Lord Brahm The Father Of Hindu Gods And God
Brahma, the father of Hindu gods and men, is depicted as the creator of the universe. He is the first
member of the Hindu Trinity and ruler of all. Brahma is acknowledged as the creator as he
periodically creates everything in the universe, periodically due to the Hindu cyclical belief of
everything being created for a certain period of time and destroyed only to be renewed in a new form
once again. Of the three greatest Hindu deities, Lord Brahma dominates the first position, that of the
creator. As creator of all things, Brahma must have people of his own flesh; the most significant one,
Goddess Saraswathy, consort and daughter of Brahma. Besides Saraswathy, there are four sages that
roam the universe as Brahma s first mind born creations and sons; Sanaka, Sanatana, Sananadana and
Sanatkumara. The four Kumaras were the only sons born out of Brahma s mind rather than his body
and were the only ones who refused his order to procreate, therefore devoted themselves to Vishnu
and celibacy. Brahma then went on to creating ten sons (Prajapatis) from his mind, who are
acknowledged as the fathers of the human race.
Lord Brahma s birth story is unique in its setting. He is said to have been born from Vishnu s navel
through the lotus flower. After the great flood, Vishnu summoned his creative powers and formed
earth in the shape of a lotus escalating from his navel. It is believed that Brahma developed from this
lotus, therefore having the lotus symbolize his birth. Brahma then

Brazil Party System Essay
Introduction: Political parties represent very important factor in order to have a democratic system in
particular and a democratic country in general, they work as the mediator between the society and the
state and the effectiveness of the party system in any country depend mainly on its ability to achieve
the demands of the public. However, in Latin America, not all the countries have that important
function of the party system. Brazil and Chile from the period of 1990 2006 show similar type of a
party system [both have multi party politics] but not similar outcome regarding the fulfillment of
public demands which should be the priority for any democratic governments]. Party system in Brazil

Dulce Et Decorum Est
Poetry composers evoke ideas of truth to help individuals and readers understand their ideas that have
been portrayed through their work. Wilfred Owen was a war poet who served in world war one. In
Owens poems of Dulce Et Decourm Est and Anthem for Doomed youth . Both poems explore the
ideas of meaningless sacrifice and suffering as wells as the horrors of war. Owen used many poetic
techniques to help him convey his ideas of war.
Young lives are wasted in war which only increases the cruelty and meaningless of it. Wilfred Owen s
poem, Dulce et Decorum est follows the death of a young soldier. In the line If you could hear at every
jolt the blood froth from his corroded lungs. The strong use of visual and sensory imagery depicts
what the soldier s final moments of how his life ended, the soldier died a painful death from

Owen successfully evokes the ideas of truth in the poem Dulce et Decorum est the line You would not
believe with such high zest, to children ardent for some desperate glory, the old lie through the use of
metaphors and personification Owen demonstrates that the reality of the individual s experience in
war meant that they ended up challenging their sense of duty, their blind patriotism and understood
that the true meaning of war is futile. The unimaginable suffering they lived through further highlights
this reality. Also in the poem Anthem for doomed youth Owen explores the truth of war in the quote
Shall shine the holy glimmers of goodbyes. Owen uses the technique of symbolism to link the
glimmers of goodbyes to a funeral. Many soldiers did not receive proper funeral rights and were just
buried in mass graves. Owen also shows the truth of war through the mortality of war in his
oxymoronic approach of the colossal loss of life. Essentially Owen explores the truth of war through
the themes of psychological scars and the horrors of

Case Study Of The Securities And Exchange Commission
Case Study Examination and Ethical Questions The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC)
imposes regulations on individuals and companies to ensure compliance with federal laws. Among the
laws imposed by the SEC is the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA), which prohibits bribes to
foreign officials for the purpose of gaining or retaining business (SEC, 2016). While Con Way, Inc.
did not directly violate this act, it failed to ensure its subsidiary complied. Furthermore, it failed to
implement internal controls over said subsidiary which prevented the detection of the FCPA
violations. Case Study: Con Way Inc. Con Way, Inc. is an international freight forwarding
organization incorporated in Delaware, and headquartered in San Mateo, California. Among its
subsidiaries from 1989 through 2004 were Menlo Forwarding and Emery Transnational. While Menlo
Forwarding was headquartered in Redwood City, California, Emery Transnational was a Philippines
based subsidiary (Mintz Morris, 2014). The violations of the FCPA by Con way, Inc. occurred within
Emery. Con Way s failure to implement proper internal accounting controls resulted in the violations
going undiscovered until 2003 when steps were finally taken to improve internal reporting
requirements. As the FCPA distinguishes between facilitating payments and the more serious issues
such as bribery, any subsequent penalties for violating the act make perfect sense from an ethics
standpoint. Bribery in and of itself is an

mapping. INTRODUCTION TO MOBILE PHONES Wireless communication has come a long way
since weighing around 1.1 kg in 1983 to the myriad of smartphones available in the market today that
are lightweight and loaded with endless features. But it all began towards the 20th century, when
telegraph and radio technology were evolving tremendously. The transatlantic telegraph was built by
1866. An affinity towards wireless communication was growing for a number of reasons: (i) Increased
mobility. (ii) No wiring. (iii) Remote access. (iv) Innovative solution. (v) Defence strategies. The
concept of mobile phones is based on a very sophisticated radio. Mobile phones have power run
transmitters in them. This power is supplied by a battery. A low power phone requires smaller battery
that allows use of hand held sets, which are not overly bulky. Transmitters convert voice/sound into
electrical signals sent over a frequency spectrum that are received at the station and converted back to

Cox et al. in 2006 (Cox, 2006) concluded that the perception of crowding in passenger rail is created
from an interplay of cognitive, social and environmental factors, whereas density refers to objective
physical characteristics of the situation. Similarly, there is enough literature available that establishes
the fact that crowding is not just dependent on physical density but also on various physical
antecedents, interpersonal factors, individual characteristics and modifiers (Sundstorm, 1978). Culture
also plays a role in the perception or tolerance of crowding. Evans et al. (2000) found that residential

(6) Risk (safety and public health), which is strongly related to the perceived cleanliness of the
carriage environment, especially the holds and the seat coverings. (7) Emotion the perception and
tolerance of crowding is influenced by a passenger s emotions prior to embarkation. (8) Behaviour of
fellow passengers (e.g., loud phone conversations, the odor of unclean passengers, noisy school
children, and a general lack of etiquette), which would also exaggerate crowding. (Zheng Li, 2013).
With regard to the subjective dimension of crowding, two measures are used to capture it in the
literature. (i) How crowded people feel, and (ii) how crowded people rate sitting Factor analysis
suggested that two crowding measures are conceptually different, where the feel crowd item (i.e., how
crowded people feel) is associated with perceived density, constraint, distraction, and stress, while the
environmental rating item (i.e., how crowded people rate seating) is loaded only with perceived
density. The former is more sensitive to changes in physical density than the latter (Zheng Li, 2013).
(Mahudin, 2012), developed a 3 scale instrument where rail users in UK were asked the following
questions (1) Evaluation of the psychosocial aspects of the crowded situation How crowded is the
train that you are on today?
(2) Affective reactions to the crowded situation How do you feel inside the train that you commute on
today?
(3) Evaluation of the ambient environment of the

Many rappers including the late quot;Notorious B.I.G quot; and quot;2Pac quot;, two very well known
rappers, made innumerable references to the use and sale of drugs, along with the profit to be made, in
their lyrics. In the song quot;Sky s the Limit quot;, the Notorious B.I.G raps about his school days,
being a young drug dealer, rapping quot;Buy a dime [of marijuana], smoke five, sell the rest for 20/ a
young nigga making far too much money/ I was the only 8th grader with a mobile [phone]. quot;
Other rappers have based their entire careers on drugs like rapper quot;Redman quot; who is an open
and proud marijuana smoker and promoter. In an interview in quot;Source quot; Magazine, he stated
quot;I spend about 18 20,000 dollars last year on [marijuana] quot;. He makes many references to the
drug in just about every song he is featured in. While all this is going on, you can see these rappers
sporting the newest clothes, the shiniest diamonds and the fastest cars. Rappers, unlike other high paid
professionals, have a reputation for flaunting and bragging about their money. Music videos are the
perfect stage to do this and rappers take full advantage of the opportunity with $7,000,000 + videos
containing cars, special effects and in one video, a $200,000 platinum gold tank, believe it or not. The
clear message here is that power, wealth and stardom are accompanied by violence and corruption.

The Deconstruction Of Mentor Texts Essay
Each of the three cycles included one initial draft writing session, one elaborating ideas session and
one changing vocabulary session. Each of the inquiry cycles had a different authentic context and
topic focus and each session involved links to reading programme (Appendix ?). Although text
structure and topic knowledge was not an explicit focus of the intervention, it is recognised as an
essential foundation of expert writing. Therefore the deconstruction of mentor texts, analysis of text
structure and developing topic knowledge was built into the reading programme and the initial draft
writing sessions. The elaborating ideas session was focused on writing for an audience and ensuring
their writing provide their audience with appropriate, specific and depth of information. The changing
vocabulary sessions focused on identifying common words and replacing or adding synonyms that
were rarely used in their writing. Following each inquiry cycles one or two substantial changes were

Egg Donation Failure
In order to identify the problem of egg donation, one must take into account the harm that is attached
to said problem. Without payment regulations, egg donation agencies have the ability to compete with
one another to receive more donations. This lack of order is detrimental to the health of women
because of the financial encouragement to become repeat donors. To decrease the number of repeat
donors, all egg donation agencies should strictly implement the $10,000 maximum payment set forth
by the American Society of Reproductive Medicine (ASRM). By decreasing the payment maximum
across the board for all egg donation agencies, women are less inclined to repeat the process.
Monetary benefit may not be the only motivation for women to donate, however, it is still an incentive
that plays a major role in women s decision making. As an example, Sierra Poulson, a three time
donor, revealed that the third time she donated was only for money (Lewin, 2015). Poulson displays
how the market of egg donation works and how money affects the tendency that women have to
continue donating. As a result of decreased numbers of repeat donors, women are less susceptible to
the health risks that come along with the process. The more serious risk of egg donation is ovarian ...

Physics Of Baseball Essay
Physics is used all the time in our daily lives. It is used in almost everything that we do for example,
playing basketball, walking, running, driving and of course our subject of the day is physics behind
baseball. Baseball uses physics in everything like, throwing a ball, running to the bases, catching the
ball, and batting. Batting is one of the main things in baseball that use a lot of physics because it is
important that you know how hard , and where to swing in order to get the ball to where you want it to
go. If you face the bat up you will hit a pop fly and the other player will immediately run under it and
catch it. Force also plays an important role in baseball when it comes to throwing and running. Force

players or maybe a little extra incase one o them get hurt and need another to go in. There are exactly
four bases which are you ( home base, first base, second base, and your third base). Each base must be
ninety feet away from each other because you must run a certain distance to get to then and it would
be unfair is one was further than the other. There is also a base in the center of the field which is where
the pitcher pitches to the batter in home base. There are lines marked all around the field where it
indicates that the balls that cross the line is considered a foul ball and each line is about ninety degrees
being the available space in baseball., and about forty five from the left to right when standing in

In The Veldt by Ray Bradbury, the parents, George and Lydia are at fault for their own death because
they didn t decrease the screen time for their kids Wendy, and Peter earlier in their lives. Which could
have gotten them addicted over time. I also found this website named Limiting screen time for kids.
And that website tells me that as a child grows a parent will need to decide how much media to let
your child use each day, also, what websites are appropriate for them. In the story it states that the
children were sobbing and screaming when their parents took away their technology, this caused the
kids to get mad. This other website Technology Addiction states that Technology addiction, sometimes
called internet addiction, or Internet Use Disorder is a fairly new phenomenon in the world. Peter told
his dad to call a psychologist to fix the nursery room when they don t need it. Usually kids don t call a
psychiatrist so this proves that the kids were addicted to technology.

What Are The Causes Of World War 1 Essay
World War 1 also known as the The Great War or War to End All Wars had a lot of reasons that were
rooted to the main cause or causes of World War 1. The main causes of World War 1 are militarism,
mutual defense alliances, and the assassination of the Austrian archduke Franz Ferdinand and his wife.
As World War 1 had lot s of causes, the cause that had the most impact on causing War World 1 was
the the assassination of Austrian archduke and his wife. The death of Austrian archduke and his wife
was the most important cause of World War 1 because it is widely acknowledged to have sparked the
outbreak of World War 1. A guy named Princip fired into the car, shooting Franz Ferdinand and

Most people may think the United States possess the strongest weapons in the world. Carl Bildt of the
Washington Post, wrote an article relating to Donald Trump s foreign policy and he mentioned, Iran
has a ballistic missile program that is rightly seen as threatening by its neighbors. But it is hardly alone
in this. Israel s ballistic missile arsenal is likely to be far more sophisticated. And though this fact is
little discussed, Saudi Arabia has acquired Chinese ballistic missiles with regional reach (Bildt). From
the quote, one can assume the Middle Eastern countries can wreak havoc on their neighbors. If the
countries used them it would result in many more casualties of soldiers and civilians. That event
would have the potential of starting a third World War.
Involvement of the United States in the Middle East has caused several terrorist attacks not only in the
United States but, all around the world. Paradoxically, with American involvement in the Middle East,
terrorism continues.
Likewise the United States has spent billions of dollars fighting terrorism. Dr. Emile Nakhleh wrote an
article regarding diplomatic relations with Iran and at one point he said, America has spent billions of
dollars fighting al Qaeda and its affiliated groups and more recently the Islamic State (ISIS or IS) with
little to show for it (Nakhleh). This quote shows the United States and its allies have

Theme Of Sexual Relationships In The Handmaids Tale
The Handmaid s Tale by Margaret Atwood is a story set in an alternate future in which birth rates have
plummeted immensely. In the Republic of Gilead, they seem to have found a solution for this decline
in birth rates: handmaids. Handmaids are women who are fertile. They go to houses of wealthy and
powerful couples who cannot bear children and have sexual intercourse with the male of the house
(also known as the Commander). The problem with this solution is that it is forcing women, such as
our narrator Offred, to have sex. When Offred and the Commander have sex, it is during a ritual called
the Ceremony. Other than the Ceremony, sex is forbidden. Although, there are still some situations in
which it occurs. For instance, at Jezebels, a ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Hassan is proving the point that prostitutes are only regarded by their sexuality and sexiness. Because
of prostitution, women all around are seen as sexual objects. This really impacts how women are
treated by men. Not only do men think they control women in relationships like marriage, but also in
other types of relationships, like boss to employee. Exploitative sex is degrading to women and
harmful to their relationships with men, as seen in The Handmaid s Tale and in Bazelon s New York
Times article.
Jezebel s is the most obvious setting of prostitution in The Handmaid s Tale . Jezebels is an abandoned
hotel in which women dress in revealing clothing from the pre Gilead times. It essentially is a
forbidden strip club. Jezebels is an obvious example of prostitution because of the clothing the women
wear and the fact that their job is to have sex with men. When the Commander brings Offred to
Jezebels, he acts as if he owns Offred while treating her as a sexual object. He brings Offred to
Jezebels and takes her up to a private room to seduce her. Offred thinks, He s stroking my body...It
means ownership. I remind myself that he is not an unkind man; that, under other circumstances, I
even like him (Atwood 254). Offred realizes that in this moment she is owned. Offred, as a woman, is
the Commander s object. The Commander is stroking [Offred s]

In his essays in The Myth of Sisyphus, philosopher Albert Camus states that the only serious
philosophical question is whether or not one should commit suicide. When I first read this it sounded
absolutely absurd, however, after giving it persistent thought I have found that it is not as completely
insane as it may seem. It is a problem I have worked hard to achieve the answer to for the last few
months of my life. If you were to die right now at this exact moment in time simple deductive
reasoning demonstrates two possible things that might happen. In the first scenario, where you simply

The Cabin
The Cabin In the middle of nowhere, clear back on a dead end road in a tiny town called Outing, there
is a cabin. It is in Minnesota. When you picture a cabin in your head you think of a log cabin built
entirely of wood that has a big fireplace in the living room and deer heads hanging on the walls. This
cabin was different. It was a small, run down white house that my family has called the cabin, way
before I was born. It had a small fireplace in the living room that I have never seen be used and dead,
stuffed fish on plaques hanging on the wall from years ago. It had two garages that were joined
together with a door like an adjoining hotel room, but they were both detached from the house. Down
the street from the cabin there is a liquor and grocery store, a post office, a gas station, and a small
shop called Owls and Things. Owls and Things is a souvenir shop, but they sell ice cream as well.
Every day we were at the cabin our family would walk down the street and get ice cream. It was by far
the most favorite part of the day, not only because I love ice cream, but because I loved looking
through the glass at all of the different ice cream flavor choices and pondering about which flavor I
was going to pick that day. When I was younger it just seemed so magical and exciting for me to go
and get that ice cream.

The Voice Of Piggy In The Lord Of The Flies
Piggy in The Lord of the Flies was a very smart, yet unheard, voice. He was a friend to Ralph, and if
listened, to he probably would have changed the outcome of the book. In Lord of the Flies, Piggy can
be seen as an outcast in three different ways. The first way was that he was never able to talk. He was
never given attention, and had to demand attention even with the conch. The next way was how he
was excluded from physical activities because of his ass mar . The final way is how unimportant he
was as a person compared to how important his belongings and ideas are.
In the book Lord of the Flies, Piggy is unable to talk in many examples. At many points, he demands
attention by saying he has the conch, but nobody really cares. Piggy held up the conch and the booing
sagged a little, then came up again to strength. I got the conch he shouted I tell you, I got the conch!
(Pg 179 180 Lord of the Flies William Golding). In this quote piggy and Ralph are captured. Jack
punches Ralph, and Ralph returns the favor. Before they are able to begin a full on fight, Piggy begins
to talk at the top of his voice trying to make himself heard. No one cares at all; until he uses the fact
that he has the conch to gain attention. Another example of this is when they are gathered around after
lighting the forest on fire. I ve got the conch, said Piggy, in a hurt voice. I got a right to speak. ... we
got to let that burn out now. And that was our fire wood. He licked his lips There ain t nothing we can
do... I m scared then Jack says You re always scared. Yah Fatty! (Pg 44 45 Lord of the Flies William
Golding). This quote shows the utter disrespect Piggy gets when he tries to talk. Not only is he
ignored, but also insulted.
The next way Piggy is an outcast is because of his ass mar , as the pys referred to his asthma. He is
excluded from many physical activities, and he also excludes himself. He also isn t able to keep up
many times with the pace that moves. One account of this is when they were going to swim. Ralph
starts you can t half swim. Piggy took of his shoes and socks... its hot! (Piggy) What did you expect
(Ralph) I didn t expect nothing. My auntie ... aren t you going to swim? Piggy shook his head I

Essay On Energy Price Volatility
Executive Summary
In this paper, energy price volatility with regards natural gas will be expounded on the essentials of
market requisites. The report explains a number of factors that lead to price differences in the market
as well price volatility implications to the oil and gas companies and industry. Supply and demand
factors play a major role in shaping natural gas prices in addition to other factors such as war,
environments and OPEC. Value at Risk (VaR) as a tool to manage risk and quantify market risk is
used in this industry to understand causes and implications for corrective actions to be put in place.

and information discussed in this report.
Overview
Huntington H. G. 2009 points that recent changes in natural gas market are attributed to market forces
and organizations that operate within the industry. As industry develops into new end user markets and
producers, prices adjust according to the changes in the market.
Due to the key roles of energy influence on global economic welfare such as house cooling and
heating, and business composition determinants and cost of goods and service; its pricing is
fundamental for correct and efficient choice of appropriate energy source. (Davis L. W. and
Muehlegger E. 2010). As Energy Information Administration EIA 2014 puts it, total natural gas
consumption within industrial and electric power sectors in the U.S. was expected to grow from the
25.6 trillion cubic feet (Tcf) in 2012 to 31.6Tcf in 2040. The use of this energy source escalates in all
sectors apart from residential due to population movement to warmer areas. (EIA 2014) figure 1. For

ones. One day, I would love to go to the Art Basel in Miami. 25 minutes later, I enter the Museum of

amazed at the art. There are several paintings, and sculptures around the room. One painting catches

reminds me of the view from the hills of Twin Peaks. I head towards the next exhibition, which is just
filled with different types of paintings. I see paintings of people, buildings, indoors, and much more.
For some unknown reason, my all time favorite painting is Van Gogh s self portrait. I m not sure why I
like it so much, but I do. I also really love his painting called Starry Night . It gives me a calm,

Free Tutoring Is A Great Thing For The End Of The Day Essay
Introduction
A lot of parents would love to get their child the help they need for school, or extra help to get ahead if
needed. Today there are a lot of tutoring programs out here, but all of them are not free. So, where
does that leave the children and the parents who cannot afford these programs? It can leave that child
at a lost because that child is not getting that extra help to become successful. Free tutoring is a great
thing for several reasons. At the HOPE Academy they offer free tutoring for students who may cannot
afford tutoring and are behind in their class. HOPE academy is making a differences in their kid s
lives because it is not just tutoring at the end of the day.
Social issues/challenges
There are several social issues that pertains to my service learning, but the main issue I would say is
getting the students the extra help that they need. Most of the students live in poverty or not the best of
areas and getting access to the extra help for school are slim to none. Most of the students who come
into the tutoring program at HOPE are not on their reading grade level or math grade level. This is
nothing to come to be a shock because there are a lot of kids every year that fall behind their grade
level. It seems to be the ones that do not live the best of areas.
This is a serious issue because once a child is behind especially at a young age it can be very difficult
to catch back up. Unfortunately, that child may never catch up to grade level if he or she

The British Museum Exhibition Of A Nation s Cultural...
Soft power was popularized as a term in the 1990s when Joseph Nye wrote of the ways a nation s
cultural resources constitute a form of power that enhances, or even substitutes for military and
economic strength (Hunter 2009, 374 5). In this case, China is utilizing its cultural resource, the
terracotta army, to propel themselves forward without the use of military or business tactics. It can be
inferred that China is using peaceful means to project its power onto the world stage, through culture,
art, and artifact (Hunter 2008, 284). China is placing a highly orchestrated (literally, curated) story into
the minds and eyes of hundreds of thousands of exhibition goers in all of the powerful, wealthy,
Western countries of the world. Specific vocabulary is being used, specific music, imagery, and
lighting, is being selected and projected. A very specific story is being told in each of these
exhibitions. The British Museum exhibition utilized imagery of stone faces, not illuminated to see the
details, but drenched in stripes of darkness to emphasize the mysterious, subterranean existence of the
statues. (Portal and Kinoshita 2007). Press releases from Atlanta s High Museum emphasized the
legacy of the iconic, magnificent warriors. (High Museum 2008). The Canadians called the Chinese
culture fascinating and captivating , and again, emphasized the legacy of the army (Royal Ontario
Museum 2010). And in Sydney, the story of The First Emperor: China s Entombed Warriors

The Nature Of God With A Physical Presence
The nature of God with a physical presence was also Christian dogma during the New Testament
times. Early Christian theology, like its close cousin, Jewish theology, was built upon a literal reading
of the Hebrew sacred writings (aka Old Testament scriptures) with its habitual use of direct
anthropomorphisms. The early Christians in antiquity, like the Jews, were quite comfortable with this
anthropomorphist God in whose image and likeness man was created. This would not be the case for
long, for within a few centuries the Christians would feel a need to modify this theological concept by
adopting, adapting and merging Greek philosophical elements.
By the time of the third century theologian, Origen, the concept of God as espoused by Greek
philosophers prevailed in the then current Christian theology.
The Jews indeed, but also some of our own people, supposed that God should be understood as a man,
that is, adorned with human members and human appearance. But the philosophers despise these
stories as fabulous and formed in the likeness of poetic fictions.
However, as noted above, there were a few Christians, who like the Jews of ancient times, still
believed in an anthropomorphic God. There are some still today. Benjamin D. Sommer draws a
distinction in the theological implications between the Jewish and Christian concepts of an
anthropological deity.
For the Tanakh, for rabbinic literature, and for important strands in Jewish mysticism, God has always
been a corporeal

Drama Club Application Essay
I am a person who has many interest and I m glad that I do. Without exploring the activities I like I
probably would not have accomplished a lot in my four years. I find that I like visual and performing
arts a lot, but I m finding a new love for sports. I feel like my greatest achievement was joining the
drama club and the swim team.
During my junior year I wanted to be apart of school activities, but not to the point that it would
negatively affect my grades. To satisfy my needs I decided to join the drama club. It was most likely
the best decision I made that year. It was fun to be with people who came from different backgrounds
and be apart of such a great family. What made it even better was that the teacher who is in charge of
the program was always willing to help.
Being my senior year I wanted to try out for a school sport and swimming had interested me the most.
I was unsure if I would even make to be apart of the swim team since I have never done a competitive
sport in school. I actually got to make the team and compete, I was not the best but I did improve a lot
by the end of the season! ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Benefits Of Attending A Community College
Students nowadays face many challenges when it comes to obtaining a college education. We evaluate
an institution s quality based on what we need the most. The qualities sought out may vary by each
person s personal point of view. However, as a student, I ve found that most students seek for an
institute that benefits them the most. Attending a community college has been an enormous advantage
towards my education. I have been attending San Bernardino Valley College for the last two
semesters. I have come to respect their philosophies and values. The institution has now been in
business for 87 years. They venture to encourage both students and faculty towards high standards of
achievement and progress into exceptional members of the society. They now offer a variety of
degrees, transfer programs and certificates for a wide range of students. San Bernardino Valley
College has an accomplished staff, student support services and technological tools that pave the road
towards the conquest of a quality education.
Benefits of attending a community college as opposed to a traditional university tend to be overlooked
by potential students. They are either unaware of its advantages or do not fully understand how this
type of education can benefit their cause. Year after year large amounts of students choose to go
straight from high school and in to four year universities. The problem with this particular situations is
that universities in general tend to have 50 400 students in one

Analysis Of The Book Kamo No Chomei
Kamo No Chomei as opposed to Genji went out into seclusion on his own account, Genji was exiled
from the capital and went into seclusion to Suma, although he had a few servants he imagines himself
in solitude. In An Account of a Ten Foot Square Hut, the writer is basically revealing that peace can be
found in beauty, and beauty is found within the soul. Sometimes the way of civilization (worry about
reputation, ranking of social status, politics, love affairs, etc.) interferes in finding spiritual peace.
However, Genji was a man in love with beauty and the arts, but he was never at peace with himself.
He needed the company of other, specially the company of beautiful women. He might have appeared
self centered, selfish, and arrogant at first, but after reading Chomei s story, one can see the good side
of Genji s persona. Kamo No Chomei, An Account of a Ten Foot Square Hut , recounts his life
experience as a Buddhist in seclusion in the depths of Mount Ohara, moreover in his late years move
deeper in the depths of Mount Hino. Kamo No Chomei went in seclusion escaping the horrors of the
city capital. Chomei view the world as beautiful yet perilous, hence he perceived life itself as difficult,
especially city life. In his life, he witnessed the worst the world can throw at you when nature rebels
against it. He witnessed hunger and deaths by the thousands as consequence from fires, storm winds,
earthquakes, sickness, and epidemics. People, wealthy and poor, ran out

The Worst And Mother Maria Pfenning A Copy Of The Papers
Jawohl, Herr Obersturmbannführer, answered Walther. He showed Horst the Worst and Mother Maria
Pfenning a copy of the papers, which, not only did it came with the letter and a vaguely brief
description of his duty station, but it also included a map detailing the location of his personal living
quarters. That makes sense. Permission to go to my living quarters, Herr Obersturmbannführer?
Permission accepted, Herr Schäffer, responded Horst. Have a safe and fine day here. Likewise, said
Walther, before he and Horst got out of their chairs and (alongside Mother Pfenning) saluted one
another. Afterwards, Walther picked up his knapsack and went outside the office, and brushed any dust
that might be resting on his spotless Hitlerjugend uniform. Outside, in the stone hallways, Walther was
then greeted by an oncoming group of well groomed BDM girls. Interestingly, one of the girls wore a
strange looking pendant that was unfamiliar to him, for it was not part of the official uniform of the
BDM. To make things even interesting, one of the girls stopped to greet him, which her accomplices
do so as a result. You must be the new kid that everyone s been talking about, the girl greeted Walther
by saluting him. Nice of you to have noticed, Walther smiled as he saluted back at the girl in response,
before shaking her hand. My name is Walther...Walther Schäffer. And you must be...? Matilde, Ostara,
dressed in her original BDM uniform, told Walther. These girls that I am

  • 3. Lord Brahm The Father Of Hindu Gods And God Brahma, the father of Hindu gods and men, is depicted as the creator of the universe. He is the first member of the Hindu Trinity and ruler of all. Brahma is acknowledged as the creator as he periodically creates everything in the universe, periodically due to the Hindu cyclical belief of everything being created for a certain period of time and destroyed only to be renewed in a new form once again. Of the three greatest Hindu deities, Lord Brahma dominates the first position, that of the creator. As creator of all things, Brahma must have people of his own flesh; the most significant one, Goddess Saraswathy, consort and daughter of Brahma. Besides Saraswathy, there are four sages that roam the universe as Brahma s first mind born creations and sons; Sanaka, Sanatana, Sananadana and Sanatkumara. The four Kumaras were the only sons born out of Brahma s mind rather than his body and were the only ones who refused his order to procreate, therefore devoted themselves to Vishnu and celibacy. Brahma then went on to creating ten sons (Prajapatis) from his mind, who are acknowledged as the fathers of the human race. Lord Brahma s birth story is unique in its setting. He is said to have been born from Vishnu s navel through the lotus flower. After the great flood, Vishnu summoned his creative powers and formed earth in the shape of a lotus escalating from his navel. It is believed that Brahma developed from this lotus, therefore having the lotus symbolize his birth. Brahma then ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Case Study Of The Securities And Exchange Commission Case Study Examination and Ethical Questions The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) imposes regulations on individuals and companies to ensure compliance with federal laws. Among the laws imposed by the SEC is the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA), which prohibits bribes to foreign officials for the purpose of gaining or retaining business (SEC, 2016). While Con Way, Inc. did not directly violate this act, it failed to ensure its subsidiary complied. Furthermore, it failed to implement internal controls over said subsidiary which prevented the detection of the FCPA violations. Case Study: Con Way Inc. Con Way, Inc. is an international freight forwarding organization incorporated in Delaware, and headquartered in San Mateo, California. Among its subsidiaries from 1989 through 2004 were Menlo Forwarding and Emery Transnational. While Menlo Forwarding was headquartered in Redwood City, California, Emery Transnational was a Philippines based subsidiary (Mintz Morris, 2014). The violations of the FCPA by Con way, Inc. occurred within Emery. Con Way s failure to implement proper internal accounting controls resulted in the violations going undiscovered until 2003 when steps were finally taken to improve internal reporting requirements. As the FCPA distinguishes between facilitating payments and the more serious issues such as bribery, any subsequent penalties for violating the act make perfect sense from an ethics standpoint. INTRODUCTION TO MOBILE PHONES Wireless communication has come a long way since weighing around 1.1 kg in 1983 to the myriad of smartphones available in the market today that are lightweight and loaded with endless features. But it all began towards the 20th century, when telegraph and radio technology were evolving tremendously. The transatlantic telegraph was built by 1866. Similarly, there is enough literature available that establishes the fact that crowding is not just dependent on physical density but also on various physical antecedents, interpersonal factors, individual characteristics and modifiers (Sundstorm, 1978). (8) Behaviour of fellow passengers (e.g., loud phone conversations, the odor of unclean passengers, noisy school children, and a general lack of etiquette), which would also exaggerate crowding. (Zheng Li, 2013). With regard to the subjective dimension of crowding, two measures are used to capture it in the literature. (i) How crowded people feel, and (ii) how crowded people rate sitting Factor analysis suggested that two crowding measures are conceptually different, where the feel crowd item (i.e., how crowded people feel) is associated with perceived density, constraint, distraction, and stress, while the environmental rating item (i.e., how crowded people rate seating) is loaded only with perceived density. The former is more sensitive to changes in physical density than the latter (Zheng Li, 2013). • 14. Egg Donation Failure In order to identify the problem of egg donation, one must take into account the harm that is attached to said problem. Without payment regulations, egg donation agencies have the ability to compete with one another to receive more donations. This lack of order is detrimental to the health of women because of the financial encouragement to become repeat donors. To decrease the number of repeat donors, all egg donation agencies should strictly implement the $10,000 maximum payment set forth by the American Society of Reproductive Medicine (ASRM). By decreasing the payment maximum across the board for all egg donation agencies, women are less inclined to repeat the process. Monetary benefit may not be the only motivation for women to donate, however, it is still an incentive that plays a major role in women s decision making. As an example, Sierra Poulson, a three time donor, revealed that the third time she donated was only for money (Lewin, 2015). As World War 1 had lot s of causes, the cause that had the most impact on causing War World 1 was the the assassination of Austrian archduke and his wife. The death of Austrian archduke and his wife was the most important cause of World War 1 because it is widely acknowledged to have sparked the outbreak of World War 1. It was the cause of alliances, militarism and the assassination of Austrian archduke and his wife. Most American soldiers who died in the past 15 years, died in the Middle East. To reduce the death toll the United States should not involve themselves in the Middle East for three reasons. First, the United States risks the lives of soldiers and civilians in the Middle East. Moreover, the United States can be targeted by terrorists from the Middle East. In addition, the United States do not have very strong relationships in the Middle East. In the first place, most conflicts in the Middle East have caused the United States to intervene. Carl Bildt of the Washington Post, wrote an article relating to Donald Trump s foreign policy and he mentioned, Iran has a ballistic missile program that is rightly seen as threatening by its neighbors. But it is hardly alone in this. Israel s ballistic missile arsenal is likely to be far more sophisticated. And though this fact is little discussed, Saudi Arabia has acquired Chinese ballistic missiles with regional reach (Bildt). From the quote, one can assume the Middle Eastern countries can wreak havoc on their neighbors. If the countries used them it would result in many more casualties of soldiers and civilians. That event would have the potential of starting a third World War. Involvement of the United States in the Middle East has caused several terrorist attacks not only in the United States but, all around the world. Paradoxically, with American involvement in the Middle East, terrorism continues. Likewise the United States has spent billions of dollars fighting terrorism. Dr. Emile Nakhleh wrote an article regarding diplomatic relations with Iran and at one point he said, America has spent billions of dollars fighting al Qaeda and its affiliated groups and more recently the Islamic State (ISIS or IS) with little to show for it (Nakhleh). In the Republic of Gilead, they seem to have found a solution for this decline in birth rates: handmaids. Handmaids are women who are fertile. They go to houses of wealthy and powerful couples who cannot bear children and have sexual intercourse with the male of the house (also known as the Commander). The problem with this solution is that it is forcing women, such as our narrator Offred, to have sex. When Offred and the Commander have sex, it is during a ritual called the Ceremony. This really impacts how women are treated by men. Not only do men think they control women in relationships like marriage, but also in other types of relationships, like boss to employee. Exploitative sex is degrading to women and harmful to their relationships with men, as seen in The Handmaid s Tale and in Bazelon s New York Times article. Jezebel s is the most obvious setting of prostitution in The Handmaid s Tale . Jezebels is an abandoned hotel in which women dress in revealing clothing from the pre Gilead times. It essentially is a forbidden strip club. Jezebels is an obvious example of prostitution because of the clothing the women wear and the fact that their job is to have sex with men. When you picture a cabin in your head you think of a log cabin built entirely of wood that has a big fireplace in the living room and deer heads hanging on the walls. This cabin was different. It was a small, run down white house that my family has called the cabin, way before I was born. It had a small fireplace in the living room that I have never seen be used and dead, stuffed fish on plaques hanging on the wall from years ago. It had two garages that were joined together with a door like an adjoining hotel room, but they were both detached from the house. Down the street from the cabin there is a liquor and grocery store, a post office, a gas station, and a small shop called Owls and Things. Owls and Things is a souvenir shop, but they sell ice cream as well. Every day we were at the cabin our family would walk down the street and get ice cream. It was by far the most favorite part of the day, not only because I love ice cream, but because I loved looking through the glass at all of the different ice cream flavor choices and pondering about which flavor I was going to pick that day. • 29. The Voice Of Piggy In The Lord Of The Flies Piggy in The Lord of the Flies was a very smart, yet unheard, voice. He was a friend to Ralph, and if listened, to he probably would have changed the outcome of the book. In Lord of the Flies, Piggy can be seen as an outcast in three different ways. The first way was that he was never able to talk. He was never given attention, and had to demand attention even with the conch. The next way was how he was excluded from physical activities because of his ass mar . The final way is how unimportant he was as a person compared to how important his belongings and ideas are. In the book Lord of the Flies, Piggy is unable to talk in many examples. At many points, he demands attention by saying he has the conch, but nobody really cares. Piggy held up the conch and the booing sagged a little, then came up again to strength. I got the conch he shouted I tell you, I got the conch! (Pg 179 180 Lord of the Flies William Golding). In this quote piggy and Ralph are captured. Jack punches Ralph, and Ralph returns the favor. Before they are able to begin a full on fight, Piggy begins to talk at the top of his voice trying to make himself heard. No one cares at all; until he uses the fact that he has the conch to gain attention. Another example of this is when they are gathered around after lighting the forest on fire. I ve got the conch, said Piggy, in a hurt voice. I got a right to speak. ... we got to let that burn out now. And that was our fire wood. He licked his lips There ain t nothing we can do... I m scared then Jack says You re always scared. Yah Fatty! (Pg 44 45 Lord of the Flies William Golding). This quote shows the utter disrespect Piggy gets when he tries to talk. Not only is he ignored, but also insulted. The next way Piggy is an outcast is because of his ass mar , as the pys referred to his asthma. He is excluded from many physical activities, and he also excludes himself. He also isn t able to keep up many times with the pace that moves. One account of this is when they were going to swim. • 40. The First Golden Age Of Television Sixth Response In the first golden age, there was no gold. In fact, there was no color, only black and white. The first golden age of television occurred in the nineteen fifties and the gold was quite humble on the surface. Because the shows were about local police, cowboys and housewives. • 42. The Nature Of God With A Physical Presence The nature of God with a physical presence was also Christian dogma during the New Testament times. Early Christian theology, like its close cousin, Jewish theology, was built upon a literal reading of the Hebrew sacred writings (aka Old Testament scriptures) with its habitual use of direct anthropomorphisms. The early Christians in antiquity, like the Jews, were quite comfortable with this anthropomorphist God in whose image and likeness man was created. This would not be the case for long, for within a few centuries the Christians would feel a need to modify this theological concept by adopting, adapting and merging Greek philosophical elements. By the time of the third century theologian, Origen, the concept of God as espoused by Greek philosophers prevailed in the then current Christian theology. The Jews indeed, but also some of our own people, supposed that God should be understood as a man, that is, adorned with human members and human appearance. But the philosophers despise these stories as fabulous and formed in the likeness of poetic fictions. However, as noted above, there were a few Christians, who like the Jews of ancient times, still believed in an anthropomorphic God. There are some still today. Benjamin D. Sommer draws a distinction in the theological implications between the Jewish and Christian concepts of an anthropological deity. For the Tanakh, for rabbinic literature, and for important strands in Jewish mysticism, God has always been a corporeal ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 43. Drama Club Application Essay I am a person who has many interest and I m glad that I do. Without exploring the activities I like I probably would not have accomplished a lot in my four years. I find that I like visual and performing arts a lot, but I m finding a new love for sports. I feel like my greatest achievement was joining the drama club and the swim team. During my junior year I wanted to be apart of school activities, but not to the point that it would negatively affect my grades. To satisfy my needs I decided to join the drama club. It was most likely the best decision I made that year. It was fun to be with people who came from different backgrounds and be apart of such a great family. What made it even better was that the teacher who is in charge of the program was always willing to help. Being my senior year I wanted to try out for a school sport and swimming had interested me the most. I was unsure if I would even make to be apart of the swim team since I have never done a competitive sport in school. I actually got to make the team and compete, I was not the best but I did improve a lot by the end of the season! ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... • 44. Benefits Of Attending A Community College Students nowadays face many challenges when it comes to obtaining a college education. We evaluate an institution s quality based on what we need the most. The qualities sought out may vary by each person s personal point of view. However, as a student, I ve found that most students seek for an institute that benefits them the most. Attending a community college has been an enormous advantage towards my education. I have been attending San Bernardino Valley College for the last two semesters. I have come to respect their philosophies and values. The institution has now been in business for 87 years. They venture to encourage both students and faculty towards high standards of achievement and progress into exceptional members of the society. They now offer a variety of degrees, transfer programs and certificates for a wide range of students. San Bernardino Valley College has an accomplished staff, student support services and technological tools that pave the road towards the conquest of a quality education. Benefits of attending a community college as opposed to a traditional university tend to be overlooked by potential students. They are either unaware of its advantages or do not fully understand how this type of education can benefit their cause. Year after year large amounts of students choose to go straight from high school and in to four year universities. The problem with this particular situations is that universities in general tend to have 50 400 students in one ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 46. The Worst And Mother Maria Pfenning A Copy Of The Papers Jawohl, Herr Obersturmbannführer, answered Walther. He showed Horst the Worst and Mother Maria Pfenning a copy of the papers, which, not only did it came with the letter and a vaguely brief description of his duty station, but it also included a map detailing the location of his personal living quarters. That makes sense. Permission to go to my living quarters, Herr Obersturmbannführer? Permission accepted, Herr Schäffer, responded Horst. Have a safe and fine day here. Likewise, said Walther, before he and Horst got out of their chairs and (alongside Mother Pfenning) saluted one another. Afterwards, Walther picked up his knapsack and went outside the office, and brushed any dust that might be resting on his spotless Hitlerjugend uniform. Outside, in the stone hallways, Walther was then greeted by an oncoming group of well groomed BDM girls. Interestingly, one of the girls wore a strange looking pendant that was unfamiliar to him, for it was not part of the official uniform of the BDM. To make things even interesting, one of the girls stopped to greet him, which her accomplices do so as a result. You must be the new kid that everyone s been talking about, the girl greeted Walther by saluting him. Nice of you to have noticed, Walther smiled as he saluted back at the girl in response, before shaking her hand. My name is Walther...Walther Schäffer. And you must be...?
