At Aalborg University PhD students are required to give a 1 Year progress report. A professor (different from supervisor) acts as opponent. A discussion about the project usually follows with other professors and students. In my case there were 15 people and I obtained critical feedback for my project. I welcome any idea.

He discussed the concept of quality improvement, emphasizing its applicability to various aspects of life, including personal, project, and program improvements. He defined quality as doing the right thing at the right time in the right way to achieve the best possible results and discussed the concept of the "gap" between what we know and what we do, and how this gap represents the areas we need to improve. He explained the scientific approach to quality improvement, which involves systematic performance analysis, testing and learning, and implementing change ideas. He also highlighted the importance of client focus and a team approach to quality improvement.

We all have good and bad thoughts from time to time and situation to situation. We are bombarded daily with spiraling thoughts(both negative and positive) creating all-consuming feel , making us difficult to manage with associated suffering. Good thoughts are like our Mob Signal (Positive thought) amidst noise(negative thought) in the atmosphere. Negative thoughts like noise outweigh positive thoughts. These thoughts often create unwanted confusion, trouble, stress and frustration in our mind as well as chaos in our physical world. Negative thoughts are also known as “distorted thinking”.
2024.06.01 Introducing a competency framework for languag learning materials ...Sandy Millin
http://sandymillin.wordpress.com/iateflwebinar2024
Published classroom materials form the basis of syllabuses, drive teacher professional development, and have a potentially huge influence on learners, teachers and education systems. All teachers also create their own materials, whether a few sentences on a blackboard, a highly-structured fully-realised online course, or anything in between. Despite this, the knowledge and skills needed to create effective language learning materials are rarely part of teacher training, and are mostly learnt by trial and error.
Knowledge and skills frameworks, generally called competency frameworks, for ELT teachers, trainers and managers have existed for a few years now. However, until I created one for my MA dissertation, there wasn’t one drawing together what we need to know and do to be able to effectively produce language learning materials.
This webinar will introduce you to my framework, highlighting the key competencies I identified from my research. It will also show how anybody involved in language teaching (any language, not just English!), teacher training, managing schools or developing language learning materials can benefit from using the framework.

Operation “Blue Star” is the only event in the history of Independent India where the state went into war with its own people. Even after about 40 years it is not clear if it was culmination of states anger over people of the region, a political game of power or start of dictatorial chapter in the democratic setup.
The people of Punjab felt alienated from main stream due to denial of their just demands during a long democratic struggle since independence. As it happen all over the word, it led to militant struggle with great loss of lives of military, police and civilian personnel. Killing of Indira Gandhi and massacre of innocent Sikhs in Delhi and other India cities was also associated with this movement.
2. AS-A2
My blog has improved dramatically from AS in terms of detail and technology. I
remember the first task we had, I went back to my foundation blog and reflected
on what I could have done better and what I could develop.
My detail has becoming more in depth and I am able to explain all decisions. In AS
I didn’t know when to expand on my point and when not to so I would ramble on
at times when I didn’t need to. In A2 I am able to explain my answers with reason
and keep it to the point.
When it comes to technology, I have used far more technology than I could of ever
imagined. I have found new ones and developed on new ones. Compared to AS
where I would use the same technology a lot now I haven't used one technology
too often but a variety.
3. PROGRESS CHART At the start of the year I told myself I wanted
19/20 and looking at my progress I have met my
target. Although I know these aren’t official I’m
still very happy. I’ve worked really hard
conducting extra research and demonstrating
my finding on the blog and it has paid of. My
teachers final comments were that my blog
looked ‘excellent’ and my planning is ‘clear’ she
was impressed by my wix.com demonstration of
my progress with Photoshop and how I
constructed my ancillary products. There
was a slight confusion with the magazine
adverts however when I explained
She put my grade up.
4. INDIVIDUAL POSTS
Although there were only 62 blogging tasks I have managed to
have 152 blog posts excluding the evaluation questions. This is
mostly because of all the explanations of rough cut sessions and
behind the scenes of filming the music video. Individually I have 14
posts which doesn’t sound like a lot however each post is different
and detailed.
5. RESEARCH, PLANNING &
PRODUCTION
This year I have kept up with my blogging and have blogged when
I was suppose to meaning all blogs are in chronological order. This
year I have made sure that each post including individual posts are
in each category correctly which makes it easier for me or anyone
reading to look at. Where as last year there would be some posts
here and there because of gaps which wasn’t as efficient.
However this year I have no gaps and I was always one step
ahead.
6. CHANGES?
If I had the opportunity to do this again I actually wouldn’t do anything
differently. I think this year I have showed my potential and I’m very pleased
with my performance and presentation as a whole. I’ve used so much
technology and written in so much detail that I don’t think I could have done
anymore to get the grade I want. I’ve also done a lot of reflection posts which
has allowed me to improve and become better at blogging. Maybe I would
attempt to do vlogs or I would of asked for more feedback when It came to
my ancillary products.
