The Characteristics Of Growing Up In The 21st Century
Growing up in the 21st century, it can be very eye opening and intimidating. A majority of people will
start their day by sitting down and watching the news including stories about how seven just died from
a stabbing or another bomb was dropped in the Middle East. As I continue to grow up, I start to notice
the things that are not being talked about, and more specifically, the topics on news. They will very
rarely will pick a positive story over any negative one. The people that make the world a better place
are constantly lost in the shadows of the inconsiderate acts of inhumanity everyday. There is a small
amount of people who are praised or even recognized for their generous actions, however, there are
numerous people that should get this recognition. For children in this century, having a role model is
very important because that inspires them to become better people, to make a stand for what they
believe in, or believe they have a voice. When one becomes considered an admirable person, there are
numerous traits that make them who they are. Selflessness is almost always lost in society due to the
idea of fame and fortune. A selfless person stands out because they are putting others before
themselves, which is not common in the world. They believe other people are just as important as
them, and with selflessness comes a trickle of other traits like being compassionate and generous.
There are many other characteristics that can stand out in a person, and in addition to

Morality Is The Quality Of Being Morally Right
Morality is the quality of being morally right. Thoreau views morality as acting on one s conscience.
Conscience is a faculty that God gives to every man so he can discern between right and wrong. Its
verdicts are consistent across different circumstances, and across time. Therefore, morality is absolute.
In this section, Thoreau explores ways in which people justify not acting according to their
consciences. However, Thoreau maintains the conviction that nothing can excuse withholding what is
morally right.
Thoreau focuses his point on patrons of virtue. A patron of virtue is a person who understands and
supports the right, but does not act on what he knows. He introduces this group using a verse, which
reads, A drab of state, a ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The majority will likely only abolish slavery through law when their culture has already deemed it
null. Thoreau believes only men who live by conscience can actually abolish slavery. These men show
their desires in their votes, but their choices to not need to prevail. These men know that only their
individual actions on conscience can cause the change they know is right.
Thoreau also believes that expediency cannot substitute for morality. He cites the philosopher William
Paley, who claims that the justice of every particular case of resistance is reduced to a computation of
the quantity of the danger and grievance on the one side, and of the probability and expense of
redressing it on the other (79). Paley argues that the morally correct action in any scenario requires
only comparing the costs o the actions on either side. Thoreau understands that many apply Paley s
theory to cases dealing with morality, which is evident when he calls Paley a common authority with
many on moral questions (79). Those who would use Paley s statement as a way to judge morally
correct action would not disown the United States government for its acceptance of slavery, because it
would cause unnecessary grievance on their own part, and inconvenience to the authorities. However,
Thoreau says that Paley s view only applies where the rule of expediency applies, or where only non

Racism In Pecola Breedlove s The Bluest Eye
A common thought process that most people have been experiencing within the past decade is the idea
that racism is an occurrence of the past. This couldn t be further from the truth. Overall violent crime
has been declining since 2005, but the percentage of violent crime victims amongst the African
American population hasn t exactly followed this pattern. The percentage of violent crime victims in
this demographic fell from 1.7 to 1.3 percent from 2005 to 2013, but from 2013 to 2014 rose from 1.3
to 1.4 percent (US D.O.J, 6). Because of this slight increase in violent crimes against African
Americans, it is still important for us teachers to educate the younger generation about the disparity
our society has established between the different ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Other books on the topic give us an important but at the same time an all too common view of this
subject. Digging into the novel we see a continuing theme where black characters are being put down
by white society throughout the book, and there are even instances where members of the minority put
each other down. This vicious cycle is a form of learned submission that Morrison s characters
decided to accept as a given way of life. An example of this submission occurs when Morrison is
giving us a coherent description of the Breedlove family for the first time in the novel and we are
blatantly told that they are ugly. Despite the fact that Morrison makes it extremely clear that the
Breedloves are ugly, she begins to make contradictions when she states that you [could] look closely
and not [be able to] find the source (Morrison, 39) of their ugliness. Morrison is trying to point out the
confusing rules that society s beauty standards are based upon. She starts to become more coherent
when she explicitly points out that some mysterious all knowing master [gave] each one a cloak of
ugliness, and they accepted it without question (Morrison, 39). This omniscient overlord that Morrison
speaks of is the power structure established by the beauty standards which we continually agree to
uphold because of the silent contract in our heads that is remnant from our ancestor s transgressions
against the Black community. Education is the only means of taking this contract and ripping it in two;

An Explanation Of Why Sociologists Are Interested On Class
Class is important as it can determine various aspects that will have a significant impact and influence
on how people s lives are shaped. Feminists have argued for other things to be included such as social
divisions to show how they intersect with class. Economic inequalities can have an impact on class as
they can determine a person s status, wealth, income and lifestyle. Class is important as social
inequalities exists amongst the rich and poor. Important social factors include poverty, health and
education. A person s identity is just as important as their class. People may face discrimination due to
their identity, whether that may be due to their gender, age, ethnicity or disability. Social mobility is
where people are in a different social class now from which they were brought up in. However
sociologists argue that class is less important in contemporary society today than it once used to be.
The purpose of this essay is to provide an explanation on why sociologists are interested in class. This
assignment will define what class is and to what extent class matters. Other social divisions will be
explored in this assignment to show how they intersect with class. The social divisions which intersect
with class which will be discussed include economic and social inequalities, social mobility and
identity. The beliefs from well known theorists, Karl Marx and Max Weber who disagreed on the
nature of class, will also be included to support the main points which are

Invasion Of Osama Bin Laden
The invasion of Afghanistan (October 2001 December 2014) The invasion was triggered by the
September 11 attacks. It was intended to target terrorist mastermind Osama bin Laden s al Qaida
organization, which was based in the country, as well as the extreme fundamentalist Taliban
government that had ruled most of the country. Taliban is the ultraconservative political and religious
faction that ruled Afghanistan.
Barack Obama, the president in 2008, said this:
We did not ask for this fight. On September 11, 2001, nineteen men hijacked four airplanes and used
them to murder nearly 3,000 people. They struck at our military and economic nerve centers. They

U.S economy will eventually fall in the future or will they be even stand out highly than any country?
The answer is Yes, every country with its own level will eventually fall cause not every time we are

How Did King George III Have Been Avoided
Do you know what would have happened if King George III was more reasonable and listened to the
colonies? The American Revolution could have been avoided. The British government could have had
a better and productive role in the British colonies and King George III could have been more
reasonable to the British colonies and not tax as much as he did. If these things had happened,
America would be in a state of dominion under Great Britain until they gained their independence in a
more peaceful way. If the British government had a more active role in the British colonies, the
Revolution could have been avoided. This is because if the British government had listened to the
thoughts of the British colonies, there would be less of a need for war, taxes, and other forms of
fighting. Had Britain accepted the Second Continental Congress s Olive Branch Petition, the
Revolutionary War could have been avoided (Sparknotes). Had the ministers of the British consulted
with the leaders in the colonies, there would not have been such an argument and problems with taxes,
etc. King George III was not reasonable with the British colonies. This is not entirely his fault, though.
This is because King George III was diagnosed with a disease [Porphyria] that made him mentally
unstable (Timmons). Porphyria is a disease that causes ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

The Ethics Of The Bhopal Disaster
In the Business Ethics Foundation Terms class (September 2nd 2014), we discussed the ethical
implications of the Bhopal disaster on December 2nd and 3rd, 1983. A plant that belonged to Union
Carbide subsidiary had a chemical explosion, killing 10,000 lives (conservatively) and affecting the
livelihood of local and their descendants. Although many reasons have been offered up to try to
explain this disaster such as the poor establishment of the manufacturing plant, less stringent labor
laws, non exist environment laws, as well as the negligence in educating the public and medical
facilities in Bhopal about the fatality of the pesticide. It is my opinion that the government should also
have placed strict boundary rules to limit populations moving into the possible disaster zone. The
government of India s negligence lies in one or both of the following: not assessing the risk of
building a manufacturing plant close to a populated city, ignoring the assessed risk inherent in the
chemicals being manufactured, and jeopardizing the environment and population of Bhopal. This is
not to say that the Union Carbide and its subsidiary were blameless, however the Government of India
s lack of responsibility for its citizens can be proved when they underrepresented the victims in the
UCC s settlement actions in 1989. Due to these reasons, I will argue in the following paragraphs that
the Government of India has more responsibility than Union Carbide in not only the tragedy but also

Robert Frost sHome Burial, By Robert Frost
Home Burial
Robert Frost s poem Home Burial speaks of the tragedies in a couple s life. The theme of Home Burial
is centered around the death of a child. During the time period in which this poem took place it seems
that men did not show their feelings well. Home Burial demonstrates how one tragedy can cause
another to occur. The couple in this poem has lost a baby to death. The mother is grieving and it seems
she doesn t recover from this loss; parents who lose a child never forget, but most people do find ways
to cope and move on in life. The baby is buried in the family burial site and can be seen from a
window in the couple s home. Day after day she goes to the stairway window looking at the family
plot. Looking at the place where her child s body is buried continues the sadness she feels. But,
another emotion is contained in this wife and mother and that is anger and bitterness at her husband.
At first, the reason for her anger seems unknown. The reasoning starts to show when it says she
refused him any help, with the least stiffening of her neck and silence. (lines13 14) Their dialogue is
cold. What is it what? /Just that I see. / You don t, she challenged. /Tell me what it is. (lines18 19). In
the husband s first couple of lines and his last one, his attitude toward his wife seems insensitive. First
he tells her he wants to know why she keeps looking at through the window; then he tells her she must
tell him. Even though he ends the last part

Introduction We conducted our design review on Friday, May 13, 2016 with our professors and the
other teams from our DTC section in Room G205 of the Ford Motor Company Engineering Design
Center at 2:30 P.M. We presented the problem we were tasked with solving, our client s and user s
needs, and our mock up design, the Triple Threat . The Triple Threat is a system that places a structure
that holds three rolls of netting, one on the top and one along each side, next to a row of up 20
vehicles (see figure 32, and figure 33 on the following page). The netting is then deployed by rolling a
structure that is attached to the ends of the netting over the row of vehicles. In addition to asking for
general feedback, we asked those in attendance to address the issues of the potential stability of our
product along with the problem of hailstones piling atop the netting. Figure 32: Triple Threat Mock up

Thousand Cranes By Yasunari Kawabata
When it comes to emotions, there is always a reason to why one experiences them. It can be happiness
due to getting a favorite toy, jealousy at another s position, hatred due to one s actions, and so on.
Even sub categories are due to an experience bringing it forth. Such as suffering, one doesn t suffer
randomly, it happens because it was the effect of some cause. One of the biggest causes being
unfulfilled desire; depending on the significance of the desire the greater the suffering. In the novel
Thousand Cranes by Yasunari Kawabata there is this intricate web of suffering that occurs between the
main characters, Kikuji, his father s, his father s mistresses and Fumiko. All as an outcome of
unfulfilled desire. For Yasunari Kawabata, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

she never showed outward disdain for the mark on her chest, Kikuji s mother explains that any women
with such a mark would be self conscience. In addition, that dread would follow a woman, because
she would constantly feel fear that her husband would be disgusted by it. Also, that if she were to have
children they would be forced to suckle from that hideous mark, all this Chikako was aware of which
is why she never married. However, as a prostitute she had some semblance of fulfillment, since she
was able to complete that sexual desire. Yet, Kikuji s father s leaving her and choosing another

Evidence Based Decision Making ( Ebdm )
Evidence based decision making (EBDM) is defined as, a formalized approach to clinical care in
which the clinician, in consultation with the patient, uses the best scientific evidence available to make
decisions about clinical interventions needed to optimize personal oral health (Wilkins, Wyche, Boyd,
pp. 25, 2017). The PICO model of EBDM, will be used to determine the best treatment options given
the following clinical situation: For a 25 year old male, with a Class I on caries on #14, Class III caries

An alternative material to amalgam is resin composite. Resin composite materials are, complex blends
of polymerizable resins mixed with glass powder fillers (Direct and indirect restorative materials,
2003). Originally, this material was designed and intended for anterior restorations only. Today, resin
composite continues to be a preferred material of choice by dentists and patients, primarily because of
the esthetic appearance and improved strength of the material (Hatrick et al., 2010). Today, the dental
materials industry continues to evolve and has made tremendous gains on improving the mechanical
properties of resin composite. Due to quality improvement of the material, Class I and Class II
restorations are done using this material. (Alcaraz et al., 2014).
In a 2013, article published in the Journal of The American Dental Association (JADA), authors
discusses factors influencing the longevity of amalgam and resin composite restorations, over a 24
month period. The study was conducted by the National Dental Practice Based Research Network.
The data analyzed in this study included patient factors, practice factors, and dentist factors. Data
collection was done at the time the restoration was placed and annually thereafter (Mccracken et al.,
2013). The results of the cohort study determined the following factors

Too Much Power In George Orwell s 1984
There are some aspects that I think are most important to the book that connects to our everyday lives.
Power is the controlling of someone s actions by the government. Freedom is being able to do what
you want, how you want to do it. Privacy is having the ability to not have someone look through your
stuff without someone asking. These aspects connected more with the world because people are going
through difficulties with these things. Orwell s 1984 is relevant in the year 2016 because The United
States government and the Oceania government are similar in their use of freedom, restricted power,
and privacy for the citizens. The Oceanian government and the United States government use power to
have control over what people say, do and think. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The only recognized purpose of the marriage was to beget children for the service of the Party (Orwell
65). This explains that the only way for them to get married to one another is of they go to the
government and the government has to approve of it. This shows that the government has power of
their relationships. If the government don t like the relationship, then those people can t be together.
They had to have a purpose for getting married and the only real purpose was the children they would
make. The gay marriage paradox: Begging the government for a license to marry isn t freedom; it s
enslavement to Big Brother (Adams). On June 26, 2015, the United States of America legalized gay
marriage. You shouldn t have to knock on the door for you to get freedom. Based on John Locke s
idea, people should be inherited with natural rights and by restricting gay marriage limits those rights.
This shows that American and English societies are based on the same thing. The government treats
everybody the same when it comes to certain things. When the government did this, they had the
power to say who can marry who and what can marry what. It s enslavement to Big

The major war, at the Bronze Age, end of thirteenth century is described in the epic Iliad by Homer
that underlines suffering as a major theme as the effect of battles. It happened in the city of Troy due
to avenge the abduction of Helen, daughter of Zeus and wife of one of the Greek kings, by a Trojan

warrior in the poem fights in the battles, loses his best friend while his honor and integrity means so
much to him and this dilemma causes him suffering. Priam, king of Troy, suffers crucial loss of his

Sex Determination By Amplification Of Amelogenin Gene From...
Sex determination by amplification of Amelogenin gene from dental pulp tissue by PCR
Abstract
Introduction: Forensic odontology necessarily involves the application of dentistry along with various
other branches of sciences to resolve criminal cases with legal issues. Sex determination is a part of
forensic odontology and an en essential priority when traditional identification of the deceased
becomes impossible due to certain mishaps, including natural calamities, acts of war and terrorism or
criminal cases of homicide and mutilation of bodies.
Aim: To determine Sex by analysis of the Amelogenin gene using PCR method on DNA isolated from
dental pulp, which was exposed to various environmental conditions created artificially to mimic a
forensic scenario.
Materials and Method: This in vitro study was conducted by subjecting extracted teeth to various
conditions imitating a forensic scene, viz. desiccation at room temperatures, immersion in salt water,
burial in soil and even exposing to temperatures of 150 ºC, 250 ºC, 350 ºC. DNA was extracted from
dental pulp tissue and sex determination was achieved by amplification of the amelogenin gene
through AMEL gene based primers in PCR.
Result: Among all the samples used in this study, DNA could be extracted from all, except from those
that were subjected to a temperature of 350 ºC. DNA amplification and sex determination of the
samples were found to be accurate when compared to known data.
Conclusion: This study shows teeth to be

Elizabethan Poor Law Essay
The Elizabethan Poor Law was passed in 1601. This law enforced all church communities to annually
on Easter select a couple of head supervisors over the indigent. They were not compensated for their

were doing the work. This law helped keep order during that era and reduced the beggars and poverty
stricken in the streets. There were two kinds of help the outdoor and indoor help. The outdoor help
meant that if the needy still had their place of residence then they could acquire some cash or obtain

The But for Test and Balance of Probabilities Essay
The but for test and balance of probabilities are used to determine whether the negligent act was the
cause of injury. The but for test is ideal for cases like Barnett where but for the negligence of the
doctor the claimant would have died because of the irreversible implications of ingesting arsenic.
More complex cases require the balance of probabilities to illustrate the chance of recovery and the
diminished prospects as demonstrated in Wilsher where the injury could have been sustained from
multiple causes. The House was unable to delegate liability due to unclear evidence preventing causal

The European Court in Osman acknowledges the potential for policy concerns to be overridden in
certain circumstances which restrict a claimant s right to access the court. Ridenhalgh removed
blanket immunity for barristers who showed unjustifiable conduct, proving satisfactory as it did not
disturb the work ethics or restrict practice. Instead the immunity reduction ensured workers kept
within their duties realm and prevented actions ultra vires which guaranteed future claimants received
protection naturally expected from the profession. An Irish case Philip deemed liability for the loss of
chance in the absence of statistical data but through the misconduct of a solicitor who tampered with
documentation to hide his initial mistake. Illustrating the blanket immunity perceived is fictional as
misconduct is not tolerated. This judgement acts on reason of policy and justice but this necessity to
protect against misconduct prevents consistency of jurisprudence as the range of medical negligence
possibilities is indefinite and not quantifiable in a singular method such as the balance of probabilities.
Loss of chance dilutes causations without restriction. Philip is distinctive due to gross misconduct and
misdiagnosis whereas Gregg s case rests solely on misdiagnosis; because of the lack of fact and
dependence of hypothetical facts dependence on statistical data is unavoidable. The inconsistency is

War Between Europeans And Indians
Suspicion and hostility, branching from technological and cultural differences, as well as, mutual
feelings of being superior, have infused relations between Native Americans and non Natives in North
America. Intertribal conflicts among the Indians, and nationalistic rivalries, lacking faith, and
expansion desires on the part of non natives worsened these tensions. The resulting white and native
conflicts often took a particularly bad turn and resulted in the near destruction of the native
people(Native American). War between Europeans and Indians was common back in the 1600s. In
1622, the Powhatans nearly wiped out the already struggling Jamestown colony. Frustrated at the
continuing conflicts, Nathaniel Bacon and a group of whites destroyed the Pamunkey Indians before
leading an unsuccessful revolt against colonial authorities in 1676. Continuous wars also plagued
early Dutch colonies in New York. In New England, Puritan forces wiped out the Pequots in 1636, a
campaign s intensity that seemed to shape the future. Following attacks inspired by King Philip
against English settlements sparked a concerted response from the New England Confederation.

Keats To Autumn Essay
John Keats was an English romantic poet in the early 1800s. One of his best works To Autumn is
beautiful and lyrical, the words creating an entire scene painting a picture in our minds of great
imagery through words that create color, tone, and environment. The poem means much more than
just the description of the season. While some critics have considered it a static poem, there are others
who disagree with that assessment. The poem discusses time and the seasonal nature of life. The poem
can sometimes be thought of as symbolizing a life that has reached its peak and is drifting towards the
sleep of winter. The construction of the poem as a piece of language art has been done with skills that
are surprising and inventive. While it is ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The second verse describes the labor of autumn as the harvests are processed and the end of the long
cycle of the season is prepared. Autumn is a season of storing of grain, the pressing of apples to cider
and preparations that come with caring for the harvested food that must be tended to in order to
prepare for the long sleep of winter. Autumn is given human characteristics as it begins its long
journey towards the end of its day with all of the applications of labor overseen by the person that
represents the season. We can see this In the last phrase, Keats states And sometimes like a gleaner
thou dost keep Steady thy laden head across the brook Or by a cider press, with patient look, Thou
watchest the last oozings hours by hours (Nemoianu 205). The third verse uses the poet s tool of
personification of autumn, meaning he assigns human characteristics to the season itself. Keats tells
Autumn that she is just as beautiful as spring for the music she creates. The verse praises of the beauty
of Autumn, creating a sense of the color and warmth that exists even though age of the seasons has
arrived. The imagery has reds and yellows even though it is not specifically stated. There is the feeling
of sound that exists within the music of autumn. The way in which Keats presents the

Lottery Narrative Story
The morning of April 1st was sunny and bright; the ground was moist and flowers of vibrant colors
were blooming. The olive green trees were swaying in a gentle breeze and the river by the village was
teeming with fish. A rainbow glowed against the blue sky, catching every villagers attention. The
villagers of Shiveria had begun to assemble at the center of the village where the annual lottery was
being held. Because of the town s small population of 400 people, the lottery would probably take less
than 3 hours. The children ran from their homes, as they had the day off from school because of the
lottery. Bryan McCabe, a boy about 13, collected stones and filled up his entire backpack with them.
When they reached the village center, they placed all their rocks in a neat pyramid next to the broken
down church. Behind everyone stood Mr. Krahzi, silently watching from the back. He had participated
in the lottery for over 65 years, yet had never won again since his son Alex won 25 years ago. After
his 14 year old son won, he realized the faults of the lottery and begged everyone to stop the tradition,
but nobody listened. Everyone called him insane for wanting to stop the lottery and claimed he was
betraying every tradition they had. He realized it was no use trying to protest and became quiet but
deep inside he still silently despised the lottery. Soon, Mr. Falls, the mayor of the village, took out a
five legged wooden stool and placed it on a

How Did Alexander The Great Affect The Age Of The...
Imagine a world without splendorous leisure activities. The people of the Hellenistic Age most
certainly couldn t! The creation of their extravagant culture that focused on the enjoyment of life and
the understanding of human emotion is owed to Alexander the Great s conquest of Persia and his
decision to mix his native Greek culture with the cultures of the new lands he now owned in his vast
empire. This extremely intriguing age, which lasted for about 300 years, was responsible for many of
the ideas that are still upheld in today s culture, and the people of this time established many important
artistic and philosophical ideals that have lasted for thousands of years. The Hellenistic Age began
after the death of Alexander the Great in 323 BCE (atg timeline). His conquest of Persia after the
Battle of Gaugamela in 331 BCE technically spurred Hellenism, or the spreading of Greek culture
(adtp). Alexander the Great s empire of over seventy cities spread all the way from the west of the
Mediterranean to the east of Persia, and became a hotbed for the mixing of cultures (thought co).
People within this territory assimilated the Greek language, which then allowed for the spread of other
parts of Greek culture, like arts, philosophy, and literature (world of atg). After conquering Persia,
Alexander the Great began to introduce aspects of Greek culture through his new empire in many
different ways. He encouraged his soldiers to marry with Persian women in order to

the northwestern of Egypt. The northern Sinai coast is located within the rainy belt of Egypt; while the
aridity increases generally to the south (El Ghazawi, 1989). Rainfall is scarce and varies from place to
place and increases in the northeastern direction, ranging from about 30 mm/year in the southwest at
Ismailia to about 300 mm/year in the northeast at Rafah. The annual rainfall in northwest Sinai varies
between 36 to 54.8 mm/year and the total quantity of rainfall generally increases northward (El

aims at establishing a link between Nile Delta and North Sinai by El Salam Canal. The ongoing
project aims at reclamation of 400.000 feddans (Hafez, 2005 and Mohamed, 2013). Groundwater is

Toyota Manufacturing Liability And Negligence Regarding A...
Today s consumers, for the most part, consider buying a car one of the most important investments of
their life, next to buying their home. The average price for a new Toyota Motor Corporation vehicle
today is around $25,000 or more, with the company also manufacturing Lexus models. This solidifies
its rather large and costly importance in terms of budget for families and single consumers. As vehicle
technologies advance so do their expected safety ratings and features, which are often times important
selling points for both consumers and salesmen alike. However, there are still margins for error
regarding manufacturing and safety, which unfortunately results in loss of life at times for some
consumers, which puts Toyota at risk for being held liable concerning product liability and
subsequently negligence. One such case involving product liability and negligence concerning a
Toyota Motor Corp. vehicle is Saylor v. Toyota Motor Sales, U.S.A, Inc. In order to understand our
rights as consumers we will examine, the specifics of the Saylor v. Toyota case, the outcome
concerning product liability and negligence in the case, as well as our rights as consumers concerning
recalls on vehicles, and possible assistance offered for consumers. First a little background on the
Saylor v. Toyota Motor Corporation case. On August 28th 2009 while on a family outing in Lexus ES

Bushidō s Honor Culture
Shaun Gunter Bushidō: Honor Culture of Japan
Personal honor and behavior governed by a specific code are signature characteristics of Japan s
storied warrior scholars: the samurai. This code, known as Bushidō (literally Way of the Warrior ),
governed a way of life that separated the samurai from the rest of Japanese society. However, Bushidō
would, ultimately, influence the entire nation. This paper examines the origins, functions, and impact
of Bushidō in the context of samurai culture and contemporary Japanese thought. To understand
Bushidō, it is necessary to comprehend the context in which it was formed by its adherents the
samurai. The samurai were the warriors of ancient Japan who, though they are often romanticized, did

Media Coverage On The Vietnam War
The Vietnam War introduced many new forms of technology on and off of the battlefield. Increased
weaponry helped shape the outcome of the war, but media coverage also played a large role in
representing the news and opinions of the war. Viet Thanh Nguyen s The Sympathizer helps illustrate
how the media influences and spreads the opinions of the people during the Vietnam War. The war
media, which includes newspapers, movies, and most importantly television, caters towards its
audience. What the media publishes shapes the public opinion, and the media creates their stance
based on the profit they receive.
The media reports on material that will produce the largest viewership. War coverage is the most
profitable form of news that these news sites cover, so when a war is being fought, they cover the war
almost exclusively to gain a large audience. CNN saved their company from going bankrupt by
exclusively showing coverage of the Iraq War in 1991; now they are a multibillion dollar business
venture. Television media such as CNN and FOX News cover positive stories and news, but the
negative news gains them the largest audience, which translates to the largest revenue. The primary
drive for these media networks is profit and market shares rather than upholding high journalistic
standards. The government knows how popular these shows are during war and they use these shows
to their advantage to sway the public opinions and support of the war. They can t necessarily control

Political Changes In The 1920s
Politics:
Politically, the 1920s could be described as pro business and anti union. These two main principles of
our political time period directly contrast that of the error of reforms pre war America was in. Coming
into this decade, the war has come to an end and now the U.S believes it is time for a hedonistic
interlude. A time of less reforms and more business. Post war America is a start of a new chapter for
our young country which obviously comes with its own set of problems.
After the war, our former president Woodrow Wilson brings forth the idea of the League of Nations
which begins to split the countries population depending on their political views of the super pact.

Popular culture in the 1920s is characterized by innovation in film, visual art and architecture, radio,

amendment is passed in 1920, giving women the right to vote, and women began to pursue both
family life and careers of their own. One of the most enduring images of the 1920s is that of the
flapper, a young woman with short hair, wearing a knee length dress, rolled up stockings, and
unbuttoned rain boots that flapped when she walks. Commercial radio began to be a big part in the
1920s when Pittsburgh station KDKA broadcasted the results of the presidential election. As the

Exothermic Reaction Lab
Science Investigation:
Research Question:
To determine how does the surface area of Magnesium affects the temperature of exothermic
reactions?
Hypothesis:
If the surface area of the Magnesium is increased, then the temperature of exothermic reaction
(Hydrochloric acid) will decrease. In this case, 1 piece of magnesium will have the highest
temperature after 2 minutes. This is because, the surface area of the 1 magnesium strip being the least
and therefore it will take less time for the 1 magnesium strip to react and will therefore increase in
heat faster. Therefore the effect of the temperature of exothermic reaction directly relates to the
surface area, because it takes a certain amount of time to dissolve all the magnesium, and the chemical

Also because the time limit is so less, it doesn t give time for the least amount of surface area s (1 strip
of magnesium s) chemical reaction to cool down or neutralize, so therefore making it the highest in
temperature. The functioning of the method wasn t accurate enough. One contributor for the
experiment to not be accurate enough was the use of the same test tube for the 4 trials. Each trial was
done immediately after each other, so the test tubes were relatively hot, and contained a little bit of
solution from the last experiment. This therefore affected the results, because the temperature would
be higher than the last trial. The effect of this error can be reduced with the help of using 16 test tubes
instead of 4. This would erase the possibilities of the test tube being hot, or having any traces of the
last trial done. Also another contributor was for the experiment to not be accurate enough was the time
the Magnesium strips were put in the test tubes. Because of the lack of hands, it was impossible, or
very difficult to put all the magnesium strips in the test tubes at the exact same time. This would affect
the result making it an unfair test. This is because each trial would have had a different time for the
magnesium to be dropped in test tubes. The effect of this error can be reduced with the help of extra
helpers so that the magnesium strips can be placed in the test tubes

Tesco s efficiency. It will also show the extent to which Tesco may or may not appeal to potential
investors after the past financial year. In the current economic situation facing the country it s natural

This shows a slight negative compared with the previous year, as being to obtain cash quicker means
the business is more liquid and therefore has a better cash flow. The current ratio is a financial ratio
that measures whether a firm has enough resources to pay its debts over the next 12 months. It
compares a firm s current assets to its current liabilities. The businesses current ratio showed the same
figure of 0.7:1 in 2009 as well as 2010. This won t be a concern to Tesco with them selling food
products they will not hold onto stock for very long due to the fact it will go off. So this low figure
just represents the sort of market Tesco operates in. Gearing Gearing represents the percentage of a
business that has been financed from borrowing money rather than from investors or shareholders. In
2009 Tesco s gearing was 74% but this was reduced significantly in 2010 to 54%. Being highly geared
is often seen as being a problem so the figure seen in 2009 can be viewed as a negative. However in
2009 Tesco underwent a huge expansion process into different countries which is a large venture and
would therefore require a lot of financial backing for it to actually work. This point shows why the
figure in 2009 was so high as borrowing money would be a good way of providing the financial
backing needed to get up and running in the various different places. In 2010 the figure falls to 54% a
significant decrease which shows during that year Tesco must

The Stereotypes Of African Americans
African Americans have been oppressed ever since slavery was abolished and it seems to be a never
ending cycle. White Americans oppressed the black population because they needed a way to remind
everyone of their so called supremacy. They did this through many different ways but the most
common were by theatrical performances. Ever since the minstrelsy shows the negative stereotypes of
African Americans seem to keep growing. According to the book Toms, Coons, Mulattoes, Mammies,
and Bucks, in almost every American movie in which a black had appeared, filmmakers had been
trying to maintain the myth that Negroes were naturally rhythmic and natural born entertainers.
There are many stereotypes that the film industry will never get tired of enforcing. In 2002 the film
Paid In Full was released. Paid In Full was a film about a young man who was working in a cleaning
shop but he encounters a drug dealer. The drug dealer convinces him to join and he becomes one of
the top leaders of the drug cartel. He also recruits his friends and they join him as well. The uncle of
the protagonist asks him for money but he refuses to give him some. The uncle kidnaps Ace, the
protagonist s brother, and eventually kills him because Ace was not able to recruit the amount of
money that his uncle was demanding. This film sends the negative message that African Americans
will go to any extend, betraying their own family members, in order to obtain power and money.
As the movie industry progresses

The collected water can be used for drinking, for irrigation, for livestock, if collected in a container,
and then filtered. Rainwater collection system is very convenient, because it is simple to understand,

goes into the tank or tank if you want to use the water in the house, such as for drinking, it will pass
through the filter. for more complex systems requires a system of regulation There is around 1000 liter
on each square meter a year, so, there is nearly 100 000 liter rainwater to collect a year on an average
roof, what means 217 litter of water a day (Aramo, 2012). According to the UK Rainwater Harvesting

Conclusion Water is a finite resource. These techniques are not suitable for all arid regions, only some
can work for some regions. For example, Western Sahara can use desalination, but it can t use
rainwater, because there is no rain there or groundwater exploitation. Desalination of water has
become more available in the last decade, cost are falling rapidly, but it still costs more than extraction
of groundwater due to the huge costs required to remove the salt, so that the water was fit for drinking
and of its further use. Government in arid regions, when decide how to get and clean out water, now

New Jersey. Those streets were highly influenced by gang activity, drugs and poverty. Due to the
conditions that stood before the young boys, they were forced to look to their grimy environment for

  • 2. The Characteristics Of Growing Up In The 21st Century Growing up in the 21st century, it can be very eye opening and intimidating. A majority of people will start their day by sitting down and watching the news including stories about how seven just died from a stabbing or another bomb was dropped in the Middle East. As I continue to grow up, I start to notice the things that are not being talked about, and more specifically, the topics on news. They will very rarely will pick a positive story over any negative one. The people that make the world a better place are constantly lost in the shadows of the inconsiderate acts of inhumanity everyday. There is a small amount of people who are praised or even recognized for their generous actions, however, there are numerous people that should get this recognition. For children in this century, having a role model is very important because that inspires them to become better people, to make a stand for what they believe in, or believe they have a voice. When one becomes considered an admirable person, there are numerous traits that make them who they are. Selflessness is almost always lost in society due to the idea of fame and fortune. A selfless person stands out because they are putting others before themselves, which is not common in the world. They believe other people are just as important as them, and with selflessness comes a trickle of other traits like being compassionate and generous. There are many other characteristics that can stand out in a person, and in addition to ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 3. Morality Is The Quality Of Being Morally Right Morality is the quality of being morally right. Thoreau views morality as acting on one s conscience. Conscience is a faculty that God gives to every man so he can discern between right and wrong. Its verdicts are consistent across different circumstances, and across time. Therefore, morality is absolute. In this section, Thoreau explores ways in which people justify not acting according to their consciences. However, Thoreau maintains the conviction that nothing can excuse withholding what is morally right. Thoreau focuses his point on patrons of virtue. A patron of virtue is a person who understands and supports the right, but does not act on what he knows. He introduces this group using a verse, which reads, A drab of state, a ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The majority will likely only abolish slavery through law when their culture has already deemed it null. Thoreau believes only men who live by conscience can actually abolish slavery. These men show their desires in their votes, but their choices to not need to prevail. These men know that only their individual actions on conscience can cause the change they know is right. Thoreau also believes that expediency cannot substitute for morality. He cites the philosopher William Paley, who claims that the justice of every particular case of resistance is reduced to a computation of the quantity of the danger and grievance on the one side, and of the probability and expense of redressing it on the other (79). Paley argues that the morally correct action in any scenario requires only comparing the costs o the actions on either side. Thoreau understands that many apply Paley s theory to cases dealing with morality, which is evident when he calls Paley a common authority with many on moral questions (79). Those who would use Paley s statement as a way to judge morally correct action would not disown the United States government for its acceptance of slavery, because it would cause unnecessary grievance on their own part, and inconvenience to the authorities. However, Thoreau says that Paley s view only applies where the rule of expediency applies, or where only non moral questions ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 4. Racism In Pecola Breedlove s The Bluest Eye A common thought process that most people have been experiencing within the past decade is the idea that racism is an occurrence of the past. This couldn t be further from the truth. Overall violent crime has been declining since 2005, but the percentage of violent crime victims amongst the African American population hasn t exactly followed this pattern. The percentage of violent crime victims in this demographic fell from 1.7 to 1.3 percent from 2005 to 2013, but from 2013 to 2014 rose from 1.3 to 1.4 percent (US D.O.J, 6). Because of this slight increase in violent crimes against African Americans, it is still important for us teachers to educate the younger generation about the disparity our society has established between the different ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Other books on the topic give us an important but at the same time an all too common view of this subject. Digging into the novel we see a continuing theme where black characters are being put down by white society throughout the book, and there are even instances where members of the minority put each other down. This vicious cycle is a form of learned submission that Morrison s characters decided to accept as a given way of life. An example of this submission occurs when Morrison is giving us a coherent description of the Breedlove family for the first time in the novel and we are blatantly told that they are ugly. Despite the fact that Morrison makes it extremely clear that the Breedloves are ugly, she begins to make contradictions when she states that you [could] look closely and not [be able to] find the source (Morrison, 39) of their ugliness. Morrison is trying to point out the confusing rules that society s beauty standards are based upon. She starts to become more coherent when she explicitly points out that some mysterious all knowing master [gave] each one a cloak of ugliness, and they accepted it without question (Morrison, 39). This omniscient overlord that Morrison speaks of is the power structure established by the beauty standards which we continually agree to uphold because of the silent contract in our heads that is remnant from our ancestor s transgressions against the Black community. Education is the only means of taking this contract and ripping it in two; supplementing with The Bluest Eye ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 5. An Explanation Of Why Sociologists Are Interested On Class Class is important as it can determine various aspects that will have a significant impact and influence on how people s lives are shaped. Feminists have argued for other things to be included such as social divisions to show how they intersect with class. Economic inequalities can have an impact on class as they can determine a person s status, wealth, income and lifestyle. Class is important as social inequalities exists amongst the rich and poor. Important social factors include poverty, health and education. A person s identity is just as important as their class. People may face discrimination due to their identity, whether that may be due to their gender, age, ethnicity or disability. Social mobility is where people are in a different social class now from which they were brought up in. However sociologists argue that class is less important in contemporary society today than it once used to be. The purpose of this essay is to provide an explanation on why sociologists are interested in class. This assignment will define what class is and to what extent class matters. Other social divisions will be explored in this assignment to show how they intersect with class. The social divisions which intersect with class which will be discussed include economic and social inequalities, social mobility and identity. The beliefs from well known theorists, Karl Marx and Max Weber who disagreed on the nature of class, will also be included to support the main points which are ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

It was intended to target terrorist mastermind Osama bin Laden s al Qaida organization, which was based in the country, as well as the extreme fundamentalist Taliban government that had ruled most of the country. Taliban is the ultraconservative political and religious faction that ruled Afghanistan. Barack Obama, the president in 2008, said this: We did not ask for this fight. The answer is Yes, every country with its own level will eventually fall cause not every time we are success in our own thoughts. Some might goes higher and some might goes lower as we expected. • 8. How Did King George III Have Been Avoided Do you know what would have happened if King George III was more reasonable and listened to the colonies? The American Revolution could have been avoided. The British government could have had a better and productive role in the British colonies and King George III could have been more reasonable to the British colonies and not tax as much as he did. If these things had happened, America would be in a state of dominion under Great Britain until they gained their independence in a more peaceful way. If the British government had a more active role in the British colonies, the Revolution could have been avoided. This is because if the British government had listened to the thoughts of the British colonies, there would be less of a need for war, taxes, and other forms of fighting. Had Britain accepted the Second Continental Congress s Olive Branch Petition, the Revolutionary War could have been avoided (Sparknotes). Had the ministers of the British consulted with the leaders in the colonies, there would not have been such an argument and problems with taxes, etc. King George III was not reasonable with the British colonies. This is not entirely his fault, though. This is because King George III was diagnosed with a disease [Porphyria] that made him mentally unstable (Timmons). Porphyria is a disease that causes ... • 10. The Ethics Of The Bhopal Disaster In the Business Ethics Foundation Terms class (September 2nd 2014), we discussed the ethical implications of the Bhopal disaster on December 2nd and 3rd, 1983. A plant that belonged to Union Carbide subsidiary had a chemical explosion, killing 10,000 lives (conservatively) and affecting the livelihood of local and their descendants. Although many reasons have been offered up to try to explain this disaster such as the poor establishment of the manufacturing plant, less stringent labor laws, non exist environment laws, as well as the negligence in educating the public and medical facilities in Bhopal about the fatality of the pesticide. It is my opinion that the government should also have placed strict boundary rules to limit populations moving into the possible disaster zone. The government of India s negligence lies in one or both of the following: not assessing the risk of building a manufacturing plant close to a populated city, ignoring the assessed risk inherent in the chemicals being manufactured, and jeopardizing the environment and population of Bhopal. This is not to say that the Union Carbide and its subsidiary were blameless, however the Government of India s lack of responsibility for its citizens can be proved when they underrepresented the victims in the UCC s settlement actions in 1989. Due to these reasons, I will argue in the following paragraphs that the Government of India has more responsibility than Union Carbide in not only the tragedy but also for ... • 11. Robert Frost sHome Burial, By Robert Frost Home Burial Robert Frost s poem Home Burial speaks of the tragedies in a couple s life. The theme of Home Burial is centered around the death of a child. During the time period in which this poem took place it seems that men did not show their feelings well. Home Burial demonstrates how one tragedy can cause another to occur. The couple in this poem has lost a baby to death. The mother is grieving and it seems she doesn t recover from this loss; parents who lose a child never forget, but most people do find ways to cope and move on in life. The baby is buried in the family burial site and can be seen from a window in the couple s home. Day after day she goes to the stairway window looking at the family plot. Looking at the place where her child s body is buried continues the sadness she feels. But, another emotion is contained in this wife and mother and that is anger and bitterness at her husband. At first, the reason for her anger seems unknown. The reasoning starts to show when it says she refused him any help, with the least stiffening of her neck and silence. (lines13 14) Their dialogue is cold. What is it what? /Just that I see. / You don t, she challenged. /Tell me what it is. (lines18 19). In the husband s first couple of lines and his last one, his attitude toward his wife seems insensitive. Introduction We conducted our design review on Friday, May 13, 2016 with our professors and the other teams from our DTC section in Room G205 of the Ford Motor Company Engineering Design Center at 2:30 P.M. We presented the problem we were tasked with solving, our client s and user s needs, and our mock up design, the Triple Threat . The Triple Threat is a system that places a structure that holds three rolls of netting, one on the top and one along each side, next to a row of up 20 vehicles (see figure 32, and figure 33 on the following page). The netting is then deployed by rolling a structure that is attached to the ends of the netting over the row of vehicles. In addition to asking for general feedback, we asked those in attendance to address the issues of the potential stability of our product along with the problem of hailstones piling atop the netting. Figure 32: Triple Threat Mock up Not Deployed Figure 33: Triple Threat Mock up Deployed Design Review Results Our design review yielded many suggestions and criticisms, as well as general comments. Sex determination by amplification of Amelogenin gene from dental pulp tissue by PCR Abstract Introduction: Forensic odontology necessarily involves the application of dentistry along with various other branches of sciences to resolve criminal cases with legal issues. Sex determination is a part of forensic odontology and an en essential priority when traditional identification of the deceased becomes impossible due to certain mishaps, including natural calamities, acts of war and terrorism or criminal cases of homicide and mutilation of bodies. Aim: To determine Sex by analysis of the Amelogenin gene using PCR method on DNA isolated from dental pulp, which was exposed to various environmental conditions created artificially to mimic a forensic scenario. Materials and Method: This in vitro study was conducted by subjecting extracted teeth to various conditions imitating a forensic scene, viz. desiccation at room temperatures, immersion in salt water, burial in soil and even exposing to temperatures of 150 ºC, 250 ºC, 350 ºC. DNA was extracted from dental pulp tissue and sex determination was achieved by amplification of the amelogenin gene through AMEL gene based primers in PCR. Result: Among all the samples used in this study, DNA could be extracted from all, except from those that were subjected to a temperature of 350 ºC. DNA amplification and sex determination of the samples were found to be accurate when compared to known data. Conclusion: This study shows teeth to be ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

War Between Europeans And Indians Suspicion and hostility, branching from technological and cultural differences, as well as, mutual feelings of being superior, have infused relations between Native Americans and non Natives in North America. Intertribal conflicts among the Indians, and nationalistic rivalries, lacking faith, and expansion desires on the part of non natives worsened these tensions. The resulting white and native conflicts often took a particularly bad turn and resulted in the near destruction of the native people(Native American). War between Europeans and Indians was common back in the 1600s. In 1622, the Powhatans nearly wiped out the already struggling Jamestown colony. Frustrated at the continuing conflicts, Nathaniel Bacon and a group of whites destroyed the Pamunkey Indians before leading an unsuccessful revolt against colonial authorities in 1676. Continuous wars also plagued early Dutch colonies in New York. In New England, Puritan forces wiped out the Pequots in 1636, a campaign s intensity that seemed to shape the future. Following attacks inspired by King Philip against English settlements sparked a concerted response from the New England Confederation. Employing Indian partnerships and a scorched earth policy, the colonists nearly wiped out the Narragansetts, Wampanoag, and Nipmuck tribes in 1675 and1676. The poem means much more than just the description of the season. While some critics have considered it a static poem, there are others who disagree with that assessment. The poem discusses time and the seasonal nature of life. The poem can sometimes be thought of as symbolizing a life that has reached its peak and is drifting towards the sleep of winter. Autumn is a season of storing of grain, the pressing of apples to cider and preparations that come with caring for the harvested food that must be tended to in order to prepare for the long sleep of winter. Autumn is given human characteristics as it begins its long journey towards the end of its day with all of the applications of labor overseen by the person that represents the season. We can see this In the last phrase, Keats states And sometimes like a gleaner thou dost keep Steady thy laden head across the brook Or by a cider press, with patient look, Thou watchest the last oozings hours by hours (Nemoianu 205). The third verse uses the poet s tool of personification of autumn, meaning he assigns human characteristics to the season itself. The creation of their extravagant culture that focused on the enjoyment of life and the understanding of human emotion is owed to Alexander the Great s conquest of Persia and his decision to mix his native Greek culture with the cultures of the new lands he now owned in his vast empire. This extremely intriguing age, which lasted for about 300 years, was responsible for many of the ideas that are still upheld in today s culture, and the people of this time established many important artistic and philosophical ideals that have lasted for thousands of years. The Hellenistic Age began after the death of Alexander the Great in 323 BCE (atg timeline). His conquest of Persia after the Battle of Gaugamela in 331 BCE technically spurred Hellenism, or the spreading of Greek culture (adtp). Alexander the Great s empire of over seventy cities spread all the way from the west of the Mediterranean to the east of Persia, and became a hotbed for the mixing of cultures (thought co). People within this territory assimilated the Greek language, which then allowed for the spread of other parts of Greek culture, like arts, philosophy, and literature (world of atg). The functioning of the method wasn t accurate enough. One contributor for the experiment to not be accurate enough was the use of the same test tube for the 4 trials. Each trial was done immediately after each other, so the test tubes were relatively hot, and contained a little bit of solution from the last experiment. This therefore affected the results, because the temperature would be higher than the last trial. The effect of this error can be reduced with the help of using 16 test tubes instead of 4. This would erase the possibilities of the test tube being hot, or having any traces of the last trial done. Also another contributor was for the experiment to not be accurate enough was the time the Magnesium strips were put in the test tubes. Because of the lack of hands, it was impossible, or very difficult to put all the magnesium strips in the test tubes at the exact same time. This would affect the result making it an unfair test. This is because each trial would have had a different time for the magnesium to be dropped in test tubes. The effect of this error can be reduced with the help of extra helpers so that the magnesium strips can be placed in the test tubes ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 34. Tesco Financial Analysis The following report contains a financial analysis of Tesco PLC and its current trading position for the financial year ending February 2010. The data that has been analysed will be compared with the previous year s finances. It will include information such as performance, the businesses liquidity, and Tesco s efficiency. It will also show the extent to which Tesco may or may not appeal to potential investors after the past financial year. This shows a slight negative compared with the previous year, as being to obtain cash quicker means the business is more liquid and therefore has a better cash flow. The current ratio is a financial ratio that measures whether a firm has enough resources to pay its debts over the next 12 months. It compares a firm s current assets to its current liabilities. The businesses current ratio showed the same figure of 0.7:1 in 2009 as well as 2010. This won t be a concern to Tesco with them selling food products they will not hold onto stock for very long due to the fact it will go off. So this low figure just represents the sort of market Tesco operates in. Gearing Gearing represents the percentage of a business that has been financed from borrowing money rather than from investors or shareholders. In 2009 Tesco s gearing was 74% but this was reduced significantly in 2010 to 54%. Being highly geared is often seen as being a problem so the figure seen in 2009 can be viewed as a negative. However in 2009 Tesco underwent a huge expansion process into different countries which is a large venture and would therefore require a lot of financial backing for it to actually work. This point shows why the figure in 2009 was so high as borrowing money would be a good way of providing the financial backing needed to get up and running in the various different places. In 2010 the figure falls to 54% a significant decrease which shows during that year Tesco must ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 35. The Stereotypes Of African Americans African Americans have been oppressed ever since slavery was abolished and it seems to be a never ending cycle. White Americans oppressed the black population because they needed a way to remind everyone of their so called supremacy. They did this through many different ways but the most common were by theatrical performances. Ever since the minstrelsy shows the negative stereotypes of African Americans seem to keep growing. According to the book Toms, Coons, Mulattoes, Mammies, and Bucks, in almost every American movie in which a black had appeared, filmmakers had been trying to maintain the myth that Negroes were naturally rhythmic and natural born entertainers. There are many stereotypes that the film industry will never get tired of enforcing. In 2002 the film Paid In Full was released. Paid In Full was a film about a young man who was working in a cleaning shop but he encounters a drug dealer. The drug dealer convinces him to join and he becomes one of the top leaders of the drug cartel. He also recruits his friends and they join him as well. The uncle of the protagonist asks him for money but he refuses to give him some. The uncle kidnaps Ace, the protagonist s brother, and eventually kills him because Ace was not able to recruit the amount of money that his uncle was demanding. This film sends the negative message that African Americans will go to any extend, betraying their own family members, in order to obtain power and money. As the movie industry progresses ... Rainwater collection system is very convenient, because it is simple to understand, installation and operation. The principle of operation is simple. Water from the roof to the drain pipe goes into the tank or tank if you want to use the water in the house, such as for drinking, it will pass through the filter. for more complex systems requires a system of regulation There is around 1000 liter on each square meter a year, so, there is nearly 100 000 liter rainwater to collect a year on an average roof, what means 217 litter of water a day (Aramo, 2012). According to the UK Rainwater Harvesting Association good quality domestic system cost between $3000 and $4000 4.0 Recommendations and Conclusion Water is a finite resource. These techniques are not suitable for all arid regions, only some can work for some regions. For example, Western Sahara can use desalination, but it can t use rainwater, because there is no rain there or groundwater exploitation. Desalination of water has become more available in the last decade, cost are falling rapidly, but it still costs more than extraction of groundwater due to the huge costs required to remove the salt, so that the water was fit for drinking and of its further use.
