2. we are now, living in
IR 4.0
Note #1: The way we live, work, learn and
even play has changed, as well as
competency needed in our new
cyber physical system era. This
evolution needs new way of
education, including in Higher
Education.
“
3. implication for
higher
EDUCATION
1st Curriculum Reorientation
Dynamically adjust the science vision
and signal market (changing skills and
new job needed in IR 4.0). Changing
from content-based to competency
based education 4.0.
“
4. implication for
higher
EDUCATION
2nd New Literacy
University needs to equip students with
new literacy (technology, data and
human literacy) needed in IR 4.0 era.
University as lifelong learners
producer.
“
5. implication for
higher
EDUCATION
3rd New Way of Teaching
Old teaching methods are now obsolete.
We need to try to use new way of
teaching using new contemporary cyber
and digital technology such as
BLENDED LEARNING.
“
6. Changing the Way We
TEACH
Note #2:
Time and space where learning
occurred are changing due to the
changing of new disruptive
technology. That’s why we have to
change the way students learn and
we teach.
“
9. blended
LEARNING
is about four things:
Providing access to make student learn anytime and
anywhere using digital and cyber technology.
Integrating innovative technology as a
response to the development of advance new technology.
Blending appropriate synchronous and asynchronous
learning strategies.
Connecting students with global experts and learning
resources.
10. applying new model of
INSTRUCTIONAL
DESIGN
Note #3: Learning outcome first …
“
Start from the end. Grant Wigins & McThige’s
UbD or Backward Design Model is one of
instructional design model appropriate for our
new way of teaching in IR 4.0 era. Once we
determine the desired learning outcome and
relevant evidences, then we can determine the
right blend of learning experiences.
11. do not sacrifice the
effectiveness for the
shake of efficiency!
