Field Studies are great learning opportunities to capture personal details about people and their environments. This activity provides challenges though, like when you find yourself in an uncomfortable position due to an offhand comment or if you notice something about their environment that is a danger. Over the course of my career, I’ve had the opportunity to conduct field studies where sensitive information was the focus and odd, or unexpected, situations came up. Based on my experiences, I’ve put together lessons learned that can help practitioners prepare for performing fields studies, and also provide warning signs for when things start to go awry. These lessons will be given as parables to interviews I’ve conducted with people around dinner tables around the country. These stories range from the humorous to the slightly disturbing. And each has a unique message to tell that will help designers, new and old, prepare for field studies of their own.

Ciò che si vuole evidenziare è l'importanza del desiderio nei percorsi formativi e di come l'emozione e il desiderio si possono far emergere e sostenere attraverso la scelta di metodologie didattiche informali.
Un buon progetto formativo deve tendere infatti a portare i discenti a dire: "A quando il prossimo incontro?" proprio perchè riesce a fare emergere un desiderio innato nelle persone, quello di imparare e scoprire sempre cose nuove.

I am going to do a music video for my final major project. Or a cross
between an awareness video and a music video..
Synopsis of Idea

The song I will be using is the soundtrack from the film Requiem for a
Dream, the video will be of a concept based style. As the song I have
chosen doesn’t have any lyrics I have decided that the story will be loosely
based on addiction, which is what the film Requiem for a Dream focuses on.
I hope to use different quotes from the film or film either written or spoken
over the track. The focus of my idea will be addiction and how it affects a
person, It will be filmed POV and parts not..I also want to use different
photographs I have taken in the video.
I will use some of the camera and editing techniques used in the film, for
example fast cutting, montages, time lapse photography, close ups and
other techniques used.

The target audience of my music video will be anyone who likes the genre
of music this song fits into. It will also be targeted towards people who have
seen the film or read the book, Requiem for a dream. This could also be
targeted towards people who have had experiences with addiction or know
people who have. I think it will appeal more toyoung adults more than an
older audience.

I will have to make sure that the track and spoken quotes from the film fit
in well together. I will also have to make sure that all my shots are well
framed and correct exposures and contrasts are used in any images I decide
to use.

I think that the audience of my music video would like to see dark contents
and scenes that relate to the film.
What production
techniques will you
use to realise your
project?
The pre-production for my project will include a lot of research into
different locations and also different photographers that have influenced
my idea. I will also have to produce detailed risk assessments of places that
I am photographing and filming in. For the main production of my work I
will produce a few test shoots and experiment with the settings (exposure,
brightness and contrast) of my shots, this will help me decide how I want
my shots to look and make filming easier.
