Prayer In Schools
Prayer is an important aspect of religion. Many religions incorporate prayer as a form of worship.
Many people around the world worship by praying daily. People feel the need to worship through
their religion by the use of prayer every day. Prayer in public places such as schools should be
allowed for a variety of reasons. First off, school prayeris defined as a state sanctioned or
mandatory prayer by students in public schools (Phillips page 1). Based on this definition, it is
logical that mandated prayer in schools can be considered school prayer. In modern society, in
the United States of America, mandated prayer in schools is prohibited (Phillips page 1). Ever
since 1962, school prayer is not allowed (Phillips page 1). However, there are many beneficial
advantages and reasons to why this prohibition should be undone. The first reason that prayer
should be allowed in schools is that prayer shows solidarity (Phillips page 1). This example is

In modern America, showing expression is encouraged. People express themselves in different
ways and it is accepted. In fact, students and people show expression through a variety of ways
including speech, poetry, and song (Lipka page 1). Prayer is another way that people show
expression. Students use prayer to express themselves and many students do it in unique ways.
Schools allow students to express themselves in many different ways including reciting poetry,
memorizing a speech, and playing a musical instrument (Lipka page 1). So, why can t students
express themselves through prayer? Also, prayer gives students additional opportunities to convey
there religious beliefs. For example, if a student uses prayer in a meaningful way, it can benefit
other aspects of school (Lipka page 1). Prayer can be a very important part of a student s life.

Message of Hope in Rap Essay
Message of Hope in Rap
The three year anniversary of Notorious B.I.G s murder is fast approaching and many people
still rave about his music. What made him so special was the connection he had with his
listeners. He found many ways to incorporate his life stories into his music that relates to every
other thug growing up in the streets from New York City to Los Angeles. The perfect example
of this is his double CD, Life after Death where most of his songs are about death and how
people deal with it. Its quite ironic how he sort of predicted his own death in the album but by
doing so, it helped his fans and family deal with his death better. To understand his songs, you have
to understand the life he grew up in. Raised in ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The chorus of the song has 112 singing,
Sky is the limit and you know that you keep on
Just keep on pressing on

Sky is the limit and you know that you keep on
Just keep on pressing on
Sky is the limit and you know that you can have what you want, be what you want, have what you
want, be what you want
This chorus gives hope to the other struggling people to have faith and not to give up on life
because anything you want, you can have. It just takes the effort to be proud. This is what
Notorious was special at doing. He could deliver the message better then any other person out
there, because he is a prime example to all the people that they do have a future. Although he does
talk about being rich and leading a good life now that he has the money, he also realized the
problems of having money. In his song, Mo Money Mo Problems he talks about how money brings
the downs as well as the ups. In the intro of the song, Puff Daddy says how money makes you the
perfect target of everyone who is envious and jealous of what you have gained and that if you re
not careful of what you do, you can end up D.O.A . And most people believe this is what caused

Narrative Essay On A Birthday Cake
While i was sitting on the new couch i heard the cat meowing at the dog the backyard visiting the
yard to mark his territory. As the dog left i took the cake out of the oven seeing the steam coming
off of the cakes fluffiness the cat crept over and tried to slowly take a bite where I bopped her on
top of the head she ran to the living room where she hung her head in sadness feeling neglected
about why she wanted to go home with the owner. As i loaded the cakeup into the car my neighbor
across the street was wearing dark clothes that was clearly torn up good weather today I said

scratchy voice Come eat! The kids went running to the birthday cake and stood around the cake that
has melted in the sun making it black from the colors of the icingmixed together and now looking
like something out of a horror movie. As the kids all got in line to eat a slice of cake my uncle joe
arrived at the house and immediately jumped in line for cake Save me a piece of cake I yelled from

Home Schooling Education
Homeschooling is the education of children at home, usually taught by a parent or tutor, rather than
in public or private school. Homeschooling is an option for families living in isolated rural
locations, living temporarily abroad, or families who travel often. This method of education is
growing around the world. Homeschools use different educational methods such as: Unit Studies,
All in One Curricula, Natural Learning, and Autonomous Learning. In the Unit Studies method
multiple subjects are studied in relation to a single topic. The All in One Curricula is another
method in which the curriculum and homework of the student are similar or identical to the
curriculum at a public or private school. Natural Learning is a method where children follow
knowledge based on their interest and the parents take part in their learning activities. In the
Autonomous Learning method, the child is responsible for their own learning environment. Parents
give different reasons for choosing to homeschool their children. According to the National Center
for Education Statistics, the three reasons parents chose homeschoolingwere: their concern about the
school environment, to provide religious or moral instruction, and unhappiness with the curriculum
available at other schools (Gaither 1). Homeschooling happened because of the changes in public
school and in families. Public schools grew larger and the schools began to add offensive courses to
their curriculum. Milton Gaither states,

How Did The Normans Change The English Language
The Normans had a big impact on the English language. The nobility and Kings changed the
vocabulary in government, law, army, religion, fashion and cuisine. Also they started using more
written texts, as a result many changes happened in spelling, pronunciation and grammar rules. It is
said that the Normans added 10000 words to the english languageof which 75% is used today,.
One of methods that very interesting is that words just transformed their meanings completely for
no reason. He gives an example whereby the meaning for the word had entirely changed in their
meaning: counterfeit and brave. Counterfeit now means a fake copy of a genuine good, such as
fake money, but in the past it meant a legitimate copy.

Essay on Ethical Issues in Secured Communications
Ethical Issues in Secured Communications
1. Introduction
The outstanding growth of network technologies in the past decade have contributed to millions of
new applications and industries. Literally millions of companies around the world were created to
serve this huge growth. Even though many of those companies did not survive until the present time
, most of the applications did survive and they are still widely used among consumers of all ages,
cultures, and backgrounds.
Most of the widely used applications are not secured. I will define what is meant by a secured
communication later in the paper. However, this paper is more concerned in the way peopleuse
these applications in terms of identity. Many applications allow ... Show more content on

2.1 Security Background
2.1.1 Secured Communications
Security and privacy are not new concepts. At 400 BC the Greeks used a transposition cipher.
Individual letters were written on a long thin sheet of paper and then wrapped around a cylinder.
The diameter of the cylinder was the key to find out the original letter. In this context, I find it
necessary to give some definitions of related vocabulary in this field.
Plain text or PT is the original message that we need to send. Usually we do not want others to be
able to know our original message.
Cipher text or CT is the encrypted plain text which is not readable for others.
Encryption is the process of changing a secret message (plain text) into a disguised one (cipher text).
Decryption is the process of changing the Cipher text back to the original Plain text.
Cryptography (literally means secret writing) is the science encompassing the principles and
methods of transforming a PT message into a CT one, and then retransforming that message back to
its original form.
cryptanalysis the study of principles and methods of transforming a CT message back into a PT
message without knowledge of the key. Also called code breaking
cryptology both cryptography and cryptanalysis
We encrypt the PT to get the CT and then send it on a communication channel. The channel

How Did Tsar Nicholas II Create A Backwards Economy Of Russia
Introduction:
Unlike other countries having a democratic government, Russia was ruled by a monarchy,
therefore Nicholas II inherited the role of Tsar after his father passed away from kidney
inflammation in 1894. There were many reasons behind why Russia was considered as having a
backwards economy and the Russo Japanese War was a major setback for Russia. Bloody Sunday
took place and shortly afterwards Nicholas II was compelled to introduce the October Manifesto ...
. Nicholas II
Tsar Nicholas II was a problem for the social, political and economic well being of the early
Twentieth Century Russia.
Russia s backwards economy:
Nicholas II was raised watching his father rule autocratically. He was not prepared by no means to
rule, and most likely took this as the best approach to ruling a country since it is how his father did.
Tsar Nicholas II refused to stray from what he knew, and more importantly what his father practised
as an autocrat whilst ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
With no workers, Russia was put under pressure as this meant no transport, schools, shops and
factories were in working order. They banded together for many destructive acts such as rioting,
stealing, street performances and destroying Tsarist authoritative symbols. This was a political
issue for Russia as workers were fighting for their rights.
October Manifesto:
Nicholas II introduced the October Manifesto on the 30th of October, 1905. Once the October
Manifesto was introduced to the people, they believed he was making a step in the right
direction. This piece of paper, written by Sergey Witte, promised political reforms after ten
months of strikes, a lot of political debate and attacks of violence. Little did the people of Russia
realise that this was the Tsar Nicholas II s plan to please, however he had no intentions of acting on
this or changing his ways.

Racial Segregation And The Black Girl Essay
What does it mean to you to be a black girl? If you aren t one, what do you see when you
visualize a black girl? If your imagination limits you to just an afro centric featured, loud and
slang loving, uneducated woman, then this piece is addressed to you. The persistence of the
stereotypes concerning average black girls have chained us all to the earlier listed attributes.
One side effect of this dangerous connection is the wide opening for a new form of
discrimination it creates. Whether it is depicted through slave owners allocating the preferable
duties to lighter skinned black woman, or in modern times where a dislike in rap music
categorizes you as not really black, segregation within black communities occur. Tracing all the
way back to elementary school, my education on the subject of racial segregation has been
constricted to just the injustices routed by dissimilarities between racial groups. What failed to be
discussed was the intragroup discrimination occurring in the black society from both outside
observers and inside members. Unfortunately, our differences in the level of education, in physical
appearance, and in our social factors such as our behaviour, personality or what we believe in have
been pitted against each other to deny the variety of unique identities that we as black individuals
carry. Throughout my life, I have dealt with unfounded accusations questioning the grounds as to
which my skin belongs to me. I have heard phrases such as, you are not

Chicken Dinner Research Paper
PUBG: Getting That Chicken Dinner It s the rush of adrenaline as you enter the final circle with
10 players left in the match, the constant gunshots as you look for loot and always watch your
back, and the disappointment when you lose that gunfight and are sent to the loading screen
without your chicken dinner. PUBG can be a difficult game for pros or beginners so little tips
and tricks to get better are always appreciated. The three main tips I remember when playing are
how to Land and Loot, survive mid game, and win endgame. You are starting the match in a
plane with 100 other players, and deciding where to land is the hardest decision you will make.
Different locations are more popular with better loot and others are barren leaving you with
nothing for the mid game. My favorite spots to land are high traffic areas in the planes path
because you usually get good loot and you get better at gunfights. Of the different drop
compounds Geogepool is a highly contested but high reward area due to its military grade
loot(The 13 Best Landing Zones In Playerunknown s Battlegrounds). How long you loot is
entirely based on your playstyle and how quickly you clear the compound you landed at.

Sliding Filament Theory Of Muscle Contraction
The muscle contractions occur when sarcomeres shorten. Sarcomeres are composed by think and
thick filaments of muscle fibers. These filaments do not short but slide past one another, which will
cause the sarcomere to shorten and both filaments have their length constant.
The sliding filament theory of muscle contraction is the actin and myosin binding, which will form
the so called cross bridges, resulting in the filament movement.
ATP will bind to myosin, being hydrolyzed by ATP and resulting into ADP and phosphate. This is
where the energy come to support this process. The energy that comes from ATP being transformed
into ADP and phosphate activates the myosin, leaving it in an extended position. The activated
myosin will bind to an active

Essay on Family Relationships in Greek Mythology
Greek Mythology originated around 775 B.C.E. It all started with Homer s Iliad and continued on
with Hesiod s Theogany. These were the first two myths to be recorded in Greek Mythology. Both
of these myths reveal to us about their understanding of the universe, and about their culture. Not
only do they talk about their various gods, and heroes, but they also talk about how they viewed the
universe in general (Rosenberg 79). Greek Mythologyevolved from two early civilizations, the
Mycenaean s and the Minoans. It was the combining of these different Greek cities and Kingdoms
during 10th century B.C. that created Greek Mythology. Its Geographic isolation gave it a place

However, Uranus was afraid that Cronus might overpower him and one day obtain all his
power. Knowing this Uranus purposely tried to kill Cronus in multiply occasions, but Gaea
would always protect him. One day Gaea and Cronus made a plan to have Cronus challenge
Uranus and take over his power. So it happened, Cronnus challenged his father and was victorious
during their battle and Uranus was left to rot (Bernard 1) Now Cronus had become king of gods
by killing his father Uranus (Bernard 3). In both Greek and Roman Mythology, the relationship
between parents and children are distorted, strained, and bizarrely transformed, because of their
greediness for power and obsessiveness to be better than the other.
To begin with, the relationship between parents and their children are distorted, because of their
greediness and obsessiveness to be better than the other. In the story of Medea, Medea poisoned
her own children, because she wanted to see her husband suffer the way she suffered after he
left her. She decided they best way to get revenge is by poisoning her children, this way both
their children and Jason s new wife will die of poisoning and Jason will be left all alone in the
world with no one to love him (Rosenberg 204). This clearly shows that the relationship between
parents and children is distorted, because Medea was willing to poison her own children to get
revenge on her husband. Someone who is even willing to do that is twisted and evil in

The Negative Effects Of Television And Video Game Violence
On average, an American encounters approximately 200,000 violent acts before the age of
eighteen. However, these exposures do not influence an individual to exhibit violence. Concerns
regarding whether television and video game brutality has a negative effect on the public by
promoting cruelty, dates back to the 1950 s and is still prevalent today. Studies and research
conducted on the issue are unable to prove that the two variables have any correlation to each other.
In fact, statistics demonstrate how the amount of violent crimes has decreased significantly
throughout time, despite the growing video gamepopularity. Lastly, in society, people look for
anything to transfer the blame, especially in regards to a situation that may threaten an individual s
community. As a matter of fact, by reviewing the extensive research the conclusion was drawn
stating, exposure has no effect on barbarity. Therefore, television and video game ferocity does not
have a negative effect on the population.
Studies and research conducted on the issue is irrelevant. Specifically, the studies conducted fail
to assess accurate information essential in the process of proving cause and effect. Not to
mention, previous studies that revealed a link between the two factors only focused on short term
effects and did not take other factors into account. In reality, children get riled up over images

Anarchy State And Utopia Summary
As part of his book, Anarchy, State and Utopia, Nozick puts forward his theory of the minimal
state. He argues that individuals in a state of nature would voluntarily form protective agencies to
ensure that their rights are effectively defended. Because of network effects and economies of
scale, one of the agencies will eventually achieve a dominant position where it would have the right
to suppress the activities of the other agencies. There is the need to suppress these activities
because they would subject the clients of the dormant agencyto the risk of rightsviolation. This
prohibition will be effective provided the dominant agency compensates the disadvantaged parties
by according them with the protectionof their rights. After this has occurred there will be a single

Two mechanisms can bring about the pattern from a set of actions and intentions not aiming the
pattern. The first mechanism is the filtering process where filters eliminate all other entities that
do not fit into a certain pattern. The second mechanism is the equilibrium process where each
component part adapts to the local conditions so that a pattern is realized. Nozick s account of the
rise of a state uses both mechanisms. There is the presumption that people seek to act justly and
use private reason to act with good faith in interpreting the moral law. In the account t of the rise
of the minimal state, people act to protect themselves and have no desire of spending a lot of time
being asked to protect others. These individuals also do not want to engage with contentious and

Stereotypes In Dungeons And Dragons
Dungeons and Dragons is a role playing game that requires time, patience, and a relatively good
imagination. Society has grown up with this game for several decades and yet the majority has no
knowledge of its works and rules other than the misconceptions of stereotypes and confused
explanations. When asked about the game, certain social groups are targeted as the player when, in
truth, the quantity is much larger than previously thought. Dungeons and Dragons is a game that is

Some players like the imagination the game requires and using the power of their mind to create
a fantasy world where they can start and end wars, create civilizations, battle monsters, and trek

key element just like it is in the human language or in music. For example, a young man who has

INTEGRATED CONSTRUCTION PROJECT MANAGEMENT
ASSIGNMENT 2
Topic Lean construction from Theory to Practice
Date 12 31 2014
Done by Sushil sriram Subramanian Fq7893@wayne.edu
ABSTRACT This article compares the techniques developed for lean construction with those
developed for lean manufacturing. Lean manufacturing and lean construction techniques share
many common elements despite the obvious differences in their assembly environments
And processes. Manufacturing plants and construction sites are different in many ways that might
explain why lean production theories and practices do not fully fit the construction industry.
Though many lean construction tools and elements are still in an embryonic state, lean construction
techniques are gaining popularity because they can affect the bottom line of projects. Additionally,
this paper presents a study of a construction project in which specific lean construction elements
were tested. Each technique was evaluated in terms of its impact on the performance of the project.
Based on the findings of the study, a new lean assessment tool is proposed to quantify the results of
lean implementations.

Over the past three seasons we have seen quite some villains on the show. Most of them were
grey ish: they had the right intentions but not the right methods. Think of Diana Sydney, Queen
Anya, Dante Wallace, Queen Nia. There were some less redeemable villains like Cage Wallace
and there are a few that are just downright unlikeable (remember Dr. Lorelei Tsing?). However,
Pike takes unlikeable villains to new dimensions. Nothing that the show has done has made him
even a bit likeable. I want him dead and the sooner he dies, the better it will be. His character
comes off as a one dimensional villain that only cares about killing Grounders. His argument that

forecasting inaccuracy which caused late deliveries of enclosures from the cabinetry plant in
Guelph to the other side of town to the manufacturing transformer plant. This should be corrected
by using shorter forecasting periods for each of the product ranges during the Collaborative planning

Doubt John Patrick Shanley Essay
Besides earning a Pulitzer Prize, John Patrick Shanley achieved another unique feat with his play,
Doubt he expertly crafted a story whose conclusion ultimately lies within the mind and
imagination of the reader. Doubt is a play confined within the walls of a Catholic school during
the 1960s. It presents a tense clash between Father Flynn, a gregarious priest at the school who
advocates progressive ideas and empathy for transgression; and Sister Aloysius, the draconian,
stalwartly traditional principal who steadily becomes more and more certain that Flynn has been
sexually abusing a student. The story is artfully hewn, ending in a type of purgatory between
doubt and certainty that leaves the reader to untangle the web woven by Shanley. Thus, two
readers may read the same words formed into the same sentences, but reach polar conclusions
regarding the guilt of Father Flynn. Make no mistake; this phenomenon is intentional and will
explain a possible motivation behind the play s title: Doubt: A Parable. In the play s preface,
Shanley writes: Doubt requires more courage than conviction does, and more energy; because
conviction is a resting place and doubt is infinite it is a... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Shanley has explicitly echoed this sentiment, stating, [p]eople who are utterly certain are
vulnerable to a brand of foolishness that people who maintain a level of doubt are not. But, if we
are to believe this theory that true and absolute certainty is more oft than not an unattainable ideal
then is it just to entrust the conviction and life of another human to the certainties of a jury? While
Shanley s Doubt is not an express plea for a reformation of the judicial system and jury trials, it
does bring to the forefront prominent complications that can arise due to the inescapable fallibility

Comparing Willy And Linda Loman In Arthur Miller s Death...
In the play Death of a Salesman, Willy and Linda Loman have a complicated relationship. Linda
is a devoted and loving wife, for the most part, and takes care of her husband and the home. She
acts mainly as an enabler to Willy s dreams and delusions, additional to putting up with Willy s
complaints, insults, and fantasies. Linda serves as his defendant against the critiques of their sons,
Happy and Biff. From an onlooker s view, it might appear that the marriageis normal, but behind the
act lies the truth of Willy s unfaithfulness and the flawed relationships that infiltrate the Loman

Esme s Experience
Introduction
Nothing will prepare you for that first day of being a teacher, when 25 students walk into your
room and you become responsible for their learning and growth for a year. Esme s experience as a
new teacher was eye opening, she really sees it all in her first year and honestly it made me a
little nervous. But at the very end of it all she reminds me of how and why I want to teach.
Through all of what she sees and does she reminds the reader of what she is there to do: make an
impact on a child s life by inspiring them to learn, create and explore. Esme uses some unique
teaching methods in her first year, some I have experienced before and some that made me go back

The American Dream in Hester Street and Eat a Bowel of...
Many years ago, people have immigrated to a new world where they can hope for a more beautiful
existence, for the wealth, for the freedoms, for the better opportunities and most importantly, for the
American Dreams.
As each new era of foreigners migrate to America, they face the obstacle of conforming to
mainstream America. As Hester Street and Eat a Bowl of Tea portrayed, immigrants come to this
land of opportunities with the hopes and dreams of a better life for themselves or their families. In
Hester Street , Jake, a Russian Jewish immigrant who lived in New York s Lower East Side for five

America. The old men, most of whom have their wives in China are thrilled. They see Ben s
marriage as a new beginning for their aging hamlet. All these pressures, unfortunately, make the
young man impotent. It is interesting that the movie is full of images and situations in which
Chinese and American cultures confront one another. For instance, during the arranged courtship in
China, the couple s first moment alone on screen is against the backdrop of an open air projection
of an American film. When the couple is on vacation in Washington to try and escape the pressures
of community and finally make love, the familiar American landmarks are overlaid with Chinese
music. The very real human problems family, marriage, impotence, work are shown to be
indistinguishable from crises over identity; Ben Loy s impotence, his failure to continue the line is
a sign of his inability to unite Chinese and American, public expectation and private desires.
I also find it fascinating how differently Gitl and Ben s wife Mei Oi react to the New World. They
are both inexperienced new immigrants, but Gitl reveals a quiet strength and determination that
Mei Oi lacks. Mei is more of a weak

Response To Conflict Essay
These are just some ways that can enhance the conflict simply because the resources is there at no
cost to the refugees. One key note to consider when trying to find a solution to this is that human
beings rely on interactions and relationship to other people to help them make sense of the world.
All of these mechanisms are a consequence of social factors. Therefore, it s important to look for
other responses that allow humanitarian aid to assist the people that need it and protect against
escalating the conflict by having their resources support the militant. When militants take advantage
of the humanitarian aid supplies, the intentions of the humanitarian aid is being used for something
completely different from the values and principles of humanitarian work. Humanitarian aid
workers intend to help feed the refugee, not feed the militants that have led to the outset of the
crisis (Barber 1997). However, they can t just categorize and fit everyone into dichotomies without
crossing the neutrality and impartiality guidelines of the agencies. In all honesty, personally, it
seems that everyone has biased and have their own expectations of the profession they choose to
take and as much as they follow the mission of the profession, they still have their own individual
faith and beliefs. Because aid is something that is free to refugees, workers may be frustrated in that
they aren t serving the populations that are innocent victims of the crisis. It s extremely hard to

The Wife Of Bath And The Thousand And One Nights
Literature from the medieval times, gives a stereotype that women are promiscuous, manipulative,
wicked, and unfaithful. Treatment of women as promiscuous and untrustworthy goes against the
nature of women and who God created them to be. Women are not promiscuous and manipulative
as men claim them to be; they are good wives, strive to lead a life of holiness like the blessed
mother, and are a helper of man.
The church s interpretation of the women is that the husband is the head of her and she should be
subjected to him (The New American Bible, Ephesians 5: 22 24). In the wife of bath, her fifth
husband was questioning his wife, because of all what was written of bad wives by men (Wife
of Bath, pg 699). The Thousand and One Nights is centered on a good king who was deceived
and hurt by his wife, which twisted his morality. He vowed to marry a woman each night and in the
morning he would kill her. The king s daughter, Shahrazad, decided to take a stand and marry the
king. With her intelligence and storytelling, she was able not only to save her own life, but her
kingdom as well (The Thousand and One Nights, pg 554). Shahrazad was a good wife even if it
meant risking her life. Men has an impact on his wife. Yes, he is superior to her, but he needs to
bring her to holiness and reciprocate her love. Husbands love your wife as much as you love your
own bodies (The New American Bible, Ephesians 5:28). Make sure your wife lacks blemish and
bring her to holiness and without blame

Public Policy Concerning Education During Prisons
Public policy concerning education in prisons decisively emphasizes punitive programming over
rehabilitate or educational programming. In regards to higher education in prisons the persuasive
public echo of why should criminals get for free what the rest of us pay for is a falsehood built on
the backs of these rulings. I would argue that the educationpaid for through incarceration entails a
greater personal cost of freedoms than a paid tuition could ever represent. I doubt anyone would
ever go to prisonto obtain a free education. The ever increasing costs of higher education invoke a
regime of scarcity that produces anxiety within the working and middle class. Higher education no
longer represents automatic future economic security, furthering social fear. I would argue against
the elimination of higher education in prisons; research shows that prison education reduces
recidivism rates and improves public safety (Chappell). Education behind bars means a greater
likelihood of post release employment. Post release employment means stability and independence.
Stability and independence mean a lower chance of recidivism. Criminal justice researchers Richard
Tewksbury and Kenneth Stengel conclude a more abstract benefit of prison education than just
reducing recidivism, Participation in educational programs yields a positive influence on the
psychological well being of inmates, reduces rule infractions, and enrolled inmates serve as role
models to other inmates

Many philosophies are established during our upbringings, and personal experiences. A family,
for instance, is like a team in many ways. We have to collaborate, encourage, and motivate one
another to strengthen our cohesiveness. The unbelievable bonds formed within a family are
naturally created during a process. As stated from Leadership and Professionalism, collaboration s
purpose is to create a shared vision and joint strategies to address concerns that go beyond the
purview of any particular party (Anderson and Bolt, 2013, p.36). I have found that my experiences
with CLA correlate with this idea. As time progressed, our groupbegan to understand each other,
and utilize our strengths to maximize efficiency. This is because we became more comfortable with
each other, learned how to constructively criticize one another, and developed a productive system.
My views on the process obviously go far beyond my experiences in this class, but the experiences

Abstract
For a country to be technologically developed there is need for efficient handling of mathematics at
levels of education. The perennial low performance of pupils in mathematics has been attributed
among other things to inadequate knowledge of subject matter content by teachers and poor
instructional techniques. This paper highlighted the basic principles for effective teaching and

The teacher may acquire mastery of the contents but lack skills in the appropriate methods. This
may affect the students understanding of the subjects. There are many approaches to teaching of
mathematics. These include: * Problem solving * Discovery Approach * Expository * Laboratory *
Questioning skills * Individualization group work * Demonstration, etc. (Johnson amp; Rising,
1972)
All these methods are good but no teaching method could be regarded as superior to the other. In
application, combination of these methods will be desirable. It all depends on the content,
objectives and the nature of the learners.

Working with students with special needs, as teachers, we need to protect our students right.
Special education teachers are required to keep high standards and meet best practices. According

The Importance Of Water Resources In Africa
Water is one of the vital resources required by every living organism, yet a large percentage of
the earth s people do not have access to an adequate and constant supply of water. In the
developing world, many rural communities are located in water scarce areas, where there is
uneven distribution of hydrological resources and economic and/or political barriers to pipe and
distribute water from the ground or surface (UN, 2014). People living in developing and under
developed countries live with unsanitary conditions where their everyday survival is the main
concern. They are exposed to drought, famine and death as a result of water borne diseases
come from unclean water sources and food shortage as a result of inability of land to grow
crops. The problem of accessing fresh water will be more costly and difficult and it has become
more wide even in developed countries (Rosegrant et al., 2002). Climate change and a
developing water resource interest for agricultural and urban development are increasing the
pressure on water resources and variability of the hydrological regime. By the year 2020 between
75 and 250 million people will be exposed to highly increased water stress in Africa, in some
regions of the continent, 50% of yield and agricultural production will become more severely
compromised as a result of food shortage (Ammar et al., 2016). Natural disaster, climate change and

The Garden By William Makepeace Thackeray Analysis
The garden straddles the border between the public and the private, the social and the personal, and
the city and the country. It is both man made, yet natural; both intimate, yet open. Hence, the
garden, as a place of such contradictions, becomes a space for William Makepeace Thackeray to
facilitate characters contemplation, pushing the engagement with the dichotomy between nostalgia
and progress.
It is in the Royal Gardens at Vauxhall where William Dobbin s intense desire for Amelia begins to
slowly manifest. As she wanders through the paths of the garden with George Osborne, he becomes
distracted by her, ignoring the gardens that surround him:
[A]nd as he saw that good looking couple, threading the walks to the girl s delight and wonder, he
watched her artless happiness with a sort of fatherly pleasure. Perhaps he felt that he would have
liked to have something on his own arm besides a shawl [...] And the truth is, that of all the delights
of the Gardens; [...] Captain William Dobbin did not take the slightest notice. (Thackeray 63)
This passage, set in a very social engagement it is the evening of an expected proposal sees
Dobbin caught in a moment of disengagement of a private longing for Amelia. Thackeray teases
Dobbin s desires by suggesting that [p]erhaps he felt that he would have liked to have something
on his own arm besides a shawl and going into a lengthy list of all the delights of the Gardens
which he ignores (63). Dobbin, in a sense, becomes withdrawn

Strengths And Weaknesses Of Social Behavior
There are 3 basic research methods that social psychologists use to describe behaviors. Each of
these have both strengths and weaknesses. The observational method is done by observing and
collecting data which is then used to describe the behavior. The researcher observes the events in
a natural setting so none of the variables are manipulated. There must be interjudge reliability,
meaning that when different researchers administer the same test to the same subject they each
must obtain the same measurement. The advantages in this method is that it is the simplest
method, it has greater accuracy, and it is useful for setting up hypothesis. The weaknesses are
that this method is hard to observe because of privacy and secrecy. It is great for explanation but
not as good for prediction and description. The observer might also be biased being that he has
his own opinion on what is right and wrong. The correlation method focuses on prediction. It is a
statistical measure of two or more variables and the relation between them are assessed. The
Correlation coefficient assesses how well you can predict one variable from another. A positive
correlation is when the value of one variable increases it is associated with the increase of the
other variable. For example height and weight, the more one grows the more he will weigh. A
negative correlation is when the value of one variable increases it is associated with the decrease
of the other variable. An example is that the

Real And Nominal Gdp Forecast
Real and Nominal GDP Forecasts Taking on account the historical data provided in the forecasts
developed by our Economic Research Group, we compared this year s forecasts with the
performance of the economy in the past using gross domestic product. Gross domestic product,
measures the monetary value of final goods and services that is, those that are bought by the final
user produced in a country in a given period of time (say a quarter or a year) according to the
International Monetary Fund. Based on this comparison, we determined that there has been a
steady increase in gross domestic product (GDP) in terms of Current Dollars, but there is a
fluctuation between quarters under Chained Dollars GDP. Current Dollars, also known as Nominal
GDP, accounts for inflationchanges and uses current market prices while Chained Dollars, known
as Real GDP, remove the effects of inflation in its calculation and use prices from a base year.
Using this data, we can project the real growth rate for 2006 will decrease 2.56% quarterly, and
10.25% within the year, shown in Exhibit 2b. We calculate the average growth rate using Real
GDP because in the United States the growth rate that the BEA reports is a quarter on quarter
growth rate, which is the growth in real GDP from one quarter to the next, according to The Motley
Fool. These percentages tell us that there has been a significant drop in real growth rates due to
consumer confidence falling for the second month straight.

Memorable Scene Of Invictus
Invictus Film review.
If you are interested in history, drama, sport or all three combined, then this film is for you.
Invictus, directed by Clint Eastwood, is a legendary sports biographical drama. Eastwood created
the film with an intention of trying to show the power of sport and how rugby alone managed to
unite the mighty nation of South Africa. The story of how the power of the sport alone was able to
do this during the country s terrible post apartheid era is shown in this potential tearjerker. This
included the high tension between civilians, which was due to racial discrimination and had been
present for the previous 50 years as well. The inspirational Morgan Freeman plays the film s
leading character, Nelson Mandela, who is the first ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Clint Eastwood, the director, continued to display the relevance of the issue throughout the film.
He allowed the viewer to understand the situation in more depth, and also encouraged them to
realise the huge effect racism had within one country alone. The audience is also shown the
amazing person Mandela was, and Eastwood tries to inspire the viewers as well, by showing his
sincere and unforgettable personality. Invictus is a film definitely worth viewing, with the cast
staying very true to their roles, with the combined truth of the script. Nelson Mandela s leadership
is a huge part of the films message, along with the power of sport, and the film sends a strong and
inspirational message out to its

Caffeine Research Paper
Caffeine is addictive. This is an undisputable fact. The American Psychiatric Association lists
caffeine withdrawal as a formal disorder in its Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental
Disorders 5th ed. under the Section III, conditions for further study. The World Health Organization
names caffeine withdrawalas a withdrawal or dependence inducing psychostimulant in its
International and Statistical Classification of Diseases and Related Health Problems 10th ed.,
which was instantiated in October of 2015. This addictive quality comes from caffeine s immediate
positive effect on the user s mood combined with a delayed negative effect. This makes one
associate caffeine with the positive effect, and the negative effect encourages the

Importance Of Lack Of Teaching Facilities
5.4.5 Lack of Teaching Sources and Facilities
The findings of this study indicated that 68% of the participant teachers stated that universities in
the Libyan context lack resources for teaching and facilities. They was also indicated by T2 in the
interviews, T2 stated that:
Honestly, high education ministry does not provide us with enough support in terms of facilities
resources which are important for in any misunderstanding or difficulties that we might face.
Journal articles and books would be a good guide to figure CLT activities out if we find any
ambiguity in them. Moreover, classrooms design is still an old one which is not suitable for such
CLT activities and this makes it difficult to observe each group of students .

Such findings were also reported by Adhikari (2007) in Nepal, Ozsevik (2010) in Turkey, Ansarey
(2012) in Bangladesh and Vongxay (2013) in Laos. They indicated that the number of students in
the class was an issue that made it hard to manage several groups within one class. Such findings
were also emphasised in responding to question 6 in the questionnaire where 68% of the teachers
stated that they had from 20 to 40 students in their classes (see Table 6). This would suggest that
teachers need to divide students into eight or ten groups in order to implement communicative
activities successfully and, thus, it would be difficult to manage all groups.
5.4.7 Examinations
The interviewee teachers indicated that the accountability of Libyan students to examinations is an
issue for an effective integration of CLT in Libyan context. One of the interviewees said:
We as teachers do not have the right to design or adapt the final exams questions as the Ministry of
Education has the responsibility to decide who will design them. This really reflects a negative
influence for students and this makes them concerning only how to pass the exams which are
mostly based on grammar exercises .
Such orientation may lead to negative influence on the process of learning English language. As
this could imply that the focus is shifting from fluency into accuracy which perhaps would be an
issue for both applying CLT effectively and the students outcomes. The findings were similar to

My Life That Influenced My Development During The...
Martin Luther King Jr. (1965) once said, We must learn to live together as brothers or perish
together as fools. This quote stuck has always stuck with me and that is because of living in many
places and experiencing different cultures and societal norms; I cam to learn no matter where
someone came from or where they have been, being part of the militaryno matter the branch is part
of one big family. Throughout an individuals life they experience events, which have great
influence on their development, whether it is good or bad. In this paper I will be covering
various aspects about events in my life that influenced my development at during this point in
my life. This point is going to be at the ages of 14 to 17, also known as adolescence. Before I talk
about this point in my life I am first going to cover certain relevant background information,
family influences, sociocultural and environmental influences, and finally I will discuss my own
personal development during the adolescent stage, specifically that of the ages 14 to 17. To start

Jesus Came As The Savior And The World, The Supreme Leader...
Jesus came as the Savior to Israel and the world, the supreme leader of Heaven. In the three and a
half years He ministered, He performed and accomplished astonishing feats. He preached life
changing sermons, and taught captivating parables that remain to test today s most educated
scholars. He healed hundreds of incurable diseases, provided food for thousands extraordinarily,
calmed storms suddenly, walked on water confidently, brought people back to life, and selected
just a dozen men, eleven of whom would go on to spend the rest of their lives fulfilling His
mission. He selected hard working people such as fishermen to be His apprentices, and helped and
ate with regular people. He challenged and condemned religious leaders, who resented and despised
Him. He taught in Jerusalem, the cities of Judea, out in the rural areas, in meadows, on mounds,
and from boats in the water while multitudes attended attentively from the shore. Jesustaught about
a place, but not a place of this world. He never had a family, owned a home, held an office, or
even wrote a book. Though some would debate as Christians we are children of God, He is
seated at the gates of our eternal home in Heaven, sits at the right hand of God, and played a
major role and character in the bestselling book and greatest story ever told. Many centuries have
gone by and He still remains the focus and shining light for most of the world. Jesus became and is

Organized Gangs
Youths who are antisocial befriends with those just like them. They become a group or a clique and
eventually become a gang. Gang membership is not a necessary precondition for delinquency.
(Siegel Welsh, 2013). Youths get into cliques for protection, support, assurance, and direction.
Those who maintains to be friends with delinquents, eventually becomes antisocial. Youths also get
into cliques from family violence, peer pressure, anger, and self esteem. Juvenile antisocial behavior
stays within the organized gang, which engages them to commit criminal activities. Drug dealing
has a lot to do with organized crimes. Not all organized gangs are necessarily into drug
trafficking, but some at the level of street drug dealing. Those with antisocial behavior may feel left
out or rejected until they find those who are similar to them. Many youths joins organized crimes
may feel like they finally belong and have a connection. Those with antisocial behavior tends to part

The model rests on three principles: (1) adaptability to a variety of gang related problems and a
variety of jurisdictions; (2) flexibility; and (3) the use of a multifaceted approach by government,
private agencies, and community participation. Central features of the model are its focus on
harmful behaviors, continuous diagnosis of problems, coordination of responses, performance
monitoring, impact evaluation, and adaptation to change. (Office of Justice Programs, n.d.). This
focuses on the youth gangs and bringing the gang to their attention. Getting to know the gang, their
tactics, and approaches would help with understanding their ways of violence, how they use it,
where, and why. Many of the violence in gangs are for honor, revenge, courage, and prestige. This
model uses a four stage problem solving technique that focuses on why problems are persisting

Personification is used in dialogues like I love the way they sail over traffic jams. (p.34). The
personification identified in this sentence had to deal with sailing, a verb, traffic jams, a non living
thing, because personification deals with a nonliving object that can use actions in a sentence and
expresses that the things sail over traffic jams. Even though, sailing is only for boats. Imagery is
used in as dialogues like She had human features but her face was pale blue like a clear sky and
just as bright. She was luminous. Her puffy blond cloud shaped hair reminded me of golden
cotton candy. (p.36) to describe imagery by the looks of a noun very descriptively to get the reader
thinking of how it looks like in reality to them.

A Good Deed Can Brighten Even The Darkest Of Worlds
It is said that a good deed can brighten even the darkest of worlds. Opportunities to help others
can come in a variety of ways and each is important, in its own respect. While microfinancing and
charitable programs both have their respective benefits, in certain circumstances one may be more
appropriate than the other. Charity should be implemented in times of emergency because it
provides short term aid with no strings, prevents banks from capitalizing on tragedy and provides
massive aid, whereas microfinancing loans should be utilized so that individual borrowers
experience long term assistance and so that jobs can be created in impoverished areas. Charity is
more beneficial tham microfinancing loans particularly in times of severe crisis. Philanthropy is
absolutely vital when tragedy strikes. After natural disasters, individuals are not thinking about long
term financial security for their family but rather when their children may get their next meal and
where they will lay their heads at night. Loans are not effective these situations. The effects of
loans cannot be appreciated because the borrower immediately must begin planning how to pay
them back. Although it is not directly stated on the Kiva website, it can be inferred that the
microfinancing system in Nepal crumbled beneath the rubble of the earthquake in early 2015.
There are currently no borrowers in Nepal despite an impoverished lower class that Kiva frequently
lends to in other countries. Charity prevents

  • 2. Prayer In Schools Prayer is an important aspect of religion. Many religions incorporate prayer as a form of worship. Many people around the world worship by praying daily. People feel the need to worship through their religion by the use of prayer every day. Prayer in public places such as schools should be allowed for a variety of reasons. First off, school prayeris defined as a state sanctioned or mandatory prayer by students in public schools (Phillips page 1). Based on this definition, it is logical that mandated prayer in schools can be considered school prayer. In modern society, in the United States of America, mandated prayer in schools is prohibited (Phillips page 1). Ever since 1962, school prayer is not allowed (Phillips page 1). However, there are many beneficial advantages and reasons to why this prohibition should be undone. The first reason that prayer should be allowed in schools is that prayer shows solidarity (Phillips page 1). This example is especially... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Students use prayer to express themselves and many students do it in unique ways. Schools allow students to express themselves in many different ways including reciting poetry, memorizing a speech, and playing a musical instrument (Lipka page 1). So, why can t students express themselves through prayer? Also, prayer gives students additional opportunities to convey there religious beliefs. For example, if a student uses prayer in a meaningful way, it can benefit other aspects of school (Lipka page 1). Prayer can be a very important part of a student s life. • 3. Message of Hope in Rap Essay Message of Hope in Rap The three year anniversary of Notorious B.I.G s murder is fast approaching and many people still rave about his music. What made him so special was the connection he had with his listeners. He found many ways to incorporate his life stories into his music that relates to every other thug growing up in the streets from New York City to Los Angeles. The perfect example of this is his double CD, Life after Death where most of his songs are about death and how people deal with it. Its quite ironic how he sort of predicted his own death in the album but by doing so, it helped his fans and family deal with his death better. It just takes the effort to be proud. This is what Notorious was special at doing. He could deliver the message better then any other person out there, because he is a prime example to all the people that they do have a future. Although he does talk about being rich and leading a good life now that he has the money, he also realized the problems of having money. In his song, Mo Money Mo Problems he talks about how money brings the downs as well as the ups. In the intro of the song, Puff Daddy says how money makes you the perfect target of everyone who is envious and jealous of what you have gained and that if you re not careful of what you do, you can end up D.O.A . • 5. Home Schooling Education Homeschooling is the education of children at home, usually taught by a parent or tutor, rather than in public or private school. Homeschooling is an option for families living in isolated rural locations, living temporarily abroad, or families who travel often. This method of education is growing around the world. Homeschools use different educational methods such as: Unit Studies, All in One Curricula, Natural Learning, and Autonomous Learning. In the Unit Studies method multiple subjects are studied in relation to a single topic. The All in One Curricula is another method in which the curriculum and homework of the student are similar or identical to the curriculum at a public or private school. Natural Learning is a method where children follow knowledge based on their interest and the parents take part in their learning activities. In the Autonomous Learning method, the child is responsible for their own learning environment. Parents give different reasons for choosing to homeschool their children. According to the National Center for Education Statistics, the three reasons parents chose homeschoolingwere: their concern about the school environment, to provide religious or moral instruction, and unhappiness with the curriculum available at other schools (Gaither 1). Homeschooling happened because of the changes in public school and in families. Public schools grew larger and the schools began to add offensive courses to their curriculum. Usually we do not want others to be able to know our original message. Cipher text or CT is the encrypted plain text which is not readable for others. If your imagination limits you to just an afro centric featured, loud and slang loving, uneducated woman, then this piece is addressed to you. The persistence of the stereotypes concerning average black girls have chained us all to the earlier listed attributes. One side effect of this dangerous connection is the wide opening for a new form of discrimination it creates. PUBG can be a difficult game for pros or beginners so little tips and tricks to get better are always appreciated. The three main tips I remember when playing are how to Land and Loot, survive mid game, and win endgame. You are starting the match in a plane with 100 other players, and deciding where to land is the hardest decision you will make. Different locations are more popular with better loot and others are barren leaving you with nothing for the mid game. My favorite spots to land are high traffic areas in the planes path because you usually get good loot and you get better at gunfights. • 14. The Negative Effects Of Television And Video Game Violence On average, an American encounters approximately 200,000 violent acts before the age of eighteen. However, these exposures do not influence an individual to exhibit violence. Concerns regarding whether television and video game brutality has a negative effect on the public by promoting cruelty, dates back to the 1950 s and is still prevalent today. Studies and research conducted on the issue are unable to prove that the two variables have any correlation to each other. In fact, statistics demonstrate how the amount of violent crimes has decreased significantly throughout time, despite the growing video gamepopularity. Lastly, in society, people look for anything to transfer the blame, especially in regards to a situation that may threaten an individual s community. As a matter of fact, by reviewing the extensive research the conclusion was drawn stating, exposure has no effect on barbarity. Therefore, television and video game ferocity does not have a negative effect on the population. Studies and research conducted on the issue is irrelevant. Specifically, the studies conducted fail to assess accurate information essential in the process of proving cause and effect. Not to mention, previous studies that revealed a link between the two factors only focused on short term effects and did not take other factors into account. He argues that individuals in a state of nature would voluntarily form protective agencies to ensure that their rights are effectively defended. There is the need to suppress these activities because they would subject the clients of the dormant agencyto the risk of rightsviolation. • 23. Doubt John Patrick Shanley Essay Besides earning a Pulitzer Prize, John Patrick Shanley achieved another unique feat with his play, Doubt he expertly crafted a story whose conclusion ultimately lies within the mind and imagination of the reader. Doubt is a play confined within the walls of a Catholic school during the 1960s. It presents a tense clash between Father Flynn, a gregarious priest at the school who advocates progressive ideas and empathy for transgression; and Sister Aloysius, the draconian, stalwartly traditional principal who steadily becomes more and more certain that Flynn has been sexually abusing a student. The story is artfully hewn, ending in a type of purgatory between doubt and certainty that leaves the reader to untangle the web woven by Shanley. Thus, two readers may read the same words formed into the same sentences, but reach polar conclusions regarding the guilt of Father Flynn. Make no mistake; this phenomenon is intentional and will explain a possible motivation behind the play s title: Doubt: A Parable. In the play s preface, Shanley writes: Doubt requires more courage than conviction does, and more energy; because conviction is a resting place and doubt is infinite it is a... They see Ben s marriage as a new beginning for their aging hamlet. All these pressures, unfortunately, make the young man impotent. • 28. Response To Conflict Essay These are just some ways that can enhance the conflict simply because the resources is there at no cost to the refugees. One key note to consider when trying to find a solution to this is that human beings rely on interactions and relationship to other people to help them make sense of the world. All of these mechanisms are a consequence of social factors. Therefore, it s important to look for other responses that allow humanitarian aid to assist the people that need it and protect against escalating the conflict by having their resources support the militant. When militants take advantage of the humanitarian aid supplies, the intentions of the humanitarian aid is being used for something completely different from the values and principles of humanitarian work. Humanitarian aid workers intend to help feed the refugee, not feed the militants that have led to the outset of the crisis (Barber 1997). However, they can t just categorize and fit everyone into dichotomies without crossing the neutrality and impartiality guidelines of the agencies. In all honesty, personally, it seems that everyone has biased and have their own expectations of the profession they choose to take and as much as they follow the mission of the profession, they still have their own individual faith and beliefs. • 29. The Wife Of Bath And The Thousand And One Nights Literature from the medieval times, gives a stereotype that women are promiscuous, manipulative, wicked, and unfaithful. Treatment of women as promiscuous and untrustworthy goes against the nature of women and who God created them to be. Women are not promiscuous and manipulative as men claim them to be; they are good wives, strive to lead a life of holiness like the blessed mother, and are a helper of man. The church s interpretation of the women is that the husband is the head of her and she should be subjected to him (The New American Bible, Ephesians 5: 22 24). In the wife of bath, her fifth husband was questioning his wife, because of all what was written of bad wives by men (Wife of Bath, pg 699). The Thousand and One Nights is centered on a good king who was deceived and hurt by his wife, which twisted his morality. He vowed to marry a woman each night and in the morning he would kill her. The king s daughter, Shahrazad, decided to take a stand and marry the king. With her intelligence and storytelling, she was able not only to save her own life, but her kingdom as well (The Thousand and One Nights, pg 554). Shahrazad was a good wife even if it meant risking her life. Men has an impact on his wife. Yes, he is superior to her, but he needs to bring her to holiness and reciprocate her love. In regards to higher education in prisons the persuasive public echo of why should criminals get for free what the rest of us pay for is a falsehood built on the backs of these rulings. I would argue that the educationpaid for through incarceration entails a greater personal cost of freedoms than a paid tuition could ever represent. I doubt anyone would ever go to prisonto obtain a free education. The ever increasing costs of higher education invoke a regime of scarcity that produces anxiety within the working and middle class. Higher education no longer represents automatic future economic security, furthering social fear. I would argue against the elimination of higher education in prisons; research shows that prison education reduces recidivism rates and improves public safety (Chappell). Education behind bars means a greater likelihood of post release employment. Post release employment means stability and independence. Stability and independence mean a lower chance of recidivism. Criminal justice researchers Richard Tewksbury and Kenneth Stengel conclude a more abstract benefit of prison education than just reducing recidivism, Participation in educational programs yields a positive influence on the psychological well being of inmates, reduces rule infractions, and enrolled inmates serve as role models to other inmates ... The Importance Of Water Resources In Africa Water is one of the vital resources required by every living organism, yet a large percentage of the earth s people do not have access to an adequate and constant supply of water. In the developing world, many rural communities are located in water scarce areas, where there is uneven distribution of hydrological resources and economic and/or political barriers to pipe and distribute water from the ground or surface (UN, 2014). People living in developing and under developed countries live with unsanitary conditions where their everyday survival is the main concern. The observational method is done by observing and collecting data which is then used to describe the behavior. The researcher observes the events in a natural setting so none of the variables are manipulated. There must be interjudge reliability, meaning that when different researchers administer the same test to the same subject they each must obtain the same measurement. The advantages in this method is that it is the simplest method, it has greater accuracy, and it is useful for setting up hypothesis. The weaknesses are that this method is hard to observe because of privacy and secrecy. It is great for explanation but not as good for prediction and description. The observer might also be biased being that he has his own opinion on what is right and wrong. The correlation method focuses on prediction. It is a statistical measure of two or more variables and the relation between them are assessed. The Correlation coefficient assesses how well you can predict one variable from another. A positive correlation is when the value of one variable increases it is associated with the increase of the other variable. For example height and weight, the more one grows the more he will weigh. They indicated that the number of students in the class was an issue that made it hard to manage several groups within one class. Such findings were also emphasised in responding to question 6 in the questionnaire where 68% of the teachers stated that they had from 20 to 40 students in their classes (see Table 6). This would suggest that teachers need to divide students into eight or ten groups in order to implement communicative activities successfully and, thus, it would be difficult to manage all groups. 5.4.7 Examinations The interviewee teachers indicated that the accountability of Libyan students to examinations is an issue for an effective integration of CLT in Libyan context. One of the interviewees said: We as teachers do not have the right to design or adapt the final exams questions as the Ministry of Education has the responsibility to decide who will design them. This really reflects a negative influence for students and this makes them concerning only how to pass the exams which are mostly based on grammar exercises . Such orientation may lead to negative influence on the process of learning English language. As this could imply that the focus is shifting from fluency into accuracy which perhaps would be an issue for both applying CLT effectively and the students outcomes. • 51. A Good Deed Can Brighten Even The Darkest Of Worlds It is said that a good deed can brighten even the darkest of worlds. Opportunities to help others can come in a variety of ways and each is important, in its own respect. While microfinancing and charitable programs both have their respective benefits, in certain circumstances one may be more appropriate than the other. Charity should be implemented in times of emergency because it provides short term aid with no strings, prevents banks from capitalizing on tragedy and provides massive aid, whereas microfinancing loans should be utilized so that individual borrowers experience long term assistance and so that jobs can be created in impoverished areas. Charity is more beneficial tham microfinancing loans particularly in times of severe crisis. Philanthropy is absolutely vital when tragedy strikes. After natural disasters, individuals are not thinking about long term financial security for their family but rather when their children may get their next meal and where they will lay their heads at night. Loans are not effective these situations. The effects of loans cannot be appreciated because the borrower immediately must begin planning how to pay them back. Although it is not directly stated on the Kiva website, it can be inferred that the microfinancing system in Nepal crumbled beneath the rubble of the earthquake in early 2015. There are currently no borrowers in Nepal despite an impoverished lower class that Kiva frequently lends to in other countries. Charity prevents ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
