Canadian Prime Minister s Power
The prime minister has a significant amount of power within the Canadian government. Some of the
sources of the prime minister s powers are the number of seats in the House of Commons he and his
party has, his ability to give push/give priority to certain government agendas, and his ability to
appoint different governmental positions. For a politician to hold the office of PM his party must hold
the majority of the seats in the house; this means that by convention his party must be in solidarity
with his decisions, which gives the PM s the loyal support of his party. Another power of the PM is the
ability to put forward government agendas that they believe should be prioritized. The PM also has the
ability to appoint people who they believe

Lars Brownworth Lost To The West Summary
Once a Frankish king, Charlemagne was declared the ruler of the Holy Roman Empire in the West by
Pope Leo III, whom he defended in a vicious legal battle (153). This, of course, incited fury in the
East, as the Pope did not truly possess this authority, causing the divide between the Eastern and
Western Christianity to grow further and become more volatile (154). Consequently, when
Charlemagne sent a marriage proposal to Irene and Irene considered accepting, her subjects quickly
overthrew her (154).
As invaders continued to flood the Byzantine Empire, faith in Iconoclasm finally shattered and the
destruction of icons was officially condemned (158 158). Subsequently, under the rule of Emperor
Theophilus, the East experienced an unparalleled ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Although comprehensive, Lost to the West covers over a millennium of history in about three hundred
pages, and thus must be somewhat broad in certain areas. Brownworth rarely includes dates and often
only mentions certain figures and events in passing. Such would indicate that this book was not
written for academics or scholars, rather it was written for high school students and curious adults.
Brownworth himself establishes this, writing that he ...used Latinized rather than Greek names
Constantine instead of Konstandinos on the grounds that they ll be more familiar and accessible to the

Modernization Of A Poor Communist Country
Introduction China s thirty year run of almost 10% GDP growth is legendary and there are many
reasons for this phenomenal growth. The journey of a poor communist country of the 1950s to a world
economic superpower today reads like a novel comprised of economic plots and sub plots along the
way. After the establishment of the People s Republic of China in 1949, the country started on the path
to industrialisation in earnest. The hallmarks of industrialization were the consolidation of socialist
governance and increased control over the domestic migration of labour, which paved the way for the
administration of the planned economy. This dramatic system of economic reform has benefited China
in many ways. However, there are still a number of issues which the country needs to address if it
wants to maintain long term economic stability. 1952 to 1978 In the 1950s China had a meagre
national growth rate of 3%. To speed up the industrialization process the government increased
investment in heavy industries such as steel, concrete and heavy machinery. The growth that happened
during this period was more a result of increase in physical and human capital than an increase in
productive efficiency. The production activities of State enterprises were determined according to the
government plan rather than market signals. The State enterprises were inefficient, employed
redundant workers (as mandated by the socialist state system), and there was little market demand for

Effects Of Global Warming On Human Activity
Statement of the problem:
Nowadays the climate of the Earth is changing rapidly due to the increase of greenhouse gases. 90%
of this gases released in environment is due to the human activity by burning of fossil fuels. Due to the
climate change the health sector is affected mainly children, adults and whole population. The climate
change is danger to the health system, the increase in temperature is causing in heat waves that leads
to less rainfall, rise in sea level and flood. Due to this the health of population is affecting by various
diseases like respiratory problems, heart diseases, cancer and many more. The world health
Organization states that the increase in global warming is due to human activities that changes in

During the last two decades the respiratory problem has increased in United States due to the climate
factors. The irritants comes from the deserts that travel through by ocean waves which are increased
by the warmer temperatures. Plant pollen has increased which are involved in air that comes in the
form of irritants. Due to this it has resulted in respiratory problems.
It has shown in 2003 the Europe the rise in temperature has killed 40,000 people in six countries. In
India it was around 4000 people who die due to heat waves. In Chicago it was 700 people who
suffered with respiratory problems. It is estimated that if the warming is increased by two degree in
Atlanta results in heat related deaths.
Some researchers stated that blaming activities of human being for destruction is not at all true. They
explained that life has evolved 400 million ago and the amount of co2 was more than 10 times than
now and it had decreased time to time. By this they stated that the human activity is not merely the
main cause. Some researchers argued that human activities and natural process has increased the
greenhouse gases.
Increase in carbon in air and climate change both have an effect in health sector. The consumption of
food which is contaminated with carbons and inhaling the air has increased the body mass. The
changes in climate has shown the stress to the mankind like the disasters which is facing today by the
environment. Increase in weather

Social And Economic Effects Of Bacon s Rebellion
Bacon s Rebellion and its aftermath transformed Virginia s social and economic order by speeding
along the adoption of slavery as a primary means of labor. Nathaniel Bacon rallied ex indentured
servants and poor frontiersman against the colonial government. These people were forced to take less
desirable land on the outskirts of the colony where [...] they lived under the constant threat of
potentially hostile Native Americans (Bacon s Rebellion NBC). Bacon, frustrated with the apathy of
the government to address Indian aggression, lead his band of followers and indiscriminately attacked
Native Americans. Royal Governor Sir William Berkely refused to sanction these attacks and declared
Bacon a rebel, sending 300 militiamen to drag him to Jamestown for trial (Nash ... Show more content

Indentured servants were a limited resource as they would eventually become free. The non slaves
became more intransigent and apt to resist the efforts of the ruling class s economic and political
subjugation upon them. Southern planters began to look toward the African slave trade as a reliable
source of controllable labor. The economic power of England was rising and helped to increase the
level of slave purchasing and selling. The influx of white indentured servants from England into
Virginia drastically decreased which only accelerated the adoption of slavery. African slaves were a
more easily controlled and exploited labor pool. By the 1730s, the number of white indentured
servants had dwindled to insignificance (Nash, 60). When considering the legacy of Bacon s Rebellion
upon the transformation of Virginia, and beyond, this event in history demonstrated that poor whites
and poor blacks could be united in a cause. This was a great fear of the ruling class what would
prevent the poor from uniting to fight them? This fear hastened the transition to racial slavery

Thank you, Kurapika whispered, and Leorio could almost see the invisible weight he d been carrying

hungry. And you think I sound like a mom, Kurapika grumbled, but he picked up his fork and began to

Smash The Pig Research Paper
Meta: Get ready, as it is time to go pig smashing in the latest game from Spielo. Aptly titled Smash the
Pig, will you be able to rip the reels of this new release apart in order to win big? Smash the Pig
Review Smash the Pig is a brand new slot that brings a new feel and spin to the casino slots genre.
This slot game by Spielo is not one based on glitz, glamour, and the high life, which seems to be the
common trend of the moment. Instead, it is a game that has agricultural roots, as it is based around life
on the farmyard. Considering its odd premise, eyebrows have certainly been raised, with many
questioning the legitimacy of this new game prior to release. Being as objective as possible, can this
theme actually be made into a fun game? There is only one way to find out! These little pigs went

(which it does rather quickly I must add) your eyes will be treated to bright colours all over the screen.

Lion Beavers Vs Golden Retrievers
Personalities: the combination of characteristics or qualities that form an individual s distinctive
character. Personalities vary within each individual, some people can be categorized into more than
one personality type. There are many different personalities that an individual can be distinguished as.
One way to be categorized is using the meaning behind certain animals. These animals have drastic
differences and allows individuals to find their personalities beneath them. The animals that are used
to distinguish within personalities are lions, otters, beavers, and golden retrievers.
In the survey online called Five Minute Personality Test it shows that if an individual has a lion
personality that means that they are a leader. The lion ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In this book Nettle talks about how traits cannot be observed directly, but it is possible to figure out
which person has certain traits by observing their personalities. Nettle s direct statement is, you can
never observe a trait directly. Instead, you infer a person s level of the trait through their behaviour. No
one will be nervous all the time, but some people might be nervous more often and over a wider range
of circumstances than others. This propensity to nervousness, to qualify as a trait, would have to be
fairly consistent over time (Nettle 19 20). That direct quote shows how each personality comes with
the same traits, just some personalities have stronger traits than others. Different personalities have

Psychology 4310: Theories of Personality
August 18, 2017
Arthur D. Kemp, Ph.D., M.S.
Associate Professor of Psychological Science
Neal Miller John Dollard Neal Miller, a well known psychologist, was an important theorist who
dedicated a lot of time and effort into studying the work of Sigmund Freud and Clark Hull. Miller
became interested in Clark Hull s work on his study of classical conditioning (Coon, 2010). While at
Yale University, Miller joined John Dollard and several other individuals to write the book Frustration
and Aggression (Coon, 2010). After this book was wrote, Miller and Dollard joined together in writing
many other books, including Personality and Psychotherapy: An Analysis in Terms of Learning,
Thinking and Culture and Social Learning and Imitation (Coon, 2010). Having joined together for ...

The first was drive or the want for something, the second is cue meaning noticing something, the third
is response meaning the person must act on that drive and cue, and the final was reward which means
that after the person has responded to their drive and cue, they will feel a rewarded (Coon, 2010). As
well as those four factors, Dollard and Miller discussed their version of Hull s drive reduction
hypothesis as drive reduction theory of reward (Coon, 2010). In their book, Personality and
Psychotherapy, Miller and Dollard also researched the stimulus response reinforcement theory. While
they were researching this theory, Miller and Dollard used a laxer version of this theory to analyze the
human personality and everything that it consists of (Bower, 2011). In order to gain a better
understanding of this theory in terms of personality, psychotherapy and psychoneuroses, Miller and
Dollard incorporated ideas of Sigmund Freud s theory of psychoanalysis. (Bower,

Summary Of Junot Diaz s Instructional Manual
An individual s identity is strongly influenced by their ethnic background and the environment that
surrounded them. Due to this, a majority of the world will perceive a person differently and create
stereotypes, which then compels them to treat others differently in order to accommodate to that
person. In Junot Diaz s instructional manual, How to date a brown girl (black girl, white girl, or halfie)
, he depicts different scenarios of dates in the perspective of a boy who is Latino and from the Terrace,
a ghetto neighborhood. He talks about the different ways to treat a girl based on their race and what
neighborhood they came from, as well as the various reactions each kind of girl will make. He
categorizes an insider as Latino or someone ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In the same situation of possibly meeting the boy s acquaintance, an outsider will choose to react
contrary to an insider, as described by the narrator, If the girl s an outsider she will hiss and say, What
a f*** asshole (Diaz 2). By doing this, she is being more conservative about her actions towards
people who come from a different neighborhood than her, because an outsider should not create a
situation that they will not be able to handle. Moreover, by being an outsider, she feels intimidated
visiting an area where she is not familiar with the people and the environment. Furthermore, even
before meeting, an outsider s parents will feel discomfort taking their daughter to an unfamiliar area,
as the narrator claims, Neither of them want her seeing any boys from the Terrace (Diaz 1). Compared
to an insider that is accustomed to the Terrace, an outsider has difficulty being comfortable in this area
because they are used to being insiders in their own neighborhood, not in a different one. Even the
narrator can see that encountering others from the Terrace makes an outsider feel somewhat uneasy,
considering they are not familiar with the people. So due to the fact that they feel insecure staying
within this environment displays how they are seen as outsiders to those who live in the

The Impact Of The San Francisco Earthquake Of 1906
The San Francisco Earthquake of 1906 and Recovery.
What did the people of San Francisco suffer after the earthquake of 1906? In order to answer this
question, we need to know what the San Francisco earthquake was. The San Francisco earthquake
happened in 1906 with a magnitude of 7.8 and caused a fire that burned for 7 days. This was the
biggest recorded earthquake in San Francisco. The foreshock started at 5:12am and 25 seconds later
the earthquake started that lasted 40 to 60 seconds, with most San Franciscans asleep in rooms, they
became trapped with only their hope to save them. The earthquake and fire of San Francisco in 1906
will go down as one of the worst earthquakes in the United States history. It s after affects can still be
felt in the California area.
The San Francisco earthquake caused quite a lot of damage in the area, but what is an earthquake? An
earthquake is the movement of tectonic plates along a transform boundary and what plate is California
sitting on? The Pacific Plate which is not connected to the North American plate and the plate
boundary is a transform boundary. Earthquakes occur so often there that people say it is like a
rainstorm that is ignored. The place where the Pacific Plate is grinding along with the North American
Plate is called the San Andreas Fault. As stated before the earthquake had a magnitude of 7.8 which
caused so much destruction a fire broke out. Nobody really knows where the fire started but it burned
for 7 days and scorched over 500 city blocks leaving the once proud and powerful city into dust. The
combination of the earthquake and fire is said to have killed Over 700 deaths by the earthquake and
fire is now believed to be an understatement the total loss of life by a factor of 3 or 4. (The Great 1906
San Francisco Earthquake.)
Even before the earthquake people saw suspicious things with animals. For example, Lisa A.
Chippendale in her book The San Francisco Earthquake of 1906, quoted Sergeant Cook who stated
The horses seemed skittish, frequently neighing and nervously pulling at their reins. Many people
were asleep in the time of the shock. By the first shock some shot up and tried to get their clothes on,
but their struggle was in vain, they could

Paul Farmer Partners In Health Summary
Introduction This paper provides an analysis of the work of Paul Farmer, and the members of Partners
in Health exemplifies the three fields of medical anthropology (ecological epidemiological, critical
and interpretive). This paper hypothesizes that diseases can be caused by various factors while the
other factors that are mentioned in this paper are associated with the cause. Ecological
epidemiological This is the approach in medical anthropology that analysis how the ecology or the
natural environment cause or are related to specific health issues or diseases for that matter. The
conditions under which the people in Haiti lived helped Farmer explain how health issues arise (Vine,
2013). Population pressure due to displacement led to congested ... Show more content on

Different cultural groups have different ways of defining various diseases and other health issues.
Farmer argues that the people in Haiti and India have various cultures that may define some of their
health issues. Farmer explained that this approach helped him determine how the diseases occurred
based on the cultural definitions of these cultures. The members of Partners Health also argued that
some of the cultural meanings such as childbirth could highly determine the health issues experienced
in a certain ethnical group. This means that the occurrence of certain diseases is linked with the
meanings that the specific cultural group associates with it. Conclusion The above discussions shows
how Farmer and the members of Partners in Health tried to exemplify the three fields of medical
anthropology; ecological epidemiological, critical and interpretive approaches. This is however not to
state these as the causes of these health issues or diseases. They are however some of the contributing
or associated factors to these health issues. Each of these approaches helps anthropologists come up
with the various causes or factors associated with health issues in certain

Essay Starting A Spark

Having courage isn t the same as having no fear. It s being afraid and pushing forward anyway.
Although spoken by a fictional character, Hiccup Horrendous Haddock III from Dreamworks
Dragons, this quote holds a very real truth. This truth is especially evident in the lives of siblings Hans
and Sophie Scholl, founders of a peaceful anti Nazi group in Germany called The White Rose. After
realizing the errors of Hitler s ways, they started writing anonymous leaflets to expose him, which
they knew could cause them a lot of trouble. Despite the looming danger of an entire nation pining
against them, the Scholls persevered courageously to make a difference in their own setting in a way
that inspires me to do the same. In the 1930s, German teenagers everywhere were joining the Hitler
Youth, a movement designed to separate the weak children from the strong adults, as it were. Hitler

Among the good natured types is moral courage. Moral courage is being persistent in the face of
adversity when everyone else is against what you know is right. This can be manifested in a variety of
ways. It can be as trivial as standing up to a bully or as extreme as going up against an entire nation to
spread a message it does not want to hear. The White Rose knew that Hitler was wrong, yet the wool
had been pulled so thickly over everyone s eyes, that it would take far too long to remove it all before
the authorities exterminated the bugs trying to undo their work. Even so, the White Rose knew that all
it takes is a spark to start an inferno. As little progress as it may have seemed they made, it graduated
into something phenomenal. In the words of Sophie Scholl, Somebody, after all, had to make a start.

The American Rocky and the Russian Machine Drago
Americans may be altruistic, but we Russians are winners. My arrogant trainer wants me to win for
himself and Mother Russia, and not for me. My wife disparages all Americans as if they are
undeserving, worthless humans. They continuously tell me to stay taciturn, but I know deep down that
I should voice my opinion. That American Rocky is the antithesis of the Russian machine Drago.
When I am done with him, his face will be crenelated. It was a given that the fight promoters would
always try to embellish a fight, but this fight needed no extra promotion or incentive to come. The
whole world would be watching. I have laud Rocky for his story. He came from nothing and now is
here with one of the most powerful men in the world. With all of Russia counting on me, and all of
America counting on Rocky, I knew the match would be anything but subtle. The fight was given the
superfluous name of World War III . When I killed Apollo Creed in the ring, I felt no discern for what
I had done. All I could think was how proud I had made my country. Not that I had just murdered a
man. As the press promoted the fight more and more, my disdain for all of America grew.
Rocky is known for his amazing abilities, but I am afraid this will be the defamation of him. They told

People Are Good At Heart In Anne Frank
The theme in Anne Frank that all people are good at heart is strongly affected by the characters. Some
of the characters that affect it the most are Anne, Mr. Van Daan, and Miep Gies and Mr. Kraler. They
either affect it negatively or positively as we will found out. The theme people are good at heart is a
theme everybody should relate to in someway. Anne is one of the people that impacts the theme in a
very positive way. Anne is a person who always looks at the better side of things in an situation. Even
though they are forced to go into hiding for multiple years, she talks of what she wants to do when
they get out. This has a great affect on the rest of the people in the annex. It gives them motivation and
keeps their spirits up. She also is very thoughtful and helpful. For instance, she was always helping
people and giving them gifts all through out act one. In act two, she said that she always thought
positively and never negatively. She would then pass that attitude on to the adults that were scared for

Kraler also had a positive impact on the theme. They are the ones who accepted them and helped hide

bodies around them, they pose a significant contamination risk. Locating a resourceful site, providing
facilities along with industrial waste and operational management practices are needed to minimize
this risk.
The most commonly affecting industrial waste includes petroleum hydrocarbons, heavy metals,
surfactants, toxins and/or salts, which pollute surrounding water bodies, making them unsuitable for
most of the water needs and harming the aquatic life therein. Algal blooms and oxygen deficit are the
result of excessive nutrients found in the waters.
Industrial wastes are also known to pollute underground water too which increase the cost and risk of
cleaning/treating sewage. Industrial pollutants such as oxygen scavengers may corrode pipes and
equipment in the sewerage collection system and in treatment plants. Greases and suspended matter
can cause pipe blockages and odors.

Temperature And Pressure Measurements Of An Ideal Gas
Temperature and Pressure Measurements of an Ideal Gas
That Is Heated in a Closed Container
Introduction
This report discusses an experiment to study the relationship of temperature and pressure of an ideal
gas (air) that was heated in a closed container. Because the ideal gas was in a closed container, its
volume remained constant. The objective of the experiment is to test whether the ideal equation of
state holds. In the equation,
pV = mRT,
where p is the pressure the gas, V is the volume, m is the mass, R is a constant, and T is temperature.
This report presents the procedures for the experiment, the experiment s results, and an analysis of
those results.
Procedures
In this experiment, air (an ideal gas) was heated in a pressure vessel with a volume of 1 liter. Attached
to this pressure vessel was a pressure transducer and thermocouple to measure the pressure and the
temperature, respectively, of the air inside the vessel. Both of these transducers produced voltage
signals (in Volts) that were calibrated to the pressure (kPa) and temperature (K) of the air (the
atmospheric pressure for where the experiment occurred is assumed to be 13.6 psia). In addition, the
theoretical temperature (K) of air was calculated as a function of the measured pressured values (kPa).
Results and Discussion
This section analyses the results of the experiment. The experiment went as expected with no unusual
events that would have introduced error. The voltages as measured

Sharon Narrated The Emotional Abuse
Service type: Information/advice/referral 1. Housing: Sharon narrated the emotional abuse she is
receiving by her housemate. Sharon stated to be afraid of Vanessa not only because she uses alcohol
and smoke marijuana, but also because she suffers from a mood disorder and she can be at times
verbal abuse. In addition, Vanessa s son also uses drugs and brings friends inside the house that are
affected by drugs. Sharon spends most of the time in her room and when she is in the kitchen, Vanessa
gives her bad looks and criticised her. Last week Sharon had enough and gave Vanessa four weeks
notice, this had put Sharon in a difficult situation, as she needs to find another place to leave. 2.

The Threat Of Food Sources
THREAT TO FOOD SOURCES
Climate change doesn t just mean that certain species will suffer from the loss of habitat. There will be
a cascade effect up and down the food chain, affecting the most basic species of prey and apex
predators alike. Dominant predators with a strong preference for a carnivorous diet are arguably more
vulnerable to destruction of their environments. If the prey population suffers, it directly affects the
survival of the predators that depend on them. Polar bears have an especially focused diet, and seals
are their prefered prey. Interestingly, the milk produced by polar bear mothers is more similar to that
of pinnipeds (seals) than it is to milk of most terrestrial mammals (Amstrup, 599). Like polar bears,
several species of seal depend on a reliable presence of sea ice in order to breed (Derocher 2004, p.
168). A dwindling seal population will almost certainly affect polar bears.
Polar bears are unique from their omnivorous cousins in that they have adapted to an arctic climate
with a specialized diet. Ringed seals make up the majority of their diet, along with other species of
seal, whales, and walruses (Thiemann 2008, p. 591). Although I have previously argued here is some
hope that polar bears can adapt to different food sources like geese and caribou, further research
indicates that a diet of land animals such as geese and their eggs is a poor substitute. First of all, the
list of prey I mentioned all have one thing in common: A thick

activities perceived as having a high level of inherent danger. These activities often involve speed,
height, high level of physical exertion, highly specialized gear or spectacular stunts. At present date,
there are no careful studies or statistics of deaths to separate activities with low or normal level of
danger from those with high level of danger. While use of the term extreme sport has spread far and

debatable. There are however several characteristics common to most extreme sports. Extreme sports

Difficulties In Teaching Pronunciation
Most of English teachers tend to teach their non native students grammar rules and vocabulary, get
them to participate in communicative activities and become qualified in reading and listening. As a
result, teaching pronunciation is not taken into account due to teachers assumption of having a lot to
do rather than focusing on proper pronunciation. Apparently, they claim that students will acquire it
throughout learning. Therefore, there is no need to allocate time for teaching pronunciation.
Accordingly, ESL learners encounter many difficulties in proper pronunciation.
First, we can distinguish between accents and dialect . The former refers to the differences only in
pronunciation that may occur due to geographical differences, social and cultural differences, and
different educational background. The latter indicates the variety of a language, which differs in things
other than pronunciation such as vocabulary, grammar, and word order. We can spot some of the
factors that affect the pronunciation of ESL learners especially Arabs. Accordingly, the interference of
the learners native language and the learner s age can determine the accuracy of his pronunciation; the
younger is he the easier he will master good pronunciation. Further, the amount of exposure to English
exceeds the ability to speak native like English, especially if the learner is living in an English
speaking environment.
From my personal experience, when I was an Arab ESL language learner, my friends

Unlike casual conversations, a relational meeting allows the organizer to connect with others on a
personal level in order to objectively assess the organization and see how it can better serve others. In
addition, relational meetings help the organizer understand negative feelings in the community and

Analysis Of The Book The Minstrel Show
Eleanor W. Traylor begins by explaining the fallacy in thinking that ragtime was the first and foremost
contributor to black theatre art in America. She argues that the source of all that can be called
representative American theatre is Aframerican (47). In other words, she elaborates, there were two
kinds of ceremonies and narratives pervasive to black theatre before ragtime. The minstrel show is one
example. The article stresses that the minstrel show was not invented by white plantation owners, but
that the minstrel show was a failed attempt at satirical imitation. The real minstrel show came from the
Afro American magic circle of creation (Traylor 48). In the same page, she argues that their African
American Minstrel show had its roots in African tradition, specifically, the Yoruba tradition. In this
tradition, the mask is wood until it becomes the mask in motion. Somehow, this mask got translated
into blackface, into a tool for hiding rather than a tool for revealing. The mask used in African
American minstrelsy would reveal the spirit of the mask wearer. Yoruba music would be wholly
original, unusable by their white counterparts because it wasn t wholly understood. The apparatus of
using the wholly spiritual and authentic to create an art that is fully American would evolve over the
centuries until black theatre became what it is during contemporary times. Traylor argues that it is the
only truly American theatre because it was created in America.

Children with attention deficit/hyperactivity (ADHD) disorder are normally at risk for other disorders
such as conduct problems. In fact, ADHD is one of the most robust early predictors of conduct
problems. (Lahey, McBurnett, et al., 2000). These conduct problems can turn into adverse outcomes
such as criminality and substance abuse among others. ADHD is defined by the Diagnostic and
Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (5th ed.; DSM V; American Psychiatric Association, 2013) as
developmentally impulsive behaviors, inappropriate inattention, and motor activity that cause
impairment in social and academic functioning. While little is known about early predictors of the

An Analysis Of James Farmer s Freedom Rides
A hero is someone who will sacrifice themselves, or go out of their way to help people, without
expecting something in return. James Farmer was a true hero because he did all of these things. James
Farmer believed in equality amongst all people, whether they were black, white, female, or male. His
philosophy was that people are not to be defined by what they are but to be defined as who they are.
This philosophy led to the creation of Freedom Rides, in 1961. Freedom Rides were a nonviolent
effort in which blacks and whites, who believed in equality, would get together and sit on a bus in the
South, a place where blacks were not welcome, to desegregate long distance buses and bus terminals
in the South. This was not the first non violent

Volcano, Volcanic Volcano And Volcanic Ash
A volcano is a rupture in the crust of a planetary mass object that allows lava, volcanic ash, and gases
to escape from a magma chamber below the surface. The Earth s crust is made up of huge slabs called
plates, which fit together like a jigsaw puzzle. The friction caused by the plates moving from time to
time results in earthquakes and volcanic eruptions near the edges of the plates.
There are many different types of volcanoes. (Volcanoes: Principal Types of Volcanoes) The most
common are Cinder volcanoes. This type of volcano occurs when particles and blobs of solid lava are
emitted from a single vent in the center. As the gas charged lava is blown violently into the air it
breaks into small fragments that solidify and fall as cinders around the vent to form an oval cone. A
good example of a cinder cone is the Paricutin Volcano in Mexico that grew out of a corn field in
1943. The eruptions continued for 9 years and built the cone to a height of 424 meters.
Another type of volcano is the Composite volcanoes also known as Stratovolcano. These are steep
sided volcanoes composed of many layers of volcanic rocks, usually made from high viscosity lava,
ash and rock debris. Famous examples of composite cones are Mayon Volcano in Philippines, Mount
Fuji in Japan, and Mount Rainier in U.S.A.
Then we have, shield volcanoes that are shaped like a warrior s shield in the middle with long gentle
slopes made by basaltic lava flows. This is very fluid lava, usually from multiple vents

The Ethics Of Cigarette Smoking In The United States
The United States of America is a country who wants the best for its people. For centuries we have
been a melting pot of immigrants and people have come here to pursue a better life. America cares for
its citizens and looks out for their best interests. One of the many ways this is done is by the banning
of harmful substances. When something is deemed overly harmful we ban it to stop our citizens from
using it and therefore protect them. This is done when drugs such as LSD are banned or firearms
without a proper permit are not permitted. One substance this is not done with is tobacco. Tobacco is
harmful and causes death. Cigarette smoking is responsible for over 400,000 deaths a year in the
United States. There are no benefits to smoking tobacco, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
First of all, then and now many people are addicted to cigarettes and dismantling the industry would
not have completely ended the sale of cigarettes in the United States. Surely, some sort of bootleg
cigarette industry would have taken off. Nonetheless, with the dismantling of the industry cigarette
advertising would no longer be a thing. Without advertising, less and less people would have taken up
the habit, therefore saving lives. Also, due to the illegality of cigarettes sales prices would have
skyrocketed in the black market for them. Due to the increased costs and difficulty of getting
cigarettes, again, more people would have quit the habit. As far as the economy is concerned, ending
cigarette sales would have had negative effects. However, we would have bounced back. New
innovations would have taken off and all would have eventually been fine. Saving the lives of millions
of people would have been worth a couple of years of economic trouble. Also, speaking of the
economy, it would have been easier to be done in 1964 because it was in later years that cigarette
companies diversified and had their hands in many aspects of everyday American

Black To Reality Play Analysis
BACK TO REALITY combines comedy with drama. It s a story that sends a strong message about
learning to appreciate life and that money can t buy happiness. These themes resonate well with the
mainstream audience.
While the message is solid, the overall script would benefit from more development. The areas to re
examine include the structure, tension, and character development.
The opening does a good job of establishing Dan s ordinary world. He s established as being a loser
and he s pretty unhappy with his life.
There are solid inciting events that are the catalyst for change for Dan. The first is when he finds his
wife cheating on him. The only concern about this scene is that it feels like a familiar scene that has
been done before when the husband or the wife comes home early to find their cheating spouse.
The other inciting event is when Dan wins the lottery, but the idea of the lottery isn t well setup or
foreshadowed. Thus, it s a bit jarring to suddenly learn he has a lottery ticket and that s it s the
winning lottery ticket.
However, even after he wins the lottery, the script doesn t define any real goal for Dan. There s no
actionable or external goal for Dan to achieve. Without a strong goal for the protagonist, the plot feels
as if it has no clear direction. If the goal is for Dan to win his wife back then the second act ... Show

Summary Of Brunelleschi s Dome
Throughout the book Brunelleschi s Dome, Filippo has to overcome others to make his ideas become
a reality. First he loses the bronze door competition to his competition Lorenzo. Then he has to fight
against the Opera del Duomo to allow his model to be used for the Dome. He continued to fight for he
designs with trying to flood Lucca, and building II Badalone, both being fails. After those fails, and
the Domes set backs, the Opera began to lose faith in Filippo, but that wouldn t stop him. He
continued to be in charge of building the Dome, and later designing the lanterns after having Antonio
steal his ideas. Filippo had a problem with communicating to others. He feared that they would steal
his ideas and claim them as their own, so he never told anyone anything. He keeps all his notes coded
and only shared the very minimal with his friends. This allowed him an upper hand above his
competition. It made it difficult for others to reproduce his work, let alone understand how he came up
with the ideas he had, making much of his work a mystery.
The authors aims were to educate the reader upon the history of the Dome and to show how it was
built, why it was an amazing feat, and why Filippo was an ingenious architecture. King achieved his
aims very well. Through out the book, he expressed the importance of Filippo and everything that he
did. King tells about how Filippo built and designed the Dome. He supported the claim that Filippo
was before his time, and that no one could duplicate his work; A proud Florentine, Michelangelo
claimed that he could equal it, Filippo s dome but never surprises it. In fact, he did not even equal it...
(Page 163)
King s writing was both fair and accurate. He seemed to have done lots of research, and written only
the facts that had been proven. When he did write anything that seemed a little exaggerated, he would
always source the statement making sure the reader knew that he was only stating what someone else
said, not the complete truth. King also shows both sides of the story. He gives all characters an equal
chance to prove themselves. As seen best with Lorenzo, King praises him first with Lorenzo s doors,
but then he expresses Lorenzo s incompetence towards the wooden

The Role Of Women s Video Games
When discussing the role of women in video games, it is important to establish what an acceptable
female character is. An acceptable female character has her own motivations that are not dependent on
a male character, is not overtly sexualized, and has a multi dimensional personality. A well written
female character has a storyline that is independent of other male characters and does not serve to
further male storylines. The Last of Us, developed by Naughty Dog, follows Joel as he leads Ellie, a
young girl, across a post apocalyptic world. Ellie, rather than existing as a tool to further Joel s man

Alexandra Neonakis, part of the team that created the game, states that these are some of the most
important plot points (JAMSTEW, 2015). The story itself focuses on the fact that she may contain the
cure to the infection that has riddled the United States, turning people into a zombie like state. While
some may see the relationship of Joel and Ellie as merely Joel using Ellie for his own purposes, it is
more of a mutual relationship. With the influence of Joel and other factors, Ellie goes on a journey
from a damsel in distress to a fully capable and complex character , states Neonakis (JAMSTEW,
2015). The game attempted to showcase a relationship between man and women where each needed

  • 2. Canadian Prime Minister s Power The prime minister has a significant amount of power within the Canadian government. Some of the sources of the prime minister s powers are the number of seats in the House of Commons he and his party has, his ability to give push/give priority to certain government agendas, and his ability to appoint different governmental positions. For a politician to hold the office of PM his party must hold the majority of the seats in the house; this means that by convention his party must be in solidarity with his decisions, which gives the PM s the loyal support of his party. Another power of the PM is the ability to put forward government agendas that they believe should be prioritized. The PM also has the ability to appoint people who they believe ... • 3. Lars Brownworth Lost To The West Summary Once a Frankish king, Charlemagne was declared the ruler of the Holy Roman Empire in the West by Pope Leo III, whom he defended in a vicious legal battle (153). This, of course, incited fury in the East, as the Pope did not truly possess this authority, causing the divide between the Eastern and Western Christianity to grow further and become more volatile (154). Consequently, when Charlemagne sent a marriage proposal to Irene and Irene considered accepting, her subjects quickly overthrew her (154). As invaders continued to flood the Byzantine Empire, faith in Iconoclasm finally shattered and the destruction of icons was officially condemned (158 158). Subsequently, under the rule of Emperor Theophilus, the East experienced an unparalleled ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... • 4. Modernization Of A Poor Communist Country Introduction China s thirty year run of almost 10% GDP growth is legendary and there are many reasons for this phenomenal growth. The journey of a poor communist country of the 1950s to a world economic superpower today reads like a novel comprised of economic plots and sub plots along the way. After the establishment of the People s Republic of China in 1949, the country started on the path to industrialisation in earnest. The hallmarks of industrialization were the consolidation of socialist governance and increased control over the domestic migration of labour, which paved the way for the administration of the planned economy. This dramatic system of economic reform has benefited China in many ways. However, there are still a number of issues which the country needs to address if it wants to maintain long term economic stability. 1952 to 1978 In the 1950s China had a meagre national growth rate of 3%. To speed up the industrialization process the government increased investment in heavy industries such as steel, concrete and heavy machinery. The growth that happened during this period was more a result of increase in physical and human capital than an increase in productive efficiency. The production activities of State enterprises were determined according to the government plan rather than market signals. The State enterprises were inefficient, employed redundant workers (as mandated by the socialist state system), and there was little market demand for the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

In Chicago it was 700 people who suffered with respiratory problems. It is estimated that if the warming is increased by two degree in Atlanta results in heat related deaths. Some researchers stated that blaming activities of human being for destruction is not at all true. They explained that life has evolved 400 million ago and the amount of co2 was more than 10 times than now and it had decreased time to time. By this they stated that the human activity is not merely the main cause. Some researchers argued that human activities and natural process has increased the greenhouse gases. Increase in carbon in air and climate change both have an effect in health sector. The consumption of food which is contaminated with carbons and inhaling the air has increased the body mass. The changes in climate has shown the stress to the mankind like the disasters which is facing today by the environment. Increase in weather ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 6. Social And Economic Effects Of Bacon s Rebellion Bacon s Rebellion and its aftermath transformed Virginia s social and economic order by speeding along the adoption of slavery as a primary means of labor. Nathaniel Bacon rallied ex indentured servants and poor frontiersman against the colonial government. These people were forced to take less desirable land on the outskirts of the colony where [...] they lived under the constant threat of potentially hostile Native Americans (Bacon s Rebellion NBC). Bacon, frustrated with the apathy of the government to address Indian aggression, lead his band of followers and indiscriminately attacked Native Americans. Royal Governor Sir William Berkely refused to sanction these attacks and declared Bacon a rebel, sending 300 militiamen to drag him to Jamestown for trial (Nash ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Indentured servants were a limited resource as they would eventually become free. The non slaves became more intransigent and apt to resist the efforts of the ruling class s economic and political subjugation upon them. Southern planters began to look toward the African slave trade as a reliable source of controllable labor. The economic power of England was rising and helped to increase the level of slave purchasing and selling. The influx of white indentured servants from England into Virginia drastically decreased which only accelerated the adoption of slavery. African slaves were a more easily controlled and exploited labor pool. By the 1730s, the number of white indentured servants had dwindled to insignificance (Nash, 60). When considering the legacy of Bacon s Rebellion upon the transformation of Virginia, and beyond, this event in history demonstrated that poor whites and poor blacks could be united in a cause. This was a great fear of the ruling class what would prevent the poor from uniting to fight them? This fear hastened the transition to racial slavery (Africans in ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Thank you so much. But I m still paying for you this. I can t not, in good conscience. Leorio waved him off. Do me a favor, yea? Kurapika blinked. Y yes? Eat your salmon, okay? It s not good to waste food. Kurapika glanced, startled, down at his plate, where a perfectly grilled piece of salmon rested on a bed of rice pilaf, steamed veggies nestled beside it. He honestly couldn t remember when was the last time he d eaten; these days, he rarely felt very hungry. And you think I sound like a mom, Kurapika grumbled, but he picked up his fork and began to eat anyway; the fish was lukewarm now, but it was so good, and Kurapika surprised himself by wolfing the whole thing down. Associate Professor of Psychological Science Neal Miller John Dollard Neal Miller, a well known psychologist, was an important theorist who dedicated a lot of time and effort into studying the work of Sigmund Freud and Clark Hull. Miller became interested in Clark Hull s work on his study of classical conditioning (Coon, 2010). While at Yale University, Miller joined John Dollard and several other individuals to write the book Frustration and Aggression (Coon, 2010). As well as those four factors, Dollard and Miller discussed their version of Hull s drive reduction hypothesis as drive reduction theory of reward (Coon, 2010). In their book, Personality and Psychotherapy, Miller and Dollard also researched the stimulus response reinforcement theory. While they were researching this theory, Miller and Dollard used a laxer version of this theory to analyze the human personality and everything that it consists of (Bower, 2011). Due to this, a majority of the world will perceive a person differently and create stereotypes, which then compels them to treat others differently in order to accommodate to that person. In Junot Diaz s instructional manual, How to date a brown girl (black girl, white girl, or halfie) , he depicts different scenarios of dates in the perspective of a boy who is Latino and from the Terrace, a ghetto neighborhood. In the same situation of possibly meeting the boy s acquaintance, an outsider will choose to react contrary to an insider, as described by the narrator, If the girl s an outsider she will hiss and say, What a f*** asshole (Diaz 2). Moreover, by being an outsider, she feels intimidated visiting an area where she is not familiar with the people and the environment. Furthermore, even before meeting, an outsider s parents will feel discomfort taking their daughter to an unfamiliar area, as the narrator claims, Neither of them want her seeing any boys from the Terrace (Diaz 1). Compared to an insider that is accustomed to the Terrace, an outsider has difficulty being comfortable in this area because they are used to being insiders in their own neighborhood, not in a different one. • 14. The Impact Of The San Francisco Earthquake Of 1906 The San Francisco Earthquake of 1906 and Recovery. What did the people of San Francisco suffer after the earthquake of 1906? In order to answer this question, we need to know what the San Francisco earthquake was. The San Francisco earthquake happened in 1906 with a magnitude of 7.8 and caused a fire that burned for 7 days. This was the biggest recorded earthquake in San Francisco. The foreshock started at 5:12am and 25 seconds later the earthquake started that lasted 40 to 60 seconds, with most San Franciscans asleep in rooms, they became trapped with only their hope to save them. The earthquake and fire of San Francisco in 1906 will go down as one of the worst earthquakes in the United States history. It s after affects can still be felt in the California area. The San Francisco earthquake caused quite a lot of damage in the area, but what is an earthquake? An earthquake is the movement of tectonic plates along a transform boundary and what plate is California sitting on? The Pacific Plate which is not connected to the North American plate and the plate boundary is a transform boundary. Earthquakes occur so often there that people say it is like a rainstorm that is ignored. The place where the Pacific Plate is grinding along with the North American Plate is called the San Andreas Fault. As stated before the earthquake had a magnitude of 7.8 which caused so much destruction a fire broke out. Nobody really knows where the fire started but it burned for 7 days and scorched over 500 city blocks leaving the once proud and powerful city into dust. The combination of the earthquake and fire is said to have killed Over 700 deaths by the earthquake and fire is now believed to be an understatement the total loss of life by a factor of 3 or 4. (The Great 1906 San Francisco Earthquake.) Even before the earthquake people saw suspicious things with animals. For example, Lisa A. Chippendale in her book The San Francisco Earthquake of 1906, quoted Sergeant Cook who stated The horses seemed skittish, frequently neighing and nervously pulling at their reins. Ecological epidemiological This is the approach in medical anthropology that analysis how the ecology or the natural environment cause or are related to specific health issues or diseases for that matter. The conditions under which the people in Haiti lived helped Farmer explain how health issues arise (Vine, 2013). Population pressure due to displacement led to congested ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Different cultural groups have different ways of defining various diseases and other health issues. Farmer argues that the people in Haiti and India have various cultures that may define some of their health issues. Farmer explained that this approach helped him determine how the diseases occurred based on the cultural definitions of these cultures. The members of Partners Health also argued that some of the cultural meanings such as childbirth could highly determine the health issues experienced in a certain ethnical group. This means that the occurrence of certain diseases is linked with the meanings that the specific cultural group associates with it. Conclusion The above discussions shows how Farmer and the members of Partners in Health tried to exemplify the three fields of medical anthropology; ecological epidemiological, critical and interpretive approaches. This is however not to state these as the causes of these health issues or diseases. They are however some of the contributing or associated factors to these health issues. Although spoken by a fictional character, Hiccup Horrendous Haddock III from Dreamworks Dragons, this quote holds a very real truth. This truth is especially evident in the lives of siblings Hans and Sophie Scholl, founders of a peaceful anti Nazi group in Germany called The White Rose. After realizing the errors of Hitler s ways, they started writing anonymous leaflets to expose him, which they knew could cause them a lot of trouble. Despite the looming danger of an entire nation pining against them, the Scholls persevered courageously to make a difference in their own setting in a way that inspires me to do the same. The White Rose knew that Hitler was wrong, yet the wool had been pulled so thickly over everyone s eyes, that it would take far too long to remove it all before the authorities exterminated the bugs trying to undo their work. Even so, the White Rose knew that all it takes is a spark to start an inferno. As little progress as it may have seemed they made, it graduated into something phenomenal. • 22. The Industrial Waste Management Practices INTRODUCTION: Huge plants which operate in the industry of light, chemicals and other heavy industries, although providing substantial employment and improving the economy, contribute to a lot of aquatic pollution . Unless the industrial waste management practices are regulated and monitored for sensitive water bodies around them, they pose a significant contamination risk. Locating a resourceful site, providing facilities along with industrial waste and operational management practices are needed to minimize this risk. The most commonly affecting industrial waste includes petroleum hydrocarbons, heavy metals, surfactants, toxins and/or salts, which pollute surrounding water bodies, making them unsuitable for most of the water needs and harming the aquatic life therein. Algal blooms and oxygen deficit are the result of excessive nutrients found in the waters. Industrial wastes are also known to pollute underground water too which increase the cost and risk of cleaning/treating sewage. Industrial pollutants such as oxygen scavengers may corrode pipes and equipment in the sewerage collection system and in treatment plants. Greases and suspended matter can cause pipe blockages and odors. Temperature And Pressure Measurements Of An Ideal Gas Temperature and Pressure Measurements of an Ideal Gas That Is Heated in a Closed Container Introduction This report discusses an experiment to study the relationship of temperature and pressure of an ideal gas (air) that was heated in a closed container. Because the ideal gas was in a closed container, its volume remained constant. The objective of the experiment is to test whether the ideal equation of state holds. In the equation, pV = mRT, where p is the pressure the gas, V is the volume, m is the mass, R is a constant, and T is temperature. This report presents the procedures for the experiment, the experiment s results, and an analysis of those results. Procedures In this experiment, air (an ideal gas) was heated in a pressure vessel with a volume of 1 liter. Attached to this pressure vessel was a pressure transducer and thermocouple to measure the pressure and the temperature, respectively, of the air inside the vessel. Both of these transducers produced voltage signals (in Volts) that were calibrated to the pressure (kPa) and temperature (K) of the air (the atmospheric pressure for where the experiment occurred is assumed to be 13.6 psia). In addition, the theoretical temperature (K) of air was calculated as a function of the measured pressured values (kPa). Results and Discussion This section analyses the results of the experiment. • 25. The Threat Of Food Sources THREAT TO FOOD SOURCES Climate change doesn t just mean that certain species will suffer from the loss of habitat. There will be a cascade effect up and down the food chain, affecting the most basic species of prey and apex predators alike. Dominant predators with a strong preference for a carnivorous diet are arguably more vulnerable to destruction of their environments. If the prey population suffers, it directly affects the survival of the predators that depend on them. Polar bears have an especially focused diet, and seals are their prefered prey. Interestingly, the milk produced by polar bear mothers is more similar to that of pinnipeds (seals) than it is to milk of most terrestrial mammals (Amstrup, 599). Like polar bears, several species of seal depend on a reliable presence of sea ice in order to breed (Derocher 2004, p. 168). A dwindling seal population will almost certainly affect polar bears. Polar bears are unique from their omnivorous cousins in that they have adapted to an arctic climate with a specialized diet. Ringed seals make up the majority of their diet, along with other species of seal, whales, and walruses (Thiemann 2008, p. 591). Although I have previously argued here is some hope that polar bears can adapt to different food sources like geese and caribou, further research indicates that a diet of land animals such as geese and their eggs is a poor substitute. Difficulties In Teaching Pronunciation Most of English teachers tend to teach their non native students grammar rules and vocabulary, get them to participate in communicative activities and become qualified in reading and listening. As a result, teaching pronunciation is not taken into account due to teachers assumption of having a lot to do rather than focusing on proper pronunciation. Apparently, they claim that students will acquire it throughout learning. Therefore, there is no need to allocate time for teaching pronunciation. Accordingly, ESL learners encounter many difficulties in proper pronunciation. First, we can distinguish between accents and dialect . The former refers to the differences only in pronunciation that may occur due to geographical differences, social and cultural differences, and different educational background. The latter indicates the variety of a language, which differs in things other than pronunciation such as vocabulary, grammar, and word order. • 32. Analysis Of The Book The Minstrel Show Eleanor W. Traylor begins by explaining the fallacy in thinking that ragtime was the first and foremost contributor to black theatre art in America. She argues that the source of all that can be called representative American theatre is Aframerican (47). In other words, she elaborates, there were two kinds of ceremonies and narratives pervasive to black theatre before ragtime. The minstrel show is one example. The article stresses that the minstrel show was not invented by white plantation owners, but that the minstrel show was a failed attempt at satirical imitation. The real minstrel show came from the Afro American magic circle of creation (Traylor 48). In the same page, she argues that their African American Minstrel show had its roots in African tradition, specifically, the Yoruba tradition. In this tradition, the mask is wood until it becomes the mask in motion. Somehow, this mask got translated into blackface, into a tool for hiding rather than a tool for revealing. The mask used in African American minstrelsy would reveal the spirit of the mask wearer. Yoruba music would be wholly original, unusable by their white counterparts because it wasn t wholly understood. The apparatus of using the wholly spiritual and authentic to create an art that is fully American would evolve over the centuries until black theatre became what it is during contemporary times. Traylor argues that it is the only truly American theatre because it was created in America. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Volcano, Volcanic Volcano And Volcanic Ash A volcano is a rupture in the crust of a planetary mass object that allows lava, volcanic ash, and gases to escape from a magma chamber below the surface. The Earth s crust is made up of huge slabs called plates, which fit together like a jigsaw puzzle. The friction caused by the plates moving from time to time results in earthquakes and volcanic eruptions near the edges of the plates. There are many different types of volcanoes. (Volcanoes: Principal Types of Volcanoes) The most common are Cinder volcanoes. This type of volcano occurs when particles and blobs of solid lava are emitted from a single vent in the center. As the gas charged lava is blown violently into the air it breaks into small fragments that solidify and fall as cinders around the vent to form an oval cone. A good example of a cinder cone is the Paricutin Volcano in Mexico that grew out of a corn field in 1943. The eruptions continued for 9 years and built the cone to a height of 424 meters. Another type of volcano is the Composite volcanoes also known as Stratovolcano. These are steep sided volcanoes composed of many layers of volcanic rocks, usually made from high viscosity lava, ash and rock debris. Famous examples of composite cones are Mayon Volcano in Philippines, Mount Fuji in Japan, and Mount Rainier in U.S.A. First he loses the bronze door competition to his competition Lorenzo. Then he has to fight against the Opera del Duomo to allow his model to be used for the Dome. He continued to fight for he designs with trying to flood Lucca, and building II Badalone, both being fails. After those fails, and the Domes set backs, the Opera began to lose faith in Filippo, but that wouldn t stop him. He continued to be in charge of building the Dome, and later designing the lanterns after having Antonio steal his ideas. Filippo had a problem with communicating to others. He feared that they would steal his ideas and claim them as their own, so he never told anyone anything. He keeps all his notes coded and only shared the very minimal with his friends. This allowed him an upper hand above his competition. It made it difficult for others to reproduce his work, let alone understand how he came up with the ideas he had, making much of his work a mystery. The authors aims were to educate the reader upon the history of the Dome and to show how it was built, why it was an amazing feat, and why Filippo was an ingenious architecture. King achieved his aims very well. Through out the book, he expressed the importance of Filippo and everything that he did. King tells about how Filippo built and designed the Dome. He supported the claim that Filippo was before his time, and that no one could duplicate his work; A proud Florentine, Michelangelo claimed that he could equal it, Filippo s dome but never surprises it. In fact, he did not even equal it... (Page 163) King s writing was both fair and accurate. He seemed to have done lots of research, and written only the facts that had been proven. When he did write anything that seemed a little exaggerated, he would always source the statement making sure the reader knew that he was only stating what someone else said, not the complete truth. King also shows both sides of the story. He gives all characters an equal chance to prove themselves. As seen best with Lorenzo, King praises him first with Lorenzo s doors, but then he expresses Lorenzo s incompetence towards the wooden ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The story itself focuses on the fact that she may contain the cure to the infection that has riddled the United States, turning people into a zombie like state. While some may see the relationship of Joel and Ellie as merely Joel using Ellie for his own purposes, it is more of a mutual relationship. With the influence of Joel and other factors, Ellie goes on a journey from a damsel in distress to a fully capable and complex character , states Neonakis (JAMSTEW, 2015).
