1. Masthead designs
This masthead design is quite simple but very
clear. It is a striking font however I do not feel
that it would match the genre of my magazine.
As my magazine is RNB genre, I think that this
would be more suitable if it were on a house
music magazine as that is the style it creates.
This masthead title is quite an urban design. I
think it looks similar to graffiti therefore I think
it would suit the cover of a grime magazine.
Although the design is good and very eye-
catching, it doesn’t represent the RNB genre
which I need for my magazine.
This text is very stylish and I think it could
represent the RNB/Hip hop genre that I am
looking for. However, the text is not very bold
therefore I do not think it would catch the
reader’s attention. I think for my magazine I
would need a font which stands out better.
This text is much bolder however I do not think
that this text would fit in well on my magazine
cover. It would be more suited for a rock or
punk magazine as the jagged edges, for me
reflect this genre rather than RNB or hip hop
music.
I am going to be using this font style for my
magazine cover as it is extremely bold and eye
catching but a very simple text design. I think it
fits in well with the genre of my magazine
which is RNB and will look good on the cover. I
will change the colour of the masthead to pink
and blue which will make the masthead stand
out even more.
