The U. S. And Turkey
Consequences the 2016 Coup brought to The U.S. and Turkey
Historically, relations between the United States and Turkey were formed through mutual respect and
interest. The first U.S. interaction dates to 1831, when the United States established diplomatic
relations with the Ottoman Empire (the U.S. Department of State) in 1831 through the formal act of
diplomatic recognition between the countries. The friendship was strengthened in the early 1900s as
the United States was elevated to Embassy status in 1906. During World War I, however, the U.S.
broke the neutrality and declared war against Germany, a prime ally of the Ottoman Empire for
Central Powers. This incident caused a severity in the diplomatic relations between the U.S. and the ...

However, the state of the contemporary relationship has been unstable through events and the rising
anti American sentiment among Turkish citizens. Despite the U.S. support to Turkey for the security
of the Middle East region and the corresponding benefits through the bilateral cooperation, the two
countries have currently been through several controversies.
As a safety measure toward the Islamic State, the growing presence of Muslim fundamentalism (ABC
Clio), the U.S. militarily has supported the Kurdish armed force in Syria, a minority ethnic group in
the Middle East, to counter against the IS. However, Turkey claimed that the armed force has a
connection to the Kurdistan Workers Party, which has is designated as a terrorist group by Turkey.
Despite the insistence of the country, the U.S. has not ceased the support, creating a split between the
two countries.
A coup attempted by the Peace Council, a faction of the Turkish army, was the most prime
precipitating event that led the contemporary relationship between the U.S and Turkey into a
confrontation. Since Erdogan inaugurated as the president, the approval rate was remarkably ever
increasing through the strong economic conditions. On the other hand, he strengthened the dictatorial
policy of Islamization in the country. Against the stance, the Turkish army believed in the importance
of the separation of religion and politics, thus the relationship with the

The Funerary Model Of A Pig Sty
Mingqi
For this first paper assignment I have chosen to write my essay on The Funerary Model of a Pig Sty.
This artwork takes place in Ancient China around c. 2nd century BCE. It was designed and used
within the Han Dynasty early in China s history. These clay models like the pig sty and other burial
goods had a hand in furthering the development of Chinas cultural heritage and beliefs. Within this
paper I will be discussing my chosen MIA artwork, works that are similar but different to this artwork,
and also how all three works, although all different, have the same purpose for what they have been
made for. Then finally touching on how the context of the piece can change based on its surroundings.
When one looks at the Funerary model of a ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
(MIA) The roofs are separated into four sections on both rooftops. On the square latrine roofs there are
four triangles. While on the rectangular latrine there are two triangles and two trapezoids for the
rooftops shape. I find that this adds to the depth of the roof giving this piece great detail. One can see
this not just in the structure, but also in the details of the animals found in the pigsty model. For
starters when looking around there are seven animals total. They are a boar or male pig, a dog, a sow
who is feeding her three young piglets, and finally a bird. (MIA) In this particular model each animal
is found doing something known for what that animal does in real life. For example the boar is outside
the pen eating slop by himself out of a bowl. While the dog is above the boar on the walkway lazily
sleeping his day away in what could be the hot sun. As one moves along within the piece and looks
inside the pen one can see a sow that is really doing the most work in this model for she is feeding her
three young piglets right in the middle of the pen. This is okay because her and the piglets are the only
four in the pen causing a feeling of calm to the person looking at the work. Finally we move our eyes
up and see a nest with a bird in it. This bird seems to be stretching his wings or cleaning them minding
its own business. All these individual details make up one

Advances in Liver Transplants
Advances in surgery and immunosuppressive therapy have improved clinical outcomes and
opportunities for liver transplantation among those previously excluded (e.g., older adults) (1). During
the liver allocation system prior to 2002, liver transplant recipients 60 years old were reported to have
promising graft and patient survival rates similar to younger cohorts (1 12).Other published reports
have cited significant mortality and complications among older recipients (13 18), though important
clinical outcomes like functional status have been infrequently studied. (7, 13).
In 2002, the Model for End Stage Liver Disease (MELD) system for liver allocation was implemented
and it resulted in lower waiting list death rates among recipients without changing 1 year graft and
patient survival (19, 20), including those 65 years (21) in comparison to the pre MELD era. However,
functional status and long term clinical outcomes among older liver transplant recipients in the MELD
era are unclear.
Based on the Scientific Registry of Transplant Recipients (SRTR), the number of waitlisted older
adults ( 65 years) for liver transplantation has significantly increased in the past decade from 9.9%
(1,637) in 2001 to 16% (2,460) in 2011 (22). The demand for liver transplantation is expected to
increase with high rates of Hepatitis C infection among individuals born between 1945 1965 who are
at risk for cirrhosis and hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) (23). Given the increasing numbers

Rewards And Rewards For Rewarding Performance
Rewarding Performance There are several different methods for rewarding performance as well but
rewarding performance methods fall into several different categories. There are intrinsic rewards,
extrinsic rewards, financial rewards, non financial rewards, performance based rewards, membership
based rewards, and many other rewards. Intrinsic Rewards Intrinsic rewards consist of the
satisfactions one gets from the job itself or furthermore, when an employee experiences feelings of
personal growth or achievement from a job. These satisfactions are self initiated rewards, such as
having a feeling of accomplishment, having pride in one s work, or being part of a team. Techniques
such as flex time, short work weeks, job rotation, and job enrichment can offer intrinsic rewards by
allowing the employee greater freedom and providing interesting and challenging jobs. Intrinsic
rewards are non physical rewards meaning they cannot be seen or touched but they are emotionally
connected with the employees. Intrinsic rewards are directly related to job performance as successful
tasks automatically produce them. The higher the success rate, the higher the intrinsic rewards one
receives will be. There are various forms of intrinsic rewards but five common ones are sense of
achievement, words of praise from the seniors, recognition, taking pride from the job, and work
freedom or autonomy. Sense of achievement consists of the employee feeling joy seeing his or her
hard work pay off. Words of

Nnedi Okorafor
Science fiction is alien, travel, space and so on defined by Nnedi Okorafor. Nnedi Okorafor is a
novelist of African based science fiction, fantasy, and magical realism for both children and adults. In
the event, Nnedi Okorafor introduced her understanding of science fiction, her background, her works
and how she created her works. From her speech, I understand science fiction come from daily
experience. Nnedi Okorafor first introduced her work which is transformed to comics, she explained
how she got the idea off the book. The story happens in the future and it is about a pregnant woman
pass the customs. The woman queried about her occupation, reason to visit earth, and infant s race and
finally pass the customs with a plant alien in her handbag. Nnedi got this idea from her experience
which customs officers check her hairs under the reason of her hair style. In my opinion, Nnedi ironies
customs officers focus to much on her race and color rather than other important things, such as bag.

perspective on traveling a unfamiliar country. In Benti 1st episode, A girl receives invitation to Galaxy

The Self Assessment Test Assessment
The self assessment test that is offered in unit 2, is a great help in understanding the areas that we re
both strong, and weak in.Taking a self assessment is the first step towards becoming proactive in our
learning. Becoming proactive in our learning (Bethel University, 2014), can help us make greater
strides in the learning process. The Organizational Leadership program removes barriers to success
that adult learners face (Bethel University, 2014). As a student in the Organizational Leadership
Program, I took the assessment as well.I was surprised in the areas that I did well in.One area that I
did well in , was management and leadership of people. I am a retail store manager, therefore I feel
that this skill is a natural skill, that I embrace. Goal setting, is another skill that I feel confident in.
Given my career as a manager, I have to set goals by the shift, and the day, as well as the week, and
month.Planning, is another skill that I did well in, along with organization. The two go hand in hand in
my daily activities, and you cant be an effective planner without being organized. The last of my top
five skills would be, speaking.I am confident when I address others, and take the opportunity to do it
often. As far a the five weakest skills, I would say that Mathematics would be at the bottom of the list,
mostly due to lack of interest in math, that I have not put forth a lot of effort to succeed in this subject.
Understanding technology, is my second worst weakness. I

Descriptive Essay About Horses
My Symbol
Everyone has a symbol, something that has come to represent all that they are and all that they hope to
become. To understand the true heart and soul of a person, one must first understand who it is that
they hope to become. As George Bernard Shaw once said, Life is not about finding yourself, it is
about creating yourself. All people have something they strive toward and hope to become. Horses
have become for me the symbol of everything I want to be in life, strength, determination, and
compassion.
Throughout the ages horses have been a powerful symbol of strength and fearlessness. Equines are
some of the mightiest creatures in the world. It was the strength of the horse that helped to
revolutionize the world as we know it. Able to carry over thirty percent of their body weight and pull
over one hundred and fifty percent of their body weight, horses are an impressive symbol of physical
strength. Many stories and paintings have depicted the incredible power that horses represent.
Correspondingly, Job 39:19 22 says, Do you give the horse its strength or clothe its neck with a
flowing mane? Do you make it leap like a locust, striking terror with its proud snorting? It paws
fiercely, rejoicing in its strength, and charges into the fray. It laughs at fear, afraid of nothing; it does
not shy away from the sword. Yet what inspires me most about their wonderful animals is not their
physical qualities, it is simply the fact that horses of all shapes, sizes, and

Differences Of Arial And Helvetica
As we have seen from this case, typefaces, more than any other design elements, provide a link to the
history of printing and how technology influences the concept of normal . The development of normal
rests on how human interfaced with the technology: partly on the new added or disappeared
constraints; partly due to the different interactions in a totally new context. Design is refining the
normal bit by bit so that the typefaces as well as other products are still fits in with people s life with
the core of absence and familiarity and finally exceeds normal design to Super Normal design by the
judgement of time.
Super Normal, from a conceptual point of view, leans on an intentional and extraordinary ambivalence

They both are sans serif typefaces that are universally embraced by different communication
platforms. At first glance, they seem very similar. When Arial was released in 1982, it was seen as a
copy of Helvetica of 1957. But if a user examines the characters in each typeface closely, the
differences between them become apparent. Mark Simonson, an American graphic designer, produced
an analysis of the two, which shows how much more refined Helvetica s detailing is than Arial s. The
tail of the a is gently curved in Helvetica, as is the first connection of the bowl to the stem, but not in
Arial. Similarly, the top of the t and the ends of the strokes in the C and S are perfectly horizontal in
the former, but slightly angled in the latter. He also noted that the stem of Helvetica is more complex
in the structure than those in Arial. The distinguishing details are so tiny that can be noticed when they
are scrutinized magnified versions of each character as Simonson did. Yet it is these subtleties that
constitute Helvetica a finer example of design than Arial for professionals. Functionally the two fonts
are roughly equal, as both are admirable clear and considered to be Super Normal, but aesthetically

Brief History on Californian Ingenuous People We have all heard the story of how America came to
be, and how Native Americans were pushed out because of this. In regards to the west coast, the
history is a bit different. There is evidence of natives living in California since from at least 17,000
BCE. Prior to contact with Europeans, the California region contained the highest native American
population north of what is now Mexico. Because of the temperate climate and easy access to food
sources, approximately one third of all Native Americans in the United States were living in
California. The Spanish began their long term occupation in California in 1769. California and its
Spanish Colonization were different from earlier efforts to simultaneously introduce missionaries and
colonists in their world conquest schemes. Organized by the driven Franciscan administrator Junipero
Serra and military authorities under Gaspar de Portola, they journeyed to San Diego to establish the
first of 21 coastal missions. The Californian missions

How Did Winslow Homer Influence Art
One of the most highly regarded painters of the nineteenth century is Winslow Homer. From his birth
in Boston, Massachusetts, he began learning about art. Homer s mother was a water color artist and
taught him a lot of the techniques he used in his works. The Snap the Whip painting is probably
Homer s most famous painting and exemplifies the ideals he tried to get across. All in all, Homer was
one of the most influential painters in American history. Winslow Homer was born in Boston,
Massachusetts on February 24, 1836. From an early age Homer showed interest in art. His mother was
a watercolor painter and taught him many of her techniques. Growing up in Cambridge,

A common theme for Homer was to make paintings that were reminiscent of the simpler times before
the Civil War and industrialization period. This is evident in one of Homer s most famous paintings,
Snap the Whip . This painting shows schoolboys, just released from the small local schoolhouse,
enjoying nature and playing outside. His paintings also had a common theme of representing how the
nation had become unified once again with the conclusion of the Civil War. In his painting Snap the
Whip , you can clearly tell this from the locking of arms between boys representing teamwork. Oceans
and bodies of water were also a common theme in his art works. You can see this quite clearly in his
1876 painting Breezing Up . Homer s most common art media was Oil Paint. Almost every single one
of Homer s famous paintings is painted in oil paint. Overall, Homer had many influences in his work,
but the importance he placed on simplicity before the complex post Civil War industrial period is ever
present in all of his works. (Vaughn: Encyclopedia of

In effect, children see themselves when they interact with other people, as if they are looking in a
mirror. Individuals use the perceptions that others have of them to develop judgments and feelings
about themselves.
2. Taking role of the other
Children pretend to be other people in their play and in so doing learn what these other people expect
of them. Younger children take the role of significant others, or the people, most typically parents and
siblings, who have the most contact with them; older children when they play sports and other games
take on the roles of other people and internalize the expectations of the generalized other, or society
itself.

Children develop their ability to think and act morally through several stages. If they fail to reach the
conventional stage, in which adolescents realize that their parents and society have rules that should

`` Mezzo Cammin `` By Henry Wadsworth Longfellow And When...
In the poems Mezzo cammin by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow and When I have a fear by John keats,
both poems themes are about the imminence of death and their unfulfilled dreams in life. There are
many similarities in the poem but they are mostly in the beginning of the poems, the conclusion on the
other hand is not similar. In Mezzo cammin the main theme of the poem is the reminisce of his dreams
from the past. Keats poems emphasize a theme of the waste of a physical life and his fears associated
with this waste. The similarities seen in the poem are for most part in the beginning of the text. Long
fellow states that Half of his life is gone and Keats then states that may cease to be . They then
proceed to express their fears of not being able to accomplish the goals that they had. Long fellows
acknowledges his down falls from his past, stating The years slip from me and have not fulfilled the
aspirations of my youth, to build some tower of song with lofty parapet (lines 2 3). Keats fears are also
very similar as he uses the word Before multiple times, showing the reader his fears of dying before
achieving the life goals that he has. When reaching the second part of the poems, the reader starts to
see the differences between the poems. Keats starts to talk about the Cloudy symbols and the shadow .
It seems that Keats might believe that love is a predetermined life event, seeming as though he is
disappointed that he might of missed out on an

Japan Western Influence
Japan s isolation policy during the seventeenth century up until the nineteenth century left its people
and government to simply rely on the influence of the Chinese, Koreans and the Dutch. The only
exposure Japan attained during the Tokugawa Shogunate from Western influences came from Dutch
missionaries as artists such as Maruyama Okyo. Eighteenth century Japanese art saw its fist
integration of Western style as observational art pieces became prominent. Coming along with
observational, the naturalistic approach became noticeably apparent when looking at Japanese prints.
Furthermore, as some Japanese scholars managed to get a hand of oil paints and engraving techniques,
mild Western influences were able to shape Japanese ukiyo e art. Ukiyo e¬ art was the child of the

Nonetheless, Japan saw an emergence of the ukiyo e woodblock printing style once again during the
twentieth century as shin hanga art. Shin Hanga art or new prints corresponded with the demands of
Western technologies and style that emerged during the rapid modernization. While, shin hanga prints
did emerge during the early twentieth century as a new type of Japanese art, shin hanga maintained
ukiyo e principles like the study of focus. Shin hanga artists such as Yoshida Hiroshi, Kawase Hasui,
and Itou Shinsui closely compare to the ukiyo e focus on beauty and nature. Furthermore, both ukiyo e
and shin hanga prints were able to capture the essence of the time period both movements were active.
While ukiyo e captures the traditional yet lonely world of Japan, shin hanga was able to portray the
tumultuous period of Japanese traditions mixing with the West (LaLonde). Two works created by

people from over 150 countries to Australia since 1945. Australia is not only multicultural but also

structural adjustment policies implemented by the IMF affect a country. A great example of this is
detailed in Ault and Sandberg s Our Policies, Their Consequences , where both authors explore how
seriously the structural adjustment policies changed the economic state in Zambia. As these authors
point out, the terms of the loans reflect the economic and political interests and values of the world s
wealthiest nations (470) . It is seen here already that that does not bode well for Zambia. One clearly
can see that globalization is just another way first world nations still colonize the world, but instead
through means of economic and trade conquests. Now, the article continues on to talk about the kind
of changes that the IMF implemented on Zambia: they wanted them to devalue their currency and stop
supporting many domestic programs, social welfare programs, and fire federal employees and instead
they wanted them to focus on increasing their exports for the global market. And what are changes
without its consequences? Because the IMF favored the growth of international markets, the local
economy in Zambia suffered greatly. Devalued

The Manor Research Paper
Villages produced almost everything they needed making it very rare to ever need to leave the village.
Peasants rarely journeyed off the Manor and when they did it was to trade or sell their produce (Cels
6). The manor was maintained well enough to have a self sufficient system. The manor connects and
supports feudalism in many ways. Larger manors helped with feudalism s economy. Lords who owned
more than one or just one large manor would almost always hire a steward or bailiff (Cels 20). The
Lord s wrath came from the peasants rent/taxes (Cels 18). The lord would sometimes be able to
supervise his manor but it was rare. The lord s home would sometimes be in the village (Cels 4). The
kitchen in the Lord s house was outside the main building in case of a fire (Cels 7). The Manor help

How To Find A Reliable Health Website
Overview
In the era we are living in, the internet has become the number one source of information (it is the
reason you are reading this by the way). This is due to its convenience and speed. Nowadays you no
longer have to rummage through a whole library to get a book on a topic you want; just a click on
your computer or phone and you are sorted. The trend is no different when it comes to health matters.
It is this tendency that has led to the emergence of consumer health information that helps persons
keep their health in check as well as make wise health decisions for them and their families.

Brown V. Board Of Education Case

Brown v. Board of Education Case
10/3/17
1. Describe the parties and facts.
The parties were minors of Negro race who have been denied admission to schools attended by white
children due to laws requiring or allowing segregation by race. This goes against the Fourteenth
Amendment in 1868 which addresses citizenship rights and equal protection. Lawsuits were filed in
Kansas, South Carolina, Virginia, Delaware, and District of Columbia. In all the cases, but the
Delaware case, the Plessy V. Fergson, 163 U.S. 537 doctrine provided equal treatment, but in
segregated facilities. In the Delaware case, the Supreme Court of Delaware allowed the plaintiffs to
attend white schools because of their superiority to the Negro schools. The plaintiffs were still
unsatisfied with this doctrine, as they felt segregated public schools is not considered equal and they
were not granted the equal protection law.
2. Explain the outcome.
Brown v. Board of Education was a unanimous decision. It was determined that education is the very
foundation of good citizenship , and to separate the colored from the whites will cause inferiority and
affect them in a way that can never be undone. On May 17, 1954, the U.S. Supreme Court struck
down racially segregated schools as unconstitutional in its landmark Brown v. Board of Education
ruling.
3. Identify ethical issues in the case.
When a state has provided opportunities for public school education, it should be a right to be

Issues In Rwanda Genocide
The absence within the literature of the central pillars and their composed themes creates problems
when trying to address current and future contention between the international community and
Rwanda. By relying largely on the genocide guilt card, issues important to Rwanda are sometimes
either overlooked or plainly forgotten. The result is miscommunication and misunderstandings that
complicate a delicate situation. For example is the previously mentioned debate on term limits for
President Kagame. Despite the thesis not discussing the third term debate except for the mention in
Chapter Two, it is an important event that will help continue the trend of how Rwanda views the
actions and decisions by international actors.
The debate on whether ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The issue of abandonment will be brought to the forefront but not in terms of the genocide guilt card.
Rwandan officials will believe that the same states that abandoned Rwanda before and during the
genocide have little ability to criticise the continuation of the only person who did not leave the
country during its darkest periods. President Kagame as leader of the RPF led the campaign to put an
end to the massacres in response to international abandonment of the genocide. This might be easily
misinterpreted as Rwanda promoting genocide guilt to deflect criticism of electing Kagame for more
terms than the current Constitution allows. But at the heart of the issue is the distrust of the
international community. They rather listen to and trust Kagame who did not abandon the country
rather than the countries that did. How he ended the genocide and led the nation into wars with the
DRC is met with the other two themes. Unlike the international community, which seems to
disappoint Rwanda by not properly combating the FDLR , Kagame is credited for promoting the
security of Rwandans by fighting the FDLR and other extremist groups bent on harming Rwanda.
These military campaigns are all through a central belief that Rwanda needs to be self reliant for its
own protection and development. Since the 2012 M23 allegations and aid withdrawal by donors,
Rwandans are increasingly accepting President Kagame s call for self reliance. As discussed in
Chapter Six, his rhetoric campaigns against foreign aid, Kagame continues to instruct Rwandans to
trust that economic development has to come from within Rwanda rather than continual acceptance of
foreign aid. Ronal Nkusi commented how the reduction of aid went beyond just the realm of rhetoric
to include it as a belief to be held by all government officials. This sense

The ISO 14001:1996 implementation process is extremely lengthy and organizational culture plays an
important role. As indicated by Wallace, an organizational culture is agreed as a distinction of the day
to day environment as seen and felt by those who work there (as cited by Balzarova et al., 2006, p.

organization had seen a loss in their profit margin which has forced them to rethink their strategy
within the market they operate in. In order to make change, they took on the philosophies of world
class manufacturing and to form on highly skilled work force (Balzarova et al., 2006). At this point,
upper management also believed the ISO 14001:1996 was in the need of re implementation because
the company had lost certification. Certification was lost due to inadequate preservation and the

Inattentional Blindness In Human Blindness
Inattentional Blindness in our Everyday Lives and Reducing Lapses in Attention
Introduction
Our world is an immensely vast place. It is a place in which great clockworks of life govern
everything from the largest interdependent network to the smallest details. As humans, we have
evolved to perceive the world primarily through visual stimuli. In terms of intricacy and the area of
the brain dedicated, our visual sense is the most well developed sensory system. Our eyes are adapted
so that they focus on objects both near and far through the contraction and relaxation of the ciliary
muscle (Kaufman, Levin, Alm). However, we cannot focus on everything at the same time. This
process of focus is selective as we can pay attention to and process only so much information at once
(Chen, Choi). As a result, humans are able to process some visual stimuli but may completely fail to
regard other details, be they minute or monumental. This failure is described as inattentional blindness
, and it can have several real world implications in our everyday lives.

Sex Therapy Is The Appropriate Treatment For Sexual...
Today sex therapy is known to have been founded by Masters and Johnson (1970), whos published
report on a new therapeutic approach to sexual problems, revolutionized what health professionals
saw as the appropriate treatment for sexual dysfunction. In contrast to psychoanalytical approaches,
the new sex therapy was relatively brief, problem focused, direct and behavioral with regard to
technique. Ultimately, the large majority of sexual difficulties were seen as arising from a sexually
restrictive or religiously orthodox upbringing.
This resulted in decreased communication with sexual partners, a lack of information about normal
sexual functioning and subsequent anxiety and preoccupation over performance during sexual
interactions. Theirs was a learning model of sexual functioning and the objectives of treatment
consisted of effectively achieving alleviation of performance anxiety and re educating clients
regarding sexuality.
In 1974 Helen Kaplan used Masters and Johnson s new therapy and elaborated her version with a
direct approach to symptom treatment that worked. Nonetheless, many clients resisted the new
behavioral techniques and the therapist relied on other methods of theory and interpersonal roles of
sexual dysfunction. In other words, clients with serious underlying causes did not respond well to
direct intervention.
Masters and Johnson (1970), sex therapy included short term but intensive work with the couple. The

The Omnivore s Dilemma By Michael Pollan
Food dominates the lives of people. It is used as comfort and fuel. But the controversy is, what should
people consume? Burkhard Bilger s piece, Nature s Spoils, explores the abnormal way of eating,
which is the fermentation of food. It is usually a safe practice, and also produces vitamins in the
making. The Omnivore s Dilemma by Michael Pollan expresses the problem of how humans select
food. In How Do We Choose What to Eat? by Susan Bowerman she points out the influences on
people s life that affects their eating habits. By using Bowerman s article as the keystone, Nature s
Spoils and The Omnivore s Dilemma can be compared and contrasted. Since the food that people
consume daily can affect them in the future, it must be chosen carefully.
In Nature s Spoils by Burkhard Bilger, he follows Katz Sanders, who is a lover of sauerkraut and
fermented food. The biography that Bilger includes of Sanders from goes back to when Sanders he

Essay On Personal Reflection
Introduction Learning and participating in workshops provides one with an opportunity to gain
knowledge. The knowledge gained is beneficial to the individual when put into practice, otherwise,
that knowledge is futile. However, one can only apply the information gained through better
information processing and synthesis. One of the approaches used in evaluating the effectiveness of
the information gained involves undertaking an in depth personal reflection. The purpose of this
investigation is to conduct an in depth personal reflection on one area of personal strength emanating
from the workshops carried out throughout the year. Definition of Personal Strength To evaluate one s
strengths, one needs to undertake a range of tests. Already, there exist a plethora of approaches to
evaluate the strengths within oneself. Some of these tests include personal intuitions and preferences.
However, undertaking a professional evaluation is important to ensure consistency. One of the most
important tools to evaluate one s personal strengths is the Myers Briggs Type Indicators (Bower 2015;
Culp Smith 2009; Das Sharma, 2015). In particular, this evaluation protocol allows an individual to
see the person within other than the behavior. Primarily, the inner personality influences the outward
behavior. Moreover, the environment plays an important role in the behavioral approach.
Consequently, performing a focused investigation provides a better evaluation metric. Furthermore,
the Myers Briggs Type Indicator allows an individual to conceptualize both internal and external
factors and the decisions made under such environments. After a careful evaluation, I have realized
that organization or orderliness is my personal strength. In part, planning plays a central role in most
of the decisions made (Cui Wu 2016). Essentially, I feel that whenever the time is spent on the
planning stage, the implementation and evaluation of a process become easier. However, failure to
plan leads to delays in the implementation process. Particularly, a lot of delays in the implementation
process are attributable to the order of activities. In other cases, people try to undertake more than one
activity simultaneously as a time saving strategy.

The Gunpowder Plot Of 1605
The Gunpowder Plot of 1605 reveals a deep and rich history of the animosity between the Protestant
and Catholic sects of the Christian Church. The official tale tells of Catholic conspirators planning to
kill King James I and a majority of Parliament in a statement against Protestantism. Though Robert
Cecil caught Guy Fawkes in the cellar of the Parliament Building and many associated with the plot
possessed good reason to attempt a mass killing against a predominantly Protestant government, large
amounts of evidence suggest that Protestants likely framed the Catholics for an attempt on King James
and a majority of Parliament s lives. When considering the time period, England held a large

The British Position s Position On The Morality Continuum
A major difference between 1956 and the 1930s was the British position s position on the morality
continuum. The Anti Appeasement position championed by Churchill during the 1930s had aged very
well. By 1956 the horrors of world war two were still fresh memories for all adult Britons and
Churchill s historical writings seemed to cement this view.
At a time when the evils of imperialism were becoming more apparent and resented a great deal of
British pride was sourced from standing up to fascism in 1939 and ultimately winning.
Illegal, unilateral military intervention in Suez on the back of a legal nationalisation of a foreign
owned asset had all the hallmarks of a colonist power s show of strength. British national interest was
undoubtedly threatened by the loss of oil, spread of Arab nationalism and (more questionably) the
resulting spread of communism throughout the region but the moral high ground of a nation defending
itself against fascism was more difficult to conjure up.
By drawing parallels between (specifically) 1938 and the nationalization crisis a sense of moral
authority was gained.
Britain could no longer hope to act unilaterally with success. The support (active and passive) from
the commonwealth and the USA was no longer present.
Britain viewed Nasser as a reckless dictator who had potential to massively threaten western power in
the Middle East, the power of Britain and ultimately tip the balance in the cold war.

which are the elephant, the tortoise, the penguin, the rhinoceros, and the owl. He plays chess with the

two weeks they check it out of the library. That book is theirs. I m not sure any other art for replicates
that feeling. She is right, every picture book that a person picks up, buys, or checks out is a piece of art
because all picture book illustrations are different and unique.
Illustrations in pictures are meant to make the use of the book for entertainment. The illustrations that
Erin C. Stead uses in her all of her books are woodblock or also known as woodcut printing and then
she draws on the top of the prints in pencil to finish the illustration. This type of illustration was used
in A Sick Day for Amos McGee. Woodblock printing is a technique that is used to print text, images or
patterns. In an interview talking about the illustrations in her and her husband s book, with MacMillan
Children s on YouTube, the colors that are in the book are stamped onto the page by a piece of wood.
She carves each piece of wood into each of the animals that are in the book. After she does that, she
rolls the paint onto the piece of wood and presses it to the paper. The colors that the illustrator s use
was blue, yellow, green, gray/black, orange, red, brown, and white. Red, yellow, and oranges, are
colors used to make the book suggest it has warmth, cheerfulness,

Bullies Vs Bystanders
Your clothes are ugly. Your hair is in a mess. Gross, you need to shave. The smallest things could
make such a big impact on someone. A lot of people are bullied in different ways like, cyber, physical,
or verbal. Bullies are worse than bystanders because they are the ones who start doing the damage on
someone. For an example, some people have never experienced bullying, and so when they do they
start making the victim s life worse and it may be suicide. Bullies also make the person feel bad about
their self. These were just a couple of things. First of all, bullies are the worse than bystanders. They
are the ones who starts the cruel bullying. Many bullies start bullying to feel like their in a group so
they can connect with other

Health Systems Are Not An Open Society
Today not everyone has equal opportunities and access to health care. Not everyone is respected the
same due to their physical features: skin color, texture of hair, and body type. An open society helps
individuals to respect for diversity, to promote inclusion, to support for national and global initiatives
dedicated to eliminating disparities, and to create open, healthy societies. In order to be an open
society, one must have an open mind of co workers and patients and self discipline to laws.
An open society is considered to be utopia (Nyswander, 1985). Health systems are not an open society,
but are always working to improve and striving to become an open society. In an open society,
workers respects their coworkers and patients, future laws, and abide the rules. Workers in an open
society are all free men , who are self disciplined, respect for rational order, and accept conformity to
laws for the general good, and trust others (Nyswander, 1985). Free men know how to work with
workers efficiently by communicating.
As individuals, we have to promote inclusion. In an open society, people need to always brainstorm
new goals to help the system to improve. Goals are mainly accomplished when everyone works
together comfortably. In some type of way, everyone should be included in the task such as, coming
up of goals or ways to accomplish the goal or being a part of the goal to help accomplish it. By having
everyone work together, it will create a positive

White People In Montgomery
After learning about the boycott and searching on various websites about Rosa Parks and the
Montgomery boycott. I found that white people served an important role in this resistance movement.
After a period of time the boycott started, white people in Montgomery split into three major groups.
While most of the white people opposed the boycott with violent actions, some whites still helped
their African American employees by providing transportation support. Another business group who
wanted to make profits from black, remained peaceful and negotiated with boycott leaders.
Large amounts of white population in Montgomery went against the bus boycott and some even used
violent actions. The White Citizen s Council listed some of the telephone numbers of white people
who support the boycott, and numerous people made phone calls to complain about the behavior of
hauling African American. (S. Gratze) According to their behavior, we can concluded that huge
amounts of people dislike the boycott and took some actions. Ku Klux Klan, a white supremacist
group, bombed four black churches and the homes of prominent black leaders . Some white ... Show

Sato san stated that the business community in Montgomery formed an organization called the Men of
Montgomery and tried to negotiate directly with the boycotters. Since businessman took their money
seriously in most cases and the resistance worked efficiently, they tried to reach an agreement with
boycott leaders. Unfortunately, the talk was proved to be a failure and finally ended with no result.
(Sato san) However, these actions made by white people didn t appear to be common, they realized
the tense situation and took their interest as the first place. The business power in Montgomery had
some influences in the boycott, and they negotiated with boycotters to solve this

The Prospect Theory, A Behavioral Economic Theory
Prospect theory is a Behavioural Economics Theory which tries to understand how people take
decisions in terms of two alternatives, which have a probabilistic nature. These decision making
processes and their respective outcomes also involve risk. An important point of the Prospect Theory
is that it considers the fact that the outcomes of the alternatives are known. The basic idea behind the
theory is that people base their decisions on potential gains and losses, rather than thinking about the
final outcome. The theory is of the idea that people make such decisions about gains and losses with
the help of heuristics. The theory has been very critical in its application as it tries to bring forth a
model which is much more realistic in nature, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In the equation, xi refers to the total number of possible outcomes and pi shows the probability of
those respective outcomes. In the equation w is referred to as the weighing function for the
probabilities which therefore shows that people tend to overreact to certain situations of smaller
probability as compared to larger probabilities.
MAJOR FEATURES
1) The coefficients of values are just gains and losses which are not to be confused with final wealth.
2) The model is able to represent greater sensitivity towards losses as compared to gains.
3) The function is convex for losses that would occur out of the possible outcomes and concave for
any sort of gain.
4) Weighing function helps to overweigh smaller probabilities.
APPLICATIONS OF PROSPECT THEORY
Barberis (2013) paper is a review of the applications of Prospect Theory. As some argue that the
Prospect Theory only works well under a laboratory setting, the author has other ideas to share.
According to Barberis, Prospect Theory is just not well made to be directly applied. The paper is able
to trace down the various advancements that have come up in terms of Prospect

The Importance Of The Roy Acuff Postage Stamps
This paper will analyze and discuss the Roy Acuff commemorative stamp published by the United
States Postal Service in 2003. The designer of the art on the stamp was Richard Sheaff from
Scottsdale, Arizona, and the copyright is 2002. The stamps were issued in Nashville, Tennessee by the
United States Postal Service in a pressure sensitive adhesive pane containing twenty stamps on
September 13, 2003. On September 14, 2003, the stamps were made available for purchase
nationwide at a cost of thirty seven cents per stamp. In total, Avery Dennison printed fifty two million
of these stamps (Smithsonian National Postal Museum, 2003). Roy Acuff, nicknamed King of
Country Music, was one of country music s first icons. He helped establish the Grand Ole Opry as the
United States leading country music venue, and through his position in the music publishing business,
he influenced Nashville, Tennessee s notoriety as the country music capital of the United States
(Smithsonian National Postal Museum, 2003). This paper will look at the prominence of both postage
stamps and Roy Acuff, and the importance of their combination in one commemorative postage
stamp. Postage stamps are an important aspect of American culture, and the Roy Acuff
commemorative postage stamp recognizes the influence he had on our music culture. The research for
the Roy Acuff commemorative stamp was easier for some topics, but more difficult for others. In
order to research my object, I started by entering key

U.S. China Relations
July 14, 2015
Compare and Contrast of Clinton s and Xi s Speeches
Decades has passed since U.S. and China established formal diplomatic relations. The two countries
have faced the pressures of economic transformation, social and political standoffs, and now have
moved to a new stage of complex mix of diplomatic issues, differences in values, and increasingly
intertwined economy. If the U.S. and China to improve their achievements made in the past, then the
U.S. China relation is likely to surpass the contradictions in cultural, political, economic and social
differences, and seek to maximize the mutual benefit for both and work together to shift the focus to

Despite she fact she acknowledges that both countries can gain from cooperation in security, energy,
economic issues; U.S. s self interests comes first. As China advocates for more international
involvement, open market policies, territorial assurance from the U.S., the U.S. on the other hand
strives to maintain its position in global leadership and interest because it still considers China as a
threat, trying to seize China to prevent it from gaining excessive international power. In the following,
I will first analyze the similarities and differences between the two speeches, point out U.S. and China
s problematic intentions that cause diplomatic challenges, and argue about why it is crucial for the
U.S. to keep interfere with China s diplomatic situations. To defend my position, I will examine China
and the U.S. s take on the South China Sea dispute, which has risen up to be a major flashpoint for
conflicts in Asia after the Cold War.
Although Xi acknowledged the 4 areas that the U.S. and China need to make joint efforts in, they are
by no means practical solutions to the contemporary issues that both nations face today. Steadily
increase mutual understanding and strategic trust, build mutual respect of each other s

NASA Rover Research Paper
Opportunity NASA Rover A robot is a machine capable of carrying out a complex series of actions
automatically, especially one programmable by a computer. When you think of a robot, do you think
of a dishwasher? Probably not. Robots don t have to be a fancy human or animal shaped machines. It
can be something as simple as your cellphone. Some very common robots are washers, dishwashers,
automatic vacuums, and some voice activated devices. We have these robots to make everyday tasks
easier, to do a better job, or to do something that humans could never do. The three main components
of any given robot are the sensors, the actuators, and a computation process. The term robot comes
from the extravagant playwright by Karel Čapek who introduced the word in his hit play in the 1920 s,

Exploration Program, a long term effort of robotic exploration of the red planet. The Opportunity is
mostly made out of different types of sensors to take in various kinds of information. The mast

purpose as a geologist s handheld magnifying lens. Some sensors that the Opportunity has is a

  • 2. The U. S. And Turkey Consequences the 2016 Coup brought to The U.S. and Turkey Historically, relations between the United States and Turkey were formed through mutual respect and interest. The first U.S. interaction dates to 1831, when the United States established diplomatic relations with the Ottoman Empire (the U.S. Department of State) in 1831 through the formal act of diplomatic recognition between the countries. The friendship was strengthened in the early 1900s as the United States was elevated to Embassy status in 1906. During World War I, however, the U.S. broke the neutrality and declared war against Germany, a prime ally of the Ottoman Empire for Central Powers. This incident caused a severity in the diplomatic relations between the U.S. and the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... However, the state of the contemporary relationship has been unstable through events and the rising anti American sentiment among Turkish citizens. Despite the U.S. support to Turkey for the security of the Middle East region and the corresponding benefits through the bilateral cooperation, the two countries have currently been through several controversies. As a safety measure toward the Islamic State, the growing presence of Muslim fundamentalism (ABC Clio), the U.S. militarily has supported the Kurdish armed force in Syria, a minority ethnic group in the Middle East, to counter against the IS. However, Turkey claimed that the armed force has a connection to the Kurdistan Workers Party, which has is designated as a terrorist group by Turkey. Despite the insistence of the country, the U.S. has not ceased the support, creating a split between the two countries. A coup attempted by the Peace Council, a faction of the Turkish army, was the most prime precipitating event that led the contemporary relationship between the U.S and Turkey into a confrontation. Since Erdogan inaugurated as the president, the approval rate was remarkably ever increasing through the strong economic conditions. On the other hand, he strengthened the dictatorial policy of Islamization in the country. This artwork takes place in Ancient China around c. 2nd century BCE. It was designed and used within the Han Dynasty early in China s history. These clay models like the pig sty and other burial goods had a hand in furthering the development of Chinas cultural heritage and beliefs. Within this paper I will be discussing my chosen MIA artwork, works that are similar but different to this artwork, and also how all three works, although all different, have the same purpose for what they have been made for. Then finally touching on how the context of the piece can change based on its surroundings. When one looks at the Funerary model of a ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... (MIA) The roofs are separated into four sections on both rooftops. On the square latrine roofs there are four triangles. While on the rectangular latrine there are two triangles and two trapezoids for the rooftops shape. I find that this adds to the depth of the roof giving this piece great detail. One can see this not just in the structure, but also in the details of the animals found in the pigsty model. For starters when looking around there are seven animals total. They are a boar or male pig, a dog, a sow who is feeding her three young piglets, and finally a bird. (MIA) In this particular model each animal is found doing something known for what that animal does in real life. For example the boar is outside the pen eating slop by himself out of a bowl. While the dog is above the boar on the walkway lazily sleeping his day away in what could be the hot sun. As one moves along within the piece and looks inside the pen one can see a sow that is really doing the most work in this model for she is feeding her three young piglets right in the middle of the pen. This is okay because her and the piglets are the only four in the pen causing a feeling of calm to the person looking at the work. Finally we move our eyes up and see a nest with a bird in it. This bird seems to be stretching his wings or cleaning them minding its own business. All these individual details make up one ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

In 2002, the Model for End Stage Liver Disease (MELD) system for liver allocation was implemented and it resulted in lower waiting list death rates among recipients without changing 1 year graft and patient survival (19, 20), including those 65 years (21) in comparison to the pre MELD era. However, functional status and long term clinical outcomes among older liver transplant recipients in the MELD era are unclear. Based on the Scientific Registry of Transplant Recipients (SRTR), the number of waitlisted older adults ( 65 years) for liver transplantation has significantly increased in the past decade from 9.9% (1,637) in 2001 to 16% (2,460) in 2011 (22). Rewards And Rewards For Rewarding Performance Rewarding Performance There are several different methods for rewarding performance as well but rewarding performance methods fall into several different categories. There are intrinsic rewards, extrinsic rewards, financial rewards, non financial rewards, performance based rewards, membership based rewards, and many other rewards. Intrinsic Rewards Intrinsic rewards consist of the satisfactions one gets from the job itself or furthermore, when an employee experiences feelings of personal growth or achievement from a job. These satisfactions are self initiated rewards, such as having a feeling of accomplishment, having pride in one s work, or being part of a team. Techniques such as flex time, short work weeks, job rotation, and job enrichment can offer intrinsic rewards by allowing the employee greater freedom and providing interesting and challenging jobs. Intrinsic rewards are non physical rewards meaning they cannot be seen or touched but they are emotionally connected with the employees. Intrinsic rewards are directly related to job performance as successful tasks automatically produce them. The higher the success rate, the higher the intrinsic rewards one receives will be. There are various forms of intrinsic rewards but five common ones are sense of achievement, words of praise from the seniors, recognition, taking pride from the job, and work freedom or autonomy. • 8. Descriptive Essay About Horses My Symbol Everyone has a symbol, something that has come to represent all that they are and all that they hope to become. To understand the true heart and soul of a person, one must first understand who it is that they hope to become. As George Bernard Shaw once said, Life is not about finding yourself, it is about creating yourself. All people have something they strive toward and hope to become. Horses have become for me the symbol of everything I want to be in life, strength, determination, and compassion. Throughout the ages horses have been a powerful symbol of strength and fearlessness. Equines are some of the mightiest creatures in the world. It was the strength of the horse that helped to revolutionize the world as we know it. Able to carry over thirty percent of their body weight and pull over one hundred and fifty percent of their body weight, horses are an impressive symbol of physical strength. Many stories and paintings have depicted the incredible power that horses represent. Correspondingly, Job 39:19 22 says, Do you give the horse its strength or clothe its neck with a flowing mane? Do you make it leap like a locust, striking terror with its proud snorting? It paws fiercely, rejoicing in its strength, and charges into the fray. It laughs at fear, afraid of nothing; it does not shy away from the sword. Yet what inspires me most about their wonderful animals is not their physical qualities, it is simply the fact that horses of all shapes, sizes, and ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 9. Differences Of Arial And Helvetica As we have seen from this case, typefaces, more than any other design elements, provide a link to the history of printing and how technology influences the concept of normal . The development of normal rests on how human interfaced with the technology: partly on the new added or disappeared constraints; partly due to the different interactions in a totally new context. Design is refining the normal bit by bit so that the typefaces as well as other products are still fits in with people s life with the core of absence and familiarity and finally exceeds normal design to Super Normal design by the judgement of time. When Arial was released in 1982, it was seen as a copy of Helvetica of 1957. But if a user examines the characters in each typeface closely, the differences between them become apparent. Mark Simonson, an American graphic designer, produced an analysis of the two, which shows how much more refined Helvetica s detailing is than Arial s. The tail of the a is gently curved in Helvetica, as is the first connection of the bowl to the stem, but not in Arial. Similarly, the top of the t and the ends of the strokes in the C and S are perfectly horizontal in the former, but slightly angled in the latter. He also noted that the stem of Helvetica is more complex in the structure than those in Arial. The distinguishing details are so tiny that can be noticed when they are scrutinized magnified versions of each character as Simonson did. Yet it is these subtleties that constitute Helvetica a finer example of design than Arial for professionals. In the poems Mezzo cammin by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow and When I have a fear by John keats, both poems themes are about the imminence of death and their unfulfilled dreams in life. There are many similarities in the poem but they are mostly in the beginning of the poems, the conclusion on the other hand is not similar. In Mezzo cammin the main theme of the poem is the reminisce of his dreams from the past. Keats poems emphasize a theme of the waste of a physical life and his fears associated with this waste. Long fellows acknowledges his down falls from his past, stating The years slip from me and have not fulfilled the aspirations of my youth, to build some tower of song with lofty parapet (lines 2 3). This goes against the Fourteenth Amendment in 1868 which addresses citizenship rights and equal protection. How he ended the genocide and led the nation into wars with the DRC is met with the other two themes. Unlike the international community, which seems to disappoint Rwanda by not properly combating the FDLR , Kagame is credited for promoting the security of Rwandans by fighting the FDLR and other extremist groups bent on harming Rwanda. These military campaigns are all through a central belief that Rwanda needs to be self reliant for its own protection and development. Since the 2012 M23 allegations and aid withdrawal by donors, Rwandans are increasingly accepting President Kagame s call for self reliance. As discussed in Chapter Six, his rhetoric campaigns against foreign aid, Kagame continues to instruct Rwandans to trust that economic development has to come from within Rwanda rather than continual acceptance of foreign aid. Ronal Nkusi commented how the reduction of aid went beyond just the realm of rhetoric to include it as a belief to be held by all government officials. This sense ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The ISO 14001:1996 implementation process is extremely lengthy and organizational culture plays an important role. As indicated by Wallace, an organizational culture is agreed as a distinction of the day to day environment as seen and felt by those who work there (as cited by Balzarova et al., 2006, p. 90). The first organization, based in the North West of England, which the authors performed a case study on was a manufacturer of brass and steel fabricated components. In the last few years, the organization had seen a loss in their profit margin which has forced them to rethink their strategy within the market they operate in. In order to make change, they took on the philosophies of world class manufacturing and to form on highly skilled work force (Balzarova et al., 2006). At this point, upper management also believed the ISO 14001:1996 was in the need of re implementation because the company had lost certification. Certification was lost due to inadequate preservation and the absence of commitment (Balzarova et al., 2006). • 27. Inattentional Blindness In Human Blindness Inattentional Blindness in our Everyday Lives and Reducing Lapses in Attention Introduction Our world is an immensely vast place. It is a place in which great clockworks of life govern everything from the largest interdependent network to the smallest details. As humans, we have evolved to perceive the world primarily through visual stimuli. In terms of intricacy and the area of the brain dedicated, our visual sense is the most well developed sensory system. Our eyes are adapted so that they focus on objects both near and far through the contraction and relaxation of the ciliary muscle (Kaufman, Levin, Alm). However, we cannot focus on everything at the same time. This process of focus is selective as we can pay attention to and process only so much information at once (Chen, Choi). As a result, humans are able to process some visual stimuli but may completely fail to regard other details, be they minute or monumental. This failure is described as inattentional blindness , and it can have several real world implications in our everyday lives. Experiments Take the following experiment into consideration. You are tasked to watch a video of a group of people pass basketballs back and forth. Three of them are dressed in white shirts and the other three in black shirts. • 28. Sex Therapy Is The Appropriate Treatment For Sexual... Today sex therapy is known to have been founded by Masters and Johnson (1970), whos published report on a new therapeutic approach to sexual problems, revolutionized what health professionals saw as the appropriate treatment for sexual dysfunction. In contrast to psychoanalytical approaches, the new sex therapy was relatively brief, problem focused, direct and behavioral with regard to technique. Ultimately, the large majority of sexual difficulties were seen as arising from a sexually restrictive or religiously orthodox upbringing. This resulted in decreased communication with sexual partners, a lack of information about normal sexual functioning and subsequent anxiety and preoccupation over performance during sexual interactions. Theirs was a learning model of sexual functioning and the objectives of treatment consisted of effectively achieving alleviation of performance anxiety and re educating clients regarding sexuality. In 1974 Helen Kaplan used Masters and Johnson s new therapy and elaborated her version with a direct approach to symptom treatment that worked. Nonetheless, many clients resisted the new behavioral techniques and the therapist relied on other methods of theory and interpersonal roles of sexual dysfunction. In other words, clients with serious underlying causes did not respond well to direct intervention. Masters and Johnson (1970), sex therapy included short term but intensive work with the couple. • 31. Essay On Personal Reflection Introduction Learning and participating in workshops provides one with an opportunity to gain knowledge. The knowledge gained is beneficial to the individual when put into practice, otherwise, that knowledge is futile. However, one can only apply the information gained through better information processing and synthesis. One of the approaches used in evaluating the effectiveness of the information gained involves undertaking an in depth personal reflection. The purpose of this investigation is to conduct an in depth personal reflection on one area of personal strength emanating from the workshops carried out throughout the year. Definition of Personal Strength To evaluate one s strengths, one needs to undertake a range of tests. Already, there exist a plethora of approaches to evaluate the strengths within oneself. Some of these tests include personal intuitions and preferences. However, undertaking a professional evaluation is important to ensure consistency. One of the most important tools to evaluate one s personal strengths is the Myers Briggs Type Indicators (Bower 2015; Culp Smith 2009; Das Sharma, 2015). In particular, this evaluation protocol allows an individual to see the person within other than the behavior. Primarily, the inner personality influences the outward behavior. Moreover, the environment plays an important role in the behavioral approach. Consequently, performing a focused investigation provides a better evaluation metric. Furthermore, the Myers Briggs Type Indicator allows an individual to conceptualize both internal and external factors and the decisions made under such environments. After a careful evaluation, I have realized that organization or orderliness is my personal strength. In part, planning plays a central role in most of the decisions made (Cui Wu 2016). Essentially, I feel that whenever the time is spent on the planning stage, the implementation and evaluation of a process become easier. However, failure to plan leads to delays in the implementation process. Particularly, a lot of delays in the implementation process are attributable to the order of activities. Though Robert Cecil caught Guy Fawkes in the cellar of the Parliament Building and many associated with the plot possessed good reason to attempt a mass killing against a predominantly Protestant government, large amounts of evidence suggest that Protestants likely framed the Catholics for an attempt on King James and a majority of Parliament s lives. • 35. The British Position s Position On The Morality Continuum A major difference between 1956 and the 1930s was the British position s position on the morality continuum. The Anti Appeasement position championed by Churchill during the 1930s had aged very well. By 1956 the horrors of world war two were still fresh memories for all adult Britons and Churchill s historical writings seemed to cement this view. At a time when the evils of imperialism were becoming more apparent and resented a great deal of British pride was sourced from standing up to fascism in 1939 and ultimately winning. Illegal, unilateral military intervention in Suez on the back of a legal nationalisation of a foreign owned asset had all the hallmarks of a colonist power s show of strength. British national interest was undoubtedly threatened by the loss of oil, spread of Arab nationalism and (more questionably) the resulting spread of communism throughout the region but the moral high ground of a nation defending itself against fascism was more difficult to conjure up. By drawing parallels between (specifically) 1938 and the nationalization crisis a sense of moral authority was gained. Britain could no longer hope to act unilaterally with success. The support (active and passive) from the commonwealth and the USA was no longer present. Britain viewed Nasser as a reckless dictator who had potential to massively threaten western power in the Middle East, the power of Britain and ultimately tip the balance in the cold war. Stead A Sick Day for Amos McGee is about a friendly zookeeper, who always goes to the zoo, on the number five bus every day to make time for his friends, which are the elephant, the tortoise, the penguin, the rhinoceros, and the owl. He plays chess with the elephant, runs races with the tortoise, sits with the penguin, always gives his handkerchief to the rhinoceros, and reads to the owl. Then, one day the zookeeper gets sick and he is not able to go to the zoo to his friends. So, his friends left the zoo on the number five bus and visited his best friend at home to make him feel better. A Sick day for Amos McGee won the Caldecott Medal in 2011 for the illustrations that were done by Erin E. Stead, who is the wife of the author, Philip C. Stead. She made a speech on her winning, saying A picture book allows a child ownership of art even if it s just for the two weeks they check it out of the library. That book is theirs. I m not sure any other art for replicates that feeling. She is right, every picture book that a person picks up, buys, or checks out is a piece of art because all picture book illustrations are different and unique. Illustrations in pictures are meant to make the use of the book for entertainment. The illustrations that Erin C. In order to be an open society, one must have an open mind of co workers and patients and self discipline to laws. An open society is considered to be utopia (Nyswander, 1985). These decision making processes and their respective outcomes also involve risk. The basic idea behind the theory is that people base their decisions on potential gains and losses, rather than thinking about the final outcome. In total, Avery Dennison printed fifty two million of these stamps (Smithsonian National Postal Museum, 2003). Roy Acuff, nicknamed King of Country Music, was one of country music s first icons. He helped establish the Grand Ole Opry as the United States leading country music venue, and through his position in the music publishing business, he influenced Nashville, Tennessee s notoriety as the country music capital of the United States (Smithsonian National Postal Museum, 2003). The two countries have faced the pressures of economic transformation, social and political standoffs, and now have moved to a new stage of complex mix of diplomatic issues, differences in values, and increasingly intertwined economy. If the U.S. and China to improve their achievements made in the past, then the U.S. China relation is likely to surpass the contradictions in cultural, political, economic and social differences, and seek to maximize the mutual benefit for both and work together to shift the focus to making greater ... As China advocates for more international involvement, open market policies, territorial assurance from the U.S., the U.S. on the other hand strives to maintain its position in global leadership and interest because it still considers China as a threat, trying to seize China to prevent it from gaining excessive international power. In the following, I will first analyze the similarities and differences between the two speeches, point out U.S. and China s problematic intentions that cause diplomatic challenges, and argue about why it is crucial for the U.S. to keep interfere with China s diplomatic situations. To defend my position, I will examine China and the U.S. s take on the South China Sea dispute, which has risen up to be a major flashpoint for conflicts in Asia after the Cold War. Although Xi acknowledged the 4 areas that the U.S. and China need to make joint efforts in, they are by no means practical solutions to the contemporary issues that both nations face today. Steadily increase mutual understanding and strategic trust, build mutual respect of each other s ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 49. NASA Rover Research Paper Opportunity NASA Rover A robot is a machine capable of carrying out a complex series of actions automatically, especially one programmable by a computer. When you think of a robot, do you think of a dishwasher? Probably not. Robots don t have to be a fancy human or animal shaped machines. It can be something as simple as your cellphone. Some very common robots are washers, dishwashers, automatic vacuums, and some voice activated devices. We have these robots to make everyday tasks easier, to do a better job, or to do something that humans could never do. The three main components of any given robot are the sensors, the actuators, and a computation process. The term robot comes from the extravagant playwright by Karel Čapek who introduced the word in his hit play in the 1920 s, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The word itself was drawn from the old Slavonic Church word, robota which means forced labor , drudgery , or servitude . The Mars Exploration Rover mission includes the twin rovers, the Opportunity and Spirit rovers which explore outer space. These rovers are part of NASA s Mars Exploration Program, a long term effort of robotic exploration of the red planet. The Opportunity is mostly made out of different types of sensors to take in various kinds of information. The mast mounted cameras are mounted 1.5 meters(5 feet) high and will provide 360 degree, stereoscopic, humanlike views of the terrain. The robotic arm is capable of movement in much the same way as a human arm with an elbow and wrist, and can place instruments directly up against rock and soil targets of interest. In the mechanical fist of the arm is a microscopic camera that serves the same purpose as a geologist s handheld magnifying lens. Some sensors that the Opportunity has is a Panoramic Camera (Pancam). The Pancam is used for determining minerals, texture, and the structure of the terrain. The Miniature Thermal Emission Spectrometer (Mini TES) is used for identifying promising ...
