2. I like this font for the masthead as it is bold and the
scratchiness on it makes it edgy and therefore somewhat suits
the indie rock genre. However, this font may not fit specifically
into the indie genre because the blur panning across the text,
looks very violent, scratchy and somewhat sinister making this
font more suited to the rock genre rather than indie.
3. This font stands out and is different so it would be
recognizable as my magazine. However, it is quite sharp
and so it wouldn't’t suit the indie genre as well and some
of the other fonts. Also, it may not be easy enough to read
and as a masthead or body copy.
4. This would be a good font for my masthead as it is
unique and clear. However, it may not bold enough to
stand out against the images and other graphic features
and text tat I will have on my front cover. Maybe I could
use it as the body copy in the contents or double page
spread.
5. This font for either the body copy or masthead would be
good as its bold and eye-catching especially once it is In
the colour scheme I have decided. However, don’t think
I will use this font as it is quite comic book like so it may
not represent my magazine and the genre of Indie.
6. This writing is quite informal and would be
ideal for the text on the double page spread or
the text on the contents page as it is accessible
and easy to read.
7. This would be ideal for the body copy as I want the masthead to
be spaced out and clear at the top of the page so it is not
suitable for that but this font for the body copy is ‘out there’
and the splatters, sharpness and scruffiness of it represents
Indie well and it will be clear what sort of music magazine it is.
8. I like this font because it is clear, bold and powerful.
It stand out and would be good for a masthead.
However, it may portray more of a rock genre
instead of more of an indie rock genre that my
magazine is about.
9. This font is good for the body copy on the
contents page and double page spread. As it
is informal and clear so it would be ideal for
the main text in an article.
