RCE Greater Western Sydney
RCE-GWS partners work through an integrated process of collaboration to tackle these
challenges:
• Transitioning to a low carbon economy
• Developing sustainable communities - health, housing and transport
• Ensuring agricultural sustainability and food
• Conserving biodiversity and river health
As part of our new strategic direction, RCE-GWS will focus on a board range of areas linked

  • 1. RCE Greater Western Sydney Greater Western Sydney (GWS) is located in the western part of the Sydney metropolitan area. Formalised education network around sustainability Hosted by Western Sydney University, our network regionally and internationally supports a range of projects and programs We are: • 1 of 5 in Australia • 1 of 153 RCE’s in the world • 32 active regional partners all working together on ESD GREATER WESTERN SYDNEY POPULATION: 5 MILLION (Apr. 2016) AUSTRALIA POPULATION: ~ 24.5 MILLION (Nov. 2016)

RCE Greater Western Sydney RCE-GWS partners work through an integrated process of collaboration to tackle these challenges: • Transitioning to a low carbon economy • Developing sustainable communities - health, housing and transport • Ensuring agricultural sustainability and food • Conserving biodiversity and river health
  • 3. As part of our new strategic direction, RCE-GWS will focus on a board range of areas linked to the 2030 SGD’s. These themed areas are led by ‘working groups’ headed by partners. RCE Greater Western Sydney
