Synergizing means working together in a group or team to complete an assignment or goal. When people synergize, they can help each other by sharing ideas, advice, and resources. There are different types of people who approach synergizing in different ways, such as plodders who stay focused on the task, followers who are encouraging, innovators who are creative, and show-offs who like to showcase their abilities. True synergizing values differences and brings out the best in each person's unique strengths and perspectives.

The 6th of the 7 Highly Effectively Habits, it deals primarily with "valuing & celebrating differences, as well as creative cooperation". Dr Steven .R Covey mentioned that there is a reason why the 7 Habits are sequenced in the way that he did. Every one of the Habit builds upon the previous one in a progressive manner. In his own words, "The relationship & the sequence among the Habits are the key to the overall power." It is most recommended that one learns all the 7 Habits in order. Our character is a composite of our habits. Changing habits is hard, but can be done by tremendous commitment. A (good) habit can be defined as the intersection of knowledge, skill and desire. Change is a cycle of being and seeing (visualization). Our objective is to move progressively on a maturity continuum from dependence to independence to interdependence. Although independence is the current paradigm of our society, we can accomplish much more by cooperation and specialization. However, we must achieve independence before we can choose interdependence. Habits 1, 2 and 3 (Be Proactive, Begin with The End in Mind, Put First Things First) deal with self mastery. They are the "private victories" required for character growth. Private victories precede public victories. Habits 4, 5 and 6 are the more personality-oriented "public victories" of Teamwork, Cooperation and Communication. Habit 7 is the habit of Renewal, creating an upward spiral of growth. Effectiveness lies in balancing our Production (P) with building Production Capacity (PC). Organizationally, the PC principle is to always treat your employees as you want them to treat your best customers. We must understand that the best contributions of our employees - their hearts and minds - are as volunteers, because they want to. This process of growth will be evolutionary, but the net effect will be revolutionary.

1.Importantly, prejudice is not prejudging. People can be prejudiced when knowing people from another group. Prejudice simply means hatred or dislike of an entire group of people. It is very important to understand this because often people who are prejudiced have a very hard time changing their mind and continue to have negative feelings even if they interact and get to know those in the group that they may dislike. Class, what do you think are some of the steps that we could take as a society to reduce prejudice/ Do you think that there are some people who may never change prejudicial attitudes? 2.Yes, definitely we are not prejudiced when we are born nor do we care common prejudices. I always found it really interesting when my kids were small, they noticed differences among people and would happily call them out, your hair looks different, your skin looks different, etc. But ,while they openly discussed differences they saw, those differences meant nothing to them--they had not been socialized to have certain expectations about certain groups (stereotypical thinking). In other words, hey you look like this I look like that but who cares. It often makes me stop and think because as adults we are often careful to not call out difference or pretend like we don't notice it. Interestingly, a lot of research on prejudice actually says that if we admit to seeing differences and think about how that might affect how we interact with others, we actually do the most in society to reduce it. Class, do you think that there is anyone in society who is completely free of prejudice or stereotypical thinking? Why might it be difficult to confront one's own biases? Do you think that this is an important step in improving inclusivity in our society? .

Estas diretrizes visam melhorar a qualidade dos cuidados pós-natais essenciais e de rotina prestados às mulheres e aos recém-nascidos, com o objetivo final de melhorar a saúde e o bem-estar materno e neonatal. Uma “experiência pós-natal positiva” é um resultado importante para todas as mulheres que dão à luz e para os seus recém-nascidos, estabelecendo as bases para a melhoria da saúde e do bem-estar a curto e longo prazo.
