the author means to deject the people in the girl s life who only saw her flaws and not her true beauty and intelligence. The title Barbie Doll is appropriate because society metaphorically compares women to the look of ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 6. Who Is Man s Worst Enemy In Macbeth Man s Worst Enemy Annika Boehme Ambition is like water. Humans need it to live but too little will weaken and kill you. Conversely, too much and you ll drown. (Unknown). Ambition can drive individuals to do prodigious things. However, when pursued with overconfidence and lust for power, ambition can lead to extreme actions that can affect oneself and the people around them. In the play Macbeth, Shakespeare discusses the idea regarding the impact an individual s ambition has on themself and others. Macbeth was promised or cursed by three witches that he would obtain more power and would one day be the King of Scotland. When Macbeth heard that he would one day be king, he decided to murder King Duncan in order to secure that position for himself, after having been encouraged by his wife. With the curse from the three witches, Macbeth began a domino effect of events in an effort to remain king, which drove both him and Lady Macbeth crazy as they realized their greed led to their tragic downfall. This can be seen when Macbeth murdered his friend Banquo and his murderous deeds came back to haunt them. Not only did these murders have a toll on Macbeth but the weight of these murders was on Lady Macbeth as well. Following the murder of Banquo, Lady Macbeth was found sleepwalking and trying to wash her hands of the King s blood. Lo you, here she comes. • 7. Alka Seltzer Research Paper Alka Seltzer is a medicine that acts as a pain reliever and an antacid. Antacids are used to help neutralize the acids in the stomach and help treat acid reflux, heartburn, indigestion, and gastritis. The tablets contain sodium bicarbonate (NaHCO3) and citric acid (C6H8O7). The sodium bicarbonate is a base that helps neutralize the acids in the stomach, mainly hydrochloric acid (HCl). It does this by the following reaction: Na3C3H5O7(aq) + 3HCl(aq) H3C3H5O7(aq) + 3NaCl(aq). When the tablets are dropped into the water, a reaction occurs in which water (H2O), sodium citrate (Na3C6H5O7), and carbon dioxide (CO2) are formed. • 8. Are We The Dumbest Generation Analysis Are we the Dumbest Generation? Americans today look back and realize how much technology has advanced. The big question is whether this technology is affecting our way of thinking. Or like some authors politicians and older generations say dumb. So why is it that we are considered the dumbest generation, won t we just grow up and call the next generation dumb? Older generations (over 30) believe that people under 30 are the dumbest generation, but if you think about it that s what each generation has said about the previous, making it a pointless and incorrect statement said by the elderly. It is said we are the dumbest generation, but that s something that is apparently said about every generation. And that is exactly what R Smith Simpson is saying. He says there seems to be a lack of knowledge, when people were asked questions they d reply with the thinnest recital of facts some couldn t even discuss them at all. Although Simpson doesn t provide a direct quote to indicate that each generation is going to be considered dumb by the previous; we take in consideration the year he wrote this and compare it to the rest of the articles we conclude each generation will be seen as the dumbest. • 9. Existentialism and the Power and the Glory Traditionally, Christian literary works are set in an idealized Christian reality, based upon values sourced from scripture. In this reality, the Deus ex Machina is strictly literal, admitting at any needed time a supernatural element to the story which, in all functionality, serves as miracle, in either pivot of the plot or in character arc. It s a cliché of storytelling that has become heavily condescended by readers and critics because it leaves little challenge, application, or relation to both the characters in the story and the impact it makes on the audience. They re experiences that a normal individual could never expect to have, leading many to frustration and confusion. Graham Greene plants The Power and the Glory firmly in reality, and while we still may find his character s experiences outside of likelihood in context of our own, they remain realistic. They doubt God for good reason, and for the same reason they believe. Their inner struggles are complex and anchored with honesty. The easy path is not taken here. The Power and the Glory is set in revolutionary Mexico, in a time of persecution and political turmoil. Poverty and crime is rampant, common liberties are threatened, and the hearts of everyone are heavy. The transgressions Greene s characters experience already exceed most of our own, helping us see our common struggles in a more legitimate, harsh light. They more than ever have reason to be discouraged, and anything that can turn their calloused ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

However the task of bringing this up to the woman appears too daunting for Prufrock, and as his insecurities overtake him, he fails to gather the courage to ask her. The Sex Pistols were, and still are today, the definition of sex, drugs, and rock and roll. It did not take long for The Sex Pistols to stir controversy in the media. From the beginning of their existence, the media portrayed them as no good punk anarchists. As documented in the film, The Filth and The Fury by Julien Temple, it is clear why 1970 s conservative Britain would have an issue with the band. • 15. The Civilizations Of Ancient Civilization Civilization, derived from the latin word civis meaning citizen , or simply someone who lives in a city. However, what is the difference between a group of people who live in a town and our modern concept of civilization. To find the answer to that question we can turn to the civilizations of ancient times. The beginning of civilization as we know it began in the Neolithic era. This era began with a very distinct change to the way of life, from the old way of migrating constantly to wherever the food roams to settling down in one area and growing food to sustain oneself. Yet, the first civilizations were more than just people who stayed in the same place, grew their own food, and relied on water and shelter. They had something that made them standout from the people around them. Each ancient civilization had different values and cultures that led to the diverse institutions founded by these ancient civilizations. The first ancient civilization of the Neolithic era is that of Mesopotamia. Mesopotamia comes from the greek words meso , in between, and potami meaning river. This refers to the location of the region of Mesopotamia which lies between the Tigress and Euphrates Rivers. The first urban society of Mesopotamia is Sumer. One value of Sumer and of Mesopotamia is the love of religion and the beliefs in their gods. • 16. Columbus Day And The Columbus Day Christopher Columbus is an Italian navigator who sailed west from Spain in 1492. He was in search for the Indies(India, China and Japan) through the waters due to hostile armies and long distances on land. Columbus thought he landed in the Indies when he actually landed in the Bahamas, welcomed in by the Taino(Native Americans). However, Columbus did not go there to spread Christianity, he forced the Taino into slavery, looting them, spreading deadly diseases that killed many Natives, and taking their land (causing other people to come to the Americas). However, Columbus day is celebrated by Americans thanking Columbus for finding America, but should we celebrate a man for terrorizing Native Americans? In addition, to all of this chaos, there is a huge debate going on if Confederate monuments should be allowed to stand or be taken down. These monuments come from the American Civil War, the North(Union) versus the South(Confederates). The South relied heavily on agriculture, using slaves to harvest their cotton. Some historians say that the South wanted to keep slavery, while others say that the South fought mostly for the right to decide their own affairs. Even though the North won, the South made monuments to make Confederate soldiers be portrayed as selfless heroes(no monuments have anything about pro slavery). Columbus day should be celebrated and the Confederate monuments should stay because people cannot forget their history, people respect these things for different reasons, and people do not know the real reason to why Columbus day and Confederate monuments are really celebrated for. The Civil War and Columbus finding the Americas will always be in our history and can never be changed even if we try. Professor Leo Killsback of Arizona State University talked of how Columbus Day is not a time of celebration but a reminder of historic crimes against Native Americans ; while Laura Anastasia; the author of the article Monumental Battle , she gives an insight in how We haven t really dealt with the legacy of the Civil War and slavery . We raise children and tell them other things about who they can be and what they are worth: to us, everything. We love each other fiercely, while we live and after we die. We survive; we are savages (Ward, 2013). Before Hurricane Katrina in August of 2005 and Hurricane Sandy in 2012, New Orleans and New Jersey both boasted a thriving tourism industry. • 20. The Impact Of Television On The Australian Economy Introduction: The television industry is one of the most rapidly changing media industries to date. Its evolution from black and white, to colour, to digital and now three dimensional viewing, there is nothing slow about its development. Focusing particularly on commercial free to air (FTA) television, the FTA television industry plays a critical role in the Australian ecosystem. Due to its free delivery, it generates $3.2 billion per annum in economic and advertising surplus (Venture Consulting, 2015). This is why the value of commercial FTA television to the Australian public remains high whereby FTA television is watched by more than 14 million Australians daily (Free TV Australia, 2014). However, television nowadays is much more than a medium of entertainment and information. It is also used as a method for engaging in social interaction (Morely, 1986, p. 22), and this digital divide of interaction is what harms the television industry. The launch of streaming services not only confronts the traditional linear TV format by allowing users to select what they want to watch and when they want it, it also broadens the offering to almost any device (Spooner, 2015). The research methods in the television industry despite its strength as a medium, must however, walk hand in hand with the fast progression of new technology and challenge the rise of digital omnivores. What research has been done: There is no doubt that the average Australian household has a variety of ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 21. The Characteristics Of Basketball Athletes In The NBA All great basketball players have skills, and a reason that makes them great. When people think of professional basketball players, the first word that usually comes to mind is tall. However, that is not always the case. There are many players that are under 6 3 and while that may sound tall to us, it is short in the world of basketball. Surprisingly, some of the shorter players are known to be better on the court. And they re not just known for their height... many are known for the name brands they represent. Nike, Under Armour, Adidas, and Jordan are just a few of the brands that are promoted by these players. All great basketball players, NBA or not, are tall. Both current and past players all have a common trait of being tall. Lebron James 6 8 , Kevin Durant 6 10 , Jimmy Butler 6 6 . All of these players have height, and the skills that come with it. Being tall in the NBA doesn t guarantee you are the best players, but it does give you a significant advantage. Lebron and Kevin both have championship rings and a numerous amount of MVP s (Most Valuable Player). These awards show what having height and the skills that come with it This can give a huge disadvantage to the rest of the smaller guards and forwards in the NBA. Both Kevin and Lebron developed the skills of being big men, and once it was perfected, they developed the insane art or shooting. These two players can shoot from anywhere, that s what makes them so dominant and un guardable. Their size only adds to the fact that smaller players can t contest them or use their bodies against them. All great players like these have height and the skills that come with it. All great basketball players can be short . Guards, these are the faster, quicker, and I think more lethal players in basketball. All guards have a similar trait of being short or shorter than most players. These short guards like Steph Curry 6 3, Damian Lillard 6 3, and Isiah Thomas 5 9, obviously don t have the height to compete, but they do have an insane mind set and have all of the skills to be better than anyone else. These skills are passing, shooting, and dribbling. Guards are the most lethal players in all of the basketball leagues in my opinion. Stats ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Strongest in application between 1800 and 1850, the Romantic Movement differed from country to country and from romanticist to romanticist. Because it emphasized change it was an atmosphere in which events occurred and came to affect not only the way humans thought and expressed them, but also the way they lived socially and politically (Abrams, M.H. Pg. 13). Romanticism emphasized the individual, the subjective, the irrational, the imaginative, the personal, the spontaneous, the emotional, the visionary, and the transcendental, (Thompson, E.P. Seven Rules For Observational Research Seven rules for observational research: how to watch people do stuff Observational research, ethnography, or, in plain English, watching people do stuff, seems to be hot these days. Newsweek touts it ( quot;Enough Talk, quot; August 18, 1997), which means it s getting to be mainstream, but I find that a lot of clients aren t very comfortable with it. Certainly, compared to traditional focus groups, mini groups, or one on one interviews, observational research accounts for a pitiably small portion of most research budgets. Rule 1 for observational researchers: quot;Ordinary quot; is what you re there to observe. If you don t go looking for something extraordinary, you won t be so anxious when it doesn t appear. What you re really looking for are the insights hidden in quot;ordinary. quot; Observation gives you the chance to answer those questions such as quot; What do you do when that happens? quot; that come up all the time in focus groups. Suddenly you re not restricted by respondents memories, or their reluctance to discuss the issue in a group, or their desire to conceal what they really do in order to present a more admirable face to the rest of the group. Nothing people do is quot;natural quot; The first time you try observational research, I guarantee that you ll find yourself wondering what there is about the things you re seeing that requires an explanation. You may watch people walking into a retail environment. They ll walk in, look around to get their bearings, walk over to a display or proceed down an aisle, maybe pick up an item or two or compare prices. quot;Of course, quot; you ll say to yourself, quot;that s just what I d do in their shoes. One in particular that stands out is the use of satire throughout both Gulliver s Travels , which tells the story of a series of voyages of Lemuel Gulliver s published in 1726, and A Modest Proposal , where Swift uses the idea of cannibalism to captivate his audience as well as focus on society s problems. Throughout Swift s life, politics and religion had a huge impact on him and more importantly, his writing. Swift who chose not to make it known he was writing this satire, continues to bash England on page 509 by saying, I fortunately fell upon this proposal; which, as it is wholly new, so it hath something solid and real, of no expence, and little trouble, full in our own power; and whereby we can incur no danger in disobliging England: for this kind of commodity will not bear exportation; the flesh being of too tender a consistence, to admit a long continuance in salt; although, perhaps, I could name a country, which would be glad to eat up our whole nation without it . When asked this question in person, Schindler replied as follows. I hated the brutality, the sadism, and the insanity of Nazism. I just couldn t stand by and see people destroyed. I did what I could, what I had to do, what my conscience told me I must do. That s all there is to it. Really, nothing more. How Did The British Influence On American Culture The transformation of administration architecture during independence and colonization Politics has always been closely related to the transformations of architecture styles. The transition of one region s political dynamics will certainly influence the exterior forms and the structural connotations of the symbolic buildings. Different kind of political changes will also result different kind of architectural stylistic shift. The independence of Turkey as a new nation and the colonization of India by the British empire reflected the influence of political changes in architecture and how new architecture style is introduced during such periods. It is often assumed that those of the younger generation identify as pro choice, meaning they agree with the legality of abortion. On the other end of the spectrum, it is speculated that older adults lean more toward being pro life, meaning they do not agree with the legality of abortion. I predict that older adults (40 years of age and older) will identify as pro life more than younger adults (18 25).
