On a warm evening after a busy day at the office, I fired up my Laptop to search Big Bang Theory ,
to learn further about the famous theory. However, all my search results were related to the sitcom.
This was astonishing, nevertheless, I checked the next page, the page after that, and so on.
Surprisingly, not even a single result pertaining to the intended scientific theory existed in the
search result. Only after appending the term science I arrived at the expected result. This made me

Gunshots rang throughout American soil in the year 1861. The seven southern states seceded and
formed the Confederate States of America. The remaining northern states were known as the
Union. The central issue between the Union and the Confederacy was slavery which led to
America s bloodiest war, lasting four years and leaving roughly six hundred thousand people
dead. The North was victorious and the South s infrastructure was severely crippled. All slaves
were set free and a month before the official end to the war, Lincoln was assassinated, leaving Vice
President Andrew Johnson to take over the Presidency. The next task for America to tackle was the
South s reconstruction which would continue until 1877. Although reconstruction made the South
go through many changes leading to lots of progress, it also had some fallbacks from the

Why Attending School
I have not attended many different schools but I know that they all have more than one thing in
common, and these things need to be changed somehow, they are just not working. Whether you
are attending primary school, secondary school or college there are always issues with how we
are taught, what is being taught to us and how will it help us at the end of the day. I am sure there
are many reasons why we are taught the way we are and why we need to learn these things. The
list is endless. My entire schoollife I have come to discover patterns from different students
including myself. Attending school and learning is not boring or tiring. The schedule, the
process and the reasoning behind going to school is unfitting. First they tell us what time we
have to be in class without even considering the time of year and what season it is. It does not
sound like much to worry about. But I have realized that students tend to wake up late during the
winter, they take longer getting out of the bed and tend to eat and sleep more meaning they have

we should ask is should we? Should we develop vehicles that can fully operate themselves with

As well about half the students did not take us seriously. So with those in mind we had to build
up our credibility. In the beginning of the year we had to start with factual pieces which we

Observation Of CM Allen s Afterschool
My group had to opportunity to observe CM Allen s afterschool program first and meet the kids
residing in the neighborhood. Upon arriving, I noticed the little playground right across the street
from the KAD Korner Store and it wasn t very big and took up most space in the area so there
wasn t a lot of open space for the kids to run around and playdifferent, structured games like the
ones we had planned. I didn t like that the playgroundwas across the street because the kids would
run back and forth between them and they wouldn t look both ways before crossing, unless you
reminded them constantly. However, the playground did have a skateboard area, basketball court
and a table with a roof on it for them to rest and get some shade.

Status Of Women In The 1800s
Throughout the twentieth century the status of women has been on a slow, but steady upward
slope. The women of this time worked extremely hard to earn the rights and status we hold today.
The improvements in the status of women were subtle in the beginning. In time though, it became
well known the overall status of women and how they once were viewed was to be changed for
the better in the eyes of society. The change in women s status included but was not limited to:
improvement in their every day work atmosphere, voting rights were given, and the ability to be
noticed for their hard work was achieved. Solely the women themselves did not achieve the
noticeable improvement in the status of women; the federal government played a large role in the

By the early 1900 s the percentage of women who worked out side the home worked in factories.
Factories were unclean, held no proper safety regulations, and required the women to work long
hour shifts. The average shift for a women working in the factories at this time was excessively
long. Because the women were working these long hours they felt they needed to be heard when
it came to the complaints they had. The 25 percent of women that made up the work force were
a crucial factor in the ever growing U.S economy. In their ability to provide the U.S with
essential economic power the women gained so called public visibility. The ability for women to
be in the work force signified the beginning of true modernity in female roles. The newfound
visibility and forcefulness of women in the work force would lead to their later well earned rights.

Examples Of Individuality In The Chocolate War
The positives of being an individual are more present in the media, but the negatives are
normally overlooked . In the novel named The Chocolate War by Robert Cormier the main
character Jerry has to deal with reality that it s not so easy to go against the grain .The novel
does an excellent job highlighting how his individuality affects his social , personal life, and
societal pressures and bullying . The first thing The Chocolate War highlights are the effects
individuality has on the protagonist Jerry Renault throughout the story. After Jerry decides to
not sell chocolates there seems to be a ripple effect of other students viewing him as a hero with
kids slapping him on the butt and in the school that was a sign of respect. Then the chocolates
become popular the whole thing backfires with the whole student body railing against him in
