A healthy diet consists of fruits and vegetables, whole grains, lean protein and low-fat dairy. Regular exercise including endurance, strength, balance and flexibility exercises is important for both physical and brain health. Mental stimulation through activities like learning new skills and social interaction can also help reduce risks of conditions like Alzheimer's disease. The key messages are that small lifestyle changes focused on nutrition, physical activity and brain health can significantly impact how well we age.
