Justification And Justifications Of Motive Talks Basing...
Introduction
The purpose of the paper that I am writing is to reveal accounts of excuses and justifications
within motive talks basing exposure on any and all delinquent behaviors that politicians or those
yet to attain power. Forgetting who it was that got them elected to begin with, indulgences in
uncanny behaviors, there are those who are seen as wholly incompetent of being human let alone
be in positions of power. These accounts are more than recent ranging from May 2015 to March
2016, showcasing how not all those who have been elected by the people with their false promises
did not deserve the support they got. Able to blatantly disregard all rules, laws, regulations bending
the law just to accommodate themselves, where anyone else would normally be prosecuted. Three
accounts analyzing articles will be developed upon in this paper the first, condemning the
condemner, the second, appeal to higher loyalty, and lastly, scapegoating. Each of these accounts is
directly represented by their respective articles and how power absentmindedly leads to corruption.
Definitions Section The commonsense definition of motives that I had before the course was that
motives can be seen as the reasons that enable us to make certain decisions regarding our actions.
To me a motive was or could be looked at as an incentive, something that could push a human in
terms of having made a clear and definitive reason for undertaking or embarking on certain
endeavors. Being the reason why one

The And Social Context Of Europe During A Post World War...
What is the role of consumerism in The Visit?
This piece is a direct examination of consumerism. On a broader scheme, The Visit surveys the
social context of Europe in a Post World War II environment. Like many play writers, Durrenmatt
demonstrates that his play, like all cultural manifestations, is a product of the socioeconomic and
hence ideological conditions of the time and place in which it was written, whether or not the
author intended it so. Because human beings are themselves products of their socioeconomic and
ideological environment, it is assumed that authors cannot help but create works that embody
ideology of some form. (Tyson 66). The consequential setting was one of reconstruction of the
nation state through finance ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This encircling social framework of materialism and yield is insightful of the drama s thematic
significance. It is also demonstrative of the perspective that administrates the development and
expansion of all cultures and the persons within it. The townspeople slowly begin to accept the
idea of consumerism and are depicted wearing new shoes. The possibility of so much capital
seduces the town people into procuring services via credit, overlooking the penalties that may
follow. Claire knows that, eventually, the townspeople will advance her plan for vengeance
because of their present economic crisis and their desire for wealth.
Who is commodified and how?
Commodify can be defined as the ability to treat something that cannot be owned or that everyone
has a right to like a product that can be bought and sold. Furthmore, many Marxist insights into
human behavior involve the damaging effects of capitalism on human psychology, and those
damaging effects often appear in our relationship to the commodity. For Marxism, a commdity s
value lies not in what it can do (use value) but in the money or other commodities for which it can
be traded (exchange value) or in the social status it confers on its owner (sign exchange value)
(Tyson 62). In The Visit, Claire commodifies sex as an item that can be purchased. Claire, herself,
was also commodified when she agreed to marry an old Armenian millionaire. The millionaire s

Pros And Cons Of The NCAA
The NCAA is an easy organization to make fun of. The governing body of college sports loves to
wield its hammer of justice in the most uninformed, one sided way as possible. That is true,
although, sometimes we forget about the difficult terrain it has to navigate.
In what will almost certainly end with Mark Emmert becoming a punching bag to those who loathe
the collegiate athletic model, the NCAA is claiming that it can t mandate diversity hiring.
Let s start with the context.
In October, six members of Congress asked Emmert to address the status of a pledge the NCAA
had asked schools to sign last year in support of diversifying their hiring pools when jobs become
available. This was after Congress addressed its concerns over the majority of college coaches being
white males.
It seems like a ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Universities and colleges retain their autonomy and authority in this regard. We remain vigilant and
concerned about representational diversity of ethnic minorities and women in coaching and
athletics administration.
Here is where things get tricky and vernacular matters.
Lost in all the hatred the NCAA and Emmert receives is the fact that the organization is just an
extension of its university members. The NCAA isn t running college sports, it is overseeing it, on
behalf of the schools it represents. Or, more simply put, the actual bosses at least in the grand
scheme of things are the schools. Not the NCAA.
Emmert represents the schools. He is similar in his position as are those who oversee the NFL
and NBA. He s the face of the governing body, but he isn t the one making up the rules. He helps,
obviously, but he is meant to represent what the majority of universities want. If all schools wanted
something to be fixed, the NCAA would likely

Women s Loyalty In The Military Research Paper
I served 24 years in the Marine Corps as an infantry officer and I absolutely respect the incredibly
qualified females I had the opportunity to serve with. However, I wholeheartedly disagree with
women assigned to an infantry position. It is NOT a right to serve and we discriminate every day
in the military. If you re too tall, too short, too heavy, too light, or can t pass physical, mental, or
moral requirements then too bad, find another job. I m sure there are plenty of 6 ft, 10 in tall
people who have the mental capacity to be a fighter pilot but that doesnt mean we redesign
aircraft to support everyone who wants a shot at being a pilot. Sorry, go find another job. I believe

I served at the School of Infantry and witnessed the initial testing being conducted on females
going through infantry training. I saw outstanding young female Marines being pushed past
their capabilities only to result in injuries such as femoral head stress fractures. Injuries that will
leave some of those young women debilitated later in life. In the end, did those tests or will
adding a few women to the pool of infantrymen make us more lethal....No. If it doesn t make our
military more lethal then it doesn t make sense to do it. People seem to forget the purpose of the
military, or more specifically, the purpose of the infantry...To locate, close with, and destroy the
enemy by fire and/or maneuver. It isn t like a video game or a cheesy movie. It takes a well honed,
mentally and physically fit unit to execute the missions of the infantry. Anything that detracts from
that creates a vulnerability and anything that doesn t add to that is just wasted effort. I saw a

Henley s Invictus Explication
Invictus Explication William Ernest Henley s poem Invictus primarily emphasizes the themes of
being brave, perseverant, and unconquerable. Written in traditional closed form with an abab cdcd
efef ghgh rhyme scheme, the fluidity and straightforwardness of the poem enhance Henley s
theme. Furthermore, the poems syntax allows for the meaning to be unmistakably present, clear,
and precise. The beginning of the poem Out of the night that covers me immediately gives the
poem a negative connotation. Straight from the gecko the speaker is surrounded by dark and
troubling times in his life. However, the end of the stanza changes the mood of the poem towards
an enlightening one. The speaker, although he is not privileged with an easy life, will not let this
affect him. He thanks whatever gods may be for his unconquerable soul. By thanking whatever
gods and not capitalizing the G in gods the speaker is suggesting at being agnostic.... Show more

The speaker finds himself in the fell clutch of circumstance. This stanza contains interesting word
choice from Henley. For instance, Henley uses the adjective form of the word fell which means
evil ferocity. Typically the word fell is used as a verb meaning to move downward unintentionally.
Because the verb version of fell is most common by using this word Henley is creating an image of
falling and defeat, one which enhances the readers interpretation of the poem. Moreover, the
speaker continues showing the reader his hardships, under the bludgeonings of chance. Again, much
like the first stanza, the speaker states that he will not let these predicaments stop him, emphasizing
this by stating that his head is bloody, but

Uk and Us Accounting Standards
In today s unpredictable stock markets, it is extremely important for investors to expand
investments to minimize risk and earn reasonable returns on funds. The diversification does not
have to be restricted to domestic companies because of opportunities available in foreign markets.
On the other hand, securities analysis becomes more complex because of supplementary variables
such as foreign exchange risk, political, economic, cultural diversities, etc. that need to be taken
into deliberation in making investment judgment. A significant variable in the analysis of foreign
securities is various accounting standards. The accounting standard of United States (US) and

In contrast the US structure is a fragment more complex than that of the UK. To understand
accounting standard setting in the US, one must start with the SEC (Securities and Exchange
Commission) which is a regulatory agency established in 1934 by the congress. Previous to this no
national system existed to govern the data flow of communication to investors. SEC has been
given the statutory power to promulgate accounting principles. Even though it consists of its own
policy, it does rely on the private sector in the US to establish financial reporting standards. Its role
of standard setting on financial reporting and accountancy principle guidelines is backed with its
powerful influence. Another standard setting board is the FSAB with its role to expand accounting
standards outside the profession by encouraging. As a result the main source for accounting
standards in the US internally is GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) which is
mounded by authority s pronouncement by the FASB (Financial Accounting Standards Board).
The role of the FSAB is to set up financial accounting and reporting standards in the US. The
FSAB structure is very significant around the world today as the IASC s framework and UK

Impact Of The Anti War On The Vietnam War Between 1965 And...
Year 10 Australian History
Why was Australian society divided over the issue of our involvement in the Vietnam War between
1965 and 1975? (750 1000 words)
During the decade of 1965 1975, Australian society was controversially divided over the
involvement of Australian troops in the Vietnam War. At the peak of the nations involvement, some
8,500 troops were serving for their country. Vietnam was split into the democratic north and the
communist south, which was highly supported by the USA and most of its allies such as New
Zealand and Thailand. There were three main reasons of which Australia entered the Vietnam War,
which all equally contributed eccentrically to the division of Australian societies opinions of
whether it was necessary that we as a nation become involved in the Vietnam War. These reasons
are the threat of communism, supporting the alliances with the United States of America, and
requests for the Australian troops involvement in armed conflict as well as tactical planning. The
final topic of relevance being discussed is the impact of the anti war protest beginning in 1969.
Firstly, the threat of communism was immense. There was a genuine belief and somewhat fear of
communism from Asia sprawling into Australian society. The main objective of the South East
Asia defence treaty, known as SEATO, involved preventing Southern Vietnam from becoming a
communist state by force of arms and terrorism. According to The Sydney Morning Herald (June
24, 1971),

Investing in the securities market seems like a good idea until one day you ve lost all your money
and you re hitting your head against the wall wondering where you went wrong while High
Frequency Trading firms are racking up profits by shorting the stocks you thought were going to go
up. The contention behind High Frequency Trading arises from the idea that since the individuals
and companies who have access to these supercomputers that compute complex algorithms are able
to receive information on the markets before the average investor , they are playing the field and
making it uneven. The idea behind High Frequency Trading addresses many of the essential Human
Rights course questions such as morality, one s responsibilities and duties to another, civil action,
and the human condition itself. High Frequency Trading should be eliminated from the financial
markets because it is unfair to the average investor, causes legal implications by shifting the market
to the advantage of certain firms, and lacks regulation necessary to promote an even playing field
for all investors.
Since the very beginning of High Frequency Trading, the contention of its use has been deemed
unfair to the average investor in the securities market. An example of an instance in which the
ethics of High Frequency trading can be questioned is Trillium Capital. This company engages

Alexis De Tocqueville Equality
Alexis De Tocqueville made many keen observations about America from a European perspective.
He begins by stating that Americans have mistakenly believed that with equality we can have
freedom, and that with democracy we can have liberty. America passes laws and makes decisions
based on majority rule; consequently, because of this, we may never have true equality or
democracy. For example, slavery was considered legal for hundreds of years in the United States.
This is because a majority of the people in the legislative, executive, and judiciary branches of
government were upper class white men. There may have been equality for white men, but there
was never true equality during this period of time. The rights of slaves, women, and immigrants

11, 1956). In regards to personal expression, Tocqueville thought that democracy took away from
individuality. As the number of groups of people gaining equality increases, we have begun to
take on more pride in that equality and sameness. Incidentally, we, as Americans, have begun to
concentrate less on our individuality. ...every citizen, being assimilated to all the rest, is lost in the
crowd, and nothing stands conspicuous but the great and imposing image of the people at large
(Hofner and others, p. 11, 1956). When examining this quote, one should look to the Native
Americans as a prime example. White settlers strongly desired the Native s land in order to fulfill
Manifest Destiny. In order to acquire the land, Native Americans were forcibly made to live on
reservations. They were made to operate like the majority at the time, white farmers. Settlers wanted
the Indians to assimilate in this fashion; only when they assimilated could the Natives even
consider to become American citizens. A myriad of native cultures was lost and many Indians
became the spitting image of small white

Summary Of The Play The Sapphires
The Sapphires, a film directed by Wayne Blair released in 2012, is a comedic drama based on a
true story set in 1968 about four young, talented singers from a remote aboriginal reserve, who
call themselves The Sapphires, get discovered by an unlikely talent scout. The Sapphires grasp
the chance of a lifetime when they re offered to travel to Vietnam where their all girl group will
perform for the American troops. Based on a true story, Wayne Blair brings us a story about four
young Aboriginal women who try and follow their dreams of being famous during a time where
war has taken over. In the 1950s, the Aboriginal population of Australia was considered not
human and ignored by society, aborigines were not yet accepted as citizens in Australia because
of the stereotypical image white people have created for aborigines. Which gives more meaning

Gymnasts In Gymnastics
Gymnastics is a very difficult sport that takes a lot of commitment. Many children take on
gymnastics at a young age and strive to become Olympic gymnasts by competing their whole lives,
but not a lot of people are able to pursue that dream due to the challenges that come with being a
gymnast. Coaches are currently conditioning and training their gymnasts at very demanding and
advanced levels. Although the sport has several positive health benefits on the body, it also puts
gymnasts at a very high risk of injury. It is not very common for these injuriesto be severe, however,
if they are not treated properly it is likely for them to lead to chronic pain and even bone fractures.
One of a gymnasts most common injuries is a stress fracture involving the lower back. The
medical term for this is Spondylosis. The back is a very crucial part of gymnastics, it is
constantly working hard and being used. Amongst gymnasts, the most common cause of a stress
fracture is overuse. However, they can also occur due to an awkward fall or a fall from a height.
Almost everything in gymnastics calls for a combination of great speed and power which puts any
gymnast at high risk of falling or landing wrong. Whether it s a fall or an awkward landing, the
pressure is being applied to the spine and joints, increasing the chances of injury. Back injuries in
adolescent athletes stem from repetitive stressful body movements, like bending and twisting that
can cause trauma to the spinal column. The

Liberty Bell Research Paper
The Liberty Bell is an iconic artifact in the history of American Independence and is one of the
most influential symbols of slavery during the anti slavery movement long ago in America. The
Liberty Bell has significant semblance and symbolic meaning to the independence of America.
The significance follows down the history lanes to the seventeenth century (1752), when the Bell
was used to summon the legislative sessions and alert Americans of the impending public
meetings and proclamations (Callahan pg. 78). Before the Liberty Bell got its name, it was
originally called the State House Bell. The tale that has been told is the bell ringing on July 8,
1776 from Independence Hall bringing the citizens out to listen to the first hearing of the
Declaration of Independence. The bell was made for the 50th anniversary of William Penn s

Country Music Openness
My conjecture, then, is that country music functions in part to reinforce in low openness
individuals the idea that life s most powerful, meaningful experiences are precisely those to which
conservative personalities living conventional lives are most likely to have access. This excerpt is
from an essay titled Country Music, Openness to Experience, and the Psychology of the Culture
War, in which the author, Will Wilkinson, is arguing that country music
is made solely for
conservative ears. Reading such a statement is perplexing. The author is telling the audience that
country music is made for close minded individuals who seek comfort in the little things in life
because the changing world around them is too frightening.

Job Satisfaction In Organizational Psychology
Job Satisfaction in Organizational Psychology Job satisfaction can be known to some people as
an important element in their lives. If an individual is unhappy with their occupation it may
affect other parts of their life. Job satisfaction can be seen in what one wants in a job as to what
one has in their current job. Definition of Job Satisfaction Job satisfaction can be defined as an
attitude or feeling one can have toward ones job. Job satisfaction is the extent to which people like
(satisfaction) or dislike (dissatisfaction) in their jobs. (Spector 1997) One of the biggest studies in
job satisfaction was the Hawthorne studies which were credited to Elton Mayo in the year s
nineteen twenty four to nineteen fifty three. Elton... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Job satisfaction is one of the most frequently measured organization variables. Organizations use
these measurements to determine how satisfied their employees are and researchers use this
information to determine if the job satisfaction or the lack of job satisfaction is a situational
perspective or interactional perspective. Organizational commitment is critical to organizations
due to the desire to retain a strong workforce. Organizations want to know why employees stay or
leave their organizations so if correction is needed they have some tools to proceed with the
correction. High turnover of employees in an organization can determine if an organization is
successful or not. While turnover is related to all three areas of commitment researchers have
determined that Affective commitment is one most associated with absenteeism and organizational
citizenship (Williams J. 2004). Example on Organizational Commitment to Positively Impact Job
Satisfaction At times employees go to work each day knowing they have to complete the daily
task of doing so. Some individuals may not like their current job or what occupation they currently
hold for one reason or another. At times, it may not be the fact they may not like their job, but the
working conditions, policies or even the people they make work with. Job satisfaction and
organizational commitment are two of the most important roles people live with each and every day.

Social Security Is The Most Popular Government Program
What Is Social Security?
Social Security is the most popular government program and touches the life of every worker in
America, but most people know little or nothing about how it operates. The following discussion
explains what Social Security is and how it operates.
Social Security s Major Programs.
While most discussions focus only on Social Security s retirement program, Social Security actually
consists of three major programs, all of which are administered by the Social Security
Administration. Specifically:
Retirement.Social Security s retirement program provides a lifetime monthly income for qualified
workers once they reach their full retirement age. Depending on when they were born, that age
ranges from 65 to 67. The amount of retirement benefits that a worker receives depends on his or
her income while working. Workers also have the option of receiving a lower monthly income
starting at age 62.
Survivors. Social Security s survivors program provides a monthly lifetime income to the
surviving spouse of a deceased worker once he or she reaches retirement age. The amount of the
monthly benefit depends on both spouses income while they were working. The survivors
program also pays benefits to children under the age of 18 and the surviving spouse caring for
them. Unless they are disabled, children s benefits end when the last child either reaches age 18 or
graduates from high school, whichever is later.
Disability. Social Security also pays lifetime

Examining Psychology
Time In The Mind: Examining Psychology Psychology is as ancient as mankind. The concept of
psychology has been dated back to 600 B.C. Early Greek philosophers examined, theorized human
traits and their actions; their studies are now to be considered and known as psychology. Mankind
has molded psychology throughout decades into what it is today the study of the human mind and
the way it affects one s behavior. Psychotherapy and ESP, extrasensory perception, are techniques
that are used to improve human health and well being and their efficacy is widely debated.
PSYCHOTHERAPY Psychotherapy is the treatment of mental or emotional illness by talking about
problems rather than by using medicine or drugs (Merriam Webster), thus aiding one s illness(es)

psychologists from Northern University, John Vessey, and Kenneth Howard reported, those likely
to enter therapy are female, white, educated, well paid and divorced, separated and often never

The Black Walnut Tree By Mary Oliver
The Past is Rooted
Change is inevitable; as the years go on, everything is always either improving or weakening, but
still changing. Nothing can prevent change, but there are still those who ignore it and refuse it.
Individuals refused to accept their past because they do not want to change, they want to focus on
the present. In Mary Oliver s free verse poem, The Black WalnutTree, the daughter discusses the
argument with her mother regarding the selling of their Black Walnut Tree, commenting on it s
personal history with her ancestors. In the poem, Oliver contrasts the daughter s disagreeing
perception of the mother s consumeristic urges to sell their tree with her need to preserve it and its
memories through the use of dark, gloomy word choice and varying concepts of time, illustrating
the everlasting effect and importance of one s past and ancestry on the present. The shift from a
literal to figurative tone contrasts the mother s views with those of the daughter s, commenting on
the difficulty of preserving history. Oliver introduces the mother and daughters argument in the
introduction, My mother and I debate:, including a semicolon at the end of the first stanza. The
semicolon is used as a layout for the rest of the poem, to show the words following are in fact the
debate between the speaker, the daughter, and her mother. The point of view in the daughter shifts

The Order Fulfillment Procedure For Cup Of Joe
Project Overview
For our Gemba project, we decided to analyze the order fulfillment procedure for Cup of Joe, a
coffee shop located in the Lennox Town Center. In order to capture the establishment s peak hours
of business, we primarily visited during the hours of 9:00am 12:00pm. We focused our attention on
orders for baked goods, coffee, and espresso drinks, as these products are the shop s main source
of revenue and reputation. On several separate mornings we were able to observe an average of
125 orders over three hours (a takt time of 1.44 minutes). In the evening, there were often less than
a dozen orders every hour. Since every order is slightly different, we have described the average
order and the steps in the process that are consistent in almost every situation. We have identified
multiple areas for improvement, which are referenced in the sections entitled analysis and
recommendations.
When waking up to Cup of Joe, customers are welcomed by a large statue of a coffee cup on the
roof of the building. After entering the shop, customers walk up to the counter directly in front
of them. The first section of the counter displays all of the baked goods on a glass shelf. The
customer continues walking down this aisle until he or she reaches the cash register, labeled
above by a sign reading Order Here. The customer places an order and proceeds down the aisle to
the station labeled Pick Up Here. After the barista takes the order, a second barista usually steps up

War Heroes History
For me, this answer is easy; I would not exist and I don t think we would either. Wars aren not
only fought by soldiers, but sometimes also by bankers. It is not the warriors who fight for our
freedom everyday, but by ordinary citizens with a warrior spirit. They are our neighbors, nurses,
night watchmen and news reporters who heard our nation s cry for help and stood up to answer
that call. Sisters, brothers, moms and dads to someone who love them very much as we all do.
They embody the fighting spirit inside all Americans in every home across our nation. When
asked to think of veterans, images of historical war heroes are often the first to flash into
someone s mind. So many know the history of Dan Daly, a famous Marine Sergeant who
endangered himself to save his wounded comrades and was recommended for the Medal of
Honor three separate times. There is Molly Pitcher and Patrick Henry, Ethan Allen and even
George Washington. One might even think of more contemporary heroes like Santiago Erevia,
Melvin Morris or most recently, USN Seal Edward Byers. All these heroes are famous for being
battle hardened generals and masters of the battlefield or commanders on the high seas. It is almost
universally agreed upon that these people are... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
My history textbooks give five clear cut reasons as to why America entered WWI, but it doesn t
catalogue the greatest reason of them all that ordinary americans responded to the call of duty to
fight for what they believe in. World War I and II was a harsh wakeup call for the American
public. Not only were the technologies of war advancing, the harsh realities of it were
broadcasted into the living rooms of ordinary families. Despite this, ordinary people like an
orphaned cotton picker from Texas named Audie Leon Murphy still joined the fray and we as a
nation learned that wars aren t won by nations, but by

Sexual Despotism In Susanna s Seven Husband By Ruskin Bond
Ruskin Bond, rightly observed as Wordsworth of India, has made eminent contribution to Indian
writing in English. His works, sophisticated yet simple, convey a large and complex meaning
inherent in Indian life and culture. Prominently recognized for his treatment of nature, children and
childhood in his notable works, Bond also established himself as an illustrious promoter of
feminism. Under the wrap of dark comedy, he gracefully touches on the subject of sexual despotism
and repression meted out towards women. In Susanna s Seven Husbands, he ruthlessly brings out
the subjugation that a womanfaces in a prejudiced society by subverting the established norms of
system and institution regarding the general perception of women s place in society.... Show more

Problems and Challenges Faced by Multinational...
Introductions
A multinational corporation (MNC) is a corporation that operating in two or more countries, known
as host countries but managed from one country, known as home country. Multinational
Corporation is also known as international corporation (Wikipedia, 2011). Besides that, MNC can
be defined as a corporation that derives revenues from operations in countries other than home
country (BusinessDictionary, 2011).
The objective of MNC to operate in other countries is to gain competitive advantage through
several ways. Firstly, MNC is able to take advantage of difference in country specific
circumstances. For example, MNC may choose to locate its productions in less developed country
like Vietnam to gain cheap labor cost. Secondly,... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
There is a very good example which can reflect the situation perfectly is the case happened at
Argentina in 2001, where the country has changed the government for three times in just two
weeks time due to the financial crisis that lead to collapse of the economy. Then, foreign investors
faced problems like utilities and energy as there was a new legislation against them issued by the
new government (Alvaro Mehmet, 2007).
3)Government effectiveness
According to World Bank, government effectiveness is referring to captures perceptions of the
quality of public services, the quality of the civil service and the degree of its independence from
political pressures, the quality of policy formulation and implementation, and the credibility of the
government s commitment to such policies. This is important for foreign investors because they do
not wish to pay for the deficiencies in the provision of public goods by government.
Developing country MNCs may have more experience as they used to doing so at home where
home governments do not supply them goods. Therefore, MNCs may suffer for the ineffectiveness
of the government which can lead to unexpected cost and also size of the operations being limited
in the country. LDCs have lower government effectiveness which causes the government systems
and establishments are slow and politically dependant, thus lead to lack of high quality of public
goods.
4)Regulatory quality

The Scientific Method Of An Experiment
The first lab we ever did in Biology 101 was about the scientific method. The scientific method is
used in solving everyday problems. The first part of the scientific method is to begin making
observations and asking questions about the situation. Once that is done, you should then check
some accumulated sources of scientific data to gain information about the situation. Then you must
formulate a hypothesis. In other words, the hypothesis is what will lead to the formation of a
statement that can be tested. Before any experiment can be tested, you must gather all the needed
materials and come up with a reasonable procedure to perform the experiment. Usually when a
hypothesis is being tested, a controlled experiment is the type to use. In a... Show more content on

The double blind experiment is where neither the subjects or the researchers know which is the
experimental group and which is the control group. The data collected is normally evaluated by
another researcher. The correlation versus cause and effect experiment is where relationships
between two or more variables is examined. It is easy to find a positive or negative correlation
between two or more variables, but it takes conducting an experiment to proving that one variable
causes another. A variable must be caught causing the other variable. A pseudoscience experiment
is performed to determine whether or not certain information is supported by the scientific method.
A lot of pseudoscience or fake science takes on the appearance of science but is never supported
and when it is tested under controlled conditions, most pseudoscience claims usually don t hold
up. All of these controlled experiment designs help when a hypothesis needs to be tested are they
are all commonly used in science almost every day. Overall, this was an amazing first lab to do
considering the scientific method is used to problems. Science isn t perfect and researchers are
always asking questions. Researchers will always look to using the scientific method to find those
answers!

Healthcare s Application Of Petronio s Communication...
Healthcare s Application of Petronio s Communication Privacy Management Theory
Communication privacy management theory (CPM) developed by Sandra Petronio in 1991, is
a theory about how people make decisions regarding how they reveal and/or conceal their
private information. CPM functions on the premise that individuals maintain and manage
privacy boundaries in their interpersonal communications depending on the perceived weight of
ones benefit and cost of disclosure (Bridge Schrodt, 2013). The purpose of this paper is to
demonstrate how CPM through the use of three operational theories plays a significant role in
our lives and our interpersonal communications. At its core are three operational theories that act
as guiding principles, they are simple in nature and easily defined how ownership forms
personal rules for disclosure; how we coordinate and control disclosure and relational turbulence
that occurs when individual boundary rules are at odds (Griffin, 2009, p. 121). We will explore
each theory and provide real life applications utilizing examples of how healthcare organizations
and providers use CPM in their practice. Privacy Ownership Through the use of privacy
boundaries to divide private and public information CPM contends that when we disclose private
information we depend on a rule based management system to control the level of accessibility and
privacy boundaries to govern self disclosure. As a way to manage privacy boundaries individuals

Psychoanalytic Theory Of Human Development
Psychoanalytic Theory
Psychoanalytic Theory is a theory of human development that holds that irrational, unconscious
drives and motives, often originating in childhood, underlie human behavior. It is thought to
influence every aspect of thinking and behavior, from the smallest details of life to the crucial
choices of a lifetime. Sigmund Freud is an Austrian physician who believed the stages of human
development were characterized by sexual pleasure centered on a particular part of the body.
Oral Stage (Birth to 1 year) In infancy, everything the child gets a hold of goes to their mouth.
The lips, tongue, and gums are the focus of pleasurable sensations in the baby s body. They love to
suck on their fingers or pacifier majority of the time, even in their sleep.
Anal Stage (1 3 years)
The anal is the focus of pleasurable sensations in the baby s body. During this time children are
beginning toilet training. They are now able to interpret when they need to use the restroom and
able to communicate to the parents when they need to go.
Phallic Stage (3 6 years)
During this stage, the penis is the most important body part, and pleasure is derived from genital
stimulation. This is the time when they begin to discover their genitals, girls may ask questions
while on the other hand, boys may feel a sense of pride.
Latency (6 11 years)
During this age of development sexual needs quieten down and children begin to focus on social
activities with friends.

Heroism In The Odyssey

What is a Hero? According to Umberto Eco (an Italian novelist) The real hero is always a hero by
mistake; He dreams of being an honest coward like everybody else. I think this is a magnificent
quote. In some ways I agree with Umberto Eco but in other I don t. I agree with Umberto Eco on
that heroes are always a hero by mistake with a few exceptions. One place where I don t agree
with Umberto Eco is that not every hero has dreams of being an honest coward, well some do
but others display courage, wisdom, intelligence, bravery, and their willpower to succeed. Heroes
can come in various different concepts. It all depend on what appeals to one as a hero, but now let

Odysseus displays great wisdom. In the Trojan war, (which took place somewhere around the
13th century B.C.) Odysseus displayed wisdom by tricking the trojans to think that they have

in it that surprised the Trojans at the least expected moment which made odysseus a hero for
greatly impacting the success of the Trojan war. After the war while returning home Odysseus
displayed his bravery and willpower. While Odysseus and his crew were cursed by poseidon that
they would never see Ithaca, (their homeland) like the hero he is, in their desperate times he

The Inner City Of Los Angeles
Growing up in the inner city of Los Angeles taught me many things; make sure you re inside
before the street lights come on, never wear all red or blue, and make sure you get a good
education so that one day you can leave the inner city behind. I was fortunate enough to have
both a mother and a father who stressed the importance of excelling academically because
attending an inner city, LA county, public school did not instill a love of academics in myself or
my peers. Our teachers had checked out, the curriculum was not inspiring or relatable, and
everyday there was yet another fight happening during recess. As time went on I witnessed my
classmates and I take completely different paths. The strong support system I had at home
proved effective. As I went on to go to college, many of my peers dropped out, the dismal state
of our public school system had clearly failed them. During my undergraduate studies, the stories
of my old classmates did not leave my mind. I remained deeply intrigued with the struggles of
inner city people of color and the mobility they are granted. I began to volunteer at ArtStart, a non
profit program that taught previously incarcerated youth the art of poetry, and I was immediately
intrigued by the stories of what had led these children to a life of crime at such a young age. In

The Sound Recording Amendment Act
In 1971 The U.S Congress passed the Sound Recording Amendment to the 1909 Copyright Statue.
Through this act, it was acknowledged that audio recordings were worthy of legal copyright
protection. This was the beginning of a new era for the music industry. The Sound Recording
Amendment was enacted due to the bootlegging of vinyl records in hope of preventing the coping
of music. Coincidentally, the issue of bootlegging music remains unsolved. Much of the animosity
toward our existing copyright framework stems from the unpopular tactics of the record industry,
which tries to enforce copyright laws to sustain an increasingly outmoded system. With the
introduction of the Sony Walkman in 1979, music became more limited in format while
remaining extremely versatile and convenient. Eventually, the persistent Recording Industry
Association of America (RIAA) was granted the right to earn taxes on every sale of a blank tape.
Billy Joel released his 52 Street, the first CD released in the world, and began the launch of sales
of the standard Compact Disc (CD). The 80s quickly became the most explosively successful
decade in recording audio history due to the rapid replacement of tapes by consumers. The music
industrycontinues to rise with the birth of the MP3 in 1990 followed by the introduction of the first
major audio service by RealAudio. This form of obtaining music immediately skyrockets with
popularity. The use of the Internet continues to serve the music industry useful

How I Changed My Life Forever
The one choice that changed my life forever was that our family emigrated from Hong Kong to
Canada in 1974. I was only seven years old. My Chinese name is Sau Han and this is my
immigration history. My family came to Canada for a job offer but mainly it was for a better life.
I had to leave behind many loving familymembers in Hong Kong. We also left behind our old lives,
furniture, car, apartment, and friends. Our journey began when we hopped on a JAL (Japan
airlines) jumbo jet on a sixteen hour flight to Vancouver, British Columbia with a brief stop over
in Tokyo, Japan. Everything looked foreign to us on our arrival. What we hoped in the future
was to be able to learn English, to adapt to our foreign surroundings, to settle down in our new
home, and to go back to visit our friends and relatives in Hong Kong. These challenges are just
the first of many obstacles to be faced. This immigration was not just a new beginning for my
family but also a window of opportunity for the next generation. We had an intriguing story of
how we immigrated to Canada. My family consisted of myself, my mom and dad, my older
brother, Chi Hung, my older sister, Sau Seng, and my younger brother, Chi Wai. We lived in a
descent three bedroom apartment in the New Territories, Hong Kong. On November, 1973, I
vividly remembered my dad s ex employer, Mr. Chow, called long distance from Vancouver,
Canada and offered my dad a dim sum chef position in his restaurant, the Golden

The Book s Name Is `` Smoke Gets On Your Eyes By...
Reading Project The book s name is Smoke Gets in Your Eyes. by Caitlin Doughty. It is about
author s work experience in the crematory, and the awareness and cognition of death. Caitlin
mentioned that she works in a crematorium because she wanted to overcome the fear of death.
Because when she was eight years old at Windward Mall, she saw a little girl climb up to where
the escalator met the second story railing, then she tipped over the edge and fell thirty feet, landing
face first on a laminate counter with a sickening thud (Caitlin 29). So, she lost control of death.
Maybe people fear of death because they experience some frightening things, no matter in real
life or virtual. In addition, Cicirelli said, The meanings of death and life are interdependent. Life
gains its meaning from the fact of death. How, when, where, and why one anticipates dying
influences the meaning of the life that one has. Such a view implies changing individuals over
time, and consequently a life span perspective on development of personal death meanings and
related death fears. One would expect the individual to develop different personal meanings and
death fears over the course of life from early childhood to adolescence, young adulthood, middle
adulthood, and old age ( Cicirelli 715). When I was seven years old, I fear of death because the

The Conspiracy Of Suppression Of Alternative Energy
The Conspiracy of suppression of Alternate Energy
There are many ways of alternate energy that can replace the need for oil and gas in the United
States. And the reason it could do that is because the forms of energy come from the environment
and are not harmful to it. Plus they are a lot cheaper than oil and gas prices. The government
suppresses some advanced energies for fear of their enemies getting these technologies and using
the technologies against them. So the two biggest reasons for suppressing energy are to save
money, and to keep us safe in a way. The conspiracy of the government and oil/gas corporations
suppressing free, alternate forms of energy makes sense, and there are many reasons for this; one
being, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Of course the majority of the public would start using free , clean energy sources instead of
using expensive sources of energy that harm the earth. So in order to stop that, they make
committees that go around and pick up alternate forms of energy that are invented and remove
them from public access so the people won t switch over to those energy sources. Then if the
inventor wants to patent it and make it public, they must go through the patent office and wait a
year. This is also how they slow down production of alternate energy. They make them wait a
year before making it public so they can make more money during that year. The oil and gas
monopolies are suppressing energy for the wrong reasons. They are doing it for money, and not
for the greater good. In essence if the whole public switched to alternate energy there wouldn t be
any more need for gas or oil because there are enough forms of energy to replace them. But by
stopping these alternate energies oil and gas companies can continue to make money. Alternate
energy is cheap today. For example, in California solar developers have bought contracts for
alternate energy over natural gas because it is cheaper and more efficient. Also alternate energy
produces more jobs than fossil fuels do, so the actual company itself doesn t make as much
money. That would also be another reason why companies suppress alternate energy. Also some
alternate energy prices cannot be compared to fossil fuels because they are suppressed by the
receipt of state and federal incentives. The world will be used up a lot quicker if corporations and
companies continue to suppress alternate energy just for

Personal Identity In Romeo And Juliet
In the play, Romeo and Juliet it s about the two lover s that go against their fate of two different
families that hate each other, but will soon end their relationship when Romeo and Juliet die
together. The horrible love story creates Romeo and Juliet s relationship of being loving and
caring. Shakespeare uses metaphors and symbolism to show personal identity through love. In
the play by William Shakespeare uses metaphors to show the personal identity of Romeo s
character traits of being loving and caring before Romeo meets Juliet. One quote that shows
Shakespeare uses metaphors to use personal identity before Romeo meets Juliet is when Romeo
expresses his feelings of having nobody to love by stating, Love is a smoke made with the fume
of sighs (1.1.189). This shows how Romeo was affected when he lost his love, Rosaline. The
quote relates to the central idea because it shows how Romeo is always caring about the people
he loves. It proves my thesis of personal identity because he expresses his own feelings. Another
quote that uses metaphors to use personal identity before Romeo meets Juliet is when Romeo
describes how love is important to him by stating, The precious treasure of his eyesight lost
(1.1.190). This quote shows that Romeo wants a pretty girl to love and care for. The quote
relates to the central idea because it shows how love is important to Romeo. It proves my thesis
of personal identity because Romeo s character traits will help him find his true love later in the
story. Shakespeare uses metaphors to build a personal identity before Romeo meets Juliet.
Shakespeare uses symbolism to show the personal identity of Juliet s character of becoming
independent and reserved. One quote that shows Shakespeare uses similes to use personal
identity before Juliet met Romeo is when the nurse describes Paris as a lady s man by stating As
all the world why, he s such a man of wax (1.3.77). This quote shows how Juliet is getting
pressured by her mom and nurse to marry Paris, but decides not to. This relates to the central idea
of personal identity because the nurse and her mother are pressuring Juliet to marry Paris but doesn
t want to, this shows how Juliet is really independent and reserved by making

gutters, or surface waters. It is also suggested that cypermethrin should be applied if possible
when rain is not predicted for the next 24 hours to help ensure that the pesticide is not
inadvertently spread. According to the npic (national pesticide information center) Men who
voluntarily ingested low doses of cypermethrin in corn oil excreted between 49 78 percent of
cypermethrin within 24 hours.(Cypermethrin) This leads to the conclusion that cypermethrin is
unlikely to accumulate in the body. As far as chemical properties zeta cypermethrin has the
following characteristics. A molar mass of 416.30 g/mol, a pH of 4.44 using a 1% solution. The
boiling point is 100 C, and practically odorless. Zeta cypermethrin is a white to off white liquid,
and highly soluble in water. The flash point is recorded at 200 F and the pesticide has proven to be
only slightly combustible but may support combustion at elevated temperatures. The chemical is
thought to be stable with the exceptions of exposure to excessive heat and fire. Hazardous products
released by decomposition include Carbon monoxide, hydrogen cyanide, chlorine, and hydrogen
chloride. Bibliography: AmdroВ® PowerFlexВ®.

Introduction The purpose of the paper that I am writing is to reveal accounts of excuses and justifications within motive talks basing exposure on any and all delinquent behaviors that politicians or those yet to attain power. Forgetting who it was that got them elected to begin with, indulgences in uncanny behaviors, there are those who are seen as wholly incompetent of being human let alone be in positions of power. These accounts are more than recent ranging from May 2015 to March 2016, showcasing how not all those who have been elected by the people with their false promises did not deserve the support they got. Able to blatantly disregard all rules, laws, regulations bending the law just to accommodate themselves, where anyone else would normally be prosecuted. Like many play writers, Durrenmatt demonstrates that his play, like all cultural manifestations, is a product of the socioeconomic and hence ideological conditions of the time and place in which it was written, whether or not the author intended it so. Because human beings are themselves products of their socioeconomic and ideological environment, it is assumed that authors cannot help but create works that embody ideology of some form. (Tyson 66). The consequential setting was one of reconstruction of the nation state through finance ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This encircling social framework of materialism and yield is insightful of the drama s thematic significance. It is also demonstrative of the perspective that administrates the development and expansion of all cultures and the persons within it. The townspeople slowly begin to accept the idea of consumerism and are depicted wearing new shoes. The possibility of so much capital seduces the town people into procuring services via credit, overlooking the penalties that may follow. Claire knows that, eventually, the townspeople will advance her plan for vengeance because of their present economic crisis and their desire for wealth. Who is commodified and how? Commodify can be defined as the ability to treat something that cannot be owned or that everyone has a right to like a product that can be bought and sold. Furthmore, many Marxist insights into human behavior involve the damaging effects of capitalism on human psychology, and those damaging effects often appear in our relationship to the commodity. For Marxism, a commdity s value lies not in what it can do (use value) but in the money or other commodities for which it can be traded (exchange value) or in the social status it confers on its owner (sign exchange value) (Tyson 62). In The Visit, Claire commodifies sex as an item that can be purchased. Claire, herself, was also commodified when she agreed to marry an old Armenian millionaire. The millionaire s ... • 5. Pros And Cons Of The NCAA The NCAA is an easy organization to make fun of. The governing body of college sports loves to wield its hammer of justice in the most uninformed, one sided way as possible. That is true, although, sometimes we forget about the difficult terrain it has to navigate. In what will almost certainly end with Mark Emmert becoming a punching bag to those who loathe the collegiate athletic model, the NCAA is claiming that it can t mandate diversity hiring. Let s start with the context. In October, six members of Congress asked Emmert to address the status of a pledge the NCAA had asked schools to sign last year in support of diversifying their hiring pools when jobs become available. This was after Congress addressed its concerns over the majority of college coaches being white males. It seems like a ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The NCAA isn t running college sports, it is overseeing it, on behalf of the schools it represents. Or, more simply put, the actual bosses at least in the grand scheme of things are the schools. • 7. Henley s Invictus Explication Invictus Explication William Ernest Henley s poem Invictus primarily emphasizes the themes of being brave, perseverant, and unconquerable. Written in traditional closed form with an abab cdcd efef ghgh rhyme scheme, the fluidity and straightforwardness of the poem enhance Henley s theme. Furthermore, the poems syntax allows for the meaning to be unmistakably present, clear, and precise. The beginning of the poem Out of the night that covers me immediately gives the poem a negative connotation. Straight from the gecko the speaker is surrounded by dark and troubling times in his life. However, the end of the stanza changes the mood of the poem towards an enlightening one. The speaker, although he is not privileged with an easy life, will not let this affect him. • 9. Impact Of The Anti War On The Vietnam War Between 1965 And... Year 10 Australian History Why was Australian society divided over the issue of our involvement in the Vietnam War between 1965 and 1975? (750 1000 words) During the decade of 1965 1975, Australian society was controversially divided over the involvement of Australian troops in the Vietnam War. At the peak of the nations involvement, some 8,500 troops were serving for their country. Vietnam was split into the democratic north and the communist south, which was highly supported by the USA and most of its allies such as New Zealand and Thailand. There were three main reasons of which Australia entered the Vietnam War, which all equally contributed eccentrically to the division of Australian societies opinions of whether it was necessary that we as a nation become involved in the Vietnam War. These reasons are the threat of communism, supporting the alliances with the United States of America, and requests for the Australian troops involvement in armed conflict as well as tactical planning. The final topic of relevance being discussed is the impact of the anti war protest beginning in 1969. Firstly, the threat of communism was immense. There was a genuine belief and somewhat fear of communism from Asia sprawling into Australian society. The main objective of the South East Asia defence treaty, known as SEATO, involved preventing Southern Vietnam from becoming a communist state by force of arms and terrorism. He begins by stating that Americans have mistakenly believed that with equality we can have freedom, and that with democracy we can have liberty. For example, slavery was considered legal for hundreds of years in the United States. Organizations want to know why employees stay or leave their organizations so if correction is needed they have some tools to proceed with the correction. High turnover of employees in an organization can determine if an organization is successful or not. Nothing can prevent change, but there are still those who ignore it and refuse it. Individuals refused to accept their past because they do not want to change, they want to focus on the present. In Mary Oliver s free verse poem, The Black WalnutTree, the daughter discusses the argument with her mother regarding the selling of their Black Walnut Tree, commenting on it s personal history with her ancestors. In the poem, Oliver contrasts the daughter s disagreeing perception of the mother s consumeristic urges to sell their tree with her need to preserve it and its memories through the use of dark, gloomy word choice and varying concepts of time, illustrating the everlasting effect and importance of one s past and ancestry on the present. This is important for foreign investors because they do not wish to pay for the deficiencies in the provision of public goods by government. Developing country MNCs may have more experience as they used to doing so at home where home governments do not supply them goods. Therefore, MNCs may suffer for the ineffectiveness of the government which can lead to unexpected cost and also size of the operations being limited in the country. The first part of the scientific method is to begin making observations and asking questions about the situation. Once that is done, you should then check some accumulated sources of scientific data to gain information about the situation. Then you must formulate a hypothesis. In other words, the hypothesis is what will lead to the formation of a statement that can be tested. Before any experiment can be tested, you must gather all the needed materials and come up with a reasonable procedure to perform the experiment. Usually when a hypothesis is being tested, a controlled experiment is the type to use. In a... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The double blind experiment is where neither the subjects or the researchers know which is the experimental group and which is the control group. The data collected is normally evaluated by another researcher. The correlation versus cause and effect experiment is where relationships between two or more variables is examined. It is easy to find a positive or negative correlation between two or more variables, but it takes conducting an experiment to proving that one variable causes another. A variable must be caught causing the other variable. A pseudoscience experiment is performed to determine whether or not certain information is supported by the scientific method. A lot of pseudoscience or fake science takes on the appearance of science but is never supported and when it is tested under controlled conditions, most pseudoscience claims usually don t hold up. • 30. Healthcare s Application Of Petronio s Communication... Healthcare s Application of Petronio s Communication Privacy Management Theory Communication privacy management theory (CPM) developed by Sandra Petronio in 1991, is a theory about how people make decisions regarding how they reveal and/or conceal their private information. CPM functions on the premise that individuals maintain and manage privacy boundaries in their interpersonal communications depending on the perceived weight of ones benefit and cost of disclosure (Bridge Schrodt, 2013). The purpose of this paper is to demonstrate how CPM through the use of three operational theories plays a significant role in our lives and our interpersonal communications. At its core are three operational theories that act as guiding principles, they are simple in nature and easily defined how ownership forms personal rules for disclosure; how we coordinate and control disclosure and relational turbulence that occurs when individual boundary rules are at odds (Griffin, 2009, p. 121). We will explore each theory and provide real life applications utilizing examples of how healthcare organizations and providers use CPM in their practice. Privacy Ownership Through the use of privacy boundaries to divide private and public information CPM contends that when we disclose private information we depend on a rule based management system to control the level of accessibility and privacy boundaries to govern self disclosure. As a way to manage privacy boundaries individuals formulate their ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 31. Psychoanalytic Theory Of Human Development Psychoanalytic Theory Psychoanalytic Theory is a theory of human development that holds that irrational, unconscious drives and motives, often originating in childhood, underlie human behavior. It is thought to influence every aspect of thinking and behavior, from the smallest details of life to the crucial choices of a lifetime. Sigmund Freud is an Austrian physician who believed the stages of human development were characterized by sexual pleasure centered on a particular part of the body. Oral Stage (Birth to 1 year) In infancy, everything the child gets a hold of goes to their mouth. The lips, tongue, and gums are the focus of pleasurable sensations in the baby s body. They love to suck on their fingers or pacifier majority of the time, even in their sleep. Anal Stage (1 3 years) The anal is the focus of pleasurable sensations in the baby s body. During this time children are beginning toilet training. They are now able to interpret when they need to use the restroom and able to communicate to the parents when they need to go. Phallic Stage (3 6 years) During this stage, the penis is the most important body part, and pleasure is derived from genital stimulation. This is the time when they begin to discover their genitals, girls may ask questions while on the other hand, boys may feel a sense of pride. I was fortunate enough to have both a mother and a father who stressed the importance of excelling academically because attending an inner city, LA county, public school did not instill a love of academics in myself or my peers. Our teachers had checked out, the curriculum was not inspiring or relatable, and everyday there was yet another fight happening during recess. As time went on I witnessed my classmates and I take completely different paths. The strong support system I had at home proved effective. As I went on to go to college, many of my peers dropped out, the dismal state of our public school system had clearly failed them. During my undergraduate studies, the stories of my old classmates did not leave my mind. I remained deeply intrigued with the struggles of inner city people of color and the mobility they are granted. I began to volunteer at ArtStart, a non profit program that taught previously incarcerated youth the art of poetry, and I was immediately intrigued by the stories of what had led these children to a life of crime at such a young age. • 34. The Sound Recording Amendment Act In 1971 The U.S Congress passed the Sound Recording Amendment to the 1909 Copyright Statue. Through this act, it was acknowledged that audio recordings were worthy of legal copyright protection. This was the beginning of a new era for the music industry. The Sound Recording Amendment was enacted due to the bootlegging of vinyl records in hope of preventing the coping of music. Coincidentally, the issue of bootlegging music remains unsolved. Much of the animosity toward our existing copyright framework stems from the unpopular tactics of the record industry, which tries to enforce copyright laws to sustain an increasingly outmoded system. With the introduction of the Sony Walkman in 1979, music became more limited in format while remaining extremely versatile and convenient. Eventually, the persistent Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) was granted the right to earn taxes on every sale of a blank tape. Billy Joel released his 52 Street, the first CD released in the world, and began the launch of sales of the standard Compact Disc (CD). The 80s quickly became the most explosively successful decade in recording audio history due to the rapid replacement of tapes by consumers. I had to leave behind many loving familymembers in Hong Kong. We also left behind our old lives, furniture, car, apartment, and friends. Our journey began when we hopped on a JAL (Japan airlines) jumbo jet on a sixteen hour flight to Vancouver, British Columbia with a brief stop over in Tokyo, Japan. Everything looked foreign to us on our arrival. What we hoped in the future was to be able to learn English, to adapt to our foreign surroundings, to settle down in our new home, and to go back to visit our friends and relatives in Hong Kong. These challenges are just the first of many obstacles to be faced. This immigration was not just a new beginning for my family but also a window of opportunity for the next generation. We had an intriguing story of how we immigrated to Canada. My family consisted of myself, my mom and dad, my older brother, Chi Hung, my older sister, Sau Seng, and my younger brother, Chi Wai. It is about author s work experience in the crematory, and the awareness and cognition of death. Caitlin mentioned that she works in a crematorium because she wanted to overcome the fear of death. Because when she was eight years old at Windward Mall, she saw a little girl climb up to where the escalator met the second story railing, then she tipped over the edge and fell thirty feet, landing face first on a laminate counter with a sickening thud (Caitlin 29). So, she lost control of death. Maybe people fear of death because they experience some frightening things, no matter in real life or virtual. In addition, Cicirelli said, The meanings of death and life are interdependent. Life gains its meaning from the fact of death. How, when, where, and why one anticipates dying influences the meaning of the life that one has. Such a view implies changing individuals over time, and consequently a life span perspective on development of personal death meanings and related death fears. One would expect the individual to develop different personal meanings and death fears over the course of life from early childhood to adolescence, young adulthood, middle adulthood, and old age ( Cicirelli 715). • 39. The Conspiracy Of Suppression Of Alternative Energy The Conspiracy of suppression of Alternate Energy There are many ways of alternate energy that can replace the need for oil and gas in the United States. And the reason it could do that is because the forms of energy come from the environment and are not harmful to it. Plus they are a lot cheaper than oil and gas prices. The government suppresses some advanced energies for fear of their enemies getting these technologies and using the technologies against them. So the two biggest reasons for suppressing energy are to save money, and to keep us safe in a way. The conspiracy of the government and oil/gas corporations suppressing free, alternate forms of energy makes sense, and there are many reasons for this; one being, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Of course the majority of the public would start using free , clean energy sources instead of using expensive sources of energy that harm the earth. So in order to stop that, they make committees that go around and pick up alternate forms of energy that are invented and remove them from public access so the people won t switch over to those energy sources. Then if the inventor wants to patent it and make it public, they must go through the patent office and wait a year. This is also how they slow down production of alternate energy. They make them wait a year before making it public so they can make more money during that year. The oil and gas monopolies are suppressing energy for the wrong reasons. They are doing it for money, and not for the greater good. In essence if the whole public switched to alternate energy there wouldn t be any more need for gas or oil because there are enough forms of energy to replace them. But by stopping these alternate energies oil and gas companies can continue to make money. Alternate energy is cheap today. For example, in California solar developers have bought contracts for alternate energy over natural gas because it is cheaper and more efficient. Also alternate energy produces more jobs than fossil fuels do, so the actual company itself doesn t make as much money. That would also be another reason why companies suppress alternate energy. Also some alternate energy prices cannot be compared to fossil fuels because they are suppressed by the receipt of state and federal incentives. The world will be used up a lot quicker if corporations and companies continue to suppress alternate energy just for ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Personal Identity In Romeo And Juliet In the play, Romeo and Juliet it s about the two lover s that go against their fate of two different families that hate each other, but will soon end their relationship when Romeo and Juliet die together. The horrible love story creates Romeo and Juliet s relationship of being loving and caring. Shakespeare uses metaphors and symbolism to show personal identity through love. In the play by William Shakespeare uses metaphors to show the personal identity of Romeo s character traits of being loving and caring before Romeo meets Juliet. One quote that shows Shakespeare uses metaphors to use personal identity before Romeo meets Juliet is when Romeo expresses his feelings of having nobody to love by stating, Love is a smoke made with the fume of sighs (1.1.189). This shows how Romeo was affected when he lost his love, Rosaline. The quote relates to the central idea because it shows how Romeo is always caring about the people he loves. It proves my thesis of personal identity because he expresses his own feelings. Another quote that uses metaphors to use personal identity before Romeo meets Juliet is when Romeo describes how love is important to him by stating, The precious treasure of his eyesight lost (1.1.190). This quote shows that Romeo wants a pretty girl to love and care for. The quote relates to the central idea because it shows how love is important to Romeo. It proves my thesis of personal identity because Romeo s character traits will help him find his true love later in the story. Shakespeare uses metaphors to build a personal identity before Romeo meets Juliet. Shakespeare uses symbolism to show the personal identity of Juliet s character of becoming independent and reserved. One quote that shows Shakespeare uses similes to use personal identity before Juliet met Romeo is when the nurse describes Paris as a lady s man by stating As all the world why, he s such a man of wax (1.3.77). This quote shows how Juliet is getting pressured by her mom and nurse to marry Paris, but decides not to.
