General Information about Bangladesh
Bangladesh is consisted of a total land area of 147570 km² with hilly areas of 17,342 km² (8.5% of total area of Bangladesh).
Chattagram Hill tracts is the wide ranging hilly area in the southeastern part of the country. Rangamati, Bandarban and Khagrachari are three unique geographical and cultural landscape administrative districts in this region.
Landslides are a common hazard in the Chittagong Hill Districts (CHD) of Bangladesh. The communities that live on dangerous hill slopes in CHD repeatedly experience landslide hazards during the monsoon season, with casualties, economic losses and property damage.
In this study, hydrological modeling is conducted for the Agusan River Basin (ARB) in Mindanao, Philippines using the Hydrological Simulation Program-Fortran (HSPF) model. The first major objective is to build the HSPF model and the second investigated the streamflow responses at nineteen (19) critical river outlets subjected to climate change and land use change scenarios.

The seeds were dehydrated until a constant mass respectively in a drying oven and a microwawe oven. The temperatures and the powers of drying are respectively: 50, 60 and 70°C and 140, 280 and 420 W. The results show that the curves of drying of seeds of Nephelium lappaceum do not present a phase of constant kinetics. The coefficients of diffusion vary between 2.09.10-8 to 2.98. 10-8m-2/s in the interval of 50°C at 70°C and between 4.83×10-07 at 9.04×10-07 m-8/s for the powers going of 140 W with 420 W the relation between Arrhenius and a value of energy of activation of 16.49 kJ. mol-1 expressed the effect of the temperature on effective diffusivity.

2017
• FloodList reported that, as of 17 January, 4 people had

their homes. Cagayan de Oro City, in the province of
Misamis Oriental, received at least one month’s worth of
rain within 24 hours.
• On 22 January, a second Low Pressure Area (LPA)
entered the Philippines. Heavy rain once again resulted
in severe flooding to parts of Mindanao, especially the
provinces of Agusan del Sur and Compostela Valley.
38. A third LPA followed on 27 January bringing
further heavy rainfall to Mindanao as it
interacted with the tail-end of a cold front. The
Caraga Region was one of the worst affected
areas.
A recent report by the International Federation
of Red Cross And Red Crescent Societies (IFRC)
says that there were 9 deaths in total. The
flooding had damaged more than 1,300 homes
and displaced at least 334,000 people. A total of
586 houses in the towns of La Paz and Trento
(Agusan del Sur province) were damaged.
