Romeo And Juliets
widely known play, so there have been many different variations of it. Over the years people
have came up with many different ideas, and views of the play. Some companies have made
movies, and others plays. In the movie that took place in California they modernized it. Instead
of swords they used guns, but still called them swords. The (1996)Romeo and Juliet is a play
that was written by Shakespeare, in the 1500 s. It is a very ey had vehicles, skyscrapers, police
helicopters stuff like that. Juliet s mother was ruder to her in the modern one then the other two. Its
also the only one that shows him receiving the letter, although he does not read it of course. They
made the montagues out to be poor and the Capulets to be rich. He meets Juliet... Show more

The play starts out with a narrator. As the characters come out you notice they are all dressed
fancy, and the montagues are a different race then the capulets ( white and black). Romeo pulls
up on a motorcycle, to talk to Mercutio. They appear to be talking in the forest. They used the
dialect that was used in the original play, but dressed modern. The motorcycle is the only motor
vehicle in the play. Lady capulet is depicted as a woman with a temper and that doesn t take any
crap, in the others she is a pricy fancy woman. Lord capulet is depicted as a caring father
whereas in the other two he seems more abusive, to both lady capulet and Juliet. It seems to have
more scenes, where it shows Romeo and Juliet just talking on her balcony because she doesn t
really have a room in the play. The only seen where she has a room is when she drinks that
potion, and they think she is dead but it just shows her bed. When Romeo slays Tybalt with ease,
it show Juliet talking about it to the nurse, and the nurse comforting her. Tybalt has no trouble
killing Mercutio in the play, while Romeo has no trouble killing Tybalt. It shows Romeo
purchasing the poison, but its is just an empty bottle in both films they contained liquid. The man
Romeo purchased the poison from was reluctant, to sell it to him in the play. He said it didn t feel
right and that he could also get in trouble for it. When Romeo drinks the poison he dies before
Juliet wakes up. She kills herself shortly after with

Literature Review On Measles
2. Literature Review
Measles disease: Epidemiology
Measles is a very infectious viral disease caused by the measles virus, and it is most common in
children. Its main features include maculopapular rash, fever (more than 400 C), cough, coryza,
and conjunctivitis. The disease is highly contagious and airborne, spreading through droplets of the
secretions of the nose throat and mouth of an infected person. It develops in more than 90 percent
of susceptible 10 12 days after exposure to a measles virus (Caserta, 2014)). The World Health
Organization specifies that measles should be diagnosed in the Laboratories with the presence of
IgM antibodies specific for measles in the serum of a suspected case (WHO, 2016). An outbreak of

Onyiriuka (2011) in a study, reported that cases of the disease are responsible for 3.1 percent of the
inpatients in the in the Pediatric Department and that 47.8 percent are between the ages 13 to 24
months, 18.1 percent being under the age of 9 months. The report went further to state that 77.9
percent of the cases did not receive measles vaccine as against 22.9 that had the vaccinations. More
cases were reported in the dry season than in the wet season. The author observed the two leading
complications as a result of measles infection were bronchopneumonia (55.1%) and diarrhea with
dehydration (13.0%). A study by Etuk, et al. (2003) also corroborated the increasing number of
measles cases in tertiary health facilities. An infection of measles confers lifetime immunity in an
individual. Immunity against measles can also be acquired through immunization with measles
vaccine. According to World Health Organization (2012), interrupting transmission of the disease
requires achieving population immunity of at least 95% with measles

One Of The World s Biggest Fishing Collapse Summary
In the article One of the World s Biggest Fisheries Is on the Verge of Collapse , author Rachael
Bale talked about China s actions towards South China Sea are putting food supplies, homes, and
lives of millions and environment at risk. In the early years, fishermen could fish freely in the
South China Sea. As years go by, many of the them were prohibited to fishingin the South China sea
. They are now facing a situation whether if they can feed their family. The reason being that China
took a forceful action towards the control of the sea. That is to not allow foreigner to fishin the sea.
China set up Coast Guards near the region. These troops will attack those foreign fishermen if

China would set up defense toward illegal actions of the foreign fishermen. One of the fish man
said to the author, One minute you will see an airplane, then there is naval boat. If we keep
going over there, maybe we won t be able to go home to see our family. It is just not the
Philippine, but Vietnamese are forbidden to the sea as well (Bale 2016). The attacking of the
civilian is one of the main causes of the tension. To make the case worse, there is conflict when a
country tries to defense its own territory. The article mentioned, Indonesian maritime law
enforcement officials arrested eight Chinese on charges of illegal fishing. The fishermen were less
than three miles near the water from Indonesia s Natuna Island. Under international law, the land
belongs to Indonesian, but they are partially overlap with China s U shaped line claims. So, the
China says it has the right to fish there (Bale 2016). There is always conflict when international
law and country s law comes head to head, because no country is willing to give up their own
property. China refuse to participate in any solution which has stretched out the tension more. As
previously mentioned, the Philippines brought this case to the in Permanent Court of Arbitration
but China chose to continue to ignore the decision of the Court. United States is an ally of the
Philippines. There will be billions of deaths if a war between United States and China breaks

Nick Saban Research Paper
The University of Alabama s head football coach Nick Saban is hands down the best coach in
college football. He may not be the smartest coach or the greatest motivator, but one thing about
him that you cannot deny is his success. Since 2003, he has dominated college football unlike any
of his predecessors and contemporaries. He s the first to win a national championship with two
different Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) schools and has coached four national championship
teams. His teams dominate the best college football conference. Saban is more successful than his

How the Charcters in the Great Gatsby Viewed Jay Gatsby
TOM Tom thinks of Gatsby as a home wrecker and a criminal. He cannot see any of Gatby s
virtues, but rather focuses on and exaggerates his questionable behavior (pursuing Daisy and
bootlegging). Nick, on the other hand, sees both Gatsby s virtues and faults and presents them to
the reader from a neutral point of view. Who is Gatsby anyhow? demanded Tom suddenly. Some
big bootlegger? (PG 104) This quote reveals Tom s suspicions of Gatsby s wealth. Even though
Tom doesn t know that Gatsby is involved in organized crime when he says this, he doubts the fact
that he earned his wealth legitimately. Self Control! repeated Tom incredulously. I suppose the

Mr.Gatz s reasons to be proud of his son are proven to the reader. Mr.Gatz repeatedly states that
Gatsby was meant to be great. DAISY Daisy viewed Gatsby as a tool in which she could use to
get back at her cheating husband with, but without damaging her wealthy lifestyle. Nick,
however, saw Gatsby as a friend and didn t try to use him for his own personal gain. Daisy
would have gone along with the plan of leaving Tom and marrying Gatsby if she had never
found out that he was involved with organized crime. She realized that it might lower her social
status if people found out about Gatsby s proffesion as a bootlegger. They re such beautiful
shirts, she sobbed, her voice muffled in the thick folds. It makes me sad because I ve never seen
such such beautiful shirts before. (PG.89). For Daisy the shirts represent wealth. When Daisy
starts to cry into the shirts, she is displaying her interest in materialism. She doesn t cry because
she has been reunited with Gatsby, but rather because of the pure satisfaction all his pricey
possessions brings her. Daisy realizes that she can replace Tom with Gatsby, thereby keeping her
wealthy life and getting back at Tom for having an affair with Myrtle. You resemble the
advertisement of the man, she went on innocently. You know the advertisement of the man. (PG,

The Girl-Personal Narrative
It was May, two years ago. I walked into a room filled with girls, each accompanied by their mom
or dad. My mom, dressed in a nice sweater and black pants, pulled me up to a table with a woman
sitting in front of it. This woman looked in her 30 s and was wearing a light blue dress. She said
Please fill out this form and feel free to take a seat while you wait. My motherdragging me along,
walked to another table and sat down. I proceeded to sit next to her. It was obvious I was nervous.
My sister stood next to my chair telling me I was going to do fine. This was the first time I had
auditioned for The Fulton Theater.
I pulled out a folder from a plaid bag I was carrying. The folder had a picture of me on it and inside
there were more. Under ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
I knew no one in this vertical line, with the exception of one girl. That was my friend Ally. We
had worked together before and she waved to me from the back of the line. I waved back. The
woman started to walk up the stairs, so I followed. When we got to the end of the narrow
staircase there was a door. It was painted black, but some of the paint had chipped away leaving
tiny white spots. The woman opened the door and let the first girl in. I could hear her singing
through the walls. She sang super‐cali‐fragil‐istic‐expi‐ali‐docious for about a
minute and walked out of the room. I knew that I was next and started shaking harder than
before. I walked into the room and walked to a X on the floor. There were 3 people in the room. A
woman, wearing a floral dress, and two men, both bald and wearing t shirts.
They asked me my name and my age. I replied Sophie Reusswig and I am 13 years old. They wrote
on a mini notepad sitting in front of both of them. They told me to start, so I did. I sang with all
my heart and they didn t stop me, which I expected they would. When I finished they asked me if I

A Schenkerian Analysis of Preludio from Bach s Unaccompanied Violin Partita No. 3
A single creative genius lies behind all of Bach s music in all genres...his work exhibits a stylistic
uniformity that transcends the differences between all the genres in which he composed...In short,
Bach s music in all the genres sounds like it is by Bach. Joel Lester
Very few theorists touch upon the topic of motivic and structural coherence in Bach s dance suites.
The keyboard and lute suites deservedly have more published analyses than the string suites
considering there are simply more of them leaving the cello and violin suites pristine and practically
untouched, and unjustifiably so. The most obscure are the violin suites, particularly the ... Show

The de emphasis of the returning 3 as a passing tone from 4 to 2 lends importance to the
incomplete upper neighbor A, supported by IV. This self contained tonal area stretches over
half of the Preludio. A reprise of an opening passage at the initiation of the A prolongation
gestures its independence from its surrounding, indeed a smaller organism enveloped within the
larger animal. This is evident through the internal auxiliary cadence to A that accompanies the
tonal area IV. In retrospect, the IV is already a long term goal from the beginning. The first 58
measures properly set the stage for the emergence of IV. The first step on the path to IV is the
movement to VI as a short term goal. This is done by first moving to G# (m.39) through F#
(m.37), creating a third progression E F# G# in the process. The G# is employed first in the top
voice as primary tone and then in the bass as pedal point, also the fifth to the incoming C#
(m.51) [FIG 4. EX. 1]. The C#, in a sense, is a midway stopping point from E major on its way to
A major. A# in measure 53 leads to B, creating yet another third progression G# A# B. The B is
to be read not as V of E but as II of A, unfolding to tonic through two consecutive fifths B E A
[EX.2]. As we shall see, the contour of the bass forecasts what is to come; additionally this prelude
within the Preludio presents the material for further elaboration and development.
Now firmly in A, a memorable passage

Cost Production and Types of Cost
Generally, the term cost of production refers to the money expenses incurred in the production of a
commodity. But money expenses are not the only expenses incurred on the production of a
commodity. There are number of services and inputs such as entrepreneurship, land, capital etc.,
which are offered by an entrepreneur without changing any price or receiving any payment for
them. While computing the total costof production, allowance should be made for such expenses. It
is therefore essential to have clean understanding for the different types of cost:
Some example of the Types of Cost:
1.Actual (or, Acquisition or, Outlay) Costs: Actual costs are the costs which the firm incurs while
producing or acquiring a good or a service ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Sunk costs are irrelevant for decision making, as they do not vary with the changes contemplated
for future by the management. It is the incremental costs, which are important for decision making.
11.Out of pocket Costs: are those expenses, which are current cash payments to outsiders. All the
explicit costs like payment of rent, wages, salaries, interest, transport charges, etc., fall in the
category of out of pocket costs.
12.Book Costs : are those business costs which do not involve any cash payments but for them a
provision is made in the books of account to include them in profit and loss accounts and take tax
advantages, like the provisions for depreciation and for unpaid amount of the interest on the owner
s capital employed in the firm. In a way book costs are the imputed costs or the payments by a firm
to itself
13.Accounting Costs : are the actual or outlay costs. These costs point out how much expenditure
has already been incurred on a particular process or on production as such. Since these costs relate
to the past, these are generally sunk costs. The accounting costs are useful for managing taxation
needs as well as to calculate profit or loss of the firm.

What Is Sexism
Sexism is a form of discrimination that harms both males and females. Sexism is not only
practiced in culture but it is reinforced in schools through hidden curriculum. In order for the this
issue to be eradicated you need to make people aware that gender discrimination still exist in
todays society. This essay will discuss the issue of sexism. Sexism is a human rights concern as it
violates rights of women by not being treated equally and violates the right to freedom of
expression for men. Gender rolestereotypes are socially constructed by society following the view
of functionalism, conflict theory and symbolic interaction. There are two types of sexism
benevolent sexism and hostile sexism that affects both genders. Sexism impacts negatively on
education in regards to girls, causing girls to feel uncomfortable, unwelcomed and scared and
leads to them dropping out of school. Examples provided discusses some peoples experiences of

not have to answer anybody about what he is doing or where is going. On the other hand I had
to wake up early clean up after my brother make breakfast for him and I, do housework and I was
not allowed to go anyway at night and had to ask for permission before making any decision. I did
everything unquestionably without complain because this is what a girls duty is according to
society. The other reason was because I feared the consequences and appreciated what I

Case Study Of Steven M. Labrie s Vacation For Attorneys
RESPONDENT TEAMSTERS LOCAL 251 OBJECTION TO PETITION FOR ATTORNEYS
FEES This matter is before the Court on a Petition Steven M. Labrie for attorney s fees
associated with his appeal from a decision from the Department of Labor and Training [ DLT ].
For the reasons set forth below, Labrie is not entitled to attorney s fees for services rendered on
appeal. Alternatively, in the event that attorney s fees are allowable, they are within the
jurisdiction of the Director of the Department of Labor and Training rather than the Superior
Court. 1.On October 1, 2015, the DLT determined that Labrie was entitled to vacation pay for
2013, but not for vacation pay for 2008 through 2012. Labrie appealed pursuant to G.L. В§42 35
15, the Administrative Procedures Act. 2.On January 12, 2017, this Court reversed pertinent
portions of the DLT decision. 3.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Labrie s reliance on G.L. В§28 14 19(c) for an award of further attorney s fees is without merit.
That section specifically provides that the DLT director may direct payment of reasonable
attorney s fees and costs to the complaining party. Thus, an award of attorney s fees is
discretionary within the jurisdiction of the DLT, rather than this court. 4.The Administrative
Procedures Act, G.L. В§42 35 15, on which Labrie relied on in connection with his appeal,
contains no provision for an award of attorney s fees to a prevailing party. In addition, Rhode
Island follows the American rule which bars an award of attorney s fees in the absence of statutory
authority. As the Supreme court noted in Blue Cross Blue Shield of Rhode Island v. Najarian,
attorney s fees may not be appropriately awarded to the prevailing party absent contractual or
statutory authorization. 911 A.2nd 706, 710

Negative Effects Of Child Labour
Child Labour is a plague to society and the future of humanity if this continues. Child Labour
negatively impacts the future in various ways. The first being that it increases the rate of poverty
because children do not get paid significantly less, adults lose their jobs to children and the children
because children are easier to manipulate do not get the knowledge they need to attain better
lifestyles. The second reason it regresses the growth of society by having child labourers grow up
without the knowledge they need, Their ignorance of their rights and the growth of their families.
Finally, child labour negatively impacts society because of the effects on children themselves.

So they make the children think that what they are getting paid is significant and make them do
very dangerous task that could kill them, if they ever try to refuse the employer would just threaten
them or harass them in the end helping line the pockets for the employer and increasing poverty.
Ultimately, adults lose jobs because of child labour. Children, as stated in the Ethical Trading
Initiative are cheaper to pay... [and] less likely to complain than adults ( A Global, n.d.). This
states that children are less likely to question what they are doing for whatever money they can
get and although there are child labour rights they are not strict enough for employers to care.
Whereas adults have way more rights, can and will most likely try to fight against unfair working
conditions and need to be paid more leading most employers to lay off more adult workers in
favour of child labourers which in return reduce the amount of income for already poor families. In
conclusion, child labour increase the amount of poverty in society by having children get paid less,
children unable to fight back and the decrease of adult employment.
Secondly, Child labour helps regress society and stops it from growing by having Child labourers
teach what they know to the next

Alexander IIi Of Macedonia Truly Worthy Of The Title Essay
Was Alexander III of Macedonia really worthy of the title Great or was he just a megalomaniac
conditioned into this belief by his followers? Well, if you consider his military legacy which is
almost as large as the swath of territory he conquered spanning from modern day Greece to
northern India, or the fact that his over 2,000 year old combat tactics are still being taught at
military academies the world over, I don t believe the word great would be too far from
imagination. When Alexander rose to power following the death of his father, Phillip II, his
kingdom of Macedonia encompassed all of the land that we know as modern Greece. For
Alexander this was not enough. Phillip II is believed to have prophesized s his son s ambitions
with the words, My son you must find a kingdom big enough for your ambition. Macedon is too
small for you. after Alexander tamed his wild buck Bucephalas at age 10. Born around July
20th, 356 BC to King Phillip II and one of his favorite wives, Olympias, Alexander was believed
to be destined for greatness from the start. Many tall tales about his birth origin circulated
throughout and after his life including his personal claim of descent from Achilles and Zeus. After
enjoying a leisurely life as the child of a noble family, he began his tutelage under Aristotle at the
age of 13. His father, Phillip II was frequently absent from Macedonia on long conquest campaigns
that eventually unified most of the Greek cities under his rule. In his

Key Features Of Image Enhancement
A.Image enhancement Image enhancement is the process of adjusting digital images so that
the results are more suitable for display or further image analysis. For example, you can remove
noise, sharpen, or brighten an image, making it easier to identify key features. Image
enhancement mainly includes some process: A.1 Convert a Colored Image into Gray Image
Every digital image mainly comprises of three components or it is made up of three colors that
is RGB (Red Green and Blue) and each image is represented in a 3 dimensional which is very
difficult to analysis and process. Therefore to overcome some difficulty initially each image is first
converted into a gray image which is made up of white and black components of varying intensity.

So on, it moves until the end of a column and calculate the total sum of differences between
adjacent pixels. At the end, an array containing the column wise sum is created. The same
process is carried out to find the vertical array. In this case, rows are processed instead of
columns. A.4 Filtering out Unwanted Regions in an Image Once the arrays are passed through
a low pass digital filter, a filter is applied so that to remove undesirable areas from an image
which includes the horizontal and vertical components of array with low values. Generally low
value indicates the plain areas with characters it is due to the fact that intensity of each
neighboring pixel of plain areas contains a similar intensity or pixel values such that during
horizontal and vertical processing the difference between them is negligible but in case of edges
and specially numeric characters the difference between adjacent pixel is high due to variation of
intensity, which results into a high array value for such part of an image. Therefore, the required
area of region of interest with probable number has a high values while areas with small value are
undesirable and such regions are filtered out by applying a certain threshold. In this algorithm, the
threshold is equal to the average value of an array. Both row and column vectors are passed through
a filter with this threshold, so that the final output

Research Paper On Software Modeling
This research paper will be focus on different software modeling techniques. Software modeling is
concerned with development process of software. Software modeling is central part of almost all
activities that took place in software development. These models help us to envision a system
according to our requirement by describing the structure and behavior of the system. There are
three basic techniques of software modeling; object oriented modeling, dynamic modeling and
functional modeling. Object oriented modeling concept start in 1990s, its basic building block is
object that is the instant of any class, and here class is a template containing attributes and methods
of objects. Classes and their relationships are present in class diagram. As a class have many type
of relations with other class within a class diagram. These relationships are about inheritance and

The Use Of Radiation And Its Effects On Living Organisms
Research Assignment
Contemporary Physics
Michael A. Torch
Dr. David R. Simpson
Health Physicist
Radiation has been present since the birth of the universe. Upon its discovery in the early 19th
century, humans have used radiation for its beneficial purposes that date back decades. However,
when used precariously or in large quantities, radiation can be dangerous. It can cause detrimental
effects to living organisms. Medical facilities, nuclear power plants, research laboratories and
academic industries all need professionals who understand radiation hazards, as well as their
prevention and control [1]. The health physicist prevents its workers, the public, and the
environment from potential hazards of radiation. They also ensure its safe use. This control
demands knowledge and understanding in various disciplines that range from physics, biology,
engineering, chemistry, genetics, ecology, environmental sciences, medicineand physiology, to
biophysics [1]. This well rounded and extensively required expertise makes the job of the health
physicist both challenging and rewarding.
Health physicists work in a variety of disciplines that include research, industry, education,
environmental protection, and government regulation enforcement. While the health physicist
usually concentrates in one of these areas, a professional health physicist typically performs duties
across several fields [1].
Radiation is detected from use across a variety of instrumentation. One in

Kops Argument Against Racial Profiling
Racial Profiling has been in the practice of Law Enforcement since the 1940 s. The use of Racial
Profiling should be eradicated because of the effect it has in the court system, discrimination,
excessive brutality, and the change in lifestyle. Racial Profiling is an unnecessary practice, there are
alternatives to the practice.
Racial profiling is when a police officer uses an individual s race for foundation to question he/she
with the expectation of he/she committing a crime. Copious amounts of minority races are prone to
this practice that such law enforcement use, such as African Americans, Latinos, and Middle
Eastern Americans. Levels of racial profiling are exercised by certain law enforcers. Consequently,

only difference is Brock Turner whom is a privileged Caucasian received a lower sentence than
Cory Batey. Cory Batey is an African American male who received a fifteen year sentence for
committing aggravating rape. Both Brock and Cory were attending prestigious colleges
Stanford and Vanderbilt, and were nineteen years of age. Brock was an exceptional Stanford
swimmer who was sentenced six months jail time and was able to get out earlier with good
behavior. Cory Batey was a remarkable football player who was on a scholarship. In the Brock
Turner there was a substantial amount of evidence including eyewitnesses catching him in the
act of raping an unconscious woman behind a dumpster. However, in the Cory Batey there was
ample evidence as well as security cameras that exposes Batey and others carrying an
unconscious woman into a dorm room. In addition, in the Batey incident the evidence involves
photos and videos of the uncalled for act. Consequently, Corey and Brock received different
sentences for the same crime. Corey Batey an African American man is spending most of his
premier life locked up whereas Brock Turner received a slap on the wrist for his crimes. Aaron
Persky who was the judge for the Brock Turner case was very similar to Brock Turner for the
reason that he as well was an impressive Caucasian athlete at Stanford.

Arias Al Desio Di Chi T Adora
The arias Al desio di chi t adora from Mozart s revised le Nozze di Figaro sung by the character
Susanna, and Come scoglio from Mozart s cosi fan tutte sung by the character Fiordiligi were
both sung by Adriana Ferrarese Del Bene at their premieres. Mozart wanted all arias he wrote for
singers to fit them like a well made garment (?) so wrote them to fit their vocal abilities and
strengths. In this essay I will be looking at the vocal abilities of Adriana and how Mozart used
them in these arias to identify similar characteristics between the two arias, proving what her
strengths were by being highlighted in more than one aria. First I will discuss Adriana s
background, where she came from and what her musical career was like before Mozart wrote
these arias for her. Next we will look at Mozart s involvement with her and what his opinion of
her was. Next I will look at each aria individually and identify characteristics that are similar in
each aria to show that these certain features were written to show off specifically Adriana s
strengths as a singer. And last I will compare the two arias to show that there are similarities in the
two which highlight Adriana s... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

The Issue Of Animal Rights Essay
Animals have the right to equal consideration in regards to their being used for human needs as
most people use animals for their own needs on a daily basis even if only indirectly whether to
entertain us, or to attain the product we are using, or on our dinner plate. The controversy of the
treatment of animals range from some activists and philosophers that are outspoken against
animals being used by humans in any way for our own personal needs, while others are candid in
their belief that animals are here solely for meeting our needs and have no rights at all. Although
everyone is able to tailor their actions to fit their moral, ethical and individual beliefs, and many
different categories of unique diets have come about from the freedom of defining personal
standards it is a controversial topic. With vegetarian and vegan diets , becoming more and more
common deciding what is morally justifiable in respects to the treatment of animals is an essential
issue for everyone. The dispute of animal rightsis essentially focused on what rights animals
deserve to have and how they should be treated in regards to being experimented on, for humans
entertainment, and their being used as livestock. A controversial issue in the debate of animal
rights is the health of the people that do not consume animals or animal products and those that do.

From the early 1800 s up until 1931 Vietnam was controlled by France, Frances rule was then
ended as they were forced to pull out of Vietnam due to the start of WW2, France left a puppet
ruler named Emperor Bao Dai. This left Vietnam vulnerable to invasion which was an opportunity
Japan could not refuse and took advantage of Vietnams situation by invading. This sparked the
return of a well known Vietnamese communist, Ho Chi Minh who was an exile during Frances

held every 2 years to determine who would run the country. But America failed to agree and
refused to sign as it believed it was to the benefit of communism. Ngo Dinh Diem was the southern
Vietnamese Prime minister, he and his government were supported by the Americans despite being
extremely corrupt. Diem helped rule the South of Vietnam with the Emperor Bao Dai, until he
removed the Emperor and replaced him with himself. He then further abused his position and
appointed his family and friends with the most beneficial positions. He then introduced new laws

The Ice Storm Book Vs. Movie C Essay
There are many ways to tell a story. Back before there were books there as the actual storyteller
who could speak out a story. There is also acting where people physically perform a story. Books
are another storytelling device that is more permanent, the words are kept and they can be
reviewed again and again. Now there are movies, which provide story telling with more an
emphasis on visual effects. The question is which way is the best to present a certain type of
story. The Ice Storm by Rick Moody was in such a position that one could actually look at both

I see few books that use the word orgasm ; or bestiality ; at all. It s not typical book lingo.
Though the vocabulary emphasizes the sexual nature of the book. The movie on the other hand
probably wouldn t make a lot of money going with the erotic taboo nature of the book. Instead it
focuses more around the ideas of family neglect and the hypocrisy of the parents doing what
they don t want their kids to do. The story is more like an MTV clip of the real world than the
book plot. Though that s what makes the movie so great. The people seem so real, like everyday
people. The relation is even stronger because I live in an affluent community. The two different
focuses put a different tint into the same story. nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; For instance there

this is significant because the next page they show what Wendy is thinking and how she doesn t
even know what she is talking about. She didn t know much about them anyway. Orgasm was a

The Horse Fair And Great Blue Horses, By Rosa Bonheur
The Horse Fair and Great Blue Horses
In this paper I will compare and contrast two paintings, one from French artist Rosa Bonheur and
another from German painter Franz Marc. Marc was an expressionist artist who was a pioneer in
the birth of abstract art at the beginning of the twentieth century. (Pioch, 2002) Bonheur was a
Realist artist who made a great impact on the painting style of realism during the ninetieth century.
Bonheur was about embracing reality and nature, while Marc was about evoking moods through the
subject matters and colors choices in his paintings. These two artist styles are particularly different
from one another, but yet they still have similarities throughout their paintings. This paper will
highlight the similarities and differences between these two artists, making the theme reality verses
perception .
The first painting that I have chosen is The Horse Fair by French artist Rosa Bonheur. This painting
is considered to be Bonheur s best known painting . (The Metropolitan Museum of Art., 2015)

Analysis Of Sci Fi Tv Pilot
This proposed sci fi TV pilot has a compelling and curious premise. The idea of future characters
traveling back to the present and meeting their doppelgangers is intriguing. It s a great hook. The
pilot features interesting characters that the audience easily comes to care about. There s a solid,
female protagonist, Layna that leads the ensemble cast, along with FutureBen. Both make for
intriguing characters.
The pilot is divided into a teaser, several acts, and a tag. The pace works well and the plot remains
on task and focused. The scenes feel essential. The opening sets the tone when Future Ben, a back
traveler, falls from thin air. It s a great way to open the pilot. It immediately captures everyone s
attention.
The only concern about the opening is the idea of the marriage proposal. This almost gives the
opening a different tone (comedy). It s a creative choice. Just showing people in the restaurant
eating, while the waiters work, and then showing Ben fall from thin air would work just as well.
As the pilot progresses, the mystery intensifies. There s a solid A story regarding the travelers and
there are several good subplots that support the main storyline. The murder story creates good
mystery. The story with Margaret is emotionally engaging with a powerful twist regarding her
mother.
While the concept is engaging, there s room to build upon these strengths. The main concern about
the pilot s presentation is that the main goal for the series is too

Dallas Willard wrote in the foreword of this book, James Wilhoit has written a book of special

Wilhoit, while teaching and having dialogue with his students pertaining to their spirituality
formative influences which lead to conducting interviews with a number of church leaders, he
realized, through these stories and interviews there has been a sea of change in our formational
structures and their effects will take a generation to fully manifest themselves.(13) This establishes
the basis for writing this book, to make a call to intentionality about our formation and to
repentance about how we have tried to engineer formation more than we have prayerfully opened
our lives and our churches to God s grace(14) . The book consist of ten chapters, which can be
broken down into two parts the establishment of the foundational structure of spiritual formation,
chapters 1 2, and the four pillars that support spiritual formation, in which he calls the four R s
Receiving, Remembering, Responding and Relating, chapters 3 10. Wilhoit then further breaks
these four pillars into two parts. Part A describes and explains the foundation of the R ; Part B
then expounds on how to foster the pillar into the life of the individual and the church. He then
moves on to the next pillar. Throughout the book the reader will find 12, what Wilhoit call,

Television Is The Middle Of The Road, And Abc
I don t get much of an opportunity to watch the national news on the television (and never on
cable); but when I do, it s fairly easy to pick out which political slant each network is depicting. It
appears to me, and this is my opinion, that ABC, NBC and CNN lean pretty far left, CBS is
more the middle of the road, and FOX and its affiliates lean (fall over) to the right. I would guess
that, based upon my readings of other people s opinions of those broadcasters, that that is the
general consensus of the public. That being said, I do read more than I watch TV, and
sometimes it is just painfully obvious which way a particular news website or newspaper slants
their reporting. For example, I think one of the better newspapers as far as equal coverage of
both the left and right is USA Today. They do an excellent job of presenting both sides of most
arguments, and offer opinions that really make me angry sometimes, and some that I couldn t
agree with more. I think that s the definition of balance in the media, and I enjoy it the most.
There are others, however, that I read that pander to a specific political group; for example, the
Kansas City Star. It never fails that the KC Star virtually attacks the right wing of the Republican
party. They seem, to me, to be so impartial, that it takes away a great amount of their credibility;

Social Roles By Imaginary Play
When a child is asked what do they want to be when they grow up, they often respond with a
firefighter, princess, ninja, or teacher. Kids explore and learn these social roles by imaginary play
in classrooms, playrooms and in the home. No matter what make believe land this play is taking
place, children are learninghow to problem solve, cooperate with others, and think flexibly. The
skills it takes to turn a pillow fort into a castle is extraordinary! When children are encouraged,
rather than repressed, to use their imaginations while playing gives them opportunities to learn
about themselves and the world, work out how to handle new situations, develop a higher order of
thinking skills, and implement knowledge learned. In imaginary play, this is one of the first
opportunities children have to explore what they like or dislike about interests or abilities.
Experimenting with the role playing and making sense out of what is being learned in daily life
is expressed in imaginary play. When children play with dolls, they often envision themselves as
the doll which allows adults to see what they are directly observing and obtaining. New situations
that might be considered scary like getting shots at a doctor s office imaginary play is used to
desensitize the situation. By engaging in make believe play, it allows them to prepare and get
comfortable with what is going on. Using imaginary play is highly beneficial for the emotional
development of children. Pretend play

You can easily hurt a client or worsen an existing condition by using inappropriate exercising
techniques and approaches. Once I ve seen a trainer who made his new client with swayback

The society of Sumer, as said in a document was home to a privileged class of elites who headed

Depictions of Saint Sebastian in Visual Art and Music Essay
Depictions of Saint Sebastian in Visual Art and Music
Zeitgeist, a German term often attributed to philosopher Georg Hegel (1770 1831), literally means
the spirit of the time. Zeitgeist is founded upon the understanding that a dominant school of thought
be it political, social, philosophical, or other influences the culture of a specific period in time and
that the art and thinking of that period influence one another. Zeitgeist presumes that culture and art
are therefore faithfully united, since an artist is the product of his or her time.
This semester, in comparing works of visual art and opera and particularly between works of the
same time period, many parallels emerge. But beyond the scope of individual time periods (e.g., ...

There is something very human and clearly very comfortable in these figures, which artists and
society throughout the centuries deeply cherish. Whatever that might be, the medium of art itself
has been strong enough to carry through history these most famous figures of the human race and
make them present and relevant to individuals from vastly diverse times.
Saint Sebastian was an early Christian saint and martyr, which is somebody who is killed for his
or her faith. The Catholic Church acknowledges a great number of martyrs and individuals it
deems representative of a Christ inspired life and marks them by sainthood. Sebastian was said to
have been killed during Roman emperor Diocletian s great persecution of Christians.
Diocletian (Gaius Aurelius Valerius Diocletianus Augustus) was Roman emperor from 284 to
305. He was deeply loathed and regarded as the embodiment of irrational ferocity by Henry
Chadwick, a prominent British theologian and historian who died in 2008. It was during
Diocletian s bloodbath Great Persecution of Christians that there were alleged to have been as
many as 17000 martyrs within a single 30 day period, which begat the expression Era of the
Martyrs, or more commonly, the Diocletian Era. Historians looking back and researching Diocletian
have determined that perhaps some of the stories of Christian martyrdom from the Diocletian era
had been exaggerated or embellished

The Birdcage Metaphor
The birdcage metaphor is explaining that looking at each obstacle in the fight for women s rights

assault, or societal expectations individually they are something that you can find an easy solution
to but if you look at them as a whole, it is easy to be overwhelmed by the sheer amount of issues
the feminist movement faces. Frye uses this also to explain the hestitance in the women in the past
and their fight for equal rights and how the haunting figuring out which steel bar to approach first.

Williams Cohesion
Williams Style: Cohesion and Coherence Concision In this week s lesson, Williams proposes to
give us a complete overall of writing mechanics. Today conducting business in any fast paced
environment requires precise conversations with limited encounters; therefore, one must
articulate clear thoughts across all levels. Williams asserts that every sentence must connect,
and good writers must discern how that process occurs. (65) Williams feels that a passage that
hangs together will captivate readers. (65) Every writer desires his reader to reach that
experience of flow when he or she sits down to indulge in a book. (66) When a writer
accomplishes that small flight, he personifies the epitome of good journalism. But a writer
acknowledges that reaching the natural flow of words takes a systematic approach. (122)
Williams focuses on the big three C s: Cohesion and Coherence, and Concision in chapters five
and nine. The big three C s connect all the dots to a natural flow of reading.... Show more content on

Let s start with cohesion, Williams states that cohesion allows sentences to flow easily from one
to the other. (65) In essence, cohesion fits all the pieces together like a child would put together
the exact pieces for a set of Legos. Williams states that coherence tells us how sentences in a
passage cumulatively begin. (65) In other words, coherence involves seeing how all of the
pieces in a Lego set evolve into this marvelous creation. Lastly, we arrive at concision, which
Williams describes as the minimal words to say what you mean. (123) Concision involves looking
at all the pieces of a Lego set with a process of elimination. Any writer who adapts the following

As the characters come out you notice they are all dressed fancy, and the montagues are a different race then the capulets ( white and black). Romeo pulls up on a motorcycle, to talk to Mercutio. They appear to be talking in the forest. They used the dialect that was used in the original play, but dressed modern. The motorcycle is the only motor vehicle in the play. Lady capulet is depicted as a woman with a temper and that doesn t take any crap, in the others she is a pricy fancy woman. Lord capulet is depicted as a caring father whereas in the other two he seems more abusive, to both lady capulet and Juliet. It seems to have more scenes, where it shows Romeo and Juliet just talking on her balcony because she doesn t really have a room in the play. The only seen where she has a room is when she drinks that potion, and they think she is dead but it just shows her bed. When Romeo slays Tybalt with ease, it show Juliet talking about it to the nurse, and the nurse comforting her. Tybalt has no trouble killing Mercutio in the play, while Romeo has no trouble killing Tybalt. It shows Romeo purchasing the poison, but its is just an empty bottle in both films they contained liquid. The man Romeo purchased the poison from was reluctant, to sell it to him in the play. He said it didn t feel right and that he could also get in trouble for it. When Romeo drinks the poison he dies before Juliet wakes up. She kills herself shortly after with ... The de emphasis of the returning 3 as a passing tone from 4 to 2 lends importance to the incomplete upper neighbor A, supported by IV. This self contained tonal area stretches over half of the Preludio. A reprise of an opening passage at the initiation of the A prolongation gestures its independence from its surrounding, indeed a smaller organism enveloped within the larger animal. This is evident through the internal auxiliary cadence to A that accompanies the tonal area IV. In retrospect, the IV is already a long term goal from the beginning. The first 58 measures properly set the stage for the emergence of IV. The first step on the path to IV is the movement to VI as a short term goal. This is done by first moving to G# (m.39) through F# (m.37), creating a third progression E F# G# in the process. The G# is employed first in the top voice as primary tone and then in the bass as pedal point, also the fifth to the incoming C# (m.51) [FIG 4. EX. 1]. The C#, in a sense, is a midway stopping point from E major on its way to A major. A# in measure 53 leads to B, creating yet another third progression G# A# B. The B is to be read not as V of E but as II of A, unfolding to tonic through two consecutive fifths B E A [EX.2]. As we shall see, the contour of the bass forecasts what is to come; additionally this prelude within the Preludio presents the material for further elaboration and development. For the reasons set forth below, Labrie is not entitled to attorney s fees for services rendered on appeal. Alternatively, in the event that attorney s fees are allowable, they are within the jurisdiction of the Director of the Department of Labor and Training rather than the Superior Court. 1.On October 1, 2015, the DLT determined that Labrie was entitled to vacation pay for 2013, but not for vacation pay for 2008 through 2012. Therefore to overcome some difficulty initially each image is first converted into a gray image which is made up of white and black components of varying intensity. ... At the end, an array containing the column wise sum is created. The same process is carried out to find the vertical array. In this case, rows are processed instead of columns. A.4 Filtering out Unwanted Regions in an Image Once the arrays are passed through a low pass digital filter, a filter is applied so that to remove undesirable areas from an image which includes the horizontal and vertical components of array with low values. Generally low value indicates the plain areas with characters it is due to the fact that intensity of each neighboring pixel of plain areas contains a similar intensity or pixel values such that during horizontal and vertical processing the difference between them is negligible but in case of edges and specially numeric characters the difference between adjacent pixel is high due to variation of intensity, which results into a high array value for such part of an image. Therefore, the required area of region of interest with probable number has a high values while areas with small value are undesirable and such regions are filtered out by applying a certain threshold. In this algorithm, the threshold is equal to the average value of an array. Both row and column vectors are passed through a filter with this threshold, so that the final output ... Software modeling is central part of almost all activities that took place in software development. These models help us to envision a system according to our requirement by describing the structure and behavior of the system. There are three basic techniques of software modeling; object oriented modeling, dynamic modeling and functional modeling. Object oriented modeling concept start in 1990s, its basic building block is object that is the instant of any class, and here class is a template containing attributes and methods of objects. Classes and their relationships are present in class diagram. As a class have many type of relations with other class within a class diagram. • 21. The Use Of Radiation And Its Effects On Living Organisms Research Assignment Contemporary Physics Michael A. Torch Dr. David R. Simpson Health Physicist Radiation has been present since the birth of the universe. Upon its discovery in the early 19th century, humans have used radiation for its beneficial purposes that date back decades. However, when used precariously or in large quantities, radiation can be dangerous. It can cause detrimental effects to living organisms. Medical facilities, nuclear power plants, research laboratories and academic industries all need professionals who understand radiation hazards, as well as their prevention and control [1]. The health physicist prevents its workers, the public, and the environment from potential hazards of radiation. They also ensure its safe use. This control demands knowledge and understanding in various disciplines that range from physics, biology, engineering, chemistry, genetics, ecology, environmental sciences, medicineand physiology, to biophysics [1]. This well rounded and extensively required expertise makes the job of the health physicist both challenging and rewarding. Health physicists work in a variety of disciplines that include research, industry, education, environmental protection, and government regulation enforcement. While the health physicist usually concentrates in one of these areas, a professional health physicist typically performs duties across several fields [1]. Radiation is detected from use across a variety of instrumentation. One in ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

I would guess that, based upon my readings of other people s opinions of those broadcasters, that that is the general consensus of the public. Depictions of Saint Sebastian in Visual Art and Music Essay Depictions of Saint Sebastian in Visual Art and Music Zeitgeist, a German term often attributed to philosopher Georg Hegel (1770 1831), literally means the spirit of the time. Zeitgeist is founded upon the understanding that a dominant school of thought be it political, social, philosophical, or other influences the culture of a specific period in time and that the art and thinking of that period influence one another. Zeitgeist presumes that culture and art are therefore faithfully united, since an artist is the product of his or her time.
