Holography is the science and practice of making holograms. Typically, a hologram is a photographic recording of a light field, rather than of an image formed by a lens, and it is used to display a fully three-dimensional image of the holographed subject, which is seen without the aid of special glasses or other intermediate optics.
3D holographic projection technology clearly has a big future ahead. 3D Holographic projection is the new wave of technology that will change how we see things in the modern era. Three-dimensional holographic projection technology will have tremendous effects on all fields of life including business, education, science, art, and healthcare.

This seminar examines the new technology of Holographic Projections. It
highlights the importance and need of this technology and how it represents the new
wave in the future of technology and communications, the different application of the
technology, the fields of life it will dramatically affect including business, education,
telecommunication and healthcare. The paper also discusses the future of holographic
technology and how it will prevail in the coming years highlighting how it will also
affect and reshape many other fields of life, technologies and businesses.
Holography is a diffraction-based coherent imaging technique in which a
complex three-dimensional object can be reproduced from a flat, two-dimensional
screen with a complex transparency representing amp litude and phase values. It is
commonly agreed that real-time holography is the ne plus ultra art and science of
visualizing fast temporally changing 3-D scenes. The integration of the real-time or
electro-holographic principle into display technology is o ne of the most promising but
also challenging developments for the future consumer display and TV market. Only
holography allows the reconstruction of natural-looking 3-D scenes, and therefore
provides observers with a completely comfortable viewing experience. But to date
several challenges have prevented the technology from becoming commercialized. But
those obstacles are now starting to be overcome. Recently, we have developed a novel
approach to real-time display holography by combining an overlapping sub-hologram
technique with a tracked viewing-window technology.

We can often see three–dimensional holographic communication technology in science fiction movies, using the principle of three-dimensional computer graphics, and the distant person or thing can be projected in the air in the form of a three dimensional. With the development of science, all the equipment miniaturization and precision, the display device cannot match and humans would increasingly demand a new display technology to solve the problem. The 3d holographic projection precisely fits this role.

Holography (from the Greek, whole + write) is the science of producing holograms.
It is an advanced form of photography that allows an image to be recorded in three dimensions. It involves the use of a laser, interference, and diffraction, light intensity recording and suitable illumination of the recording.

Holography is a technique that enables a light field (which is generally the result of a light source scattered off objects) to be recorded and later reconstructed when the original light field is no longer present, due to the absence of the original objects.
Applications of holography include information storage, recording of images in depth, the use of holograms as optical elements, and as a means of performing precise interferometric measurements on three-dimensional objects of any shape and surface finish.
holography is a method of producing a visual three-dimensions (3-D) image of an object by means of light wave patterns recorded on a photographic plate

Neuro-symbolic is not enough, we need neuro-*semantic*Frank van Harmelen
Â
Neuro-symbolic (NeSy) AI is on the rise. However, simply machine learning on just any symbolic structure is not sufficient to really harvest the gains of NeSy. These will only be gained when the symbolic structures have an actual semantics. I give an operational definition of semantics as “predictable inference”.
All of this illustrated with link prediction over knowledge graphs, but the argument is general.

Search and Society: Reimagining Information Access for Radical FuturesBhaskar Mitra

The field of Information retrieval (IR) is currently undergoing a transformative shift, at least partly due to the emerging applications of generative AI to information access. In this talk, we will deliberate on the sociotechnical implications of generative AI for information access. We will argue that there is both a critical necessity and an exciting opportunity for the IR community to re-center our research agendas on societal needs while dismantling the artificial separation between the work on fairness, accountability, transparency, and ethics in IR and the rest of IR research. Instead of adopting a reactionary strategy of trying to mitigate potential social harms from emerging technologies, the community should aim to proactively set the research agenda for the kinds of systems we should build inspired by diverse explicitly stated sociotechnical imaginaries. The sociotechnical imaginaries that underpin the design and development of information access technologies needs to be explicitly articulated, and we need to develop theories of change in context of these diverse perspectives. Our guiding future imaginaries must be informed by other academic fields, such as democratic theory and critical theory, and should be co-developed with social science scholars, legal scholars, civil rights and social justice activists, and artists, among others.

"Impact of front-end architecture on development cost", Viktor TurskyiFwdays
Â
I have heard many times that architecture is not important for the front-end. Also, many times I have seen how developers implement features on the front-end just following the standard rules for a framework and think that this is enough to successfully launch the project, and then the project fails. How to prevent this and what approach to choose? I have launched dozens of complex projects and during the talk we will analyze which approaches have worked for me and which have not.

As AI technology is pushing into IT I was wondering myself, as an “infrastructure container kubernetes guy”, how get this fancy AI technology get managed from an infrastructure operational view? Is it possible to apply our lovely cloud native principals as well? What benefit’s both technologies could bring to each other?
Let me take this questions and provide you a short journey through existing deployment models and use cases for AI software. On practical examples, we discuss what cloud/on-premise strategy we may need for applying it to our own infrastructure to get it to work from an enterprise perspective. I want to give an overview about infrastructure requirements and technologies, what could be beneficial or limiting your AI use cases in an enterprise environment. An interactive Demo will give you some insides, what approaches I got already working for real.
3. INTRODUCTION TO HOLOGRAPHY
• Holography is composed of the Greek terms, "holos" for "whole view" and “gram”
for "writing or drawing“
• Technical term for holography is wave front reconstruction
• Image changes as the position and orientation of the viewing system changes
• Records phase of the object
• Record our three dimensional world on a two dimensional recording medium
4. • Can be seen using naked eyes
• Demonstrates complete parallax and depth-of-field
• Image floats in free space
• Can also be used to optically store, retrieve, and process
information
INTRODUCTION TO HOLOGRAPHY (cont)
5. • Dennis Gabor - discovered the basic technology
of holography in 1947
• Optical holography did not really advance until
the development of the laser in 1960
• First practical optical holograms that recorded
3D objects to be made in 1962
• Yuri Denisyuk from Soviet Union
• Emmett Leith and Juris Upatnicks from USA
• Advanced notably since the 1980s owing to low-cost
solid-state lasers
HISTORY OF HOLOGRAPHY
7. • TIMELINE OF HOLOGRAPHY
• Requires a laser as the light source
• Image is captured as interference
pattern
• Working of holography is divided
into two phases:
• Recording
• Reconstruction
WORKING OF HOLOGRAPHY
Produce monochromatic light
8. • Laser
• Usually helium-neon (HeNe) lasers are used
• Beam splitter
• Device that uses mirrors and prisms to split laser beam into
two beams
• Object beam
• Reference beam
• Mirrors
• Direct the beams of light to the correct locations
• Holographic film
• Can record light at a very high resolution
• Layer of light-sensitive compounds on a transparent surface
( Silver Halide Photographic Emulsion )
COMPONENTS REQUIRED
10. A Hologram is the result of interference occurring between two
waves,
an object beam which is the light scattered off the object & a
coherent background,
the reference beam, which is the light scattered off the object & a
coherent background, the reference beam ,
which is the light reaching the photographic plate directly.
11. Holography is a
two-step
process.
First step is the
recording of
hologram
where the
object is
transformed
into a
photographic
record.
The second
step is the
reconstruction
in which the
hologram is
transformed
into the image.
