This document provides a 12-step guide for women to communicate powerfully without being perceived as a "bitch". It discusses how evolution shaped different behaviors in men and women. To avoid being seen as a bulldozer or doormat, the guide recommends women identify their blind spots, use confident body language, speak assertively without filler words or hedging, learn to interrupt politely, dump passive-aggressive behaviors, exude confidence, and promote themselves. The overall message is that with self-awareness and practice, women can communicate effectively in a professional setting.

Some people, those with physical retail locations say it is all about Location, Location, Location. For business professionals, I say it is all about Network, Network, Network. But hear me now, and listen to me later, it is NOT about random networking with a HOPE of finding someone that might be worth knowing - unless you are simply looking to fill up on cheap heavy hors d'ouvres. It IS about planned networking and increasing the odds that the people you network with (and the people that network with you) will end up making valuable connections for the future.
The perspective of this presentation is for those people that believe they are "introverted" and concerned about how to get started networking.

Microaggressions what are they and how can i avoid using themBizLibrary
Is that your real hair? Can I touch it?" "Where are you actually from?" "You’re so articulate!”
Do any of these sound familiar to you? Maybe you’ve had a few co-workers repeat some of these questions or phrases to you or maybe you yourself have asked a few coworkers some of these questions, not knowing you've probably just offended that person with what is commonly known as a microaggression. There are racial-, gender- and identity-based microaggressions, as well as others that can be found in today’s workplaces.
As more and more organizations continue to take a public and bold stance against racism, it’s important that they practice what they preach. During this session, you will learn how to identify what microaggressions are, and more importantly, how you can upgrade your old vocabulary to one that’s inclusive and appropriate for the modern workforce.
This session's key learning objectives include:
Understanding the need and benefit of embracing an anti-racist relationship with your fellow coworkers
Understanding the difference between microaggressions and macroaggressions, as well as the three most common types of microaggressions found in today’s workforce: racial-based, gender-based, and identity-based microaggressions
What you should actually say the next time you want to have an informative conversation with your black coworkers and other coworkers of color
Presented at Agile Australia 2016.
My team has spent 5 years figuring out how best to follow Agile methodologies and maximise the opportunities we have through design. This journey has had many ups and downs. Along the way we have tried many new methods, evaluated, twisted and turned to get where we are today. My guess (and hope) is that there will be many more twists and turns in the future.
One thing I have learned is that the ability to communicate the value of what we do and the way we do it is paramount to the continuous improvement in our practices.
In this presentation I will step through 5 diagrams I frequently draw on whiteboards that not merely explain the way we work as designers but help others to understand why we design. These will be our “designer mindset”.
Take away clear visualisations around experience, design thinking, process, expertise, collaboration and the effectiveness of design. Recreate and iterate these visualisations to enhance your own designer’s mindset.

Implicitly or explicitly all competing businesses employ a strategy to select a mix
of marketing resources. Formulating such competitive strategies fundamentally
involves recognizing relationships between elements of the marketing mix (e.g.,

Enterprise Excellence is Inclusive Excellence.pdfKaiNexus
Enterprise excellence and inclusive excellence are closely linked, and real-world challenges have shown that both are essential to the success of any organization. To achieve enterprise excellence, organizations must focus on improving their operations and processes while creating an inclusive environment that engages everyone. In this interactive session, the facilitator will highlight commonly established business practices and how they limit our ability to engage everyone every day. More importantly, though, participants will likely gain increased awareness of what we can do differently to maximize enterprise excellence through deliberate inclusion.
What is Enterprise Excellence?
Enterprise Excellence is a holistic approach that's aimed at achieving world-class performance across all aspects of the organization.
What might I learn?
A way to engage all in creating Inclusive Excellence. Lessons from the US military and their parallels to the story of Harry Potter. How belt systems and CI teams can destroy inclusive practices. How leadership language invites people to the party. There are three things leaders can do to engage everyone every day: maximizing psychological safety to create environments where folks learn, contribute, and challenge the status quo.
Who might benefit? Anyone and everyone leading folks from the shop floor to top floor.
