The Effect of Make me Proud! Singapore 2010 Youth Olympic...
This report aims to critically analyse the methodological, theoretical and philosophical issues
surrounding the study conducted by Ho Keat Leng, Tzu Yin Kuo, Grain Baysa Pee and Josephine Tay
(2012); Make me proud! Singapore 2010 Youth Olympic Games and its effect on National pride of
young Singaporeans, An assessment to determine whether there is any changes in the level of national
pride in the hosting of the Youth Olympic Games which was held in 2010 in Singapore (hereafter
referred to as the Paper ).
Title
According to Gratton and Jones (2004) the title of the research is an important part of the research
process; because once a focused research question is developed than the rest of the research method is
based on answering that question. The paper clearly sought out to answer the key areas mentioned in
its title. In the results section of the Paper discussed all the aspects in relative detail however more
stress was given to national pride of young Singaporeans as these were discussed further. With sport
and expression being arguably an essential part of this research (Jaksa, 2011; Morgan , 1997), it
should have been discussed further.
Literature Review
According to Morgan (1997) the national identity can be defined by simply as how a country think
about them in reality. The literature review of the Paper gives the reader an idea of the peoples
national identity as the sense of belonging to, and identification with, the nation; it is an incarnation of

Sean Mannion Case Study
The last time a football team played in Los Angeles was in 1994 and that was with the Los Angeles
Rams and Los Angeles Raiders. Both teams left after the 1994 season. The Raiders returned back to
Oakland and the Rams relocated to St. Louis. Fortunately for football fans in Los Angeles, the Rams
returned back to LA this year. They played their first preseason game in LA on Saturday and beat the
Dallas Cowboys by 4 points in a 28 24 comeback finish. The Rams played mediocrely, but finished
strong especially with surprisingly good QB, Sean Mannion who wasn t even expected to get a role in
the QB position this year. Sean Mannion went 18/25 for 147 yards and 3 TD with 1 INT. Case
Keenum, the presumptive regular season starter did go 6/7 for 58 yards and no TD or INT and a RTG
of 101.2. Case Keenum played well for the time he was in, but only got 7 attempts in, so it is hard to
say what his true value is at this point. Unfortunately, 2016 overall first round pick, Jared Goff played
a somewhat lackluster game and left with a minor shoulder injury. Goff went 4/9 for 38 ... Show more

Todd Gurley and Tavon Austin with most likely shine this year. The only questionable position

Geothermal Well Case Study
A geothermal well was built beneath the Park Stradley, Seibert, and Smith Steeb dorms on south
campus of The Ohio State University. The project was put on by the Office of Student Life as part of
their South High Rise Project which took place before the 2012 school year. The geothermal system
was designed to sustain several hundred refrigeration tons of heat from the ground and is currently not
being used to capacity to heat the previously stated droms on south campus. Due to a surplus in the
system, Student Life would like to know if running piping to the Union and/or Drinko Hall would
have a reasonable return on investment. Objective The objective is to determine if the addition of
heating water pipes to the Union and/or Drinko Hall ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The average usage assumption is based on the same number of people using the buildings. It could
increase if more people used the buildings, or decrease if they are used less. Taking people into
account by looking at expected incoming class size could give an alternate assumption. Other
economic factors that could increase costs on the project is inflation, maintenance cost, and a longer
than expected life of project, all of which would make the project have a lower return on investment.
All of these assumptions, if changed, can change the predicted MARR, and should be considered
when making the final calculations. Non Economic/ Financial Factors currently editing After
analyzing the economic factors, some non economic factors should also be considered in this
observation of the geothermal well. Installation of the piping could affect the movement of traffic
along the roads in that area and cause traffic jams. During the construction, some campus roads would
need to be closed and vehicles would be detoured to the main roads such as High Street, which could
delay students and faculty commuting to and from campus. Besides that, the Union is a center of
attraction at Ohio State as it has many dining venues, student services, and many large halls for events
and parking garages that are in high use. At the peak

Fast Forward Through The Dada, De Stijl And Constructivist...
Fast forward through the Dada, De Stijl and Constructivist movements and we hit a brick wall of
boring, conservatist design again until David Carson barrels right through it, of course. Originally a
teacher of all subjects for grades seven through twelve, he enrolled in a two week graphic design
workshop at the University of Arizona, which influenced to this sociology major to change careers
that would lead him to become the primary designer for the 1980 s Grunge movement, though he
states that the movement was happening regardless of him for technology was already advancing

He works with whatever limited materials that are given to him and going by his own intuition and
interpretation of what he was seeing before him, he creates his designs. A big part of what I do has to
do with composition...The [idea] is to have a total use of all the elements in order to come up with
solutions.... I am using my intuition, trying to express things I am reading in the way that makes the
most sense to me. It is an important distinction to make that I am not trying to find what it is they want
(Blackwell 133 134). It was never about making something pretty, ugly, or hard to read he simply
wanted the photographs he was using and the text to look more interesting while still communicating
effectively and eliciting an emotional response from the viewer. Carson has a saying: Don t Mistake
Legibility for Communication (Figure 7). As he broke the barriers for design with the magazine Ray
Gun (Figure 8), which he had total freedom with, he was constantly critiqued that his work never
communicated well, if at all. A famous example of this is the article he designed for Ray Gun on the
musician Bryan Ferry, where Carson set the font for the piece entirely in Zapf Dingbat, for he found
the article itself dull and boring (Figure 9). As Carson says in his Ted Talk, the entire article is there,

##bolic Implications Of JesusExorcism In The Bible
In the synoptic gospels, Jesus exorcisms are portrayed as one of the major acts in Jesus mission to the
kingdom of God. The gospels not only narrate Jesus casting out the demons and cleansing the
possessed bodies, but also implicitly suggests the controversy he evokes among the Jewish and Roman
authorities of Judea and Galilee. The context of New Testament Gospels is deeply rooted in the Greco
Roman world and as such paints the background of the Jesus actions and messages. Several scholarly
publications that analyze biblical texts from the social science perspective have established a
relationship between the politics and religion of the ancient world.
The aim of this paper is to assess the events of demon possession and exorcism narrated in the Bible
not from a theological perspective but from sociopolitical standpoint. Drawing references from
scholarly publications on Bible, this paper would investigate the symbolic meanings of Jesus exorcism
in socio political sphere of Galilee and Judea at the very beginning of the first century. This paper
heavily relies upon the concepts proposed by Amanda Witmer in her publication Jesus, the Galilean
Exorcist, His Exorcisms in Social and Political Context.
The historically accurate reconstruction of Jesus is extremely improbable. This is largely due to the
limited quantity of resources survived and those that do, New Testament Gospels, are written under
the lens of religious followers. As such, there exists great challenge in

The United States During The Postwar Period
Following the increase in immigration rates to the United States during the postwar period, how well
immigrants do in the US Labour market in terms of earnings and opportunities has been of great
interest to Labour economists. Prior to the early 1960 s systems of immigration quotas such as the
National Origins formula were in place aimed to reduce the number of individuals seeking to enter
and reside in the country, however following the Hart Cellar Act (1965) there was an upsurge in
immigrants relocating to the US. This increase has provided for a lot of data that allows us to analyze
many trends related to immigration leading to the development of policies that result in economic well
being.
In this paper I examine the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Particularly when looking at returns to education and work experience, individuals migrating from
countries with different socio economic backgrounds may not possess human capital that is
transferable in the host country. In a study comparing migrants from neighboring countries with
German immigrants, Schmidt (1997) concluded that the immigrants who completed their primary,
secondary and higher education in Germany had similar earnings to native workers, while immigrants
who completed their education outside the host country earned significantly lower. Bratsberg, Barth
and Raaum (2006) find that growth in immigrant wages are a function of the time spent in the host
country as immigrants will typically earn less pay during the first years after permanently moving.
Immigrants are placed directly at a disadvantage in the labour market as soon as they ve immigrated
(Chiswick 1978). Given the recurring emphasis of this factor in the literature I include a year moved

continues to remain unobservable factors correlated with education that can affect wages, such as the
lack of equal opportunity in the access to education. Several

Abercrombie And Fitch s Current Csr Policies And Activities
Introduction Abercrombie and Fitch, founded in 1892, is an American clothing company that targets
young customers. It is headquartered in New Albany, Ohio, and has over 250 locations in the United
States and is expanding internationally. Abercrombie and Fitch is a reputable apparel and lifestyle

discrimination toward minority groups. In this report, I will describe and analyze Abercrombie and
Fitch s current CSR policies and activities, and provide recommendations to improve the company s

The Northern Ireland Conflict
The Northern Ireland Conflict
Esteemed members of the Board, in this report I intend to convincingly show you that the borders in
question absolutely need to be redrawn. The borders I speak of are those of the British oppression of
Northern Ireland. For years upon years the British have possessed political control over the people of
Northern Ireland. I will make it obvious to you that the strong Catholic religion throughout Northern
Ireland has forced the people to oppose British control. As most of you know, the official and majority
religion of Great Britain is that of Protestantism. And the deeply faithful Irish have always felt that
they were looked down upon by the British for refusing to practice their form of ... Show more content

This is a decent proportion of the population in Northern Ireland. It is significant enough for the
British government to recognize that the language still serves a special purpose in the Irish culture.
The language is so important that to give the British government a better name, they have set up
government funded classes for Irish of all ages to learn it. The British government has also funded
Irish language festivals, adult education classes, and research into Irish place names in Northern
Ireland. So it is obvious that the language of Ireland is extremely important to the culture and to the
people of the land. The Gaelic language has survived for so long because of the strong family ties the
Irish hold. These strong family ties are how many of the customs of the culture are passed down from
generation to generation. The family serves a key role in the society of the country. The bonds of
family do not only apply to the nuclear family, but instead the entire extended family usually lives
close to each other and often meet together for religious holidays. This strong family bond is how
many of the Irish people have been able to survive the many travesties that have been bestowed upon
them throughout the years.
One of the qualities that are not unique to the Irish people is that of the clothing styles. The styles
found in Ireland are the styles that are found throughout Europe and the rest of the Western World.

Nature And Nature Essay
Nature
Nature has a great effect on individual. I was connected to nature in so many ways, especially in my
youth days. Looking deep in to nature, I came to understand that nature is also a part of science which
consist of the plants, animals and human being ways of life.
During the season, I was always derived a great joy walking the wild for miles looking for which tree
to harvest, sometimes from morning to sunset. Meanwhile, as a little child I relied on nature for
recreation, having lived in a forest region of south Nigeria, I had access to wide grown trees for
different kinds of seasonal fruits which I always look for forward to. However, there was always that

Nature also plays a great role in the access to nutritional food as it is in the sea and river we have our
supplies of different types of fish and other sea foods.
More importantly, all these afore mentioned activities are what we take for grant but with time humans
has grown careless with usage of the resources of nature, greed set in. however, the population
explosion comes the natural assets and comes the war against our natural environment. People
deforestation because of agricultural activity, over fishing in our rivers and the seas. Meanwhile, with
the increase in population comes the plundering of the natural resources which if allowed to continue
unchecked, will continue to have a devastating effect on our natural environment. Although, we have
started experiencing some of the effect of global warming. For examples, extreme weather condition
like hurricane and draught in some part of the world. Recently, the hurricane Harvey that just
happened in Houston, being a Houstonian, the experience is still a great shock to me because, seeing
the wave destroying lots of houses being damaged and lives been taken away, it was a great disaster.
Nature as made me to understand that rise in sea level, is a result of melting of ice especially in polar
region. However, the effect of these change to the natural environment is one form of human social

Human Animalistic Instincts and Aggression Animals do not do what they have done. Animals kill to
eat, to defend themselves, or their own, and to protect their territory. Not for the joy of it. Not for the

possessions because they have to. Human beings adhere similar qualities to animalistic behaviors.
Animals must be hostile or hold violent behaviors or attitudes toward another ready to attack or to

One of the sources of the story is the Judgment of Solomon. In the Judgement of Solomon, two
women claim to be the mother of a baby. In the play, the story is reversed, and Grusha, the character
who is not the true mother of Michael, nurtures him as if he is her own. Territory is an important
aspect in the play, as it relates to possession over Michael, and the valley. Aggression is a biological
necessity for defense of territory. (CITE) Animals and humans do not want their dynasties taken away
from them. The moral of the story is that the one who will make the best use of the land which is the
piece of territory deserves it. Along with the land, the one who will be a good mother to Michael
deserves him. Michael represents the land. Territory is always fought over and humans like animals
feel obligated to defend what they think belongs to them. (CITE). Towards the end of the play,
Michael s real mother, and Grusha have a chalk circle drawn with Michael in the middle. Grusha does
not want to tug Michael s arm or to hurt him. As a result, she announced as his mother. Grusha

Why Is Paul Revere Important
The person I chose for my topic, who is the well known silver/goldsmith, Paul Revere, is quite
important to understanding the American Revolutionary War. Revere is considered by some to be the
kick starter of this revolution (Paul Revere, Columbia Electronic Encyclopedia.), so essentially, if you
are able to understand him, you are able to understand the American Revolution. In the following
essay, I will explain to you who Paul Revere is, and his importance. Revere was born around the time
of December 21, 1734, to January of 1735, which is relatively close. In his early years, before his
famous ride, he worked for his father to help support his rather large family. As time passed, he grew

brisk night that had indirectly been prepared for a while. A messenger that the redcoats were coming
informed Revere, and within moments he was knocking on Dr. Joseph Warrens door. Warren then
informed Revere of the British numbers, being 700 1000. After this talk with Warren, Revere set off to
find Robert Newman who was sexton of the church, and told him if the British are coming by land to
hang one lantern in the steeple of the Old North Church, and two if they were coming by sea. When
Revere saw the signal of two lanterns hanging, he quickly went to Charles River, where he boated past
the British in stealth mode, landing in Charlestown. Revere rode through Charlestown to Lexington
warning the Minutemen (David, Lester. The story behind Paul Revere s Famous ride. Boy s life,)
whom were the colonists packing artillery if this situation were to occur. It was said for many years
Revere yelled, The British are coming! which was incorrect. Quoting a very wise Dr. Keefer, it would
not make sense taking into account that Paul himself was British. Therefore it was determined he
shouted, The Regulars are out! When Revere finally reached Lexington, Bill Dawes and Dr. Samuel
Prescott joined in his ride. Along the way to Concord, a British officer stopped them, in which Revere
was captured, but Prescott Dawes were able to escape. However, it was too late. Revere was able to
escape, and he had heard firing in which the American Revolutionary War had just begun. (David,

Tax Law Essay
Trump s New Tax Law Only Benefits the Rich
The new Republican tax bill Tax Cuts and Jobs Act, one of the biggest tax bill in decades, officially
took effect in 2018. The bill will supposedly cut corporate and individual taxes by cutting income
taxes, doubling the standard deduction, and eliminating personal exemptions. Trump promoted the
bill, claiming that it would benefit the middle class Americans. However, new analysis by the Tax
Policy Center shows that only the wealthy will benefit, as the major change is that corporate tax rate
dropped from 35% to 21%, while the poor will pay more taxes unlike Trump s proposal.
The Act will drop income tax rates, but not as significantly as the corporate taxes. There are still seven
brackets, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
However, there are hidden downsides to the benefits. First, income tax rates and standard deductions
are only affected until 2025. Also, analysis discovered that low income families, especially large
families with multiple children or single parent households, would not benefit from the Act. In fact,
they will be forced to pay more taxes due to the elimination of personal exemptions. For example, a
married or joint couple with two children would have benefited a total of about $26,000 in 2017 with
both standard deduction and personal exemptions. With the new changes, the same family will only
benefit $24,000 from the standard deductions and lose out on $2,000. In general, families will be hurt
from the changes while individuals will benefit. The situation is even worse for single parent families
due to the significantly lower standard deduction for single filers when compared to married or joint
filers.
Although the changes above will be impactful, there are still greater changes in the bill. The biggest
changes of the Act are on corporate taxes, with many of these changes being beneficial for the
corporates. First, corporate tax rates dropped from 35% to 21%, a major drop and possible profit for
large corporations and its rich owners. The new tax rate, the lowest since 1939, could even be lowered

The Speaker s of Remembrance and Wuthering Heights react differently for the same struggle. The
tone of the last stanza of Remembrance is similar to the tone of the last chapter of Wuthering Heights.
Both works have a sullen mood and each speaker wants to move on from their memories. The way
Emily Bronte wrote the last stanza mirrors the feelings of Heathcliff in the last chapter of Wuthering
Heights. Both works seem to be tied together, as Remembrance reflects the feelings of Heathcliff, a

the production of insufficient amounts of insulin by the pancreas. Without insulin the body cannot
utilize glucose, thus creating a high level of glucose in the blood and a low level of glucose absorption
by the tissues. Diabetes mellitus is generally divided into two categories: type I called insulin

The Book Of Haggah By Zechariah
The author of the book is Zechariah, he whom the lord remembers. The book was written to the Jews
in Jerusalem that had returned from their captivity in Babylon. The book was written in and around
520 B.C. The major theme of the book, is rebuilding the Temple, only the first step. When we read
Zechariah, it is almost like reading Haggai all over again. The messages are very similar and they are
written around the same time. There was said to be a year between the two and their message of
encouragement. The biggest difference of the two writings is that in Zechariah s account, words like
Messiah and Kingdom appear. There is more prophecy in Zechariah s account than there was in
Haggai. There is nothing negative about this; I liken it unto ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

Like Israel, we too loose focus a lot, in our day to day lives. There are so many distractions; I truly
believe that we have more than they had in their day. Regardless, the focus should be on the mission I
like to call it, our fathers business. Zechariah, experience many visions as we read this great book it
puts us in the mind set of an Revelation or Daniel. It s hard not to get caught up in the apocalyptic
style of writing. The writer sucks you in to this almost dream world before you have to pull back and
reexamine were you were and the real message that he s conveying. To keep it simple his message was
about encouraging the people to finish what they had started. Rebuilding the temple, throwing in the
golden nuggets about the Messiah would come. After the temple was completed, Zechariah gave
several prophecies about Israel s future. It vividly describes the first and second coming of our lord
and Savior Jesus Christ. This book contains more about the person, work, and glory of Christ than any
other minor prophets combined. Israel s king would come, but his people would reject him. They
would later repent and be restored to God. The king is going to come again for the Judgment, we pray
that when he comes again that we have been faithful and he will find us pure in his sight. The building
of the temple is important here. Our bodies are our temple and we must continue to work on them
until Christ comes again to claim us, the Church the people of

Women s Roles And Gender Stereotypes Essay
Women s Roles
The Simpsons is a TV show that airs on the Fox network. During the fifth season, in an episode called
Lisa vs. Malibu Stacy, Lisa challenges the makers of the Malibu Stacy doll to create a less sexist doll.
The original creator of Malibu Stacy teams up with Lisa to create Lisa Lionheart to create a positive
influence for young girls. This episode raised a lot of questions regarding gender roles and
stereotypes. Gender stereotypes are prominent in today s life style. Per gender stereotypes, girls like
princesses and boys like cars. These gender roles, however, do not just apply to children. These roles
are still very prominent in grown up society. The pay gap between men and women Gender roles are a
big part of humankind society.
There is insurmountable evidence that points to the idea that gender stereotypes is largely
accomplished through social factors. Scholars in both sociological and psychological fields believe
that gender is constructed through the modeling of appropriate behaviors and the use of systematic
rewards and punishments. Evidence also shows that many aspects of gender are not innate, as
evidenced by children who do not exhibit a gender specific preference in friends, clothing or toys
when placed in gender neutral settings. Only after negative reactions from parents, teachers, or friends
do many children begin to take on the gender roles society comes to see as appropriate for them.

Beer Game
Bullwhip Effect Through the numerous stages of a supply chain; key factors such as time and supply
of order decisions, demand for the supply, lack of communication and disorganization can result in
one of the most common problems in supply chain management. This common problem is known as
the bullwhip effect; also sometimes the whiplash effect. In this blog post we will explain this concept
and outline some of the contributing factors to this issue. [pic] The bullwhip effect can be explained as
an occurrence detected by the supply chain where orders sent to the manufacturer and supplier create
larger variance then the sales to the end customer. These irregular orders in the lower part of the

Evolution Of The Freeway System Essay
The Evolution of the Freeway System in Los Angeles
Society has always been a continuous community of movement; trying to get from one place to
another. Commuting citizens, cargo and information has always been a significant contributor to the
economic and societal life of many municipalities. From the industrial age, society has been
progressively reliant on different transportation systems in order to accomplish trade, distribution of
supplies, tourism and so on. As the suburban sprawl continues to expand, technology advances. The
resources needed to attain successful transportation has evolved over many historical revolutions to
accommodate a growing population and the immense density of a growing city. Developments in
mechanics has permitted people to move faster with greater amount of supplies and travel longer
distances, but not without challenges. Urban planners have an outlying role in freeway development
that explains the challenges needed to be overcome to excel in successful transportation services.
Urban planners have the duty to conduct political negotiations between different levels of the
government to excel and expand our urban society. Information needed to fully understand the
evolution will demonstrate the importance and impact freeway systems have on urban and suburban
lifestyles.
The decision to start implementing a system that allows automobiles to quickly get through regulated
traffic by using different roads that are composed together, will result in

The Core Values Of Integrity
There are multiple values that come to mind that I have a strong belief in, but there is one that I find
extremely crucial to being successful in life. This value is what makes a person trustworthy and
honorable. I strongly believe that integrity is one of the most important values in my life. Living by
this value has changed my life significantly and I seek this value in others as well. Integrity is a great
value to live by, it is what makes me a better student, employee, friend and family member.
Through many years of schooling, integrity has always been a core value of mine. By having integrity
in a school setting it makes me more of a trustworthy student. Being a person of integrity in school

It is extremely important that my friends and family members trust me and by maintaining my
integrity it ensures healthy relationships. If my parents were unable to trust me, it would be extremely
hard to do what I want, but by having their trust I am able to certain things that they otherwise would
not allow. For example, going out with friends or being out a little later than my curfew. Having the
trust of my parents is so important to me, and that is why integrity is one of the core values that I
follow. When it comes to my friends I believe that trust is very important. I rely a lot on my friends for
advice and they trust me with their private information, and that is where integrity comes in, without it
I would not be a good friend. I would not be able to give good advice or be trusted with a secret.
Having integrity is such an important factor in my life because it makes me an overall better person
and it makes relationships with other people stronger. I believe that integrity plays a key role in my
relationships between friends and family. Having another person s trust in a relationship, whether they
are a family member or a friend is extremely important to me, and that is why I value integrity so

Dolphins Persuasive
Why Should We Save the Dolphins? Final Draft
By: Emily Chang
Class: 6(2)
Subject: English
Teacher: Mr. Kris(Smith)
Imagine you are a dolphin swimming happily in the ocean with the other dolphins. Suddenly, you hear
something terrible, and that makes you feel extremely uncomfortable. You swim towards somewhere
safe to get away from that terrible sound. However, when you get in, you realize it is a trap! You have
been caught! You might be sent to an aquarium or killed to be made into sushi. This unfortunate fate is
not a dream, but it is a sad reality for hundreds of thousands of innocent dolphins. They are
endangered of becoming extinct and their main predators are us, humans. Our society needs to do
something to preserve and protect our precious dolphins. Dolphins should be saved because they are
an endangered species, it is cruel to kill such intelligent animals and they are not even safe to eat.
Dolphins: An Endangered Species There are many kinds of dolphins in the world. The most common
one that we see in theme parks, aquariums and movies is the Bottlenose Dolphin. Fortunately for us,
this is one of the few species of dolphins that are not yet endangered. However, there are many other
different species of dolphins that are endangered. For example, the Baiji Dolphins, Chilean ... Show

It was thought that there were only around 13 Baiji Dolphins left in the world, and there was even an
organization that was made to help save them. The organization had a website, but it no longer exists
so that makes the situation for these incredible creatures hopeless. It is likely that they are in fact
extinct. This is a sad situation because we could have and should have prevented this. If we do not
save the dolphins, the path to extinct might be quicker. Therefore, we must help save the dolphins to
ensure their population continues to

Zeppelin and Br
Was the Hindenburg disaster a result of sabotage committed by the opponents of the Nazi
organization? Did a bolt of lightning strike the zeppelin? Or was one of the most devastating accidents
in aviation history nothing but a cunningly planned insurance fraud?
br
br Over 60 years ago, airships were the queens of the skies. In the early 1900s, a stubborn, yet brilliant
German count, Count Ferdinand von Zeppelin, took keen interest in balloon flights and was devoted to
the design and construction of airships. At first, he had many difficulties and setbacks but soon his
airships were able to accommodate passengers as well. This lighter than air vehicle will later be
known as a zeppelin.

The Germans pleaded to buy sufficient helium to accommodate their airship needs, but the United
States, deciding that the helium might be of military value and should be conserved, refused. When
the disaster occurs, the United States would at first, regret not selling its supply of helium to Germany.
But 2 years into World War II, they will see that they were fortunate not to have done so.
br
br The German Zeppelin Company had already flown more than one million accident free voyages
with hydrogen but the crew always checked their passengers. All objects that could cause a spark or
electric charge were confiscated including flashlights, flashbulbs and distributed felt soled shoes to
prevent static on the walkways.
br
br One of Hindenburg s first missions was a 3 day trip across Germany dropping pamphlets and
broadcasting Hitler s speeches on its loudspeaker, urging German people to support Hitler. Then, it
embarked to fly around the world.
br
br Only a year after its launch, the Hindenburg was scheduled to fly from Frankfurt, Germany to New
Jersey s Lakehurst Naval Air Station on May 3, 1937. Bad weather prevented the Hindenburg from
landing at Lakehurst, so the captain cruised down the east coast, offering passengers the splendid
view. When the storm cleared out, the Hindenburg tried to land. But suddenly a tongue of flame

Dangers Of MDMA
MDMA, going to parties, being a young adult and trying new things is always fun but it might be
more harmful than once thought. Looking at the compounds of the drug, how it was made and long
and short term effects to show how bad it is. Looking at the different age groups and how MDMA
affects them. Looking at all the consequences worldwide from MDMA will show that this is a party
drug to a party most might not want to go to. MDMA (methylenedioxymethamphetamine) is more
commonly known as ecstasy. It was made by a german drug company called merck in 1912. It was
then popularized in the hippie era in the 1970 s. People associated it to be dangerous because it was
made by germany and in the 1940 s everybody knows germany was where the nazi ... Show more

Although this may be true it doesn not cure anything it does what any other drug does give you a false
sense of happiness. The way this drug works as soon as it enters the bloodstream it goes straight for
you brain. Specifically it goes to the part of your brain that produces serotonin. Serotonin essentially is
the chemical your brain produces when your happy. MDMA or ecstasy goes for the serotonin to push
out as much as it can. Another danger of this drug is it can be sold to people who do not know what it
looks like for something more dangerous. This may be harmful because serotonin is what regulates
your overall mood and body temperature. When this much serotonin is pushed out the body
temperature is can go up to 110 degrees fahrenheit or higher. At 110 degrees fahrenheit blood starts to
coagulate in the past 2 decades dozens of users died to this (John C.). This is a dangerous short term
effect of MDMA but there are other dangerous effects of MDMA that are long term as well. As the
ecstasy forces serotonin out it reshapes the brain cells that produces chemicals. A recent study pinning
people who have never taken ecstasy vs people who took it 2 weeks prior shows that there are less
serotonin receptors in people who have taken ecstasy. This makes it harder for your body to regulate
emotions so mood swings occur frequently. Depending on how hard the mood swing hits this could be
dangerous. Another danger of ecstasy is it s look, it looks like almost all other medicine. This can be
dangerous because you never know if it will show up in your medicine cabinet by mistake (it is not
likely to happen but there have been cases). More short term symptoms for ecstasy include paranoia,
addiction, muscle tension and worst case scenario death. Other long term effects of ecstasy include
kidney failure, hemorrhage, and

Hip Hop And Rap Music
Swiss Hip Hop and Rap According to Michael Dyson and Wikipedia, Hip hop music and Hip Hop
culture formed during the 1970s when block parties became increasingly popular in New York City.
The genre became home to and was developed by African American youth residing in the Bronx.
Block parties involved DJs playing very percussive breaks of popular songs Then Rapping developed
as the primary vocal style of the genre. Hip hop s early evolution occurred as sampling technology and
drum machines became widely available and affordable. This can be seen as a technoscape. Hip Hop
and Rap music became an important voice of poor inner city youth. They were often the victims of
systematic abuse and stuck in continuous poverty. Hip Hop was referred to as black music with
serious influences from funk and soul.
The first hip hop record is widely regarded to be The Sugarhill Gang s Rapper s Delight , in 1979. As
the 1980s came about, the genre grew more complex. In addition hip hop during the 1980s began to
spread and became a part of the music scene in dozens of other countries. Today Hip Hop is no
underground music in the United States anymore. Hip Hop has become a cultural phenomena enjoyed
and heard by millions of people. While American Hip Hop reaches millions worldwide, other places
have seen their own Hip Hop scene come about. In September 1996 the European Music Office
published its report on Music in Europe .

How Did Hamilton Affect The Economy
Even though he was not perfect, Hamilton did make many important economic decisions that would
later impact the future of the U.S. Beginning with he returned to New York, Hamilton finished his
studies and worked as a Pro Bono Lawyer, a lawyer who worked without pay, helping ordinary people
with everyday problems, (Fowler, Russell). Following this Hamilton attended the Constitutional
Convention hinting his support for a strong federal government, which would later lead to the
foundation of the Federalist Party, ( Alexander Hamilton. Dictionary of American Biography). In
support of a centralized government, Hamilton worked to change the Articles of Confederation and
was one of the authors of the famous Federalist Papers in which he wrote 51 of the 85 essays along

dividing it into two categories, domestic and foreign debt. By 1795, foreign debt was repaid, and 40
years later domestic debt was also repaid. Furthermore, U.S currency grew to hold strong economic
value worldwide ( Alexander Hamilton Gale Encyclopedia of U.S. Economic History). Along with
repaying debt, Hamilton devised the foundation for a Bank of New York ( The Bank of New York
Company, Inc. ) and a National Bank. The bank held many critics, including James Madison, however
it was passed along with Hamilton s tax and public credit idea in exchange for Hamilton agreeing to
help vote for the capital of the United States being near Virginia, as shown in the song The Room
Where It Happens (Miller, Daniel T). In addition to his duties as Secretary of the Treasury, Hamilton
helped write George Washington s Farewell Address (Bellesiles, Michael) also shown in the

Credibility Sparknotes
Credibility
Lucinda Chumley
Life Pacific College
Credibility
James Kouzes and Barry Posner wrote a leadership book entitled Credibility: How leaders gain and
lose it, why people demand it ( Credibility ). It was written specifically for managers because, while
academia had a wealth of research regarding credibility, little had been directed toward managers
(Kouzes Posner, 2003, p. 276). The edition selected for review was published in 2003. The purpose of
this paper is to examine the leadership theories it contains, both explicit and implicit.
Implicit theories are influenced by individual beliefs, values, and personality traits, as well as by
shared beliefs and values about leaders in the organizational culture and the national culture (Yukl,
2010, p. 135). This idiom states this principal well: Every action begins with a belief. One distinctive
feature of Credibility is that all chapter headings, and most sub headings, use action verbs with an ing
ending. For example, chapter titles include: Discovering yourself (p. 58) Appreciating constituents (p.
88), Affirming shared values (p. 119), and et cetera. This indicates implicit theory at work. On every
page, the very words convey and compel action. The authors are utilizing charismatic communication
(Yukl, 2010, p. 265).
The unseen force that propels Credibility is a blend of ethical, transformational, and servant leadership
theories . The book s introductory pages initiate this idea with

  • 2. The Effect of Make me Proud! Singapore 2010 Youth Olympic... This report aims to critically analyse the methodological, theoretical and philosophical issues surrounding the study conducted by Ho Keat Leng, Tzu Yin Kuo, Grain Baysa Pee and Josephine Tay (2012); Make me proud! Singapore 2010 Youth Olympic Games and its effect on National pride of young Singaporeans, An assessment to determine whether there is any changes in the level of national pride in the hosting of the Youth Olympic Games which was held in 2010 in Singapore (hereafter referred to as the Paper ). Title According to Gratton and Jones (2004) the title of the research is an important part of the research process; because once a focused research question is developed than the rest of the research method is based on answering that question. The paper clearly sought out to answer the key areas mentioned in its title. In the results section of the Paper discussed all the aspects in relative detail however more stress was given to national pride of young Singaporeans as these were discussed further. With sport and expression being arguably an essential part of this research (Jaksa, 2011; Morgan , 1997), it should have been discussed further. Literature Review According to Morgan (1997) the national identity can be defined by simply as how a country think about them in reality. The literature review of the Paper gives the reader an idea of the peoples national identity as the sense of belonging to, and identification with, the nation; it is an incarnation of ... • 3. Sean Mannion Case Study The last time a football team played in Los Angeles was in 1994 and that was with the Los Angeles Rams and Los Angeles Raiders. Both teams left after the 1994 season. The Raiders returned back to Oakland and the Rams relocated to St. Louis. Fortunately for football fans in Los Angeles, the Rams returned back to LA this year. They played their first preseason game in LA on Saturday and beat the Dallas Cowboys by 4 points in a 28 24 comeback finish. The Rams played mediocrely, but finished strong especially with surprisingly good QB, Sean Mannion who wasn t even expected to get a role in the QB position this year. Sean Mannion went 18/25 for 147 yards and 3 TD with 1 INT. Case Keenum, the presumptive regular season starter did go 6/7 for 58 yards and no TD or INT and a RTG of 101.2. Case Keenum played well for the time he was in, but only got 7 attempts in, so it is hard to say what his true value is at this point. The project was put on by the Office of Student Life as part of their South High Rise Project which took place before the 2012 school year. The geothermal system was designed to sustain several hundred refrigeration tons of heat from the ground and is currently not being used to capacity to heat the previously stated droms on south campus. Due to a surplus in the system, Student Life would like to know if running piping to the Union and/or Drinko Hall would have a reasonable return on investment. The average usage assumption is based on the same number of people using the buildings. It could increase if more people used the buildings, or decrease if they are used less. Other economic factors that could increase costs on the project is inflation, maintenance cost, and a longer than expected life of project, all of which would make the project have a lower return on investment. All of these assumptions, if changed, can change the predicted MARR, and should be considered when making the final calculations. Non Economic/ Financial Factors currently editing After analyzing the economic factors, some non economic factors should also be considered in this observation of the geothermal well. Installation of the piping could affect the movement of traffic along the roads in that area and cause traffic jams. During the construction, some campus roads would need to be closed and vehicles would be detoured to the main roads such as High Street, which could delay students and faculty commuting to and from campus. • 6. ##bolic Implications Of JesusExorcism In The Bible In the synoptic gospels, Jesus exorcisms are portrayed as one of the major acts in Jesus mission to the kingdom of God. The gospels not only narrate Jesus casting out the demons and cleansing the possessed bodies, but also implicitly suggests the controversy he evokes among the Jewish and Roman authorities of Judea and Galilee. The context of New Testament Gospels is deeply rooted in the Greco Roman world and as such paints the background of the Jesus actions and messages. Several scholarly publications that analyze biblical texts from the social science perspective have established a relationship between the politics and religion of the ancient world. The aim of this paper is to assess the events of demon possession and exorcism narrated in the Bible not from a theological perspective but from sociopolitical standpoint. Drawing references from scholarly publications on Bible, this paper would investigate the symbolic meanings of Jesus exorcism in socio political sphere of Galilee and Judea at the very beginning of the first century. This paper heavily relies upon the concepts proposed by Amanda Witmer in her publication Jesus, the Galilean Exorcist, His Exorcisms in Social and Political Context. The historically accurate reconstruction of Jesus is extremely improbable. This is largely due to the limited quantity of resources survived and those that do, New Testament Gospels, are written under the lens of religious followers. The British government has also funded Irish language festivals, adult education classes, and research into Irish place names in Northern Ireland. Revere is considered by some to be the kick starter of this revolution (Paul Revere, Columbia Electronic Encyclopedia.), so essentially, if you are able to understand him, you are able to understand the American Revolution. Warren then informed Revere of the British numbers, being 700 1000. After this talk with Warren, Revere set off to find Robert Newman who was sexton of the church, and told him if the British are coming by land to hang one lantern in the steeple of the Old North Church, and two if they were coming by sea. When Revere saw the signal of two lanterns hanging, he quickly went to Charles River, where he boated past the British in stealth mode, landing in Charlestown. Revere rode through Charlestown to Lexington warning the Minutemen (David, Lester. The story behind Paul Revere s Famous ride. Boy s life,) whom were the colonists packing artillery if this situation were to occur. It was said for many years Revere yelled, The British are coming! which was incorrect. Quoting a very wise Dr. Keefer, it would not make sense taking into account that Paul himself was British. Therefore it was determined he shouted, The Regulars are out! When Revere finally reached Lexington, Bill Dawes and Dr. Samuel Prescott joined in his ride. Along the way to Concord, a British officer stopped them, in which Revere was captured, but Prescott Dawes were able to escape. However, it was too late. The major theme of the book, is rebuilding the Temple, only the first step. When we read Zechariah, it is almost like reading Haggai all over again. During the fifth season, in an episode called Lisa vs. Malibu Stacy, Lisa challenges the makers of the Malibu Stacy doll to create a less sexist doll. The original creator of Malibu Stacy teams up with Lisa to create Lisa Lionheart to create a positive influence for young girls. Per gender stereotypes, girls like princesses and boys like cars. These gender roles, however, do not just apply to children. These roles are still very prominent in grown up society. The pay gap between men and women Gender roles are a big part of humankind society. There is insurmountable evidence that points to the idea that gender stereotypes is largely accomplished through social factors. Scholars in both sociological and psychological fields believe that gender is constructed through the modeling of appropriate behaviors and the use of systematic rewards and punishments. Evidence also shows that many aspects of gender are not innate, as evidenced by children who do not exhibit a gender specific preference in friends, clothing or toys when placed in gender neutral settings. Only after negative reactions from parents, teachers, or friends do many children begin to take on the gender roles society comes to see as appropriate for them. Although this may be true it doesn not cure anything it does what any other drug does give you a false sense of happiness. The way this drug works as soon as it enters the bloodstream it goes straight for you brain. Specifically it goes to the part of your brain that produces serotonin. Serotonin essentially is the chemical your brain produces when your happy. MDMA or ecstasy goes for the serotonin to push out as much as it can. Another danger of this drug is it can be sold to people who do not know what it looks like for something more dangerous. This may be harmful because serotonin is what regulates your overall mood and body temperature. When this much serotonin is pushed out the body temperature is can go up to 110 degrees fahrenheit or higher. At 110 degrees fahrenheit blood starts to coagulate in the past 2 decades dozens of users died to this (John C.). This is a dangerous short term effect of MDMA but there are other dangerous effects of MDMA that are long term as well. As the ecstasy forces serotonin out it reshapes the brain cells that produces chemicals. A recent study pinning people who have never taken ecstasy vs people who took it 2 weeks prior shows that there are less serotonin receptors in people who have taken ecstasy. This makes it harder for your body to regulate emotions so mood swings occur frequently. Depending on how hard the mood swing hits this could be dangerous. Another danger of ecstasy is it s look, it looks like almost all other medicine. This can be dangerous because you never know if it will show up in your medicine cabinet by mistake (it is not likely to happen but there have been cases). More short term symptoms for ecstasy include paranoia, addiction, muscle tension and worst case scenario death. Other long term effects of ecstasy include kidney failure, hemorrhage, and ... Hip Hop And Rap Music Swiss Hip Hop and Rap According to Michael Dyson and Wikipedia, Hip hop music and Hip Hop culture formed during the 1970s when block parties became increasingly popular in New York City. The genre became home to and was developed by African American youth residing in the Bronx. Block parties involved DJs playing very percussive breaks of popular songs Then Rapping developed as the primary vocal style of the genre. Hip hop s early evolution occurred as sampling technology and drum machines became widely available and affordable. This can be seen as a technoscape. Hip Hop and Rap music became an important voice of poor inner city youth. They were often the victims of systematic abuse and stuck in continuous poverty. Hip Hop was referred to as black music with serious influences from funk and soul. The first hip hop record is widely regarded to be The Sugarhill Gang s Rapper s Delight , in 1979. As the 1980s came about, the genre grew more complex. In addition hip hop during the 1980s began to spread and became a part of the music scene in dozens of other countries. Today Hip Hop is no underground music in the United States anymore. Hip Hop has become a cultural phenomena enjoyed and heard by millions of people. • 31. Credibility Sparknotes Credibility Lucinda Chumley Life Pacific College Credibility James Kouzes and Barry Posner wrote a leadership book entitled Credibility: How leaders gain and lose it, why people demand it ( Credibility ). It was written specifically for managers because, while academia had a wealth of research regarding credibility, little had been directed toward managers (Kouzes Posner, 2003, p. 276). The edition selected for review was published in 2003. The purpose of this paper is to examine the leadership theories it contains, both explicit and implicit. Implicit theories are influenced by individual beliefs, values, and personality traits, as well as by shared beliefs and values about leaders in the organizational culture and the national culture (Yukl, 2010, p. 135). This idiom states this principal well: Every action begins with a belief. One distinctive feature of Credibility is that all chapter headings, and most sub headings, use action verbs with an ing ending. For example, chapter titles include: Discovering yourself (p. 58) Appreciating constituents (p. 88), Affirming shared values (p. 119), and et cetera. This indicates implicit theory at work. On every page, the very words convey and compel action. The authors are utilizing charismatic communication (Yukl, 2010, p. 265). The unseen force that propels Credibility is a blend of ethical, transformational, and servant leadership theories . The book s introductory pages initiate this idea with ...
