Environmental Impact Assessment Of The Sydney s Darling...
Introduction:
With the development of the world, numbers of environmental issues were threatening people s life,
like rising Greenhouse gas emission. Buildings provide a connection between human society and
sustainable environment, especially for Skyscraper (Ainger Fenner 2013). Establishing a new
Skyscraper in Darling Harbour is a plan for Company AIIHigh. Causing a large difference for both
human being and environment. Darling Harbour is where has lager number of daily flow capacity,

Environmental impact assessment (EIA) play an essential role for sustainability establishing. As
Anzecc (1991) mentioned that EIA producers would take a responsibility for issues like improving the
efficiency of the contribution made by making sustainability and environmentally decision, which

Kurt Cobain s Suicide
Kurt Cobain was dead at his home on April 8th, 1994, with a shotgun on his chest, drugs at his side,
and a note for his fans. The scene and the events prior could lead people to come up with many
reasons. Some may say that Courtney Love killed Kurt Cobain, or that someone broke into his home
and murdered him, but crime scene evidence shows that Cobain committed suicide after barricading
himself in his greenhouse, and the events leading up to his death confirm it.
Cobain was taken from home due to a possible suicide attempt days prior, in which he locked himself
in his closet with his guns and some medication. A few days later he had his friend buy him a new
shotgun, claiming it was for intruders. It was the same shotgun he killed himself with.

Libraries are the first place for all the individuals who are as students, working professionals
depending upon their roles. When considering the types of libraries there are of four types which got
segregated based on their functionality. According to the Mcgrath (2015) these school librarie are the
first place where every individual will see the library for the first time in their life for their education.
As this is the first place for the students for the new innovation and build their career by getting the

Country And Rap Comparison
In September 2004, American hip hop recording artist Nelly released Over and Over , a collaboration
with American country singer songwriter Tim McGraw; the song peaked at number three on the US
Billboard Hot 100.This being one of the first of many country/ Hip Hop songs produced. When most
people think of Country music and Hip Hop/ Rap they do not think of the two as similar genre s
coming together to make music, but the two are very similar. Rap and Country both portray meaning,
as they express life stories throughout their lyrics. Symbolizing different meanings in their lives. The
two genres can also be very different, using different levels of aggression and portraying messages
differently. Since over the years music has developed now ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Hip hop/ Rap and Country both portray a very strong meaning behind their lyrical content, as they
express life stories throughout their lyrics. Although, Hip hop/rap is much more aggressive, majority
of rappers compose about drugs, or about how somebody they are close to has been raped or shot, or
even someone that they themselves have shot. As for country singers sing about how all they have
done lately is drink or get into a fight at a local bar over a specific girl. In majority of the music that
(mainly) rap artist have produced lately, you can notice the increase in vulgarity and disturbed
behaviors. While country is seemingly more depressing. I hate this song, does this look like a big

Cultural Conflict In Ama Ata Aidoo s Dilemma Of A Ghost
The conflict within Dilemma of a Ghost by Ama Ata Aidoo seems to arise from the Eulalie s
foreignness, however; it arises from both party s lack of knowledge of the others culture and Ato s
new Americanized beliefs. The world is comprised of diverse cultures and beliefs. Ideals of one s
culture can be tested when influences from the outside changed a person s ideals. In Dilemma of a
Ghost, not only does culture conflict arise between Ato s wife Eulalie and Esi but also from Ato
himself and how his ideals have changed since going to school in America. The culture conflict
between Eulalie and Esi seemed to be conveyed through many mediums. It is conveyed through roles
of the family, differences in food choices, difference in language. The biggest conflict between Eulalie
and Esi is the couple s decision on not having children.
In the prelude, a poem titled I am the bird of the Wayside foreshadows what conflicts the reader will
discover in the play. This an important part of the play because it gives the reader issues that the play
will center around. During act one of the play Ato returns home from schooling that his mother (Esi)
helped put him through. In Ato s family s eyes education in America is better than education in Ghana.
The expectations on Ato is he will get this great education and be able to come back and repay his
mother with this excellent job he will get. Men and women in their culture have various positions
especially in marriage. The money his mother put

Social Causes Of The French Revolution
The French Revolution was an event that would rattle France s Bourbon monarchy and their
neighboring royal families of Europe. Stemming from multiple causes such as the lack of food and
other necessities, a growing social inequality in the face of the Enlightenment, and economic decline,
the French Revolution bred dissent, notably among the masses in Paris. At the height on the
Revolution, it became as much of a crusade against their fellow countrymen as it was against their
outside enemies. After seizing power, political factions consistently accused each other of working
against the Revolution, and royalist insurrections fueled the disarray.
Leading up to Revolution itself was the growing social inequality. With the centralization of the
French state due to the efforts of French kings such as Louis XIV, French common citizens found
themselves subjected to the will of a nobility that became increasingly hostile to any sort of
concessions. Many families were struggling to make ends meet while seeing those at the top of society
turn a blind eye. Warfare contributed to this as well, notably the Seven Years War in which France lost
much of it s New World territory and the American War of Independence after which the French came
away with little spoils, not nearly enough to make up for the money spent on the war. With their
country on the verge of economic collapse, French prices soared, forcing French commoners into an
increasingly small box. Faced with an increasing

Columbus said in his journal that Local Americans let him know that dark individuals went ahead

criticalness of African history is shown in the very push to prevent anything from claiming the name
of history to Africa and the African people groups. For it is legitimate and obvious that no such
undertaking [falsifying African history] could ever have been gone ahead, and at such length, with a
specific end goal to cloud and cover what is really of practically no noteworthiness. Accessible
archeological proof and complete verifiable records indicate pre Columbian West African

Islamic student of history, who recorded the visit of Mansa Kankan Musa I, a standout amongst the
most wonderful Mandinga rulers in Mali, when he halted over in the Egyptian capital, Cairo, enroute

The Characteristics Of A Twisted Hero
A hero is a person who rises above the ranks of the average individual and is known as one who
achieves great strides as well as lead people to prosperity and greatness. On the contrary, a person who
is twisted is one whom has an abnormal and, in a myriad number of occasions, warped perspective on
reality and morality. When combining these two concepts, what comes out is a Twisted Hero, a person
who brings about times of prosperity and greatness, but does so in a manner akin to that of if one were
to jump into a black hole in space, one will be torn in two with one half being incinerated immediately
and the other half being completely fine falling into the black hole. This is what a twisted hero is
defined as to me, a twisted hero leaves only the outstanding results, but takes out any chance of it
being done righteously. These twisted heroes can be found in the cases of Om a Sokdae and the fifth
grade class, William Tecumseh Sherman with his total war tactics, and my teacher in fourth grade with
her cruel punishments. When examining why Om Sokdae, the class monitor, is the twisted hero of the
fifth grade class, it is important to realize the achievements the class, as a whole, is able to reach when
they listen to him. From their class being seen as the most ideal by the school, having the best grades
and test scores, and the students being seen as the most exemplary it is clear that Om has made great
strides with his leadership position as class monitor.

The Difference between University and School
The Differences between University and School
Almost all the students around me said that university was so great. Do you feel very curious about it?
Do you want to know the reason? If you have not known it very clearly, quickly read the words
followed. Maybe they have already seen the differences between school and university, for example
the ways of studying are extremely different, the arrangement is also becoming very free and there are
many changes in the teachers.
Why do I think that university and school have a lot of differences, the most important point which
make me realize that thing is the way of studying. When you are in school you do not need to organize
anything by yourself. You can just follow your teachers requirements. However, in university it is
quite different. Chinese teacher allow you to recite you essays and ancient poetries and ask you to
rewrite them the other day. At the same time, accompanied with a great number of vocabularies which
are waiting for you to remember, there are a lot of questions regarding to math, chemistry and physics.
Although they make you feel tired and bored, you should finish your homework everyday. You keep
studying all the time under your teachers construction. However when you enter university you can
find it surprising that teachers seldom assign homework and request you to do something. If you don t
want to waste your time, you need to be self monitor and fix up your time correctly. Besides this point,

Although arsenic is mostly known for its poison, the lesser known about is its curative aspects. Before

the curative effect of arsenic. Previously in Shanghai, China, a group of researchers had discovered a

retinoic acid (ATRA) can be used to fight APL. Shorty after, a more potent drug that fights APL was
found in a traditional Chinese cure. This all started when a group of researchers from the Harbin

Why Is Domestic Surveillance Important
Domestic Surveillance and its Importance in Society
In recent years, terrorism in the United States has increased exponentially, causing the apparent need
for domestic surveillance. Domestic surveillance, a subsection of intelligence gathering, assists in
obtaining critical information regarding terrorism in the United States and other countries. It allows
the government to monitor and access private information, such as call logs, of American citizens. The
surveillance of data also aids government divisions, such as the National Security Agency (NSA) and
the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), in investigations concerning possible terror threats within
the United States. While some people might argue that domestic surveillance is a major violation of
privacy and the Fourth Amendment (the right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses,
papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures), most fail to recognize the fact that
domestic surveillance helps to improve the United States by hindering terrorist ... Show more content

Domestic surveillance follows strict rules when apprehending public information in order not to
violate privacy. The Intelligence Community operates within a robust frame of regulations and
rigorous oversight. Under the Section 702 program, the government can only obtain foreign
intelligence information as defined by law. This authority cannot be used to intentionally target
American citizens or anyone inside of the United States (Joel). The program lowers the opportunity
for corruption. Domestic surveillance is also involved with all three branches of government
executive, legislative, and judicial. This allows safeguards to be put in place in order to minimize the
amount of abuse. Enforced by stringent guidelines, surveillance in the United States restricts the
exploitation of personal

Ben Hur Comparison
The tales of family betrayal, revenge, and reunited in one movie called Ben Hur. There are many
versions of this movie, but this revue will be on the 1959 version directed by William Wyler and the

on the Roman emperor Caesar. That Judah Ben Hur took the blame for in both movie to spare
someone else, and his revenge against his brother Messala for condemning him to the galley and his
own family to something much worse than death. I ll be taking and comparing both the 1959 and 2016
Ben Hur movies on it s special effects and the setting that they used in both movies. The reason for
analysing both sittings and special effects in the two different versions is because they mainly work
hand to hand with each other in movies. The sitting in a movie is really important, it s what makes a
movie seems realistic. For the 1959 version they actually went to Egypt and built over 300 sets to have

Disadvantages Of Commercial Arbitration
Advantages of Commercial Arbitration National and International
1. Relative costs and speed of commercial arbitration and litigation.
The costs and efficiency of different dispute resolution mechanisms vary from time to time and place
to place. Nonetheless, there have been recurrent complaints from commercial users, as well as
individuals, about the delays and expenses imposed by many national court systems..
In considering the relative cost and speed of international arbitration versus litigation, it is important
to take into account the likelihood of jurisdictional disputes and parallel proceedings. Suppose
Japanese and a French company enter into a long term sales agreement, which leads to disputes.
Assuming there is no agreement to arbitrate such disputes, what is likely to occur after efforts to
amicably settle the disputes fail? Where is the Japanese company likely to want the parties disputes
resolved? The French company? What happens if both companies pursue their favoured means of
dispute resolution? What happens if each company succeeds in obtaining a judgment in its favour
from its local courts?
2. Absence of appellate review. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

unfairness, or public policy), not extending to the merits of the arbitral tribunal s decision .Party

Laurianna Atkins tripped over a stack of magazines in the middle of her room, bumped her leg against
the dresser, and dropped her books on the floor. Ouch my leg! She howled, This room is a mess!
Lydia Atkins, Laurianna s mother, came out of the next bedroom, briskly blow drying her hair. Stop

Atomic Bombs On Hiroshima, Japan, And The United States
August 6th 1945, the United States dropped the first of two atomic bombs on Hiroshima, Japan. World
War Two was practically over, but Japan and the United States weren t getting along due to Japan
bombing Pearl Harbor. The President of the United States (Truman) and U.K. Prime Minister Winston
Churchill Issued the Potsdam Declaration which was the declaration that was put on the table for
Japan after Germany had surrendered. Earlier in the war we had been putting together atomic weapons
in case the war was getting out of hand. Since Japan wouldn t surrender after the Potsdam we dropped
the 1st bomb. Japan had still not surrendered so we dropped a second bomb on Nagasaki, Japan. There
was a combined total of casualties after the 1st bomb of 140,000. The second bomb totaled out to
120,000 casualties. Dropping these bombs helped the United States win the war. In my Opinion, the
decision to drop both bombs on Japan was the best alternative the United States had to remain stable
and to hold military lives. There are many reasons the United States choose to drop the Atomic bomb.
According to the White House press release the decision was pretty much made up after the Potsdam
declaration, which gave Japan the opportunity to surrender, was refused by Japan so the United States
was then in full force. Their leaders promptly rejected that ultimatum. If they do not now accept our
terms they may expect a rain of ruin from the air, the like of which has never been seen on this

Bowling For Columbine Propaganda
Michael Moore documentary used filmic codes such as symbolic, written, audio and technical to
position the viewer to sympathize and understand the gun violence laws in America to accept the
arguments and ideas presented in his documentary, Bowling for Columbine. Michael more is an
American Activist, film maker and author. One of his first documentaries was called Bowling for

Tax Revenue Is The Source Of Funding For Public Education
Tax revenue is the source of funding for public education. Taxes can be progressive or regressive,
depending on its impact on the taxpayer. A progressive tax is one in which the tax rate increases as
income does. The federal income tax structure is an example of a progressive tax. A Regressive tax is
one in which the tax rate is uniform and therefore, the regressive tax takes a larger percentage of
available funds from lower income individuals than from higher income individuals. Sales tax is an
example of a regressive tax. There are five local sources of income that schools rely on for revenue,
and there are advantages and disadvantages to each with respect to equity, yield, and acceptance.

23). One major difficulty with property tax is the valuation process itself. Sorenson and Goldsmith list
homestead exemptions, tax abatements, legal entanglements, taxpayer associations and
underassessments as reasons that taxes are not based on the full property value (p.23). In terms of
school funding, schools in wealthier communities are at an advantage over schools in economically
depressed areas, where property values are much lower. Sales tax is regressive in nature, and
dependent on taxpayers having enough confidence in the economy to spend their money. Sales tax is a
consistent form of revenue for school funding, however the yield is inconsistent as the tax is not
collected unless merchandise is purchased. Like the sales tax, the sin or sumptuary tax has an elastic
yield and is only as stable as the economy. The sin tax applies to tobacco, alcohol and gambling, and is
not considered a reliable source of public school funding (Sorenson Goldsmith, p. 23 2013). Sorenson
and Goldsmith describe the lottery as an assessment on legal gambling, and closely related to a sin tax.
The public perception is that a state lottery is an excellent source of funding for state education
programs, the reality is that the the lottery does nothing to fund educational initiatives. In fact, there is
no evidence that any state lottery has significantly supported or benefitted any school district or, for
that matter, public education in

The treatment is based on the bases that diagnosing and treating cases of malocclusions at an early,
discovery stage can go a long way to stem the problem. Today s interceptive orthodontics treatment
has done a lot to phase out permanent removal of teeth to correct the bite and late orthodontic
treatment which traditionally began at around age 12 to 14. The treatment also reduces treatment time,
creates and preserves space for the un erupted teeth and creates a facial symmetry through fine jaw
bone resetting. Children who undergo this phased treatment are often treated at age between 7 and 11
to take advantage of the continued teeth growth. The treatment at this age is much easier because the
patient s are much more receptive to the treatment thus ensuring better end

The Health Of The Livestock Production Of Poultry Carrying...
The Acute phase proteins are produced as the develop of a response caused after a variety of
conditions stimulated by inflammatory cells producing chemical substances that activate specific
organs to produce these proteins to reconstitute homeostasis and thus restore the injured tissue. Even
though the Acute Phase Response generated is not specific for each determined disease, the
measurement of these proteins in an animal may indicate the occurrence of an unhealthy condition,
and a further diagnosis and prognosis of the illness could be accomplish. Regarding veterinary public
health, the livestock production represents a significant field from where products for human
consumption are provided. Thus, the measurement of these proteins in ... Show more content on

These are plasma proteins which are released into the blood stream, mainly produced in the liver by
the hepatocytes (Cray et al., 2009) as part of the Acute Phase Response (APR), that either increase or
decrease in response to the tissue damage (Jain et al., 2011; Stahl, 1987; Gruys et al., 2005). The APR
is a non specific and complex systemic reaction, part of the early defense or innate immune system,
which is triggered by different stimuli such as infections, trauma and inflammations in order to
reconstitute homeostasis and induce healing (Cray et al., 2009; Tothova et al., 2014). As well as in
humans, APP in animals are sensitive to similar triggering events in response to inflammatory stimuli.
A variety of APP have been recorded, such as: fibrinogen, haptoglobin (HP), serum amyloid A (SAA);
C reactive protein (CRP); ceruloplasmin (CER), major acute phase protein (MAP) and α1 acid
glycoprotein (AGP) (Stahl, 1987; Gruys et al., 2005); differentiating their levels according to each
species (Cray et al., 2009; Eckersall and Bell, 2010). Thus, APP have been described for their
application in human medicine to diagnose and prognosticate different inflammatory and organ
diseases. However; altered levels of APP monitored in animals might provide an alternative method to
measure conditions or situations that may be influencing the concentration of these proteins in plasma
(Tothova et al., 2014). For instance, in livestock; APP have been presented as markers of health

Plain Folk Of A Rich Man s War
Plain Folk in a Rich Man s War is a narrative of the Civil War in Georgia from the perspective of those
who were not a part of the elite planter class. As opposed to focusing on the war from the
romanticized Lost Cause viewpoint championed by mainstream media, this book tells the often
glossed over struggles of the tenant farmers, sharecroppers, and other poor whites who supplied much
of the Confederacy s fighting force. The war time experiences of these plain folk is broken up into
three main sections: the actions of the Confederate government and the planter class, the plain folk s
responses to these actions during the war, and how this chain of circumstances ultimately led to the
downfall of the Confederacy and Union victory in the Civil War. In doing so, this book bridges a
significant gap in the literature by illuminating an aspect of the war usually overshadowed by the idea
that the Confederacy, composed of genteel southern gentlemen and their belles, was united behind
Jefferson Davis from secession until surrender at Appomattox. A cursory examination of popular
culture will reveal a very rosy picture of life in the southern United States even today. The summers
are hotter, the tea is sweeter, and the conversation is slower. We pride ourselves on hospitality and
moss draped sycamore trees. The Civil War, more commonly known below the Mason Dixon as the
War of Northern Aggression , is talked about as though it was the end of a way of life longed to be

Fast Car by Tracy Chapman
Fast Car, originally composed and performed by Tracy Chapman in 1988, is a contemporary song that
has captured the hearts of audiences of all ages around the world for decades. In this piece, the
persona takes the listener on not only a physical, but also on an emotional and imaginative journey, as
she tells us her story of desperate hope to escape the place she lives in order to make a better life for
herself elsewhere, and the obstacles she must overcome to do so. Through this text, Chapman
effectively communicates that searching for something better is often the reason we embark on a
journey, as well as exploring the fact that taking a physical journey does not always mean that we
escape the problems that exist in our life. She also ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Personal Strengths Analysis
Personal strengths are attributes that come naturally and easy to yourself. When I think of my own
personal strengths I think of determination, leadership, and passion. When I become determined, the
stubborn inside my head becomes triggered. I become almost obsessive of completing whatever task
perfectly and come up with almost a blueprint on how to finish it. For example, I became determined
on becoming this years band captain. I pushed myself beyond my limits and I made sure Mr. Oubre
was watching. I would make sure the effort I put into the marching band was returned. I perfected my
music and marching despite the obstacle I had last semester, that obstacle being I did not have band
class because of schedule conflicts. I held high expectations and responsibility within myself and the
section I was looking over. Another example would be something smaller than gaining a title in
marching band, such as cleaning my room. A typical teenager would probably just pick up whatever is
on their floor, maybe even vacuum. The determination to do all or nothing will set in. The floors are ...

leader. Some leadership qualities I feel that applies to me are: enthusiasm, confidence,
communication, and accountability. My personality in a classroom setting is often reserved and silent,
so it surprises me how much I change when I am put into a leadership position. This year when doing
interviews to have a leadership position in marching band, we were asked Which three leaders have
changed your life and why? . When this question was asked, many people surprisingly said my name.
They said I have a confident aura that demands attention, I have an enthusiastic attitude that spreads to
people surrounding me, I never hesitate to ask for help or if anyone else needed help, and I also held

Black And Decker Ergo Electric Can Opener Analysis
You are hosting a party and you want people to stay out of the kitchen and enjoy themselves. But for
some reason everyone always ends up in the kitchen. The kitchen is where you and your friends sit
and chat over a hot cuppa, having that International Coffee moment. Your children do their homework
at the kitchen table. With their friends they raid the refrigerator. The kitchen is truly the heart of the
home. Feng shui places great importance on the kitchen. Placing the stove in the proper location to
benefit the cook and thereby the whole family is fundamental. It is also necessary to have the correct
relationship between the stove and water in the kitchen. What you see upon entering the kitchen and
while you are working there is also significant. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
I have been lured in by so many that just won t worth the money. They look appealing as they always
work exactly as they should on television. There are, however, some kitchen gadgets that I heavily
rely on and will always have in my kitchen. Here are my top 5 kitchen gadgets. Number five on my
list is the Black and Decker Ergo electric can opener. This can opener is very nice. When our old
electric can opener finally went out after ten years of service, my husband picked up this one. It s
cordless and rechargeable. To use, just clamp it onto a can, press the handle and let go. There is no
need to hold it as it travels by itself around the can, stopping once the lid has been completely cut.
Cleanup is easy as the cutting mechanism easily pops off the unit. It comes with a charging base. This
is great for my kitchen that has very little counter space and limited electrical outlets. Rival Hand
Mixer is number four on my list of top kitchen gadgets. The mixer comes with own cup that has a
spout for easy pouring. I use this every morning to fluff up the eggs before cooking. The hand mixer
has a low and high speed. Cleanup is a breeze and doesn t take up that much space to store. The only
thing that would make this hand mixer better is if it were cordless. Black and Decker Handy Chopper
Plus is number three. This small, electric chopper makes chopping anything a breeze. I have chopped
everything from onions or Oreo cookies, and it does a great job on everything. The chopper is small so
it takes up little counter and cabinet space. The parts are easily cleaned, and you can store them on the
base so when you are ready to use again all the parts are there. It is easy to operate. Put the bowl on
the base, place the blade in it put in your items to chop and secure the lid. Then press the button for
about 15 30 seconds should do the trick. Number two on my list is different sized funnels. Funnels are

Pop Culture And Its Effect On Society
Introduction
Popular culture has manifested itself in a number of ways. Currently, the most commonly used method
of spreading and exchanging opinions, ideas, art, and other concepts is through the internet. Never
before has it been so easy to shed light on a person or an idea, giving it levels of popularity that were
considered inconceivable in ages past. In many circumstances the way people are portrayed through
pop culture is most likely how they were perceived by the bulk of people. Pop/culture serves as a way
to connect people; help them relate to one another over shared opinions and interests. It was and is the
representative of the majority. But what of the times before the internet? How was pop culture
expressed in a time when people did not have the ability to express their thoughts and opinions with
millions at a time almost instantaneously? Theatre is one of the most time honored means of
entertainment. Before television and computers and the internet, actors would don a costume and tell
act for masses of people. It was a form of storytelling that was not limited to the literate or rich or the
scholars, but could be enjoyed by anyone form any economic background. Through it we can see our
history and opinions in the form of characters, plots, and settings. We can observe the changing of
mainstream opinions through the common themes and recurring motifs in the most popular plays.
This is particularity true in regards to females in theatre. Throughout the years we

know that about ninety percent or more pet owners consider their pets their children (National

growing number of people that are now considering animal as children. Today local businesses cater

An animal that would take care of your house when nobody was home and protect the owners from
burglars from breaking in. This movement or trend started forming in recent years. As Cesar Chavez
once quoted, We need in a special way , to work twice as hard to help people understand that the
animals are fellow creatures , that we must protect and love them as we love ourselves Animals today
have as much equal rights as family members today. As many more pet parents are adopting and
falling in love with these animals and being able to connect with them on an emotional level, Pet
parents are able to relate and equate animals to human children. Many more couples are finding
themselves with fewer children or not wanting to have the burden of raising actual children. As a
result this trend keeps growing. Another reason that people are starting to see the increasing number in
this trend is some adults are finding themselves with the loneliness, where the children they once had
are moving away. These animals are feeling a void of loneliness. According to a recent survey done by
Stanley Cohen about eighty one percent of people do not consider themselves to be just a pet owner,
but a pet parent and treating their pets equal to their children.

The Leaders And Servant Leaders
Different types of leaders have different traits such as a narcissistic leader is egotistical; self absorbing
who basically is only concerned with their wants and needs. Covenant leaders are moral, ethical and
humbly put others before themselves. Then there are the servant leaders who believe they are there to
provide service to others. Anyone can be a leader, but it is in how they lead which determines the traits
they carry and use. Their purpose is to lead successfully so that others may follow in their footsteps.
Traits of a leader can be described as dimensions of individual differences in tendencies to show
consistent patterns of thoughts, feelings, and actions (Nichols, 2016, para.5). Some are risk takers,
some look forward to the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The best test is:
Do those served grow as persons; do they, while being served, become healthier, wiser, freer, more
autonomous, more likely themselves to become servants? (Mittal Dorfman, 2012 para.7).
Servant leaders are much like mentors and teachers they believe in building strong relationships and
bonds with those they work with or in their ways of thinking work for. Servant leaders find the best in
people and try to bring that out in them so they develop ways to grow their self and their skills/talents.
Servant leaders have a way of looking out for the needs of others, and do what they can to help and
meet those needs.
These types of leaders have the ability to teach and inspire belonging, esteem, and self actualization,
are about an employee feeling valued to do their best work, make a difference, and be appreciated and
respected by others for their contribution (Mertel Brill, 2015, para.5). This also can help in job
satisfaction with the employees and when the employees feel happy and their work valued, they have
the tendency to stay with the job for longer periods of time. servant leadership begins with a clear and
compelling vision of the future that excites passion in the leader and commitment in those who follow
(Blanchard Hodges, 2007 p. 45). Traits of Servant leadership

The culture conflict between Eulalie and Esi seemed to be conveyed through many mediums. It is conveyed through roles of the family, differences in food choices, difference in language. The biggest conflict between Eulalie and Esi is the couple s decision on not having children. In the prelude, a poem titled I am the bird of the Wayside foreshadows what conflicts the reader will discover in the play. • 8. Social Causes Of The French Revolution The French Revolution was an event that would rattle France s Bourbon monarchy and their neighboring royal families of Europe. Stemming from multiple causes such as the lack of food and other necessities, a growing social inequality in the face of the Enlightenment, and economic decline, the French Revolution bred dissent, notably among the masses in Paris. At the height on the Revolution, it became as much of a crusade against their fellow countrymen as it was against their outside enemies. After seizing power, political factions consistently accused each other of working against the Revolution, and royalist insurrections fueled the disarray. Leading up to Revolution itself was the growing social inequality. With the centralization of the French state due to the efforts of French kings such as Louis XIV, French common citizens found themselves subjected to the will of a nobility that became increasingly hostile to any sort of concessions. Many families were struggling to make ends meet while seeing those at the top of society turn a blind eye. Warfare contributed to this as well, notably the Seven Years War in which France lost much of it s New World territory and the American War of Independence after which the French came away with little spoils, not nearly enough to make up for the money spent on the war. With their country on the verge of economic collapse, French prices soared, forcing French commoners into an increasingly small box. Faced with an increasing ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 10. The Characteristics Of A Twisted Hero A hero is a person who rises above the ranks of the average individual and is known as one who achieves great strides as well as lead people to prosperity and greatness. On the contrary, a person who is twisted is one whom has an abnormal and, in a myriad number of occasions, warped perspective on reality and morality. When combining these two concepts, what comes out is a Twisted Hero, a person who brings about times of prosperity and greatness, but does so in a manner akin to that of if one were to jump into a black hole in space, one will be torn in two with one half being incinerated immediately and the other half being completely fine falling into the black hole. This is what a twisted hero is defined as to me, a twisted hero leaves only the outstanding results, but takes out any chance of it being done righteously. These twisted heroes can be found in the cases of Om a Sokdae and the fifth grade class, William Tecumseh Sherman with his total war tactics, and my teacher in fourth grade with her cruel punishments. When examining why Om Sokdae, the class monitor, is the twisted hero of the fifth grade class, it is important to realize the achievements the class, as a whole, is able to reach when they listen to him. From their class being seen as the most ideal by the school, having the best grades and test scores, and the students being seen as the most exemplary it is clear that Om has made great strides with his leadership position as class monitor. ... The surveillance of data also aids government divisions, such as the National Security Agency (NSA) and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), in investigations concerning possible terror threats within the United States. Sorenson and Goldsmith list homestead exemptions, tax abatements, legal entanglements, taxpayer associations and underassessments as reasons that taxes are not based on the full property value (p.23). In terms of school funding, schools in wealthier communities are at an advantage over schools in economically depressed areas, where property values are much lower. Sales tax is regressive in nature, and dependent on taxpayers having enough confidence in the economy to spend their money. Sales tax is a consistent form of revenue for school funding, however the yield is inconsistent as the tax is not collected unless merchandise is purchased. Like the sales tax, the sin or sumptuary tax has an elastic yield and is only as stable as the economy. The sin tax applies to tobacco, alcohol and gambling, and is not considered a reliable source of public school funding (Sorenson Goldsmith, p. 23 2013). A variety of APP have been recorded, such as: fibrinogen, haptoglobin (HP), serum amyloid A (SAA); C reactive protein (CRP); ceruloplasmin (CER), major acute phase protein (MAP) and α1 acid glycoprotein (AGP) (Stahl, 1987; Gruys et al., 2005); differentiating their levels according to each species (Cray et al., 2009; Eckersall and Bell, 2010). Thus, APP have been described for their application in human medicine to diagnose and prognosticate different inflammatory and organ diseases. However; altered levels of APP monitored in animals might provide an alternative method to measure conditions or situations that may be influencing the concentration of these proteins in plasma (Tothova et al., 2014). For instance, in livestock; APP have been presented as markers of health ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 25. Plain Folk Of A Rich Man s War Plain Folk in a Rich Man s War is a narrative of the Civil War in Georgia from the perspective of those who were not a part of the elite planter class. As opposed to focusing on the war from the romanticized Lost Cause viewpoint championed by mainstream media, this book tells the often glossed over struggles of the tenant farmers, sharecroppers, and other poor whites who supplied much of the Confederacy s fighting force. The war time experiences of these plain folk is broken up into three main sections: the actions of the Confederate government and the planter class, the plain folk s responses to these actions during the war, and how this chain of circumstances ultimately led to the downfall of the Confederacy and Union victory in the Civil War. In doing so, this book bridges a significant gap in the literature by illuminating an aspect of the war usually overshadowed by the idea that the Confederacy, composed of genteel southern gentlemen and their belles, was united behind Jefferson Davis from secession until surrender at Appomattox. A cursory examination of popular culture will reveal a very rosy picture of life in the southern United States even today. The summers are hotter, the tea is sweeter, and the conversation is slower. We pride ourselves on hospitality and moss draped sycamore trees. The Civil War, more commonly known below the Mason Dixon as the War of Northern Aggression , is talked about as though it was the end of a way of life longed to be ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 27. Personal Strengths Analysis Personal strengths are attributes that come naturally and easy to yourself. When I think of my own personal strengths I think of determination, leadership, and passion. When I become determined, the stubborn inside my head becomes triggered. I become almost obsessive of completing whatever task perfectly and come up with almost a blueprint on how to finish it. For example, I became determined on becoming this years band captain. I pushed myself beyond my limits and I made sure Mr. Oubre was watching. I would make sure the effort I put into the marching band was returned. I perfected my music and marching despite the obstacle I had last semester, that obstacle being I did not have band class because of schedule conflicts. I held high expectations and responsibility within myself and the section I was looking over. Another example would be something smaller than gaining a title in marching band, such as cleaning my room. A typical teenager would probably just pick up whatever is on their floor, maybe even vacuum. The determination to do all or nothing will set in. The floors are ... This year when doing interviews to have a leadership position in marching band, we were asked Which three leaders have changed your life and why? . Placing the stove in the proper location to benefit the cook and thereby the whole family is fundamental. There are, however, some kitchen gadgets that I heavily rely on and will always have in my kitchen. Here are my top 5 kitchen gadgets. Number five on my list is the Black and Decker Ergo electric can opener. This can opener is very nice. When our old electric can opener finally went out after ten years of service, my husband picked up this one. It s cordless and rechargeable. To use, just clamp it onto a can, press the handle and let go. There is no need to hold it as it travels by itself around the can, stopping once the lid has been completely cut. Cleanup is easy as the cutting mechanism easily pops off the unit. It comes with a charging base. This is great for my kitchen that has very little counter space and limited electrical outlets. Rival Hand Mixer is number four on my list of top kitchen gadgets. The mixer comes with own cup that has a spout for easy pouring. I use this every morning to fluff up the eggs before cooking. The hand mixer has a low and high speed. Cleanup is a breeze and doesn t take up that much space to store. The only thing that would make this hand mixer better is if it were cordless. Black and Decker Handy Chopper Plus is number three. This small, electric chopper makes chopping anything a breeze. I have chopped everything from onions or Oreo cookies, and it does a great job on everything. The chopper is small so it takes up little counter and cabinet space. The parts are easily cleaned, and you can store them on the base so when you are ready to use again all the parts are there. It is easy to operate. Put the bowl on the base, place the blade in it put in your items to chop and secure the lid. Then press the button for about 15 30 seconds should do the trick. The best test is: Do those served grow as persons; do they, while being served, become healthier, wiser, freer, more autonomous, more likely themselves to become servants? (Mittal Dorfman, 2012 para.7). Servant leaders are much like mentors and teachers they believe in building strong relationships and bonds with those they work with or in their ways of thinking work for. Servant leaders find the best in people and try to bring that out in them so they develop ways to grow their self and their skills/talents. Servant leaders have a way of looking out for the needs of others, and do what they can to help and meet those needs. These types of leaders have the ability to teach and inspire belonging, esteem, and self actualization, are about an employee feeling valued to do their best work, make a difference, and be appreciated and respected by others for their contribution (Mertel Brill, 2015, para.5). This also can help in job satisfaction with the employees and when the employees feel happy and their work valued, they have the tendency to stay with the job for longer periods of time. servant leadership begins with a clear and compelling vision of the future that excites passion in the leader and commitment in those who follow (Blanchard Hodges, 2007 p. 45).
