2. Style Sheet
– Masthead
Planning
Ciretone(Pulse Sans Virgin) – This font would be suitable for a
music magazine due to the pulse going through the letters. However, the
disorganised nature of the font makes it seem more suitable for a magazine about
rock & metal music which is not the main focus of my magazine.
Ciretone (Prisma) – I like this font as it is simple and easy to read.
However, the font seems a little too retro for the genres and themes of my
magazine as it will focus on newer music rather than music from an older time
period.
cIrEtOnE(Cheatin) – I like this font for the contrast between the
letters and the unconventional design when compared to other magazine fonts.
However the font may be hard to understand for some readers which isn’t good for
the first thing they look at on a magazine.
Ciretone(Stijla) – I like this font due to it’s simplistic but
unconventional design. However it suffers from a similar problem to the previous
font as it may be hard to read for some readers. I like this font enough, however,
and I will use this font for the masthead of my magazine.
3. Style Sheet
– Fonts
Heading(Agency FB) –This font is both easy to read and
different enough to make it stand out, which is useful as this font
will start most of Ciretone’s articles.
(Kozuka Gothic Pro M) – This font is very simple and
plain looking, which makes it suitable for a subtitle as
Main text of the magazine (Cambria) – This
font is more formal than the other fonts chosen for my magazine as
it is a standard Serif font. This makes it suitable for the main text as
it will make up the bulk of the text inside the magazine.
“Pull Quotes” (Aharoni) – This font is aesthetically
different in comparison to the other fonts as it is a lot bolder and
more prominent than the other fonts. This font will help make the
quotes stand out due to the stark contrast between this font and the
rest.
