This document discusses various methods of ground improvement including dry soil mixing, wet soil mixing, dynamic compaction, injection systems for expansive soils, vibro compaction, vibro piers, and vibro replacement. Dry soil mixing is the most common method and involves mechanically mixing weak soils like clays with dry cement to create soilcrete. Wet soil mixing similarly mixes soils with cement slurry and is best for soils with up to 60% moisture content. Vibro compaction, vibro piers, and vibro replacement all involve vibrating aggregates like stone into the ground to improve load-bearing capacity.
The presentation illustrates a technique for ground improvement, Grouting. In India, grouting is still not being used very much. In this presentation, I have demonstrated the basic types of grouting, goals of ground improvement and two case studies of grouting.
Rapid urban and industrial growth demands more land for further development, to meet this demand land reclamation and utilization of unsuitable and environmentally affected lands have been taken up and converted to useful ones by adopting one or more Ground Improvement Techniques
General presentation of under-reamed piles. Mainly for diploma engineers, it is really helpful as its objective, dimensions, usage, etc are shown with proper images. It will really helpful for the basic knowledge of under-reamed piles.
Vibro replacement stone columns are a ground improvement technique to improve the load bearing capacity and reduce the settlement of the soil. On many occasions, it is noted that the local soil is, by nature, unable to bear the proposed structure, so the use of ground improvement techniques may be necessary. Use of stone columns is one such technique. The stone column consists of crushed coarse aggregates of various sizes. The ratio in which the stones of different sizes will be mixed is decided by design criteria
Know the necessity of ground improvement
Understand the various ground improvement techniques available
Select design suitable ground improvement technique for existing soil conditions in the field

Ground Improvement by Vibro Stone ColumnsDesh Sonyok
Vibro replacement stone column is one of the widely used soil improvement technique to improve the settlement characteristics, bearing capacity and mitigate the liquefaction issues of the soft soil. In this paper, improvement of the settlement characteristics of the soft soil is considered for the analysis based on the available case histories. A settlement estimation method proposed by Preibe (1995) is verified quantitatively. Finally, an analytical solution for settlement of soft ground for the stone column design is proposed. The proposed method of calculating settlement is based on the basic concept of composite material and soil mechanics. However, the result of this preliminary work is yet to validate numerically and in the field. Detailed research in future is necessary to check its validity and applicability
GROUND WATER RECHARGE TECHNIQUES BY CH.APPARAO (Research Associate, ARS, ATP)Apparao Chodisetti
Ground water recharge is the process whereby the amount of water present in or flowing through the interstices of the sub-soil increases by natural or artificial means. Rainfall is the principal source for replenishment of recharge of ground water. Other sources include recharge from rivers, streams, irrigation water etc. An unconfined aquifer is recharged directly by local rainfall, rivers, and lakes, and the rate of recharge will be influenced by the permeability of overlying rocks and soils. A confined aquifer, on the other hand, is characterized by an overlying bed that is impermeable, and local rainfall does not influence the aquifer. It is normally recharged from lakes, rivers, and rainfall that may occur at distances ranging from a few kilometers to thousands of kilometers.
Presentation on Ready mix concrete production processPRATYUS KUMAR
Ready mix concrete is concrete that is manufactured in a factory or batching plant, according to a set recipe, and then delivered to a work site, by truck mounted in–transit mixers. This results in a precise mixture, allowing specialty concrete mixtures to be developed and implemented on construction sites.
Dewatering is a term to describe the removal of groundwater or surface water from for example a construction site. In construction the water is pumped from wells or sumps to temporarily lower the groundwater levels, to allow excavation in dry and stable conditions below natural groundwater level.

Cosmetic shop management system project report.pdfKamal Acharya
Buying new cosmetic products is difficult. It can even be scary for those who have sensitive skin and are prone to skin trouble. The information needed to alleviate this problem is on the back of each product, but it's thought to interpret those ingredient lists unless you have a background in chemistry.
Instead of buying and hoping for the best, we can use data science to help us predict which products may be good fits for us. It includes various function programs to do the above mentioned tasks.
Data file handling has been effectively used in the program.
The automated cosmetic shop management system should deal with the automation of general workflow and administration process of the shop. The main processes of the system focus on customer's request where the system is able to search the most appropriate products and deliver it to the customers. It should help the employees to quickly identify the list of cosmetic product that have reached the minimum quantity and also keep a track of expired date for each cosmetic product. It should help the employees to find the rack number in which the product is placed. It is also Faster and more efficient way.
Immunizing Image Classifiers Against Localized Adversary Attacksgerogepatton
This paper addresses the vulnerability of deep learning models, particularly convolutional neural networks
(CNN)s, to adversarial attacks and presents a proactive training technique designed to counter them. We
introduce a novel volumization algorithm, which transforms 2D images into 3D volumetric representations.
When combined with 3D convolution and deep curriculum learning optimization (CLO), itsignificantly improves
the immunity of models against localized universal attacks by up to 40%. We evaluate our proposed approach
using contemporary CNN architectures and the modified Canadian Institute for Advanced Research (CIFAR-10
and CIFAR-100) and ImageNet Large Scale Visual Recognition Challenge (ILSVRC12) datasets, showcasing
accuracy improvements over previous techniques. The results indicate that the combination of the volumetric
input and curriculum learning holds significant promise for mitigating adversarial attacks without necessitating
adversary training.

2. WHY GROUND IMPROVEMENT IS NECESSARY?
• Subsurface conditions can vary greatly within a single job site and the characteristics of the in situ soil
play a crucial role in determining which ground improvement technique or group of techniques is best
4. DRY SOIL MIXING
• This is the most common method used for ground improvement
• that improves the characteristics of soft, high moisture content clays, peats, and other weak soils, by
mechanically mixing them with dry cementitious binder to create soilcrete.
• The process is often used in high ground water conditions and has the advantage of producing
practically no spoil for disposal.
• Visual inspection is possible with a camera lowered into a corehole.
5.
6. WET SOIL MIXING
• Deep Mixing Method, is a ground improvement technique that improves the characteristics of weak
soils by mechanically mixing them with cementitious binder slurry
• Wet soil mixing is best suited for soils with moisture contents up to 60 percent.
• If the moisture content is greater than 60 percent, dry soil mixing may be more economical
• Wet sampling in fresh columns and coring of cured columns can be used to verify strength. Test
columns can be excavated for visual inspection of the soilcrete
13. • This method is been adopted in DUBAI for the constructions on palm island.
• Vibro compaction rigs can be fully instrumented with an on-board computer to monitor parameters
during vibro compaction. Monitoring these parameters allows the operator to correct any deviations in
real-time during the construction process to keep the vibro compaction within project specifications.
